That's a long ago. Huh.
00:00:06
Speaker
All righty, here we go.

Introduction to 'Christ Crucified' and Jesus' Post-Death Activities

00:00:10
Speaker
Okay, now I gave a teaching on Tuesday night, and which you can see on WhatsApp and on YouTube, on Christ Crucified. so I'm not going to go through that again.
00:00:20
Speaker
But instead, going to look at what actually happened to Jesus after he drew at last breath.
00:00:31
Speaker
People have a very, i would say, narrow understanding of this, a very narrow focus. a It was a very productive day.
00:00:45
Speaker
He got up to a lot. He visited a lot of places. He did a lot of things. A lot of people, and a lot of spiritual creatures. So, first and foremost, why do you have to come?
00:01:00
Speaker
because all people have sinned. And those haven't reached the age of accountability where they could sin still have an inbuilt propensity to sin, still have that inbuilt proclivity towards unrighteousness.
00:01:20
Speaker
So he had to
00:01:26
Speaker
basically, when you sin,
00:01:29
Speaker
but I don't know if this is actually sharing anymore. Hang second.
00:01:34
Speaker
Can you guys see my screen? with it disappeared Yeah, yeah. and they Okay, perfect. We're gonna act a bit wonkily on me, so I'm quite sure if you still see us.

Sin, Death, and Salvation as a Gift

00:01:47
Speaker
Okay. So when we sin,
00:01:53
Speaker
it invites death.
00:01:57
Speaker
Destruction.
00:02:00
Speaker
Sickness. That wasn't in the world when it was just the man and the woman, Adam and Eve, living and holiness and righteousness. As soon as they sinned, these things ushered in. And we're told in Romans 6, 23, for the wages of sin is death. This the Amplified translation. I saw this last night and loved it.
00:02:23
Speaker
But God's free.
00:02:27
Speaker
Everyone say free. but Bountiful, remarkable, overwhelming gift of grace to believers is eternal life in Christ Jesus, our Lord.
00:02:44
Speaker
All people through wickedness, through disobedience, through sin, what is then sin? is literally missing the mark. It's like you're playing darts and you don't get to bull die.
00:02:58
Speaker
You're firing. an arrow with a bow and you don't hit the target at all. That's sin. Morally, ethically, whatever word you want to say in terms of holiness, you're not there.
00:03:12
Speaker
And that's all of us. We're all in the same equal wavelength here.
00:03:17
Speaker
So because people do evil, think evil, speak evil, allow evil, participate in evil, co-labor with evil,
00:03:30
Speaker
The human lifespan gets cut short. Sickness invades the earth. Depression, sorrow, anxiety, ultimately death.
00:03:43
Speaker
But God did not want people to have to pay the consequences that we ourselves had built up, because otherwise not one of us would stand a chance.
00:03:56
Speaker
People might say, well, at least I've never done that. Well, I'm better than my neighbors.
00:04:03
Speaker
Compared to God's holiness, no one measures up.
00:04:07
Speaker
So instead, he's decided to give us, like an Easter egg, a gift called everlasting life, it's eternal a life, life forevermore.
00:04:20
Speaker
And the chocolate and the wrapping paper was the death of Jesus. that Jesus, just like the wrapping paper where it's scrunched up, Jesus, just like the egg where it crushed and broken to bits and pieces, to put our lives back together again.
00:04:36
Speaker
He would be crushed so none of us would have to be. He would be destroyed by the will of God so none of us would have to be. He would be afflicted for the totality of all sin, the punishment built up for all human evil So none of us would have to be, but it's a gift.
00:05:00
Speaker
And it's like i say so often, you cannot lose your salvation because you cannot win your salvation. but It's a gift. You don't win a gift. You win an award, you win a prize.
00:05:12
Speaker
And you will get awards in heaven, that's the difference. Salvation is a gift. And if someone offers you a phone, you can accept a gift.

