Awesome.

Introduction and Overview

00:00:04
Speaker
All right, guys, you're all incredibly welcome today to Discipleship. I think it's number nine. and it's Moses, part three.

Moses' Encounters and Symbolism

00:00:19
Speaker
So we start off by looking at Moses' life in Egypt. Then last week, we had a look at some of his encounters with the Lord's. in the wilderness years, so across 40 year span.
00:00:36
Speaker
Today we're going to focus specifically on Exodus 24 to we're going to look at the tabernacle, the tent of meeting.
00:00:49
Speaker
It's basically like a mobile temple that the Hebrews, the Israelites would use in order to connect with the Lord and worship him. So in Exodus, the second book in the Bible, chapter 24, verses 9 to 18, it says this.
00:01:09
Speaker
Moses and his biological brother Aaron, who was three years older than him, Nadab and Abihu and the 70 elders of Israel went up and saw the God of Israel. Okay, so they can see God.
00:01:23
Speaker
This isn't, you know, they're dreaming symbolically. They can actually physically see him. Now, Jesus says in John 1.18 that no one in the Old Testament had ever seen God the Father.
00:01:38
Speaker
So what does that mean? It means the God of Israel is Jesus. They're looking at Jesus.
00:01:47
Speaker
Under his feet was something like a pavement made of sapphire, clear as the sky itself. The word there for pavement is related to the Hebrew word for whiteness. It's like he was standing on this bright platform and this light was just radiating from under him out of him.
00:02:10
Speaker
Think of how later on, you know, Moses would talk to the Lord face to face as though to a friend. And then the light would start shining out of his face and he had to wear a veil and to ah to hold it in.
00:02:23
Speaker
In the same way, the light the Lord is light. He is the light of the world. He is the light from Genesis 1, chapter 3. Light be. Let there be light. That was Jesus' light he shone. There was no sun till day 4. It was Jesus shining his own light.
00:02:41
Speaker
And here he still has the light in him, under him, all around shining through him.
00:02:50
Speaker
But God did not raise his hands against these leaders of the Israelites. They saw God and they ate and drank. So to see God the Father would be quite impossible because he is perfect light.
00:03:04
Speaker
Humans were in darkness. If Father God were to shine his light, all the humans would have died But with Jesus, there were times when he would not let people look at him face to face.
00:03:15
Speaker
And then there were times when he was okay with them coming into the presence of his glory.

Tabernacle and Offerings' Symbolism

00:03:21
Speaker
The Lord, is Jesus, said to Moses, come up to me in the mountain and stay here and I will give you the tablets of stone with the law and commands I've written for their instruction.
00:03:34
Speaker
They're the Ten Commandments. Then Moses set out with Joshua, his aid, and Moses went up on the mountain of God. He said to the elders, wait here for us until we come back to you. Aaron and her are with you.
00:03:50
Speaker
And anyone involved a dispute can go to them. Now little did he realize this darling big brother he was untrusting was basically going to screw him over with the golden calf incident. That's what happened next.
00:04:06
Speaker
When Moses went up on the mountain, the cloud covered it. This is a glory cloud, the Shekinah glory of God. And the glory of the Lord settled on Mount Sinai.
00:04:19
Speaker
Sometimes called Mount Horeb, it's the same mountain.
00:04:25
Speaker
For six days the cloud covered the mountain. And on the seventh day, the Lord called to Moses from within the cloud. So Moses was summoned up by the Lord, but there was a waiting period.
00:04:39
Speaker
There was a period of, okay, you just hang on there and you wait until the Lord Jesus addresses you specifically, invites you specifically.
00:04:49
Speaker
To the Israelites, the glory of the Lord looked like a consuming fire on top of the mountain. Then Moses entered the cloud as he went up on the mountain and he stayed on the mountain 40 days and 40 nights.
00:05:01
Speaker
and forty nights which turned out to be a time of testing for the Israelites below, test that they absolutely failed. So across those 40 days and 40 nights, Moses was given incredible revelation from the Lord, as well as instructions.
00:05:20
Speaker
Here's one of them. 25, 3 to 7. These are the offerings you are to receive from the people. Gold,
00:05:31
Speaker
which is a color of royalty, and Jesus is the King of Israel and the King of heaven. It's an incorruptible material or metal, in the same way that Jesus is God and God is absolutely good and there is no evil in him.
00:05:52
Speaker
Silver, the precious metal silver, the element. Silver represents redemption.
00:06:02
Speaker
Redemption means to buy something back, to purchase it, to call it your own, to make someone, and maybe you're your kinsman redeemer, you're buying one of your own people back to you.
00:06:17
Speaker
They become your closest relative, but the same way we are children of God. To redeem means to buy someone because you want them, because you wish to.
00:06:32
Speaker
They're also told um to offer up the element bronze. Bronze, if you're taking notes, represents judgment.
00:06:46
Speaker
Think of when the Israelites in the Numbers 22, I think it is, and were sinning and snakes came and began to bite the people as punishment for their wickedness.
00:06:58
Speaker
And they said, Moses, help us! And Lord said, okay, Moses, hold up a pole with a bronze snake around it. People will look at the thing that's attacking them.
00:07:12
Speaker
You could say, you know, it's the Satan, it's the evil, and the force of evil, the the the demonic. You could say they would look up and see their own sin hanging on that tree, hanging on that pole.
00:07:25
Speaker
And looking up at this
00:07:30
Speaker
metal worked symbol of the very thing that is killing them, they'd be healed, they'd be saved, they'd be restored. And that's how we ultimately got saved.
00:07:43
Speaker
Jesus became sin for us. We look at Christ crucified. We see our sinful state crucified. We see our sin hated by God, afflicted, our agony punished by God and sent to hell.
00:08:01
Speaker
List some colors too. They're able to bring blue yarn. Blue represents divinity, the world of heaven.
00:08:13
Speaker
Blue also represents healing. Think of, think it's Numbers 19, and there was a woman and with a 12, well, sorry, in Numbers 19, they would wear blue tassels at the end of their cloaks, bottom of their cloaks.
00:08:30
Speaker
And it was a way, one, that they would know that there were God's people, and two, to bring to mind his commands and his promises. And then in Jesus' life, you had a woman who had a 12-year-long issue of blood, and she was a bit of a cue hopper, actually. Jesus was speaking to a man called Jairus, whose daughter was sick, and she was also 12.
00:08:51
Speaker
I wonder if that girl was born the day this woman got sick. Who knows? And while Jesus is speaking to this girl's father, this cue jumper comes along, this woman, and no one was in the queue for her. no one and was standing up for her. No one wanted to be around her. She was seen as ritually unclean.
00:09:09
Speaker
But she reached out and grabbed the blue tassels at the end of Jesus' cloak, and she was healed at the source. He said, daughter, your faith has healed you. So blue was also a color of healing.
00:09:21
Speaker
And where did the healing come from? The son of righteousness, which is Jesus, arises over us with healing in his wings and in his light beams. Malachi 4.2.
00:09:35
Speaker
They were told to bring purple yarn. Purple is a color of royalty and kingship. Jesus was dressed in purple, mockingly, and he was called you know they the king of the Jews.
00:09:48
Speaker
We know him as the king of kings, the lord of lords, the god of gods.
00:09:55
Speaker
They had to bring ran... Sorry, did I skip something there? Yeah, I did, yeah. Scarlet yarn. Well, scarlet red is the colour of blood. Think of the the scarlet cord that hung from the prostitute's Rahab's window. and And everyone who's inside of her house was saved when the walls of Jericho came down.
00:10:15
Speaker
Think that sin has left a crimson stain, a scarlet stain, a red stain. Gunk. Debris. um but the blood of Jesus washes all things white as snow.
00:10:30
Speaker
They were told to bring fine linen. Other translations say white linen. White is the color of holiness and of righteousness.
00:10:45
Speaker
And with the linen cloth, and when Jesus came up out of his grave, the linen cloth was folded neatly. It was a Hebrew tradition that if you had eaten your dinner and you were satisfied, you would fold up your napkin neatly and leave it on your table.
00:11:01
Speaker
You're saying it's finished. I'm all good. Excellent. Well done. My compliments to the chef. Great job. You didn't scrunch up your napkin and just dump it on the plate. You put it there neatly and you said, everything is more than sufficient.
00:11:17
Speaker
So when Jesus left his tomb, His linen cloths were neatly folded where his body had lain. And that was Jesus saying, everything I had to do, I've done.
00:11:29
Speaker
It's A-OK. Mission accomplished.
00:11:35
Speaker
Jesus commanded Moses to tell the people to bring goat hair. Ram skins dyed red. There's a color red again. and another type of durable leather.
00:11:47
Speaker
and with the the skins, you know, we could say that when Adam and Eve sinned, while the Lord sacrificed an animal and draped them in these skins, it's a picture of one thing being sacrificed, an innocent animal, to cover up not-so-innocent, guilty humanity.
00:12:12
Speaker
Acacia wood is a durable wood, And we could say that humanity is durable, but very, very flawed, very, very sinful.
00:12:23
Speaker
But Jesus is even more durable. He lives forever and ever and ever. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is the first and he's the last. He's the beginning and he's the end. He's the Alpha and the Omega.
00:12:36
Speaker
But his holiness is imperishable. His holiness is perfect and amazing.
00:12:43
Speaker
They were told to bring olive oil, Olive oil for the light. Olive oil represents Holy Spirit.
00:12:51
Speaker
um Spices for the anointing oil and the fragrant incense. Anointing oil and fragrant incense. Incense represents the priest class of Israel. and They would have scented incense. In Revelation,
00:13:11
Speaker
We're told by incense in heaven, it's actually the prayers of God's people on the earth.
00:13:18
Speaker
So that represents Jesus as the high priest, Melchizedek of God, which we looked at a few weeks ago in the Abraham lesson. And the anointing oil, m oil is of course Holy Spirit, and the anointing breaks the yoke of evil.
00:13:35
Speaker
The spices for the anointing oil, well spices, you you might think of the Easter story. when the women left home when it was still dark to come and put spices on Jesus' body.
00:13:48
Speaker
Onyx stones, I'm actually wearing two of them tonight. I wear onyx on my rings. Onyx stones represent, again, the high priest of Israel. And Jesus is the high priest of his own father, God.
00:14:01
Speaker
And other gems remounted on the ephod and the breastplate. Here we just have a few short verses. and a really strange instruction. Get this random thing. Get these elements. Get these colours. Get this yarn. Get these materials.
00:14:15
Speaker
But look at how every single one of them points to Jesus. Am I amazing?
00:14:24
Speaker
All right, in Exodus 25, 10 to Moses... jesus then instructs moses on how to build the Ark of God, the Ark of the Covenant.

