00:00:45
Speaker
On today's episode, I'll be dilly-dadding a little bit, giving hot takes. Then we're going to be talking about breakups. And then we're going be talking about funny stories from history. But that's enough of the intro.
00:00:57
Speaker
Let's get to the show.
00:01:05
Speaker
You know what I

Music Preferences and Political Views

00:01:06
Speaker
learned about myself? I'm a fair weather fan. Case in point, Lil Wayne just dropped an album today. I care nothing about it.
00:01:16
Speaker
Don't care to hear him talk, rap, or do anything. He kind of pissed me off with his Black Lives Matters comment and hanging out with Trump.
00:01:28
Speaker
And, you know, that kind of rubbed me the wrong way. So I'll turn on you if you don't align with me politically. If I think, well, not if you don't align with me politically. If you are against people, then I don't really rock with you.
00:01:44
Speaker
But to hear an album from him, it's been like over 10 years, if I remember correctly. I don't remember the last time Lil Wayne came out with an album. And if I remember correctly, i don't think it was really hot.
00:01:59
Speaker
There was a time when me and my ex-wife, we were at a bar and Drake had only had the mixtape, right? This is how long ago it was. Drake had only had the mixtape.
00:02:10
Speaker
And he was about to come out with an album and Lil Wayne was about to come out with an album. And I was looking for forward more to Drake than Lil Wayne. Mind you, I had introduced her to Lil Wayne and Lil Wayne's mixtapes.
00:02:24
Speaker
And she fell in love with Lil Wayne. And I was like, yeah, that album's going to be pretty good, but I'm looking forward to Drake. Drake gives me a more complete album. And I've been a Lil Wayne fan since he was rapping like Missy Elliott.
00:02:37
Speaker
But I don't want to hear him rap anymore. I mean, even if Jay-Z came out with an album right now, unless he's talking about old stuff, unless he's talking about gangsters, drug dealing and all that stuff, I don't really want to hear it. I don't want to hear grown up, mature rap from my rappers as I've known them as drug dealers and rappers.
00:02:54
Speaker
But that enlires my problem. I don't like change. What I mean by that is i don't like my artists to change. If you're going to do a Star Wars movie, then do a Star Wars movie. Don't worry, I'm going to into Star Wars later.
00:03:08
Speaker
But I like things the way they are. If it's good, you really got to change it. Maybe remix it a little bit, but don't stray off too far from the path. And I know artists want to be like, well, I like to challenge myself. I'm growing. I don't want you to grow.
00:03:23
Speaker
Only want you grow a little bit. Stay where you are. Because I like that. And so I'm not looking forward to Lil Wayne. But it's a lot of people. Jada Kiss could come out with album. not gonna listen to it. When Michael Jackson came out with albums after Think Remember the Time, I wasn't really looking forward to it. And I was one of the biggest Michael Jackson fans. It just gets to a point where I don't really care anymore.
00:03:47
Speaker
112 could come out with an album. Jodeci could get back together and

Critique of Chris Brown's 'Residuals'

00:03:50
Speaker
come out with an album. And unless Puffy is behind it, and I don't think Puffy is going to be behind anything except a cellmate, then I don't really want to listen to him. Like I'm so somewhat stuck in my ways in my entertainment.
00:04:07
Speaker
I love power. I love the power series. That's the shows that 50 Cent executive produce all drug dealer. Give me gangster stuff all day long. I love that. Give me gangster stuff and Olivia Benson solving crimes. Speaking of which, i ain't really watched a law and order SVU in a while. It kind of SVU is starting to get a little graphic in the crimes that they were showing.
00:04:30
Speaker
They used to show the lead up and then they didn't show the actual crime happening. Not really, really. And then they would just go doot doot. Right? But then they started showing the crimes. andm like, I don't want to see this.
00:04:43
Speaker
um that's That's too much like real life. I don't want to see this. So I don't care about Lil Wayne's album. Don't give a damn about it. And my boys have been listening to it and said it's trash. You know why? Because he waited too long.
00:04:56
Speaker
It's not like it's a comeback tour. we I don't mind him coming back and doing his hits. Maybe remaking those, you know, do a little remix, you know, a little mashup from his old school hits.
00:05:07
Speaker
That's cool. But any new stuff, time has passed and I've moved on. Speaking of music, this isn't a new song, but I'm a Chris Brown fan.
00:05:19
Speaker
I know. He's toxic in a lot of ways. And this song I'm about to talk about falls in line with that because it's a toxic song. So,
00:05:31
Speaker
I really love the song Residuals. Fact of the matter is, I really love a lot of what Chris Brown does. Like Chris Brown makes really good music. But I've been on this kick Residuals.
00:05:42
Speaker
I haven't had no breakup. OK, so it's not like the woman has left me and gone to another man. I haven't had that. So I don't know why I'm really feeling that right now. It's just I get into my low modes where I'm feeling certain songs and I'm feeling that right now.
00:05:59
Speaker
As I'm listening to more than the music and more than a melody and the actual words, I'm realizing just how toxic this song is. I'm going to give you guys just a few lyrics.
00:06:12
Speaker
Tell me who who's getting all of my time. Tell me who's getting all of my love. So the story goes that he and this girl broke up, right?
00:06:25
Speaker
She moved on. He don't want to think about it. He don't want to know about it, but he want to ask these questions. Who's getting all of my love? Who's getting all of my time? All right. That just you just like, all right, boo. Like who is like who you rocking with right now?