Jesus and the Two Thieves: Responses to His Kingdom

00:05:24
Speaker
you can reject a gift or you could accept a gift for a time and then return it to sender. Say, you know what? I don't want this. It's a gift.
00:05:37
Speaker
So as Jesus hung on the cross, there were two thieves either side of him. The one on his left berated him and said, you know, if if you're the Messiah, you're the chosen one, save us and save yourself.
00:05:54
Speaker
The irony is he was not saving himself so he could save us.
00:06:02
Speaker
There was also a thief on his right. And the thief on Jesus' right was saying, Jesus, please remember me when you come into your kingdom. Now, the kingdom of God in Jesus' day did not refer it to heaven.
00:06:18
Speaker
The people of Israel were awaiting a king who would bring in a physical kingdom that would last a thousand years. That would destroy the Roman Empire. That would bring peace on earth.
00:06:30
Speaker
That's the kingdom this thief is talking about. This thief is talking about a physical kingdom. So this criminal, this guy who's getting punished by the Roman Empire for actually having committed wrong, he looks at Jesus.
00:06:45
Speaker
And without Jesus preaching a sermon, without Jesus performing miracles, without Jesus evangelizing, he just knows. The light bulb goes on.
00:06:58
Speaker
And he's like, oh my gosh, this who's dying beside me is going to bring in that prophesied kingdom. He's looking at a guy who's dying and he just knows.
00:07:15
Speaker
He's going to come back to life And he is going to bring in a kingdom so amazing, so mighty, that even the darkest, most evil empire is going to come crumbling down and we're going to have world peace.
00:07:29
Speaker
That's what this guy's thinking.
00:07:33
Speaker
And Jesus said to him, I assure you and most solemnly say to you, That's an expression Jesus uses over 40 times in the Bible. I tell you the truth. I tell the absolute truth. Listen up and tell the truth.
00:07:49
Speaker
No one else speaks this in the Bible, just Jesus. And he says it dozens of times. I assure you and will solemnly say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.
00:08:02
Speaker
Now we've looked at paradise before and the realm of the dead, think maybe a month ago, more than a month and half an ago.
00:08:10
Speaker
Old Testament believers, and that includes people in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, did not die and go to heaven. No one died went to heaven. They went to a spirit realm called paradise.
00:08:24
Speaker
If they were righteous, if they were children, if they were babies, and if they were wicked, they went to what we now call hell. The realm of the dead has lots of different names, but for today, you're going to keep it simple.
00:08:38
Speaker
Paradise is the place you wanted to go. Hell was the place you didn't want to find yourself. But Jesus says today you and I are going to be in paradise together.
00:08:51
Speaker
The spirit dimension in the center of the earth. Think of in the natural it will be where the earth's core is. um But the spirit realm is more elastic.
00:09:03
Speaker
It's stretchier. It has places, but no space. It has moments, it has no time. So the spirit realm and the physical realm can overlap and paradise and hell are effectively in the earth's core.
00:09:21
Speaker
And then John 19, 28 to this, after this knowing that all things were now accomplished. There are a lot of Old Testament scriptures about the crucifixion, and it was like tick, tick, tick, tick. tick tick tick tick
00:09:39
Speaker
After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, said, I thirst.
00:09:50
Speaker
Because in the Old Testament, there was a prophecy that he would be fed, or i'll given, and sour wine vinegar.
00:10:01
Speaker
To humiliate him. Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there. Who put it there? No idea, but there it was. And they filled a

