Ninja Ed's Career Transition

00:01:47
Thomas Lorenzo
Ninja Ed, before we get into our topics that we have for this first ever chapter, um let's give an audience a little introduction of who you are who I am and why we created the podcast.
00:02:02
Eduardo Lorenzo
Yeah, let's do that. I think that's that's that's fair to do. You know, you're starting out today with online today, O2D, right? Also as well, as we've known it in the past.
00:02:15
Eduardo Lorenzo
um As far as me, you know a lot of people don't know this, but I started way back in the day in the in the and the IT industry. We both did that but for a lot.
00:02:26
Thomas Lorenzo
Yes, you did.
00:02:27
Eduardo Lorenzo
ah I was always passionate about cybersecurity, but at some point, um I transitioned the whole thing. and I went from one career to completely the opposite. A lot of people are like you lost your mind.
00:02:44
Eduardo Lorenzo
And I'm like, no, you know, my my you were one you were one of them.
00:02:45
Thomas Lorenzo
i I was one of them.
00:02:48
Eduardo Lorenzo
Yeah, absolutely.
00:02:48
Thomas Lorenzo
I was a hater. I admit I was a hater initially. I was like, what the?
00:02:51
Eduardo Lorenzo
Yeah, absolutely. And, but I went, i went from that into a career of sports and fitness and wellness. And ever since, you know, obviously I'm a coach, ah entrepreneur. I've owned my own businesses, my own facilities. I've ran, I've been a consultant for different places.
00:03:11
Eduardo Lorenzo
At the same time, I brought that same mindset of a business-like into everything that I do. And as a coach, I'm passionate about movement. so I'm a movement specialist and working with people and obviously trying to increase whether it's performance, fat loss, getting the best out of people.
00:03:32
Eduardo Lorenzo
When it comes to everything else that I do in life, it's kind of like the same thing. Like, how can we do it better? What can we do that's different and help people out?
00:03:39
Thomas Lorenzo
And why Ninja Ed? Why Ninja Ed?
00:03:42
Eduardo Lorenzo
Why Ninja Ed?
00:03:43
Thomas Lorenzo
Yeah.
00:03:44
Eduardo Lorenzo
Well, you know, I guess it's like Fight Club. You know, we don't talk about that. yeah First rule Fight Club.
00:03:48
Thomas Lorenzo
ah
00:03:49
Eduardo Lorenzo
If I tell you, we're going to have a problem.
00:03:52
Thomas Lorenzo
The first rule of Fight Club.
00:03:54
Eduardo Lorenzo
Yeah, so we don't talk about it.
00:03:54
Thomas Lorenzo
Don't talk about Fight Club.
00:03:56
Eduardo Lorenzo
But no, the reality is that I did actually. ah I trained for the longest time for American Ninja Warrior. I was on the show on American Ninja Warrior.
00:04:06
Thomas Lorenzo
American Ninja Warrior.
00:04:08
Eduardo Lorenzo
Yeah, man. Yeah, it was a cool really cool experience. I've been a course tester. The facility that I had in Florida was partially dedicated to obstacle racing and Ninja Warrior. So I was able to meet and travel around, as ah travel and meet a lot of people.
00:04:26
Eduardo Lorenzo
That was amazing, you know, because it's it's a short niche, you know.
00:04:30
Thomas Lorenzo
Great, great afternoon.
00:04:30
Eduardo Lorenzo
And so it's a great community and people love it and everything. And so I was dubbed Ninja Ed for a long time. And it just, boom, it just carried over into everything that I do.
00:04:41
Eduardo Lorenzo
And it's been, hey, there's a ninja. And maybe other the reasons, but, you know, we'll leave those off the air. But and so so it's pretty cool.
00:04:48
Thomas Lorenzo
All right, all right.

Tommy's IT Journey and Writing Career

00:04:50
Eduardo Lorenzo
But recently, along with everything that I've been doing, something that you and I co-host has been another podcast. It seems like you and I have a lot of podcasts going on.
00:05:01
Thomas Lorenzo
Yep, this is our third podcast.
00:05:01
Eduardo Lorenzo
But this one is, what
00:05:05
Thomas Lorenzo
This is our third podcast.
00:05:07
Eduardo Lorenzo
is it?
00:05:08
Thomas Lorenzo
Yep, yep.
00:05:09
Eduardo Lorenzo
Wow. Wow.
00:05:10
Thomas Lorenzo
Yeah, we have Tacita de Llava. If you're not following, if you're in the Latin community, we would recommend you follow it. Tacita de Llava is all about conversations, interviews, topics that might be of interest.
00:05:20
Eduardo Lorenzo
Oh, hell yeah.
00:05:28
Thomas Lorenzo
um We have Dobrovskis.
00:05:31
Eduardo Lorenzo
Yep, I was going to get into that.
00:05:31
Thomas Lorenzo
which is all about wellness and support.
00:05:33
Eduardo Lorenzo
Go ahead.
00:05:34
Thomas Lorenzo
And we have online today with today being the first ever podcast.

