Introduction to the Podcast and Characters

00:00:00
Speaker
Did we make it, Chicken Wizard?
00:00:28
Speaker
Hello everyone and welcome to this week's episode of the Fellowship of the Tabletop. We are a live play 5e D&D podcast set in the magical, home-brewed world of Aerith. My name is Mark, hello, and I am the Dungeon Master. And also with us for today's episode, we have Casey, who plays the human champion, Helena Sleetgard. I'll be there for you.
00:00:47
Speaker
We've got Danny, who plays the human cleric, Claude. When the rain starts to fall. We've got Darren, who plays the human fighter, Rogue Robin. I'll be there for you.

Humorous Banter and Lighthearted Tone

00:00:58
Speaker
We've got Callum, who plays the gnome sorcerer, Folly Fizzlebang the Ninth. Hello. Aw. We've got- Hello, Callum. Kick him out. That laugh, that was a chuckle, that was. We've got Ian, who plays the dragonborn barbarian, Paladin, Drago.
00:01:16
Speaker
like I've been there before. And we've got Will who plays the human bard, Carstan. I'll be there for you.
00:01:24
Speaker
Because you're there for me too. Callum, you are a fun sponge. Yeah. You are an absolute fun sponge. A douche. An utter douche.

Recap of Previous Events

00:01:38
Speaker
A fun sponge. And that's all the time we have got for this week's episode of The Fellish. Now can't we kill Folly first? I have for Folly this episode. I will now be leaving the podcast. I have handed him my letter of regnum asian while being forced to do so. Reclamation.
00:01:53
Speaker
I'm going to mute him and kick him. I'm going to mute him first and then kick him. I remember killing his character off screen. Anyway, so some things happened on last week's episode of The Fellowship of the Tabletop. Would you folks like to hear about it? No. Oh, okay. So on this week's episode...
00:02:13
Speaker
on last week's episode of the College of the Tabletop. Sorry, I thought you actually were talking to the audience there. I was in! I don't know why. I thought you were breaking the fourth wall. I thought it was like some kind of...
00:02:28
Speaker
No one's going to call up and be like, yes, actually, I would like to hear that. It's not a fucking pantomime. What do you think? Oh, no. Yes, it is. I'm still seething over Callum. I think that's what it was. Yeah. I've ruined the podcast already and we're only two minutes and 47 seconds in. I really want to know what happened last week. You want to know? I really do. Well, listen to last fucking week's episode then, you bitch.
00:02:52
Speaker
Now, on last week's episode, the Fellowship of the Tabletop, we finally had a bit of a family reunion with Sebastian Sleekgaard being kind of drawn out of the double-orc pub by Robin, who had dressed himself up in disguise, managed to get out.
00:03:07
Speaker
and dragged him out along the way to speak to Sebastian in a corridor. The back alley of the Double Ork pub, a now frequented place three times, it's been frequented by this party so far. The most visited place in Goldview so far, there's massive city and there's one alley that's been
00:03:25
Speaker
the most frequented. Anyway, and there was a bit of a family reunion there. They hoped that Sebastian would have some more information about the whereabouts and the king and queen of Sleetgard after they had been shipped off by the Obciskra and by Delmont to trace the head of the Obciskra to an unknown lands, maybe to the Heral Empire. We now know that Sebastian was the person that was seen jumping off the boat that was leaving the port and Cassandra from the lodge had told the truth in that much to Kastan's consternation.

Karstan's Mysterious Encounter with Ogremoth

00:03:52
Speaker
What my consternation
00:03:54
Speaker
Sorry, it just worked with that. Claude's consternation. I wanted to use consternation and I just forgot. And we pick up with the group returning to the main base of action, so to speak. Shit, I forgot the name of the pub. There's so many names.
00:04:15
Speaker
Half hoof in, half hoof in, half hoof in. Oh, of course, yep. The half hoof in. But before we are going to pick up with our adventures with them, we're going to revert back in time a little bit, do a bit of a Hamilton, rewind, rewind, and we're going to go back a little bit deep underground, deep in the events that took place with Karstan. Can I ask that everyone takes the headphones off except for William?
00:04:45
Speaker
The last thing Karsten you remember is standing in front of this horrifically disgusting demon. This white light emanates out and this speed, this heart racing need to leave dawns on you. And your face drops, your arm drops, your sense of
00:05:15
Speaker
uh honor drops and you just make for the door you make for the door in the quickest way you can and despite having you did have two opportunities to beat this wisdom saving throat you failed them
00:05:29
Speaker
and ended up at the door of this kind of testing ground, this area. But if you remember, these doors were just kind of a single slate gray piece of stone that only really should be activated by those that know what they're doing. Without telling Hellfire there to lead you through, you push through into an unknown place.
00:05:54
Speaker
You press yourself to the space where the portal once was, and for a moment it resists like a concrete slab would, your heart pounding in your chest, sweat dripping from your head as you keep looking behind you, checking to see if this creature's following you. But soon it begins to coalesce and give way. Your body sinks through, and for a moment, all you can hear is your heartbeat pounding in your ears. You don't see the familiar shock of light and the aurora of light and the rush of excitement that you previously felt,
00:06:24
Speaker
When passing through this portal, this space, you feel a deadened silence hang, and a cold feeling creeps through you. In an instant, you're thrust forward into a world you have seen before. One that you remember from your time in Blackmouth, fighting the necromancer Eraqas. The world is silent.
00:06:49
Speaker
You are pushed through a dilapidated oak-paneled door into the swirling mass of red sky and clouds, jet-black ocean undulating like thick tar. You stand atop a tower jutting out of the water, looking over this unknown but known land. As you look back at the door, it slams shut and you hear a number of clicks. Is there anything you'd like to do, Karsten?
00:07:23
Speaker
What would Castan do? His clicks, where are they coming from? The clicks are coming from the door once it has shut. Okay, I cast Fireball. Okay, what on the door? Whatever's coming from behind me, he will literally just cast it over his shoulder.
00:07:44
Speaker
So just to give you context, you've come through the door, you've turned around, the door's shut, and basically the door has clicked. That's what it's clicking. Sorry, I thought my back was to, sorry, got my back worth to it, so I couldn't see. So, Carstan sort of staggers almost backwards from the door, almost scrabbling. Is he still on top of the tower from before? Yes, you're on top of the tower. So he sort of scrabbles and almost, almost,
00:08:15
Speaker
trips over his feet and then stumbles backwards and does that sort of like half you know like crab like scramble on your hands and your feet sort of scrambling away from the door towards sort of the edge of the tower. The tower is at a slight angle and so you do kind of slip closer towards the edge quicker than you expect your arms buckling as the back of your head hits one of the parapets sticking up and you are still
00:08:42
Speaker
facing back towards the store, the terror that you've previously felt that was forced upon you through this creature has faded, but obviously these new feelings of your current locale have kind of arisen in its place. Yeah. Carson's still very, very afraid. He looks about him and his heart is hammering inside his chest, his...
00:09:12
Speaker
It's almost like a wild animal desperately seeking somewhere to go and he's going to look over the edge of the tower. Do you want to know what you can see? Yeah.
00:09:24
Speaker
So below you, this tower seems to have, it's almost like Atlanta style so that you assume there must be something underneath it or was once something underneath it at some point. And as you look below, you can't see the ground or where the tower is sat. You can just see this undulating tarry thick ocean kind of slopping around the brickwork at the base of it. This tower doesn't also look of anything sleep guardian. This doesn't look like any kind of,
00:09:53
Speaker
architecture you've previously seen before.

