Introduction to Moses

00:00:03
Speaker
All right, so you're very welcome to Discipleship, Volume Two, Part Seven. It is absolutely insane to think that we're already this far into it.
00:00:20
Speaker
and It feels like only yesterday i was canceling episode one, and that's because one, I was having technical issues, and two, I had explosive diarrhea when I just come back from Pakistan.
00:00:32
Speaker
um And then a week later, then we actually had part one.

Moses' Unique Encounters

00:00:37
Speaker
um So today we're going to be looking at a super special awesome amazing hero in the Bible.
00:00:45
Speaker
whose name is Moses. And you'll be happy to hear we're finally in the book of Exodus, the second book of the Bible. The first six lessons, we were in Genesis. And like I told you, once start looking at Genesis, I find it very hard to get out of Genesis because it's my favorite book in the Bible. Once I start it, I find it very hard to get out because I just love Genesis so much.
00:01:10
Speaker
But Exodus is the second book in the Bible. and Now Moses would have experiences with the Lord, unlike anyone had had before.
00:01:22
Speaker
And to this day, it's unlike any that anyone's had since. Just phenomenal. And the number of times that he met Jesus in the Old Testament.
00:01:34
Speaker
Oh my goodness. It was phenomenal.
00:01:39
Speaker
innumerable. He would see the Lord face to face, and then he'd see him face-to- face to face up a mountain, and he'd see him face to face inside a tent, and face to face inside a tent.
00:01:50
Speaker
He just kept seeing Jesus anywhere he looked. He even saw Jesus in a bush.

Moses' Early Life and Mission

00:01:54
Speaker
What was he doing in the bush? Good question. And the encounters that he had were just so profound and so phenomenal.
00:02:05
Speaker
And Moses was actually the one who was given the revelation of the first five books of the Bible. He was the one who the Lord spoke to and said, hey, i want you to write all these adventures down.
00:02:16
Speaker
The first one's called Genesis. Start with in the beginning. And the Lord would speak and Moses would scribble it all down. And they are the first five books of the Bible. You got Genesis, Exodus, yeah Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.
00:02:33
Speaker
We're not going to get through all his encounters with Jesus and those five books just today. Instead, I'm breaking Moses into three parts. Today, going to look at the first 80 years of his life.
00:02:48
Speaker
So between zero and 80, which is basically the The journey of getting his people out of slavery and into freedom.
00:03:01
Speaker
Next week, we're going to look at 40 years of his life in which the people were in the wilderness on the walk of the journey towards freedom.
00:03:13
Speaker
And after that, we're going to have a look at Leviticus. Leviticus has a bad reputation just because God gives rules and people don't like following them.
00:03:26
Speaker
Or God talks about architecture and design and um how he wants attentive meetings to look where can be with his people. And if you're not into architecture, you're bit like, meh, very dismissive.
00:03:41
Speaker
If you're not really into art, people go... Because they don't really care about attention to detail. But actually all those furnishings and and the the structure, the archaeology, the architecture, the the the patterns, the colours, they all speak to the character of Jesus.
00:04:03
Speaker
So today, the first 80 years of Moses' life. Next week, the final 40 years of his life. And the third week, we're going to do an exploration on Leviticus, looking at the Tent of Meeting, a place that he's structured where people could have encounters with the Lord.
00:04:21
Speaker
And I'm going to talk to you about why it was important, the way it looked and what was in it. And again, Leviticus has a bad reputation among believers.
00:04:32
Speaker
Just because some them are bit too lazy to re-look into it and just actually say, okay, how does this point to Jesus? How is this important about the person of God, the God-man?

Promises and Plagues

00:04:44
Speaker
a As always, if you would like more information on Moses' life, and you can get the Bible study version, which costs 10 euros after this.
00:04:57
Speaker
after this as with all the other Bible studies, where it goes into more information than what going to share on the screen. All right. So we're going to start off in Genesis chapter 15.
00:05:12
Speaker
fifty Genesis 15, verses 13 to 16. to sixty So we looked at Abraham a couple of weeks ago in lots of detail.
00:05:24
Speaker
In Genesis 15, 13 to 16, thirteen to sixteen Abraham gets a prophecy from Jesus, which is about the life of Moses.
00:05:36
Speaker
And in that, this is what the Lord says. Then the Lord said to Abraham, know for certain.
00:05:45
Speaker
Doesn't care if there's any confusion. It's not a maybe, it's a definitely. Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own. Egypt.
00:05:58
Speaker
and they will be enslaved and mistreated for a hundred years.
00:06:05
Speaker
Know for a certain that your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own, and they'll be enslaved and mistreated for hundred years. Now, some people read that as though his pi descendants would be slaves for a hundred years. That's not the case.
00:06:20
Speaker
Think of the slavery part like it's in brackets. Okay? Know for a certain that your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own for 400 years. And then, like you know, parentheses, by the way, they'll spend part of that time as slaves.
00:06:35
Speaker
That's how it actually reads.
00:06:39
Speaker
But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will come out with great possessions, great wealth, great money. You, however, will go to your fathers in peace.
00:06:53
Speaker
He's on to Abraham now. saying, Abraham, you will not live in this country and be buried at a good old age. In the fourth generation, your descendants will come back here for the sin of the Amorites has not yet reached its full measure.
00:07:10
Speaker
So the Lord is talking to Abraham in the land of Canaan, the promised land. And he's saying, your descendants will go to the country. Last week, we saw with Joseph, that was Egypt.
00:07:23
Speaker
Joseph and his brothers were in Egypt. They're going stay there for four centuries. Part of that time, they'll be slaves. But I will avenge them.
00:07:35
Speaker
I'm going to punish the Egyptians. And they're going to come back and they're going to live in the promised land.

The Red Sea and Wilderness Journey

00:07:42
Speaker
But you, Abraham, you're not going go to Egypt. You will not be a slave.
00:07:48
Speaker
You're going to die before all this happens. That's what he's saying.
00:07:54
Speaker
All this came to pass in Exodus chapter 1. In Exodus chapter 1, the Hebrews, or the Israelites, Abraham the descendants, I'm going to call them the Hebrews today because that's what they're typically called at this time of their life.
00:08:14
Speaker
They had been in Egypt. And this is when the slavery begins.
00:08:22
Speaker
Exodus 1 verse 8. Then a new king, who did not know about Joseph, our hero from last week, came to power in Egypt. Look, he said to his people, the Israelites have become much too numerous for us.
00:08:41
Speaker
Come, we must deal shrewdly with them, or they will become even more numerous, and if war breaks out, we'll join our enemies, fight against us, and leave the country.
00:08:55
Speaker
Okay, there was like literally no reason whatsoever that he should have believed this. The Israelites had not caused him any harm, any difficulty, any drama. This is paranoia, or he's just looking for an excuse to be nasty.
00:09:10
Speaker
So they put slave masters over them to oppress them and with forced labor. And they built Pitam and Ramesses as store cities for Pharaoh.
00:09:21
Speaker
But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and spread. So the Egyptians came to dread the Israelites and worked them ruthlessly.
00:09:32
Speaker
They put the pressure in God's people, so God blesses people even more. The more God blessed his people, the more the enemy feared and despised them. They made their lives bitter with hard labor in brick and mortar and with all kinds of work in the fields.
00:09:50
Speaker
In all their hard labor, the Egyptians used them ruthlessly.
00:09:57
Speaker
And then, just to really stopped them from multiplying and reproducing and being so blessed as a nation.
00:10:08
Speaker
Pharaoh had the right idea that if and when the Hebrew women gave birth to a baby boy, those boys were to be murdered.
00:10:22
Speaker
It was mass infanticide.
00:10:26
Speaker
Now again, some people teach it that this was happening for 400 years. It didn't. This started very soon before Moses was born. And we're actually told in Acts 7, 17, at the time drew near for God to fulfill his promise to Abraham to rescue the Israelites from bondage, Acts 7, 17,
00:10:55
Speaker
the number of our people in Egypt greatly increased. Okay, so not 400 years earlier, near the time of Moses' birth when the Deliverer was coming.
00:11:07
Speaker
Then another king, who knew nothing about Joseph, became the ruler of Egypt. He dealt treacherously with our people and oppressed our forefathers by forcing them to throw out their newborn babies so they would die.
00:11:22
Speaker
At that time, Moses was born and he was no ordinary child. Moses was not 400 years old. So this is near the end of this of this period.
00:11:35
Speaker
In total, they were probably slaves for no longer than 100 years. Yes, I know that's massive. But there's a big difference between 100 and 400.
00:11:46
Speaker
For three months, he was cared for in his father's house. And when he was placed outside... Pharaoh's daughter took him and brought him up as her own son.
00:11:56
Speaker
So basically what happened was his parents gave birth to him. Well, his mother gave birth to him. And she puts him in a basket. She pushed the basket down the river an aisle prayerfully. She wasn't a bad mother. She did it prayerfully, knowing he was special, knowing that there was a call in his life.
00:12:16
Speaker
And the Lord guided the basket all the way to Pharaoh's daughter as she was bathing in the River and Nile. She picked up the basket, saw the baby inside, and decided that she would raise the child as her own.
00:12:34
Speaker
Again, Moses was not 400 years old. The Bible tells us he died aged 120. So they weren't slaves for four centuries. The slavery began just before Moses was born.
00:12:47
Speaker
And we actually can prove this because his brother Aaron was three years older than him. So either the Egyptians were just really bad at killing children, really find it difficult to find babies and outrun the babies and kill the babies, or kill the baby boys, blah, came into place after Aaron was born, before Moses was born.
00:13:11
Speaker
So there you have it. If someone tells you that they were slaves for 400 years, now you can prove to them that they're wrong. So Moses grew up in the palace.
00:13:23
Speaker
He grew up learning the ways of the Egyptians. He grew up in splendor. He grew up in wealth. He grew up in prosperity.
00:13:34
Speaker
He grew up in privilege.
00:13:38
Speaker
Well, the Bible tells us that there came a day when he had it in his heart to return to his people.
00:13:49
Speaker
This means that in his heart, he said, you know what?
00:13:54
Speaker
I identify with the slaves. In his heart, he said, i will actually walk away from every cent that my father owns, well, my stepfather owns, and I'm willing to take up a life of slavery, of bondage, of of poverty.
00:14:17
Speaker
I'm willing to walk away from wealth for the people who have nothing. I'm willing to walk away from all I've ever known for something risky, something that may not go very well for me.
00:14:36
Speaker
That sounds a lot like Jesus, doesn't it? Jesus is the king of the world of heaven. Heaven's a planet and you can just bet this is the place where Jesus lives. It is fun. It's full of worship. It's full of joy. It's full excitement.
00:14:52
Speaker
And yet he left it all to come to a world of slavery, a world in bondage to sin. Moses is a picture of Jesus.
00:15:03
Speaker
However, here's where the stories differ a little bit. In Exodus chapter 2, verse 11, it says, One day, after Moses had grown up, he went out to where his people were and watched them at their hard labor.
00:15:22
Speaker
He wasn't having a good time watching, we know this. He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his own people, and he knew it.
00:15:33
Speaker
There came a point, 40 years of age, he just knew, i am not in Egyptian. I'm a Jew. I'm a Hebrew. I'm an Israelite. one of these guys. He is beating up my people.
00:15:47
Speaker
Glancing this way. And that way. And seeing no one. Now just because you can't see someone does not mean they can't see you. Hello.
00:15:59
Speaker
He killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. He murdered the slave driver and buried him. The next day he went out and saw two Hebrews fighting.
00:16:12
Speaker
He asked the one in the wrong, imagine living in Bible times and the only time you feature it in the Bible, no one knows your name, Holy Spirit, don't bother to give your name.
00:16:24
Speaker
He just calls you the one in the wrong. The one who started the trouble. The drama queen. The drama king. The one with the bad attitude. Imagine that's your reputation for like all of time and space.
00:16:40
Speaker
The one who was in the wrong. yeah the and Why are you hitting your fellow Hebrew? What are you doing? You're one people. This is not, this is crazy. You're supposed to work together, people. Hello.
00:16:52
Speaker
You have a common enemy. It's not each other. Spoiler alert.
00:16:58
Speaker
The man said, who made you ruler and judge over us? Ouch. Are you thinking of killing me as you kill the Egyptian?
00:17:10
Speaker
Then Moses was afraid and thought, what I did must have become known. Now either he was seen killing the Egyptian or burying the Egyptian, or the person that he rescued betrayed him.
00:17:25
Speaker
And said, you know, I wish I were a prince of Egypt. Why? Why would you like to be a prince who worships demons? Because then I could kill anyone I wanted and get away with it.
00:17:37
Speaker
What do you mean? Let me tell you. It was one of those two scenarios. Someone one saw him. Or the guy he rescued betrayed him.
00:17:49
Speaker
And again, we can see a parallel to Jesus here. where Moses came as a hero. He had in his mind, identify with the with the the victims. I'm gonna liberate the victims. gonna save the victims.
00:18:05
Speaker
And he did. and they vilified him. Who made you judge and rule? Who told you that you could judge us? Who told you you could so you could condemn us? That you could have a say over how I live my life?
00:18:21
Speaker
Isn't that exactly what they said to Jesus? Jesus left the world of heaven to be a Jew, to be a Hebrew, to be an Israelite. And, you know, we just celebrated Resurrection Sunday. And the whole point of Resurrection Sunday is Pontius Pilate said, I can give