Podcast's Mission: Simplifying Information

00:05:40
Thomas Lorenzo
So tell us a little bit about ah the Brochke because you're actually the mind behind that.
00:05:41
Eduardo Lorenzo
Yeah.
00:05:46
Eduardo Lorenzo
Well, the Broskis started everybody has a voice and we're going to get into that a little bit about online today, but, and in the sports industry, <unk> man, you just Google sports and, or podcasts and there's too many, but all these talk show, all the radio.
00:06:03
Thomas Lorenzo
That's right.
00:06:05
Eduardo Lorenzo
So, but nothing ever changes, for example, for the average Joe that, for example, goes to get a haircut, you know, the barbers, the barbershop talk and,
00:06:19
Eduardo Lorenzo
if We start talking about there's that banter because we're talking about sports, my team, your team, my athlete, your athlete um or international, you know, competition and different things like that.
00:06:25
Thomas Lorenzo
that's right
00:06:30
Eduardo Lorenzo
And so you and I do come from a sports background. We love sports. We also see it from an eye of as a fan, but also as a business.
00:06:41
Eduardo Lorenzo
And so the Broskis came. i mean, back in Puerto Rico, we call it, yo, bro, what's going on, right? And so so so the bros keys, that's how it started.
00:06:48
Thomas Lorenzo
That's right.
00:06:51
Eduardo Lorenzo
Like, hey, it's two bros. Sometimes we got other guests, right? And we talked to them about their takes. But ah two dudes.
00:06:57
Thomas Lorenzo
Mr. Wilito, which is missing by the way.
00:06:58
Eduardo Lorenzo
Uh-huh.
00:07:00
Thomas Lorenzo
i don't know if everything that's going on in Washington, did did they grab him something?
00:07:01
Eduardo Lorenzo
Actually, I already,
00:07:05
Thomas Lorenzo
What's happening?
00:07:06
Eduardo Lorenzo
yeah. There's a PSA out for him. So we'll see.
00:07:10
Thomas Lorenzo
Wilito, you're missing. We're gonna put you with Rolandito in a few minutes.
00:07:15
Eduardo Lorenzo
We're going to see what's going on with that. But BroSky has been really cool because we get to not just do a sports recap, but we take it to another different level also. So we're talking about, you know, the influence that it has day to day average fan, the economics of it.
00:07:34
Eduardo Lorenzo
I mean, right now, prices are skyrocketing, right? When it comes to streaming services and everything. How does that affect the consumer? What does that mean? What can you expect going forward? And then it's just like, man, let's just talk about what we like, what we don't like.
00:07:49
Eduardo Lorenzo
and And so it's been a great concept.
00:07:49
Thomas Lorenzo
Right.
00:07:51
Eduardo Lorenzo
We've been moving on. And it's so, yeah, it's pretty cool thing.
00:07:55
Thomas Lorenzo
All right. All right. So I'll do a ah brief intro to the audience about me. If you haven't been listening to me in Tacita de Llava, you will be hearing about me more as we go along.
00:08:08
Thomas Lorenzo
um I've been in the IT world, especially in cybersecurity for the past 26 years. um I sell what's called professional consulting services.
00:08:19
Thomas Lorenzo
um And that gives me a lot of insight into different businesses, how they run, different people at different levels. So part of what we want to do on this show is precisely bring you that insight as well, even though we're going to get a little bit more into that in in a few minutes.
00:08:36
Thomas Lorenzo
But What I started last year was expanding as an author. um I have both fiction and nonfiction books. I started with the cybersecurity book.
00:08:49
Thomas Lorenzo
Then I moved over to romance suspense novels. So you definitely can find me online and get a glimpse of what I'm writing and what I'm doing. um One of my biggest passions, and I do this every time I speak with my customers and I feel is what makes the difference between me and other consultants is I love, I love to simplify complex topics.
00:09:17
Thomas Lorenzo
um I feel sometimes on purpose, people want to sound smarter than they really are. So they use huge words, complex explanations. They come out with...
00:09:32
Thomas Lorenzo
A lot of bullshit. That's ah what I'm going to call it. um Instead of being straightforward with customers or straightforward with people, help them.
00:09:40
Eduardo Lorenzo
sometimes it's an ego thing right it's an ego thing it's like i need to prove yeah okay
00:09:43
Thomas Lorenzo
It's an ego thing. And and and also, it's ah I want to sell myself bigger. And more expensive. So if I make it complex. Then