Reuniting and Discussing the Blight

00:09:55
Speaker
There's no obvious symbols or signs which might give way to historical locale or time. It just reeks of age and decay, but there's nothing to really show it. It's relatively clean.
00:10:14
Speaker
There's no, as you look down, no smaller windows below you, kind of portholes, perhaps, it's just continual slate, gray brick all the way down until it hits the black mass of water below, slopping below. Is the door still at the top of the tower? Yes, the door is still at the top of the tower. Oh, okay. I'm cast, I'm still very scared and also is back in this place that wasn't very nice, and I thought, okay, I'm gonna jump from the tower. Down? Yeah.
00:10:45
Speaker
Okay, you take a deep breath and dive off. Are you going legs first, head first? What's your plan of attack? I think it's more like panic and like he's got nowhere to go. So he sort of throws himself off, so probably like feet first. Okay.
00:11:06
Speaker
dive dive it's about 30-35 feet all the way down and as you head off and you kind of brace yourself to go through and hit some you know through this liquid into the water to see what else you can find you realize as you slop down into it it only sits about waist deep and so your feet are on something solid beneath you about your waist okay can I
00:11:32
Speaker
Is the water clear, or is it cannot see what I'm starting to want? It's literally like, I'm imagining it like a kind of black treacle, like thick, thick, thick tar. Okay, so Karsten sort of pulls out his rapier, and he's going to use his rapier's sort of probe ahead of him, and... Maybe his natural curiosity will kick in now, let's have a look.
00:12:01
Speaker
So I'm making myself take wisdom saving codes at the moment. That's right. It was a DC-16. Okay, thank you. Just also the fact that he's in this place that he doesn't like. Is there anything else? Is it literally just this tower on its own? If he looks around, so he's thinking he's just going to scan around and see if there's anything else he can see other than the tower. As you scan around, could you give me a perception check, please? Yeah.
00:12:29
Speaker
Oh wow, even rolling twice at this amount. So it's a 26. Nice. So as you scan around, fervently looking around, just for something, anything else with your back to this tower, far off in the distance, you can see a small something, a blob, a figure, something.
00:12:50
Speaker
off in the distance sat or stood or something on top of the liquid, the floating or something like that on top of it. It looks quite small, but again, we're talking way, way off in the distance. Okay. Uh, he's going to sort of, this is sort of going to engage his sort of curious mind there. It's almost like he's, he's occupying his mind with this now. So it sort of pushes his, his fear of where he is. He's going to use his sword. He's going to probe the floor, the ground ahead of him.
00:13:19
Speaker
He's going to walk around the tower and assuming he doesn't, he's going to sort of get his bearings and look behind him at the stonework and work out where he is in relation to the tower. And then he's going to walk around and assuming he doesn't find an entrance to the tower, he's going to go back to where he started and look back out again and see if this blob's moved, if it's something sort of on the water or if it's stage stationary.
00:13:42
Speaker
Okay, as you traverse yourself around the tower, yep, you can find no entrance, even as you rapier in under the level of the water to see if there's any gaps, there's nothing you can really see here. Looking up now, it seems, you wouldn't be able to traverse it particularly. As you come back around and look back out, the object is still there, it hasn't moved. It still seems to be on top, it hasn't moved much. But then again, as you move around, you notice there's not much of a current to move it around at your current location.
00:14:11
Speaker
Okay, I'm going to walk towards the blob. Okay. Sort of probing. Yeah, probing as I go, sort of. And perhaps if, yeah, so probing as he goes and sort of not rushing, but yeah, it's going to walk towards the blob. Okay. You seem to walk for an age. This blob for a while never seems to get any closer, but eventually,
00:14:40
Speaker
it starts to come into form slightly more. And it looks like a bird of some description, like something floating on the surface, like you'd expect to see a seagull in the ports of sleep guard floating on the surface of the water. It seems something small like that. As you get closer and closer, you realize it's not just any ordinary bird. And suddenly, you see these two topaz-colored
00:15:05
Speaker
Beams of light come from its kind of head location and suddenly it disappears and like a red flash of light disappears, then appears closer and closer and closer and closer until suddenly it's right there next to your face. And what's suddenly floating on the surface just in front of you is a chicken. This chicken has glowing green eyes and a small pointed hat
00:15:35
Speaker
On its back, tied on with a piece of string, are a number of wands. And it just floats there, looking directly at you. How many wands are on its back? There are two wands on its back. What do they look like? Is there any discernible difference between either wands? The wands themselves look quite similar, but the design of which is something you've never seen before.
00:16:05
Speaker
Okay. It floats there. They're utterly identical. Yes. Do I recognise the material they're made of? It looks like a really, really pale, almost white wood. Aside from that, nothing else. And if I reach out towards them but don't touch them yet, does the chicken do anything?
00:16:29
Speaker
Well, let's see what happens. So as you reach out to try and grab it, yes, it turns its head, and then it kind of pecks at you with its beak for a second, making your arm recoil. And suddenly the chicken's mouth opens, and it begins to speak. Greg got him and hello to you, good sir. Make a good of the words of common, or must this form regale a tongue most foul?
00:16:57
Speaker
I speak many languages, common, and then he's going to switch to Draconic and say the language of the dragon, and then he's going to switch to Sylvan and go all the language of the fae. Shoram Bhutamao, your language is impressive, human. Wish you to converse? Yes, you're the first
00:17:28
Speaker
person or thing I've seen in this place, wherever it is. Let's go to the tower. Will you come? I've just come from the tower. I don't really want to go back unless I absolutely have to. Then float we shall. What do I call you?
00:17:53
Speaker
Hmm, Grestol, Barnham, namings are mostly forgotten from time and space. Name from my motherings has lost. Oh, Grimor, a sticking name, what art thou named? I'm Castan. Castan Finbin Valhorns.
00:18:15
Speaker
Sure in, Buddha Mao, I am apologies for you stucking here many more times. Comest thou from mortal plains of Edith? Smells remembrance from years yonder, the goldest view was my abode. You're from Goldview? Aye. Yes, I'm from... I believe what you would call the material plane or...
00:18:43
Speaker
Yes, plain material. Your smell and look remembrance of such a place, though years many have passed since time been there. Were you born on the material plain or...?
00:18:59
Speaker
Did you start somewhere else and travelled there and then travelled here? Yes, sir, Keller, I am a wizarding man, stuck in the morphed pulley in this great appendage of food and comedy. My wanders are of yuch, and my hat did change. Divine learnings were the study of this one, and foresightings and foreshadowings haunt.
00:19:26
Speaker
Many powerful was this one, greatest them in all regardings. So you will ascribe the future? Of what can and what might, and what has and what will. How did you get stuck here then?
00:20:09
Speaker
Yes, I was, I was, a spell was cast on me
00:20:14
Speaker
That trapped me here. What plane is this? Demi plane most foul, but most boring. From my travels, plainest travel. Many usefulings have I seen, ethereal, demi, and more. But this one, built by a god. Which god? Knowings not from me, not me might know, but boring.
00:20:42
Speaker
You must leave here, that thou took him out. You are favorable to this, O grimoth, and takeest thou this. And he's gonna turn or float around a little bit and kind of hoof his tail towards you. And around his tail is almost some spare pieces of string. And he kind of, the tail kind of moves a little bit in your direction.
00:21:03
Speaker
I'm going to take the offered string. Are you saying that you were here waiting for me?
00:21:34
Speaker
One not wait when time is immaterial. Come when thou art here. Yes, wait. O grimoth, no wait.

