From a self-described "not nice atheist" to having a sudden and all-encompassing spiritual awakening into "The Sea of All Self" at an early age, Jesse's journey through adulthood has been both tragic and joyful! His rapid ascension and transformation brought with it a certain level of persecution and even "treatments" for simply sharing the light and joy he had experienced in "Samadhi."

From my first meeting with Jesse years ago, I sensed a palpable peace and equanimity in his presence. In this episode, Jesse shares his unique path to becoming the man he is today. Although some of the terms and concepts he mentions may be unfamiliar, his story is one of a mystical and open hearted man who exemplifies how to, "be strong and be yourself, to know your boundaries, to just believe in yourself and do it!"

"Curiosity is the antidote for shame."

At a point, something's got to give. Reaching that point for SEAN made him curious about the trauma and conditioning that trained him to be something he's not. Seeking answers and ways of sifting through years of accumulated experiences and emotions, he worked with "non-mainstream" teachers and modalities that supported a break-through of consciousness and ways to gain agency over the troubling patterns of his life. He shares with us the importance of taking risks and developing the courage to trust himself to become the noble father, husband, son and brother he is today.

Moments with GEOF - Part 1

"Every man has a little cocky in him!"

James' story of growing up in the same small town as me is a true example of the saying, "hard times make strong people." Many facets of his personal environment were difficult and in our hot, humid summers (with only landline phones) it took quite a bit of effort and independence and a lot of sweat to meet up with close friends that were a lifeline for his soul.

The strength he gained in hard times gave him the desire to challenge himself and to do "harder things." Then a crucial juncture allowed him to tap into his innate leadership qualities and to commit to giving that strength direction and purpose.

James gives us a true hero's saga ... one in which the hero gains his strength "in battle" and becomes a vital, respected, and humble leader, protector, provider to his family and community and to all his relations.

Moments with SETH DUVAL

In Moments with MEN, Lizzie provides an open space for conversations with men about their experience with “expected” roles and acceptable expressions of masculinity -- and ultimately, authenticity – in our current culture.

Observing, speaking with and being in relationship with men has brought a vivid awareness and compassion for the difficult place in which many find themselves at this time. Roles, definitions, expectations, labels are all changing and many feel they don’t have an outlet – other than the expected and acceptable ones – that truly give them a chance to discover and express their true authenticity.

“Moments with MEN” are designed to offer a conversation, between a man and a woman, about how we’re experiencing this time, how we’ve all been limited by societal expectations and narratives, what we’d like to be allowed to change in our relationships going forward, and more!