Origins and Evolution of Online Today

00:09:52
Thomas Lorenzo
you can't do what I do. Supposedly. um So I don't like that. um I'm totally the contrary. I want to simplify things. I want to help you learn.
00:10:03
Thomas Lorenzo
I want to help you move forward. as As you grow. I grow. That's always been my mentality. So I'm going to bring that to this podcast. And hopefully you guys going to enjoy that.
00:10:16
Thomas Lorenzo
So that's.
00:10:16
Eduardo Lorenzo
Well, that's pretty cool. that No, that's that's pretty cool. And got to be honest with you. ah Sometimes when I'm listening to you, that's how I fit. No, I'm just kidding.
00:10:27
Eduardo Lorenzo
No, yeah, that's actually a very interesting concept. So why don't we get right into the heart of it? Because we're talking about online today.
00:10:39
Eduardo Lorenzo
Very briefly explain specifically what is online today.
00:10:46
Thomas Lorenzo
So it's going to be an interview format type of podcast. We're going to have a few guests and I'll talk to about that as we go along. But we want to focus on basically three things.
00:11:01
Thomas Lorenzo
Technology as it advanced.
00:11:03
Eduardo Lorenzo
OK?
00:11:04
Thomas Lorenzo
We want to talk about culture. which in culture that might mean geopolitics, it might mean economy, it might mean trends, it might mean different things to different people.
00:11:06
Eduardo Lorenzo
okay
00:11:16
Thomas Lorenzo
um And obviously we want to talk about business, um how our businesses are advancing, how other people have been successful at what they do. So I want you to hear it directly from them.
00:11:32
Thomas Lorenzo
um I feel the market, especially since we we started with the internet, is overwhelmed with a lot of information. So as I mentioned at the beginning, part of the idea is
00:11:45
Eduardo Lorenzo
much noise. Too much noise.
00:11:47
Thomas Lorenzo
Too much noise, way too much noise. So what I want to bring with online today is simplify that noise. Let's make it easy for people to understand what's what. um So you have the information to make smart, educated decisions.
00:12:03
Eduardo Lorenzo
right. well You said this is going to be like an interview style, right? how Maybe something when you're talking with some people.
00:12:08
Thomas Lorenzo
Yeah.
00:12:11
Eduardo Lorenzo
So I'm going ask you a couple of questions and just give me a straight answer.
00:12:14
Thomas Lorenzo
Sure.
00:12:15
Eduardo Lorenzo
All right. um We talked about so much noise. When did you realize people drowning with information?
00:12:25
Thomas Lorenzo
When I started ah traveling to meet customers in their different parts of the world. um
00:12:31
Eduardo Lorenzo
Well, that's right. You've been all over.
00:12:33
Thomas Lorenzo
Yeah. So one one of the, i guess, and and in and it's funny ah to a certain point, we we tend to believe in the things that create our environment is the bubble where we were at.
00:12:49
Thomas Lorenzo
Right. Like we believe, oh, we only us is suffering about X, Y and Z. But then you go to Jamaica, you go to Trinidad, you go to Guyana um or you might visit Canada, Germany, other parts. And then you start realizing and hearing people, they have the same problems.
00:13:11
Thomas Lorenzo
they they They have also the same challenges. So. One of the bigger challenges is, especially in the IT business world, is how am I going to move forward and trust the right vendors?
00:13:26
Thomas Lorenzo
What are the right products or solutions that are really going to help me? And having customers just look me in the eye and say, Tommy, be honest. Is this what we really need? This is going to be a big investment that we have to make. So when I started listening to that and hearing that,
00:13:45
Thomas Lorenzo
I said to myself, you know what, what I need to start doing is helping customers understand what other customers are doing to create success, sharing stories, networking them and such.
00:14:00
Thomas Lorenzo
So there' there's a small niche I would dare say there, help people kind of navigate with all the so so-called experts on on the market.
00:14:11
Eduardo Lorenzo
these challenge A lot of these challenges that you say that we all face, no matter where we are in the world, um more often than not, they they are being interfered by issues like economics, sometimes political movements, right?
00:14:28
Thomas Lorenzo
Yep.
00:14:31
Thomas Lorenzo
That's Yeah.
00:14:31
Eduardo Lorenzo
It could be a lot of things that could be part of why some kind
00:14:38
Eduardo Lorenzo
countries are more progressive or way advanced in technology. Others are not. Some industries just take off.
00:14:47
Thomas Lorenzo
yeah
00:14:47
Eduardo Lorenzo
Others seem to be spinning in the same spot. Is that some of the stuff you're talking about?
00:14:52
Thomas Lorenzo
Yeah, definitely. um The same thing happens. For example, I still haven't been able to find an answer. Why are there's a big amount of people that are are lovers and followers and supporters of the New York Yankees? What the hell is that?
00:15:08
Eduardo Lorenzo
ah
00:15:09
Thomas Lorenzo
what's What's happening? like these people These people need support and help.
00:15:11
Eduardo Lorenzo
Worldwide, baby. Worldwide, baby. it's
00:15:17
Thomas Lorenzo
They need help.
00:15:17
Eduardo Lorenzo
Listen, if you want followers, do not say things like that going is worldwide.
00:15:23
Thomas Lorenzo
ah No, no, no. we we we We need that. Like the same thing with these LeBron fans. um You need enlightenment. You need information. I'm going to simplify it for you.
00:15:36
Eduardo Lorenzo
People know who the best is the best is. and That's my only answer to that.
00:15:39
Thomas Lorenzo
Exactly. Kobe Bryant, the Red Sox. and And right now the Steelers are going through a depression situation.
00:15:44
Eduardo Lorenzo
I'll say this though. I'll say this though, because a lot of people, and probably nobody knows this because this is the first podcast for online today.
00:15:56
Eduardo Lorenzo
But those that are really close to you, especially me know that the concept of online today did not start it today.
00:16:05
Thomas Lorenzo
Oh, no.
00:16:06
Eduardo Lorenzo
When did it click? It clicked a while back.
00:16:07
Thomas Lorenzo
oh no
00:16:08
Eduardo Lorenzo
It was a concept that you had and it was a mission, a vision, and you're starting to see it now.
00:16:14
Thomas Lorenzo
Yeah, yeah. So it ah to be really transparent in in the year 2000, I had a magazine. It was called Online Today um um in Puerto Rico.
00:16:22
Eduardo Lorenzo
Yep.
00:16:24
Thomas Lorenzo
I would interview owners and IT people. And i that was a one man gang kind of a business.
00:16:31
Eduardo Lorenzo
It was, I remember, I remember.
00:16:33
Thomas Lorenzo
Because I did the drawings, I did the articles, I did most of the interviews. And the bigger difficult part was selling ads and distributing the magazine. um Unfortunately, when I started that initial movement, um digital the digital world started kind of blowing up. So people weren't going to magazines anymore to look for information. and such. So I kind of got away from that.
00:17:06
Thomas Lorenzo
And I actually brought it back. If you read one of my novels, um the novel is Hearts in Isolation. One of the major topics within the novel is online today as a newspaper.
00:17:15
Eduardo Lorenzo
Okay.
00:17:21
Thomas Lorenzo
It pretty much is that that that magazine that we had in the past. um so And now we have the podcast that maybe or maybe not, I don't know, I'll leave you with that intrigue, might come up in future novels as well. So yes, we're we're trying to grow that branding online today and and and the vision for that still continues.
00:17:46
Eduardo Lorenzo
So i i may I may have a limited edition of it in my storage.
00:17:51
Thomas Lorenzo
Ha ha
00:17:52
Eduardo Lorenzo
in my storage I got to go and see if if it's there.