00:06:42
Speaker
I want to know. I want to know what's going on. I'm like, mar gay I want to know what's going on. OK, that's not too toxic in and of itself. Here's where it gets worse. Who did you teach? What I taught you Wait a minute, what?
00:06:58
Speaker
Who did you teach what I taught you? He's talking about sexual stuff. So he didn't taught her some sexual stuff and he want to know who she taught those sexual stuff to.
00:07:13
Speaker
What? Why you know about that? That's weird, bro. That's weird and toxic. Gets worse. Better not give him my nickname.
00:07:25
Speaker
Bruh, why in the hell would she give him your nickname? Why are you why are you broken up? She done moved on. You said that you was cool with it, even though you lied.
00:07:38
Speaker
But you can't make somebody to be with you that don't want to be with you. So you let her go. But in the process of letting her go, you still want to know who's giving all her love, who's getting all her time, who is she teaching what you taught her.
00:07:53
Speaker
And you better not give them My nickname? Bruh, what? As I'm listening to the words, I'm like, I can't be grooving to the song because the song is about a te a toxic ex-boyfriend.
00:08:09
Speaker
A toxic ex-boyfriend who's asking questions that could lead to some trouble. Not some trouble in and of itself, like... she's in trouble. But just like, if he's asking that graphic of questions and he wants to know, this is the type of dude that might hit you. Oh, wait a minute.
00:08:29
Speaker
Chris Brown got a history in that. That's not funny. But you know what? I was talking to somebody about that in the history of him and Rihanna, but he's also got some other problematic history. But let's just talk about him Rihanna.
00:08:44
Speaker
I was telling the person, Rihanna done forgave him. Who are you not to forgive him? I'm not condoning what he did. Please, please. I know I told the story last week how I picked up the woman and wrapped my arms around her so that she couldn't hit me, carried her and took her out of my room, out of my apartment so because she wouldn't leave.
00:09:06
Speaker
I didn't, you know, like, you know, disrespectfully, toxically, you know, put my hands on her. You know, I don't condone that type of stuff. You don't put your hands on a woman, especially not me. I'm six foot four, probably about 240 right now.
00:09:20
Speaker
I know I need to drop about 20 pounds. I'm going to get there. It's been tough after the election. Potato chips. I'm going to get there. But no, I'm not going to put no hands on woman. I don't condone what he did to Rihanna.
00:09:31
Speaker
But if they are cool now, who are you to still hold a grudge against him? You could say, I don't respect that. And because of that, I don't want to be a fan of his anymore. And OK, you.
00:09:43
Speaker
well within your right because I said earlier that I'm not a fan of Lil Wayne anymore because of his stance on Black Lives Matter and him taking pictures with Trump cool but don't be calling him out of his name especially when the victim is forgiving him.
00:10:02
Speaker
And how do I know the victim is forgiving him? Because every time they're around each other, she gives him a hug and a kiss. This woman has moved on, become a billionaire. Mary got two beautiful kids performing at the Super Bowl, announcing her second pregnancy, just living life and living good.
00:10:18
Speaker
Why you going to hold on to pain that she ain't even holding on to? That's weird. Moving on. I said something

Appreciation for Star Wars 'Andor'

00:10:26
Speaker
about Star Wars earlier. I love Star Wars. I love all the trilogies, even though the last trilogies, episode seven, eight, nine, you know.
00:10:35
Speaker
The story was a little wonky, but I loved Rey. I could watch Rey on all day long. You know, Rey Skywalker. Now, that's what she's called. Anyway, so I love anything that has to do with Star Wars. I love the cartoons. I love the Clone Wars. I love Rebels. I love Bad Batch.
00:10:51
Speaker
i I love the TV shows. The Mandalorian is great. I love Acolyte. Wish they hadn't canceled it. But, you know, toxic men didn't want to see a black force user.
00:11:05
Speaker
I swear this world is so aggravating. You know, I love their shows. Another one of the Star Wars shows is that I really love is Andor. Now, Andor season one is the backstory of the events that led up to Rogue One that led up to Episode Four. Basically, Rebels catching the plans to the Death Star so they could blow up the Death Star in Episode Four, right?
00:11:31
Speaker
The very first movie that came out when Luke was one with the Force and blew up the Death Star. Okay. So Andor is the lead up to Rogue One, which shows how they got the plans to blow up the Death Star.
00:11:44
Speaker
One of the main characters got a spinoff show called Andor. It's Captain Andor. Season one was great. Season two, I watched the first episode and I was like, I'll get to when I get to it. I be in little moods, kind of like with residuals. I get in little moods where I'm like, I'm not feeling this right now.
00:12:01
Speaker
King of... um Mayor of Kingstown. Loved that show. Started the third season and just stopped halfway through it. Don't know why I stopped. Just stopped. Haven't watched The Godfather Harlem the last four episodes. Don't know why. I just get in a little moods where I don't feel like rocking with something.
00:12:19
Speaker
So I got in that little mood when it came to Andor. And my brother was bugging the hell out of me and my sister. Almost wrote us off. Said that he was going to take us out of his... um benefits pack, not benefits package. You know, when somebody passes away, they leave stuff, you know, that he was going to take us out of that for some strange reason to slip in my mind right now. He was joking, obviously, but he was so adamant that we watched this TV show. So finally I got into one of my moods where I wanted to watch it.
