A Challenge and Introduction

00:00:00
Speaker
I know who you are and I know what you've done. Fight me like a man.
00:00:31
Speaker
Hello and welcome to this week's episode of The Fellowship of the Tabletop. We are a live play by the D&D Podcast set in the magical homebrewed world of Aerith. My name is Mark, I am the Dungeon Master, and also with us for today's episode we have Callan, who plays the gnome sorcerer Folly Fizzibang the Night. They're death by fireball. We've got Darren, who plays the human fighter Rogue Robin. Holy fireball Batman! Ian, who plays the dragonborn barbarian Drago. What up?
00:00:59
Speaker
And we've got Will, who plays the human bard, Karstan. I cast Fireball. Fireball! Fireball. Fireball. You missed your opportunity, Ian. I did not. I made everyone laugh by just, like, my normal one. That's a win. I did not laugh, I was disappointed. Can I give you anti-inspiration? You can, you can. I see your anti-inspiration and I will just cleave it in two.
00:01:24
Speaker
Oh, thanks. Lovely to see you too as well. Hello, everyone. Thank you for joining us.

Recap and New Encounters

00:01:29
Speaker
So on last week's episode of the Fellowship of the Tabletop, the party traveled through the Galanin Hollows, these ancient ruins underneath the Scale Road Mountains. Yeah, in the Scale Road, I forgot where we are now, in the Scale Road Mountains, deep, deep, deep in the mountains of Sleetguard. We came across a number of rooms and discovered these different tests, one of agility, one of religion, one of burning books by the looks of things, or kind of using your
00:01:52
Speaker
these weird riddles and answering questions and this fireplace gave answers in some form, some hidden form to the party. We discovered some weird stock magic potions that seem to have been placed there that seem to be out of place. This place is thousands of years old, yet these potions and scrolls of stock magic were put there not a number of years ago. These are quite new, which seem to be at odds with the age of this place.
00:02:17
Speaker
Upon opening a number of these marble doors, one final door opened, and following the corridor up, the party saw very clearly Elphir stood fighting against some kind of other scene, phantasmal force pushing him away from what can only be assumed is the plinth which would hold the onyx reaver the answer to hopefully ending the blight in some way, shape or form.
00:02:36
Speaker
the figure of Thrace down the demigod of decay and rebirth, the hanging man that has haunted a few of these members of the party for two seasons practically, two or three years since we've been playing this game before recording. He's been following them, a black mist formed behind him and out came this nine foot tall humanoid with black... what's the word?
00:02:57
Speaker
Thank you. Small razor sharp black horns adorning his obsidian dark skin with a giant waved sword cuts through the figure of of Thrace Dan. Let's add a giant scream but before Thrace Dan disappeared he said to the party quickly now take the onyx reaver get off the mountains
00:03:17
Speaker
before being cleaved in twain by this figure which has haunted many of you in your dreams. Robin and Farley, you would instantly recognise both Elthir and this figure as those you found and conversed with on the Scale Road Mountains. Robin, this was the figure that you very well know and had a long conversation with in our excellent episode 50. Go back and listen to it if you haven't already.

The Battle Begins

00:03:39
Speaker
So here we are and cast and just as you see this a small flame erupted from your finger and a jet of light Aiming straight towards elf there because he's seen Robin's picture of elf here. Literally. He's going to blast Fire literally fireballs going down this corridor. Okay, I'm not even gonna make them go into a combat order of any kind. I'm just going to um, well, they're just gonna roll the decks for I think elf they got a 27 and
00:04:06
Speaker
manages to deftly dodge behind one of the pillars and i'm thinking you're taking half damage on the fireball uh yeah his save is um yeah half as much it's 17 so it's a save of 17 so yeah yeah so he passed it with 27 so you want to roll that half damage uh the other figure doesn't seem to be perturbed but nothing seems to happen oh by the way i would have chucked it from like down the end of the
00:04:29
Speaker
Oh, yeah, of course. Yeah. So just hit them and you wouldn't hit yourself. Yeah. I'm assuming you're quite adept with your spell casting, wouldn't throw a fireball in you. So, you know, because it's got a range of 20 feet. So it would reach like over where you've got me right now. It takes 15 points of fire damage. Is it weird that you're casting damage on yourself? Yeah, it is.
00:04:52
Speaker
I mean, I would tell you that what Elphish stats are against that, but you know the stats, it's fine. He's changed, man. He's changed. Also, anything in that room that is flammable that isn't being worn or carried is now on fire. Including the Onyx Weaver, it's gone. It's done. Go home.
00:05:13
Speaker
TPK. Well, I assume a weapon isn't flammable. As the flames slowly seem to subside from this massive explosion as the flames erupt down the corridor, just narrowly avoiding you, Karsten, as your kind of impulse to fire a fireball into the room with these two grave enemies seems to take hold. You can see the marks of ash and marks upon the walls and upon these four small pillars within this room, which is not 20 foot by 35 foot, probably, across.
00:05:42
Speaker
You can see marks of flame everywhere but nothing else seems to have been lit on fire. Elphir did manage to dodge behind a pillar quickly. Some of his cape is burnt slightly and you can see one of his arms has a couple of burn marks upon it as well. The figure in the corner, this large figure,
00:06:00
Speaker
The dark, dark skin, the ancient armor on the legs, the long-waved sword has a slight smile on his face and hasn't moved and doesn't seem to have taken any damage. Now, just for argument's sake, we are in a corridor at the moment that is only five feet wide. I should have asked for your order before this, but I'm assuming Castan, in order to cast that first, Castan, hey, hey, you see that, you'd have to be nearish the front to get line of sight. So you've kind of placed yourself where you are, is that right?
00:06:28
Speaker
Yeah, I think Foley and Karsten had led the lead charging into these rooms. So yes, the moment he saw that, and then he would have probably, as he threw the fireball, he probably would have shouted, Elphir, just in case the others hadn't caught up with him yet. Amazing. And then what we've kind of got there, because of the order we've naturally gone in, Foley, then probably Drago, then Robin, then Tarly, does that make sense to anyone? Or does that scream out a problem?
00:06:54
Speaker
That's fine. It's fine. As long as I saw what went down, because I, from the book, just to retcon, I threw the book in the fire, we made a joke, and I walked off. Yeah, as long as I saw what was going down, that's absolutely cool. Fair enough. What I'll do is I'll switch the positions. Folio, just behind Dragor. You probably walked off together, but Dragor with the longer legs. I think Dragor would just barge me out of the way to make sure he went down first. I can see him doing that. Just a slight kind of, you're up to my knees.
00:07:24
Speaker
shift out of my way yeah okay um straight off the bat can i have
00:07:29
Speaker
Initiative. Can you please roll initiative? You're in this long five foot wide corridor and in front of you is Elphie in a small room with the enemy and the Onyx Reaver within it. And now the fallen, the fallen husk of what was three standard demigod of decay and rebirth. Did anyone roll 20 plus? Okay. Uh, 15 to 20. No one signaling. No, no. Oh my God. This is great for me. Um, 10 to 15. Hey.
00:07:58
Speaker
Okay, what did we get, uh, Folly? Fourteen. Carstan? Thirteen. Okay, uh, five to ten? Yes. Six. Nine. Wow, um, Robin, what happened there?
00:08:12
Speaker
a rather natural one plus five. That is literally the lowest you can get there as a six. Yeah. Kind of got lower than that. Okay. Thank you very much for that. We have our order. And so top of the round, what happens is
00:08:28
Speaker
The figure of Elphir, the cloak comes down and looks down the corridor towards you all and shouts rather loud and viciously, a voice that sounds a bit like that of Elphir, but somehow different, somehow changed from what you remember. And it just says, this is just the beginning. And in an instant, he's going to be upon you, Castan, right up in your face. And he is going to, he's going to hit you.
00:08:58
Speaker
Okay. Right in the face. Yeah, I hate to break the tension, but quit hitting yourself. Quit hitting yourself. That is an unnatural 20 against your armor class.
00:09:11
Speaker
Oh man, you were too quick on telling me the number. I was going to do something in response. No man, I can't do it now. Oh, sorry. Well, there's another attack coming. You know how this works. Unnatural 20 hits. Oh, sorry, I got the wrong dice. I was going to do too much damage there. What a shame! Uh, bear with. Oh, I've got them ready for me, silly billy. You take, uh, you take 10 points of magical bludgeoning damage.
00:09:34
Speaker
And he's going to hit you again. I'm going to use cutting words on this one. Okay, go for it. What does that do? As a reaction, I can expend one use of my Bardic Inspiration and I'm going to roll the dice and it's going to deduct it from his to hit roll. Okay, go for it to watch the Bardic Inspiration roll. Deduct two from his roll. Okay, so you rolled a 12 plus 10, 22 minus two is an unnatural 20 again.
00:09:58
Speaker
Yeah,