The Meaning of 'It is Finished' and Jesus' Actions in the Afterlife

00:10:12
Speaker
sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it in into his mouth.
00:10:19
Speaker
So when Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, it is finished. And bowing his head, he gave up his spirit and he died.
00:10:34
Speaker
It is finished with the last three words he spoke on that cross.
00:10:42
Speaker
What does it is finished mean? Sometimes people just think it means his suffering. He'd been having a bad day, you know. Having a bad day was over. It was done.
00:10:54
Speaker
But actually, it is so, so much richer than that. It is finished means it's completed. It's over.
00:11:05
Speaker
It is finished means it is brought to a close.
00:11:11
Speaker
The Old Testament was written in Greek. It is finished means the command is fulfilled. God had told Jesus to do this before Jesus came to the earth.
00:11:26
Speaker
It is finished in the Greek translates as then you have three words. It's finished. They have like a sentence. The necessary process is finished.
00:11:39
Speaker
With the results rolling over to the next level or phase of consummation. So the One person who had to live perfectly the way Adam and Eve chose not to is finished.
00:11:56
Speaker
God punishing all human evil is finished. And now the world is ready for the next thing, for the best thing, for the results, for the consequences.
00:12:11
Speaker
And also it means the debt has been paid or discharged. Because again, Think of the verse we started with, Romans 6, 23.
00:12:22
Speaker
For the wages of sin is death. It's like you did something wrong, so you have to pay a fee. And the fee is debt. The debt has been paid or discharged.
00:12:35
Speaker
It's a legal term. It's a court term. It means a court, usually in the case of bankruptcy or creditor, has officially released you from the legal obligation to repay it.
00:12:51
Speaker
Isn't that amazing? All people instinctively, inherently, innately should pay for their sin. We're all guilty in the courts of heaven.
00:13:04
Speaker
Inherently. You might say, oh, but I've only done something small, but I've done 10 good things. A court doesn't save you for the 10 good things you did, they punish you for the one bad thing you did.
00:13:18
Speaker
But Jesus has paid it all and he's waived the payment and said, okay, once and for all time, done, no more. No more punishments from me, no more wrath from me, no more judgment from me, no more curses.
00:13:36
Speaker
And here's a wonderful miracle about the crucifixion that people speak about so infrequently and I don't get it. Matthew 27, 51 to 52. And at once, the veil of the Holy of Holies of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.
00:13:56
Speaker
In the temple of God, the high priest would enter the Holy of Holies. No one else could get in. And he would make intercession for the people. he would seek God's faith.
00:14:08
Speaker
But when Jesus died... That curtain was torn in two. That division that was torn in two. That separation between God and man was torn in two.
00:14:19
Speaker
Jesus is the high priest of heaven and he made a way for all people to come straight before the throne of grace to find help in our time of need. The earth shook and the rocks were split apart. That's called an earthquake.
00:14:35
Speaker
And the tombs were opened. Jesus is life and resurrection. And suddenly all across Jerusalem, that's happening in Jerusalem,
00:14:50
Speaker
tombs are opening up all over the place, all around the city.
00:14:56
Speaker
We're going to back to that with at the end.
00:15:00
Speaker
So today, we're looking at what happened next.
00:15:06
Speaker
There are four locations that Jesus visited in those three days which he died. One of them is the world of heaven, which is up in the sky, the Father's house, the world he lives in.
00:15:22
Speaker
And then where the spirit realm oversex or intersects with the earth, you have paradise, you have hell, and you have Tartarus.
00:15:36
Speaker
Paradise was where the righteous dead went, those who are right but calmed. Hell is where the wicked humans went. And Tartarus, we've looked at Tartarus a couple times over the last few months.
00:15:52
Speaker