00:12:49
Speaker
And it happened to be last weekend. And it just so coincided with the series finale. and Okay. Not just the season, the series finale. So I had, I think 11 shows to watch in close to an hour, in between 45 minutes to an hour because it's Disney Plus. So they can fluctuate with the time.
00:13:11
Speaker
And I went through it, binged through it all last weekend. Loved it. Love that show. Now, the reason why I was kind of off the show is because being a Star Wars fan, I like stuff with the force.
00:13:26
Speaker
lightsabers, duels, things of that nature. It's none of that in this TV show. What this TV show is, and I can't take credit for this take, I have to give credit to Where It's Due, John Campaniero's show. He does a show about a variety of stuff in entertainment.
00:13:46
Speaker
And they quoted on the show that Andor was the first time there was a grown-up do for Star Wars.
00:13:59
Speaker
What I mean by that is, and and or like when you watch the episodes, the movies, you know the Empire's bad because they're the bad guys, right? But you don't know how evil they are.
00:14:11
Speaker
In these shows, Andor and Obi-Wan had a show That show showed just how evil and in the Mandalorian shows just how evil the empire is, just how much they oppress and hold people down how and how important it was for the rebels to succeed and overthrow the empire.
00:14:35
Speaker
There were stakes. This was a grownup story and it was a grownup story because it's a story talking about rebels, right? rebelling against an evil empire. And no matter where you place that story in history and in what land, what civilization, that story always resonates, right? There's there's always an oppressor and somebody trying to defeat that oppressor.
00:15:03
Speaker
it's just a great It's just a great story. I highly recommend watching If you haven't watched it, watch season one, watch season two, roll that in to Rogue One because it falls right in. Like ah the one scene ends and it leads right into episode four, which is the very first Star Wars movie.
00:15:21
Speaker
And then if you so choose, go ahead and just binge them. I might. Every new year, Every New Year's, because I would have a bunch of days off, I would just binge Star Wars.
00:15:35
Speaker
One day, i watched all nine episodes. Just sat up there with some tequila with my boy guy, Rest His Soul Crypto. some Some snacks and watched episode one through nine and loved every minute of it.
00:15:51
Speaker
Loved every minute of it. It got to a point where I couldn't go through the whole binge. I would start either one through three you know or four through six or seven through nine. You know what saying?
00:16:02
Speaker
Nine hours was a long time. But I think it was snowing on that particular New Year's Day or it had snowed, so there was no real reason for me to go out in the streets. So I just stayed in the house. But I love Star Wars, and I highly recommend Andor because it's a grown-up show.
00:16:16
Speaker
If you say to yourself, I'm not rocking with Star Wars, it's kind of childish. Andor is a grown up show. I highly recommend it. Go watch it. If you don't have Disney Plus, steal somebody's Disney Plus and watch it.
00:16:28
Speaker
And don't steal. But steal if you can. All right. To end this segment, y'all want to hear something messy? Do you? I'm to tell you a story about something that's going on that I saw the other day that just was, you know, messy.
00:16:44
Speaker
So I like to gossip. I don't ever talk about, well, I mean, I guess y'all hear me talk about my stuff on the show, but I love to talk about other people's stuff. And I love when people tell me about this stuff. I'm messy.
00:16:55
Speaker
I'm messy. Okay. So gonna tell you your story. Come in close. Come in close. Don't tell nobody what I'm about to tell you. Okay. Keep it between me and you. So I'm in the gym and I've noticed this couple every time I go to the gym for about two years now.
00:17:13
Speaker
She goes way more than he does. But I notice him. And I notice him because the couple is awkward.
00:17:24
Speaker
And what I mean by it they don't match. She's yeah I'm not attracted to her, but I can understand why some people would be attracted to her. And there's nothing attractive about him. Now, this isn't uncommon, right? We normally see attractive females with attractive males. It's just, you know, there are other differences, right?
00:17:45
Speaker
but t between them that makes the relationship stark from the outside looking in that I can't get into specifics because if any of y'all saw me or saw them, y'all would know exactly who I'm talking about.
00:17:58
Speaker
And remember, this is just supposed to be between me and you. All right. So I know this couple. I don't know if they're married. I know they're together though, right? Two years.
00:18:09
Speaker
I know they're together. Once again, she comes to the gym way more frequently than he does. Haven't seen him in a while, but he's gone stretches and not going to the gym because he's not in shape.
00:18:21
Speaker
Okay. that That's what I really want to say. She tries to stay in shape and he don't stay in shape. Well, With people in the gym community, when you regularly see people because you go the same times every day, even if you don't sit down and have a conversation, you mouth hello or you wave or you give a head nod or or something, you acknowledge them because the gym community is always welcoming.
00:18:46
Speaker
I'm one of those people. I have my headphones in all the time. There may not be anything coming through the headphones, but they're in. Okay. That's because I just want to acknowledge you, but I don't want to have an actual conversation.
00:19:00
Speaker
This person never acknowledges me. Now I figured because she never acknowledged me that that was out of respect for her man, because I never really seen her acknowledge anybody else in the gym.
00:19:12
Speaker
So I didn't take personal offense to it. Not like I would anyway, but I figured that that's just who she is. There's also this other person that comes to the gym. He's a real talkative dude, real, got a lot of personality.