AI's Impact on Industries

00:17:56
Eduardo Lorenzo
um And then I'll bring it back one day and like, check it out, guys.
00:18:01
Thomas Lorenzo
Dude, if you have that, I need to see that because I lost that.
00:18:01
Eduardo Lorenzo
so so
00:18:04
Eduardo Lorenzo
Oh, you don't have one?
00:18:05
Thomas Lorenzo
No, I lost it.
00:18:06
Eduardo Lorenzo
You don't have one?
00:18:07
Thomas Lorenzo
I lost it.
00:18:08
Eduardo Lorenzo
No, man, how can that happen?
00:18:09
Thomas Lorenzo
Yeah. Yeah.
00:18:11
Eduardo Lorenzo
But maybe you can go on a few things.
00:18:11
Thomas Lorenzo
im I'm 99% sure that I have it on storage, ah the the originals that I designed. i must have it in one of the storage computers that I have.
00:18:25
Eduardo Lorenzo
Okay.
00:18:26
Thomas Lorenzo
Unfortunately, that's a way old, old, old um Photoshop, which is what I used to use. I don't know if it's compatible with today's technology to open the files.
00:18:36
Thomas Lorenzo
So
00:18:37
Eduardo Lorenzo
never know, man. Somebody can retrieve it. I do have a question that some viewers may have because you said at the beginning, oh, there's a lot of we know this already. this is not we're not making this up. We know it.
00:18:49
Eduardo Lorenzo
Just type anything and it's too much. It's confusing. ah So with so many topics or people at times talking about similar topics, why is this going to be different?
00:19:06
Thomas Lorenzo
a great question. um So you know what happened and I'll be very honest and transparent. We started this with Tacita Llava, right?
00:19:16
Thomas Lorenzo
and And you've been on on the program
00:19:17
Eduardo Lorenzo
Yes.
00:19:20
Thomas Lorenzo
And we've had, to my surprise, great growth. Like people are listening in Spain, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, from a lot of places.
00:19:30
Eduardo Lorenzo
That's awesome.
00:19:32
Thomas Lorenzo
Yeah, no, that's like, I'm humbled by that. But at the same time, i had customers and friends reach out, hey, but what about us that don't speak Spanish?
00:19:44
Thomas Lorenzo
Like we, it's in Spanish.
00:19:44
Eduardo Lorenzo
Because Tacita de Java is in Spanish. For those who didn't get that earlier, yeah.
00:19:48
Thomas Lorenzo
Yeah, correct. So they were saying, hey, we'd be interested consume that information as well and be part of the conversation. um So I was hesitant at first because, as you said at the beginning, we have many podcasts. um But I thought that if the listeners were there and and they're saying they're interested, now is the right time because Everything that's moving right now is going digital.
00:20:18
Thomas Lorenzo
Communication is becoming podcast.
00:20:19
Eduardo Lorenzo
True. Yep.
00:20:20
Thomas Lorenzo
The social media is becoming the way you you gain information. um So why not now?
00:20:28
Eduardo Lorenzo
Okay. That makes sense. And you know what? Sometimes people just want straight answers, no fluff. And it comes from a source they can trust.
00:20:36
Thomas Lorenzo
That's right.
00:20:38
Eduardo Lorenzo
Or sometimes it comes from somebody that they're trying to find the right answers in order to make better decisions. whether it's in a personal life, whether it's on a business decision like you, right? As a consultant, um, you know, you hire, you come in, evaluate the business. This is what you need.
00:20:57
Eduardo Lorenzo
Yes. And it's an investment, but the longterm return of investment, or you're going to save all this money, or this is going to be, whether it's security wise, it's going to protect your your business interest or your personal interest.
00:21:11
Eduardo Lorenzo
Those are some of those things. So what can we expect? Let's talk about the format because, um You mentioned a couple of things about interviews. and start So let's start there.
00:21:23
Thomas Lorenzo
Right. So, what yeah.
00:21:24
Eduardo Lorenzo
Guest interview. Let's start there.
00:21:26
Thomas Lorenzo
