uh, so many biometrics, it's actually insane. like When I weigh myself, it gives me um like my body fat muscle mass, bone mass, it gives me water. And I'm like, what? What does that even mean? It even like it gives the body age, it gives protein. I don't even know what that means, but it gives it to me. um It's really cool like to see the breakdown. um But I've seen myself become the ah but the that gym person. i now I now have protein drinks. I have pre-workout. Oh, yeah, I'm not doing all that. No. the best The best I can do is a nice little protein shake after my work. That's it. That's all you're getting out of me. aye I don't think I've ever had a scale in my house. Ever. Really? No.

Um, but yeah, and then there was a whole fiasco with that, um, with the scale, because, uh, it's a, you know, it has to have Bluetooth so that it can connect to the app and whatever. Um, and so I couldn't get it to connect. And so I like, I emailed their support team and I'm like, Hey, you know, Can't get it to work. I've tried everything on your website everything in the manual and they're like, okay well ill try this like list of like Stuff one more time. And if it doesn't work send this like your information your order number um Pictures of the product and then we'll send you a new one and I'm like, okay lit

So i I couldn't get it to work. So I sent them all the information that they needed. And this was back in May, like second week of May. And they're like, yeah, okay. So um you'll get um a new one in seven, 10 business days. I'm like, okay, lit. And so I wait the seven, 10 business days. It still didn't show up. And then I got an email on the 11th day and they're like, so how's the the the scale?

like um Is it connected? And I'm like, I never got the scale. And they're like, oh, okay. And so I like- Did they even send you like a tracking number? They did not. See, like how- insane it's so i'm like it's oh no i no i did not and they're like oh okay we'll just send you a new one what's your address again and i'm like uh so i gave them my address and then in three days i got um my scale three days after that i got my scale and then like a week she's gonna get another another one

No, because that was the thing. And I didn't think they would actually send it because like, they didn't give me a tracking number. And I was like, Oh, no, I'm like, because I did get the scale on sale. and Always, always be a little skeptical when you don't get that tracking number. Yeah. Oh, no, I was for sure. I was for sure. um But yeah, I was, I was very surprised that it came very quickly the next time. But yeah. Anyway, I am the I am the that workout person now. Okay, who would have thought I used to hate weighing myself. And now I am actually weighing myself. I felt like even if I did get like super into work, like I work out simply for health benefit, I literally don't even like working out. I just do it because I know it needs to be done. Cause I mean, I was like that, but I'm all like, I was already tracking my weight monthly. And I've been doing that for almost two years now. So I'm like, I might as well actually get a scale, like my own scale. ah Okay. Yeah. Makes sense. Yeah. So, but okay. yeah i wish Wish Kelly gets back. Also, she's, she's doing pre-workout now. Crazy. You know what? I will say the pre-workout helps. I mostly do it for the um for the caffeine boost. Because they i there are days ah like before I was taking it that like i'd I'd get off work, I'd get to the gym, and I'd literally just sit in my car for like five minutes. like i I can't do this. I don't want to be here. So having that boost to get it done, like it makes me feel so great.

Give me such a good pump. In a couple of years, when they find out the pre-workout is doing something terrible to people's brains, I will be at the forefront of that movement. And so I like, and I like offhandedly mentioned it to one of my coworkers and she was like, Oh, I don't think you could, cause I was just like, yeah, I'll just take my work laptop with me and I'll just work while I'm there. And she was like, Oh, I don't think you can work out of state. And I was like, what are you talking about? I was like, what what do you what are you talking about? And she's like, yeah, I heard that like two people tried working out of state and like their laptops weren't working. i was like And I was like, what? I was like, first of all, that doesn't make any sense. But secondly, what? And so I asked my lead and he was just like, I don't know.

um Yeah, and then the only other thing that really happened this week was one night I just could not sleep. It was almost two o'clock in the morning and I still wasn't sleep. I heard first off, I think I'm having like a Mandela effect with the like song. Has it always been in that minor key?