Lessons from Rebellion

00:18:39
Speaker
you a murderer, an insurrectionist, or I can release Jesus, King of the Jews.
00:18:46
Speaker
And the Pharisee, the pharsy religious people said, well, the murderer will keep his mouth shut. The holy man will tell us that we're sinners. Release the murderer.
00:18:57
Speaker
The murderer won't judge us. The holy man will. The holy man will point out our sin. The murderer won't because he's just one of us. And they chose a murderer over the one who would actually say, you're a hypocrite.
00:19:10
Speaker
You're a viper. You're a liar. You're a cheat.
00:19:17
Speaker
They rejected the one who came to save them. Both times. Moses the deliverer, and Jesus the deliverer. Now again, notice this.
00:19:29
Speaker
Acts chapter 7 said, when the time was very near for Abraham's word to be fulfilled, the punishment of the Egyptians, the rescue from Egypt, coming to the promised land, when the time was near, that's when Pharaoh began killing the baby boys.
00:19:47
Speaker
That's when the slavery began. So this tells us that the time for Israelites to be spared, to be rescued, to be delivered, was near.
00:20:01
Speaker
When Moses came and killed that Egyptian, the time for the Israelites to get delivered from bondage was close. It was this close. It was days or weeks away, maybe months away, nothing else.
00:20:15
Speaker
They could have left Egypt, potentially, within a month or two. Egypt could have had its plagues and come crumbling down there and then. And they would left with sacks full of money.
00:20:29
Speaker
But that didn't happen. They condemned their deliverer. They hated their deliverer. They despised their deliverer. So he ran. Moses ran away into the desert, into exile, self-exile, and he stayed there for four decades.
00:20:48
Speaker
He hid in the wilderness, and for 40 years. Their destiny was this close, but they would not have it.
00:21:02
Speaker
We saw a similarity to this last week. Remember last week, we were looking at the seven years when Jacob could have gotten his one true love, that hit his bride, but then his uncle Laban was like, mwahaha, culture!
00:21:21
Speaker
And it got pushed back seven years before he worked up the debts, paid off his debt to be with Rachel. Or with Jesus.
00:21:34
Speaker
Between John the Baptist, three and a half year ministry, and Jesus, three and a half year ministry, seven years where the nation of Israel could have been saved. But they beheaded John the Baptist and nailed Jesus to a tree. They hunted and killed the 12, or at least some of the 12.
00:21:51
Speaker
And instead of getting the millennial kingdom, the kingdom where Jesus the king for a thousand years, you have a gap of 2,000 years. Their destiny got snatched, got stolen for a later time.
00:22:04
Speaker
This is what happens here. Moses was supposed to deliver the people of Egypt, age 40. No, he wasn't. so The people of Israel from Egypt, age 40.
00:22:16
Speaker
But they didn't want us So it got pushed back. 40 years.
00:22:24
Speaker
Then when he was 80, we meet him again. Here he's in the desert in Exodus chapter 3. It
00:22:40
Speaker
says, Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro, his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.
00:22:55
Speaker
There, the angel of the Lord. The angel of the Lord. This is not, you know what? Angel. This is the messenger of the Lord. The capital A angel.
00:23:07
Speaker
We've seen this guy before. Where? in our study on Abraham couple weeks ago. who is the capital A angel of the Lord, the messenger the Lord, it's Jesus.
00:23:20
Speaker
There, Jesus appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush.
00:23:29
Speaker
Moses saw that though the bush was on fire, it did not burn up. So he thought, I will go over and see this strange sight. Why the bush does not burn up.
00:23:41
Speaker
Sounds like Fairly okay decision. That's that's acceptable. When the Lord saw that he'd gone over to look, God called to him from in the bush. So God is the messenger in the bush. God is the angel of the bush.
00:23:57
Speaker
And Moses looking in and he sees a face looking at him. John 1.18 says no one had ever seen God the Father. So this is Jesus. This God is Jesus looking through him.
00:24:09
Speaker
And says, is hes um moes says And Here I am. How did you get in there? but but but Now, I was reading this last week.
00:24:25
Speaker
And there are two kinds of Bible teacher. There are Bible teachers who read the Bible and they say, Yes, Lord. Amen. Lord, thank you for your word, Lord.
00:24:37
Speaker
And then there are teachers like me who bush. What kind of bush? but but Maybe it's because I'm an author and I just love details.
00:24:48
Speaker
But I decided, do I think? The next thought I had was, God, I bet I was willing to bet money. I was like, like you as if God were going to hold me to that. you know It's like, if I'm wrong, I'll give money to charity.
00:25:04
Speaker
I was willing to bet money that this had something to do with the passion of the Christ. Something to do with Easter. Something to with Resurrection Sunday. I was convinced. Convinced. So I decided that I would look up the word bush in Hebrew.
00:25:21
Speaker
And the word bush in Hebrew is the Hebrew word senna. Someone might watch this on YouTube later and say but seeation that's what I'm calling it. Senna.
00:25:33
Speaker
And Senna means a blackberry yeah thorn bush. A blackberry thorn bush.
00:25:47
Speaker
So Moses is talking to Jesus face to face. And Jesus' head...
00:25:58
Speaker
is in a bush and it's a thorn bush. He can see Jesus' face and all around Jesus' face there are thorns.
00:26:14
Speaker
Hello. We just celebrated

Passover's Deeper Symbolism

00:26:17
Speaker
Resurrection Sunday. We just celebrated la Passion last week. How do thorns fit into this?
00:26:26
Speaker
Because for every wicked thought, vain imagining, carnal, fleshly, reprobate imagination you've ever had. Anytime you're at the bus stop with a woman in her 90s and you thought I could push her in front of a bus and no one would know it was me.
00:26:48
Speaker
Anytime your family were driving you crazy and you said there are five sharp knives in the drawer, there are no witnesses. but but thats Every time that's ever gone through your head.
00:27:02
Speaker
Thorns are put in his head as punishment for those thoughts. Anytime I ever thought something wicked or selfish or profane or thought that I was so superior and others were so inferior, Jamie's laughing. Thank you. I knew that joke was edgy. Now I feel somewhat reassured. It was funny. I see Anne-Catherine smiling too. It's good for my self-esteem, ladies. I appreciate that.
00:27:27
Speaker
Anytime i've ever thought anything lewd, licentious, anytime God's kids have driven me crazy, and I'm telling you, God's kids drive me nuts sometimes. I love them to bits, but they drive me nuts.
00:27:41
Speaker
And I just thought, God, I'm just absolutely not. For every one of those sins, thorns were put in his head. He took the punishment on our behalf.
00:27:55
Speaker
And yet Moses looks at him the very first time Moses ever sees Jesus. And it's his face with thorns all around his head.
00:28:06
Speaker
It's profound. It's amazing. I hope that that excites you as much as it excited me.
00:28:14
Speaker
i know that I'm just jumping from scene to scene here. I do encourage you to read all of Exodus. In fact, all of Moses' story. It just gets better and better and better, more and more exciting.
00:28:27
Speaker
But the rest of chapter three and four is basically Jesus trying to persuade Moses to come back to Egypt 40 years late and deliver the people from bondage and to say, listen,
00:28:45
Speaker
they've I've got a destiny for them. i've got a promised land for them. I've got a place for them. got destination for them. Come on, Moses, lead my people. He expresses one or two concerns about Pharaoh and the Egyptians.
00:29:02
Speaker
Most of the concerns that he expresses are about God's people. What if God's people reject me? What if God's people don't accept me What if God's people ask me questions I can't answer?
00:29:18
Speaker
What if God's people this? What if God's people that? And isn't that a sober
00:29:27
Speaker
actualization that even we have to contend with? Yes, we have evil enemies in the political sphere, in the media sphere, in the entertainment sphere, in society, in your own household, perhaps, in your community, perhaps, big social problems.
00:29:45
Speaker
But his number one fear was God's people. What if God's people reject me? They had rejected him 40 years earlier. What if they do it again?
00:29:57
Speaker
And what
00:30:02
Speaker
humongous number of destinies get stolen and unfulfilled by fear of God's people. That pastor won't like me anymore.
00:30:14
Speaker
They won't talk to me anymore. They'll reject me. They won't let me go to their Bible study group. I remember the very first time I ever taught the word of God to an audience of adults.
00:30:26
Speaker
A woman sat in the front row. My teaching was that God loves women and empowers women and wants women to release the word. a woman sat in the front row and said, be careful. Shut me down. i was like, lady, I'm doing this for you.
00:30:41
Speaker
And the funny thing is she had preached the word of God a week earlier, but she had a problem with me saying that it was okay. um i remember teaching a church, teaching in a church once on heaven and angel.
00:30:55
Speaker
And I was told never to speak about heaven ever again on that property. i was like, this is church. it's like you want people to go to heaven, but you don't want them to know what's there.
00:31:08
Speaker
Really? That's what the 21st century body Christ has become. Fear of God's people. But eventually Moses bows the knee to the Lord Jesus to us as we all have to eventually. And he says, okay, whatever you say, I'll do.
00:31:25
Speaker
You tell me to go I'll go. And therefore he decides to go back