Yeah. So our intention is to be anywhere between 30 to 40 minute podcast. But as you know, um sometimes it evolves.
00:21:37
Thomas Lorenzo
It can go over an hour and an hour 20 minutes.
00:21:40
Eduardo Lorenzo
I'm going to say it right now we're halfway there. So come on, man.
00:21:42
Thomas Lorenzo
Yeah, so it does happen.
00:21:43
Eduardo Lorenzo
Keep it short.
00:21:45
Thomas Lorenzo
So that that could happen. we'll We'll have some longer, shorter ones. But the idea is somewhere in between that sweet spot, 30, 40 minutes. So you're running at the gym, you're in the car in traffic, or you just need a space um to listen and disconnect from the rest of the world.
00:22:01
Eduardo Lorenzo
What kind of topics are we going to talk about?
00:22:05
Thomas Lorenzo
Well, we're going to talk about technology.
00:22:06
Eduardo Lorenzo
oh Just throw a few.
00:22:07
Thomas Lorenzo
Yeah.
00:22:07
Eduardo Lorenzo
You don't have to be very specific, just throw a few.
00:22:08
Thomas Lorenzo
Yeah. Yeah, yeah, we're going to talk about technology, cybersecurity, what's happening. We want to talk about AI, have deep dives of what's going to happen because AI is not just technology tool.
00:22:20
Thomas Lorenzo
it's going to
00:22:20
Eduardo Lorenzo
That's huge.
00:22:22
Thomas Lorenzo
It's going to reshape everything, economy, the way we do things, the way we work.
00:22:22
Eduardo Lorenzo
That's huge.
00:22:26
Thomas Lorenzo
So we're going to have a few deep dives around that. And as I mentioned, will you know nothing's off the table. We're going to have conversations that probably are going to touch a little bit Politics, economy, and relationship.
00:22:40
Eduardo Lorenzo
um let me let me Let me stop you there for a second.
00:22:43
Thomas Lorenzo
Yeah, shoot.
00:22:43
Eduardo Lorenzo
but let me stop you Let me stop you there for a second. So I just want to break down a little bit of it. We're not going to get too in deep. That's going to be between you and your your guests going forward. But you said AI in the workspace.
00:22:54
Thomas Lorenzo
Mm-hmm.
00:22:55
Eduardo Lorenzo
So if you can, the top of your head very quick, what jobs or what type of industry are changing the fastest?
00:23:05
Thomas Lorenzo
Ooh, which not. um if you're
00:23:08
Eduardo Lorenzo
Okay, there we go.
00:23:09
Thomas Lorenzo
yeah If you're in customer service, I would be concerned. um Customer service is a low hanging fruit for many companies.
00:23:14
Eduardo Lorenzo
Interesting.
00:23:18
Thomas Lorenzo
um when there's something called the net promoter score or NPS in most companies is the way you measure the response from from your customers and and the customer service you're providing. And the department that mostly hurts that NPS score tends to be customer service because Unfortunately, you can train your employees as best you can to be good, loyal, um provide good responses, but they're human as well. So emotional components come in
00:23:55
Thomas Lorenzo
They might not be feeling it today. So AI doesn't have emotions. So if you could put a robot or an agent that's going to help you find information that you need, that will give you the responses, that will listen to all your screams, your your foul mouth or whatever it is that you want to express.
00:24:14
Thomas Lorenzo
That's perfect because it's not going to give you back a attitude or anything else. They're just going to give you the information that you're asking for and help you solve. So there in itself, you're bettering customer service, unfortunately.
00:24:28
Thomas Lorenzo
You're also cutting employments and jobs. So what's going to happen is companies might start seeing bigger margins on profit, but we might have a problem when it comes to jobs.
00:24:40
Eduardo Lorenzo
But that's already happening.
00:24:41
Thomas Lorenzo
And that's what we're going to talk about.
00:24:41
Eduardo Lorenzo
There's a lot of layoffs because people's job is being replaced by AI.