Ark of the Covenant and Cherubim

00:14:41
Speaker
This was a golden chest and layer, not the entirety, because he is everywhere, but a layer of the Lord's glory, a layer of the Lord's presence would abide within the chest.
00:14:59
Speaker
It had to be overlaid with gold, and And the top of it was called the mercy seat. So basically in the Old Testament, more regularly than you might think, Jesus would leave heaven, sit in the middle on the top, on the mercy seat, like it was a throne, because it was made of gold, it was a throne.
00:15:27
Speaker
And he would talk to his people. they would seek his face and he would be enthroned on the ark of the covenant and give them his instructions give them his commands give them his opinions you might think why is that necessary well the people on earth god's people israelites were supposed to bring heaven culture to the earth. That was our mandate as a nation. That was their job.
00:16:03
Speaker
Today, the body of Christ do it. Back then, it was one nation, Israel. And they really and truly were to bring heaven culture itself to the earth. As it is in heaven, let it be so on the earth. Because in Revelation 11, 19, we're told that heaven has an ark of the covenant.
00:16:22
Speaker
Heaven has its own arc, only its arc is very dramatic thing to be around. In 1119, we actually see a lightning storm happening all around it.
00:16:34
Speaker
So again, Lucifer, which we looked at in our first session, was to be the high priest of Jesus. Jesus is the high priest of Father God. So even Jesus would go up to that Ark of the Covenant in heaven to perform some of his priestly duties. Yes, he is the king of heaven, but he still loves his father absolutely and organizes worship for his own father. And and There are cherubim decorations on the one on the earth.
00:17:10
Speaker
Cherubim are not angels, but they are supernatural beings. They... Jesus doesn't need bodyguards.
00:17:22
Speaker
But if he ever were to have bodyguards, cherubim would be as close as it gets, right? When you see the cherubim, they're around... the throne, or they're around his chariot's throne, like in Ezekiel or Daniel, when he has a throne with wheels, it's chariot, and comes down into the sky, cherubim will surround him.
00:17:47
Speaker
You first see them in Genesis chapter 3, after the man the woman get kicked of the Garden of Eden, a cherubim is sent to guard the path to the Tree of Life with a flaming sword, to make sure that neither Adam and Eve,
00:18:03
Speaker
nor their kids, nor their grandkids, nor their great-grandkids, nor great-great-grandkids, nor any the Nephilim could ever get near the Tree of Life. Eat of it and live forever.
00:18:15
Speaker
I am convinced that that Cherubim had his hands full. We never see his individual adventures. But I'm sure he had to spend a great deal of his time keeping people from getting near the tree of immortality.
00:18:32
Speaker
um with the heavenly one, i'd say those cherubim are not decorations. I'd say they're actually alive, that they're real cherubim. That to me would just make sense. now Moses was told by Jesus to put four rings on the ark.
00:18:54
Speaker
so that poles could be put through them for carrying them. It was the job of the Levites, which were the priest class in Israel, to carry the Ark of the Covenant whenever it needed moving.
00:19:14
Speaker
Now 1 Samuel 6, 7 to 9, Ark actually six seven to nine the ark actually gets kidnapped or stolen by the Philistines, and Israel's arch nemeses at the time, the same group that Goliath came from.
00:19:35
Speaker
And when Goliath side, the Philistines, stole the Ark, they put it on a new cart and they had animals dictate where it was going to go.
00:19:49
Speaker
And you would think, oh my goodness, like these wicked Philistines, they think God Almighty is going to be dictated by livestock. But literally one group later, 2 Samuel, again, chapter 6, 1 to 7, God's people did the very same thing.
00:20:10
Speaker
David wanted to bring the Ark of the Covenant back to the city of Jerusalem. So he told his people Now, in fairness, he didn't know what Moses knew, okay? he He was ignorant. it was It's fine.
00:20:25
Speaker
But he said, okay, put it on a new cart. Let's have worship. Let's have celebrations. Put the oxen in front. Get it back here. Well, one of the oxen stumbled and, you know, hurt his leg, tripped. And a man named Uzzah reached out to stop the ark from falling.
00:20:43
Speaker
But then he died on the spot.
00:20:50
Speaker
A move of God, the spirit of God, was never designed to be moved or hindered or dictated to by humans and definitely not by animals. I mean, what they were doing was the very same thing that the enemies of God had done.
00:21:15
Speaker
Instead, the Ark of the Covenant... was be carried by the worship class, the priestly class, the Levites up on their shoulder, because Jesus is the head of his people.
00:21:28
Speaker
And his head is supposed to be over your head. His ways are not our ways. His understanding's not understanding. His perspective is not our perspective.
00:21:42
Speaker
If you have Jesus on a cart, He is pretty close to your feet. You could step on Jesus if you wanted to. He is supposed to be over the imagination of man.
00:21:56
Speaker
He's supposed to be over the ways of man. He's supposed to be over the understanding of man. Where we rely on his perspective.
00:22:08
Speaker
His foreknowledge. What he is predestined.
00:22:14
Speaker
He's the head, we are just the body.
00:22:22
Speaker
So that's why when it was created, four rings were created that the poles would go through so the Levites could carry it.
00:22:32
Speaker
I'll just share a little bit more on the cherubim.
00:22:38
Speaker
Cherubim, again, Jesus does not need bodyguards, but they're the closest thing to bodyguards that he has. They're always seen surrounding the throne when they are seen, and apart from that one instance in Genesis chapter 3.
00:22:52
Speaker
Sometimes they have one head. Sometimes they have four faces. Sometimes they travel alone. Sometimes they travel in groups of four or more, I'm sure.
00:23:06
Speaker
am Sometimes, you know, they we see them with little human hands. Some of them look like people. Some of them look like animals. um In every way, they're going to represent Christ regardless. Some look like oxen, and Jesus is, you know, there the ox who was killed for us, the livestock killed for us.
00:23:29
Speaker
Some look like eagles. And Jesus is one, know, who can see over all, the one who soars on high, the king of the birds, the king of the winged creatures.
00:23:42
Speaker
Some look like man, and he became man, the God-man. Some um look like lions, he is the Lion of Judah. Sometimes we're told that their wings are covered in eyeballs, so God can see what's happening around the earth, wherever they go.
00:24:00
Speaker
And sometimes we're told that they travel with an Ofan, which is a ring, an interlocking ring, a ring in a ring. um And there's also a spirit in the ring and the ring is also covered in eyeballs. Even their transport is alive. Everything in heaven is alive. Even the transport.
00:24:19
Speaker
ah You might have like a Star Wars spaceship in heaven. Even that will be alive and it'll be talking to you. and Not with like an automated robot voice. Everything in heaven has the spirit of life in it.
00:24:31
Speaker
The one thing we do know from scripture is every cherub has wings. Some have two, some have four, some have six. Some might have more.
00:24:42
Speaker
That's the only common denominator between the cherub meant in the Bible. They all have wings. Other than that, they can look as vastly different as they need to.
00:24:55
Speaker
At the end of the day, it all shows the creativity of God.
00:25:02
Speaker
Alright.