Debating Ogremoth's Message and Sacrifice

00:21:45
Speaker
So you knew I was going to be here, so you turned up at the right time to meet me. You are right. You are right, Gaston of the Demiplane. Have you... Do you know the future of Eryth?
00:22:03
Speaker
life follows death but death is needed to once again bring life me here changing course adjustment you are blight fighter yes yes i'm i'm of those who are trying to stop the blight yes that upon your back what is that
00:22:28
Speaker
And he's gesturing towards your kind of bag of instruments or however you kind of hold your instruments. Yeah, they're sort of in a sort of a satchel kind of thing. And then obviously like sort of strung together. These are my instruments, my trade. What? Let out into now instrument you're most proficient upon. I play lots.
00:22:55
Speaker
play the pan flute the the lute the the flute i mean i'm quite partial to the bagpipes but nobody really lets me play them bagpipes bagpipes and it kind of like cackles like you would at cuckoo in the morning almost a little bit gosh that elf demi-plane blight fighter and pipe of bag life follows death but death needed to once again bring life
00:23:26
Speaker
The figure turns directly to you, kind of eyes to eye here, almost like comically too close to you if you haven't moved back. Mortal life is needed in the closing. Piercing of text will take soul to close. Body and mind gone. I know I saw it in a vision. When I, one of our party, Helena, she
00:23:54
Speaker
She saw, and I saw when I went into her mind, her stabbing the book, and I saw what happened to her, and I realised then that closing the bite will need a sacrifice. Ah, many helpings make latao, many come. Good, good. The deities, God, seem your presence and help.
00:24:19
Speaker
Rest them, has them, but by telling you this, and you knowing this, sight is changing, time jointed out by spreading up the word. Short is time, yet infinite, again, metaphor. Because by observing something, we've already changed it.
00:24:42
Speaker
Hmmm, Esther Keller, you are a smart one. Gah, stand up there, demi-plane, blight fighter and bag of pipe. So, I mean, it's not like I already knew that a life would be needed, but I suppose part of me didn't want to understand, but I suppose what you're saying is that I shouldn't ask anymore because by knowing I may try and change something that
00:25:10
Speaker
has a bigger danger to others. Restom has them by asking. One may ask by telling time might change. Restom, you know the body is needed for the sacrifice, but the soul is also taken. Yes.
00:25:33
Speaker
I know that no matter what we do, both soul and body have to go. You can't be brought back from it.
00:25:49
Speaker
Are you saying that it should be someone else that stabs the book? It's not Helena. It's Anaspanam. The stabbing make no difference to me. Blight must end. Much to come after one chapter of a larger book. So you're saying that it doesn't matter who stabs the book as long as it happens, just that whoever it is
00:26:18
Speaker
is ended no matter what. So by what, are you telling me that I shouldn't share this knowledge because by doing so others will try and stop it from happening and therefore we won't stop the blind?
00:26:45
Speaker
Soar and put them out by me telling you it. Time is out of joint. The shift has taken place and so one can continue. Tell your friends this will alter time itself, but one might as well try. Don't thou agree? Yes, but isn't... if we try and change something based on
00:27:14
Speaker
Knowing future events, won't we change the nature of that event and we could do more harm by trying to stop what we know will happen? And so is the obligation of foresight.
00:27:33
Speaker
Senes pan am, you must make a decision, carton of the demi-plane, blight fighter, and pipe of bag. Till in tolyn makest thou return? Want backnest to the plane of the living? How did you learn to travel? Have you traveled to other planes?
00:27:54
Speaker
The master many a plane has all gone more visited in his time at the hour. Yes. I suppose the longer I'm here the longer I'm away from my friends though. I have run away from them. I don't know whether whether I deserve to bid them anymore.
00:28:16
Speaker
Sometimes, make run, it's better for long term. Make stay, death is so permanent. I suppose if I hadn't run, then I wouldn't have met you, and I wouldn't then know what I know now. You, Mr. Mr. Must-Knowgaston, for with your words you can convince.
00:28:42
Speaker
Whom else from your group would believe a talking chicken, hmm? That sounded a bit like Yoda, forget that last bit. Forget that last bit, ignore that. I've told him any words you see, I have seen Star Wars. No, yes, it's a short answer. I know one who would believe in talking chickens.
00:29:05
Speaker
He does believe in some of the most fantastical things. Then maybe he could be the first to speak to regarding my appendix and my information. Yes, that's probably best. Dost thou wish to go home, ghastan of the demiplane, the light fighter and pipe of the bag? I do.
00:29:32
Speaker
Can you tell me this, though? Is there a chance it was ever meeting again? Certainly. But as I say, as semester time is out of joint, I might say yes and no happen. I might know and say yes happen. And it might be that this isn't the first time we've met because you've met me before this, but I'm going to meet you after this.