Upcoming Guests and Topics

00:24:46
Eduardo Lorenzo
So in essence, what you're trying to say is that no matter your industry, no matter your age, start learning AI.
00:24:53
Thomas Lorenzo
i don't i don't Well, I'm going to leave that for a podcast. i don't think I don't think that's the answer either because the idea behind AI is to orchestrate and automate more more of the processes.
00:24:58
Eduardo Lorenzo
Okay.
00:25:08
Thomas Lorenzo
So I don't need people. and and that's And that's where the challenge comes.
00:25:10
Eduardo Lorenzo
But sometimes you need people behind the technology. upp You may not need as many people, but...
00:25:14
Thomas Lorenzo
Yeah, please.
00:25:17
Thomas Lorenzo
But that's that's where the problem comes. if If you have something which you don't need to operate it, like I'll give you and next a quick and example very very fast so we jump off topic.
00:25:28
Thomas Lorenzo
But if you go to manufacturing, back in the day, you would go to see Ford building their cars. There are easily 1,500, 2,500 people working at the plant.
00:25:37
Eduardo Lorenzo
Right.
00:25:42
Thomas Lorenzo
Nowadays, you'll probably see 20. And the grand major majority is being built by robots and conveyor belts, automated and such.
00:25:51
Eduardo Lorenzo
Yeah.
00:25:53
Thomas Lorenzo
So the same thing going happen with AI. And the problem is, yeah, once once you fill out those those jobs, then what's going happen with the mass production of people?
00:26:05
Thomas Lorenzo
And and I think that's where the challenge is. and and And we'll talk about that as we go in the podcast in future interviews. But there's conversations talking about all types of things such as universal income, finding maybe new jobs or or new positions, or how we're going to recreate the economy moving forward.
00:26:29
Eduardo Lorenzo
Gotcha. Gotcha. On that front, just to move on, like you said, from this topic very, very quick. and And this might be a good topic as far as just a pocket salon on it.
00:26:44
Eduardo Lorenzo
Are small businesses and mid businesses in trouble? Is this just, you know, enterprise level or Does that make sense, what I just asked you?
00:26:56
Thomas Lorenzo
Yeah, it does. It does. So the the answer is not as simple. um Should they be in trouble? No, because when you're small, you're more flexible to make changes. The problem is you might not have the expertise or you might not have the budget to make moves as quick.
00:27:19
Thomas Lorenzo
There you might find some some issues. um But bigger... Companies can't just make a change to make a change. There's a lot of, I guess, regulations that go around that. There's a lot of cultural things that need to go around that. so But they do have the budget.
00:27:42
Thomas Lorenzo
They do have the capabilities. So I guess they they'll both experience a little turbulence as they go. I'll leave it at that.
00:27:50
Eduardo Lorenzo
I gotcha. So a couple of things then. it AI, business, budgeting, finance, travel, culture, some geopolitical issues, right?
00:28:03
Thomas Lorenzo
Right.
00:28:06
Eduardo Lorenzo
Small business growth, entrepreneurship or or enterprise, you know so show to say. A lot of the stuff will be discussed between your guests but you're also going have some solo episodes, which is a little bit unique. ah What you going to be doing?
00:28:24
Thomas Lorenzo
That's right. That's right. Actually, want to I want to push more towards my guests. I'll give you some examples of who's coming on the program. So my first guest has already been coordinated.
00:28:33
Eduardo Lorenzo
Okay.
00:28:38
Thomas Lorenzo
She is the number one home stager in Florida. She's won awards. She's a home designer. And she's going to talk about how she built and ran her company to get where she's been.
00:28:53
Thomas Lorenzo
She's now internationally internationally known.
00:28:55
Eduardo Lorenzo
Can't wait. Can't wait for it.
00:28:57
Thomas Lorenzo
So I think you guys are going to be interested about that topic because not only is she going to give us her experience, how she got there, But if you're thinking about buying a home, if you're thinking about selling a home, she's going to help you with tips that are going to maximize or optimize your your dollars. So that's definitely going to be a great um podcast. And then um I'm going to have also the CIO of a major bank in Guyana.
00:29:27
Thomas Lorenzo
And I love this topic because we read everywhere.
00:29:27
Eduardo Lorenzo
Right.
00:29:32
Thomas Lorenzo
Like you were saying, you can Google information and you're going find thousand topics. But hearing from the mouth of a CIO, what's the trends? What are the challenges? What are they looking for?
00:29:43
Thomas Lorenzo
How they do it? How he got there? um And what he sees in the future, that's invaluable. Like that's that's information that you're you're going to be able to hear firsthand and understand firsthand.
00:29:57
Thomas Lorenzo
If you're even a vendor and you want to sell into CIOs, you're going to be able to listen to him, what he looks for when he's looking for trusted vendors for work.
00:30:08
Eduardo Lorenzo
Which is extremely important because obviously nowadays that's the key. Is it not? Like, Hey, you're walking into anybody, try to sell something and somebody just left the office, you know, trying to sell me something.
00:30:14
Thomas Lorenzo
That's right.
00:30:20
Eduardo Lorenzo
Why am I buying from you?
00:30:22
Thomas Lorenzo
Yep. Yep. So you're going to be listening to that. um and just like that, there's so many other topics. And like I said, your success is not predicated by your size. Um, so we're going to have small business owners. We're going to have medium