Priestly Garments and Jesus' Role

00:25:04
Speaker
If you enter the tabernacle, you'll also see the table. Exodus 25, 23 to 30.
00:25:17
Speaker
Make a table of acacia wood, two cubits long, a cubit wide, and a cubit and a half high. Overlay it with pure gold and make a gold moulding around it.
00:25:32
Speaker
Also make around it a rim of handbreadth wide and put a gold moulding on the rim. Make four gold rings for the table and fasten them to the four corners where the four legs are.
00:25:45
Speaker
The rings are to be close to the rim to hold the poles used in carrying the table. Make the poles of acacia wood, overlay them with gold and carry the table with them.
00:25:58
Speaker
And make its plates and dishes of pure gold.
00:26:04
Speaker
as well as its pitchers and bowls for the pouring out of offerings.
00:26:13
Speaker
Put the bread of the presence on this table to be before me at all times. So here they had this beautiful decorative ornamental table and on it was showbread, the bread of the presence.
00:26:30
Speaker
This for us is a picture of communion. The same way that we get to have communion, and what do we do when we have communion? Well, we focus on the sacrifice of Jesus, how he gave his life for us, how he sacrificed himself on that cross so that we could live.
00:26:57
Speaker
We think about what was won at the cross. um
00:27:05
Speaker
victory over death, victory over destruction, and that he is always with us and his resurrection power is in us to bring a dead spirit to life, to bring healing to a wounded, fractured,
00:27:29
Speaker
scattered soul, a traumatized, agonized soul, how ultimately our body on the day of the rapture will be resurrected in the same way his was.
00:27:46
Speaker
He will take us, even if we're dust by then, he'll snatch us up. He will make us an imperishable body with no silver teeth.
00:28:00
Speaker
No bad ache. No cracked ribs. No thumb in the wrong place. No yellow toenails. You're not going need glasses, your eyes will be 100%.
00:28:12
Speaker
No grey hair. No wellness. You'll make your body at 100%. And you will live in the world of heaven in a 100% perfect body.
00:28:27
Speaker
These are the things that when we have communion, we can think about. what he's done, what he's doing, and what he has yet to do on our behalf. Not because we deserve it, but just because he wants to.
00:28:45
Speaker
Because he is that good of a God.
00:28:56
Speaker
right. Exodus 25, 31 to
00:29:03
Speaker
31 says to make a lampstand of pure gold and hammer it out, base and shaft. Its flower-like cups, buds and blossoms shall be of one piece of it.
00:29:16
Speaker
Six branches are to extend from the sides the lampstand, three on one side and three on the other. Three cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms are to be on one branch, three in next branch,
00:29:31
Speaker
and the same for all six branches, extending from lampstand. And on the lampstand there are to be four cups, shaped like almond flowers, with buds and blossoms.
00:29:43
Speaker
One bud shall be under the first pair branches, extending from lampstand. A second bud under second pair, and a third bud under the third pair, six branches in all.
00:29:55
Speaker
The buds and branches shall all be of one piece, with lampstand. hammered out of pure gold. Then make it seven lamps and set them up so that they light the space in front of it.
00:30:12
Speaker
Its wick trimmers and trays are to be of pure gold. A talent of pure gold is to be used the lampstand and all these accessories. See that you make them according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.
00:30:31
Speaker
You've probably never heard the word buds and almonds used as many times in such quick succession as that. Personally, I think the Lord Jesus has the Garden of Eden on his mind.
00:30:46
Speaker
I think that's why he has this floral garden theme going on. And that would make perfect sense. Because the Garden of Eden was when all humanity, all two of them,
00:31:00
Speaker
For a very short time, probably about 40 days in total, were 100% with him. Then they went rogue.
00:31:12
Speaker
He made them in his image and they decided to return the favor, which helped absolutely nobody. um And they character assassinated him. They said, oh, he's wicked. He's trying to spoil all of He's a baddie. He's a meanie. Yadda, yadda, yadda. And they rebelled against him.
00:31:32
Speaker
The nation of Israel was God's attempt to have a people on the earth who would know him, who would love him, who would serve him, and their mandate was to spread heaven culture around the earth.
00:31:44
Speaker
To ultimately re-find Eden. To bring as many people back into right relationship with God as possible. Did that happen? Not all that well, I'll be honest with you.
00:31:57
Speaker
they had about 2,000 years to get it right. Ha ha ha And i think it's very interesting that there are seven, do you say, candles, basically, to the menorah here.
00:32:13
Speaker
When I read this, I think of how there are seven manifestations of Holy Spirit in front of the throne of God and Jesus in heaven. Isaiah 11, too, tells us who they are.
00:32:31
Speaker
The spirit of the Lord, the spirit of wisdom, the spirit of understanding, the spirit of counsel, the spirit of might, the spirit of knowledge, and the spirit of the reverential awe of God.
00:32:54
Speaker
You might think, how is it possible that Holy Spirit has seven persons? Well, actually, God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit can all multiply themselves as many times as they have to.
00:33:04
Speaker
And you know what? They do. None of you have 1% of Holy Spirit and Jesus living inside of you. You have 100% layer of Jesus, a 100% layer of Holy Spirit, as do I.
00:33:20
Speaker
But there is also a 100% layer Jesus sitting on his throne in heaven. If someone is in heaven right now in their garden and they want a quiet moment with Jesus, he will multiply himself and a 100% layer of Jesus will go and commune with them.
00:33:37
Speaker
If there's someone in his bedroom right now in his hands and knees crying his heart out, he's a pornography addict and he feels like its just a pure and utter scumbag. He's thinking of ending it all because he just had this unclean feeling and he's like, Jesus, if you're there, help me show yourself. And suddenly he feels a hand on his shoulder and deep, deep love that just melts him into the ground.
00:34:03
Speaker
That's Jesus multiplying himself again. 100%. want 100% later be there.
00:34:10
Speaker
to be there um Holy Spirit, the same. He's in me, he's in all of you, he's in Christians all around the earth. Same with Father God.
00:34:21
Speaker
He doesn't just sit in a throne all day listening to the worshippers. If someone is in, don't know, Christmas town in heaven and wants to build a snowman with Father God, I'm sure he will multiply himself and make himself available.
00:34:36
Speaker
If someone's looking at the trees in heaven, like, are in the field clapping their hands and they're like, wouldn't it be great if God was here? I'm sure he will multiply himself and facilitate that wish and request.
00:34:51
Speaker
God, the Father, God, the Son, and God, Holy Spirit can and do multiply themselves as many times as they have to, to meet the needs of their people and ultimately to serve their own good, perfect, and pleasing will.
00:35:25
Speaker
I think another significance of the menorah is that Jesus is the light of the world. He is the light that is within all men, all people who believe in him, obviously.
00:35:39
Speaker
Light also represents knowledge, wisdom, understanding. Think of the expression, I had a light bulb moment. The light went on.
00:35:49
Speaker
We have a good idea, Holy Spirit inspired idea.
00:35:57
Speaker
Okay, the next chapter. In Exodus 26, verses 1 to 32, Jesus instructed Moses to get all kinds of materials together, different colors, as a covering for the tabernacle, and to make a curtain or a veil that would separate the holy place from where these beautiful furnishings were, from the most holy place, the Holy of Holies, which is where the Ark of the Covenant was. The Ark of the Covenant would be put aside, separated from all the others.
00:36:46
Speaker
This curtain, or this veil, I've discussed the colours already earlier on. The pattern on it would show cherubim. Again, whenever you see Jesus flying around the sky and Daniel and Ezekiel and and and Isaiah, well, think Isaiah, they were seraphim, but seraphim cherubim. They just look like snakes, which is fine.
00:37:10
Speaker
um The cherubim are always before him. So with this structure, he's in a layer of his presence is in the chest, is in the box.
00:37:26
Speaker
If he wants to, he can physically sit on top of it like a throne. And here you have a picture of cherubim on the curtain, on the veil.
00:37:37
Speaker
And again, it's a picture of heaven. How before his throne, you have the cherubim. You've got living creatures.
00:37:47
Speaker
This structure was a picture of heaven culture. This structure was a picture of the layout of probably the most written about throne room in heaven.
00:38:04
Speaker
I'm not saying heaven only has one throne room, but the one it talks about most regularly, most often, most frequently. This is a picture of that place.
00:38:21
Speaker
All right, then Exodus 26, 33 37 says,
00:38:24
Speaker
thirty three to thirty seven says Hang the curtain from the clasps and place the Ark of the Covenant, the Ark of the Testimony, behind the curtain. The curtain will separate the holy place from the most holy place.
00:38:40
Speaker
Put the atonement cover on the Ark of the Testimony in the most holy place. Place the table outside the curtain on the north side of the tabernacle and put the lampstand opposite on the south side.
00:38:55
Speaker
For the entrance to the tent, make a curtain of blue, purple and scarlet yarn. So now we know why he told them to get all the yarn. And finely twisted linen. You're seeing how it all circles back.
00:39:08
Speaker
And work of an embroiderer. Make gold hooks for this curtain and five posts of acacia wood overlaid of gold and cast five bronze bases for them.
00:39:21
Speaker
So the elements, the yarn, the colours, materials that we started off with, you now see that all of them are very strategically being collected for the tabernacle as an architectural structure and for its inner furnishings.
00:39:42
Speaker
The most famous instance I would wager regarding the curtain or the veil actually doesn't even happen in the Old Testament.
00:39:54
Speaker
It happens in the New Testament. When Jesus won the cross, and next thing Luke 23, 45 says, there was a massive earthquake and the veil was torn. The curtain was torn.
00:40:14
Speaker
Because the holy place had these beautiful furnishings. The most holy place was where the presence of the Lord would be. inside the Ark of the Covenant.
00:40:27
Speaker
When Jesus died on the cross, that separation, that division between us and him was totally torn. That separation between us and Father God.
00:40:41
Speaker
So now we can come boldly before the throne of grace. In the past, only one person could get to the Ark of the Covenant, and now with the high priest.
00:40:53
Speaker
And it was not easy. He had a lot of religious observance to do before he got there. And he had to make sure he was in right standing with God in a lot of ways. For us, no hoops to jump through.
00:41:07
Speaker
No barriers. We have direct access to the throne room, to the presence of Almighty God at all times. The relationship that we have with the Lord far exceeds that of anyone else in all of history. The ease with which to be saved.
00:41:29
Speaker
with which to be an intimate relationship the Lord is phenomenal. So friends, use it. Don't take it for granted.
00:41:45
Speaker
Okay, the next structure I mentioned was the altar of burnt offering. This is in Exodus 27, verses 1 to It says this, says this
00:41:58
Speaker
Build an altar of acacia wood, three cubits high. It is to be square, five cubits long and five cubits wide. Make a horn at each of the four corners so that the horns and the altar are of one piece and overlay the altar at bronze. Why does have four corners? They represent the four corners of the world, north, south, east and west.
00:42:24
Speaker
Jesus is the offering for everybody all around the world. He is no respecter persons. He wants everyone.
00:42:45
Speaker
little bit later sir in Exodus 27, verses 9 to 15. verse nine to fifteen It talks about the four sides of the tabernacle.
00:43:01
Speaker
From the entrance, um so the east, the west, the north, the south. I'll say a little bit more about that later on. Basically, it was very intentionally structured to look like a cross.
00:43:19
Speaker
It was very intentionally structured with pointing in four different directions as God's way of saying his mission was to save every everyone.
00:43:29
Speaker
The mandate on the nation of Israel was to get it right to be a holy nation so that all the nations on earth would be inspired to get in on the action.
00:43:48
Speaker
right, Exodus 27.
00:43:51
Speaker
Verses 20 to 21. Command the Israelites to bring you clear oil of pressed olives for the light so that the lamps may be kept burning.
00:44:03
Speaker
In the tent of meeting, outside the curtain that's in front of the testimony, Aaron and his sons are to keep the lamps burning before the Lord from evening till morning.
00:44:14
Speaker
This is to be a lasting ordinance among the Israelites for the generations to come.
00:44:23
Speaker
When of the olive oil, you might instinctively think of the Garden of Olives or the Garden of Gethsemane, which is where Jesus was arrested by the Romans, where he was betrayed for 30 pieces of silver by his friend or friend, Judas Iscariot.