But I swear you- It's supposed to sound like a child's toy. I swear it used to sound higher though. But I listen to it now and it's like very like kind of just like, like I said, kind of stuff like it's like in a minor heat. I'm just like, wow. But I mean, I'm not sure. Who knows? Let's talk about this week's movie. Okay. So this week we're talking about 47 meters down. Yay. Yay. You know, I love shark movies. So yeah. Our movie starts with sisters, Kate and Lisa, and they're hanging out at the pool at the resort in Mexico. And later that night, Kate finds Lisa crying because her boyfriend, Stuart, dumped her and that's why she invited Kate on this trip. bro He dumped her because she was because he was bored. yeah And I was like, what does that mean? yeah What does that mean, huh? Bored of what?

but Yeah, right. Board of you, board of life. I don't... right like Is it depression? Did you even try to do some exciting things before you dumped this woman? Or did you just say decide she's boring and left her? It was just one of those, hey babe, you want to go to the game with me? And she was probably like, no. And he's like, boring. Boring bitch. Get out. Get out of here. Anyway, Kate then takes Lisa out and they meet two locals who invite them cage diving. Lisa is a little skeptical at first because she doesn't have diving experience, but Kate talks her into it.

The most we are going to do is we are going to go snorkeling because I know how to do that. Yeah, I know how to snorkel. I've done that before. and I know how to snorkel. um Also, I'm so deftly afraid of scuba diving. There's so many things that can go wrong and I'm just yeah not here for it. No, yeah, I get it. One of my aunties went scuba diving and she had, and she was getting training. And then I don't remember where she went, but she went diving. And then she came up just a little too fast and burst a bunch of blood vessels in her face. See, absolutely not. She looked, she looked like she had gotten into a fight and she knew how to dive. Yeah. i'm not She just came out just a tad too fast and like her just, yeah.

Oh, so that you're just wrong. But Lisa also brings up the fact that like this isn't one of those approved um activities. Not approved, but like um quote unquote safe activities because the hotel told them to only book with people that are associated with the hotel. And yeah, there's a reason for that. She was all concerned about it. I'm all like, girl, yeah, those are so valid. I don't I only booked my excursions through the hotel. Right. I don't play the game. Right. There's a reason guys. She's all like, and then like, if you don't do it, you look boring. Like, no girl, I'll look boring know why. on the beach. Right. Oh, I don't care. I don't care. Literally. You could call me boring all you want. I don't care. Right. I'm literally in Costa Rica. Right. I don't care. I don't care. Um, so yeah, he then takes them out into the middle of the ocean.

and Lisa freaks out, which I thought was insane. I was like, why are you guys going so far out? They they went really far out. They went really far out. Like you couldn't see any land they went so far out. Yeah, that's the scary part. Very scary. The only the only time I would feel like that was okay is if I was on a cruise ship. Like that's it. Yeah. And so um Lisa starts to freak out when they start chumming the water, but Kate once again talks her into it. And after watching the boys do it, which we never learned those men's names. No, we don't. with We never learned those two. I think they say it. They say it once when, um like later on in the movie when they need help. But even then I can't remember. No, that's not even them.

They go down in the cage and they're having fun seeing all the fish. It's a rusty ass cage. And it's being held by rope. Row. Not like industrial-striped cable. Rope. Yep. Absolutely not. No. I would have saw that roping on the lake. That's what's holding this cape? No. No. I'm out. I'm out. And for good reason. Yeah, extremely good reason.