Inner and Outer Battles

00:09:59
Speaker
he... Jesus Christ, yeah, he still hits me. Yeah, I'm rolling well at the moment. And also a plus ten helps. And his roll was Jesus Christ. It's like Darren shooting. It is like Darren shooting, isn't it? You take eight points of magical bludgeoning damage and he's going to put on top of that a stunning strike. Can you make a con saving throw, please, Darren? Not Darren! Can a con saving throw please Will? No, not Will! Karstan! Oh my god.
00:10:25
Speaker
Castan, can you make a con saving throw please? I got a 15. Okay, you failed. Which means you are stunned until the end of your, of my next turn. And with his bonus action, he's just going to...
00:10:43
Speaker
step off to the side slightly into a shadow and disappear. Next up, Folly. You've just seen Kastan just be absolutely twatted in the face a couple of times by Althea and then in an instant steps into the shadow and is disappeared. What do you want to do? Can I step past Kastan? You can step past characters, but you have to end up in a square that is empty. You can walk past characters. Fine. Okay, cool.
00:11:09
Speaker
okay i have about that much room so i assume i can basically move so you have about 25 feet of movement so you can move into the kind of the precipice of the doorway to see what's happening within the room yeah i think folly would basically it disappeared he would see that he's gone um
00:11:27
Speaker
see there's like um no well there's nobody in this room now so i think there is shadow guy dude you can see in the corner of the room next to the onyx reaver a figure that is familiar to you that stopped the sword of of uh robin from striking elfia the last time they met he is now though sat
00:11:52
Speaker
in a very, very normal looking wooden chair, hand on the pommel of his sword, tip of the sword into the ground, leaning back on the hind legs of the sword, with a large grin on his face, looking at you as you come round the corner. Okay, I think what he fully would do then, he would see him, he would recognise him as being at the very least a comrade of Elthea, and looking
00:12:16
Speaker
If I can't find Earth here, then you'll just have to do. And then you do with normal kind of bonus action, unleash the cow traps from the side of his person and then cast Animate Objects on his cow traps and they would obviously just spring up into life and immediately start spinning around.
00:12:38
Speaker
in front of him so he's kind of all set ready for going at it. The creature just in return to that let's act this weird laugh and then starts clapping his massive massive hands and as he does that he releases the pommel of his sword the sword stays upright and he leans his legs come off the ground and he still remains on the hind legs of this chair as he claps. As you do that doesn't say anything to you. Let's have your turn.
00:13:06
Speaker
Yeah. Lovely. Karstan, you've just been punched very hard in the face by something, and then it's just disappeared all of a sudden. I can't take any action. I can't move. Oh, yes, of course. You're stunned. Thank you. Drago, you saw Elphir. Now you don't see Elphir.
00:13:21
Speaker
Yes, but before that, I need... this is integral to what I'm going to do, so I need this to be clarified. This shadow thing, I saw it all, right? I saw Elthir going for the Onyx Reaver, Thraystan going, fucking go and get it now, and I saw the shadow slice through Thraystan and come out. And does that shadow reflect the shadow that I saw the night that my father was killed?
00:13:50
Speaker
It is eerily similar, so much so that the hairs on the back of your neck stood on end.
00:13:55
Speaker
Thank you very much for that clarification. Drago is in a blind rage. Instantly, as soon as his turn in the order, hits on rage. He can make it to the creature 40 feet. He's going to run as fast as possible, withdraw Dengon's deception over his head, run at him, and slice down using Reckless Attack.
00:14:21
Speaker
Okay, roll to hit with advantage. You need to get a critical hit, mate, and then this'll be cool.
00:14:26
Speaker
You'll end the whole campaign. I know. As he's doing this, the fury is palpable and I'm animating from him. There is this desperate rage that has just taken over and he is screaming as he's bringing this sword down and this guy just got to rule. Okay. Right. Let's go. After explaining that, let's hope for the roles.
00:14:54
Speaker
Either it's going to be really impressive you're all 20, or after all that you're going to roll a one. Trips and falls on the rock. How are you doing this to me guys? Impaled himself on his own sword. I set that up so well. Assholes. Right, here we go. I've got d4, haven't I, on my bless. Hashtag blessed. Hashtag blessed. Sorry, that bless was from Tyrioni's garden, an earlier room where you walked into and you were blessed by Tyrioni. The people that don't believe in God to get it still.
00:15:22
Speaker
Yep, you didn't get a choice, you're just blessed. Okay, so it's a 22 to hit on my first attack. As you swing down the sword high and it comes down. It's 24 to hit, 24 to hit, sorry. Without a second, without taking his eyes off you, he just moves just off to the side so the blade literally comes past his face. You're not, could you roll a perception check please, Draggo? 18.
00:15:49
Speaker
As you see that happen and the blade just passes by its body, he's still making eye contact here, but his tongue comes out and he just licks the side of your sword as it goes past.
00:16:00
Speaker
So Drago's put a lot of effort into that one swing, undeterred, rage still firing, he's got another attack, we'll take the sword from the ground, 360 spin, and slice a diagonal across him. Okay, roll to hit, with advantage. Wait, you're still back close to that? Yeah, you get for every attack. Every attack, but every attack then made against me, regardless of who it is, gets a disadvantage on me.
00:16:23
Speaker
Yeah, I'm something like in Kylo Ren versus Luke Skywalker here with like this guy every attack. I got a crit. You hit a crit. Okay. I got a crit for a total hit of 31. Crit to hit. Did we sort out the stats on your damn sword? Yeah.
00:16:45
Speaker
Oh well, can't use them. Probably not. No, we did. We did. Right. So because of that... Also, depending on where this goes next, I just want to clarify one thing. Now that I'm level 11, I get brutal critical. You can roll one additional weapon, damage die, when determining the extra damage for a critical hit with a melee attack. Now, I don't know what that means. You guys will have to help me with that, but obviously... Yeah, I showed you six.
00:17:13
Speaker
So he needs to roll a con saving throw if it hits. As the sword swings round, you feel the sword vibrate and the energy, the cold energy start to feel through the handle of the sword. As it swings round, you feel a pace start to pick up to it as the sword seems to pull itself forward rather than you push it forward. And as it gets close and closer and closer, it swings round and moves in slow motion towards him. In an instant,
00:17:38
Speaker
this figure that's now standing up with a chair behind him the sword still balanced in a pommel he swings he just flicks up his his great sword which is the same size and stature as yours maybe slightly longer it's a little bit longer and just as he swings it right and he pulls it down and in a single motion the energy of this sword actually does
00:17:56
Speaker
Push him back a little bit, but he manages to just hold it off. He's not quite as cool as he wanted it to be He has to push against it slightly but manages to push back and then puts his own hand his own kind of palm of his hand against the blade of his own sword and Push it back and you are way back from him slightly making eye contact the whole time the legendary action