Divine Guidance and Jesus' Sacrifice

00:44:46
Speaker
Oil also represents Holy Spirit. And we're told, you know, that um there's oil all around the world, you know, in every sea, and every ocean.
00:45:00
Speaker
And when you read Genesis chapter one, verse two, where all the Holy Spirit hovered over the waters. So in the same way, m oil is a picture for him. And wherever he flew, funny enough, there is oil there for human beings to use to our advantage um so we can live our best, warmest, most productive lives.
00:45:28
Speaker
But the oil is given through the crushing. And in the same way Jesus had to be crushed on the cross in order for us to reap the benefit, he was crushed to put us back together again.
00:45:43
Speaker
the chastisement, the punishment that brought us peace was on him.
00:45:54
Speaker
But that oil for us is anointing oil. And the anointing of Jesus reveals all things, reveals all secrets, all mysteries, from the past, the present, the future, things that are, things that can be, things that should be, things God does not want to be.
00:46:12
Speaker
And the anointing also breaks the yoke of evil. Amen.
00:46:21
Speaker
All right, Exodus 28, verse 4.
00:46:28
Speaker
Here the Lord starts to give instructions regarding clothes or vestments for the priests to wear. These are the garments they are to make. A breastpiece, an ephod, an A robe, a woven tunic, a turban and a sash.
00:46:49
Speaker
They are to make these garments for your brother Aaron and his sons, so they may serve me as priests. Have them use gold and blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and fine linen.
00:47:03
Speaker
Now in the Bible study that's available for 10 euros, I go into how Adam and Eve were actually the original kings and priests of the earth. But for the purpose of this live stream, let's just have a look at Aaron and his family.
00:47:22
Speaker
um So these garments are all very, very significant in relation to the person of Jesus.
00:47:34
Speaker
Okay. The breast piece or the breast plate. We're told in Ephesians 6.14.
00:47:43
Speaker
that we are to put on the breastplate of righteousness. and Firstly, we put on Jesus' righteousness because ah human's righteousness in of ourselves is the equivalent of filthy rags in Jeremiah.
00:48:01
Speaker
What is a filthy rag? It was literally a rag that someone one used to mop up period blood. That is what a filthy rag is in the Old Testament. That is how God actually looks at a human being's good works outside of a relationship with Jesus. Outside of the unction of Holy Spirit leading them to that decision.
00:48:23
Speaker
It means nothing. It is crap. It is filth. It is scum. It's an embarrassment. We're to put on his righteousness, his holiness, and wear it as a breastplate.
00:48:37
Speaker
Doing good works protects your heart from the enemy. It is harder for the enemy to get one up on you when you are living righteously.
00:48:48
Speaker
Living righteously, living in step with the Lord in alignment with him, is in and of itself protection.
00:48:59
Speaker
The ephod. and And also, there's another one. Yep, so the ephod. If you look at Hebrews 7, 25, we're were told, therefore, Jesus is able to save completely those who come to God through him because he always lives to intercede for them. The ephod was worn by the priest when he would go in, you know, to make intercession for the people, to war on the people's behalf. prayerfully and spiritually, and the same way Jesus is praying for his people on the earth today.
00:49:37
Speaker
You might ask yourself, how does he pray for us and still run all reality? Firstly, he's Jesus. He has the voice of many waters. But secondly, he can multiply himself as many times as he has to.
00:49:52
Speaker
The high priest would also wear a robe. And we, as God's children, are told to wear the robe of righteousness. Not righteousness that is ours, but his righteousness, the righteousness of Jesus.
00:50:10
Speaker
He also had to wear a woven tunic, and it had to be made out of just one piece of material. It couldn't be made from two or three stitched together. It just had to be one.
00:50:24
Speaker
That's significant because it also points to Jesus. Now, I understand why when people read this part of Exodus and it continues into Leviticus, they just think, oh my goodness, this is so boring. Why, God, why?
00:50:39
Speaker
It's possible Moses felt the same. It's possible that when Moses was explaining this to Aaron, Aaron was like, Moses, white white well why why is this necessary? ah And I'm not convinced Moses had an answer for him.
00:50:53
Speaker
But thankfully, we have the whole 66 books of the Bible. We've got the finished product. So for us, we can look back retroactively and see the connections, see how Jesus fulfills all these things.
00:51:06
Speaker
But if you were the high priest, you had to wear your tunic out one piece of fabric, untorn, unbroken, just one. And in John 19, 23 24, it says this,
00:51:19
Speaker
twenty three to twenty four it says this When the soldiers crucified Jesus, they took his clothes, dividing them into four shares, one for each of them, with the undergarment remaining.
00:51:36
Speaker
This garment was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom. Let's not tear it, they said to one another. Let's decide by lot who will get it.
00:51:47
Speaker
This happened that the scripture might be fulfilled, which said, And then they quote Psalm 22, 18. They divided my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing.
00:52:00
Speaker
So this is what the soldiers did.
00:52:05
Speaker
In not tearing his clothes, they accidentally or inadvertently recognized or verified that he was the one prophesied about by David in Psalm 22, 18. that he is the high priest of the world of heaven.
00:52:25
Speaker
um The actual high priest of Jesus' day, the one who, you know, Caiaphas, he actually tore his robe in like a dramatic display of, oh my goodness, how could anyone say this in my presence? So he actually cancelled himself out by just being a drama queen. For Jesus, his tunic remains in one piece as a picture that he was the high priest of heaven.
00:52:51
Speaker
Then we'll turn to Hebrews 4.15 for aim for a little nod to the significance of the turban.
00:53:06
Speaker
4.15 says, For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses. We have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are, yet was without sin. Again, the turban was a picture of his station, of his importance, as he would cry out on behalf of the people and pray for their um forgiveness, that they would step into their manifest destiny of the Lord. And that is what Jesus does with us. He does not write you off because you've had a bad day.
00:53:43
Speaker
He gets it. But he grew up in the grace of God and did not sin once. His grace in you empowers you not to be a slave to sin.
00:53:56
Speaker
And he trusts you to defeat it.
00:54:02
Speaker
And then the high priest of Israel would wear sash. And Jesus is seen wearing a sash in the first chapter of verse 13.
00:54:15
Speaker
And it says, And among the lampstands, there are lampstands again, was someone like a son of man, aka the son of man, the son of God, Jesus, dressed in a robe, reaching down to his feet, and with a golden sash around his chest.
00:54:37
Speaker
All these things the high priest wears are pictures of Jesus. And again, a lot of Christians get really, really annoyed when they're reading this part of Exodus. With the tabernacle and the furnishings, they say, this is so boring, I don't care, why am I supposed to know this? Because it all points to Christ.
00:54:57
Speaker
And remember, this is not Moses speaking to Father the God on the mountain. This is Moses speaking to Jesus on that mountain. So you can regard all this like it's written and rain in red ink.
00:55:10
Speaker
Personally, I don't like that some Bibles have things in black and red. because they never actually put everything Jesus said in red. If you read the Old Testament, there should be a lot of red ink there too.
00:55:23
Speaker
And this is Jesus giving you clues as to who he is, giving you prophetic pictures as to who he is.
00:55:37
Speaker
All right. In Exodus 28, verse 29. verse twenty nine
00:55:48
Speaker
It says, whenever Aaron enters the holy place, he will bear the names of the sons of Israel over his heart on the breastpiece of decision as a continuing memorial before the Lord.
00:56:04
Speaker
He had 12 precious stones on his breastpiece, on his breastpiece, and they represented the 12 tribes of Israel and they were over his heart.
00:56:16
Speaker
And the same way Jesus said, came to seek and save the lost, especially in those three and a half years, the lost sheep of Israel. The same way that you could just imagine Jesus having these 12 stones over his chest, over his heart in the supernatural realm. He was motivated by the love for his people.
00:56:39
Speaker
For us, we're told to have the word of God written on our heart, having the covenant of God written on our heart. the love God written on our hearts, the new covenant, the that of grace, the dispensation of grace written in our hearts and having the words in our hearts that you know, did you know, that you know who God is and how he sees you and what Jesus did on the cross for you.
00:57:04
Speaker
Because we're told to guard our hearts above all else because the issues of life flow from it. So the high priest had a physical picture of the nation that he loved and was to serve over his heart.
00:57:16
Speaker
What's over your heart today? You might say, well, one stone is for your natural family. One is for nation. One is for your neighbors.
00:57:27
Speaker
One is for your colleagues. Whatever it is. Who are the stones on your heart? Who do they represent? Who are you standing in the gap for? Because Jesus did it for Israel for three and half years. He's doing it for whole world today. especially his kids. He has a very special relationship with his kids.
00:57:47
Speaker
But who's on your heart? And what are you doing about it? Are you interceding for them? in the same way the high priest Aaron would intercede for his people.
00:58:00
Speaker
Here's a funny little thing that some of you have probably never considered before. In Exodus 28-30, they were also told to have urim and thummim in the breastpiece.
00:58:11
Speaker
Some of you might think, I've never read that before. Some of you might think, I've read it and I don't have a bold notion what it is. It was way that God would speak to the high priest in the Old Testament. um Think of a thing of it almost like you know rolling dice. That's me.
00:58:37
Speaker
and If I get an odd number, it's a no. if I an even number, it's a yes. This kind of thing. um After the ascension of Jesus, after he supermaned his way into heaven, you never see these being used again.
00:58:55
Speaker
Sometimes in the early Old Testament, they would cast lots. i And it almost sounds like gambling or tempting fate. God didn't speak to them.
00:59:07
Speaker
It's how Matthias was chosen to replace Judas Iscariot. But once Holy Spirit came down in power on the day of Pentecost, you never see casting lots again. You never see Urim and Tumim again. it was just a way that God spoke to people before Holy Spirit came and dwelled and within them.
00:59:31
Speaker
All right, in Exodus chapter 30, verses 1 to 10,
00:59:37
Speaker
It describes the altar of incense. It says, make an altertar of a cassia wood for burning incense it's to be square a cube it long and keep it wide and two cubis high its horns on one piece with it overlaid the top and all the sides and the horns of pure golds and make a gold moldding around it make two gold rings for old or blow the molding two on upper presides
01:00:07
Speaker
to hold the poles used to carry it. Make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. Put the altar in front of the curtain that is before the Ark of the Testimony, before the atonement cover that is over the testimony, where will meet with you.
01:00:26
Speaker
While he would come down in the flesh, sit there and have a conversation with Moses and or the high priest, sometimes even the elders. Aaron must burn fragrant incense on the altar every morning when he tends the lamps.
01:00:43
Speaker
He must burn incense again when he lights the lamps at twilight. So incense will burn regularly before the Lord for the generations to come. Do not offer on this altar any other incense or any burnt offering or grain offering.
01:00:59
Speaker
And do not pour a drink offering on it. Once a year, Aaron shall make atonement on his horns. This annual atonement must be made with the blood of the atoning sin offering for the generations to come.
01:01:12
Speaker
it is most holy to the Lord. So they would keep all the lights burning on the menorah as a way of showing the constant presence of God, that he would never leave them nor forsake them. So long as they were living in righteousness, he was their God. He was their father, the one who would save them from Egypt, who would bring them to the promised land and sustain them there.
01:01:35
Speaker
And the incense, it's a picture of the prayers of the people being raised up to heaven. They were physical pictures. It all sounds very religious. It all sounds very busy. It all sounds very inconvenient.
01:01:51
Speaker
But it was a physical picture of a spiritual reality. Or at least what their spiritual reality was supposed to be.
01:02:07
Speaker
Exodus 30, 17 to 21, describes the bronze, some translations say brazen, it is bronze, the same thing, washing basin, which was where they would get washed, the priests, while they're on their way to do their priestly duties.
01:02:31
Speaker
And in Exodus 30, 22 to
01:02:35
Speaker
They're given instructions on how to make anointing oil. And one of the ingredients mentioned is myrrh. Myrrh is probably not to worry you hear well, at any time of the year, apart from Christmas.
01:02:50
Speaker
It was one of the gifts that the wise men brought to the baby Jesus. They brought a gift of gold, and they're called wise men for a reason.
01:03:01
Speaker
They actually gave prophetic gifts. even though they weren't even Israeli. They brought gold because Jesus was to be the king of Israel.
01:03:15
Speaker
Myrrh is a gift um that prophesied the death of Jesus. Myrrh is something that you put on a corpse to anoint it for burial.
01:03:28
Speaker
So in giving a gift of myrrh, they were prophetically saying, This baby is going to die and his death will be very, very important.
01:03:43
Speaker
And frankincense has not been forgotten. In Exodus 30, 34 to 37, specific instructions were given for the making of incense.
01:03:54
Speaker
And frankincense was a necessary ingredient. Again, we see frankincense in the Christmas story. The wise men brought it. Frankincense, which is obviously related to the word incense, like I've told you already, it was affiliated with the priest class, with prayer.
01:04:15
Speaker
They recognized that this baby was the high priest of the world of heaven, was the high priest of Father God.
01:04:31
Speaker
After Jesus had said everything that he needed to say,
01:04:38
Speaker
Exodus 31, 18 ends with Jesus getting two tablets of stone and writing the Ten Commandments on them supernaturally with his own finger and giving them to Moses.
01:04:56
Speaker
and I've had this Bible since the 16th of March 2002, my whole life long, almost. And I used to do postal Bible studies and actually have sticker of the Ten Commandments just inside the cover.
01:05:10
Speaker
um You shall have no other gods before me. God has to be number one. No idols. You shall not make unto yourself any graven image.
01:05:25
Speaker
That's very important to because in the book of Revelation, the Antichrist makes a graven image, the Isle of Desolation, and the whole nation bow down and worship it. The devil enters that statue and it talks and it moves.
01:05:38
Speaker
It becomes an animate, almost living being. so God is like a big no-no.
01:05:45
Speaker
You shall not take the name of the Lord or God in vain, or the translations do not miscarry the name of God. you're going use his name, make sure people are going to glorify it afterwards.
01:06:02
Speaker
Remember the Sabbath day to keep us holy. and Thankfully, we're living in an everlasting Sabbath with our relationship with Lord. But yes, the Hebrews were not allowed to work on the and final day of the week. They're a Saturday. day Honor your father and your mother. There's a blessing attached to this of long life.
01:06:23
Speaker
You shall not murder. her You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not tell lies about your neighbour in a court of or in a legal proceeding.
01:06:37
Speaker
And you shall not covet your neighbour's goods. Don't be envious. Don't be jealous. Don't be looking at what people have and desiring it for yourself.
01:06:49
Speaker
Because the lust of the eyes well, allows people in all kinds of mischief.
01:06:59
Speaker
All right. So the layout of the temple was very, very specific, okay? This is a physical layout, bird's eye view. You have the Holy of Holies.
01:07:12
Speaker
The Ark of the Covenant is there.
01:07:15
Speaker
Then you have the holy place, where you've number of things laid out beside each other. The incense, the lampstand, the table with the showbreads.
01:07:28
Speaker
You have the bronze altar there too.
01:07:32
Speaker
And before you even enter, you have the outer court, which is where the people were and where they'd commit their animal sacrifices. And you see that there's actually a shape of a cross in the layout of the tabernacle.
01:07:49
Speaker
Everything in the Old Testament somehow points to the cross. People find it really, really boring. When the Lord's like, make this of gold. I want this yarn. want this yarn. Make that a yarn. Make a cherubim out of gold for the box. Make a cherubim out of yarn. And people are, oh, for goodness sakes. And they just skip all this.
01:08:10
Speaker
They think it's tremendously boring. But all of it points to Christ.
01:08:18
Speaker
We've been told, if you know if you rotate the perspective and overlay movement, people entered from the east. The Holy of Holies then was in the west.
01:08:33
Speaker
And then if you follow the holy place um furnishings, they take you from north to south. And you might remember that the Garden of Eden um was in the east and they were evicted and banished to eastward. And then the other gods goes west. So you have this attempt to re-find Eden, almost, and that Edenic lifestyle that people are always meant to have in the physical layout of this space.
01:09:11
Speaker
Now, I know there's an awful lot in that, guys. i know this is quite a heavy teaching. and It's sometimes easier when you're following a narrative of he said, she said, he killed this person, he she did that.
01:09:22
Speaker
But this is just a summary of everything we've looked at today, where the tabernacle was laid out in a way that mirrored the theology of the cross. The gate, there's only one entrance.
01:09:36
Speaker
And as we see here, the entrance is in east.
01:09:43
Speaker
And Jesus in John 10, 9 says, I am the door. the gate. I am the gate. I am the way, the truth, and the life. no one gets the Father except through only one way, and that is moi.
01:09:56
Speaker
That's Jesus, not me. Then you have the bronze altar, where sacrifice was made. There is no worship without sacrifice.
01:10:07
Speaker
Through a New Testament lens, that represents the cross itself. The old rugged cross of Calvary.
01:10:16
Speaker
Then you have the bronze laver, You could say that represents washing, represents baptism, the cleansing through Christ's blood.
01:10:28
Speaker
And yes, we get washed away. All of our sins get washed away the second we first believe right out of our spirit man. We become fully alive there. um as far as the East is in the West, so far our sins removed from us. You can chase after it. I don't encourage you to. you can chase after it. It is always before you. It is gone.
01:10:49
Speaker
But the soul still has issues. The soul still has problems. The soul still has nasties hidden in it. Your heart might still be broken.
01:11:01
Speaker