Karstan's Return and the Chicken Wizard's Riddles

00:30:03
Speaker
The chicken ruffles its feathers at this point. This, or that I am imagination. Many possible goings. I'd like to go back. A shift through the planages of space and time with me. The makers now a place to go. Once you came or places else? There are lots of places I'd rather be than where I was before.
00:30:34
Speaker
Anywhere, restom, restom, and it is a small plane to pass around. Name your location. Take me back to the half hoof in. I can try and find the others from there.
00:30:52
Speaker
The chicken nods at this and turns, ruffles its feathers, preens them down, and then gets really close to you, really, really close to your face as it kind of stretches up to be in line with your face, and then leans back the head and tries to headbutt you lightly on the side of the cheek a little bit. And then does it again. Ow.
00:31:19
Speaker
Dennis Panam, a comprehension for your mind in this troubles, Gaston. Conscious mind will falter to madness. I knock you out, yes? Oh, you're saying that by witnessing us travelling the planes, it will make me crazy.
00:31:42
Speaker
What if I just close my eyes? No, a combined conscious mind. The senses are multiplicity. I can facilitate if you will allow me.
00:31:59
Speaker
Very well, here we go. And the chicken reaches its beak back and grabs one of the wands, flicks it up in a strange, iconic shape, causing a rune-like symbol to appear in the air. You hear a rumble from behind you, and as you turn your head at the last minute, you see a brick from the very top of the tower, just a small one, probably about the size of a regular kind of mortar brick you see in our mortal plane in the real world, and start zooming towards you.
00:32:24
Speaker
You're quite far away, so you can see it coming from quite some distance. You can make a deck save to move out of its way if you want to, Karsten. He's going to roll with it.
00:32:34
Speaker
Okay. This brick comes closer, closer, closer. I imagine you close your eyes maybe at the last minute and suddenly you just, you, you feel just pain, a steering pain in your forehead, a bright white light. And then you feel the splooch as your body hits down in the water and as your body slowly sinks down, down, down, as you
00:32:54
Speaker
come to your senses and open your eyes you're still down you're still lying face down in something thick something tarry that surrounds you and as your eyes start to open you can hear the sound of rain and as you look you find yourself pushing yourself out of mud and as you look up to your right you can see the door to the half hoof in sat in front of you
00:33:17
Speaker
We're gonna pick up with our rest of our comrades as they make their way towards the half hoof inn. If I remember correctly, Sebastian and Helena were at the back with everyone else kind of nearer, well, kind of the front moving through the city. It's quite late at night at this point, and we're gonna start off with the kind of main group, just ahead of Sebastian and Helena to begin with, as they are kind of catching up with the rest of the group. So that is pretty much everyone, Drago, Robin, Claude, Folly,
00:33:47
Speaker
in a little group or kind of walking towards their direction of the half-hoof in. Is there anything you guys want to talk about? It's just starting to pitter-patter with rain as you start to leave the half-hoof at the Double Ork pub, by the way. Drago would look up to the sky as it starts to rain because for him it feels like an age since he's felt any sort of weather on him and
00:34:12
Speaker
It's just, you see him close his eyes and there's almost a moment of just taking it in and just hearing and feeling the rain against his skin. And he'll just be, I am looking forward to getting a drink. It's been a hot second. Well, you know, I can't wait to hear all about it at a more convenient time for you.
00:34:38
Speaker
Yeah, I need to process a lot of things. I haven't had a chance much. I could do with some information from you all as well. I'm trying my best to keep up with what's going on and where we are. Oh, that reminds me. I haven't given you the introduction. Drago, this is my home. This lovely scholar of a capital city is where I grew up. It's where I grew old.
00:35:08
Speaker
or where I was before I died and now I'm back again. Welcome. I've already shown the gang a few stops, but don't worry, there's plenty to see. I understand time is of... I was gonna say, maybe we can pick that up after. Yeah, maybe when all said and done, you can come stay with me in my holiday home somewhere here and I'll give you a real talk. Have a good knees up and knees out, you know?
00:35:34
Speaker
I'll tell you what, Claude. That sounds like a good idea. We make it out of this. Okay. It's a deal. Wonderful. Um, I've got a list as long as my arm. But let's start getting you a drink. Yes. Oh, I don't know if you know this, but totally got a pub while you were gone.
00:35:57
Speaker
I believe I was here the last time. I know that Tylee's got her name on the deeds to a pub. This pub, in fact. I assume we're walking on close to the half hoof. You're still probably about five or six minutes away from it, so there's a bit of, yeah. Probably that pub in the distance there, really far. Yeah.
00:36:17
Speaker
But now I'm aware that she owns a pub. We should keep Folly away from it. Any other surprises like that? Did any of you inherit any places here? Robin, did you get any property when you walked into the city? No. Oddly enough, I didn't, Claude. Guess not then. Did you get anywhere with the other task, Robin?
00:36:44
Speaker
the main reason why we're here, just out of curiosity. Did I get anywhere with it? We have something to go off, a source perhaps for the morning, but... Yeah, that's how they're done, just thinking if our
00:37:02
Speaker
leave must be soon then i wouldn't want our journey here to be wasted as long as we have a destination or something to go off of then we do need to make the most of the next 24 hours that much is true we still got 24 hours i feel like we're we've chewed into that somewhat it's only been a few minutes actually since we decided that we've got a 24 hour window
00:37:23
Speaker
I understand for you at the moment, time must be a very difficult thing to do. I am very confused over time, yes. Yeah, so some of us have got to go look for a thing or Brubman's found. I'm leading the search party for Castan Fingbin Valland. Vall... whatever it was, I'm gonna find him. Well, I will help you, obviously. I thought I said that before. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We're just doing a recap since, you know, your short-term memory of three minutes ago seems to be a bit tricky.
00:37:53
Speaker
And just behind that, Sebastian and Helena are walking close behind. Helena, is there anything you want to talk to Sebastian about on the walk over whilst this conversation's taking place, or are you just keen to catch up with the rest of the gang? No, I'd say so. How have you been, brother?
00:38:12
Speaker
Oh, just fucking drunk most of the time if I'm being perfectly candid. I've seen a couple of cats here, not actual cats, you know, I'm trying to pick up the lingo of the local folk, you know, so I've never found a couple of cats, you know, couple of peeps, couple of people, having a great time. But yeah, you know, hating life mainly wanting mommy and daddy home, you know, messing family, Lucy's still a bastard, you know, the usual
00:38:37
Speaker
No, but you know, you hear rumours through the city of the wanderer that is now Lucian Blight Bain, too good to keep the fucking family name, and one starts to hold a resentment, especially as a younger brother, I'm sure you'd know all about that. Well, no, you know how I look up to Lucian. Yeah, exactly. But now, apart from that hunky-dory, how about you? May I ask how you came to befriends such a
00:39:07
Speaker
Interesting group of folk.
00:39:10
Speaker
Well, actually, it started a while back, a couple of months ago. Felstrop and I were wondering somewhere, I forget where now, it's been a journey, and we met Karstan, who instantly isn't with us at the moment, not that he's passed, we haven't seen him. That's where the party might go to find him soon. We obviously have bigger
00:39:41
Speaker
bigger things to deal with. Bigger than finding a friend. That sounds a little harsh. Well, Costan left. I don't know where he left too, but he left. He was a coward at a time when we needed him most. And that disappointed me. Sounds like a nice guy. Sounds like the type of folk I'd get on with him and being perfectly honest. Run away from danger. Sounds fucking brilliant to me. That's what I do. You're the mental one staying and fighting, you know,
00:40:10
Speaker
Blight and shit, am I the only same one in this family? No, I'm joking, Helena. I thought you were wanting to join us. If you've changed your mind Seb, then you may as well go the other way. No, sis, I'm just, you know, it's just, it's just, I'm just, you know, okay, I'm sorry. I'm just trying to, you know, find a sense of normality in all this. Have a bit of fun, but you're right. I'm sorry. I'm sorry you've lost your friend that he's a coward, whatever, but... Well, I'm sure he's going to turn up somewhere, you know, I know that
00:40:41
Speaker
Goldview's a big place, but I'm sure he's around. But he can't have run far. Yes, he won't have gone far, I'm sure. He likes company too much to be