Climax and Decisions

00:18:19
Speaker
to negate the critical possibly
00:18:23
Speaker
uh that is just in spitting venom and as he gets pushed back the sheer force of his blade meeting another blade that's equally as powerful and that stops almost space and time as the two blades clang together and then the very force of drago being pushed back from his most powerful attack ever there's this
00:18:51
Speaker
shock, fury, and confusion that comes across him all at once. It's the end of his go.
00:18:58
Speaker
Okay, thank you very much, Drago. Awesome work, mate. Well done. Tali's turn. Tali is going to teeter up to the T-junction and poke her head around the corner and try and see what's happening. Drago, what's happening? That's all she's going to do. Robin, bottom of the round. Apologies, mate. What do you want to do? You can hear this clang and bang as Drago draws swords against that of this creature within the room with the Onyx Reaver with no elf hair that seems to have disappeared all of a sudden. What do you want to do?
00:19:24
Speaker
Robin, in lieu of any better suggestions for Tali, is just going to say to her over his shoulder, Tali, you need to stay back. And he's going to take a deep breath and draw Ghostbane and move down into the chamber. I should do this on roll 20. And he's going to come into the chamber. Is there any sign of the Onyx Reaver of that dagger?
00:19:54
Speaker
yes you can see it very clearly to the left about 15 feet away from you on a small dark plinth there seems to be what you can only assume is the onyx river you can see in front of you a ancient looking blade it has kind of a metal handle with them what seems to be a slight piece of
00:20:10
Speaker
a rock sticking out of it, sharpened to a blade point with a curved end to it. The metal is almost wrapped around, ceremonially wrapped around this bit of slate. It seems to have been placed there very purposeful. And around the dagger itself is a large selection of small to large and crumbled orange crystals. You may have just answered so already. It said that because we're looking for queltrad. Queltrad, yep.
00:20:37
Speaker
Yeah, is that the orange stuff? Or is that because I would try to plant? We never, you never figured that out. Robin as a bonus action will glance, he'll see this creature squaring off to Drago and he'll immediately on instinct send his mage hand out as his bonus action to try and grab the onyx reaver. Okay, you managed to grab the onyx reaver, you lifted up the creature's eyes dart off and looked towards the mage hand and yourself but doesn't move.
00:21:03
Speaker
OK, Robin pulls the Onyx Reaver back to himself and is going to hold his action. OK. Should Althea appear, he's going to stab him with the Onyx Reaver. OK. Nice. OK, lovely. Thank you very much. It's top of the round. And lo and behold, a small shadow just off Drago's right shoulder.
00:21:30
Speaker
Alther appears facing Drago, but Robin, your action is held. Are you within range? Technically not. Probably not. Well, would I have had the movement to have come to there? Would I have had to have come to there to see the omics reaver?
00:21:46
Speaker
Because the pillar would have been slightly in the way, yes, you would have had to come further into the room. I'll give you that. You can indeed roll to hit with the Onyx Reaver. Consider this an improvised weapon, if you will. No, don't. Consider it a regular dagger. It's a finesse weapon, so if you have a proficiency with finesse, which I believe you do, feel free, add that away. OK, that's a 24 to hit. OK, it hits. I'll roll the damage, if that's OK.
00:22:17
Speaker
Absolutely. It does eight points of damage as it hits it. Ah, catches him in the back. He wasn't expecting that. But you notice one thing, in Robin's head, maybe you thought this would do something slightly different. It just seems to just stab him in the back and he goes, ow. And that's all that really kind of happens at the moment from that.
00:22:38
Speaker
You got the rest of your action. Have you got another hit? I can only hold one attack. I'm done. No problem. So he has... So top of the round, Elphir is going to... Oh, I didn't like saying that. Top of the round, Elphir, he's going to attack Drago. He's going to attack you hard in the face. He has advantage. He does have advantage. The glee in your eyes as I reminded you there.
00:23:01
Speaker
That's a 29 against your armor class, I'm assuming that's going to hit. Yeah, you can roll on that. You take six points of magical bludgeoning. Oh wait, this is halved still? It's magical bludgeoning damage. No, it is because the raging, it's all forms of bludgeoning, piercing and
00:23:24
Speaker
Flashing. Flashing damage. It's all formative. If it was fine or something like that, it wouldn't be halved. No problem. So you take six points of bludgeoning damage from that. The next is a 28 to hit, which I assume will hit. 28 does hit. So you take 10 points of bludgeoning damage. That was 20 points of damage halved. That's down to 10. He's then going to use, as you would expect, Flurry of Blows.
00:23:49
Speaker
and is going to take basically another attack action, which he gives him, grants him two more attacks and he's going to roll on that. It's a 27. Seven points of bludgeoning damage. 27 again, and it's with advantage. It's kind of, it's mean. Fair game, man.
00:24:04
Speaker
And wouldn't he have advantage anyway with his position on me? Yeah, pretty much. Yeah, but you can't get double advantage anyway. So that's another 10 points that has been halved, another 10 points of bludgeoning damage as he just lays these punches kind of into your side as you're still reeling from the fact this creature has just
00:24:23
Speaker
taken no damage from this you swung yourself with all your might and nothing seemed to happen and in the same breath Elthea turns around and points her finger towards the hallway door towards you folly and is going to cast fireball in your direction oh fuck this is little light clan um yeah i've got a counterspell i'm gonna have to who's gonna be falling i i