You might still have mental health issues. You might still suffer from stress, from deep emotional agony over a loss or a trauma. And then there's a continued washing in the word that takes place.
01:11:17
Speaker
Husbands are told to wash their wives in the word, for instance.
01:11:22
Speaker
Then there's the showbread on the golden table. That is a picture of the believer's communion.
01:11:31
Speaker
The menorah, the lampstand of the seven candles, with the seven flames. Jesus is the light of the world and he wants us to want him.
01:11:42
Speaker
He wants us to come to him with our questions, with our queries, with our concerns. He doesn't want his children to be ignorant or afraid or stupid. He wants us to ask to get answers.
01:11:55
Speaker
so he gives us more illumination, more knowledge, more insight, understanding, revelation. All you have to do is ask.
01:12:06
Speaker
Then you get the altar of incense. which are the prayers that we pray in the Spirit. And I am not talking about praying in tongues. Praying in tongues is a gift that some people have, not everyone, some.
01:12:22
Speaker
Praying in the Spirit means Holy Spirit gives you the unction and you go there. You're going about your day and someone pops into your head. So you pray for them.
01:12:33
Speaker
You find out three weeks later, they were about to jump off a bridge and for some reason they chose not to. You're praying for someone and Holy Spirit says something really, really awkward and embarrassing.
01:12:45
Speaker
And you say, sorry, friend, I'm going come out with something. If it offends you, i apologize, but I think this is God. Did you, when you're 11 years old, blah, blah, blah, blah.
01:12:56
Speaker
And they say, yes, I did. And you're praying to it. Praying of the Spirit. God can speak to in an unction, in an impression, a feeling which has no words, a tongue, a dream, and newspaper headline, anything.
01:13:13
Speaker
The veil, the curtain, that represented the separation between us and God. When it got torn upon the death of Jesus, that represents the access we have to the word of God. to the And talking the capital W word of God, you know, Jesus himself, to Holy his Spirit, to the Father. The Ark of the Covenant, the presence of God, overshadowed by mercy and by blood, the righteous judgment satisfied, access to God restored, reconciled to him through the God-man, Jesus Christ, where we are now the righteousness of God in Christ himself.
01:14:02
Speaker
Citizens of heaven, princes and princesses of heaven, our citizenship there, our names written in the Lamb's Book of Life,
01:14:16
Speaker
Chosen, predestined for such time as this, to know him. Called to be his ambassadors on the earth, reconciling sinful man to himself.
01:14:29
Speaker
More than conquerors. Not fighting for a victory, fighting from victory. Free and free indeed.
01:14:41
Speaker
Yes, it might look like we're... pressed on every side and things want to crush us and destroy us. But we'll never be forsaken or abandoned by him because we're his children.
01:14:56
Speaker
That is what happens when you come to know him. That is how he sees you. That is how his spirit enters into you and remakes you, says that you are his temple.
01:15:08
Speaker
And Jesus tabernacles with you on the inside, dwells with you on the inside forever and ever, as long as you go and believe in in the finished work of the cross and the empty grave.
01:15:19
Speaker
His resurrection power dwells within you, makes you new,
01:15:27
Speaker
sets you up to win.
01:15:31
Speaker
And he only has good, perfect, pleasing plans for you, more numerous, than the sand on the seashore or the stars in the sky are the thoughts he has for you.
01:15:45
Speaker
And all them are good, perfect, pleasing, praiseworthy, noble, kind, and true.
01:15:55
Speaker
That is what it means for us to be God's children, to pass through that torn veil, that torn curtain, into the Holy of Holies. You become the Holy of Holies.
01:16:10
Speaker
The Holy of Holies was a space where the presence of God would abide.
01:16:21
Speaker
Well, now he abides in you by his son, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. You are effectively the Ark of the Covenant with skin on the house of God, a house made of a human heart.
01:16:42
Speaker
Amen.
01:16:45
Speaker
Amen. Amen. All right, guys, I know that there is a lot in that. I know these are chapters Christians typically do not like and are very happy to avoid.
01:16:56
Speaker
but I do hope that you see that they actually more accessible. And perhaps you had originally thought, when we look at it through the lens of Jesus himself, that this is Jesus talking to Moses about physical pictures of Jesus. He's telling Moses to create pictures of himself, basically, out of gold, silver, bronze, and yarn.
01:17:19
Speaker
i don't know his obsession with yarn, but I didn't write the Bible. So that's his own prerogative. Over the last three weeks, we have looked at...
01:17:31
Speaker
Very much detail at Moses Life. um The teachings that i sell for a tenner, all the ones from Moses are part of one teaching, okay?
01:17:45
Speaker
To get the Moses teaching is not going to cost you 30, okay? Episodes 7, 8, and 9 is one bundle, just with those 10 euros. All the teachings Moses are together. And they're in chronological order as well, which helps make it that bit easier, more accessible.
01:18:01
Speaker
I go into some details there, some stories there that I haven't covered in the last three weeks. Some that I just alluded to, i've go into in more detail. um and There's a bit more in it with regards to how the story of Moses actually gives you a picture of the end times, the book of Revelation, which you might find pretty cool.
01:18:24
Speaker
um We look today at the little bit the priest class, Aaron and his sons. I go into more detail in how Adam and Eve were actually the first priests and kings of the earth. That was their job.
01:18:36
Speaker
Not one that they did particularly well for particularly long. Although they went, you know, month and a half or so without sinning. i can't say I've ever done that. So credit where credit's due.
01:18:48
Speaker
um Jesus would also give Moses instructions regarding five different offerings. Some of them mandatory, some of them optional. And I go into those offerings as well. Guilt offerings, sin offerings, Thanksgiving offerings, peace offerings.
01:19:04
Speaker
How they're similar, how they're different, and how all of them also point to the cross. They were not just burning grain and killing animals for the crack. ah There was a method to the madness that all pointed the person of Christ.
01:19:20
Speaker
um As always, before we finish up for today, i do want to create a space where if any of you have any comments, queries, questions or concerns on that teaching, and you now have the chance to share them. And thank you, Sophie, beautiful message in the chat box.
01:19:50
Speaker
Oh, Brandon, you said and that Jesus is the high priest of Evan? Yep. But he's also our high priest, isn't he?
01:20:02
Speaker
Yes. So let's say if you look at the story of Lucifer in Ezekiel 28, Lucifer, who who we now call the devil, he was the most beautiful cherub of them all.
01:20:18
Speaker
And he was actually coated in the stones that the high priest Aaron was would put on that breastplate, that breastpiece. So, Lucifer's design, the precious stones he was coated in show that he was a priest, basically, in heaven.
01:20:40
Speaker
And we know that Jesus is and the sun, is the morning star, and Lucifer the sun of the morning. so He was the light bearer, shining Jesus' light. So basically he was the high priest of Jesus.
01:20:57
Speaker
Jesus is Melchizedek, which we looked at in the Abraham lesson. Melchizedek means king of righteousness. He's also the king of Salem, the king of Jerusalem, the king of shalom peace.
01:21:13
Speaker
So Melchizedek is Jesus. But Melchizedek is also called, you know, the head of the order of Melchizedek the priesthood of God. So he was serving God. And we have no reason to believe he stopped. He's still serving God as a priest.
01:21:30
Speaker
But he stands up for us in an intercession capacity. So he will do priestly tasks in heaven to worship his own father. But his intercession, his prayer life is directed at us. He doesn't have to pray for Father God. Father God will always be okay.
01:21:50
Speaker
nothing's going to upset him or harm him or face him. Father God's good. We are the ones who need help in protecting. so yes, he he will pray and intercede for those of us on the earth. So yeah, he's our compassionate God, Lord and priest. Good kitty. Yeah.
01:22:07
Speaker
Nice connection. And is he, is the um he's praying for all the the lost. He's praying even, even those that have no one to pray for them.
01:22:22
Speaker
Christians or people more generally? People that are not saved and you know they have no one to pray for them. Wow. You know what? i see no reason why not.
01:22:33
Speaker
Because as compassionate as we sometimes find ourselves being for the lost, Jesus loves them even more than we do. Jesus wants them saved even more than we do.
01:22:47
Speaker
and so I believe that yes, there'll be times when he will pray for them. and I believe there'll be times when he will, in his sovereignty, just appear before them and hug them or bless them or gift them or send someone their way or communicate with someone to pray for them or communicate with someone to go visit them and to encourage them to show up and show Christ. um Because everyone who has ever been saved has just been saved with the sovereignty of God anyway, you know? And he's moved by his own compassion. So I think it's a very fair assessment to assume that he's praying for the lost and is also moving, motivated by his own love for them into every situation they're in
01:23:38
Speaker
I believe absolutely everyone on Earth actually does have at least one opportunity to get saved before they die. Everyone who reaches an age of accountability. I actually do believe in some way he arranged at least one appointment with them.
01:23:59
Speaker
And i have known people who've lived their lives, their adult lives in rebellion. Not not that they sat under ah good teachers and said, f you, give the middle finger.
01:24:14
Speaker
They would have sat under counterfeit teachers of the Bible who did not understand the word, who were terrible ambassadors of the word because Holy Spirit did not live in them.
01:24:27
Speaker
and They served the devil. They just pretended to serve Jesus. um But I have
01:24:36
Speaker
made two or three times minimum. I have prayed for people who were on their deathbed, people who were too dragged under with cancer and tiredness to even stay awake i've said lord jesus walk into the room and witness to this person speak to them reveal yourself before they die and i've seen jesus walk into the room stand over them and introduce himself to them and say even physical the body was asleep um yeah
01:25:10
Speaker
yeah Never give up praying. And even if you feel like Holy Spirit someday tells you, Kitty, pray for someone. one She is a woman who lives in Angola. She is 22 or something random like that. Something you would never think yourself in the course of your day.
01:25:29
Speaker
Do it. Because it could very well be Holy Spirit prompting you to pray for someone. And Earth was given to humans to rule. So when you move, you apply your natural, he can apply his super, the supernatural, and move in power in the most amazing way. So watch out for those moments when you get a weird thought in your head or a strange picture or an unexpected feeling or an unexpected memory comes up or someone pops into your head and you're like, God, why?
01:26:03
Speaker
Because it's probably God actually talking to you. um I had a very, very good friend who's one of the best friends. 13 years ago, 12 years ago. And we didn't fight. We didn't argue. We never had an argument. But one day he just walked out my life. Bon voyage. He was gone.
01:26:23
Speaker
And it hurt. It did. But I was too proud to tell him it hurt. And I was definitely too proud to change that. And then last week, think it was Thursday, Wednesday night, Thursday afternoon,
01:26:41
Speaker
He came on my mind and my heart so strongly out of nowhere. And I just said, God, this is nuts. I'm like a one and done. if you're in my life, great. If you walk out of it, goodbye.
01:26:54
Speaker
And i just said, God, you sent him into my life to be a blessing to me and for me to be a blessing to him. And whatever he was going through. And I had an inkling. I didn't know everything. I had an inkling.
01:27:10
Speaker
I said what he needed was that was it was help. What he needed was me. I just couldn't get over my pride because I felt abandoned and rejected. So I said, fine, you know, go away. um But this day, I just said, God, what is it?
01:27:26
Speaker
Why is he on your mind so strongly? Why is he on my mind? Of all the people he knows, does he not actually have any friends who can just, i don't know, help him so i picked up my phone and I didn't have his number.
01:27:40
Speaker
um I had him on Facebook Messenger, which just about 1% of 30-somethings still use. And I just was like, hey, buddy, ah I've been thinking about you lately. I didn't say I'd been thinking about you for 10 seconds, which was true, but lately. How's it going?
01:28:03
Speaker
Send. And I got a very quick response. And I knew things were not good. So my normal response would be, oh, you know, let's meet up sometime, which never happens. And I said, God, I actually have nothing else planned today.
01:28:24
Speaker
I can make myself busy, but I have nothing planned. So I said, well, listen, if you're free now, you want to meet up?
01:28:36
Speaker
And again, i had not spoken to him in over a decade. And he just said, yeah, that'd be awesome. Let's meet up with this place this time. and So we met up and we must have spent upwards of 10 hours together.
01:28:53
Speaker
I crawled back into my house at five past three in the morning. but But it was necessary. Things were discussed. We shone a light in a couple of things that needed it. We got the awkward conversation the way.
01:29:08
Speaker
um And I'm very happy that that door has reopened. And now saying, God, let's have a take to everything that we should have accomplished together.
01:29:21
Speaker
Originally, that didn't happen, that got stolen, that got thrown away by my own pride or fear. Let's have a do-over with greater acceleration this time.
01:29:33
Speaker
And that's how amazing God is. That's how good he is. But I just had to recognize that someone popping into my head that I have not thought about in 12 years, that was a God thing.
01:29:48
Speaker
That was not a me thing. So keep your your eyes peeled. Keep your ears sharp. Your heart open to things of God. And whenever you get that unction, whenever you feel he's impressing someone or something,
01:30:03
Speaker
unexpected or random to you, he's doing it for a reason. Okay? yeah Amen. Sabina? Oh, sorry, go on.
01:30:16
Speaker
Yeah, I just wanted to say, I don't know if you want to discuss this, but you know the scripture that says all are called, but few are chosen? Okay. i It's a bit of a
01:30:28
Speaker
a It's a bit controversial because people don't like the free will versus predestination thing. But the reality is, do have money with me?
01:30:39
Speaker
I'll with a note.
01:30:46
Speaker
Two sides of the one coin. I know this is a note. Pretend it's a coin. God's will is that all people be saved. But if God calls you, you have the free will to say yes or no.
01:31:01
Speaker
Because salvation is a gift. So God might say, well, listen, an I have a gift for you. It's called everlasting life. Go on, take it, take it, take it. in You have three responses.
01:31:13
Speaker
You can say yes. You can say no. Or you can take it for a time and then say, you know what? I actually like being a whore. i actually like being a thief. I actually like having murder my heart.
01:31:30
Speaker
Nah, Jesus isn't for me. And return it to sender. Yes, no, return to sender. They are your three options. So God's good, perfect, pleasing will is that everyone would achieve their destiny.
01:31:43
Speaker
But you have to make a decision with an act of your will to say yes or no. That's to salvation. That is to being everything he's called you to be.
01:31:55
Speaker
if you tell to start of business, that's your business. If it's about relationships, friends, lovers, neighbors, colleagues, you have make a decision there. And because he will not override human human will, human free will, he gave it to us for reason.
01:32:11
Speaker
and there has to be choice in love. If you remove choice from love, you end up in prison. And his will is that all people would come to know him and step into everything he has for them.
01:32:27
Speaker
individuals have to make it a choice if they're not even jesus called a lot of people hey you come follow me oh no jesus i've got a funeral sorry not happening hey you come follow me um my finances aren't really in the right place jesus now ask someone else um you see examples of it in his earthly ministry He was a very busy guy. he had three and a half busy years. He didn't have time to waste and he did not wait for people.
01:32:59
Speaker
He wanted yes men. He wanted people who would drop it, everything at the drop of a hat and follow him. And people who would move with adrenaline.
01:33:12
Speaker
He would go on instinct. He would put God before practicalities and logistics. And... So he called a lot.
01:33:23
Speaker
The ones who were chosen were the ones who aligned with their perspective, but God's perspective. Okay? Someone left the open fear. Or she's looking down playing the games. When God will um set someone up to fail, 100%. In his sovereignty, all people have done wickedness.
01:33:45
Speaker
All people deserve punishment. And you have instances like Pharaoh in Exodus, who is so wicked, so evil, ah baby killer.
01:33:57
Speaker
So God said, you know what? I'm going to put you in a position of power and I'm going to destroy you for the evil that you have done with an act of be your will. Look at the politicians on the earth today. Look at in our own country, Kitty, yeah.
01:34:12
Speaker
Micheál Martin. Um, um, you know, Leo Varadkar, the clown, you know, who got in last time. Um, Roderick O'Gorman, who has some very,
01:34:25
Speaker
um perverted relationships with some very dangerous philosophies regarding how okay it is to molest children and the likes.
01:34:37
Speaker
I believe that God has them in power now to have it an Exodus moment. I believe he has them in power now to have a rerun of the book of Exodus.
01:34:47
Speaker
They hate life. They hate God's people. They hate Jesus. They hate children. They hate the elderly. They will not be happy until this becomes a nation um running in the blood of the native population. So I believe has but his intention actually is to put them there to make an example of them.
01:35:06
Speaker
He has set them up to take a fall because they chose to be wicked and evil. So he said, okay. But there are consequences. And the wealth of the wicked is actually being stored up for the just.
01:35:20
Speaker
So that's the free will, predestination binary. They're not different. they They coexist. Christians try to make them different, but two things can be true at once. Okay. Okay.
01:35:38
Speaker
But he has called people like yourself to be pastors, teachers, prophets. He has, but we have to make, it he can give you a gift, but you could choose not to walk in it.
01:35:52
Speaker
He could make someone a prophet by the power of the Holy Spirit. I'm not saying Holy Spirit in them, I said by the power of the Holy Spirit, give them that gift. And they could decide to use it to become a medium.
01:36:06
Speaker
To become A witch or warlock. They could say. Because the gifts of God are irrevocable. You could literally decide to go and do wickedness. She or an adulterated wickedness.
01:36:17
Speaker
and And you would still have that gift. So that's different from salvation. But. God's will is for. is for Goodness. For righteousness. For salvation. For justice.
01:36:32
Speaker
He prefers grace to mercy. He prefers forgiveness to justice. But he will enact justice when he has to um But say it depends on um the people.