Focus on Authentic Conversations

00:30:38
Thomas Lorenzo
size enterprise. Um, one of the small owners that's going to be coming online, um, and talking to us, um,
00:30:46
Thomas Lorenzo
She is the owner of an eyelash studio, and she's doing so awesome that it's not just about creating the eyelashes. Now she's also giving classes worldwide. In January, actually, she's going to be in Ireland giving classes on how to do eyelashes.
00:31:07
Thomas Lorenzo
Like this is incredible. um So we want to hear her story, how she got there, what's what's making her different in her market. So, again, these these are topics that I'm pretty sure the audience going to be interested in, because not only can we copy their success, we can avoid maybe challenges that they've already passed through.
00:31:28
Eduardo Lorenzo
Okay. And so um gotta to be honest, man, I've been doing this with you for a little bit. We, I've been participating with all the other podcasts that you have.
00:31:39
Eduardo Lorenzo
I'm extremely proud of the work that you're putting out there. The type of knowledge that is being, that the people are also being brought together from different sources, man, like you just mentioned it, and from different parts of the world also, and just chiming in and talking about their experience, what they look at as a either a consumer or as a business, and then kind of like giving those those little nuggets for us to also understand a little bit of it.
00:31:54
Thomas Lorenzo
Yep. Right.
00:32:02
Thomas Lorenzo
right
00:32:08
Eduardo Lorenzo
Well, we did...
00:32:08
Thomas Lorenzo
It's people that people that know their craft. um they They know what they're talking about. Like I said, they they've already passed through a fire to get where they are. So they're going to help us try to avoid the fire.
00:32:22
Thomas Lorenzo
um
00:32:23
Eduardo Lorenzo
Yeah.
00:32:23
Thomas Lorenzo
So I think it's a good lesson. um I think it's important also to say, um just just from my perspective, right, in all these topics, I we'll We'll probably talk about politics, right? But there's no real politics behind it. There's no agenda. um I'm actually a centrist, so i'm I'm not in favor or against anybody.
00:32:47
Thomas Lorenzo
So you're going to hear it.
00:32:48
Eduardo Lorenzo
I was about to ask you that, look like, what are these little, because we talked earlier about certain differences, why this show might be different than others, but I was going to go into this specific right now.
00:32:49
Thomas Lorenzo
both Yeah.
00:32:56
Thomas Lorenzo
Right.
00:33:01
Eduardo Lorenzo
ah
00:33:01
Thomas Lorenzo
Yeah.
00:33:01
Eduardo Lorenzo
So just just carry on.
00:33:04
Thomas Lorenzo
Yeah, no, we'll we'll go right through the middle because I think that's where success lives. um Anything that goes.
00:33:11
Eduardo Lorenzo
But politics do affect the outcome of a lot of these economic decisions, especially at a higher level.
00:33:13
Thomas Lorenzo
It does.
00:33:17
Eduardo Lorenzo
That trickles down.
00:33:17
Thomas Lorenzo
that's It does.
00:33:19
Eduardo Lorenzo
It's a trickle down effect that obviously affects everybody else.
00:33:22
Thomas Lorenzo
It does, but this is not the first and won't be the last time that politics plays a major role in world events. It's just learning how to navigate it.
00:33:29
Eduardo Lorenzo
Right.
00:33:31
Thomas Lorenzo
So once once you get the hang of it, the understanding, um if you're willing to listen, if you're willing to learn, we're going to simplify it for you.
00:33:44
Eduardo Lorenzo
I like that. um So we can say real talk, keeping it simple, right?
00:33:54
Eduardo Lorenzo
Some things like that. I'm excited about it. um All right. So let me see how I put this. Trying to find the specific wording because you, yeah, no, because, well, you've you've mentioned
00:34:05
Thomas Lorenzo
I get scared when he started looking for the wording. the wording yeah
00:34:13
Eduardo Lorenzo
things why it's different you mentioned some stuff that's going to be digged in and I like that and I can understand where there's some core differences um between perhaps other programs or just the main purpose with online today but if you had if you can sum it up into just one simple thing um that we can all take from today what's the message with online today
00:34:40
Thomas Lorenzo
i Yeah, I think you you hit it on the nail. Real talk. We're just going to talk it. by experts, by people that are knowledgeable in their craft.
00:34:52
Thomas Lorenzo
um And we're just going to have conversations. And the first thing you'll you'll learn and you'll see is I'm not a screamer. um I'm not going to say things or do things for clicks or likes. That's that's not what we're looking for.