Aftermath and Reflection

00:24:48
Speaker
will counterspell
00:24:50
Speaker
okay and just as it's about to come out of his hand it just ends a little explosion at the end of his finger as he turns his attention back to drago so that's your counter spell used there folly um drago just in front of you the figure has returned i'm just going to say for cinematic sake has returned back to his seat and spins the pommel of his sword did you do what the sword is just spinning around in an instant
00:25:12
Speaker
in this kind of black ashen and flame state, he seems to disappear. Similar to those creatures you saw in the black-mouthed minds that did this, and just appear at the other end of the corridor, sat in his chair, legs crossed, leaning on the pommel of his sword, and just kind of watching the events take place in front of you. And that is the end of Elfir and this person's turn. Folly, I think I know what you're going to do next. Oh, my yes.
00:25:39
Speaker
My counter-ops are rapidly spinning around me. Folly would basically be going straight after Elthea at this stage, so we were basically coming up straight behind him. Obviously, Elthea is engaged with Drago anyway.
00:25:55
Speaker
Folly would basically be in quite close quarters at this stage. He's not taking any chances. He does not want Elthier to escape, so he's trying to seal everything off right now. I will just confirm this. I've done it wrong before. It's my bonus action to actually tell these countrops what they can do, not my actual action. Correct. Calls. Okay, so do I get advantage on that role with Drago being in front?
00:26:19
Speaker
I don't believe so because it's not actually a melee attack. It's not a melee attack so I assume it's like you commanding something to take place. I think if you were to hit me with a quarter staff you would get advantage on that as it's a melee attack but as a spell, I mean correct me if you're wrong guys if you think otherwise but it feels like you'd command them.
00:26:37
Speaker
They you'd move and then you'd command them to attack kind of round robin towards elf here The whole advantage of flanking is is your the person taking tactical advantage. I don't think the items can take tactical advantages Yeah, it comes from a melee attack. It's not okay In that case then I won't be that close but i'll just be over there A little bit a step further back just a little bit away from healthy about five feet away Rolling to attack so much this spell. I love it. God damn it 25 to hit hits
00:27:07
Speaker
good okay i'm just going to reroll three dice i'm going to spend a couple of my sorcerers points just to reroll a couple that work sorry to reroll three dice okay all in that 64 points of piercing damage with the caltrops as these caltrops cut away and you've done this before many many times to rip away at the cloak on his back
00:27:30
Speaker
He doesn't flinch. And as you rip away more and more and more until basically his torso is removed of clothes practically, you can now see the stark pale skin, the unhumane, unnatural white skin with marks of lacerations across his back and front and arms and all over his body. Pale, pale skin, paler than anything you've ever seen before. These curl drops seem to make no difference.
00:27:56
Speaker
Fucking immune to piercing damage last time, but my go-to thing, my OP thing, you took it away from me. I'm sorry. You should be. In that case, as my actual action, I'm going to get really frustrated at him and just be casting Firebolt at him instead. Okay, roll to hit. 25 to hit. That hits. And that's 12 points of fire damage. Lovely, this does make contact and you do see him flinch off the back of that just for your...
00:28:24
Speaker
state of mind. So it does hit into his back as he's facing Drago. Thank you very much, Folly. Karstann, you're no longer under the influence of stun and you can see everyone who's kind of moved on ahead in front of you. What do you want to do? Karstann will move into the room. He's going to look at, no fear, look at the creature.
00:28:43
Speaker
And can they both make a chor- Mmm, don't want to do this? Yeah, fuck it. Um, can we make charisma saving throws, please? Lthea rolled a 23, didn't roll a 23, rolled a 19, a 23. And the other creature passed, what doesn't seem to have any effect on the other creature. Bullshit, dammit. Okay. Was- were you trying to- were you trying to banish them both? I was trying to banish them both, yeah. You freak. Oh, fair enough, fair enough. That's exactly the goatee spell I would use, absolutely. Bollocks.
00:29:13
Speaker
That's annoying. So I've tried to banish them. It's not worked. Not worked at all, no.
00:29:21
Speaker
That's frustrating for him. In that case, he's going to Bardic Inspiration, Drago. So it's a d10 to add to any... Any dice rolls, Drago. Yeah. Thank you. For 10 minutes, you can use it once. Okay, very nice. Drago, it's your turn. Elfie has just appeared behind you and beaten the shit out of your black lads and your back.
00:29:47
Speaker
And the creature in front of you disappeared and moved away from you, leaving you almost face-to-face with Elthea in front of you and where the Onyx Reaver was behind you. What do you want to do? My battle's not with you. And Drago pushes past Elthea to initiate an attack of opportunity from him, making a beeline for the guy who, that shadow figure. It's a 23 against your armor class. That's going to hit. Does that stop me from moving or just hits me on the way? Just hits you on the way.
00:30:17
Speaker
Well, it depends if you add stunning strike to it. Yeah. Seven points of magical bludgeoning damage. And yes, indeedy, stunning strike is going to be added onto that. So could you make a con saving throw, please, Drago? I'm going to add my Bardic inspiration to it.
00:30:33
Speaker
I could see your smirk, Mark, I know it was coming. Ian, you can do it after you've rolled the dice. Yeah, you can look at the score of the dice and then let's decide. Mark can't tell you whether you've succeeded or not, but you can then go, that's not very high, I'll add my D10. Well, that was a 22 saving. No, wait, no, it's not. No, it's more than that. 30.
00:30:54
Speaker
Three zero three zero for you. Yeah, I can't I can't fudge that. Yeah, not a problem So he tries to tries to stop you from making the moves you can feel a punch out the smaller of your back a place where you've seen Elfie I do this before to paralyze people and stop them from moving But you almost tense that area before he strikes it and you can walk on by
00:31:13
Speaker
Drugger has a single track mind at the moment and as he's walking towards the demon in question, he pushes through a frenzy and he's going to initiate frenzy attack. He's going to approach the demon. I know who you are and I know what you've done. Fight me like a man. And then strike down on him for reckless attack as well. Fucking hell. Roll to hit.
00:31:40
Speaker
This is where the guy goes, I am no man. It's a woman. I didn't kill your father. I am. That's impossible. No. Once again, I'm trying to make this as intense as possible. And you guys steamroll it in. That's a non-natural 20 to hit, which I assume is a miss.
00:32:01
Speaker
he's leaning back on his chair and almost without a second moment thought his hand switches round to the pummel of the sword and as your blade comes towards his neck he just kind of pushes the blade very slightly above his head missing and then returns the sword down point down hand on pummel looking at you smiling before the second attack what will it take for you to face me one-on-one leave elf fear and your mind controls you want me i'm your problem and roll again
00:32:32
Speaker
22. As you do that he shifts slightly to the edge of his chair and as you swing down you cut through the chair causing the two legs to crumble but just as the chair starts to fall over two new legs appear on the chair and he sits back down in the square of his chair leaning his hand up on the pommel of his sword. And then Drago after making those two attacks he's getting breathless as the frenzy is now cursing through his veins with the reckless attack and the rage