00:19:28
Speaker
I could tell he's a little bit of a hoe because he goes and talks to everybody, but it's super flirtatious to all the women. I've never seen them in the gym together because he comes in randomly. I see him sometimes in the evening, in the morning.
00:19:43
Speaker
He comes in randomly, right? So I've never seen them in the gym together. Mind you, this is a different person than her boyfriend and or husband. Okay, this is another guy.
00:19:54
Speaker
He talks to me all the time, even when I don't want to. i' like, hey, man, in the middle of a set, this weight is kind of heavy. I'm going to continue on working out. You take care. But he's it just he's a chit-chatter, right?
00:20:04
Speaker
He's a chit-chatter. Well, I'm in the gym the other day and I'm working out. And I see her once again. I don't see her man in there. And then Mr. Talkalot is in there.
00:20:18
Speaker
When she sees him, she becomes super friendly. And I'm like, oh, okay. I even hear her giggle. ain't never heard her giggle before. Okay, remember, got my headphones on.
00:20:31
Speaker
And I was listening music. But as soon as I saw that she was being, you know, communicative communicative with another person i turned down my music because i was curious or messy so she's even giggling they're joking around and stuff like that she's down on the mat and he gets in her face not like you know like beefing or anything like jokingly gets in their face Then they kiss.
00:21:01
Speaker
Ladies and gentlemen, I nearly dropped the weight on my foot because they kissed. And I'm like, what the hell is going on? Mind you, this dude flirts with every woman.
00:21:12
Speaker
He was taking a phone call in the gym, talking to another woman on FaceTime. Before he interacted with this woman that I see all the time, he landed in the kiss. it It didn't stop right there.
00:21:26
Speaker
They was joking, laughing, giggling. He's smacking her on the butt and all types of stuff. And the only thing my heart sunk. Why did my heart sink? My heart sunk because. Did her and her man break up, get a divorce?
00:21:40
Speaker
Are they still together? Because. I've seen her and I've seen Mr. Talkative Dude and I've seen them outside of the gym. I know I've never seen them together.
00:21:56
Speaker
so are they, is she cheating? Did she break out with my man? Are these two dating? They don't seem like they're dating. Are they just hunching?
00:22:08
Speaker
What's going on? And so I was dumbfounded. And there's another person that goes to the gym that I see all the time that I actually do talk to because he's a friendly person and he's got my type of sense of humor.
00:22:20
Speaker
And I couldn't wait to see him because I was like, man, I got something tell you. I got some mess because he's messy, too. That's the reason why i get along with him. He's messy, too. He always got some gossip. And I was like, hey, man, this is what's going on.
00:22:30
Speaker
He's like, what? I said, yeah, man, this is crazy. Either her and her man broke up or she is openly cheating in the gym where everybody knows each other. We know who they are.
00:22:46
Speaker
It's crazy. There's more to the story and going to get to the bottom of it. I don't know all the facts yet, but you damn well better believe I'm to get to the bottom of it.
00:22:58
Speaker
But that's enough of talking and about all this messiness. Speaking of her and her husband, we gonna get into breakups next.

Childhood Breakup Story

00:23:16
Speaker
Man, there's nothing worse than a breakup. I mean, the Jacksons, the Beatles, Ike and Tina. Well, maybe not Ike and Tina. New edition, Ross and Rachel, Martin and Gina.
00:23:28
Speaker
It's been a lot of breakups. And they suck. gonna tell story of one of my breakups.
00:23:40
Speaker
I was in the third grade. was dating this girl named Latoya. We had been dating for about three days. She was my girlfriend. Everybody knew it.
00:23:52
Speaker
One day at lunch, Latoya asked me, hey, you want to have some my kiwi? I said, ew, I don't want know kiwi.
00:24:05
Speaker
She says, what? You don't like kiwi? Mind you, never had kiwi before in my life. But it looked ugly. It looked disgusting. And I got the same eating habits that I did when I was eight years old in the third grade.
00:24:19
Speaker
So if it looks ugly and disgusting, no, I don't like it. And Latoya broke up with me because I didn't like kiwi. I went to the bathroom after she said that she didn't want to be my girlfriend anymore.
00:24:33
Speaker
ah cried a little bit. Well, because I stubbed my toe on the way to the bathroom. That's the real reason why I cried. I'm a G. I don't cry over no breakups. But breakups are sad.
00:24:45
Speaker
You want to know what isn't sad? What breakup isn't sad to me? Elon

Elon Musk vs. Donald Trump

00:24:51
Speaker
Musk and Donald Trump. Now, I said I wasn't going talk about politics. And I'm not going to talk about politics.
00:24:58
Speaker
The two people I'm talking about happen to be pseudo-politicians. So that's the only thing that has to do about politics. I'm here for the funny.
00:25:09
Speaker
So what the hell is happening? So everybody knows that right probably about a year ago, A year ago, Elon Musk started riding for Trump, backing Trump.
00:25:23
Speaker
He not only backed Trump, he invested almost $300 million into him getting elected. Because of this great ah bit of money that he had given Donald Trump to win the election, Elon Musk was in charge of being the head of Doge and cutting down Government expenses.
00:25:48
Speaker
But the alliance began to unravel recently, especially when Trump's signature tax and spending bill, which Musk has been, you know, kind of denouncing a little bit.