00:40:51
Speaker
alone. Definitely sounds like I like this bloke. Sounds fantastic. Yes, you talk as much. Well, thank you. One of us has to. Miss Broody over there and all your clankety armour, having great fucking time. Sometimes it's to listen, you know, observe the situation before you blunder in. You sound like daddy.
00:41:13
Speaker
Well, I hope so. Yeah, I was supposed to... What would you say to him if you die in all of this chaos? Well, why is everyone dying all of a sudden? Have a sense of... Well, you don't know how this is going. The blight's taking over, Seb. I know. But we have to do something. We can be fuck all left by the time we get there. That's why I'm hoping that you'll be a benefit to us. Yes, yes, I'll help where I can, but...
00:41:41
Speaker
I'm not good for much. I'm good with the dagger though, I'm bloody good at cutting bread, I'll tell you that for free. Or cheese if you want me to, either or. Bread and cheese, that's my game. Right, well then I'll get you on the sandwich making.
00:41:56
Speaker
See, you are funny. Where's that old Helena? We've just got the fighty fighty. Look at your fancy flails and he like bonks your flail a little bit. Ow, fuck, they're sharp. And she giggles a little bit and gives him a bit of a push that's probably harder than he expects. He falls over in the mud. It's now properly raining at this point and he literally topples over. What the fuck? Fuck, sorry, sorry, get up. Jesus fuck.
00:42:20
Speaker
All right, fine. He goes to push you back and misses a little bit. And he just, he squeaks off the armor a little bit and yeah, whatever. And he's going to, right. I'm going to go talk to your friends. I'm going to go make some, make some friends and enemies at the same time.
00:42:32
Speaker
He's gonna pick up ahead. And as the kind of group coalesces together and you start to make your way through the intricate alleyways, there are a couple of torches lit upon your way, but now we're in the dead of night now, we're talking. But again, normally there's some life in the city at this time. The presence of the Christmas seems to have squashed a lot of the nightlife that would normally take place out on the streets and around and about. You take one final corner and directly in front of you, you see the half hoof in stood on your right.
00:43:01
Speaker
And there's a slight square, as you remember, and still the charring remains of some crates that not only a day ago, Kennard lit on fire as a distraction to get you in. As you start to approach, there is a single torch lit outside the half hoof in this time, and directly in front of the door is what looks like a corpse lying face down in the mud in front of you. You're probably about 50 feet away at this point when you see this, literally face down in the mud. Do it or rush over and have a look.
00:43:30
Speaker
Okay, what kind of thing are you doing? I'm just going to run straight over and check this person's in line. Okay, so we're taking a pulse or something like that? Yeah.
00:43:40
Speaker
Yeah, you feel in the back of the neck, you can feel it's warm and you can feel life. You can see the body kind of moving, you can feel a pulse. Okay, then can I roll the person over? You roll the person over and you see, you hear first of all, as he leans on a bagpipe. And as you turn over, you see, as you pull back and pull out the mud and squelch it away from the face, you see the prim, pointed, pale face
00:44:05
Speaker
of your friend Karstan as his eyes kind of flatter to open, he mutters something quietly and then his eyes shut again. Does he look injured? Give me an investigation check. Investigation or medicine? Are you looking for it or are you trying to cure it? I'm looking to see if he's injured. Okay, medicine then. 28. There are no signs of injury whatsoever. Okay, then I will just
00:44:35
Speaker
Try and wake him up. If I slap him in the lobby around the face, scooping up some water, splashing him. Hey, slap him again, Claude. A little bit harder this time. Oh, you might hurt him. Castan. I might be able to help. Okay. Okay. Drago gingerly walks over to Castan.
00:44:59
Speaker
And almost as if you're trying to start a campfire and you've got a twig in between your hands, you start robbing that twig. He's doing that with his hands as he's walking over. And he's going to lay both hands on the chest of Karstan.
00:45:18
Speaker
and there's going to be a flash of light as a pool of healing power restores 5 HP on him. And Draka has closed his eyes and if you could see Draka's expression here, it's like he's trying to
00:45:38
Speaker
commune with someone in his head and this isn't a side of him that you would have ever seen before. The driver seems completely unease with what he's doing. He doesn't seem like he's got this down. It's not a confident move he's doing. It's as if there's something within him that's saying, hey, you can help here.
00:45:58
Speaker
And with that cast down, your eyes bolt open straight away. You hear a slight fuzzing, a buzzing in your ears that fades really quickly as the rain continues to pelt down and take a deep breath in. As you look up and see the face of a dragonborn friend, you see Drago and the others stood around you as you're still kind of laying there in the mud in the rain outside the half hoof in. Well, I'll be damned. This thing works. As Drago is looking at his hands,
00:46:27
Speaker
Castan suddenly wakes up, grabs Drago's hands, and then says, did we make it Chicken Wizard? Chicken Wizard? And then his hand sort of touches Drago's muzzle and goes,
00:46:54
Speaker
Hello, Dripper. I mean, Drago. I'm not comfortable with the touching. I know I just touched you, but this isn't a two-way thing. This is a one-way street, and I'm regretting it. As Drago's standing back up. But he will hold out a hand as he straightens up. And Karsten will take the hand and go, thank you for your magic touch. I don't know if it's mine.
00:47:18
Speaker
And then Drago's brow furrows again as if he gets confused over what's just happened. But he does pull you up. Thank you for whoever you borrowed it from. Sure. Are you okay? Yeah. Yeah.
00:47:37
Speaker
Yeah, got a lot to think about. Well, we're outside of a pub. Oh, good. I dare say we could all do with a drink. So. Yeah. The Chicken Wizard said you'd get me here. So yeah, that's good. Chicken Wizard you said twice. There's a Chicken Wizard. I mean, yeah, sure. Let's get a drink.
00:47:58
Speaker
Yeah, fine. Sounds good. Drago. Holds the door open for everyone. There you go. There's a different thing. Look at that. Look at that. He's so confused. So confused. Folly is also going to be confused as he walks past you and he's like, yeah. As you start to all make your way in, passing Drago on your way in, again, giving him strange looks as you walk in. Sebastian, Helena being the last one to enter in. What you enter into is an empty pub.
00:48:27
Speaker
It's empty, save for, do I put them both here? Yeah, why not? Two people, one sat on the bar, you know, to be your old-time friend, Tali, who came through into Aerith with you, and also that of Kennard, who is kind of mopping down the floor nearby. All the candles are lit, the fire is also lit. Talia sat on the, kind of the,
00:48:49
Speaker
main bar with her legs hanging down as she starts to thumb through her, what you can assume is a book of some description, as you enter she looks up and smiles as you all walk in. So, success? Yeah, without cost and... Oh great! Why are you covered in mud? Yeah, why are you covered in mud now? Why are you covered in mud? Because I was lying in the mud?
00:49:19
Speaker
All right, how about we get some drinks in and Kennard's going to go on the back and start pouring out, just drink, drink, drink, drink, just kind of pint, pint, pint, pint, pint of drinks and popping them all on the table for everyone. Most of the tables are still kind of dotted around. After kicking, everyone actually done some table rearranging, some feng shui to make the place work better. The place just feels slightly nicer as well. All these oak panels, dark wood, but it still feels slightly more spacious now. The tables are all still separated.
00:49:48
Speaker
She takes a drink and pops herself down next to Kandar and they start talking to themselves and kind of looking over to the rest of the group. It's up to you guys. What do you want to do? Where do you want to sit? I'm just wondering if Drago could hear. Well, if Ian can hear what those two are talking about and how that conversation would go between two NPCs. Could you give me a perception check to see if Drago can fucking hear it?