Resolution and Cliffhanger

00:33:01
Speaker
and he's panning heavy. What will it take for you to take me on? End of my goal. The figure's gonna lean into you, stand slightly and point a finger towards your face.
00:33:18
Speaker
much more strength than you currently hold drago. Tali is going to pop her head out from around the corner and see everyone in the room she's going to think twice about it and we're going to roll a d8 odd she goes in even she doesn't even she doesn't she stands her on a corner and shouts castan be careful
00:33:36
Speaker
and she's going to stay back in the corner, kind of seeing things take place there. Robin, you've got Elf there. Drago's just walked away from him towards this other creature. Robin, just to your, sorry, Elf there just to your left, Folly just to your right, cast down behind you entirely. You hear her voice echoing from the back as Drago seems to be fighting this figure in the corner. What would you like to do? Robin is going to send, with his bonus action, the Mage Hand with the Onyx Reaver in the direction of Drago.
00:34:04
Speaker
and he's going to take two swings with Ghostbane at Elfyr. Okay, roll to hit. The first one is a 25 to hit. That hits. Is Elfyr still adjacent to Folly? No, there is a space between them. Okay, that's fine. Elfyr takes 10 points of magical slashing damage and can he make a strength saving throw please?
00:34:33
Speaker
Oh my god, sorry, I'm rolling really well. That's a unnatural 20.
00:34:37
Speaker
That's fine, he still takes two points of force damage on top of that. Okay, as this shot comes in, I'm adding kind of across the arm, he tries to get his fists up the parry away but misses. This shot comes in and slices him across the arm, you see him wince in pain as the damage of Ghostbane takes hold on Elthir. Second attack? Yep, Robin will use his movement to get level with Elthir's face without disengaging. And he will swing at him again.
00:35:03
Speaker
Okay, roll the hit. That's a 17, plus that's going to be a 25 plus to hit. Yes, that does hit. Okay. He takes a further eight points of magical slashing damage and Robin will say to him, as he does that, take a look at yourself, elf fear. And that's probably about what I would manage to get in in about six seconds.
00:35:26
Speaker
Lovely. Thank you very much. Top of the round. Before that, though, Drago, the creature that's facing off with you after saying that you must be a lot stronger, the creature is going to just at the end of his finger, this black beam of energy is just going to leak forward towards your face. And it's just going to touch against the middle of your face and go through your face here. I need to roll. It has advantage.
00:35:50
Speaker
he does indeed thank you that's like a 36 i think in total yeah yeah i'm guessing um you can make a you've just been hit with a ray of enfeeblement so on a hit the target deals only half damage with your weapon attacks but use strength until the spell ends so you've basically been hit with this dilapidating feeling of
00:36:10
Speaker
weight the what even the weight of dengons deception seems to drag you down you can still lift it but it feels so much harder than it was before even your satchel you feel it pulling into the the top of your your neck slightly everything seems you just feel heavier all of a sudden than you were previously at the end of each of your turn you can make a con saving throw against the spell to see if you can break it by the way so just remember that because i i won't so you've been hit with the ray of enfeeblement
00:36:37
Speaker
Althea's turn then. Althea is going to have listened to what you just said, Robin. What did you say again? Take a look at what you've... Take a look at yourself, Althea. Take a look... sorry. Take a look at what you've become. It's not too late.
00:36:50
Speaker
Okay, and what Elphir is going to do is take a bonus action to take step of the wind. I didn't know this was a thing because Will never used it, but you can disengage and dash action. So he's going to do that and step back two spaces away in kind of sandwiched between Folly and Karstan, and then he's going to look back at you, Robin, and say,
00:37:18
Speaker
You don't know anything of what I have become. Out of his mouth, his mouth kind of like the mummy style opens a little bit wider than it should be. This noise seems to come out and this black mist seems to fly out of his mouth slightly. He's hitting you with harm. Can you make a constitution saving throw, please? Come. 15. Actually, luck point. 15 may be enough, but I'm not going to risk it.
00:37:44
Speaker
Yeah, 15. Second roll was worse. Okay. Just to be on the safe side, before you jump into that, I'm going to use my reaction to bend some luck in Robin's direction, I think. So I'll spend a couple of sorcery points and roll a d4 to add a four. Oh, 19 then. Now would be a rubbish time if you turned into a pointed plant, Folly. Shut up, Will.
00:38:11
Speaker
It would absolutely not a problem. I'll just say in the future, if you're going to use anything like that, can we make sure it's just relatively quick afterwards? Cause me going bare with and clicking. Sorry. I wanted to check how many social reports you would actually cost. Cause I can't remember. No problem. I'm fine for now, but just bear in mind, you know, with my bare widths and me trying to work out some.
00:38:35
Speaker
No problem. It's all right, you still got half damage anyway, so don't worry, it's not all out of the woods. So you take 28 points of necrotic damage, Robin, as this force of energy seems to hit into, like, your chest, almost like you'd only step outside the cold and you can, like, feel it inside your

