And if Arsenal lose to Crystal Palace midweek... then we've won the league. If they draw, they can only catch us on goal difference. So we've basically won the league. I mean, we've basically won the league already, right?

um It was a very hard fought match. um I thought Leicester really surprised us all with the way that they came out. I mean, we saw some great performances. We'll get on into all of that, I'm sure, later on.

Firstly, um we started the game very well. Mohamed Salah hitting both posts very later ah very early on and Didi doing the same at the other end. And, you know, we did our usual ah in the first half of dominating in possession but not really doing an awful lot properly.

with the ball. Uh, I thought that there weren't many players who really stood out as bad. You know, I thought everyone, ah played pretty well, um, in both halves, really, uh,

those out of those who started um and you know we came in that first 10 minutes we saw exactly how the game was going to be and by the way that luke thomas fella of of leicester he had an awful lot to do it really shows the sort of quality that is coming through in the left back position for england because we've got miles lewis skelly uh we got lewis hall coming through and now we got luke thomas as well i'm sure there's someone else that i'm forgetting i just can't think of at the moment ah But, you know, it really shows that this England team is only going to get better and better if you are into international football, of course.

um But there wasn't an awful lot to talk about in the first half. I mean, um there was obviously that header from the corner from I think it was Canate who got the header in the first half that's.

Sort of came close to scoring, but just didn't ah didn't really have many opportunities other than that. um And then the second half came out ah came around. I know that I'm probably missing plenty of stuff in the first half, but ah my memory is pretty hazy these days.

In the second half, again, Salah was just on fire. um I thought Canate had a very good match. You know, he didn't really put much of a foot wrong. If anything, he should have been... man of the match rather than McAllister, although, you know, not to take anything away from McAllister either.

um Then they got that disallowed goal, sort of like two thirds of the way into the match. Connor Cody headed the ball in and celebrated, you know, he celebrated a disallowed goal for us before with Everton, which was a bit annoying, but, you know, it is what it is.

know we know who he grew up supporting. We know academy came from. And, you know, he's gone on to have a wonderful, incredible career ah for the teams that he's played for.

Not that I'm bitter. But, yeah, it it was a disallowed goal. We obviously had a little bit of words about this in the group chat. You know, Irby White, he thought that that was very wrongly disallowed by Stuart Atwell for a shove on Alisson.

But he was very anti-Trent Alexander-Arnold hate. um Obviously, this week, we've had some re-signings with Salah and Van Dijk, sort of using that money that was taken out of ah Trent Alexander-Arnold's contract, had it been renewed for next season.

booing of our own players i can also understand it listen not many of us were booing trent alexander arnold at the end of the match um especially after that goal that left-footed volley his first ever left-footed goal uh which is incredible to think considering the amount of goals he scored for liverpool even from defense is staggering um And then he had that celebration as well, um taking his shirt off, sort of like a this is what you came for celebration.

um And I think it was actually Timikas who put his shirt on the corner flag um and everyone sort of misinterpreted that. It is what it is. Let's not look too far into that. But with the booing, I mean, he completely silenced it.

But I do understand it because I just think He is leaving. I think we all know that. I think we all expected it. Out of the three, he was the one that was most likely to leave. And now that it's actually happening, none of us really want to come to terms with it, ah considering the fact that he is a scouser, considering the fact that he was a boyhood Liverpool fan, grew up idolising Steven Gerrard, someone who famously rejected offers from other teams to stay at Liverpool, including from Chelsea, including from Real Madrid, including from either Inter or another club that Mourinho was managing. Mourinho just tried several times to sign him, basically.

um For him to idolise someone like that, be brought up through the academy under his guidance, and then still want to leave, even though he's vice-captain, even though he's achieved so much with this Liverpool team, who at the moment are probably on par with um form with Real Madrid. In fact, better right now, because Real Madrid aren't winning a trophy this season.

That is where we could win the league. Then we go to Chelsea. Then we host Arsenal. Arsenal giving us that guard of honour. Oh, how beautiful will that be? I can't wait for that to happen. But Liverpool will reach 20 Liverpool-Walpool level in all-time English top-flight victories with Manchester United solidifying our place as the greatest English club ever.