This is where the demons who got women pregnant in the days of Noah have been locked up. where they await final judgment. Now we are told that in the apocalypse they will get out and they will torture and slay billions of humans um at that time.
00:16:11
Speaker
um But we also have groups on the Earth today like CERN, C-E-R-N, CERN in Switzerland, who've created the Hadron Collider portal machine. They're actually trying to open Tartarus. They're trying to help those demons get out.
00:16:26
Speaker
We looked CERN a couple times recently as well. So paradise is a spirit dimension in the lower realm of the earth. They intersect. Hell is below that.
00:16:40
Speaker
Tartarus is the lowest part of hell. Tartarus is specifically a prison world, a dungeon for those demons from Noah's day. It's also called the abyss or the bottomless pit.
00:16:55
Speaker
Jesus, in those three days, would visit all four places.
00:17:04
Speaker
The first one he went to was paradise. And we know that because he says, that the thief on his right, I assure you, and most I'm going to say to you, so basically he's like, I'm not lying. I'm not kidding. I'm not having a laugh.
00:17:19
Speaker
I'm not taking the mick. This is happening. Today you'll be with me in paradise. So when Jesus died and that thief died, their spirit and their soul descended into paradise.
00:17:35
Speaker
Paradise was a beautiful place. It was a place of fun, of laughter, of food, of fellowship, of happiness, of togetherness. I'm sure it was as close to heaven the world.
00:17:52
Speaker
as they could possibly have imagined. um I imagine it had beautiful... We know it had a river, because we we're told in Luke that there's water flowing through us um I'm sure it is more beautiful than anywhere you would see on planet Earth.
00:18:11
Speaker
And the Spirit of God would be there. Maybe not God of the Father in in a and a in a physical sense, or metaphysical sense. But the energy, the life-giving energy was still buzzing all about the place. They would have had so much fun. Adam and Eve were there.
00:18:27
Speaker
David was there. Joseph and the amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Jesus' Stepfather Joseph. Ruth, Deborah, all the heroes and heroines of the Old Testament.
00:18:42
Speaker
Early Mark, Luke, John, they're all there.
00:18:47
Speaker
And by his faith on the cross, That thief on Jesus' right also descended there. And 1 Peter 4, tells us, but they will have to give an account to him who is ready to judge. And Jesus is the judge of the living of the dead.
00:19:06
Speaker
And by sentence on the living and the dead. For this is why the good news of salvation was preached, even those were dead. that though they were judged in the flesh as men are, they may live in the spirit according to the will and purpose of God.
00:19:21
Speaker
So when Jesus went down to paradise, I'm sure when his stepfather Joseph saw him, they just had the most beautiful reunion. I'm sure there were tears of joy. I'm sure Adam and Eve were getting high fives. Everyone would have been crowding around him, wanting to have a moment with Jesus.
00:19:38
Speaker
But he actually preached to them about himself. He introduced himself, because many of them had never seen him. Or they'd seen him in a dream or a vision, but they hadn't seen him as he appeared on the earth.
00:19:50
Speaker
um And he preached them said, right, listen, this is the good news. This is who I am This is what I came to do. This is what I'm all about. So on the day of judgment of the far future, we're all on the same wavelength.
00:20:04
Speaker
And they'll know, okay he is the judge, and this is how he's judging us. um Day of Judgment for Believers will just be about awards, rewards, extra gifts. and But he wanted everyone on on an equal wavelength.
00:20:23
Speaker
So first, he went to paradise. I'm sure that the thief on his right was just the happiest man in all of paradise. But he got to be there with Jesus in the end. And at the last second, laughminute.com, he got in.
00:20:40
Speaker
I'm sure that they just had the most phenomenal time. And it's ironic even saying that, because there is no time in the spirit realm. I'm sure it just felt like a moment that they never wanted to see end.
00:20:54
Speaker
But eventually it did. Because he had other places to visit.
00:21:00
Speaker
Where? Then.