Moses' Leadership and Israelites' Journey

01:36:45
Speaker
He told the Israelites in his early acts, it's when Stephen is on trial. Stephen says that when the fullness of time was just about up, Moses at 40 years of age went to his people and killed an Egyptian slave driver.
01:37:04
Speaker
At the age of 40, Moses was supposed to lead his people to freedom. The very people he tried to rescue called him a murderer, blackmailed him, insulted him, said they did not want him.
01:37:19
Speaker
He ran away and their destiny was postponed by 40 years. At 80, he led them to the border of promised land. They chose not to go in. Their destiny was stolen. Well, rather, they gave it up.
01:37:33
Speaker
And their descendants got in 40 years later. So God's will is perfect, but people have to make a decision to step
01:37:50
Speaker
Thank you, Kitsi. I appreciate that. Amen. right, let's go Sabina and then Sophie. Sabina, you've had your hand up. Go for it.
01:38:00
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. i You might not have the answer right now, but you can see me later. So I have two questions actually. Yep. Okay. First one. a Okay.
01:38:15
Speaker
Lucifer. Okay. God created him. he sees so he met God. He knows God is the creator. He's seen at all, everything. So why would he want to take God's place when he knows the power of God?
01:38:29
Speaker
My first, my second question is, what was my second question? Um, God created all of this. God was already there all the time. God created the angels, all this. But where is evil coming from in heaven? Evil.
01:38:47
Speaker
Yeah. So Lucifer was jealous. ah Where did it come? is Like in in heaven, there was all all everything was from God. There was God, ah light, everything. But where is this evil coming from?
01:39:00
Speaker
Like in human, on the earth, evil comes is coming from the Sifar, from the devil, from the polar dangerous, yes. But what about in heaven? Where is evil coming from? Yep.
01:39:11
Speaker
Awesome question. Okay. they I think I'll answer your second question first