Conclusion and Engagement

00:38:51
Speaker
body. That's what you kind of feel, and you're... Oh, no, you don't get that bit, you lucky bitch. Yeah, so that's all that happens. This cold feeling sinks in and you take that amount of damage. And that is halved, by the way, so you can thank Folly later.
00:39:04
Speaker
I was going to say, wouldn't I? Jesus Christ. That would have been painful. And upon that, after casting that spell, Elf is going to just notice that some kind of magical energy came from his right, came from the figure of Folly, and he's going to turn and he's going to roll to hit you, Folly. And that is going to be a 26 against your armor class. Yeah, believe it or not, that hits my little gnome, sorry. That's 10 points of magical bludgeoning damage, unnatural 20, and that's going to be 28. No.
00:39:35
Speaker
24 points of magical bludgeoning damages. These two hits come in the style and power of which you've never really felt before and almost takes to your back slightly that he's done that. He is then going to pop on a stunning strike to that. Could you make a constitution saving throw please, Folly? I can.
00:39:53
Speaker
16. Unfortunately your body seems to go rigid and the quarter staff in your hand start kind of doesn't fall out your hand altogether but kind of falls into luckily some of your bent fingers but you can't pull your thumb around even your thumb seems to be stuck in place because your eyes are locked on Robin just after bending luck towards him. You are now stunned till the end of Elfir's next turn. Do I make a constitution saving throw as well for the spell?
00:40:20
Speaker
Now you've hit me because I have animated object with concentration. You're incapacitated so you've lost concentration. Incapacitated automatically drops the spell. Cool, that's fine then. Thank you. I failed the saving throw anyway.
00:40:35
Speaker
So your caltrops also, Follett, fall to the ground unceremoniously across the ground as Althea starts to chortle slightly to himself. That's the end of Althea's turn. Follett, you are stunned, so unfortunately we'll miss your turn. Carstan, you've just watched Follett become rigid and Robin almost double over with this kind of pain, necrotic pain in your chest as this creature, Althea, stands right next to you. What do you want to do? Do I hurt him or do I try to be smart? What would Carstan do?
00:41:04
Speaker
Try and be smart. He wants to prove he's the smartest in the room. Karth sounds going to turn to Elphir. He's going to reach out into the mind of Elphir, like he has done with others. And can he make an intelligent saving throw, please? Yes, mate. Oh, my God. Yes, mate. Get the fuck in there. You know this character. Come on. He rolled a two. But...
00:41:29
Speaker
But he's going to use one of, okay, so what happens when you do that, you just hear, you see the elf here, look at you and you see Elfie's eyes kind of, uh-oh, as he realizes what's just about to happen. And behind Elfie and over his shoulder, Drago next to you just hear this very loud, no! And the creature is going to use one of his legendary actions to allow Elfie to pass that saving throw. Damn you.
00:41:56
Speaker
I was casting enemies abound on him, I was gonna make him think everyone was an enemy so he could attack his own boss. Oh my god, that would've been so cool! Sorry. He then has to roll a dice and that decides who he actually attacks. That's amazing. That have been some, that have been great. Sorry. Okay, so enemies abound, doesn't work. That's a little fucking hurt, difficult. Get back in the fight, Folly, and I'm gonna give Folly inspiration, by the Conspiration.
00:42:25
Speaker
lovely thank you very much cast and cargo you've been hit by a ray of enfeeblement and you are now everything's feeling very heavy this creature is then sat back down and leaning on the pommel of his sword and kind of like motions for you to go on on you get come entertain me away away from kind of chewing you away from him towards the combat taking place behind you what do you want to do
00:42:47
Speaker
Dragos dropped down to one knee because of this ray of bullshit that you sent my way because everything's feeling heavy Dragos gonna close his eyes and try and
00:43:01
Speaker
muscle his way back into some form of right conscious state, taking in a previous conversation he had with Robin about the use of rage and how it can be a help rather than a hindrance and not to lose himself. This will take his turn and he's going to end his rage.
00:43:26
Speaker
as he's knelt down in front of this god or whatever and he's just going to calm his mind but it is I'm not going to attack because for Drago to pull himself out of the rage that he's in is taking every might of his strength and he's using his memories from previous conversations to pull him out of it
00:43:51
Speaker
I mean, you couldn't fish for inspiration any more than you wanted, but you fucking got it, mate. That was sick. Add a D6 to your next role, if you so wish. You have inspiration. Well done. That was sick. I mean, even taking yourself out of an attack as well, man, that's intense. Feeling this battle. I'm feeling this battle.
00:44:12
Speaker
Good, Tali is going to move up just behind you cast down and over your shoulder is going to launch out a fireball towards Elf here. Just to clarify. Firebolt, she's not that safe. Firebolt comes all over the room. And she's going to roll, she's going to roll the 19, which actually does hit. It's 13 points of fire damage. Good girl. I'm quite proud of her. Out of girl.
00:44:37
Speaker
As this fireball comes over your shoulder and hits into Elfie's shoulder off your shoulder cast down, you see Elfie almost taken aback by this other presence that seems to be with you as he kind of looks around, counts up and realises who it was. But obviously he doesn't do anything because it's not his turn. Robin, your turn. What would you like to do? Robin feels the cold go through him. He takes a look at Elfie and a glint of pity.
00:45:03
Speaker
becomes a steely-eyed look of realisation as he says, I will do it my must. And he will leap into battle with Ghostbane and engage with Elphir and he will take two swings at Elphir with Ghostbane. Okay, roll to hit.
00:45:21
Speaker
I'll spend a second luck point. Well, before the luck point, it was another natural one. After the luck point, it's a 20, not natural. Did you add a d4, Darren? Not one. I don't think a d4 can help with a natural one, can it? No, not really. Well, it's 20, not natural, but it's now 22 with a d4, thank you. Yep, that hits with Ghostbane roll to hit. Okay, and now Bali is incapacitated, but Karstan is not, isn't he? Correct.
00:45:50
Speaker
Cool, sneaky attack. Oh yeah, I was going to say not flanking, but yeah. Okay, let's do the piercing damage. He takes 17 points of flashing damage. That's the beauty of sneaky attack. Nice, thank you. 17, yeah? Yep, thank you very much. This sword comes shining across as almost his eyes were taken off for a second, looking over at Tali and the firebolt that came smashing through. You managed to catch him on his opposite flank, causing quite a bit of damage, yep.
00:46:21
Speaker
I will hit him again. That's not going to do it. That's going to be a 13 to hit. Hold on, I haven't done the blast. 15 to hit. That doesn't hit. The second hit comes in, his eyes are back on you and the blade swings overhead as he dexterously leans back almost in an inhumane manner and bends his torso backwards to miss the swing of Ghostbane.
00:46:43
Speaker
Okay, Robin hasn't even noticed that with the steel determination he will action surge and take two more swings at him. Okay, roll to hit. That's 22 to hit. That hits, roll the damage. That is 11 points of slashing damage. Okay. And then on the final attack, son of a bitch, that's a 14 to hit.
00:47:08
Speaker
that misses again the same kind of thing happens he laughs almost when the first hit misses and then just gets caught by surprise for the next hit and then this final hit he's ready for he ducks down again you hear the voice of this creature over here over his shoulder shouts arrogance elthea i believe that ends your turn is that all your moves robin are you done lovely top of the round this creature looking over you drago quietly says he leans in as you're down on one knee as you start to calm yourself and he says
00:47:38
Speaker
I will return when I deem you a worthy adversary. Until then, farewell.
00:47:55
Speaker
elf ears turn he seems to not like his odds as he slowly becomes surrounded by everyone and what he's going to do firstly is he's not going to let Robin get away with his punching hitting him hitting him in the face like that he's going to swing to hit Robin yeah and it's first hit he's going to roll a 19 against drama class defensive duelists missed
00:48:17
Speaker
Okay, no problem. As you swing Ghostbane into a defensive parry, blocking the shot away. Does that work for attacks that carry on that round? Is that like shield? I don't think so. I think it's just one attack. Cool. And it uses my reaction FYI, so if he does move away from me now, I don't get an attack opportunity. Thank you. The next one is an unnatural 20. Hit. 15 points of bludgeoning damage as the hits come in to you.