00:26:01
Speaker
Kicked Elon Musk out of office, or at least that's what Trump has said. Because Musk has been voicing his concerns. Well, it all came to a head this week and we got a Twitter beef. Well, it was X for Elon Musk and Trump on his true social.
00:26:20
Speaker
Going back and forth and back and forth. So Musk escalated his criticism of Trump's big, beautiful bill on X, surprising many Republican leaders and sparking what a wave of online debate.
00:26:33
Speaker
On June 5th, the feud exploded exploded publicly. with Trump in the Oval Office expressing disappointment and astonishment at Musk attacks, suggesting Musk was upset about the removal of the electrical vehicle tax incentives from the bill.
00:26:50
Speaker
So basically what happened is Trump got this... He calls it the big, beautiful bill. First of all, he comes up with the dumbest names. Is my man in the third grade, just like third grade Bruce was when he, Latoya broke up with him.
00:27:07
Speaker
Because big, beautiful bill, they couldn't come up with a better. Okay. Forget the title of the bill. But what they took out of the bill was is ah ah the EV tax incentives.
00:27:21
Speaker
that was going to lead people to buy more of electric vehicles, which, you know, Musk is, you know, in that ball game. You remember when, you know, they had the little pitch of all the Tesla cars out in front of the White House?
00:27:38
Speaker
when Trump was hawking Tesla cars. Yeah, you know, that's that's where Musk get his thing, right? That's where he get his kids money, that and government contracts, right? Tesla was losing a lot of money. That's the reason why supposedly he was leaving his position in Doge. We find out later, Trump is saying, nah, fired his ass.
00:27:57
Speaker
That's what Trump is saying. Well, once Trump came out in overhaul for saying, yeah, I don't know what Musk's talking about. He just must feel some type of way because I took out these incentives and I guess, you know, he feels some type way because he's going lose some money.
00:28:11
Speaker
Elon Musk went nuclear on Twitter or X, if that's what you want to call it. He retaliated by labeling Trump ungrateful, claiming that without his support, Trump would not have won the 2024 election or maintain a Republican troll of the Congress.
00:28:30
Speaker
It got even nastier. Because then Musk said. And oh yeah by the way.
00:28:41
Speaker
Let y'all know. Trump in them Epstein files.
00:28:46
Speaker
Yeah he went there. He went there. But. The reason why he went there because Trump was like, man, he just mad because he wanted to do this government spending.
00:28:57
Speaker
And now it's going to cost him some money. And he wasn't good at his job. And he's wilding out. So Musk's come back with he and the Epstein files. And then Trump responded back with threatening to terminate his government contracts and subsidies for Musk companies, and including Tesla, SpaceX, and Mark Musk as having gone crazy.
00:29:19
Speaker
Yo, this breakup is crazy, but we should have seen it coming. They don't have no loyalty. Elon Musk, I was looking the other day who had more baby mamas and kids, Elon Musk or Nick Cannon.
00:29:34
Speaker
And just to clarify, Elon Musk has more kids. Nick Cannon has more baby mamas. Nick Cannon has 12 kids with six women. Elon Musk has 13 kids with four women.
00:29:48
Speaker
So more baby mamas, Nick Cannon, more kids, Elon Musk. But they ain't got no loyalty. You got people fighting Elon Musk for custody. He's had, he didn't fire people right and left.
00:30:00
Speaker
No loyalty. And Trump, who has left the White House after working for him and hadn't written a book or a tell-all tell talking about how crazy is? Almost everybody.
00:30:11
Speaker
They got no type of loyalty. So we should have known when the world's most powerful man, because he's president of the United States and they say that's the most powerful position and the world's richest man, who even if he loses 100 billion, still well richer than anybody else close to him, start beefing.
00:30:31
Speaker
It's going to get crazy. As Bernie Mac would say, man, that boy is crazy. It got, it's getting crazy out here. My man, Elon Musk, threw out throughout the Epstein files.
00:30:43
Speaker
Trump talking about, we gonna kill your subsidies. Now, and contracts. Now, it's funny, but not at the same time. Because if Trump is in the Epstein files and they haven't been released because he is, that's shady.
00:31:03
Speaker
That's impeachable because that means he's holding the files from coming out. That's impeachable. Also, Trump threatening to get rid of his government contracts because he don't like the way a person talk.
00:31:19
Speaker
That's not cool neither. Elon Musk, if you knew he was in Epstein files and you knew it was shady stuff going all around and you ain't say nothing. What's that say about you?
00:31:31
Speaker
Shadiness all around. It was fine when Elon Musk was killing everybody else's job.
00:31:38
Speaker
Cutting people's food and health care was all good. But the moment it hit his pocketbooks, then it's a problem. and And they both got beef with each other.
00:31:50
Speaker
Yeah. So this feud has led to an historic drop in Tesla stock price, a erasing 150 billion in market value in just one day. Musk has threatened and then retracted to decommission SpaceX, which is NASA's program, and even appeared to endorse calls for Trump's a pre impeachment.
00:32:08
Speaker
He didn't appear. He did. Well, I mean, he appeared like he did. He somebody said on X like, you know, they should impeach Trump and J.D. Vance should become president, which, you know,
00:32:21
Speaker
All of it is bad. And then Elon Musk was like, yeah, let's do that. Or he just said, yeah, I'm and let's do that. But he he he he he he backed it.
00:32:31
Speaker
Both men's social media platforms became battlegrounds with insults, accusations flying in real time. I mean, on June 5th from about noon to three.