Jesus' Triumph Over Hell and Demonic Forces

00:21:05
Speaker
Jesus would then descend into the dark realm of the dead, into the bowels of hell.
00:21:19
Speaker
I'm sure that Satan and the demons there were absolutely delighted to see him in hell, probably thinking, ha, we've got him. He got kicked out of paradise. He's one of us now. We can torture him.
00:21:31
Speaker
But I am convinced that not one of them dared go near him. Some Christians have this mad idea that Jesus was in hell being further tortured and further people persecuted and his eyes were getting popped out because snakes were coming out of them and they pulling at his fingernails and his toenails and his toenails. Nonsense. Absolute nonsense.
00:21:54
Speaker
He was still Jesus. I'm sure that they were arrogant enough to think, ha ha, we've destroyed the son of God. will be our slave. I genuinely cannot imagine one of them going near him.
00:22:07
Speaker
He was probably in a room by himself or a corner by himself. I do not think they would have dared step foot in a 10 meter radius.
00:22:19
Speaker
But there was great excitement in hell. There great buzz among the demons. And even the powers, authority. Principalities, demonic kings and queens and despots, spirits of wickedness in high places, descended from hell. They were in their thrones above every city, every town, every country, every nation, every continent.
00:22:44
Speaker
They came down into hell just to see, to mock, to scorn. I'm sure they had the time of their life watching him being persecuted on the cross, and now was in hell, it would have been even better.
00:22:59
Speaker
But I still don't think they were brave enough to go near him. But Colossians 2.15 tells us this. In this way, Jesus disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities, even the demonic kings and queens who run the nations, who wrath the nations,
00:23:21
Speaker
Think of how every country seems to have certain strongholds that just everybody has. Whether it's drunkenness, depression, whether it's religion, fatherlessness, a culture of rape and witchcraft, whatever it is.
00:23:40
Speaker
Every country seems to have a few strongholds that just about everybody has. These are the demons, the demonic kings who are over that, who have people grasped in shame. But it says, in this way, Jesus defarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities.
00:23:56
Speaker
He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross. What does disarmed mean? It means he renounced them.
00:24:08
Speaker
He despoiled them. All the things they'd stolen. All the things that thought that that they thought they looked so amazed and maybe they'd put on... gold and gems and precious stones and massive crowns.
00:24:23
Speaker
It means he stripped them of their advantage and their weapons. Because arms means weapons. He took their weapons off them. He paraded them in repeat, in a public spectacle, in the same way that the triumphant general of the Roman army triumph would display captives. This is all what disarm means in the Greek.
00:24:47
Speaker
So when a Roman general would defeat his enemies, you see the picture there, he would chain them up, take them for a walk, and everyone would be like, oh, you know, you thought you were so amazing. Oh, you know, you've been defeated. Oh, you're you're useless. ah That's what happened here.
00:25:03
Speaker
You can just imagine Jesus in hell and the devil there looking at him, I'm sure. The power principalities, authorities are there. Other demons are there. And Jesus just gets this crooked smile on his face.
00:25:16
Speaker
And however he did it, I like to think he went and just shot them all with a light blast. Who knows? And he put a chain on the lot of them. The ones who are in rulership over the nation.
00:25:30
Speaker
And he went up and just began flying through the sky with all these ones on chains, making an absolute living mockery of them.
00:25:44
Speaker
And Ephesians 4.8 quotes Psalm 68.18. This is why Psalm 68.18 says, When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive and gave gifts to his people.
00:26:04
Speaker
Some translations say he led many captive. He led captivity captive is the closer translation to the Greek.
00:26:12
Speaker
This evokes the spectacle of an ancient victory procession. Again, it's the same idea as the Romans doing it. Conquering kings paraded their foes in chains, displaying absolute mastery.
00:26:28
Speaker
Christ has routed every hostile power, sin, death, and demonic forces who rule in high places as kings and queens, as despots over the nations, by his cross and resurrection.
00:26:42
Speaker
And the captives in his train are the vanquished enemies of God, the ones who've put the nations in bondage. The one the angels became demons during the Tower of Babel, during Nimrod's one world empire on the earth, in the 2000th year of the earth.
00:27:00
Speaker
Jesus put them in chains. This an image that I generated yesterday, actually. And and made and a holy mockery of them. So when you are being oppressed by the enemy,
00:27:13
Speaker
when you're being gangstaught, when the enemy comes for your health, comes for your peace, comes for your family. I want you to remember this, I want you to picture this. The ones who rule on high and in the second heaven, in outer space, the one NASA tell you are the aliens, the UFOs.
00:27:34
Speaker
They're not unidentified flying objects. The Bible tells us they're very identified and we know what their flying object is. They are demons sitting on thrones, sitting on platforms.
00:27:46
Speaker
And even those ones, Jesus put chains around and made them kneel, tugged them on their chain. I'm sure he did a victory lap all across the sky, all across the nations, and the heavenly host were laughing their socks off.
00:28:04
Speaker
How are they still on their thrones today? Because people still chose to be complicit to them. And what you choose to give in to and to surrender to will rule over you.
00:28:17
Speaker
But it was a glorious day.
00:28:23
Speaker
In Revelation 1, 17 to 18, this is Jesus speaking about himself. Again, this is the Amplified Translation. I am the first and the last, the absolute deity, the Son of God.
00:28:40
Speaker
and the ever-living one, living in and beyond all time and space. I died. But see, I'm alive forevermore.
00:28:52
Speaker
And I have the keys of absolute control and victory over death and of Hades. Hades means the realm of the dead. It includes paradise and hell.
00:29:06
Speaker
This is not stated clearly in the Bible, but a lot of people interpret it this way, that Satan had the keys to hell.
00:29:16
Speaker
And in Jesus,
00:29:20
Speaker
embarrassment of the powers and principalities and authorities of the demonic world took those keys back from the devil. Again, it's not stated overtly in the Bible. That's how a lot of people read it.