And so yeah, they're taking photos. I think Kate drops her camera and then a giant 20 foot shark eats it. Yep. I don't know where sees it drop. It's barely out of the cage and the sharks like hope. First off, why would that shark eat a camera? Yeah. Secondly, where did it come from? Right. like insane. It's not like that water is that that darker cloudy. It wasn't. They were maybe they keep saying meters and I don't really understand the meters. They were like five meters. I don't know how many feet that is. Sorry Americans. oh But yeah and so after um after a little bit the cage starts to drop a little and so Lisa freaks out and she demands to be brought back up and as they're starting to go up

something happens because like I said they're just using rope and the cage falls 47 meters down to the bottom five meters is 16 about 16 and a half feet that's a lot it's more than a story of a building that's a lot um yeah but yeah um 47 meters is the length of is like half the length of a football field It's 154 feet. Yeah. that They went all the way to the bottom. 154 feet, half a football field. Yeah. yeah And I'm going to just say this now. I love the ocean. Great. Beautiful. I love looking at it. yeah I was not made to go under it. No. ah so Significant. I was not made for that. No. When I go to the beach, it literally goes up to my hips. That's as far as we're going. Yeah.

And so the girls who have passed out on the way down will wake up and Lisa is now bleeding. Yeah. inc Um, no, Kate is not bleeding. Sorry. And Lisa is freaking out and trying to get out of the cage, but Kate has to stop her and calm her down because she's using up all of her air. Yep. No. Also, why are you trying to get out of the cage? Right. Don't try to get out the cage, girl. Yeah, stay in that cage girl. Safest place in the cage. Um, uh, they also find out that they're like just out of range for the radio. So Lisa has to get out of the cage, but she can't get out because there's like the, I don't know what it's called. The thing that was holding the cage, like tying it to the boat.

I think they were calling it a winch. Sure. The winch is like on top of the cage. So they can't get out that way. And so she has to go through like the little openings. And she can't fit with all of her scuba gear on. So she has to take off her scuba gear. No. To get the right to get out. And then my the minute she said the minute she saw like, yeah, I can't fit through the bars. I have to take my mask off. I'd be like, OK, that's not an option. right That's not an option. First off, you're breaking the seal. So like when you put that mask back on, it's just going to be full of water. Full of water. Yeah. o

Like it's not like you're just, it's not like you just have a rebriever. Like you were wearing a full like oxygenated mask. Right. Insane, but they do it anyway. Like Lisa like fights it a little bit, but Kate's like, no, we got to do it. And so she's like, okay. yeah And they do it and Kate doesn't die somehow. Yeah, she doesn't die, which good for her. Good for her. Um, And so she swims up a little bit and she speaks with Captain Taylor and is like, we're okay. And he's like, okay, get back in the cage. We're going to come get you. Yeah. He's like, don't try to swim to the surface. Cause one sharks and two, you will catch the bins and die, which I guess is just like air bubbles in your brain or something. I don't really know that much.

um And so he's like, Yeah, I'm gonna, we're gonna send some people down to, like, tie another rig to your Cage and so when Lisa gets back to the case they sit and they wait and they talk about their different personalities Kate is boring as we said and Lisa is more carefree But Lisa's like I don't think you're boring. We're just different Yeah, you guys are you guys literally just have different personalities. It's all right.

They then hear what sounds like the boat leaving. So Lisa leaves the cage to get Captain Taylor back on the radio and is attacked by a shark and barely makes it back into the cage. This is why we don't leave the cage, girl. We don't leave the cage. Also, how could they hear the boat? They couldn't. like i feel like I don't think so. they wouldn't be like If I can't hear claps underwater, I'm pretty sure you couldn't hear. Right. If the music I put on just five feet above me at the pool doesn't reach me as good. You're not going to hear about it. You're not going to hear that boat. Sorry. Um, and so after Lisa gets back into the cage, she tells Kate that she couldn't get them on the radio. And so Kate starts freaking out thinking that they left them and I'm like, they didn't leave you girl. Like, come on. yeah you Um, and they noticed that