00:35:08
Thomas Lorenzo
It's just real conversations. We might get heated. Because there will be topics like relationships, for example. I definitely want to have that conversation. So anytime you talk about girls and boys, it gets heated.
00:35:22
Thomas Lorenzo
um But you'll get the truth. yeah
00:35:28
Eduardo Lorenzo
yeah Man, I had a thought process. i don't want to have you canceled.
00:35:33
Thomas Lorenzo
Cancel first, the first chapter.
00:35:36
Eduardo Lorenzo
Hey, listen, ladies and gentlemen, you heard it here first. It's about real talk, expertise, real explanations. um Apparently no drama, depending on the topic.
00:35:48
Thomas Lorenzo
There will be drama, I think, in some places.
00:35:50
Eduardo Lorenzo
Right? Yeah, okay. Well, we'll see.
00:35:51
Thomas Lorenzo
Yeah.
00:35:52
Eduardo Lorenzo
ah The idea is for people... that listen to the podcast to be able to move forward and say, Hey man, I learned something right now.
00:36:01
Thomas Lorenzo
That's right.
00:36:02
Eduardo Lorenzo
I know something and not feel as overwhelmed as we are when we're looking for information, let's say online, and need to search something and you're clicking.
00:36:13
Eduardo Lorenzo
It's so much, it's sometimes so contradictory because it's, it's, If you do this, great. If you do it no. If you do it, yes. You know, coming from a fitness aspect, right? they Don't do that exercise. Yes, do that exercise. Don't eat this. Yes, you can eat that. It's so sometimes confusing.
00:36:29
Eduardo Lorenzo
But at the same time, you can pinpoint, well, it affects this population, but it doesn't affect everybody else. So you have to take certain things.
00:36:35
Thomas Lorenzo
Right. Right.
00:36:37
Eduardo Lorenzo
Usually, you know, um... it's more specific to you, right? It's more specific to me. And then, but there's some, there's some elements. I always tell people when, when it comes to like fitness,
00:36:50
Eduardo Lorenzo
There's methods. There's 100 methods for everything. Principles are very few, right? So there's a core basic about things that you cannot bypass. Eat well, exercise, move more, try to get some sleep.
00:37:03
Eduardo Lorenzo
Boom, you're there. Now, what type of exercise? Well, you like to walk, you like to run. That's okay. I like to be on the bike. Somebody's going to do strength training six days a week. I do yoga and strength training once week. You see what I'm saying?
00:37:14
Eduardo Lorenzo
There are a thousand methods where you can get to something, but the core principles are still actually the same.
00:37:15
Thomas Lorenzo
Yep.
00:37:20
Eduardo Lorenzo
It feels like online today, and now I hope that made sense for the people who are listening, but it feels like online today when it comes to these type of topics, this is what you're trying to do.
00:37:30
Eduardo Lorenzo
Like, yeah yo, man, just listen ah from the real experts, from the real experts.
00:37:32
Thomas Lorenzo
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You have to understand the world that we're living, this digital world, that's very, I'm going to call it manipulated when it comes to information.
00:37:44
Thomas Lorenzo
So most of the information are running on algorithms in the back.
00:37:44
Eduardo Lorenzo
Yeah. Yeah.
00:37:49
Thomas Lorenzo
So you get the information. They understand that you want to listen to, that you want to validate your opinion. um I want to get you away from that in in these conversations. I want you to come to the middle. Sometimes they're going to be topics you don't agree on, opinion you don't agree on. But if you listen and you listen enough, it might help you because it'll help you expand your point of view, your understanding of things. um And maybe your life can change around when when we get information from people that have been successful.

Official Launch and Engagement Invitation

00:38:25
Thomas Lorenzo
and we actually listen to how they became successful, that rubs off us as well.
00:38:33
Eduardo Lorenzo
Perfect, man. You can't have said it any better. um I'm not sure. so this podcast, hey, let's start with this because i think we kind of covered the essence of what online today is going to be, right?
00:38:47
Eduardo Lorenzo
Boom. where it's headed, when when is it going to be showcased? When do people can expect to listen?
00:38:55
Thomas Lorenzo
Okay.
00:38:57
Eduardo Lorenzo
you know Just take us through that and kind of you know take us through it.
00:39:00
Thomas Lorenzo
Sure, sure. That's a great question. So we're launching in January 2026. twenty six You'll probably get this episode before that just to get people in in in the mood, in the process.
00:39:07

Thomas Lorenzo