Group Discussions and Strategizing

00:50:09
Speaker
Drago wouldn't give a shit, so no.
00:50:12
Speaker
I can read lips, so could you tell me what that conversation is being said, please? Yeah, sure. You are so mean to our DM. You got this, you got this. So just explain to me, what was it you wanted to do again? Yeah, so basically, oh shit, what I was thinking was, oh shit, I've lost both of these, it's so hard to jump between. Right, let me start again, let me start again.
00:50:41
Speaker
So what I was thinking really was, if you get some nice carpet, lay it down here. It might really spruce the place up. Yeah, I know we talked about that though. Lots of these places have that. You want to be different, don't you? I know. Yeah, that's a good point, but still, I think there's something else to get at this that we could, you know, the plinths, the fire could move. I know I'm trying to talk about that. At this point, fast down, we'll turn to the others and go. Carly's talking about her rug and Kennard doesn't like her plans with it.
00:51:08
Speaker
Roll with the rug. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Can I just say that was very good. Very good. What a mark. What a take-about. The accent's just interchangeable. Much like the one shot. You can almost argue that the characters, because they've been talking for so long, that actually they've actually started swapping each other's accents. They're such good friends. They've known each other all of, you know, a couple of days.
00:51:37
Speaker
Yeah, so they're talking. They've got a couple of drinks. Basically, they're just kind of giving way to you guys to kind of unwind a little bit. They want to talk to you, but they're just kind of sitting out the way, making small talk as you guys settle into the place. Sebastian's going to walk straight up. Pick up a pint. Pintorama. Turn around. He's going to put sit down, legs up on a table, leaning back on the chair and just starts drinking, drinking, drinking the pint. Puts it down and just starts looking at everyone and points to Folly.
00:52:04
Speaker
Chat? I'm unsure. What would you like to chat about? Well, your name could so be a good start, might it not? My name, Folly Fizzlebang the Ninth. Nine of you, wow. That's a lot. Nine in my ancestry, yes. Ah, what's in the bag? Well, a lot of things.
00:52:29
Speaker
It's rather difficult to explain. How familiar are you with magical art? Very, very familiar. So, have you ever heard of a particular kind of bag that can store more than what you might think it could store? Yes. Well, that's basically what my rucksack is.
00:52:49
Speaker
A big bag. A rather large bag. Gotcha. For lots of various bits and pieces that have clicked it over my adventures. What if I got in the bag? I wouldn't advise it. I might not be able to get you back out. By all means you can try. And Folly is actually going to cast Mage Hand and just open the bag. Sebastian's going to pick his head up. Nah.
00:53:18
Speaker
I'm fine, puts the glass down. I'm gonna go get another drink. Can I get you one? Whiskey, please. Whiskey, fuck me, okay. And he's gonna wander off and go get you a drink to give way to the actual characters and not the NPCs. Helena is going to get the drink. She's gonna look at it, swirl it around in her pint glass, because this will be a big pint for her. She's gonna take a couple of big gulps and then she's gonna turn to cast down.
00:53:48
Speaker
and say, where did you go? I, and Carson's going to have, has Hélène stayed stood up? Yeah, she's at the bar.
00:54:02
Speaker
Kasdan would have sort of just sat down at a table. So would you? Sorry. Yeah, I would have then stood at the bar for a little bit, waited for the sort of chaos or energies to sort of die down a little for people to see where they're settled. And then she'd make her way over to the table with Kasdan. And she won't be sitting down. No. She'd be standing up.
00:54:27
Speaker
And just as a point, just going to jump in, I assume because of how small this bar is, any time anyone says anything, unless it really is deliberately low in tone, we can all hear it. Is that correct? Because they're so empty, really. You're the only people there. If everyone was talking and Karsten was playing some music, probably not. But because it's so dead and so quiet, yeah, pretty much. Unless you're purposefully hushing.
00:54:52
Speaker
Yeah, I was just reading the room. The only thing you can really hear aside from the conversation, the shuffling of feet is the crackling of the fire that's still roaring in the middle. Tally's kept it going for your return. So. Did you want to say anything else? No, Helen is going to be quite short. And yeah, after she's walked over to you, she'll sort of she'll put her drink down on the table after having those gulps.
00:55:21
Speaker
and just say to you, where did you go? So Karsten will sort of be sat sort of his hands in his lap and he won't look up at you. He'll sort of look and maybe look at your glass rather than looking at you and he'll sort of look to look like he's about to say something and then stop and then and then eventually I'm sorry that
00:55:51
Speaker
couldn't stay. I'm not as, I'm not as experienced as the rest of you are at seeing and sort of fighting what we faced. That's never stopped you before, Castan? No, but something, I don't know, with just everything that's going on and
00:56:17
Speaker
I don't know, maybe it's all just taken a bit of a while to sink in but... I'm sorry, you sort of, you know, begged me to take you on in the group and for us all to keep you safe and we made our promise and you lost yours. I lost everything that it was to be me. For a minute, I don't know who was...
00:56:46
Speaker
running, but maybe it was me, the part of me that's deep inside, but I ended up in a place, a place I've been to before when we fought the necromancer in the mine. At this point, Helena's going to just take a seat quite slowly. When the lunatic cast me from wherever, I was back on
00:57:16
Speaker
this very lonely tower all alone again. Who put you there? I don't know the magic or because I tried to leave through the door. I don't know. It was like I knew that I should stay but what was... I was just so afraid.
00:57:41
Speaker
So you left and then you were transported to another plane or the plane was there and you ran into it? Or you transported before you left? I'm a bit confused. I tried to leave. I tried to leave you all and I abandoned you. And then the doorway took me to that place. I don't know how, I don't know why.
00:58:09
Speaker
I think the odds of me being sent to this place twice is probably quite a lot.
00:58:25
Speaker
you probably were put under some sort of trance. The very same thing happened to me during that battle, and sheer anger and rage broke me out of it. But if I hadn't of resorted to my rage, I would have gone the same way. So don't be too hard on yourself, and I certainly wouldn't say you abandoned us.
00:58:52
Speaker
And you're, you're here alive now, I'd say that says a lot for the strength of who you are. But I did run away. So I didn't use what was inside of me, I did run away, I did abandon you.