Journey to Freedom and Reflections

00:31:31
Speaker
to the people.
00:31:36
Speaker
So he returns to Egypt and with his journey back to Egypt. And a look at Exodus chapter six now, verses six to seven.
00:31:53
Speaker
Exodus chapter six, verses six to seven.
00:32:05
Speaker
The Lord gives him some promises.
00:32:10
Speaker
And the Lord says, therefore, say to the Israelites, say to my people, say to the Hebrews, say to slaves. I am the Lord and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians.
00:32:27
Speaker
I will free you from being slaves to them. And I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment. I will take you as my own people and I will be your God.
00:32:46
Speaker
Then you will know that I am the Lord who brought you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians.
00:32:58
Speaker
It's an incredible set of promises.
00:33:06
Speaker
This is exactly what would happen. The Lord would afflict the Egyptians with plagues. We'll look at those in a moment. He would set his people free and bring them to the promised land, a land overflowing with milk and honey, the land that Joseph from last week had originally come from when he was sold into slavery.
00:33:29
Speaker
And he would restore and redeem the people of Israel. They would become his people.
00:33:39
Speaker
Every year there would be ah an event, a feast called the Passover. And they would have what we call communion. And they would commemorate these four promises.
00:33:51
Speaker
I know communion for us is a bit of bread and you know a glass of you know grape juice or fruit juice because... Or or or alcohol or if you want to substitute you have a cracker and water or whatever you want to have. Something.
00:34:08
Speaker
A physical, something liquid, something for the body of Christ, a picture of the blood of Christ.
00:34:15
Speaker
But at the Passover event, you would eat the bread four times. You would eat you'd drink the cup four times. And they would commemorate these promises that the Lord Jesus made to Moses.
00:34:31
Speaker
Even at the Last Supper. but Jesus was remembering having this conversation with Moses. At the Last Supper, they had the big slices of bread that they were eating and they would take four cups and they would remember these amazing promises that Jesus had given to Moses centuries beforehand.
00:34:55
Speaker
The first cup that they would drink was called the cup of sanctification. Salvation is getting saved. Sanctification is the process of the Lord making you more and more and more and more and more and more like him as time goes on.
00:35:12
Speaker
So in the first cup, they would say, i will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians.
00:35:22
Speaker
And they would drink.
00:35:26
Speaker
I will bring you out means I will fetch you. I will raise you surely. i will break you out. I'll spring you out.
00:35:37
Speaker
It means I will send you forth with commandments. I will release you, but I'm gonna give you my laws. I'm gonna tell you things I like and things I don't like.
00:35:48
Speaker
The Ten Commandments.
00:35:52
Speaker
And yoke, the yoke of the Egyptians. If you have two cows, And maybe you have a healthy cow. And you have a cow with a broken leg.
00:36:05
Speaker
But you're a farmer. You gotta make money. You would put a yoke between their two necks. It would be like a big wooden board. And their heads would stick out.
00:36:17
Speaker
This means they're yoked together. They're stuck together. Wherever the healthy cow goes, the smaller cow has to follow. The dominant one rules the roost.
00:36:29
Speaker
The dominant one is in charge. The dominant one is the slave driver. The dominant one is the oppressor who has put heavy burdens on the people.
00:36:42
Speaker
He's a tyrant. And the lower one, the weaker one is in enforced exploitation. There's harsh oversight to foot. There's psychological subjugation, physical brutality.
00:36:59
Speaker
They would call this cup the hot zetti.
00:37:04
Speaker
It marks the beginning of separation to be set apart from the darkness.
00:37:13
Speaker
And the Lord would rescue his people and deliver his people from the burden of slavery and bondage.
00:37:24
Speaker
Then at the Passover, the Last Supper, Even the one with Jesus and the Twelve, they would have another cup.
00:37:33
Speaker
And they call this one the cup of deliverance. The cup of judgment. And the cup of plagues. This is the second promise. I will free you from their bondage.
00:37:50
Speaker
I will free you from the Egyptians' bondage.
00:37:55
Speaker
To free... means I will rescue you. I will deliver you. I will defend you. i will recover you.
00:38:07
Speaker
I will aid you. i will rid you of the Egyptians. I will help you escape without fail. I'll spoil the Egyptians' plans for you.
00:38:23
Speaker
And they called this cup Hit Zalty.
00:38:29
Speaker
They were dealing with the physical labor and the bondage of being slaves. And the Lord did this through the 10 plagues of Egypt, in which he broke the Egyptians resolve.
00:38:44
Speaker
Then they talk, they eat, they pray, they have fun. And then they would have the third cup.
00:38:53
Speaker
The cup of redemption.
00:38:58
Speaker
This is the third promise. I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgment.
00:39:08
Speaker
To redeem means i will avenge you.
00:39:14
Speaker
i will ransom you.
00:39:19
Speaker
It means i will make you my closest relative. To the nation of Israel, That nation is called the bride of Christ. It's like Jesus was supernaturally married to them.
00:39:33
Speaker
But we're his body, the body of Christ. He calls us his children, citizens of the world of heaven. He supernaturally lives inside every one of us.
00:39:45
Speaker
Redeemed means i will purchase you because I want you. I'll purchase you because it's my desire to. I'll purchase you because I wish it.
00:39:59
Speaker
Imagine that. Jesus loves you so much. Not just this cold, abstract love. Well, I don't want her to go to hell. No, but he wants you.
00:40:11
Speaker
He desires you. His heart beats for you. he gets excited when he thinks about you. And you're always on his mind, by the way.
00:40:24
Speaker
I'll redeem you with an outstretched arm or great judgments. The word judgment there... means I will inflict wrath on the oppressor, and I will decisively give divine retribution.
00:40:38
Speaker
He would smite the Egyptians until they broke, until they would let God's people go.
00:40:48
Speaker
And they called this cup Gaelti.
00:40:55
Speaker
Now, normally when I read this verse, I pick i focus on redemption and the judgments. But actually yesterday, as i was reading, I'll redeem you with outstretched arm.
00:41:06
Speaker
It was just like the burning bush. Sometimes I'll just read up verse and I'll say, God, I need to know what every single word means in Hebrew. Why? i don't know. I'm not a Hebrew scholar. i don't pretend to be. I get my Hebrew translations from Bible Hub using the Google Chrome search engine.
00:41:25
Speaker
But just said, God, why an outstretched arm? Because I always pictured it like, you know, the Lord, you know, like punching. Because I'm karate kid, okay? And was you know, the Junzuki. um You know, punching the Egyptian.
00:41:39
Speaker
No.
00:41:42
Speaker
Outstretched arm is the hand going horizontally.
00:41:50
Speaker
Outstretched arm means this.
00:41:55
Speaker
spread out.
00:41:58
Speaker
And his arms were spread out on that cross.
00:42:03
Speaker
It means destruction. And he was destroyed on the cross so we could live.
00:42:16
Speaker
It means to deviate from the path of righteousness. Jesus never deviated. We did. but he took the blow.
00:42:29
Speaker
Outstretched arm somehow means rod. And when Jesus was in the garden of Gethsemane, we're told that guards came with clubs. They came with sticks to beat the living daylights out of him if he put up a fight.
00:42:47
Speaker
It means to pervert or to turn away. Jesus never turned away from the things of God, but every human who's reached the age of accountability has turned away.
00:43:02
Speaker
Outstretched arm, and Hebrew is the only language where this is even possible, means afternoon.
00:43:11
Speaker
And what time did Jesus die on the cross? With his outstretched arms? Three o'clock in the afternoon.
00:43:24
Speaker
Outstretched arm means overthrow. And he died to save us and to overthrow the forces of evil.
00:43:36
Speaker
Outstretched arm means to deliver, to rescue.
00:43:42
Speaker
And that's he did for us.
00:43:46
Speaker
Outstretched arm translates in English as to cause to yield. And he submitted everything, even giving up his life, even his life through death on a cross for our sake.
00:44:05
Speaker
An outstretched arm means moral deflection, which means a person shifts blame, responsibility, or focus away from their own questionable actions to avoid guilt, shame, or accountability Jesus took the guilt from us and put it on himself.
00:44:28
Speaker
He took shame off us. I know a lot of people like to say, shame on you. no Jesus says shame off you and put it on himself.
00:44:39
Speaker
He did not hold us responsible for our wickedness. Instead, Father God held Jesus responsible for our wickedness. And like a righteous judge, someone had to be punished.
00:44:50
Speaker
It could be every person ever, or it could be one person once and for all time. They went with option B. And Jesus received the full measure of that punishment against us with outstretched arms.
00:45:08
Speaker
He is not only prophesying destroying the Egyptians here. He's prophesying destroying all evil himself on the cross. It's a twofold prophecy.
00:45:21
Speaker
And then we have the final cup. Which is the cup of restoration and praise. I will take you as my people and I will be your God.
00:45:34
Speaker
This means i will win you. I will send for you. I'll take possession of you. I'll carry you along with myself.
00:45:46
Speaker
In Hebrew, this is called the Lakakti. It's the consummation cup. It's about relationship, almost like a marriage.
00:45:57
Speaker
And again, Israel is the bride of Christ. But the Last Supper, it says, Jesus did not drink that cup. He said, I'm not going to drink this one again until I bring in my Messianic, which means Messiah, Millennial Kingdom.
00:46:17
Speaker
After the body of Christ has been raptured. And the Antichrist has taken over the world. And we've had seven years of tribulation. And I come and I kill the Antichrist. And I throw Satan and Tartarus. And the false prophet goes into the um lake of fire.
00:46:37
Speaker
And the ten kings the armies are destroyed. And we have world peace. Then, when my people Israel... my pride, then I'll have this cup.
00:46:50
Speaker
Restoration and praise. There'll be halal, there'll be hallelujah, there'll be cheering because we're together. But for now, not going to drink that cup. Some people think Jesus is in heaven very, very thirsty.
00:47:04
Speaker
They think he hasn't had to drop a drop of drink in 2000 years. It's heaven. he can have it every once and every once. Jesus is not thirsty. If he does this, He'll have a cup of tea in his hand there and then.
00:47:17
Speaker
What he did not drink was the fourth communion cup. He's waiting until after the apocalypse, when he's with his people, his bride, the nation of Israel, living with them on the earth, and then they can have that final communion cup together.
00:47:37
Speaker
So these are the promises that he gave in Exodus 6, verses 6 to 7.
00:47:50
Speaker
I'm going to destroy your enemies, and I'm going to set you free.
00:47:59
Speaker
He came against the Egyptians with 10 plagues. The 10 plagues are recorded in Exodus chapter 7,
00:48:11
Speaker
to Exodus chapter 12. They did make life very difficult for the Egyptians and the natural, the real people, but he also afflicted the gods of Egypt, the demonic kings and queens of Egypt.
00:48:30
Speaker
The first plague was turning the river Nile to blood.
00:48:38
Speaker
Now they had a god called Happy He wasn't happy after this, let me tell you. He was god of River Nile. And they also had an Egyptian god, a demon, an evil spirit, called K'nun.
00:48:55
Speaker
He was the guardian of the Nile. But he wasn't guarding the Nile all that well that day.
00:49:03
Speaker
The second plague was a plague of frogs. With this, the lord humiliated Heket, who was the goddess of fertility who had the face of a frog.
00:49:20
Speaker
The third plague was one of gnats or lice. And here, basically, the whole... whole of the land the people got covered with these lice. That was against the hind the Hindu, the Egyptian god Jeb, who was an earth god.
00:49:47
Speaker
Then flies covered the land of Egypt. And that came against Kepri, who was the Egyptian god of resurrection. I doubt they ever resurrected anyone. but Unless they had corpses running around full of demons.
00:50:05
Speaker
um Then they had a livestock death plague where the Lord attacked their cattle, their animals.
00:50:15
Speaker
The Egyptians had a goddess called Hathor who looked like a cow. And she was a goddess of love and protection. They also had a god called Apis.
00:50:28
Speaker
who was the god of life, death, and resurrection. Apis was a, hear me now, Apis was a golden calf god, who was both singular and plural.
00:50:44
Speaker
It's a very famous story in the Old Testament, where Moses is up a mountain, talking to the Lord Jesus face to face, as though to a friend. He comes down the mountain, because after all this,
00:50:56
Speaker
And he sees that the Hebrews have actually made a statue of calf out of gold. They took gold from the Egyptians.
00:51:07
Speaker
They wasted it on idolatry. And they talk about the staff, the like the calf, the statue, like it's singular and plural. It, they, it, they, it, they. they That's because the statue was an antichrist spirit.
00:51:24
Speaker
It was singular and plural, like God is singular and plural. It was a God of life, death, and resurrection, and Jesus is the God living the dead. is life and resurrection itself.
00:51:36
Speaker
So Apis was also a cow god. So here the Lord was humiliating the Egyptians, saying, really? how are your cow gods doing? Because they ain't saving your cows, are they?
00:51:49
Speaker
He also gave them boils. And this was because, if you've ever seen the Brendan Fraser movie, The Mummy, they had a god called Imhotep.
00:52:02
Speaker
Imhotep was their god of medicine. But he was not able to heal or cure them from the Lord's plague.
00:52:11
Speaker
The Bible tells us God has a storehouse in heaven, I'm sure it's a massive building, full of hailstones for days of spiritual war and combat. He opened up that storehouse and sent the hail down on the Egyptians.
00:52:27
Speaker
And their sky goddess Newt and their air god Shu were not able to stop him. In fact, I can imagine God saying Shu, Shu to the god Shu and just battering him with hailstones.
00:52:42
Speaker
Then locusts covered the land of Egypt and ate everything green. The Egyptian demon Nepri who called himself the God of Grain, was unable to stop the Lord.
00:52:57
Speaker
Then the Lord turned the lights on over his people Israel, his Hebrews, but shut out the light of the sun over the Egyptians. They lived in darkness.
00:53:12
Speaker
Their sun god was totally incapable of stopping the Lord. He was powerless, he was defeated. I'm sure the Lord had a great time pummeling him into the dirt.
00:53:29
Speaker
And all this time, Pharaoh would not relent, would not let the people go. But this one broke him. The death of the firstborn. Where the Lord moved through the land of Egypt and killed all the firstborn, including Pharaoh's son.
00:53:52
Speaker
Which demonic god is he coming against here? Well, Pharaoh calls himself a god. He's come against Pharaoh the man. And this time Pharaoh broke and said, you may let your people go.
00:54:06
Speaker
Get them out of my sight. Get them out of my country.
00:54:15
Speaker
Some people might think, that's a horrible thing, that's a terrible thing God did. Well, it was horrible, it was terrible. But it worked. But people might say, but those firstborn, they were in innocent.
00:54:29
Speaker
Maybe some of them were. i don't know how innocent a nation of slave drivers can be, but sure, maybe some of the kids the kids undoubtedly were innocent. um But my answer to that would be the Lord did not spare his firstborn son when it came to saving all of the human race.
00:54:48
Speaker
The Lord struck the firstborn of the Egyptians because he knew that Pharaoh would break and he would set the people free. Father God inflicted every curse on his own firstborn, the firstborn of all creation, Jesus Christ.
00:55:07
Speaker
so that we could go free, that we would be liberated from bondage. Again, we see a picture, an aversion. Moses' life, very similar to Jesus' life in many respects.
00:55:30
Speaker
The Lord wanted his people to remember this. to remember the day of their freedom, to remember the day of their great rescue.
00:55:42
Speaker
So in Exodus chapter 12, verses one to six, he gave him an instruction. Exodus chapter 12, one to six.
00:55:56
Speaker
The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, his older brother in Egypt, this month, is to be for you the first month. The first month of your year.
00:56:08
Speaker
So he's introducing a new calendar here. Okay, this is not the calendar that Noah was using. This is a brand new one. Sometimes when people read the Bible, they're like... Okay, the Bible says are 1,290 days in that year, but in that year, it's it's longer. And and this is the seventh month year and here, and here's the first month. During Kings, that king became a king in that year, but in Chronicles, he had a king in that year. Different calendars. Different countries, different calendars. And here, it's a new day. You know, it's it's a new dawn, it's a new day, and I'm feeling good.
00:56:42
Speaker
Yeah, this is where that began. New day, new calendar. and And it's not the same as our calendar either, by the way. Tell the whole community of Israel that on the 10th day of this month, each man is to take a lamb for his family.
00:57:04
Speaker
One for each household. I love the way he says it twice, just in case there's like any confusion. If any household is too small for a whole lamb... I mean, hello.
00:57:16
Speaker
A lamb is pretty small, so how small does your family have to be if they can't eat one lamb between them? If any household is too small for whole lamb, they must share one with their nearest neighbor, having taken into account the number of people there are.
00:57:30
Speaker
You are to determine the count by the amount of lamb needed in accordance with what each person will eat, okay? The animals you choose must be eager old males without defect.
00:57:44
Speaker
Perfect. fact A spotless, perfect, flawless lamb. Like Jesus, the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. Like Jesus, the lamb who was slain before the foundation of the world.
00:58:01
Speaker
And you may take them from sheep or the goats. They can be a sheep child or offspring. They can goat offspring. Take care of them until the 14th day of the month.
00:58:13
Speaker
when all the people of the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight.
00:58:23
Speaker
Then verse seven as well, why not? Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the door frames of the house where they eat the lambs.
00:58:38
Speaker
A lot of things are happening there. I do not think I've ever said the word lamb out loud as many times in two minutes.
00:58:47
Speaker
This was an abomination to the Egyptians. The Egyptians held sheep and rams in the highest regard. The Egyptians had gods that looked like sheep and rams.
00:59:02
Speaker
So the idea of the Hebrews taking the offspring of a sheep or a ram And just like, you know, stabbing and killing it and pouring its blood all the way.
00:59:14
Speaker
The Egyptians were like, oh, my goodness, I feel faint. It was God really just like sticking it to the Egyptians one last time. You know, what's your what's your sheep God going to do? Nothing. That's what I thought.
00:59:27
Speaker
It's God's challenge provoking the Egypt.
00:59:31
Speaker
So they take this spotless, perfect, flawless lamb and they sacrifice it. But notice the days that are mentioned. Take it on the 10th day. Sacrifice it on the 14th day.
00:59:46
Speaker
Four-day gap. That's interesting.
00:59:53
Speaker
We're told in the Book of Peter that in heaven, one day is the equivalent of 1,000 earth years.
01:00:07
Speaker
One day in heaven? 1,000 earth years. That means four days in heaven is 4,000 earth years.
01:00:19
Speaker
Jesus was sacrificed on the cross in the 4,000th year the earth. Year 0 about 2,000?
01:00:28
Speaker
year zero to but two thousand brings you from Adam and Eve all the way to the Tower of Babel and Abraham.
01:00:41
Speaker
Then 2000 years passed from Abraham to Jesus. So that's 4000 years. And Jesus is the lamb who was slain before the foundation of the earth.
01:00:53
Speaker
John the Baptist calls him the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. So Jesus would be born of Mary and live for 33 and a half years.
01:01:03
Speaker
And we sacrifice on the cross in the 4000th year of of time and space. And in their tradition, they were told have a four day gap between putting it aside and actually executing it.
01:01:22
Speaker
And then they were told to take its blood and to put it on the wooden doorpost. doorpost. one
01:01:33
Speaker
horizontally and one horizontally and one vertically. One going up and down and one at the top, one going left to right.
01:01:46
Speaker
And this is a picture of God's love from heaven coming down to the earth
01:01:55
Speaker
and the love of Jesus in us for our brothers and sisters around the world.
01:02:03
Speaker
So take the blood of the lamb and you put it on the doorpost horizontally and vertically. It's a picture of the cross.
01:02:16
Speaker
The Lord loves you. You love the Lord.
01:02:21
Speaker
The Lord loves everyone. So you've got to love everyone as well.
01:02:28
Speaker
And they would call this event the Passover.
01:02:34
Speaker
It commemorated the Lord passing over them, letting them live, because the blood of the lamb was over the door, and instead he would kill the firstborn of the Egyptians.
01:02:48
Speaker
So when you are praying for protection from evil, you can use this as a picture and say, Lord Jesus, protect me by the power of your blood. Protect me from the spirit of death. Protect me from my enemies. Protect me from people who are out to get me.
01:03:04
Speaker
And even put your hand over your doorframe, over your windows. Declare protection for your home. um Restoration. Blessing. That it would be like a cloak and of invisibility. That your enemy wouldn't see you. Gang stalkers wouldn't be able to get to you.
01:03:21
Speaker
The power of the blood of Jesus. It's washed away your sins. It's made you clean. But in addition to all of that, that's all true. It's also got a protective element as well.
01:03:44
Speaker
The death of his son broke Pharaoh. And he told Moses and the Egyptians, leave. Get out of here.
01:03:54
Speaker
I never want to see you ever again. Bugger off.
01:04:00
Speaker
But that is not what the Lord had prophesied to Abraham. The Lord told Abraham, I'm going to wipe out your hands. going take them out. take them down. Not, I'm to break their hearts and break their resolve. going destroy the people who tried to destroy you.
01:04:18
Speaker
So in Exodus 14, verse 5, the Pharaoh changes his mind. Moses leading the Israelites towards the Red Sea, towards freedom.
01:04:30
Speaker
And Pharaoh says, you know what? Screw it and screw them.
01:04:37
Speaker
In verse five, he says, when the king of Egypt was told that the people had fled with his permission. Pharaoh and his officials changed their minds about them and said, what have we done?
01:04:52
Speaker
We have let the Israelites go and have lost their services. It almost sounds like it was like a job that they'd willingly been doing. but Slaves, my friend, you've lost your slaves.
01:05:05
Speaker
So he had his chariot made ready and his army with him. He took 600 of his best chariots, along with all the other chariots of Egypt, with officers over all of them.
01:05:22
Speaker
The Lord hardened the hearts of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and so that he pursued the Israelites who were marching out boldly. Pharaoh had already decided to chase after them.
01:05:33
Speaker
God hardened his heart to set him up to fail.
01:05:39
Speaker