00:32:42
Speaker
It was crazy out here in these streets. I mean, I was refreshing my internet feed just so I could catch up and get the latest info. So how does this affect us in political and business, right? What are the political and business implications?
00:33:00
Speaker
The RIF threatens Republican unity ahead of the midterm elections as must financial support and so Seneca Valley's influence are significant. Um, They haven't really had Republican unity, right? Like they've been trying to negotiate all types of stuff to get this big, beautiful bill passed because some Republicans are saying, no, this is going to add to the deficit. No, by the way, it is.
00:33:24
Speaker
I'm getting tired of YouTube running ads of these ordinary people talking about how we need to keep the tax cuts and we need to pass this bill because our taxes are going to go up. I guess people really don't give a damn what happens to their kids, but Okay, or that we can't pay our bills, but okay.
00:33:42
Speaker
Democrats are watching from the sideline with some strategies knowing that any Musk move toward the left would hurt Republicans further. He moves based on how it's going to affect his pocketbook.
00:33:55
Speaker
Both of them do. People seem to forget that before Trump ran as a Republican, he was a Democrat for years. Then Obama made some jokes at him at a corresponding dinner.
00:34:08
Speaker
And then he became Republican. That's how that went down. Elon Musk was the darling of the left because of his electrical vehicle electric vehicles, EV vehicles, right?
00:34:20
Speaker
Until he kind of went, you know, all the way to the right and did some, you know, racist and anti-Semitic stuff. But he damn sure did make sure that his white South Africans got Got into the country over anybody else right before he imploded and left the White House, didn't he?
00:34:39
Speaker
This feud is overshadowing political news, dominating headlines and social media. It's crazy out here. It's bigger than Pac and Biggie. Because Musk did do his hit him up.
00:34:52
Speaker
Pac said, that's the reason why, yo, you fat I beeped off all the cuss words, but y'all know the hit him up song. Elon Musk said, that's the reason why you're in Epstein files, you orange mother.
00:35:05
Speaker
that's That's what it is. Same thing. It's hit him up. It's hit him up in the political world. That's what it is. But I want to get to two juicy quotes. Without me, Trump would have lost the elections.
00:35:16
Speaker
Dems would control the House and Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate. Elon Musk. Donald Trump.
00:35:27
Speaker
The simplest method to conserve funds in our budget, save billions, is to eliminate Elon Musk government subsidies and contracts. They both going for the chuggler.
00:35:40
Speaker
And breakups, look, we've all seen bad breakups. Remember the movie, The Breakup, with Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston? You remember that? We know about breakups. We've seen bad breakups. This is bad, but we all saw it coming.
00:35:53
Speaker
We saw it coming. We knew that it was false when it all began. It was brought together under shady terms.
00:36:03
Speaker
It was brought together because both of them wanted power. It wasn't brought together to help people. was brought together to help themselves. In a moment where one person felt like this partnership was no longer going to help them, the breakup was going to happen.
00:36:22
Speaker
They've both broken up with a lot of people and it's always nasty. Just so happens that most of the time the other person doesn't have as much power.
00:36:35
Speaker
Yes, one person is the president of the United States, but the other person, the other person is the richest person in the world. Both are toxic, both are cutthroat,
00:36:51
Speaker
Both don't care about hurting other people. They don't care what they say. They'll say anything. I'm waiting for this to get worse. You know what they should do? I saw a meme that they should make a pay-per-view of Elon Musk and Donald Trump fighting. That'll solve our deficit.
00:37:09
Speaker
Put all the money towards the deficit. That'll solve our death deficit. Because everybody would pay to see that fight. Hopefully they fought to the death. A dual death. don't wish death on anybody. But y'all know what I mean.
00:37:21
Speaker
Like this is crazy. Breakups are always crazy. It's just bad when it's going to affect us. Yes, it's messy.
00:37:32
Speaker
And I love the messiness of it. I enjoy the messiness of it. It's funny to me. What's not funny is the ramifications of these two clashing.
00:37:44
Speaker
When Godzilla and King Kong go at each other, little people get stepped on and die.
00:37:52
Speaker
You think that's not going to be the same case here? So yes, we can laugh at the absurdity of all of this because it is absolutely absurd. And I'm loving the absurdity of it.
00:38:04
Speaker
Just loving it. I want them to go deeper. I want Elon to finally come out and say, and I fixed the election.
00:38:14
Speaker
I want one of his kettle mean fueled rages to just come on out and just admit it that they stole the election. I want him to do it. But with all the absurdity and the funniness in the absurdity, just remember, these are two of the most powerful people in the world.
00:38:31
Speaker
And this fighting is going to affect the little man.
00:38:44
Speaker
Y'all know I love

Humorous Historical Stories

00:38:45
Speaker
history. I'm a historian. And y'all know I love the absurd because I'm messy. And y'all know I love the laugh because... I'm a clown. So why not take all of those elements and load it into a segment and talk about history's funniest stories.
00:39:03
Speaker
Now, these are stories that you might know about, might not know about. They're not real long stories, so I got several of them. But I'm just going talk a little bit about some stuff that's happened in history that you might not know about that is pretty funny.
00:39:18
Speaker
Let's talk about the sinking of the U-1206.
