And Jan Möliuk is slowly building himself into the side. You know, Jensen's not, Jensen would be the other one who who would maybe come in. But I just don't think potentially doesn't have the fitness given that he's been injured for a lot of this season.

um But I'd certainly say if you've got to take one more player off the bench, you're not going to... take away ego tiago you're not going to take away gustavo nunez you're not going to take away matthias jensen um rica henry's going to be there i thought i would have i would have aaron hickey there as well um just because in what situation are we going to need ben me ethan pinnock and um christopher on the bench i just don't see a scenario and I might get proof wrong, but I don't see a scenario where that would need to happen. I think you can have Ben Mee in the changing room. You can have Ben Mee involved. Paris Magoma was involved in the warmup last week. um

Um, there's been times where he's looked good. He's looked tidy and he's not looked too far behind you. I'm only at times when he's come on this season. So, and Apart from that, i wouldn't I wouldn't expect any changes, especially to the starting line-up and talking of substitutes. If we need to change a game, I think the likes of Thiago Nunes and Jensen especially coming off the bench um wouldn't go amiss. And i wouldn't be opposed if Thomas Frank decided to start Jensen perhaps instead of Jan Moliuk. But I just think Jan Moliuk and the momentum he's on and i I think he's getting better and better in the side. He's a very young player, I think.

I'd like to see him stay in alongside Coyote. And like I said, I don't think you really need to change a winning team. I can see a spot as well for Igor Tiago in the starting 11 going forwards. Perhaps Kevin Sharder would come out. Johan Whistler would go move over to the left um like we did in Tiago's start against Newcastle this season. I'm not sure we started any other games for us.

I would say that I think Whistler is better down the middle. Um, I wouldn't want to disrupt that to bring Eagle Tiago in. I think Kevin Sharder offers, offers his own strengths as well.

I just think it's too soon and it probably will be too soon between now and the rest of the season. um to try and force a change like that um on Igor Tiago, who may not be able to complete 90 minutes anyway. So I think all the same going forward and much more options on the bench, which is positive signs going into this one.

It's which on the other hand do have more injuries um than Brentford. Obviously, ours are starting to heal. As they tend to towards the end of the season, most seasons so far, we've traditionally finished quite strong.

And I think that's probably a factor behind it. It's which have nothing to play for, but probably the best of the relegated sides and have standout player, certainly of the free relegated sides in Liam Dillat. We know what he can do. He'll probably stick around in the Premier League next season.

Julio Nciso as well is also capable of the spectacular dating back to his time at Brighton. Also, we saw it last week against Everton. What a goal that was from him. So he can produce something out of nothing and is someone to be a little bit wary of. And the likes of Amari Hutchinson as well can also contribute in the final third.

Defensively, they can be got at. um I would normally say, especially Leif Davis on the left, but he is suspended um following a sending off a couple of games ago. Again, Leif Davis is one of those sort of... um fullbacks maybe a little bit like Alfie Doughty last season um for Luton who can be got out defensively but has a great delivery and think he broke the assist record in the championship certainly for a defender um last season so that is the team news ahead of this one I don't expect it suits to have any players coming back who have been injured making their first start in this game so

Hello and welcome to part two of your daily Brentford podcast. Let's look ahead. Well, let's look back, first of all, to our previous meetings against Ipswich. Brentford won our only Premier League meeting against Ipswich in a 4-3 thriller.

at the GTEC earlier this season that in a game which saw Rich which take an early 2-0 lead which is wiped out before half time and then needed a 96 minute winner from Brian to settle things.

Let's hope for a much more low-key occasion um this time round. i'm not sure I could take similar drama to that. I think it was a cross. and It was like a cross come shot from Brian and Bumo which won the game for us and I think that game almost epitomised it for its season. I think they've got promise.

They can play well in certain stages of a game. They can get themselves ahead. They can score goals. But I just don't think they've shown the ability or the know-how or or the Premier League experience to ah replicate that performance over an entire 90 minutes and I think that's what we saw um essentially um in a nutshell at the GTEC earlier this season.