The Egyptians, all Pharaoh's horses and chariots, horsemen and troops, pursued the Israelites and overtook them as they camped by the sea near Pi-Ha-Hirat, opposite Baal-Zaphon.
01:05:54
Speaker
As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up, and there were the Egyptians, marching after them. They were terrified, I bet they were, and cried out to the Lord.
01:06:07
Speaker
They said to Moses, Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us out to the desert to die? Isn't that interesting? Pharaoh was chasing after them, with hundreds of soldiers and horses, hundreds of chariots,
01:06:24
Speaker
It doesn't sound like he wants slaves. It sounds he wants corpses. It doesn't sound like he wants to bring back his employees. It sounds he wants them dead. And they're not fighting against Pharaoh.
01:06:37
Speaker
They're fighting against the Deliverer. They're fighting against God's servants. They've turned their back already against the one who's just helped set them free.
01:06:50
Speaker
What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt? Didn't we say to you in Egypt, just alone, serve the Egyptians. Don't be, it is what it is, it's normal.
01:07:04
Speaker
It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert. So again, they're not going back to slavery. They're convinced that Pharaoh's going to slay them dead.
01:07:16
Speaker
Moses answered the people, don't be afraid. I think that'd be my response, but he was very calm guy. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. And I think someone needs to hear this.
01:07:31
Speaker
The Egyptians you see today, you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you. You need only to be still, to trust in him.
01:07:44
Speaker
a lot of people are freaking out nowadays. They look at the political climate, at how each of our leaders are doing everything they can to enslave us to taxes. to never being able to afford houses, their war on human life, especially those of the unborn, the war on truth, the propaganda machine, their war on freedoms of speech, freedoms of prayer, their infringement. Oh yeah, you can't pray here. You can't pray there. You can pray to Allah there. You can't pray to Jesus though.
01:08:19
Speaker
just how wicked and corrupt and destructive the nation's leaders are, how much they long for war, a lust for war, and try to do away with neutrality, try to make us slaves to the European Union, the World Health Organization, to make countries slaves to NATO, the european and the United Nations, whatever it is, and the World Economic Forum.
01:08:41
Speaker
lot of people are freaking out. lot of Christians have lost the fight in them. If that's you right now, and you're afraid, and you're pulling your arms, you've given up the fight, you're just waiting for the end to come, let me read this to you right now.
01:08:57
Speaker
Moses answered the people, do not be afraid of the geriatric Sadanites and human traffickers who are currently running the world.
01:09:10
Speaker
Stand firm, and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The enemies, the human traffickers, the pedophile rings who run the nations, that you see today, you will never see again.
01:09:29
Speaker
The Lord will fight for you. You need only to be still. Not apathetic, not indifferent, not lying on your back, not hiding on the bed covers in your bed.
01:09:41
Speaker
Still, strong, confident in the Lord, on your feet.
01:09:49
Speaker
Then the Lord said to Moses, you're crying out to me. I love that because Moses thinks the word of faith to the Israelites, but then apparently, like, you know, he's having a conniption over here on the other side.
01:10:03
Speaker
Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. Raise your staff. Raise your stick. Hello. And stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so the Israelites can go through the sea, this is the miracle, on dry ground.
01:10:25
Speaker
Some historians will say, well, there was a volcano a somewhere near Egypt and it exploded and ah the the The stone you you you see, it landed the sea and there was a big splash and the people just ran across really, really quickly, all one million of them. And I'm like, seriously, I haven't laughed. You're a historian.
01:10:53
Speaker
Good one. There was no big splash. The sea parted and they crossed on dry land. That makes it a miracle.
01:11:06
Speaker
I lost my place. That's okay. 17. I'll harden the hearts of Egyptians so that they will go in after them. God, even today, is setting up your enemies to take a fall.
01:11:19
Speaker
And I will gain glory through Pharaoh and all his army, through his chariots and his horsemen, when I defeat them. And Egyptians will know that I am the Lord and I gain glory through Pharaoh, his chariots and his horsemen.
01:11:33
Speaker
and So even the Egyptians would know, okay, whoopsie, their God's real. And, well, they wouldn't know much else because they would soon be dead. And then the angel of God, Jesus, who had been traveling in front of Israel's army, withdrew and went behind them.
01:11:54
Speaker
He was a pillar of cloud initially in the front. And it said the pillar of cloud also moved in front and stood behind them. coming between the armies of Egypt and Israel.
01:12:07
Speaker
Throughout the night, the glory cloud brought darkness to the one side and light to the other side. So neither went near the other all night long. So Jesus protected them from their enemies.
01:12:22
Speaker
And the Israelites could see a perfect light, which made sense because when the seas parted, it was very dark. But that he lit up their way. He was a torch for them. it was a light for them. The Egyptians he concealed in the darkness.
01:12:37
Speaker
Then Moses stretched out his hands over the sea. He's got a staff in his hand now. He's lifting up the cross, basically. And all that night, the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned into dry land.
01:12:54
Speaker
The waters were divided. And the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground with a wall of water on the right and a wall of water on the left.
01:13:05
Speaker
The Egyptians pursued them. And all Pharaoh's horses and chariots and horsemen followed them into the sea.
01:13:15
Speaker
Some might say that Pharaoh thought he was a god. Maybe he thought the water had parted for him. Maybe he thought the god of the Red Sea was showing him favour to kill the Israelites.
01:13:31
Speaker
Perhaps.
01:13:34
Speaker
The Egyptians pursued them into the sea, but during the last watch of the night, the Lord looked down from the pillar of fire and clouds at the Egyptian army, and he threw the army into confusion.
01:13:49
Speaker
He made the wheels of their chariots come off, so that they had difficulty driving. And the Egyptians finally cocked themselves on and said, let's get away from the israel Israelites. The Lord is fighting for them against Egypt, but took them long enough.
01:14:06
Speaker
Then the Lord said to Moses, stretch out your hand over the sea, so the waters may flow back over the Egyptians and their chariots and horsemen.
01:14:17
Speaker
Now notice this, this the last watch of the night, okay? This has been going on for a long time. The Hebrews are moving bit bit by bit by bit by bit bit. There's like a million of them, maybe more. It's taking a while to get through. The Egyptians are making great progress on their chariots.
01:14:35
Speaker
This came down to the wire. This was a breakthrough delivered at the last second. Many of the Hebrews probably thought they were screwed with a capital S. And the Lord says, Moses, stretch out your hand again, stretch out your staff again.
01:14:53
Speaker
Moses stretched out his hands over the sea, and at daybreak, the sea went back to its place. Not on the right and the left.
01:15:04
Speaker
Came back into one. The Egyptians were fleeing toward it, and the Lord swept them into the sea. The water flowed back and covered the chariots and horsemen.
01:15:18
Speaker
The entire army of Pharaoh... that had followed the Israelites into the sea and not one of them survived.
01:15:29
Speaker
The Lord looked after his people and they crossed over from death to life.
01:15:41
Speaker
Ba dum ting! They went from bondage to freedom. From captivity to deliverance, from to the greatest rescue they could possibly ever have imagined.
01:16:05
Speaker
it all happened by Moses obeying the Lord, just holding up a stick, holding a stick up in the air.
01:16:13
Speaker
But there's an even greater breakthrough for us, a greater miracle for us. And it's Jesus being lifted up on two sticks.
01:16:25
Speaker
A vertical one and a horizontal one with his arms outstretched. Where he died at three o'clock in the afternoon.
01:16:38
Speaker
In the greatest moral deflection of all time, one orchestrated by God. to put the sinful state of every one of us and everyone in the world on Jesus, as well as the punishment.
01:16:57
Speaker
And the punishment was fit for the crime. Every single spiritual crime, thought, spoken, intended in the heart, done in the flesh.
01:17:09
Speaker
And Jesus was punished for all.
01:17:16
Speaker
And he descended into the realm of the dead. But death could not hold him down because he is life and resurrection. He came back up to the earth.
01:17:28
Speaker
And then he says.
01:17:32
Speaker
Believe in my sacrifice and you will cross over from death to life. You'll cross over from spiritual bondage, flavoring captivity into new life.
01:17:45
Speaker
the land of your punishment, your bondage, your oppression, the land of tyranny into the promised land. A land that overflows with milk and honey, with promise, with purpose, with hope, with prosperity.
01:18:05
Speaker
New chances, new adventures, new excitement, new opportunities. a new family, a fresh start.
01:18:22
Speaker
And the journey of the Israelites very closely mirrors our journey. They were in Egypt as slaves, and we were all slaves to sin. we were in bondage to our sin.
01:18:39
Speaker
They celebrate the Passover. When they sacrifice the lambs and they put the blood on the doorframe. And we have been redeemed by the blood of the lamb that was slain before the foundation of the earth in the 4,000th year of time.
01:18:56
Speaker
Jesus.
01:19:00
Speaker
They crossed the Red Sea, I think it's very important that it was the Red Sea, because red is the color of blood. I'm not saying the sea was red, but the name was Red Sea. That's a picture of baptism. For us, the second you first believe a supernatural baptism happens on the inside, where Holy Spirit enters inn and brings your dead spirit to life.
01:19:26
Speaker
But when they crossed the Red Sea, they were not in the promised land already. They had a wilderness to go through, which we're going to look at next week.
01:19:36
Speaker
And that wilderness is a time of sanctification and testing. Because you can take the slaves out of Egypt. But taking Egypt out of the slaves is a lot harder.
01:19:54
Speaker
You can take people out of bondage. Taking bondage out of the people is a lot harder.
01:20:03
Speaker
You can take people out of their oppression. Taking the oppression out of the people, it's process. It's a choice. And it's every day.
01:20:15
Speaker
But spoiler alert for next week. Eventually, they did reach the promised land. And the promised land is your rest, your divine rest and the inheritance that you have in Jesus.
01:20:27
Speaker
Stepping into everything that he has for you. Everything he wants for you. Everything he's promised for you.
01:20:38
Speaker
So this is Jesus in the Old Testament, part seven. Moses, part one of three. The Egyptian Chronicles.
01:20:50
Speaker
In part two, next week, we're going to look at more times that Moses spoke to Jesus and Jesus spoke to Moses. More times that Jesus made himself visible, made himself aware. Sometimes it's amazing. Sometimes they're pretty scary. We're going to look at those next week.
01:21:07
Speaker
Even the scary ones are important. There's always something we can glean, something we can learn. Next year, next year next week, we're going to look at the 40 years in the wilderness. It should have taken days.
01:21:23
Speaker
It took another four decades. Because again, they crossed over from slavery to freedom. But you can be free and not be free indeed.
01:21:38
Speaker
You can be saved, but not sanctified. You can be snatched out of the clutches of the enemy, but choose to still be a victim.
01:21:49
Speaker
Because you like the dram. Or you like the hurt. You like the pain. I've been there. For many years, that was my story. I liked having something to complain about. No one listened to me. but but But I liked having inner monologues with myself.
01:22:05
Speaker
And being the victim. Playing the victim cards. Oh, my life is so crap. I'm just a poor boy. Nobody loves me. just a poor boy from a poor family. That was the mantra in my head. Me, me, me, me,
01:22:17
Speaker
And that's where the Israelites are next week. They so the victim mentality, the slave mentality. And we want to see how... that failed to behoove them, how it made their lives very difficult, and what the Lord had to do as a result, but because he is Jesus, how he still blessed them, even in that time of rebellion and sanctification, and tiptoeing and going very, very slowly.
01:22:44
Speaker
Again, it should have taken days, it took four decades. And the week after that... We're going to look at the instructions that Jesus gave Moses concerning the tabernacle, a physical place of meeting and um different furnishings in that building and that all indirectly.
01:23:10
Speaker
And some very directly point to the person of Jesus, where he is hidden in plain sight. And the story of the gospel is hidden all around that tent.
01:23:22
Speaker
But most of the people failed to see it. But that'll be next week.
01:23:33
Speaker
Okay, I see a couple things in the chat box. and Let's see, Kitty, we will pray for you at the end. Yes. And then Anne Catherine, what's the name of the last cup, the fourth one?
01:23:45
Speaker
Great question. the fourth cup, I have my notes here. oh The fourth cup is called the Cup of
01:23:57
Speaker
Praise. The Cup of Praise. Yeah. It had two names. I normally call the cup of praise when I'm teaching on it. It does have another name.
01:24:10
Speaker
Some of them have two or three names. The other name is the cup of restoration because it's when he restores the nation of Israel totally and completely for 1,000 years. Yeah, you can say restoration or praise. It's the same cup.
01:24:26
Speaker
And that's the one that at the last supper, he said, I'm not going to drink this one until after I brought in my kingdom. He drank the other three. um He still drinks things in heaven. He's not thirsty.
01:24:38
Speaker
and But that's the one he said he would not put to his lips until after he had restored the physical kingdom of of Israel. and Jamie, thanks for having me. Thank you so much, Jamie. I appreciate that. That's so sweet. Thank you. Thank you.
01:24:56
Speaker
and I know normally I have a PowerPoint like jazzy things on the screen but I was up until late last night making this teaching and I just said I'm gonna have such a busy Wednesday stay I can't make the PowerPoint so know what when I'm not using my fingers for the PowerPoint to kind of frees me up to be a bit more expressive with my hands.
01:25:19
Speaker
Alright I'm just mindful that some of this may have been new for some of you, and some of it may have gone over your heads. Are there any comments, queries, questions or concerns on any of that?
01:25:44
Speaker
Yeah, i have I have a question. yeah Yeah. So ah you were saying that it's about the the destiny that's that sometimes your destiny can be stolen. snack Massively. Yeah. yeah Yeah.
01:26:03
Speaker
But it's so, so ah um how is that connected? Is it, is it, is it, is it so it gets it?
01:26:15
Speaker
Oh, sorry. Sorry. No, you're you're okay. I know exactly what you're saying. I know exactly you're saying. You're you're fine. yeah um It can be postponed or it can be stolen forever.
01:26:29
Speaker
and So let's think of... Why? Why? Why? the why That's my question. why can it get stolen if it is God's will?
01:26:41
Speaker
And... and And then is this a connection between, ah because god is God is building and building and tearing down and building and tearing down, right? So so the he wants us to to grow.
01:27:02
Speaker
So if you choose to stay in the victimhood, is that connection? when Is that one of the reasons that you're not reaching your destiny?
01:27:13
Speaker
Yeah, there are lots of reasons it can happen. We'll go with the first example. Well, one of the first examples was that I taught in this series, Jesus in the Old Testament, where you have Adam and they were made to be kings and priests of the earth.
01:27:35
Speaker
And they were given the imagination of God's They would fellowship with Jesus. And it says that Jesus would come walking king in the cool of the day.
01:27:48
Speaker
In the Hebrew, the cool of the day is the breeze, is the Ruach, is the spirit, is the spirit that creates divine utterances, prophetic utterances, the energy of life itself and creativity. When Jesus came walking in the garden, cool the day, they began prophesying.
01:28:13
Speaker
They began speaking the future. They began getting these excited ideas of, oh, wow, we could build this. We could make this. We could go there. we could do that. That is what they lived in And then
01:28:32
Speaker
ah snake came in from the fields, from outside the garden. This snake was probably in rebellion. Personally, I assume Satan went to the snake and said, were made a couple hours before they were made.
01:28:47
Speaker
Why are they in charge of the world and you aren't? Yes, Satan, I agree with you. That's how I pictured it. Satan entered the snake, in it comes.
01:28:59
Speaker
And all of a sudden, all the things they prophesied, only good things, because we're told to put on the the mind of Christ. And the mind of Christ is whatever is good, whatever is noble, whatever is lovely, whatever is beautiful, whatever is commendable, whatever is praiseworthy, whatever is noble, whatever makes you glad, whatever is true, whatever is pure.
01:29:27
Speaker
That's the imagination of Christ. That is the mind of Christ. Every time they prophesied, everything they said lined up with that. And all of a sudden,
01:29:38
Speaker
All of a sudden, they ate the fruit of that tree. There were things they prophesied that they never saw come to pass. There were things they prophesied that did, to this day, have not happened.
01:29:54
Speaker
And then you look at their sons. They had Cain, was very religious. Look at what I grew. Didn't I make it pretty? Here's a fruit salad and a Caesar salad that I made myself.
01:30:09
Speaker
I, me, my, that was all he obsessed was obsessed with. My performance. What I produced. I planted the seeds. I took out the watering can. I watched them grow day after day. was religion.
01:30:25
Speaker
And then you have Abel, who was a good shepherd. We're told he was he looked after sheep. That was his job. He was the first ever farmer.
01:30:37
Speaker
And he was righteous with the Lord. He knew the sacrifice was a lamb and he would offer up the livestock, the first, the best, without defect, long before Moses.
01:30:49
Speaker
And religion killed the good shepherd. Religion killed the one who had the seed of life in him. If you look at the chronologies so of Jesus' birth, Abel should...
01:31:05
Speaker
be in that chronology. He was the good shepherd. Jesus is the good shepherd. Jesus should have come through k through Abel's line. That would make perfect sense. A good shepherd had his sheep, served the Lord, but the Pharisees, religious leaders, killed Jesus, and the religious brother killed the good shepherd.
01:31:28
Speaker
Religion killed Abel. And all of a sudden, there was no seed of life in the earth. So Adam and Eve had to wait a lot of years before she finally gave birth to Seth, who was a righteous son, a a replacement for Abel.
01:31:46
Speaker
So this was the destiny of the seed of life was stolen. But years later, she got pregnant again with Seth. Sure, she had other kids, whatever. But Seth is the one in Jesus' chronology.
01:31:58
Speaker
And he was the one, the seed of life that Jesus would come through. That was a destiny stolen and a destiny returned. If you, let's say, think of a child who gets aborted, that is a destiny stolen. That's a destiny gone.
01:32:14
Speaker
na In Moses' day, we're told in Acts chapter 7, Stephen gave the most wonderful description of Moses. Sometimes it's even more interesting than Exodus.
01:32:27
Speaker
And Acts 7, 17, as the time drew near, not several decades away, near, For God fulfill his promise to Abraham, which is, i'm going to rescue your people from Egypt. I'll punish the Egyptians. I'll send the promised land.
01:32:47
Speaker
The number of our people in Egypt greatly increased. So this is when the time is near. The deliverer will be born. going to punish the Egyptians. going to deliver my people, their promised land. All of this was near And the Hebrews looked at 40-year-old Moses and said, Who do you think you are to judge and rule over us?
01:33:13
Speaker
We don't want you We don't need you. Get out of here. We know the brat you were as a child. You're a palace snob. You think you're so much better than us. You're filthy. You're scum.
01:33:26
Speaker
And what happened? He disappeared for 40 years in the wilderness. He came back alllo and punish the Lord punished the Egyptians and the Israelites crossed over the Red Sea.
01:33:41
Speaker
And it should have taken them days to get the promised land. But as we'll see next week, with an act of their will, they chose not to go in.
01:33:54
Speaker
And their destiny was stolen for 40 years. Did the Israelites enter the promised land? Yes. Did they? know With two exceptions, the whole lot of them died in the wilderness.
01:34:08
Speaker
Their destiny was stolen for 80 years. But the generation that Moses came to when he was 40 should have been the generation who entered the promised land. It should not have been postponed by 80 years.
01:34:26
Speaker
It was postponed by rebellion. So your question was victim mentality. When I was a teenager, ah child and a teenager, I had no friends.
01:34:38
Speaker
No one liked me. And either people saw I was hershing and said, whatever, or they didn't know, or I didn't care, I didn't care to know, whatever the reasons were.
01:34:51
Speaker
But there came a point in my life, 15, where I had to make a decision. God had spoken over me when I was seven. and said, I have a big plan for you.
01:35:04
Speaker
And I had to make a decision. as I said, God, eight years have passed. Eight years have been stolen. Most of my life by that stage. And I said, I can either
01:35:18
Speaker
do what is in my heart to do to myself, which was not a very nice thing to do to myself, And it would have cut my time stream short, dead on impact. There would have been no more Brendan Thomas Marat on Earth.
01:35:31
Speaker
That was what was in my heart. Or I could say, God, you and I have got some pretty big changes to make. And apparently you're perfect and always good. the problem's on my end.
01:35:46
Speaker
And I had always wanted to be a hero. But I'd become a victim. A lot of things had gone wrong in my life. Someday I might go into it all.
01:35:57
Speaker
But one of the biggest problems, because you mentioned victim mentality, is I thought of all the heroes I was familiar with. Spider-Man. He was hated by the media, but he was still a hero.
01:36:13
Speaker
The X-Men. Hated by society. They were still heroes. Jesus, hated by his contemporaries and everyone everyone in my school, apparently, and almost everyone in my life, but was still a hero.
01:36:25
Speaker
So I developed the twisted, perverted mentality that unless you were a victim, you could not be a hero. You had to hurt in order to be a hero.
01:36:38
Speaker
You had to be beaten and kicked down and despised in order to be a hero. If people hated you, you were doing something right. If people loathed you, you were doing something right. That is the mentality I had.
01:36:52
Speaker
That was the lie that I settled for. The more people hated me, the more I convinced myself I was somehow doing the right thing. Now, I wasn't winning anyone for Jesus. I couldn't even speak.
01:37:06
Speaker
I had a mute spirit.
01:37:09
Speaker
I literally would not speak indoors. And no one was talking to me outdoors either. as wasn't having a great chat out there either. but and No one wants to know my opinion on anything.
01:37:21
Speaker
And if they did, it was just that they could attack