Hebrews 2 and Lucifer's Rebellion

01:39:18
Speaker
to keep it chronological. That might make more sense, okay? Yeah. a If you look at Sam 8...
01:39:27
Speaker
eight Sam 8. Yeah,
01:39:33
Speaker
Sam 8. And it also appears in Hebrews 2, okay? It's the same thing. Sam 8 and Hebrews 2 are the same. So Hebrews 2 verse 5 says, It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, and about which we're speaking.
01:39:58
Speaker
But there is a place where someone has protested. Which verse is it? That is Hebrews 2, 5. Oh, okay. And and then verse 6.
01:40:11
Speaker
But there is a place, and theres some translations in English say testified, some say protested. I think protested makes far more sense. But there is a place where someone has test has protested.
01:40:24
Speaker
What's man that's remindful of him? The son of man. Did you care for him? You made him a little more than the angels. You crowned him with glory and honor.
01:40:37
Speaker
put everything under his feet. That is not a very happy angel. That's a very unhappy supernatural being. We can read that in context in Psalm 8, where it says, O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth.
01:40:58
Speaker
You've set your glory above the heavens from the lips of children and infants you've ordained praise. Because we're enemies to silence the foe and the avenger. When I consider your heavens the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars which you've set in place.
01:41:17
Speaker
What's man that you're mindful of him? The son of man that you care for him? made him a little lower than the heavenly beings.
01:41:29
Speaker
And crowned him glory and honor. You made him ruler over the work of your hands. You put everything under his feet. All flocks and herds, the beasts of the air, the beasts of the field, and the fish of the sea, all that swim the path of seas.
01:41:48
Speaker
Oh, Lord, oh, Lord, how majestic is your name on all the earth. Right, okay. So Hebrews 2 tells us. That an angel was protesting. A supernatural being was not very happy when he said this.
01:42:02
Speaker
Who said this? Lucifer. Jesus is the morning star. Lucifer is the sun of the morning. The light bearer. The one who would shine the light of Jesus. Jesus what is the Lord. Lucifer was the anointed cherub.
01:42:21
Speaker
That's Ezekiel 28. That's Ezekiel 28. He would be around Jesus. He would shine the light of Jesus wherever he went. He probably knew Jesus better than any other cherub did.
01:42:33
Speaker
and like I shared earlier, the cherubim are always around Jesus. And they're his unofficial bodyguards. He has a very intimate relationship with them. None more so than Lucifer.
01:42:46
Speaker
Lucifer would have been like his son almost. That's how much they loved each other. like You know, like how a father is reflected by the sun, or you have the sun and the moon reflects the sun's light. That's what Lucifer did for Jesus.
01:43:00
Speaker
And yet, and being the anointed cherub, what does the anointing do? it reveals all things. Now in heaven, how are things revealed?
01:43:11
Speaker
They're revealed in stones. And you see in Isaiah, when Jesus appears to Isaiah, he has m burning coal in his mouth. And a seraphim, which is like a, it's not a demon, okay? It's just a snake like Cherubim, took a coal and put it in Isaiah's mouth.
01:43:31
Speaker
The burning coal. And suddenly, but Isaiah began to prophesy. So there are seeing stones in heaven. You'd hold the stone, you'd have a vision.
01:43:42
Speaker
And then Lucifer would pick up the stone and he would, he had the anointing and the anointing reveals all things. had a prophetic gift. He would prophesy the earth. He would prophesy babies would be born. He prophesied the man and the woman were coming.
01:44:00
Speaker
And he stopped. And it goes, hang on a second.
01:44:05
Speaker
I don't know what a man and a woman are, but I know they're physical beings.
01:44:12
Speaker
They are going to be given a planet. They are going to be entrusted with the physical realm. All i will ever be is an employee.
01:44:25
Speaker
You're going to make those creatures who don't even exist yet your children.
01:44:33
Speaker
I'm just an an unpaid worker. And he was livid. In the Hebrew, this reads... What is man? What is a sickly, disgusting, filthy, sinful, depraved, blood-vesseled chap?
01:44:57
Speaker
It's really, really aggressive in the Hebrew. And when it's written in Greek in Hebrews 2, it has this sense of commiseration about it. It's like, oh A man openly, that's a sickly, frail, disgusting, like humans.
01:45:16
Speaker
It seemed like a dirty word. That's how this is actually read in the Hebrew. And in Hebrew how it's read in the Greek. And this is Lucifer having a vision of the coming of humans.
01:45:29
Speaker
And he feels envious. Then we go forward to Isaiah 14. Isaiah 14. isaiah fourteen And we'll start in verse 12.
01:45:45
Speaker
Isaiah 14, verse 12.
01:45:49
Speaker
How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn. um This being Lucifer now. It's all about Lucifer.
01:46:01
Speaker
You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid and laid low the nations. So after his rebellion in heaven, because he hated humans, He was thrown down to the earth so humans could trample on him.
01:46:15
Speaker
He hated us, so we were going to war against him.
01:46:21
Speaker
You said in your heart, this is the first thing, Sabina. You said in your heart, I will ascend to heaven. i will raise my throne above the stars of God.
01:46:34
Speaker
I will sit enthroned in the Mount of Ascend on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds. I will make myself like the most high.
01:46:47
Speaker
So here he's speaking. and Sophie writes pride in the chat box, exactly. Here he's declaring he will be sovereign over all. But listen now, this is interesting.
01:46:59
Speaker
You said in your heart, I will ascend to heaven. Lucifer was already in heaven. So instead... And ah in this is the most common English translation.
01:47:14
Speaker
You can translate it differently because some words in Hebrew have different, lots of different meanings. This can translate as, will ascend to heaven.
01:47:25
Speaker
i will raise my throne above the omnipotence of God. i will as exalt myself in a way God never expected or intended. i will sit enthroned in the peripheral vision, in the peripheries, and in the hidden places.
01:47:48
Speaker
That you can also be translated that way in Hebrew. I will be over what is seen, what's on the outskirts, what is hidden. i will be over all. I'll ascend above the tops of the dark scud clouds, and I'll make myself like the most high.
01:48:07
Speaker
I will make myself like the Most High. Not I will make myself the Most High. He's not saying i will become God. I'll make myself like the Most High.
01:48:19
Speaker
I'll make myself in the image of the Most High. i will make myself a human. No supernatural being can take control of the earth and really run it and rule it effectively.
01:48:37
Speaker
It has to be a physical blood best blood vessel being. The physical world was made to be run by humans. If Lucifer wants to run the earth, he needs to have a man on the earth.
01:48:51
Speaker
So here he's prophesying the Antichrist. I will make myself a human vessel who will rule over the peripheral vision, the peripheries, the the hidden places. I'll make myself a human body that can conquer the whole of the earth, and because he's arrogant, and ascend the omniscience of God, ascend the understanding of God to take over heaven.
01:49:22
Speaker
I'll make myself a hybrid. I'll make myself a physical vessel that I can live within. and So his aim was always, that's why I cannot stand when Christians today are like, the Antichrist, the Antichrist, the Antichrist, the Antichrist. Like, did they swear they woke up one day and the devil just decided to be a baddie.
01:49:43
Speaker
The e devil has always had a man on the earth. From as early as Nimrod in the Tower of Babel, if not earlier.
01:49:54
Speaker
He has always wanted a man on the earth. through whom he could bring in an end times scenario, take over the world. Always and ever, it's always been the plan. And even in Genesis 1-2, so after the demons have been kicked out of heaven, we're told Holy Spirit hovered over the waters.
01:50:15
Speaker
Waters translates as the sea, urine, and semen, sperm. So it's possible that even Then, the enemy was trying, from you water and rocks whatever, try to manufacture a human being. Obviously, he he failed.
01:50:38
Speaker
But it's possible, to not outside the realm of possibility, that he was even getting busy trying to manufacture a body as soon as he got kicked out of heaven.
01:50:48
Speaker
So it has always been the plan. The Antichrist is not the devil's plan Z. has always been his plan A. to have a human vessel that he could live within and rule within. So why did he do it? Because he hated humans.
01:51:03
Speaker
He wants to be a human, to take, two two two to basically to spite God. um How did evil enter heaven?
01:51:15
Speaker
You said in your heart. He planned and intended this, in the inner place, in his heart. He committed to wickedness. He committed to doing the opposite of what God wanted. he and he committed to the opposite of God's plan. Being a prophetic cherub, he saw the world as was always meant to be.
01:51:40
Speaker
He made a decision with an act of his will to speak what was contrary. And then he went around different angels, And we're told elsewhere that by and his gift, by his wealth, he led other kings

Parable of the Lost Sheep

01:51:59
Speaker
astray.
01:51:59
Speaker
so hey, I'm a prophetic and angel, you know, a prophetic cherub. Oh, I look in your future and i see i see a country and it's yours. We have to side with me to get it.
01:52:12
Speaker
Oh, hey, hey, yeah hey, you. Oh, I look in my crystal ball. That's witches got the idea. And I see that you are going to be a despot over a continent.
01:52:23
Speaker
But ah not if you do things God's way. Did you know that human beings be on a whole planet and you're just going to be an employee? Does that sound fair to you? And he began to manipulate with false prophecies, with manipulated prophecies, other angels in heaven.
01:52:39
Speaker
and that's how they became demons. That's how he got them on sight.
01:52:44
Speaker
Okay, so ah a long answer. But I think we have videos on that in more detail, which I can send you directly afterwards on YouTube and if you'd like, okay?
01:52:56
Speaker
Yeah, yeah, please. Yeah. Great, great. Thanks for that. Of course. hey Sophie, go for it. What's your question? Um, it's not more, well, it's more. Yep.
01:53:11
Speaker
It is a question. Okay. But it's not. That's right. So, so, oh, God, I've gone bone dead now. Um,
01:53:22
Speaker
So oh yeah that was it. So the terminology, well, the the um scripture and where it says Jesus left the 99 to get the one. and Now, one you know, I love that scripture so much because to get the one, ah question myself, is the one that is so lost, so deep in sin,
01:53:50
Speaker
so bad doing the worst of all things is that the what is that a one what he classifies as that ah one that is a super question and i love the way you're thinking because i'm going to tell you something that i have literally never heard anyone else on earth say start not with a story all the the last sheep um This is Luke 15 you're talking about. Yes.
01:54:22
Speaker
Start with Luke 15, verse 1. Start by looking at his audience. and So, you have a Bible handy? I I've always got... Where are you and Okay. which is
01:54:39
Speaker
So, when you have it open, look at Luke 15. fifteen And then and That tells you Okay. not Because he's not and he's not actually speaking here in the abstract.
01:54:54
Speaker
He's speaking about the people that he that are listening to him. Yes.
01:55:02
Speaker
So there was all sinners and and to hear Jesus, but the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, this man welcomes sinners and eats with them.
01:55:15
Speaker
Very good. Exactly. Yeah. So here we have tax collectors who are sinners. And here's the thing. They were they were a national traitors.
01:55:28
Speaker
Think of like, you know, after World War Two, all the French people, the Nazi occupants. You know got their heads shaved. So when they walked down the street, everyone was like, you know, treason, treason. Yeah.
01:55:41
Speaker
That's what these guys were. They were literally shacking up with the Roman Empire, using and abusing their own people to get the wealth of the regime. yeah These people were sinners. They deserved all the hatred they got.
01:55:54
Speaker
That's just being honest.
01:55:57
Speaker
But yet, it's these same people who are lost. who are despised by their own nation, with good reason, they did betray who are running to Jesus to listen to him, and they actually have eyes to see, ears to hear, and heart to understand.
01:56:17
Speaker
You also have the people who are paid to teach the Bible. Yeah. And they cannot recognize God in flesh when they look at him. Yeah. They look at him, and they don't say, this is Jesus, the son of Joseph. Mm-hmm. They say, this is Jesus, the son of Mary. You know that one from Galilean, Mary? i You know, oh, Jesus, we're the legitimate sons of Abraham.
01:56:43
Speaker
Who's your daddy, Jesus? That's who they are. These are the ones who look at Jesus as a bastard. As someone who's born with unmarried parents, whose mother was a whore, and Joseph married her to some false sense of obligation.
01:56:56
Speaker
That is all they see him as. A long haired, sandals wearing, hippie who happens to the Bible more than they do, but they're in the payroll, so his teacher's less valid.