Brentford are unbeaten in our last three against Ipswich in all competitions dating back to a 2-0 defeat at Portman Road in the Championship in August 2017 and on that day the likes of Neil Morpé, Olly Watkins, Romain Sawyers and Harley Dean started.

Let's look towards the league table then. Ipswich have been relegated for a few weeks now and find themselves a point ahead of Leicester. They're in 18th place. Leicester in 19th place and 15th points behind 17th place West Ham. So it just shows the gap.

um And everyone's aware of the gap. It's been spoken about everywhere between the Premier League um and those bottom three in the championship. Yeah. But what I would say and what I have said just then, um all their all-round game, I think, is better than the bottom two. They've got players that can hurt you.

we'll still feel like they have something to prove. I feel like they'll they'll feel that you know relegation to some extent was expected this season and they're on a longer journey. um So they may play a bit more freely here and without pressure.

And I think we saw that last week um when they came back in Goodison Park from 2-0 down to draw 2-0. and That brilliant goal from NCISO, the highlight of it. But you know that's a difficult place to go.

um Everton don't have many games at Goodison Park left. So that would have been entirely unexpected. And they showed that they have a bit of character and they have a bit about them, despite the situation they find themselves in.

I think they are quite good going forward, but I think that front four, Dam's guard, Wisser and Bermot, Sharda, I just think we can wipe teams away if they're not at the required quality. And I do think Ipswich's defence perhaps isn't quite at the required quality. Yeah.

If we look back in the last few months, Brentford have a 9-0 aggregate scoreline away at the other relegated sides, Leicester and Southampton this season. and That's a 5-0 win at St Mary's in January and a 4-0 victory at Leicester more recently. So we've shown we can do it.

um We certainly can't go into this being complacent, but I think if our front three or four are on it, then I think Leicester, Ipswich, sorry, will find us difficult to contain.

um And that's what I'm hoping for this weekend. It still won't be easy. Any win in the Premier League is not easy. There's the other um intangible of any pressure the Brentford players might be feeling now, i think.

In the last week, it certainly dawned on me um that this is our best chance of getting into Europe um ever. And I don't think that chance is as realistic as it ever has been in the last week.

I think we've really put ourselves in a position with three wins in a row, um with rivals to those positions um falling over a little bit and and not being on the best form.

And I think there is a chance It's always easier to be the team chasing than to be the ones being chased. And I think we're on the verge now of being the side who is probably the most likely to finish eighth. And you do worry the potential impact that might have on performances and pressure. But I hope I heard one of the Brentford players saying,

that it's positive pressure. And I hope they recognize that, you know, we've got, we've almost got nothing to lose and everything to gain in some senses. So I really hope we put in another positive performance here and back it up and then just take one game at a time. And then there's really not many games to go.

um and we've given ourselves a real good chance so far. The final three games then offer little room for error out in the battle for Europe. Brentford, Bournemouth, Brighton and Fulham all vying for eight plays, which may carry Europa League conference spot, depending on whether the Palace win the FA Cup. We want Manchester City to win the FA Cup.

And there's also ah ah way that an extra spot could become available if Chelsea miss out on the Champions League, but win the Europa Conference League, which I think they will.

Brentford are currently ninth then in this battle, a point back from Bournemouth. They play Villa at 5.30 on Saturday after our game concludes and they will also play Manchester City next midweek prior to us taking the field against Fulham. Manchester City, of course,

in that f FA Cup final where we are backing City a lot and between now and the end because they also have to play Fulham. um But it is a massive opportunity. I think if Bournemouth beat Villa and then followed up by beating City, they deserve it.

i just think Ipswich are more likely, i do think this I do think they're more likely to score than Leicester or Southampton, so I've given them one. But we've got to back our front three. We are high scorers in the division this season. i think we're third highest scorers in the whole Premier League.

We've scored more goals in the Premier this season than Arsenal, I think. So i think we can be really dangerous on our day. And I don't see why against a side who has struggled defensively all season, why um we won't be able to do it if we hit our levels. So it would be a welcome boost if we were to win 4-1 to our goal difference compared to Bournemouth.