Um, they only have about like 20 minutes of air left. Lisa has even less than that. e Just as, um, captain Taylor's first mate, Javier, this is the person who we hear the name of. Yes, that's the, that yeah, that's who I was talking about. Javier is not one of those men that they were hanging out with. Oh, okay. He's like the captain's like assistant, first mate, whatever you want. Okay. um He's like, he's seen him the distance with a flashlight. And so they're like, cool, he's coming of to get us. But yeah Lisa's air is still rapidly going down. Even though Kate is the one that is like hyperventilating, but Lisa's air is... Kate somehow has been hyperventilating most of this time and she's okay. And she's perfectly fine. Lisa then goes out to get Javier after Kate tells her

all of the safety procedures because Lisa's running out of air and Kate's like, we need help now. And so she's like, stay close to the ground because Cirque's attack from below. Don't try to swim up because you will die. yeah And if you do swim up, here's how you go up in your little air thingy. And so she goes out. Um, and pretty much almost immediately gets attacked by a shark. Oh yeah. But she swims like maybe a minute and then a shark comes behind her. It's, it's kind of crazy that they never learned to not leave the cage. Yeah. but Kind of insane of them. Also, do these sharks not have literally anywhere else to be? Oh, probably not. They cleared their schedule. Like, are there no other fish or something in this ocean that they could go eat?

Yeah. they're they' Sharks don't even like the taste of humans. like Why are we where are we doing all of this? Right. Also, they're just sitting in the cage. They're not even doing anything. Yeah. Police go somewhere else. Even when they do get out the cage, it's just to swim up a little bit and then sit back down. Yeah. Leave those girls alone. But yeah, Lisa hides in a cage. Not Lisa. This is Kate. Kate and then hides in a cage. Um, and it's somehow able to outswim this shark. Yeah. Um, I literally wrote Lisa several times in here and this is all Kate. Um, Kate eventually finds the flashlight, but no Javier. And so she decides to go back to the cage, but she doesn't know where she is and until Javier pops up. But then he immediately, like a second later gets eaten by a shark. Yeah. It's so fast.

Is it worth all of the energy I'm expounding? No, but I'm gonna do it anyway. right Like humans weigh like what, max, like these people aren't aren't big, like max 180-something pounds. no most of it Most of it is just muscle and bone, so I'm not even gonna be getting that much meat. But I did it. wanted He wanted some appetizers. He wanted some appetizers.

The humans are the appetizers and then later he's going to go find a nice juicy seal. I don't know if they're seals in Mexico. so you're gonna be lying um Maybe a whale. Maybe. That'd be a good meal. Good way to talk off the night. Right, yeah. um And so yeah, Lisa takes the winch because he had the winch with him. Um, also he had some air. She somehow takes that and some flares and some flares. And so she, even though she couldn't find the cage earlier, she finds the cage this time and she hooks up the winch and goes back up to talk to captain Taylor, who tells her that he's bringing them up now. And when she gets back into the cage, they start getting pulled up and then the cable breaks.

So I don't understand why he was doing all of this. He needs to be sued. I know yeah i know that they might be in international waters. I'm not really sure. but I don't know how that works. If they're not in international waters, I'm suing him. Even if we are in international waters, I'm a ima see i find way i gonna see what my options are. Right. And so, because I didn't sign a waiver or anything. Nope. And so, yeah, they start falling to the bottom again. And this time, I'm trying to think, is it

I wrote Lisa, but is it Lisa? What, the leg? Yes. That's Kate. No, it's Lisa, right? You said Lisa's the blonde. Okay, so it's Kate. It's Kate. Kate's leg gets trapped. So Lisa goes up to call it Taylor and he tells her that he will send down some more air tanks, but to be careful as they can start experiencing nitrogen psychosis. And then he called the coast guard and they'll be there in less than an hour. Did he did he wait until the second cable broke? That's what I was going to say. the way It implies that he waited to call the the coast guard.

um Lisa then cries that she's seen Kate die and this somehow gives her some like a newfound determination and she creates like a pulley system they get to the tank to her Her brain like opens up and like that that meme where like you've got galaxy brain. Oh, yeah, the chimney neutron one. Oh my gosh, she's all like, I know how to do this. I know what to use to create this. And during this process, she ends up cutting herself. Yes. Which I'm like, girl, be careful.