Personal Faith Crisis

01:37:23
Speaker
me. And it was totally emotional and mental and spiritual shutdown. i emotional shut down everything else. And eventually at 15 years of age, I sat up in this bed and I held this Bible. Now it's in tatters held together by sellotape. It looked better back then.
01:37:42
Speaker
no And I just remember saying, God,
01:37:47
Speaker
Your word says in John 10 10 that the enemy the comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But you have come to give life and to give life and all of the abundance.
01:38:00
Speaker
And I said, God,
01:38:04
Speaker
I'm not living a life of abundance. I said, I'm 15. fifteen i'm I'm a kid and i literally don't have any friends. i said, if I died, no one would know. No one would care. and I With a couple exceptions, I do believe that to this day that that is true.
01:38:22
Speaker
I be like I've come from nowhere. I've arrived nowhere. I'm going nowhere. I've got nothing to show for 15 years on this planet. All I ever feel is pain.
01:38:36
Speaker
I'm addicted to this. I'm addicted to that. I'm addicted to this. They offer temporary relief. And then i just hate myself more afterward than I had before. Every solution I have leads to me becoming as much of a scumbag as all the people that I hate.
01:38:56
Speaker
I don't know what it is to love or be loved. And I said, I can't live like this. i I got this picture in my head. not saying it was a vision. It's just, this is what I thought.
01:39:09
Speaker
A jewelry box. This is where I keep my chains and rings and pins and medallions.
01:39:18
Speaker
And I pictured God loving humans so much and saying, oh my goodness, this is my child. Isn't he pretty? And he would put you in this jewelry box. Again, not a vision. This is just what I taught at 15.
01:39:32
Speaker
And he would put in that jewelry box and he would put a lid on that box and he put you shelf. And inside that box, it was dark.
01:39:44
Speaker
It was lonely. There was no light coming And lived and you lived and you lived and you lived and you lived and you lived and you lived until you died.
01:39:57
Speaker
And then he would open the drooly box and say, voila, heaven, light, life, fun. Now, I didn't really know how fun heaven would be. I just figured it was better than down here.
01:40:09
Speaker
But my mentality was Christians were supposed to live in pain and victimization, victimhood, and misery until we croaked. That was just the lie that the enemy had convinced me.
01:40:22
Speaker
The enemy had convinced me that that was a good life. That was a life well-lived. Misery was the only objection any Christian could have in desert earth.
01:40:36
Speaker
And this night in particular, convinced that this was real, And I was like, when I said I was lonely guys, I was having hallucinations of having friends. I would literally get a phone call, talk for two hours my friend back garden.
01:40:52
Speaker
The call would end and say, oh, i thought something else to say. And there'd be like the number would not be in my contacts list. I'd literally be hallucinating having friends. It was like, it was pathetic, but that's where I was. I just said, okay, God, there's something really off here because abundant life,
01:41:10
Speaker
Doesn't start in heaven. It's supposed to start on the earth. So after eight years of the problem always being friends, or no friends, bullies, this person, those people, that relative, after eight years of playing the blame game, I said, screw it.
01:41:32
Speaker
Maybe I'm partly responsible. Maybe I have chosen... to let the wrong things in. And I wasn't talking demons. i didn't know anything about them. I knew the devil was real. I didn't know anything about his his associates.
01:41:46
Speaker
But I said on some level, God, maybe I have been complicit with the darkness. Maybe I've been complicit with the forces hell-bent on my own destruction.
01:41:59
Speaker
There is a heaven to win and there is a hell to fight. And I said, I have not been fighting like hell. I've just been letting hell run amok.