00:39:23
Speaker
It was a German shumer submarine in World War II, and you will not believe how it was sunk. So the U-1206 was a high-tech submarine that had a high-tech toilet that required special training to operate.
00:39:39
Speaker
One day, a crew member flushed it incorrectly, causing seawater to flood in and mix with battery acid, releasing chlorine gas. The slu sub was forced to surface where it was promptly bombed by the British. It's the only submarine in history sunk by its own toilet.
00:39:57
Speaker
Now, y'all know how I feel about the bathroom. More specifically, y'all know how I feel about the toilet. Very particular about the bathroom. Very particular about the toilet. In a way, you could say I'm anal about the whole thing.
00:40:12
Speaker
I know that was corny, but I had to go there. And, yeah you know, I've talked about it often how I have a bidet. I ain't playing. I got a bidet. My family got bidets.
00:40:24
Speaker
We are a bidet family. So I know a little bit about a fancy toilet. Actually, it's not really fancy. It's an attachment bidet that anybody could get on Amazon for like $20. I told him my boy about it.
00:40:35
Speaker
He got one for it. He got a few for his house. They're not that expensive. But if I had the money to buy a high-tech toilet, I absolutely would. Because once again, the bathroom is important to me.
00:40:49
Speaker
What I would make sure to do is make sure I knew how to operate it. Because like if me and you buy a fancy toilet, we might flood our bathroom, you know I'm saying?
00:41:00
Speaker
And that's never a good thing. You flood your bathroom with toilet. Hopefully it was, you know, was s flooded with clean water and not, you know, you didn't use the restroom and it's flooded that way. And we all been there where toilet has been been stocked up, you know, it happens, right? Like these are as instruments.
00:41:19
Speaker
But when you invest in a high tech toilet and it takes ah special instructions on how to operate it, you want to make sure that anybody that's going to be using that toilet has followed the instructions, know the instructions so they know how to operate it.
00:41:37
Speaker
These fools, luckily, because they were Germans in World War war two We were fighting against the Germans. OK, for those in his for those in the back of room that don't understand history, we were fighting against Nazi Germany in World War Two.
00:41:52
Speaker
So it's good that this this submarine was bombed and sunken by the British. However. It's still pretty stupid to be sunken.
00:42:05
Speaker
because you got this high tech toilet that this food and mixed water, sea water with battery acid and release chlorine gas to the point where you got to rise up the sea level and immediately get sunk.
00:42:19
Speaker
And that's just a story about World War II. What about roller skates? Y'all like roller skates. I dig roller skates sometimes. You know, used to go to roller skating rink and I use it i used to be all right.
00:42:32
Speaker
I used to be all right. you know what saying? With a little kid roller skating rinks. if If people are listening and watching this and don't know what roller skating rinks were, Or haven't seen the movie ATL. You know, just watch ATL. That'll tell you everything you need to know.
00:42:45
Speaker
Back in the 80s and the 90s and the 70s as well, you know, road skating rinks was the thing. You know, they were places that you would go and, you know, you would meet people and hang out. They they were...
00:42:55
Speaker
Little pockets before there were malls. There were road skating rinks. That's where the young people would go. You know, I'm saying you might find you a little tender rony there. Y'all might skate. You know, I went to the YMCA summer camp every summer.
00:43:08
Speaker
Right. So third, fourth, fifth grade going to no third and fourth grade going to the YMCA summer camp. Every Wednesday we went to the road skating rink.
00:43:19
Speaker
You know, you play your little games in arcade, get you some pizza and a Coke, and you roller skate. Now, I loved roller skate. What always sucked, though, is when they turn the lights down low and do the soft music, the romantic music, and you had to find a partner.
00:43:32
Speaker
I was in, you know, I was in an area where I was at the YMCA, okay? okay And there weren't a lot of kids that looked like me, and I wasn't the first choice. So a lot of times I...
00:43:44
Speaker
Just got off the roller skating rink when the romantic songs came off. But i still have fond memories of roller skating. I'm sure you guys do too. You know what the most important thing is with roller skating?
00:43:57
Speaker
Is learning how to stop. Stopping is important. Why am I saying all this? John Joseph Merlin. was the inventor of roller skates. Y'all may not even know that. That's history. That's a history fact and trivia that you can that you could take and win nowadays, wherever y'all play trivia or if you play in at-home Jeopardy. His name was John Joseph Merlin.
00:44:22
Speaker
He's the inventor of the roller skate. He decided to unveil his creation at a fancy party. I then came up with this new invention that is going to revolutionize wheels on your feet because nobody I think at this point had wheels on their feet and they can move around faster and control all that good stuff.
00:44:42
Speaker
Right. I'm going to debut him at a party. But he hadn't practiced stopping yet. So he rolled straight into a giant mirror, shattered it, injuring himself in front of all of the guests.
00:44:57
Speaker
It was a spectacular and literally crash debut for roller skates. Now you think to yourself, you're gonna came with an invention that everybody's going to do it at a certain point in time. Everybody was roller skating. It was a big thing. You could do fancy stuff. Watch it again. Watch the movie ATL.
00:45:15
Speaker
Shows you the culture of roller skating. Roller skating is still big right now. As matter of fact, it's having a resurgence. Seeing it on TikTok stuff, young kids, Gen Z and Gen Alpha out there roller skating. I like to see that.
00:45:25
Speaker
Okay, that's good. That's good. Passing down the good stuff from our generation onto them and getting rid of the toxic masculinity and the trauma and all that other stuff. But Here it is. You're debuting this thing that's going to be celebrated for decades.