00:48:45
Speaker
Second action, he's gonna hit you. No, he's not gonna hit you again. Actually, he's not he's going to step close to the pillar here and hiding from the statue still within the five feet but hiding from this from the Mage hands light is going to disappear into a shadow and He's gonna appear behind Tarly right at the back leaving our Area, so it's attack of opportunities. It doesn't it's like misty step and
00:49:14
Speaker
I had to check this one because I thought exactly the same thing. Shadow Step, Misty Step, and all those kind of magical, you've got to physically leave the, so I mean, unless we disagree, then I can retcon. They say you've got to physically be walking out of it to be able to kind of trigger an attack of opportunity. You have to like see their back move away. And the fact that they just, the same with Blink as well. So if Folly just disappeared, used Blink, you wouldn't get an attack of opportunity. He's going to hit Tali.
00:49:41
Speaker
It's a 16 against... I'm going to use cutting words. You can deduct 5 from that roll. Whatever the result is, you deduct 5. He rolled 16, so that becomes 11, which does miss. So the first hit, you hear Tarly scream and just cover her head, and you just shout some words over the head, which seem to sway his fist slightly off to the side, missing Tarly. He swings for the second attack.
00:50:02
Speaker
other fucking natural one and misses the second time as the word seems to still enter his head. He half-arsed the attack entirely manages to just drop onto a ball on the floor screaming as Elthir's second attack comes in, luckily missing. That is the end of, oh no it's not. From that
00:50:20
Speaker
action with Tali down the floor, Elthea is just going to take a single hand and almost build it into a really, really tight fist. His fist of energy now glowing quicker and quicker and quicker, and he's going to throw his fist out in front of him. And he's going to use the spell Shatter. And it's going to be centered directly between Robin and Folly. And it's going to be a 10-foot radius in every direction, which won't get draggable. We'll get Folly, Robin, and Karstan.
00:50:47
Speaker
You hear a sudden really loud ringing noise. It's painfully intense and it erupts from that point. Can all three of you please make constitution saving throws? I'm still incapacitated. Can I make a saving throw? Yeah, this is con, so you can roll against this, yes. Okay, Folly, what did you get? I got an eight. An eight, thank you.
00:51:10
Speaker
Robin, what did you get? 14. And I've used my last luck point by the way. Oh no, you've been rolling. Questionably. And Castan? One. My lord. Three fails. Okie dokie. You each take 13 points of thunder damage. Is that 3-0 or 13? Sorry, 1-3. Thank you.
00:51:30
Speaker
And that is Elphir's turn up. Top of the round. Folly, do you want to make your... No, it's broken now. He's unstunned now. Yeah, you're unstunned. You are free to move. Your caltrops have not fallen feebly to the ground around you. Elphir is now behind a quivering, quaking trolley. What do you want to do? And there's a ringing in your ears. What Folly's going to do, he's going to move a little bit to the back of this room. So he's got a clear line of sight straight down.
00:52:00
Speaker
this corridor. He's obviously gone past it so he knows it quite well. What he's actually going to do is start moving to himself and he is going to be casting Wall of Fire, which is basically going to go all the way along this corridor that's just behind a Velphia blocking off escape routes and things like that. The wall is opaque but it is only like one foot thick
00:52:30
Speaker
and it still will deal damage to people ten foot in front of it which I think if it's like without five foot a square it should just be healthier that's there oh it's going to be a lot longer than that entirely as well if it's ten foot each creature that ends its turn within 10 feet of a wall of fire or inside the wall will take damage I'm going to cast a wall of fire and I'm just going to have it vertically go straight down the corridor
00:53:01
Speaker
Uh for it. Um, it's obviously going to start just literally where elp here is straight down to the bottom I'm going to put all the damage on the right hand side of the wall of fire, which is the same direction The pathway actually follows too as well. So there's like an additional 10 feet worth of potential damage at the bottom But it's a level five one. So can he make? Yeah dexterity saving throw Okay, he rolls a nine
00:53:27
Speaker
Oh good, full damage. Which is 29 points of fire damage. He says, no. It is a bit warm. I've cooked my cape. That's a good will impression. Thank you. I lived with them for a year, I should know. And that folly is just going to look straight down and just give kind of like a little smirk.
00:53:57
Speaker
to Elphir, just something that he knows.
00:54:02
Speaker
You ain't getting anywhere as long as I'm here, you little swine. Nice. And it burns us back. You can hear this glottal scream echo around the Galanin Hollows as you realize you've really done some damage to Elthea then. And if you turn folly, Karst-Ann, your turn. You've just had this ringing in your ears and you realize now that there's a wall of fire behind you and almost silhouetted against this fire is this writhing figure of what you can assume is Elthea. What do you want to do?
00:54:30
Speaker
He's going to turn to Elf here because he shouted over Tali to put him off his attack and say out of the frying pan into the fire and can he make a wisdom saving throw please.
00:54:44
Speaker
I love where this is going. Oh, it was on a 19 and it rolled to a three. And so he's not there to give us a legendary action. Yep. I've just cast Tasha's hideous laughter on him. So he's now laughing and he's fallen prone into the fire. Brilliant. Amazing. So Tasha's hideous laughter. First of all, firstly, I'm really excited that Tasha's cauldron and everything is coming out. Sounds really exciting. A bit of a name drop there for the new book, but also that does some damage on its own, doesn't it? Before the fire.
00:55:14
Speaker
No, no, no. So a creature of choice within range perceives everything that's hilariously funny, mutt, and falls into a fit of laughter as his spell takes it, attacks him with a wisdom saving throw. He falls prone, becomes incapacitated, and is unable to stand up. Ah, I thought they took damage just from the initial laughing. Okay, no problem. He can't try and move out the fire. He's stuck there. Gotcha. Very well played. He can another wisdom saving throw at the end of his next turn.
00:55:43
Speaker
because he'll have suffered damage he does get advantage on that throw and if he succeeds he then can get back up again but yeah okay lovely at the end of his go basically leaves him in the fire cooking for a turn fried elf here
00:56:01
Speaker
Lovely if someone's if we ever opened a fast-food restaurant fried elf here I'll be on the menu Amazing really what nice good shit cast and well done drago your turn this this person's disappeared in front of you You can just hear the scream of elf here entirely from down the corridor nearby. What do you want to do? The rage has subsided your level head? Yes No, drago's level headed and has taken in what's happening around him. He
00:56:26
Speaker
Gets up from 1A, stills feeling the effect because he didn't shake it off or he didn't even roll for it because he just didn't want to. He was too busy concentrating to get the rage out of him. He is going to walk up to Elthir. Elthir is prone, isn't he? Yes. You can't actually get there. Why can't I get there? If we space.
00:56:46
Speaker
Tali's there, Kastan's there, Robin's there, everyone's kind of in the way. I can't push him, push it through or anything like that. You can, but you have to end on a square that is empty. And if you push to one of the squares that are empty, you go through the fire and take the damage from that. I'm going to go through the fire and take the damage. Okay, so Folly, how much damage will Drago take from that? Can you roll the damage against Drago, please?
00:57:07
Speaker
It's the end of Drago's turn as well. Okay, yeah. It's time a creature first enters it or ends its go. So, Folly, you roll the damage on that. Drago, continue, we'll add the damage on afterwards. I'm going to walk over to Elthea, which I assume will be behind him now if I'm pushing past everyone. Yep, or you could get just diagonal off to the sides if you wanted to stand there. Anywhere I can grab my hands on him.
00:57:32
Speaker
Yep, just off to the left of him. He's also rolling on the floor, laughing. That's why I'm going to grab him. And he's prone, so I don't have to make a strength check, do I? It just happens. Yeah, pretty much. So I pick him up. I would take the bear that Claude gave me out of my satchel. There's an effect that triggers, and it will heal Elthea, because I'm going to take the bear,
00:58:02