Spiritual Awakening and Prayer

01:42:12
Speaker
So I said, God, and this is risky. I don't encourage anyone to do this. But I picked up my Bible and I said, God, I'm going open this. I believe you when you say that you created reality in six days on the seventh year.
01:42:29
Speaker
I believe that then I believe that now.
01:42:33
Speaker
But I said, if you could do that, you can do anything. And you can do this for me. I am going to open this book on a random page.
01:42:47
Speaker
And the first line on the first page that I look at you have to speak into my circumstance.
01:42:59
Speaker
Or so help me. I mean, imagine blackmailing cats. or so help me. I was going to say, going to give a believe in you, but I couldn't.
01:43:11
Speaker
Couldn't. So I said, i will always believe in you, but my days of dying for you will be over.
01:43:22
Speaker
My days of dying for you will be done. I'm out. This is not living. This is not life. This is existing, and even then, barely. And I can't go on like this.
01:43:34
Speaker
So I said, if you could make all of reality in six days, you can do this for me. I wasn't just putting trust in God. I was putting trust in the manufacturer of the Holy Bible NIV, the version from the year 2002.
01:43:49
Speaker
Because any Bible can look any way whatsoever. And I opened it up.
01:43:58
Speaker
And the first line on the first page I looked at, was John 1414. fourteen You may ask anything in my name and I will do it.
01:44:17
Speaker
Well, I slammed it shut and I threw it across the bed. I was convinced I was having another hallucination. I just said there's no way.
01:44:30
Speaker
Impossible. God wouldn't do that for me.
01:44:35
Speaker
And I said, but maybe he did. So I picked it up again. But I was too excited. I couldn't remember what the chapter was or the verse. And was like, calm yourself.
01:44:50
Speaker
John was my favorite book back then because I knew like two Bible verses, 316 and 1010. So like, definitely John, John, John, it's John. And I knew the number had been the same.
01:45:01
Speaker
So I was like, 1616. So I went looking and well, the 1616 format did not line up. There was no 16 at the very top line. And I was like, oh my goodness, Scott, I can't believe you let me down.
01:45:19
Speaker
I can't believe even now. And I said, no, it wasn't 16. It was 14. And I turned it back one page.
01:45:33
Speaker
And it was still there. You may ask anything in my name when I will do it. I was 15. And I had always gone to churches, Catholic, Baptist, Pentecostal, evangelical, charismatic.
01:45:46
Speaker
I'd always gone to churches. Never, not once in 15 years, had anyone ever told me to pray in the name of Jesus. I just knew the Catholics pray in the name of anybody who was going.
01:45:59
Speaker
I knew the Parismatics and the Baptists were a Jesus' name only. Never, not once was I told why. It was just religious verbiage. It was just something you said at the end of a prayer to make it holy.
01:46:13
Speaker
That's all I understood it to be. No one had ever told me it's a command. No one had ever told me Jesus said so. No one had ever told me there's power in the name.
01:46:28
Speaker
of Jesus, the name that's above every other name. So you submit your requests to him and you put his name over it. No one had

Combating Negative Thoughts

01:46:38
Speaker
ever told me you're knocking on heaven's door and you're getting in on Jesus name.
01:46:46
Speaker
You're putting Jesus as a stamp of approval, as long as in accordance with his will.
01:46:52
Speaker
I'd never heard that. So I gave him a good long list. And I said, Jesus, I hate my life and I need a new one.
01:47:05
Speaker
I said, Jesus, in your name, i actually need friends. I said, Jesus, I don't have a purpose. I always wanted one. i just figured I'd get it at some point.
01:47:19
Speaker
I literally cannot see you beyond tomorrow. I need a reason to get in bed in the morning. Because all the reasons I had... which were basically doing well in school tests, doing well in exams, winning that competition, winning that award, getting that trophy.
01:47:37
Speaker
The feeling of achievement never really lasted long. And when your back's against the wall, you realize they're nice to have hanging on your wall, but they mean nothing.
01:47:49
Speaker
And I gave him a good long list. And I said, I need a new heart in Jesus name. Amen. I need a new life in Jesus name. Amen. And he was so generous and so quick to start repaying me good for all the evil that I had endured.
01:48:12
Speaker
But i went on a journey with him. And a big part of that journey was beginning to take captive of every thought. That when the enemy would say, i buying that in the name of Jesus, I'm free and I'm free indeed.
01:48:32
Speaker
No one loves you. Jesus does.
01:48:37
Speaker
You could die. no one would miss you. No one would mourn you. No one would even care. no one would notice you were gone. She had no impact anyone ever.
01:48:49
Speaker
Jesus has a plan for my life and I'm going to see it through. I'm going to fulfill it.
01:48:58
Speaker
I remember that wicked thing you did when you were a child you think no one knows about. God remembers my sin no more.
01:49:09
Speaker
What if they find out your secret? My wickedness is hidden in Christ Jesus. and And it is second by second.
01:49:21
Speaker
It is minute by minute. It is hour by hour. It is day by day. It is week by week, month by month, year by year. It's as recently as
01:49:33
Speaker
last week. I gave a teaching on Tuesday last week telling people not to eat communion if they unforgiveness in their heart. And God was like, it look who's talking. Look at all the people you haven't forgiven.
01:49:47
Speaker
You had a conversation with a friend didn't go your way and you've been spouting in your heart ever since. And I was like, it and I said, yeah, okay, Jesus, I'm going to, I have to deal with that before I have my cracker and drink.
01:50:01
Speaker
a It's every day. That's sanctification. It's a process. yeah And it's always ongoing. And it's only when you meet him that you will become like him. And you only meet him that way when you're dead.
01:50:15
Speaker
Hmm. but the whole victim and victimization mentality. I was the king of the victims. I was such a king of the victims. I did not know that they existed and they did not know that I was their king because we're all such wonderful victims. None of us ever grouped together.
01:50:32
Speaker
I know what it's like to be the king of the victims because for me at that age, it was more than half of my life. And that's how I can say it's inexcusable.
01:50:45
Speaker
Christians have this idea that they can do whatever they want and eventually God's will is going happen anyway. It's bullcrap. It's bad theology. It's lie. The will of God is that all people would be saved.
01:51:00
Speaker
And evidently that does not happen. People die and by an act of their will, get thrown into hell every single day.
01:51:12
Speaker
In the thousands, tens, hundreds of thousands, millions, whatever it is, every day, and the will of God does not always happen. So Christians have this idea of, ah, I read the end of the book. I know we win in the end.
01:51:29
Speaker
Yeah, in the abstract. But in the day to day, your destiny can be lost. In the day to day, your destiny can be stolen. In

Stories of Divine Intervention

01:51:39
Speaker
the day to day, your timeline can be seized upon.
01:51:44
Speaker
And that is where we have to be so on guard. That's where we have to be so vigilant, so uncompromising that we don't accept the enemy's report. We don't settle for the enemy's report.
01:52:03
Speaker
I remember once being on a bus and I was, I'll be honest with you, I'm not ashamed to admit it. I was praying the same thing i had prayed for the last three and a half years. Verbatim, word for word.
01:52:16
Speaker
And I was erect, tired, exhausted. It was, don't know, 7am, if even. was like, we God.
01:52:29
Speaker
I pray that you um protect this bus I'm on and all my family and friends and relatives who are traveling today in a vehicle, none of us die or
01:52:49
Speaker
killed in a car crash an accident. I could have rhymed it off in my sleep backwards. And next thing i heard a voice.
01:53:03
Speaker
I'd never heard before, but I knew whose voice it was. Pray that part about the car crash again and mean it. I was like, holy smokes. So i was like, uh, hi guys.
01:53:21
Speaker
Good morning. but Um, thank you that I'm alive. I've got breath in my lungs. You're awesome. You're amazing. Um, um Thank you for the sunshine that the bus driver can see where he's going, that I can look at in these lovely fields. Building up the courage to get to the car crash. And I was like, God, you've... You've given me a lot of people.
01:53:48
Speaker
I'm very blessed. My family's healthy. I can't remember about kidney disease. the rest were healthy, but he was still alive. A lot of relatives. Some I like more than others, but I'm glad they're alive.
01:54:01
Speaker
I do have great friends. And Lord, I want us all to see tomorrow. Elongate our days, extend our days with your hand of protection. Now I wasn't intercessor back then. I wasn't praying for a fiery wall of protection and smear us in the blood.
01:54:20
Speaker
No, I was just like, you know, keep us safe. um I pray that none of us will die in a car crash or an accident today, God. You're so good. Thank you, Jesus.
01:54:31
Speaker
I began to say in his name very emphatically, hoping he'd accept my apology. Thank you, Jesus. I speak in Jesus. In Jesus' s name, amen. Well, as the rest of the day went on, I completely forgot all about that prayer.
01:54:46
Speaker
But then the next day, fast forward 25 hours. So went to university, went home, went back, arrived. So we're now 25 hours in the future.
01:54:58
Speaker
And I was sitting, waiting for class. I had an hour period of sitting around doing nothing while waiting for my class. I started at 10. And one of my friends, Suzanne, came along. She looked like a Barbie doll. Really, really pretty. and Such a s sweet personality.
01:55:15
Speaker
And she came walking. I was like, hey, Susie Q. And she was like, Brendan, hi. And I said, how's it going? And she like, ah, look at the clips. You'll never guess what happened yesterday. and i was like, then you might as well tell me if I'll never guess.
01:55:31
Speaker
but And she said, i was driving home from work. And the tires of your car are supposed to be facing this way. She said, something happened.
01:55:45
Speaker
And her tires went horizontal.
01:55:49
Speaker
Flipped her car off the road. over a hedge into a field, good down in the field, and she just sat there frozen, paralyzed with fear.
01:56:06
Speaker
She said her door was wedged up against the hedge so she couldn't open it, even if she tried. And then smoke began coming up out the bonnet. She said, this thing is going to blow. This is going explode.
01:56:20
Speaker
So she tried to open her door, couldn't, the hedge was it was too tightly clicked close to the hedge. So she had to wheel down the passenger window, climb out the passenger window, and there must been another hedge block the door, crawled out, ran across the field, climbed up a hill, jumped over a fence with great difficulty, and stood on the side of the road waving for half an hour before someone stopped and pulled in to help her.
01:56:49
Speaker
Which made sense. mean, they couldn't see her car. They probably just thought, this is a crazy lady. and The car was so badly damaged, she had to pay to get the car scrapped.
01:57:03
Speaker
But there was not a single scratch in her body.
01:57:07
Speaker
The enemy had sent a spirit of death to kill her that day. And if I had not prayed for her, I didn't know i was praying for her. i was just praying for people in general.
01:57:19
Speaker
But if I hadn't prayed, she would have died that day. Her timeline would have been cut off. Her destiny would never have been fulfilled. For myself, and just before the November they revival in February, yeah and i know one morning, Martina, just here, had a dream about a car crash happening on purpose.
01:57:43
Speaker
An intentional car crash. So we prayed at 6am in the morning against us And we prayed for all the volunteers of that revival. It would all be A-OK.
01:57:56
Speaker
And two nights before the revival, this the revival was on a Saturday, day so this was the Thursday, I drove to the airport to collect the pianist, the piano player.
01:58:13
Speaker
We drove out to Sandiford in County Dublin, and then we were driving back and through a town called Ashburn. It starts off for Tote in Ashburn. And the road is a 100 kilometer per hour road when you're driving.
01:58:28
Speaker
There are no rights or left. It's just a road. There's a white van ahead of me. And he was going at the right speed, guys at the right speed. God spoke to me and said, swerve left.
01:58:43
Speaker
And I thought myself, good one. Well, next thing, the van stopped stone dead in the road while I'm going at 100 kilometers per hour.
01:58:59
Speaker
I was like, well, let me tell you, swerved left. I almost hit a road sign. I almost drove straight into a wall. I was up on the grass. I was no longer on the road.
01:59:11
Speaker
But swerving left saved our lives. But next thing he turns on the ignition again. And then he drives up on the grass at a diagonal against the wall, hemming me in.
01:59:27
Speaker
And thankfully I stopped the car just before hitting him. I must've been like this close away from his car. So he stopped the car in the middle of road so that I would hit him and either I would die Or I would damage his van and have to give him money.
01:59:43
Speaker
When he saw me swerving left in accordance with the word of God. He swerved left, turned his car, his van back on, swerved left. Hemming me in, blocking me so I couldn't burn the grass.
01:59:54
Speaker
Again, trying to kill us. Or trying to make me crash into him to give him money. Because he's in a van, he probably would have survived anyway. I might not have And then I went, whoop, whoop.
02:00:07
Speaker
oh we've talking on the right and sped off thinking, what the heck just happened there?
02:00:12
Speaker
Well, he tailgated me for 10, 15, 20 minutes. And I had this much from my car. Eventually I got to Slane Castle. Those in Ireland will know, some you might know where this is, Slane Castle.
02:00:29
Speaker
And we had to stop at red lights. And... There's a wall with white crosses where a lot of children died in a car crash decades ago. I was very young. Maybe I wasn't even born yet, but decades ago.
02:00:43
Speaker
And this is basically, it's a death wall, effectively. And I had to stop because there were four red lights. So if you didn't see one, you saw the other three. So I stopped and he came right up close to me.
02:00:55
Speaker
the okay trying to intimidate heck of me. And I was like, I'm not moving. Hands on the wheels, like, protect me, Jesus, protect me, Jesus, protect me, Jesus, protect me, Jesus. And the next thing, the lights are still red.
02:01:09
Speaker
He goes, reverses, speeds past me and misses my my mirror, my external mirror by this much. And with the lights red, speeds through and drives out of sight.
02:01:21
Speaker
He had murder or money on his mind. And he was willing to risk my life to hurt his van, to destroy, damage his damaged van in the hope he might make some money off me.
02:01:37
Speaker
And the word of God just came to me, spirit of death, spirit of death, spirit of that spirit death, spirit of death. But Martina and I had prayed a couple of mornings beforehand. man God gave the word, we prayed.
02:01:51
Speaker
So when in the spirit realm, So when the enemy attacked in the physical realm, it had already been dealt with. She could have chosen not to share that prayer. She could have said, i need to stop watching Fast and the Furious.
02:02:06
Speaker
After we made the third movie, no one needs nine movies in a franchise. She could have just laid it down to just my imagination. No point praying. If we hadn't prayed, either I would be dead, or I would have a lot less money than I currently have.
02:02:24
Speaker
but but but But the will of God is that his people live and not die. The will of God is that his people prosper. And that includes financially. A lot of people say money is a bad word in Christendom.
02:02:37
Speaker
It's biblical. So your destiny can be... This is like the longest answer ever given to a question. I hope that you find this interesting, everybody. else
02:02:49
Speaker
but But your destiny can be stolen. Or... your destiny can be pushed back. Yeah. And what some people do is they waste time and they risk losing their destiny because they're convinced, ah, sure.
02:03:10
Speaker
It's going to happen anyway. Not necessarily. i I'll be honest. I know women who've been promised a husband. But I look at how they treat their fathers. I look how they treat their brothers.
02:03:23
Speaker
I listen to how they speak about their male cousins. And I think, sorry, Chikatita, Mr. Right might be out there, but right now you are Miss Wrong.
02:03:37
Speaker
There might be a man of God the Lord's made for you. Are you living like you're the woman for him? Because so help me. If I have to do deliverance on a man who's heartbroken because his wife treats him like crap, I'm coming for you. Yeah.
02:03:55
Speaker
I'll be sending you a text message saying, I know what you said to him three nights ago. that They take it for granted. They hear the word from God because they don't want the word of God fulfilled in their lives. Not really.
02:04:09
Speaker
They just want a word from God and they can dangle it like a carrot. But actually, they're tempting fate, if you will. They're taking the word of God as a joke.
02:04:21
Speaker
um And that's because they take Jesus for a joke. They just