00:59:08
Speaker
But you were charmed. And, and, well, like I said, I don't know much about these things. But if there isn't alternative voice in your mind that was telling you to go, I wouldn't assume straight away that was your own voice that could have been the person who charmed you. No, that's true. No, it was me. It wasn't.
00:59:38
Speaker
It wasn't someone else making me walk, it was someone else. That thing had scared me. I was scared. This tower, Karsten, was it by any chance surrounded by an endless sea? Yes. It was. You're not the only one who's seen it. There's many things that seem to link the world that we're from to the world that
01:00:10
Speaker
you lot call home. I don't believe this tower is a coincidence. It sounds very similar, Drago, to one that we've seen many, many, well, a long time ago, but whatever it is, it's clearly linked to where we are now because
01:00:32
Speaker
Those magical doors, we were told, could have taken you anywhere. Yet it's taken you to a place where some of us, including yourself, had been before. And when it returned you, it returned you to outside the half hoof inn. That's because Ogremoth brought me back. What's a demiplane and what's an Ogremoth? A demiplane is like we live on the material plane and there are other layers
01:01:03
Speaker
to this world and a demi-plane, it was made by a god, a god that was bored. That's what Ogremoth said. What's an Ogremoth? I've heard that name. That was the chicken wizard. This tower, this demi-plane that you speak of, I think that clawed and I visited there too. That's where
01:01:33
Speaker
You stabbed the book and with the onyx rebirth. I don't, I don't know it. And you ended the blight. It sounds familiar. It was different to the tower I saw in your mind, if that helped. Was it? Oh yeah, I forgot that you were there too. But no, I, Ogremoth, he said he was a wizard. He was a plane walker. He, he was waiting for me there.
01:02:00
Speaker
He said that he could see the past and see the future and that, well, no, he hadn't been waiting for me. He had turned up to meet me there. What did he want? He said that he called me Blight Fighter. He called us all Blight Fighters. He said that we were fighting the Blight. He said that life followed death but death was needed for life and
01:02:30
Speaker
He said that the book has to be stabbed by the Onyx Reaver to end the blights. Will that be no? Was he really a chicken? He said he was a wizard. I think he'd been changed into the chicken. He was not a good wizard if he's a chicken. But then he brought me here. He cast magic to bring me back to this plane.
01:02:58
Speaker
All I've said is I was a frog once and I consider myself a good cleric so don't hold it against a man for accidentally chickening himself.
01:03:09
Speaker
The word you used to describe him, Castan. Say it again. He's a what? Chicken. Ogremoth. That was his name. No, Ogremoth was his name and not the chicken thing. You said he was famous for doing something. He was a plane walker. A wizard. He said he'd walked different planes.
01:03:32
Speaker
He traveled. He said he came from the place that had a view of gold. He said he once lived here in Goldview. What did he look like? A chicken. He actually was a chicken. Yeah, this is why I was confused. How were you intimidated by a chicken? I wasn't intimidated by a chicken. Did the chicken cast scare on you? Were you scared of the chicken? I was intimidated by the demon in the room, you know, the one with the
01:04:02
Speaker
Do you reckon this chicken materialised because you yourself felt like a chicken and that was what your mind kind of conceived? No, because it looked like a bird first and then it had a pointy hat and it had two wands. What's the allegorical meanings behind the chicken? It said it had been polymorphed. He was waiting for me. I don't know.
01:04:23
Speaker
Right, so what did he look like in inhuman form? I don't know. I only saw him as a chicken. Was it tasty looking? I didn't try and eat him. He did head with me a few times because he said that if I watched us travel from that plane to this plane, it would probably drive me insane. I did offer to close my eyes, but he said that I would still go insane because my senses are still awake. So he knocked me out with a brick.
01:04:50
Speaker
Oh, I mean, you know, a brick is a nice way to go. I have a question for the DM, if I may. You may. I'm sure you have many questions. No, I have a question specifically pertinent to Ogramaw for whatever his name is. Robin is currently just racking his brains back through the day's events and the name is bugging him. The idea of being told about a famous plane shifter is bugging him.
01:05:18
Speaker
He's heard this somewhere before earlier in the day. Am I right in thinking that this name is linked to Fred Bear's discount store? No. If you want, I can tell you where you remember it from because you do remember it was earlier this day.
01:05:35
Speaker
It might be my scratchy notes but I've got a link to him through Fredbear's discount store for Ogramoth Fables. It was the same time yes indeed the book Ogramoth's Fables which you bought for Tali for 10 gold from Tristan's library at the same time that Tristan told you about going to see Fredbear at Fredbear's discount store for more information regarding your question. Sorry yeah scratchy notes trying to get it all down. Okay Robin will immediately then at that point
01:06:04
Speaker
go over to Talia and go, the book we got earlier today, show it to me. What? The day? Oh yeah, of course. She's a bit taken aback by the kind of suddenness of this and she pulls out her father's spell book, puts it to the side and pulls out a similar sized kind of book in terms of its stature, but a bit thinner and kind of holds it out to you. There you go. Why? Robin will point to the name and smile at her before turning to the rest of the group and go,
01:06:34
Speaker
seems this ogremorph is perhaps more prevalent on the material plane than you may give him credit for. He's the author of this book that Talia purchased today and we have a link as to where to perhaps locate him next in our quest for finding the world's away which is the uh for those of you who have lost track is the book we need to
01:06:59
Speaker
stab with the onyx river there's a store in this city there's a store in this city called fredbear's discount store it's where we were told to go by a rather curious book the world's away we were in we were going to find that book yeah that's that's the book that helena has to stab
01:07:28
Speaker
Would the onyx ring on? Or someone has to stab, yes. It's almost certainly not in the city. Myself and Talia discovered that the book is incredibly rare and it's kept in places where it may be difficult to access. But we do have a lead. The person who sold Talia this book by Ogremoth, he told us to check out Fredbear's discount store and inquire about it there. Fredbear's. Fredbear's.
01:07:59
Speaker
Isn't that... Isn't that on the Ashcroft Road? I thought you were doing an advert. Yeah, I could take you there in the morning.
01:08:11