I'm going to say to Elthir, you're not lost. I refused to you to give in to this demon. I'm going to take the bear and face it into Elthir. So he locks eyes on it. I would like then to beg Akiva to save Elthir from the grips of the demon. What is the effect that's in the teddy bear? Is it greater restoration? I think it's greater restoration. And while it's happening, I'd be Akiva.

00:58:52
Speaker
OK, I'm going to roll with the Bard of Inspiration. I'm going to roll with my Inspiration from you earlier. I'm throwing all my dice rolls into this. So I'm going to roll the d20 first, which is an 8. I'm going to roll the d4. It's a d10 from me. I ignore that roll of the... Unfortunately, I didn't ignore that. It's a d10 from you. So I got 1 on that 4. So that's 9. 11 with the religion. It's a d10 from you.
00:59:21
Speaker
So 20, and now I've got all my inspiration, which is what, a D6? Yep.
00:59:27
Speaker
25 for religion check you feel the fire burning on the side of his face and on the side of your face as you reach down blocking him for a second as you lift him off the ground he's just laughing back at you staring into your eyes as you say those words for a split second as it takes a breath in you can see for a very split second in his face
00:59:53
Speaker
the old face of Elthea. You can see the stern features. Return just for a second as this action seems to be taking place. The screams of Tali and everyone seems to be echoing down the corridor as you push the bear into his chest. You close your eyes and you feel that faint buzzing in your ears as you quietly pray to a god you do not believe in. And for some reason
01:00:15
Speaker
even you don't think it should work it seems to work and you see this breath enter back into him he's still laughing uncontrollably because it just heals him but you see some of the cuts and bruising and blistering across his face push back and heal back as you hear this rumbling in your ears and your body start to take over and as he continues to laugh he reaches out with a hand and grabs a hold of your satchel
01:00:41
Speaker
and leans in, but it's not his turn, he can't say anything. Tarly is just going to... Oh, Drago, do you still take that? I need to take the damage from the fire. How much damage does he take, Clay? This romantic moment is happening in the pits of hell. Can you make a dexterity saving throw? Nah, it's only when he starts it. Yeah, he gets it. I freely take it. I literally walked into fire for this guy. That'll burn off. Save to dodge out the way of it appearing.
01:01:08
Speaker
Oh, okay, just 28 points of fire damage. Just follow. I think you've done more damage to Drago than anyone else. Not quite. Not too far off. Depends how long Drago's late on the fire. Okay. Tali is going to stand up using half her action because she is on the floor and she is going to skidaddle around the corner towards the side that's near where the Onyx Reaver was, but now isn't and just holds these orange crystals and is just going to hide behind the pillar away from the flames.
01:01:37
Speaker
push her back against it. Oh God, oh God, oh God. And take some deep breaths behind it. Sorry, I've caused myself to hyperventilate. And then, that wasn't Tylee, that was Mark, that was me. Robin, your turn, bottom of the round. You can see Drago in the flames holding Elthea up saying something, pushing a bear into his chest, cast that and obviously looks confused as well, as do you. What do you like to do? I can see this, can I? Yeah, you can see it, yeah.
01:02:06
Speaker
He's lifted Elphir out of the flames, pushed his bear into his chest, which you don't really get what's going on. And you've seen Elphir reach out and kind of grab the shoulder of kind of, the only thing that's kind of, Drago's got there, which is kind of like the satchel strap across his shoulder. Still Drago weak, you can see him kind of half hunched over as Elphir's kind of grabbed a hold of the shoulder.
01:02:29
Speaker
Robin is going to feel an amalgamation of emotions go through him as he sees the two comrades that have come through the sword case with him. He's going to glance left and see Tali, the final member of those comrades to have come through.
01:02:45
Speaker
the Sword Coast, and he's going to remember the promise he gave Drago, and calm emotions are going to prevail. And he's going to let Ghostbane fall to the floor, and he's going to go over to Tali, grasp her by the shoulders, and thinking that whatever may be coming, she might not be able to handle it, is just going to pull her in close, as if you don't need to see this kind of moment. And that's the end of Robin's turn.
01:03:15
Speaker
Okay, thank you very much Robin. Top of the round. Drago, you hear a loud and familiar now voice come from your right shoulder in the middle of the flames, away from Althea, as Althea is looking at you and you looking at Althea, held in this grasp in the fire, as both continue to burn.
01:03:35
Speaker
Enough! The flames are instantly extinguished, not because the flames themselves are put out, but because a figure is stood.
01:03:45
Speaker
at full height blocking it, and is the figure of this black-skinned creature that you'd seen previously. He stood at full height now, a tall nine feet, an impressively wide body, soared in an active position, standing with purpose for the first time, the flames literally pummeling against his back, pushing through, but only the odd spark seems to appear around his shoulder as a cool energy comes over you.
01:04:11
Speaker
He looks down towards Elthir. There is much that still needs to happen here, Elthir. This was good training, but there is more to be done.
01:04:22
Speaker
come and in an instant he disappears and the hands you have on him uh drago just returned to nothing and your hands are just filled with portions of ash and you see just for a second another glint in his eye before he disappears and broken down into fire flame and and dust and disappears robin and folly you would recognize this as happening before
01:04:44
Speaker
This figure stands and looks over you all, smiles and nods his head, do not think you win this fight. I came here for Threshtan, and I leave with that pathetic demigod smote from existence. Your end does not come here, no, not yet, and in an instant
01:05:07
Speaker
He half lets go of the sword which hangs in the air and his two massive hands clap together in an instant folly. Your flange is extinguished and even those with darkvision for a second, their vision is blurred for a second. When you come back too, not only is Elphir gone, but this creature is also gone as well.
01:05:28
Speaker
And as your eyes adjust back, and I'm assuming, Folly, you would relight the torch you have, and you find yourselves in this small room. Once again, you start to hear from all angles now these weird groans, multiple groans coming from different areas, multiple voices.
01:05:50
Speaker