Overcoming Loneliness and Fear

02:04:26
Speaker
assume, well, he loves me anyway. Yeah, but do you think he likes gratitude?
02:04:32
Speaker
Because he doesn't. Or those of us who choose to be in a victim mentality and again, I've been there. But now I won't tolerate it in my life.
02:04:43
Speaker
Something happened to me but a month ago that made me really upset. I gave myself two days in bed to feel sad about it. Then I got up and scrubbed myself off and I got back to work.
02:04:54
Speaker
then because I refuse. I'm not, i used to be feelings averse. I used to be afraid of feelings, afraid of emotions. Now I'm okay. I appreciate that they exist, that they're real, but I won't be a slave to them.
02:05:09
Speaker
I won't be in bondage to them. And I used to be, I used to let myself go there. Now won't let myself go there. It frustrates some people that I'm not more emotional.
02:05:21
Speaker
frustrates some people then I don't always give them the emotional response that they think their problem deserves but it's because I know that if you choose to live there it's a destiny thief and it's a destiny thief of your own creation and you can blame the devil but if you chose to feel that way and you chose to meditate on it, and you chose to fixate on it, and you chose to be bound by it, and you chose to denigrate the word of God to nothing so you can live in that place, it makes the person completely, solely culpable and complicit with the trap and the bondage that they find themselves in.
02:06:11
Speaker
And I used to do it. And I was very comfortable there. And living in that prison was a lot easier than the bravery it took to get out.
02:06:25
Speaker
Living in a prison, I could control. i knew how many square feet, sorry, how many meters squared my prison cell was.
02:06:36
Speaker
I knew what time the lights went on, what time in the evening lights went off. I knew when my telly time was. I knew when you were allowed to play pool. I knew when you had to go outside and start smashing stones in your orange jumpsuit.
02:06:53
Speaker
I could work the prison, my clockwork.
02:06:58
Speaker
Leaving that prison and saying, Jesus, if you exist, I need to see you speak in the first line, the first page I look at. Hmm. that for me to lot of courage when jesus actually started giving me friends i had a wonderful time with the friends the first day i was like god i love these people i could be their friend forever the next day i literally avoided spending time with them during the lunch break at school because i was absolutely terrified what if i love these people and i lose them
02:07:37
Speaker
I had the shock of my life when I got home and they texted me to ask, Hey, Brendan, we didn't see you today, missed are you okay? I literally sent them a text saying I had slipped in the bathroom, hit my head off the ceramic sink, had fallen unconscious, and had to be taken away by ambulance, that I'd been locked away in a hospital and had only just gotten home.
02:07:59
Speaker
Salute. Madness. This was day two of me having friends. And the shocking thing is, one of them... I was in a class with in the afternoon. So he knew that was a lie. And he was like, that's not true. yes What are you saying?
02:08:15
Speaker
And then the third day, I had to go in and explain myself. Sorry. I'm a dude and I had a panic attack. that's And then I just said, Jesus, how did this become my life?
02:08:26
Speaker
No, no, no. I can't be that guy. No. Sounds crazy and bizarre. But I was actually ready to lose them.
02:08:40
Speaker
Because I was used to being lonely. I was used to having nobody. So the idea of actually having friends was actually more terrifying to me than the idea of living alone forever.
02:08:53
Speaker
And then I had to start working that out. And then said, God, if I'm going to have friends, I need to develop a personality. So and just this is just me being transparent, more transparent than I usually am.
02:09:04
Speaker
I went on... yeah That's your good. I can't believe this was literally my life. I went on Google. I don't even know if Google Chrome exists when I was 15. Maybe it did.
02:09:17
Speaker
going to say Google. And I... What the biggest show back then? Desperate Housewives. I typed in Desperate Housewives funny quotes. And I wrote... think I printed off a list of them for my dad's computer.
02:09:31
Speaker
There were no laptops in our house back then. It was a big chunky... Computers. And I said, okay, I'm going to learn a few of these Desperate Housewife quotes a day. And I'm going to find a way to work them into conversation.
02:09:45
Speaker
Every lunch break. And they were like, Bren, you're so funny. You're hilarious. Where did you come up with all this? And I was like, this is my imagination. It's how it works.
02:09:57
Speaker
I was quoting Brie, Vandy Campbell, Annette Scavo, Gabrielle Solis, Susan Meyer, whoever else in the show. Until one day one of them watched the show on TV and was like, hang on a second.
02:10:08
Speaker
You've never told a funny joke in your life that original. You're just stealing them from the show. But with that stage, you know, we we were we were tight. They weren't going to abandon me or reject me. Yeah. What else?
02:10:20
Speaker
All the insane, crazy things that I do make friends. Then I went online and I said interesting things to say in a conversation to make people like you.
02:10:31
Speaker
I didn't know all the buzzwords back then. You can just type in like, you know words or phrases. i had to go with the full sentence in the search engine. And then I was like nod when people speak.
02:10:43
Speaker
Oh, but that makes it sound like I agree. And God, what if they're singing? And then another one was like you know, ask follow questions. and i was like, but God, I don't butt really want to know about their lives, do I?
02:10:57
Speaker
that what friends do? Am am I supposed to care? um And another one said something like, that's
02:11:07
Speaker
what the website say. um Try telling a funny joke. it's God, I don't know any jokes. So I think I got like penguin bars. I don't know have them in Norway. and For like, you know, for lunch.
02:11:20
Speaker
And it's got a picture of a penguin. It's a chocolate biscuit bar. in the back, they would have like m ah a frost or a snow themed joke. Oh, okay. And this is me like in the middle of May, the middle of summer, telling like, know, jokes about snow. You know, what do you get if you cross Santa Claus and Sherlock Holmes?
02:11:41
Speaker
Santa Claus. And then I'd ask the same question. What do you get if you cause Sherlock Holmes and Santa Claus? Santa. ho ho holmes I mean, pathetic.
02:11:57
Speaker
But you have to start somewhere. But for me, the prison was easier. than going to those websites and looking up funny things to say in a conversation how to make friends just that's my quotes i could control the victimization yeah because i was only responsible for myself there was no one else in my life who needed me or wanted me or wanted me from me so i felt safer here and i'm going to be perfectly honest with your friends i still do
02:12:33
Speaker
If a day is rare, exceptionally rare, once or twice a year, if a day passes and no one messages me on WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, I only ever look at those infrequently, but on WhatsApp, no one messages me.
02:12:49
Speaker
I think that, oh God, I remember how lovely it was not to have people in my life. It was not lovely. It was a prison.
02:13:01
Speaker
No. But my personality is introverted.
02:13:06
Speaker
But what I was used to, my stronghold, my frame of reference was rejection, was abandonment, was forsaken, was not good enough, was unseen, was invisible, was I'm just a poor boy. Nobody loves me. I could die now and no one would cry at my funeral.
02:13:24
Speaker
That was my mentality. So i am only ever person decision. Not one bad day. Not 24 hours. I am only ever one decision away from locking myself back in here.
02:13:41
Speaker
But I have to go on a journey every second of the day. And sometimes I get it better than I do other day on other days. Well, I have to make it a decision not to be a victim.

Daily Victory over Victimhood

02:13:53
Speaker
Because if I choose to be, well, the destiny God has for me will go unfulfilled. and the people that God has entrusted to me, there are things that I have to share that he wants them to know.
02:14:08
Speaker
There are things he wants me to walk through with them that no one else in their world will. yeah There are people in my world who aren't saved yet. And God has told me you are imperative to their destiny.
02:14:23
Speaker
They're under your spiritual covering. They are your responsibility. It's your job to bind the words spoken over them, to loose the words of heaven over them. And if you're not there, who else in your world is going to?
02:14:38
Speaker
Either another one of his kids is going to have to take on more responsibilities, more work, or they will not fulfill their destiny because I chose not to do my part.
02:14:49
Speaker
So I know that's an exceptionally long answer to what was a short question. I'll wrap it up there. But victimization, I have reached a point in my life where I have a zero tolerance policy for it.
02:15:07
Speaker
As I've been there. At that time, i had spent most of my life there. And there was there's nothing to be gained. There's a heaven to gain.
02:15:19
Speaker
There's a hell to beat. If you live in victimization, you are not beating hell, but other people are losing their chance for heaven. So we can't justify it.
02:15:32
Speaker
might have been a short question, but it was... It was a deep question, was a good question. Deep question, because it's connected, right, also to what I'm going through. And it's I think it's amazing how transparent you are, and I think it's very important. and I had a privilege to meet your father, Tommy, picking me up at the airport, spending, we actually had lunch together, and so, spending a couple of hours in his car, driving around, I don't know where, i've know the back roads mark
02:16:04
Speaker
um We he ended up in the wrong place with Satanists and everything. So that was okay.
02:16:18
Speaker
ah and and the And you know, for me, losing everything, losing my family, losing everything. Brandon, you were really in a dark place because your father was such an amazing man. I just wanted to, you know, put him in my pocket and bring him back home to Norway so I could just lean on it on him because he was such a
02:16:44
Speaker
you know, some people give you space. He just gave me the space and and he was listening and I was a little bit because he was I'm not used to people. um
02:17:01
Speaker
I'm used to people looking at me, but looking down, you know. but so Yeah, he was like, oh, so so this is what you grew up with, right? this is This is your father. So how can you even think that you have no value? In my head, that's like, wow.
02:17:18
Speaker
Yes. Oh, my world. I never had that. I never had that. I don't mean to be a victim but because I'm not. yeah But yeah, so this is why I i realize the depth in in in in yeah in understanding that the road is narrow and few people are able to find it because there is so many things that you have to
02:17:49
Speaker
It's all about choosing in the right way, the right path, doing the right thing is so difficult. It's so difficult to pull yourself out of the victim victim victimhood also.
02:18:02
Speaker
It's because suddenly you are in you are a victim. Yeah. Yeah. So it's so hard, but everything is connected. Yeah. And the best thing by pulling yourself out of the victimhood is that you get to this, you call it the S phase, but i you use the S word, I use the F word. Yeah.
02:18:23
Speaker
And i'm very happy that I can say I'm done. Amen. Amen. Good, just good. And I just want to make this crystal so clear to anyone who might be like, gosh, if have a problem, I can't go to Brindon by the side.
02:18:38
Speaker
There is a difference between in your brokenness, in your despair, in your grief, looking to someone for help and support. We are all God's kids. It's our job to help each other. That's that's one thing.
02:18:50
Speaker
When I say victimization, I'm talking specifically the mentality of choosing to stay there. Just in case there's any but there any questions, in case anyone's but confused.
02:19:00
Speaker
Just case I put this up on the big bad world of YouTube and someone just hates Christians and is like, he's a depressed people, he's a depressed people, go to hell. Yeah, that's disclaimer notice, okay?
02:19:13
Speaker
Get some help. and but that But receive the help. I don't live there. And so just a quick look in the chat box. And so they may God punish the idols of this world the way he did. on the giha see Yes, I see i agree.
02:19:31
Speaker
We come close to his children. no more be people who live under fear. Slaves of lust and living like whatever that is, which is what Egypt's royal system makes humanity, make them close to God, never any day that he was flipped for us. Amen. Amazing.
02:19:49
Speaker
ah My Tina Chikatita. Chikatita has recently become one of my favorite words. I think I saw a clip from like that Mamma Mia movie and I just said, Chikatita, tell me what's wrong. So that's just in my head now, yeah.
02:20:04
Speaker
Alright, well Anne Catherine, since you have just made that bold comment that you know you are free from victimization and you're free and free indeed, will you please pray for Kitty?
02:20:17
Speaker
Kitty Toner is just here on the on screen. Kitty has a bad chest infection, a very bad headaches and backache.
02:20:31
Speaker
Okay, so bad chest infection. Headaches and backache. And will you please loose, release the goodness of God and his healing touch and his restoration over Kitty right now?
02:20:49
Speaker
so think I have that victim mentality too. Come again, Kitty? I think I have that victim mentality like it's It never ends, you know, my whole life.
02:21:01
Speaker
Okay, well. With sickness, with pain, with... Yeah. Oh. Yeah, well, listen, as of today, Kitty, you make a decision, just like I had to reach a point to make that decision, to choose no longer a slave.
02:21:16
Speaker
No longer living under it. And, yeah, I have to make that decision every day. And I'd like to say it gets easier. It doesn't necessarily. But it's an everyday decision and and it's necessary so make it every day. And there's no time like the present. When I put this up on YouTube, even if you have to rewatch this last hour me to the top of the victimization mentality and had to break it and give it up and choosing, nope, not my portion, not good enough.
02:21:49
Speaker
I refuse. Watch it and drill it into your head and your heart until you know that you know that you know You're not a victim, you're a victor. You're not defeated, but you have a defeated enemy who is under defeat of the righteous.
02:22:06
Speaker
You have not been conquered, you're more than a conqueror. I want you, Kitty, right now to establish a pose of receiving. and gay Hands in the air, receiving from Jesus.
02:22:17
Speaker
And I can please pray the healing power of Jesus over Kitty. And Kitty, you just received.
02:22:27
Speaker
um Yes. Hallelujah. Father, i lift up Kitty to you. Father God.
02:22:39
Speaker
And I ask you, take your precious daughter and remove, just remove every spirit of infection for her chest.
02:22:56
Speaker
In Jesus' mighty name, i remove the infection in her chest. Oh my God. The pain in her back.
02:23:08
Speaker
Oh. and the headache in Jesus mighty name. The whole mind battling spirit in Jesus mighty name. We break it loose.
02:23:20
Speaker
We break it off her in Jesus mighty name. Right now in Jesus name. Up and out in Jesus mighty name. In Jesus mighty name.
02:23:32
Speaker
it In Jesus name. the pain in a chest, up and out, in Jesus' name, in Jesus' name, up and out, open your mouth, open your mouth, open your mouth, thank you, up and out, in Jesus' mighty name, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I detach the spirit of infirmity,
02:24:00
Speaker
spirit of infirmity and all mind battling spirits in Jesus mighty name. Every word spoken over you in Jesus mighty name.
02:24:12
Speaker
I burn it. I burn it up. I burn it.
02:24:21
Speaker
We make it go to zero, zero. No words. No words. uttered, spoken over you in Jesus' mighty name, will have life anymore in Jesus' name. burn it up in Jesus' name.
02:24:45
Speaker
Every word spoken over you and against you in Jesus' mighty name, ah detach it in Jesus' name, in Jesus' mighty name.
02:25:01
Speaker
In Jesus' name, all the way, remove the pain all the way,
02:25:13
Speaker
all the way, in Jesus' mighty name. How are you feeling, Kitty? Same. How are you feeling? Same.
02:25:25
Speaker
Same? Yeah? You close your eyes and reach you take your hand out like this to receive. Yeah. Yes.
02:25:37
Speaker
Yeah. Yes. So receive the words. Receive the words from me. All right? Yes.
02:25:48
Speaker
So in Jesus' mighty name, he's after me. I am not a victim. I am not victim. I am a child. I am a child. and hard Up and out of the chest. Up and out of the chest.
02:26:07
Speaker
Up and out. Let it come out. All the way. is All the way. oh All the way. Every word.
02:26:18
Speaker
Repeat after me. Every word spoken spoken to me. um spoken to me Oh. I do not receive anymore.
02:26:30
Speaker
Do not receive anymore. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Mighty name of Jesus Christ. I delete every word. to delete every word.
02:26:44
Speaker
That has hit my soul. That has hit my soul. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. In the mighty name of Jesus. Jesus. Amen. no Jesus Christ. Jesus.
02:27:00
Speaker
Jesus Christ. Jesus. Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. All the way. Receive the words.
02:27:11
Speaker
Let them hit your soul. Let them hit your brain.
02:27:17
Speaker
receive Receive the words into your heart.
02:27:25
Speaker
How are you