Sophie's Spiritual Journey

01:57:09
Speaker
That's all this is. And Jesus shared this story with the last sheet. Suppose one of you, again, people read this story in the abstract, he had a live audience.
01:57:25
Speaker
Suppose One of you, he's talking the tax collectors and the Pharisees, has hundred sheep and loses one of them.
01:57:37
Speaker
Does he not leave the 99, the open country, and go after lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders, the same place he put the cross, and goes on.
01:57:50
Speaker
Then he calls his friends and neighbours together and says, Rejoice with me! found my lost sheep! These are the angels because we know that angels celebrate in heaven when one is lost.
01:58:02
Speaker
and I tell you in the same way. There'll be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over 99 righteous persons who do not need to repent. Sophie, you're an intelligent woman in the word of God. so I'm going to put you the spot and ask you a question. Yes. Have you ever in your entire life met a righteous person who did not need to repent?
01:58:26
Speaker
Ever once in your life have you them? No. Exactly. They don't exist. No, they don't. The last sheep is the tax collector. Because the tax collector knows he's screwed.
01:58:39
Speaker
Yeah. The righteous people who don't need to repent are those who are so proud and so arrogant. And again, it's the priest class. Lucifer was a priest, went dark side. Pharisees are priests, went dark side.
01:58:55
Speaker
Repent. I'm perfect. i'm ah yes I teach the Bible. It's my perfect. This is not a story about Jesus abandoning the church to get the lost.
01:59:08
Speaker
This is Jesus walking away from those who say, i don't need you. I'm already good enough. I'm already perfect. You cannot call out my sin because have any Galilean
01:59:24
Speaker
the ninety nine is is It's so weird because i am ah a lot of there's a lot of Christians. um So where I moved to is where my other daughter lives. is It was a coincidence. It wasn't a plan. um And I find out that um our girlfriend's mother lives down there and she's a Christian.
01:59:48
Speaker
And through how she accepted that relationship, and i said a couple of bits and said, maybe getting a bit angry and called her fake Christian. And I was like, oh, you know, and I've met the woman. She's a lovely woman, but she doesn't believe in evangelism.
02:00:14
Speaker
And that is through the church. And so a lot of and it's it's so, you know, my walk with Christ and joining ministries and Daniel Adams, I didn't learn a lot being with Daniel Adams, except for at the race course, you know, had that vision and I saw and I was filled with Holy Spirit, which is amazing. um But I've learned more in this last year.
02:00:40
Speaker
And being a part of o hm you, i mean, this Bible teaching is amazing. you know, our Jesus, I never knew, you know, because I'm rubbish at reading and I've got patience of a gnat. So to read, i have to read small, i have to read verses. and flick through verses and think oh okay let's get that now but to know Jesus was always there from the beginning is that for me was wow absolutely wow it's just something else and to get the teachings and then you just do you know when you walk and this is something that I speak so regular from for a year
02:01:29
Speaker
wisdom and knowledge you know i pray i always pray for a little bit more can have a little bit more little bit i pray for wisdom and knowledge and i'm being greedy and just a little bit more wisdom and knowledge keep asking you and you give me so much and bla blah blah bla blah and it gives it me but it gives it me to all the people like yourself through mark and laura or you know and i know you know the revelation so as we walk and um maybe reading our Bible prayers and, you know, supplication and blah, blah, blah.
02:02:04
Speaker
Honestly, it is, I find it, So when I, you know, i never understood when people say when you're in Christ, your your happiness, it exceeds unex expectations. You cannot explain it.
02:02:24
Speaker
And it's so unexplainable until you do your own walk. It's magnifying. But um I've always known what it meant.
02:02:36
Speaker
But the question to you was just, hmm, does it mean that? Well, yeah, it does mean that. Well, I'm going to ask Brendan anyway, and because a lot of a lot of my family at the minute...
02:02:49
Speaker
and A lot of them call me evil and Satan and the devil, six sixteen blah, blah. But the Lord's humbled my heart because if this would have been years ago, and it's only since I've been in Christ, I've got this. And my brother is who's dying with this brain tumour, he won't forgive me for some reason. I don't know what I've done. I haven't done anything. So, you know, I don't know what is the bitterness and...
02:03:19
Speaker
obviously and i know where it comes from his own walk his own sin and unforgiveness and blah blah blah yeah and
02:03:31
Speaker
but the lord you know this revelation kept coming to me um do not take revenge revenge is mine you know vengeance is mine vengeance is mine la man Yeah, and and I say, you know Lord, if if this is your vengeance, then let your will be done. But it's through his walk. You know, the understanding is God hasn't done this. It's his walk and his blah, blah, blah.
02:04:00
Speaker
And for me, I would have, if this would have happened two years ago, his illness, is you know his suffering and you know what he's going through, have been, well.
02:04:11
Speaker
yeah, yeah. You know, when I had my cancer, he he was like this or like that. Yeah. it To explain the forgiveness and there's not one bitter. All I've done is sob and cry and cry out to the Lord, you know, many things.
02:04:33
Speaker
And, i you know, I'm on the phone to my sister all the time and my sister and saying to her how I can't believe how my own heart has changed. I'm so amazed.
02:04:45
Speaker
and And I'm like, why are you bothered? even said to myself, why are you bothered? And I'm like, don't ask yourself that. Because i am bothered.
02:04:57
Speaker
know, I love him. He's my brother. I love all my siblings. But if if there's been two years ago, be like, well they've choked me like this. So it's amazing what I want to do. But the Lord is putting it on me. But I know...
02:05:12
Speaker
I know Satan's got his hands on him because he won't repent. He believes in God, but not the God like we think. So everyone's shut me out, the family. Everyone's shut the door. They call me devil, Satan, and six, six, whatever they do. And I'm praying for them. I'm praying for the arts to be open in their minds, you know, for the Lord to close their mouths and stop them, you know,
02:05:36
Speaker
and So was saying to my sister, I just need to lay my hands on him, just need to lay my hands on him, just to say, you know, it's okay. You can spit in my face, come what you want.
02:05:50
Speaker
You know, I just want you to love but love the Lord before you go, because this isn't about flesh. This is about when you die, you're not going to die. You're just going to be asleep. And i just want to tell him the i want to tell him the whole story, you know.
02:06:06
Speaker
and just to open his eyes, just to receive. and Because the this this this book is a revelation of what's going on now and people and their hearts. And all my family are chasing money and who's leaving money. You know, my mum, she's bedridden. She's got ulcers. She's got this. And she's a woman of God. But she's she's got hopelessness and she's lost in this whole...
02:06:38
Speaker
it it's heavy in the house and i and I refuse to go in there. It's so heavy-bending, I cannot go in there because I know the devil works through people to attack and I can't spiritually

Group Prayer and Conclusion

02:06:51
Speaker
take that. So, and i mean, I know I'm waffling on and we've got to go, it's late. and But I just want to say this book to anyone who's on here, when the Holy Spirit gets you,
02:07:09
Speaker
He gets you and you you understand. yeah It's revealed. It's revealed through people. It's revealed through time. and it's revealed through your own patience and walking God.
02:07:23
Speaker
So, it is yeah, it's just amazing. But he learns you to love. He does soften your heart. you And he does, honestly, so, so much because was, my heart was so hard, so hard.
02:07:38
Speaker
I wouldn't have given a damn about, you know, don't care. And it would have been, but no, you know, I'm trying so hard to, but reminding myself that keeping my eyes on the Lord and letting him do his work as I pray. Because it's weird, Brendan. I prayed. This is one thing I did pray for ago. I prayed to the Lord and I said, Lord...
02:08:09
Speaker
Give him peace. Because he was crying, you know, he was so upset. I don't want to die. i don't want to die. You know, I've got this and that. i don't want to. And I says, Lord, in his weakness, you are strong.
02:08:21
Speaker
So just give him the peace to accept. is sleep so he can possibly be received by you and hopefully you can break down that wall and we can come face to face and you know so i can help him to get to to you and it's weird um my sister said to me when they gave him he went to the hospital the other day and they said you know it's gone all over your left side there's nothing we can do basically chemo radio and b
02:08:58
Speaker
he's took it like a pinch of salt my sister said wow sophie there's no crying there's no weeping there's no sobbing he's like rose yeah i'm fine i'm going out and i've got an appetite And she goes, so he can eat. He's eating loads of food. is So come on.
02:09:21
Speaker
This is not a coincidence, guys. It's not a coincidence. This is faith in Christ. Yeah. It's amazing.
02:09:32
Speaker
it is. And it will not let you down. He will not leave you disappointed. No, definitely not. And healing dreams and deliverance dreams and salvation dreams, um they are among the most efficient means of God doing what he needs to do, in my opinion. And so, yeah, keep it up and keep praying that the Lord just tears down the walls of resistance. Oh, yes, definitely. Even those dreams.
02:10:00
Speaker
We were praying for you intensively this morning, just, you know. and and and for SAF of course and that you will have a moment face to face yes and I know i know it's going to happen it is things are moving things are shifting Amen Amen Amen alright
02:10:24
Speaker
Kitty we'll pray for you and then we'll wrap up for it tonight what was your prayer for tonight Kitty
02:10:37
Speaker
Yeah, Brandon, let me hear it in my voice.
02:10:45
Speaker
Sorry, I've always had this sinus infections and I've had a very bad chest infection, sinus infection, fungal infection and um I was put on one antibiotic and that didn't work.
02:11:03
Speaker
Then I was put on another one and Like these in fact days and antibiotics are supposed to feed the fungal infection. But um it's it's still, I'm at the end of the second one.
02:11:16
Speaker
I actually lost a strip of the the antibiotic and God always was helps me find, li you know, for something I lost, but I can't find it.
02:11:27
Speaker
I think God doesn't want me to take them. um But the infection is still there. and it Of course, it's not near as bad as it was, but I just want want a an end to it.
02:11:40
Speaker
I don't want to go back to them for more antibiotics. Sure. it sad it's it it's It's just, um it lingers.
02:11:53
Speaker
i've I've always had problems, but this, this you know. Anyway. Okay. God, thank you for the beauty humility.
02:12:05
Speaker
and reaching out to your people for prayer, intercession, and support. As Lord, your word says that you exalt the humble.
02:12:18
Speaker
It's the prayer that you take down, that you make low. But it's the humble you exalt, Lord.
02:12:28
Speaker
You say that those who knock on the door will have the door answered to them. Those who ask, receive.
02:12:36
Speaker
And Lord, you also say that when you pray, don't be double-minded. Be in a position, a state of thankfulness, thanking God for what's to come, on the miracle to come, the breakthrough come. Not wondering if it will, I won't.
02:12:51
Speaker
So Kitty, you just prepare your heart now into a posture of thankfulness in advance. Annie double-mindedness, you speak to your soul right now and you tell Annie double-mindedness to shut its mouth, get behind you.
02:13:07
Speaker
Self.
02:13:10
Speaker
And Lord God, for the antibiotics that Kitty has taken, Lord Jesus, that are still in her system, even now, Lord God, put them to work.
02:13:23
Speaker
Even, Lord God, once you talk a day or two, two or three ago there are still lingering in our system, Lord God, put them to work to fight against all these different infections, God.
02:13:36
Speaker
Kitty had such a busy few weeks there of stepping up to show their love of Christ to her niece, Lord God, when she was in need.
02:13:50
Speaker
She is such a brave woman, such a giving woman, willing to be inconvenienced for the cross of Christ.
02:13:59
Speaker
Lord, she did everything that was required of her and then some to refresh a woman in need. Now, Lord, refresh your daughter Kitty in return.
02:14:18
Speaker
Lord Jesus, reach right into her body and pull out those infections, Lord, crushing them and tearing them apart, lopping heads off them like snakes.
02:14:32
Speaker
And breathe on her, Lord Jesus. so Breathe words of healing, of wholeness, of restoration,
02:14:44
Speaker
Jesus, do something fantastic and phenomenal and amazing, and exciting and kitties, Lord God. Even tonight, that as she wakes up tomorrow morning, she would know that she know that she knows that she's been healed.
02:15:00
Speaker
She would notice a stark improvement. God, I don't even say a stark improvement. That sounds like unbelief. She would notice, God, that she's healed. The pain is gone. discomfort is gone, God. The ease of access, the ease of breathing,
02:15:14
Speaker
is will be so abundant and undeniable, oh God. There'll be such a skip in her step that she's going to spend the whole day just meditating on what God has done for her.
02:15:30
Speaker
And when she hears what other people in need or who are going through a crisis, other challenges people face, she'll say, oh, look what God has done for me. He's done for you. and there'll be a fervor a zeal, a fire, a passion, Lord Jesus, in our prayer life that eclipses um everything, Lord God, that's come before. Lord,
02:15:57
Speaker
I do what only you can do. and for what the medication should have done, Lord Jesus, even now, retroactively, i pray for an acceleration of their effects.
02:16:10
Speaker
Yeah. But Jesus, you heal her at the source. Heal her at the root. In Jesus' name. And all God's people. Amen.
02:16:22
Speaker
Amen. Amen. and man man then god thank you bre everyone thank you and and then may or figure jesus' name and that's ri and then all right tap everyone thank you so much for joining this evening discipleship teaching thank you for your trust in me to share word of god with you to help you glean something you hadn't known before something that will behoove you strengthen you increase your love for jesus and equip you to go forth in your knee chasing and achieving
02:17:06
Speaker
and thank you for the interaction the end the prayer the amazing questions um the left field questions are always the best ones the questions don i used to hate them when first started teaching i used to think god have i been teaching something in exodus and these people have been thinking about like you know genesis isaiah and and and revelation and then i like were they listening to all? I used to get really intimidated by it but I i love it because the reality is if you come with a burning question and you leave with an answer that question you're going to remember that with a special fondness and zeal because it's something that was such a burning question on your own heart so i love it um so yeah thanks for for those questions too for the discussion there last hour

And to have a beautiful rest of your week, everybody. As always, we do not do discipleship on the final Wednesday of the month because making these teachings take ages and I need the extra night to make the next bit better. So we will not be meeting on the 29th, which is Wednesday next week, but we will resume as normal on the first Wednesday stay of May.