right do you remember where you are right you remember the situation you're in correct um lisa then hears kate on the radio who tells her that she's hurt but she got away from the sharks and so lisa gets even more determined and is able to get her leg free and goes looking for kate which is insane how she's able to get her leg free super insane Also, how does Kate have air at this point? She had like 13 minutes of air left like 20 minutes like ago. right And she was just a attacked by sharks. And so she finds Kate and she's bleeding so much. like no Oh my gosh. There's um no way she would be alive. Yeah, no.

And so she then decides that she and Kate are going to swim up. And then Taylor is like, okay. He's like- Which is so dumb. He's like, okay, sure. Just like come up slowly. No. And do decompression stops. I'm just like- Right. What? No. First off, he didn't even tell them how to do decompression stops. He was just like, just stop. When I tell you, she's like, just stop when I tell you. Just stop when I tell you. I'm like, is that what a decompression stop is? Like, I don't have to blow up. It's a very interesting game of red light, green light. Right. I'm like, I don't have to like blow out bubbles or anything or. Right. I just swim and then stop. Right. Sure. All right. You're the captain. Yeah, I'll listen, I guess. And so they do that. They swim up. He tells them to stop. They stop. And when they open a flare.

They are literally surrounded by sharks. There's like three of them. It's so awful. And I'm just like, where did these sharks come from? Why are they just sitting there? Like, what's going on? Right. Did the sharks unionize? Like, what is it? Yeah. Did we stumble upon a meeting? What's like what's going on? Right. Did you just happen to swim into this area where these sharks were just sitting? Great. And it's not like sharks or pack animals. I mean, they kind of are kind of aren't like it's like a weird dynamic, but like, yeah why are they all just sitting there just chilling taking turns right and so they end up dropping another one of the players so they only have one left at this point and even though captain taylor told him that they had to sit there for five minutes he just randomly is like swim up go now go now yeah i'm like wait but they'll die right exactly like he's all like you know what it is he's like

Either they die to um the sharks or they're going to die by getting air in their brain. Yeah. One or the other. He's like, y'all pick. I'm going to tell you to swim. Right. And so they drop all their equipment. And like I said, again, they're able to outswim sharks. Yes. One of them is injured, by the way. One of them is injured so much that there was just so much blood around her. But they swim up to the top. and they make it to the surface. um They're dragged into the boat, but Lisa is grabbed by a shark who bites her leg, and after pretty much gouging that shark's eye out, it's Lisa. Lisa was already bit. No. We're gonna, one second. I'm pretty sure Mandy borers Lisa.

Yeah, 1520 minutes. is This is the part where she just cut her palm. Yeah. it's Yeah, she was trying to get her leg out and she cut her palm and she's been sitting there at the bottom of the ocean the whole time. The whole time. um As the Coast Guard approaches and they take her to the top. So if you haven't gathered by that, Kate is dead. Yeah, Kate is absolutely dead. When Lisa saw Kate get attacked by that shark, she died. She really got attacked by that shark. She really got attacked.

Of course. um two Second one, to replicate the organisms found underwater, finely chopped broccoli was added to the tank that they were in. And Mandy Morris said it was quite unpleasant after a few weeks and she compared it to filming inside of soup. Yeah. I just can't imagine the smell. I'm sure it smelled awful. Oh no, yeah, it probably did. Like, how, like, were they changing out this broccoli or were they just letting it sit there? They, I hope they were changing it out.

Um, one of the girls is like doing cocaine now. Like it's very crazy. Like the the jump from storylines from season one to season two are insane. Like, I don't know what's happening. Um, some copies of the movie were accidentally released under the original title of this movie, which was in the deep, like right at the same time that the movie was bought by a new company and scheduled for theatrical distribution. And so some stores were not notified in time and the DVD ended up for sale for about a day before being recalled. Oh my gosh.