Healing and Encouragement

02:27:26
Speaker
feeling now? Oh, same. The who You have to believe, okay? You have to believe it's spoken over you.
02:27:38
Speaker
Oh, it's just this thing is in my gut. And I just found out today that the medication is actually destroying my immune system.
02:27:55
Speaker
That's why I got the chest infection as well. well um It's a fungal infection. So I can't take antibiotics. i can't I can't be treated, you know.
02:28:09
Speaker
um Yes, you can. You can treated by heaven, Kitty. Kitty, I see god can is martin a bright blue liquids pouring down inside of you the healing touch of jesus even as you sleep tonight i want you to rest in the prayer that i katherine's just lifted up and undoubtedly those of us who are sitting here are saying yes and amen come on her jesus us
02:28:40
Speaker
I want you to rest in every prayer that's just been lifted up and let the Lord even touch you tonight and do a deep work on the inside.
02:28:53
Speaker
your The healing balm of Gilead, soothing and softening and healing the inside of you bit by bit.
02:29:05
Speaker
Day after day. Don't despise the days of small beginnings,
02:29:13
Speaker
but just let the word that's been released be put to work on the inside of you. Let these words be like a blanket that has just been wrapped around you.
02:29:29
Speaker
and
02:29:32
Speaker
like a blanket and a dressing gown and a hot water bottle all at once just wrapped around you to heat you up burn out anything that's not of God so that only what it is of God remains you wrap yourself up and then you let the word be put to work and when thoughts come to your mind like you know Well, that was a waste of prayer.
02:29:58
Speaker
Why'd I bother sitting under that? Or, ah, sure, I didn't want her to pray. I wanted someone else for it. Whatever thoughts the enemy might send your way, you bind them and you say, nope. I settled for God's word.
02:30:10
Speaker
The word of healing was released. And that is the word that I choose to sit under. That is the word I choose to stand on. in Another thing you can Kitsie, my dad did this when he had kidney disease.
02:30:24
Speaker
He got a list of Bible verses on healing. you can get them up on your phone. And he would stand on a Bible, a physical Bible, and read out the Bible verses.
02:30:38
Speaker
And he said, I am standing on the word of God. I am standing on the literal word of God, fighting for my healing, fighting for my freedom.
02:30:55
Speaker
So that's what I want you to do tonight. I don't know why I can't. I can't seem to ah speak the word, you know? i know it in my heart, but I can't seem to speak it out, you know?
02:31:13
Speaker
But you know what, Kitty? This is part of the of tearing down the prison. The stronghold literally means the fortress or prison.
02:31:24
Speaker
And this will be part and parcel of tearing down the stronghold. And it's part of the victim mentality is you know what's in your head that it's the word of God, but you have to know and believe it for yourself.
02:31:40
Speaker
And sometimes we find it easier to believe in God's goodness for others and not for ourselves. That's not a good thing. We need to know that we know that we know that the love he has for others is the same love that he has for us.
02:31:55
Speaker
and to get it up on your phone and stand in your Bible instead standing your Word God. it is the only sure foundation. It's the Rock of Ages.
02:32:06
Speaker
and Or you read through your Bible and you highlight all the passages on healing and breakthrough and deliverance and restoration.
02:32:17
Speaker
And instead of i or you or your, name in there. put's own name in there by Jesus stripes, I, Kitty, am healed. and Jesus heals all of Kitty's diseases.
02:32:39
Speaker
Put your own name in and there. Claim those promises by yourself. And it might seem strange at the start because it might be a different language than you're used to.
02:32:50
Speaker
a different way of praying or speaking over yourself than you used to than you're used to. You're so good at loving other people that perhaps you're actually, there's been a love deficit for yourself.
02:33:02
Speaker
And need to claim that back. And it's a skill and it's the discipline, the discipline. And it doesn't always come naturally to us, but it's essential that you claim it for yourself. Otherwise, what happens is you'll see everyone else in life get their answer prayer, get their miracle, get their breakthrough, get their whatever it is.
02:33:24
Speaker
you'll be wondering, God, when is it my turn? Maybe it never will be. Maybe they pray better than I do. Maybe they don't like my prayers. And the victim mentality gets even stronger and stronger and stronger and more and more reinforced.
02:33:40
Speaker
The enemy sends more concrete blocks and you're adding more and more wet cement. So your challenge now, after what you've just heard this last hour and 15 hour 20 minutes is to seize that victimization teaching that I gave spontaneously for yourself not to let the word of God be wasted I don't share wasted wisdom
02:34:13
Speaker
I only went there because I believe there was something in it that God's people needed. And I hadn't planned it, hadn't scripted it. Whatever I came out with, I came out with. I have to trust that God was over that.
02:34:25
Speaker
But now you have to seize that for yourself. Just wanted to add quickly for you, Kitty. It is what i hear in your voice is that you need to speak about things in your life.
02:34:43
Speaker
Sometimes it's okay to just speak it out because Jesus is with you. So sometimes when you speak it out, you confirm it.
02:34:55
Speaker
And normally I speak it out like three times, around three times. Because i am when I speak it out, I'm also confessing and saying, I understand this is my problem.
02:35:12
Speaker
And I want to do something about it. And that can also set you free. Because you have to tell Jesus that I understand.
02:35:25
Speaker
and that you understand that this is the problem. Or if you don't understand it speak it out anyway. Say, this is hurting me. I am hurt by this and this and this.
02:35:35
Speaker
And you go again and you say, I am hurt. Speak it out loud. And then he will take you to the next level. then Lean into him.
02:35:46
Speaker
Close your eyes. Do this in meditation. Just go again and again. Until you are. Because he will take you through it. because jesus Is Jesus big enough to handle your feelings? He's big enough to handle your frustrations. yeah He's big enough to handle your pain.
02:36:04
Speaker
I had to get to a point. Where I had to tell him I'm not okay. Yeah. I had to get to a point where I had to tell him, God Almighty, this 15-year-old, not-nosed, arrogant, thinks he's better than everyone else brat, I andm gonna blackmail you.
02:36:25
Speaker
That's the point I got to. It sounds ridiculous, but I was honest and transparent and vulnerable before him. um Don't be afraid of breaking before him.
02:36:37
Speaker
Don't be afraid of pouring all your oil. He knows. He knows. He knows. He knows that anyway. He knows it anyway. And I am a strong Norwegian woman, one third of Scottish blood. And I am, so you know, close my mouth.
02:36:56
Speaker
But Jesus teach me to speak it out. And he also said, well, now you spoke the truth. He knows everything.
02:37:06
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. I suppose it's...
02:37:14
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. It's really but fairly like a a fear of... of
02:37:24
Speaker
You know, was always taught to be positive and speak the word. and But you can be honest before God, Kitty. yeah i've so I've heard Christian say that too.
02:37:35
Speaker
yeah um They don't want any honesty whatsoever. They just want people to speak in scripture all the time. but read the book of Psalms. They are people speaking honestly to the Lord about the good, the bad and the ugly.
02:37:53
Speaker
Because there's no point lying to God. He is love himself. You have to be wise with who you talk to in a human sense. You have be wise who you're transparent with to other humans.
02:38:06
Speaker
But don't lie to God. You know the truth anyway. Now, Kajal wants to pray for you as well, okay? And again, Kajal, get into a posture of receiving and choose to receive the word before it's even administered.
02:38:20
Speaker
Good night, Steve. Thanks so much for joining. And then, Carolina, I'm going pray for you and then we'll wrap up, okay? So, Kajal, off you go. Thank you. Kajal. I just would like to pray for you because I've been through similar situations, so I just feel like ah i would like to I would like the Holy Spirit to interested in on your behalf.

In Jesus' name we pray.
02:43:01
Speaker
Amen. Amen. Thank you. Thank you. Lord, thank you, Jesus. Lord, while the faith is accelerating all around our homes and the group and the nation, Lord God, for healing, lift special individuals, Lord.
02:43:25
Speaker
Carolina's father and Diane Catherine. Lord, as Diane Catherine is just refreshed, Kitty, and I believe by her victimization question, everyone who was on the group, I've been told to what it led to. Maybe this by extension.
02:43:45
Speaker
Lord, you say that those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. you So Jesus, as she has helped through her contributions, even in her participation,
02:43:58
Speaker
to give people a leg up on their journey, leg up on their healing journey, ah leg up on their journey to defeat the victimization mentality and stronghold and to be free and free indeed.
02:44:14
Speaker
Lord, heal Anne Catherine's leg. a Her knee pain, Lord Jesus, her left knee. Take it in your hands right now, Lord Jesus.
02:44:26
Speaker
Jesus. And extract the pain. It's just like he's pulling out roll of skulls.
02:44:38
Speaker
And instead, Lord Jesus.
02:44:44
Speaker
Breathe your Ruach breath. Your prophetic breath. you lifegiving your your prophetic utterances breath, your creative miracle breath, your creative imagination breath onto left knee.
02:45:17
Speaker
that she will be able to raise it up, oh God, with no pain, stretch it out, with no pain, walk on it, with no pain, put the pressure on her foot, with no pain, Lord Jesus, healing and restoration are proportion.
02:45:36
Speaker
Jesus, you took all our sorrow, all our pain, our anguish, emotional, mental, and physical on yourself, on that cross, You said it's finished.
02:45:49
Speaker
You buried it. And you rose again in new life. And we declare that new life over Anne Catherine's left knee.
02:46:02
Speaker
And Lord God, we also declare it over Carolina's father.
02:46:08
Speaker
Lord, kidney problems, high blood pressure and diabetes, are problems that my family and relatives have known well, especially kidney disease.
02:46:24
Speaker
But Lord, I've seen you kick kidney disease to the curb, to kick the teeth and the fangs out of the enemy enemy's jaws, oh God, regardless of kidney disease in my own life, in my dad's life, brother.
02:46:39
Speaker
So Lord Jesus, for her father, who's been plagued, with heart problems, kidney problems, high blood pressure and diabetes. The Lord go with him and before him into the operation tomorrow.
02:46:55
Speaker
Lord God, we lift up before you all the medical personnel who will be involved in this operation. The doctors, the surgeons, the nurses,