I'd like to think that that was the actual advert. Like if this was set in the time of those radio, it would just be thread bears, thread bears, and then the advert would end. I was trying to portray like that moment when you're saying a word and you're trying to think about where the connection is, but you know. Yeah.
01:08:32
Speaker
Yes, thread bears, thread bears, find us on the Ask Croft Road. Sorry, I'm sorry, cast and voice is naturally musical, I'm sorry. Yes, you both know about it, you both know it's locale. Yeah, I could take you there tomorrow, Karsten.
01:08:49
Speaker
Quick question. Did you catch the name of this other plane that you went to? Only that... No, he didn't give it a name. It was a demi-plane. He said it was made by a god who was bored. A demi-plane made by a god who was bored. Well, I'll do my research. Which I imagine quite happens quite a lot because gods must get quite bored knowing everything. Not my god.
01:09:18
Speaker
I'll do my research, and maybe we can travel there soon. Yeah, I don't know. This, this aquamore did talk about lots of different planes, so maybe it would be quite cool to travel to some different planes. Yeah, I've been working on a certain something. Okay, that sounds like a good adventure. As nice as it sounds to potentially traverse the planes, I think we need to keep a sense of reality of what is currently facing us, which is
01:09:47
Speaker
we need to find a way of closing the blight and freeing up Lucian's armies to come back here and help us reclaim this city. I think that's the nature of what we have to achieve. And Robin will glance at Helena to see if that's in alignment with what she needs. Quick question, Robin. You do know that the armies that my friend, Lucian commands,
01:10:17
Speaker
They can't be used to take over a capital city. Those are armies that are made up of people from all the kingdoms. The hailstorm surge isn't there to, you know, be the personal army of sleepguard. The personal army of sleepguard is there to be the personal army of sleepguard. Cool. And where's that army then, Claude? I don't fucking know, mate! I haven't seen them since I came back to life!
01:10:45
Speaker
Well, in light of what is happening, I think we need to keep in mind the fact that Lucian is still the heir. I don't know how this royalty works. He isn't the heir to the throne, no. In fact, the heir to the throne, well, both of them are sitting in this room, but Lucian absconded his right to the throne as a result of leaving sleep cards. This much happened before, you know, I died.
01:11:13
Speaker
So yeah, he has lost all his rights. So who's the heir? I'm pointing at Helena now. So Sebastian. Yeah, but I'm going to say to Robin quite quietly. I don't like Sebastian. Helena's the heir. Knight, I can hear you. You're whispering really bloody loud. Helena is the princess is the heir of this kingdom.
01:11:41
Speaker
Sorry, did I know this? I hope so. Well, to be honest, Sis, you weren't really in the picture until you were in the picture. It was just going to be me. And to be honest, it sounded fucking awful if I'm being honest. So I was kind of hoping Mum and Dad would hang around and have another pop out another child or something so that I wouldn't have to bloody do it. So, yeah. Would you rather Mum and Dad pop out another child and then have it been put to me? At least I wouldn't be the youngest anymore.
01:12:05
Speaker
assuming. No, no, you're all getting it wrong. No, I meant was that. Listen, just before you came back, you weren't here. And if you weren't here, you can't be queen. Yeah. And so it was left to me. I was anyone still fucking here. You know, Lucian had gone, you'd fucked off joining the fourth. You and you know, fels drop off in your choppity choppity horses off your trot through the country. You know, I'm fucking sat here on my ass waiting for something that bloody happened. I mean, I'm glad you're back for that as well. I is assuming that that that sleep guard
01:12:35
Speaker
upholds to a lineage of allowing females to inherit, which I assume they do because it'd be really backwards if you only had males. Yeah, come on. This is a really forward-thinking medieval fantasy world. Jesus, man. Yes. Good to say it, Castan. Get with it.
01:12:57
Speaker
Yeah, what are you? You're from like the 3rd century? Fuck. I think I have you know that the Heral Empire is quite strict on their own hopes and flaws. Well, we ain't like the Heral Busters in this place. And don't get me started on the Dralak. Oh, I will not because I won't be able to stop talking and Robin will have a massive migraine in the morning. What about the morning?
01:13:24
Speaker
Can I confirm a couple of things? And I apologize if it sounds like I've forgotten a few things. The World's Away book. Yeah. And the Onyx Reaver. Yep.
01:13:42
Speaker
I needed to stop the blight. That's all we need. We need to go to the place in our vision, stab the World's Away with the Onyx Reaver and we can end the blight and I'll be back for tea time. And we captured the Onyx Reaver, did we not? Put it in the bag. Who's bag? Wally's big bag. Cool. And we have a lead on the World's Away's book. Yeah, Robin's got that covered. He went to a library and came back.
01:14:11
Speaker
We need to go to Fredbear's discount store. OK. Good. We need to go to Fredbear's discount store.

Episode Conclusion and Reflections

01:14:18
Speaker
The book is almost certainly not in this city, but we may find a lead there as to where we can find it. Is it definitely there? Well, I don't know. I'm not a soothsayer, Castan. But it's all we've got to go off at the minute. But good news, everybody, is that we started making a list of what to do. Number one was find Castan. We're already halfway through ticking off our list, if I got my maths right.
01:14:41
Speaker
You have, and I do like a good list, so I suppose we can give it a tick. Very efficient that you actually found yourself for us, Car Stanley. Really saving us a lot of time. Can I just intervene? I would really like another pint if that's going. Yes, Charlie. May we please help more? I mean, this news is quite big for me. I wasn't quite sure that I was the heir to the throne. You're the heir apparent.
01:15:08
Speaker
There's no apparently about it. You're older than Sebastian. I mean, Prince Sebastian, don't hit me, sir. I feel like we're gonna just quickly drop into that conversation, but just from my own mind and sake of awareness, the next step to our plan is to go to the Threadbears store. Yes. Yeah, it's a bit of a knick-knack shop. Tell us all sorts of stuff. As you were, sorry for interrupting. That kind, Talith, please.
01:15:38

she smiles, nods and with two hands passes one up to a nice big cold one with a white head on top of it frothing at the top and as she hands that over she moves back behind the table and starts wiping down the desk and just looking around at you all she smiles to herself and just takes takes in the group as they all kind of sit there in her pub
01:16:00
Speaker
And that's where we're going to wait for this week's episode of the Fellowship of the Tabletop until next time where we can catch up. And finally, after so long, the gang's back together again. And the gang is back together. I suggest we do a party split immediately after this. There are nine people in this pub. Fuck me. That's a lot of peeps actually thinking about it. And you've got to voice half of them. Yeah, half of them are NPCs.
01:16:26
Speaker
It'd be amazing. Oh, that was awesome. I forgot that Folly was even there. Folly just kind of looks like on the ground and just kind of... He's had a stressful game. He's tired.
01:16:44