00:45:43
Speaker
And your ass don't know how to stop. So not only did you do this invention and make a fool out of yourself, who the hell is going to want to do it afterwards? But somebody somebody decided to take a chance. Somebody was like, it's probably a good idea if he just learned how to stop.
00:45:58
Speaker
Probably would have been a great idea if he had learned how to stop. All right. Y'all ever been to Boston? I have. One of the things that I marveled at at Boston when I was in Boston, I was in downtown Boston.
00:46:12
Speaker
Walking all around, it was nighttime. I live in D.C. If you walk in D.C. at nighttime, guess one thing that you are guaranteed that you're going to see? You might see this before you even see people.
00:46:25
Speaker
Rats. You know why? D.C. isn't dirty. It's just kind of it's just old. parts Parts of it is dirty. No doubt about it. But it's kind of old.
00:46:36
Speaker
But D.C. isn't older than Boston. Or maybe it is. I don't know. But Boston is old as hell, too. Right. And one thing that I noticed because I had to duck behind an alley and go to the bathroom. So I've dumped behind this dumpster and I was like, I'm going to see some rats.
00:46:52
Speaker
So I got to hurry up. go to the bathroom so I don't know i'll see no rats because I don't like rats. You know what I didn't see? Rats. You know what I noticed? Baltimore streets are so clean.
00:47:05
Speaker
They're so clean. They weren't always like that. They weren't like that during the great molasses flood in 1919. That's right, ladies and gentlemen. There was a molasses flood in Boston in 1919. Now, you know what molasses is, right?
00:47:19
Speaker
Molasses is that thick stuff. Spill some molasses on your sink counter and try to clean that up in a timely fashion. That should be, remember the TV show Double Dare?
00:47:31
Speaker
That should be a double dare. You having to clean, spill molasses off of your sink and have it spotless and not sticky. Well, in Boston, a giant storage tank of molasses burst, sending 25, sending a 25 foot wave of sticky syrup through the streets at 35 miles per hour.
00:47:52
Speaker
I don't think y'all heard me. It was a storage tank of molasses that burst and it sent 25 foot wave. foot wave of molasses throughout the streets of Boston at 35 miles per hour.
00:48:08
Speaker
Now, 35 miles per hour might not seem that fast to you. You might be like, well, that's not that fast. Jump in front of a car at thirty five um that's going 35 miles per hour. You're going to see just how fast that is. So you got molasses rolling through the streets at 35 miles per hour.
00:48:24
Speaker
People and horses was being swept away because this is 1919, right? They riding horses. People and horses being swept away. Buildings were being destroyed. The cleanup took months.
00:48:34
Speaker
And for decades after, the locals claimed they could still smell it on hot days. Now, I guess... I was in Boston in 2017. night and two thousand seventeen So it was 98 years later. I didn't smell no molasses. But I also, I wasn't specifically looking for the smell of molasses.
00:48:55
Speaker
If I go to Boston or if you go to Boston, go downtown into them streets where now it was 106 years ago, there was a molasses flood.
00:49:10
Speaker
And a 25 foot wave of molasses was running through the streets at 35 miles per hour, knocking over people a and horses.
00:49:22
Speaker
People and horses. Think about it. I asked you, how long do you think it would take you to clean the sink if you spilled a bottle of molasses on it? Now, say it's a smash. You smash the bottle of molasses on the on the kitchen sink.
00:49:37
Speaker
Now, say that you smashed the bottle of the molasses on the kitchen sink, okay? Some fell on the floor. You go down to clean it on the floor. You didn't realize you didn't clean up all the molasses off the sink and drip it to your hair.
00:49:50
Speaker
How long would it take for you to get that molasses out your hair? Now, for me, not that long because got a bald head. So you just wipe it off, just get in the shower and shower for days to finally get the sticky molasses off of me.
00:50:03
Speaker
To get it in your hair, you got to cut your hair. These people was in a wave, 25 foot wave going 35 miles an hour in molasses. All in them. They had to throw the clothes completely out.
00:50:14
Speaker
The cleanup took months just to clean the streets. Molasses.
00:50:23
Speaker
I find this stuff funny. You just the people there are probably people in Boston that don't even know about the great molasses flood. I studied World War Two. Thoroughly in college, my last two semesters were not specifically about World War II, but talking about American history from World War to at that time, the current state, which was the Clinton years, right?
00:50:51
Speaker
Actually, wasn't the Clinton years anymore. It was W's years, but it stopped at the Clinton years, right? So there was a whole month of studying World War II. I didn't learn about the U-1260 boat that was sunk because of a toilet.
00:51:09
Speaker
I didn't know about the roller skates. I didn't know about John Merlin, John Joseph Merlin, and him coming up the roller skates. I didn't know about that. Damn sure didn't know that he didn't know how to stop.
00:51:22
Speaker
Damn sure didn't know that he crashed into a mirror, shattering the glass, startling all the guests. Hey, guys, I came up with this new invention. You just roll, roll, roll your ass into a mirror. That's what he did.
00:51:33
Speaker
I
00:51:37
Speaker
wonder if anybody stole some molasses, made some big beans. That's what I would have did. Shit. Anyway, ladies and gentlemen, this was a silly show. I know.

Episode Conclusion & Thanks