00:29:34
Speaker
He took those keys back from Satan himself and now has them in his possession. So even if someone one is on their deathbed and they're unconscious and you pray, o God, speak to them in a dream.
00:29:53
Speaker
Give them a dream right now Reveal yourself that they would know you, that they would receive you, that they would come alive on the inside. And I've seen this happen. I've seen Jesus step in the room, stand over them. And maybe they were cancer ridden and they could only keep their eyes open for a couple of seconds at a time when they woke.
00:30:14
Speaker
He said, hey, my name is Jesus. I died for you. I love you to be. Will you choose me now?
00:30:23
Speaker
I've prayed for people between their second last breath and their last breath. I said, oh, Jesus. Jesus, they're unconscious. They're not going wake up.
00:30:36
Speaker
But they're spirit man and spirit woman. In this case, it was a woman. Knows where it's going. Do something. And Jesus spoke to that person between the second last breath and the last breath.
00:30:54
Speaker
Open up their hearts. Open up their minds and said, hey, I'm Jesus. You don't have a lot of time left. Yay or nay, it's a yes or it's a no. And you don't wanna say no, but saying yes, it's better than you could possibly imagine.
00:31:09
Speaker
That's what having these keys does. There are testimonies of people who have already begun descending to hell and their family pray, their family cry out and say, oh God, before they land there, because it's a long way down and a scary way down.
00:31:30
Speaker
save them. And they will report that as they were descending into hell, Jesus came down and said, Yoohoo, your mother's a praying woman. Obviously, this is happening.
00:31:42
Speaker
Do you want to continue going down this way or do you want to go up? That's what having those keys does. Gives them power over death and the grave.
00:31:57
Speaker
But after this, He paid other demons a visit.
00:32:04
Speaker
He continued on his way down, and he descended into Tartarus, the abyss, the bottom of the pit.
00:32:14
Speaker
These were angels whose job it was to look after humans, protect humans, watch humans, minister to humans, serve humans, but instead,
00:32:29
Speaker
Like Adam on that mountain looking at the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and eating of its fruits. Like David, which we're going see in a couple of weeks time. And that window looking down on Bathsheba and doing everything he did with her. Hello.
00:32:50
Speaker
These angels were in an upper place. The sky. And they looked at human women and they said, ooh la la. So they corporealized, they took on physical form, which angels can do.
00:33:07
Speaker
And they slept with those women. And those women gave birth to the Nephilim, giants, hybrids, who were so wicked and so violent that every single thought and intention they had was violence. This is World War Zero.
00:33:23
Speaker
They brought about world war and only eight people remained righteous.
00:33:33
Speaker
Noah, his wife, his three sons, and they're their wives. But even his wives had Nephilim DNA, but that's that's a story for another day.
00:33:44
Speaker
But Jesus descended into Tartarus, down to these demons. You might ask yourself, why? What was there possibly to be gained by Jesus doing this?
00:33:59
Speaker
Well, 1 Peter chapter 3, 19 to 20 says, after being made alive in the spirit, he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirit.
00:34:13
Speaker
And we're not talking about humans here, we're talking demons. To those who were disobedient long ago, when God waited patiently in the days of Noah, while the ark was being built,
00:34:26
Speaker
In it, only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water.
00:34:32
Speaker
I used to read this and go, God, what proclamation? What did he say? Why don't you just tell us? Well, last night, I looked up in the Greek. And actually, in the Greek translation, it's crystal clear what do he said.
00:34:47
Speaker
To make a proclamation in Greek means he... going to type out. means he openly heralded divine truth concerning the, oh my goodness, my spelling went to the dogs last night. You can tell it was midnight and made this. was wrecked. Okay, two mistakes on one side. He openly heralded divine truth concerning the gospel and things pertaining to it.
00:35:18
Speaker
Made proclamation doesn't just mean he spoke or raised his voice. In the Greek, it specifically means he shared with them the gospel and things pertaining to it. Probably, you know, the fact that these were supernatural beings who got women pregnant and created human-demon hybrids.
00:35:39
Speaker
He said, well, actually, guys, I am the supernatural being who created you back when were angels. Yeah, hello, I'm Jesus. And there was only ever supposed to be one woman who got pregnant with a supernatural being. And she was my mother, Mary.
00:35:56
Speaker
She was amazing. um And you guys brought about a world war. You made the world just so violent, so wicked. You almost destroyed all human life.
00:36:07
Speaker
But actually, I've come to say this. You are a counterfeit, an inversion, a perversion of why my father sent me.
00:36:19
Speaker
Your actions almost wiped out all of humanity, the human genome.
00:36:26
Speaker
But now through me, I'm bringing people back to life, not just biologically, but in their spirit. And then I like to think he went, nah, nah, nah, but maybe he did, maybe he didn't.
00:36:44
Speaker
And what happened after that?
00:36:48
Speaker
He shot back up to paradise and took them to heaven. In Hebrews chapter 11, we're told about the heroes of faith. The amazing men and women of God in the Old Testament whose faith was just phenomenal. Abraham and Isaac.
00:37:07
Speaker
Moses, who we will be looking at on Wednesday in discipleship. Moses was a phenomenal guy. um Samson. Yes, he made some very stupid mistakes with his libido, but if you were in a tight spot, if the enemy was coming, charge with weapons, you wanted him on your side. and The Bible's Hercules.
00:37:30
Speaker
Barak and Deborah.
00:37:33
Speaker
Gideon, Joshua. Joshua generation, our namesake.
00:37:40
Speaker
And then Hebrews 12 tells us, so chapter 11 is all the hero heroes of faith are in heaven. Hebrews 12 says we're surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses.
00:37:52
Speaker
So those heroes are in heaven now. They're no longer in paradise.
00:37:58
Speaker
So after going to paradise where Jesus was like, hello,

The Power of Resurrection and Its Impact on Believers

00:38:03
Speaker
I'm God. So I am And then he went to hell where he embarrassed the upper level demons and made a big parade of them.
00:38:14
Speaker
Then he went down to Tartarus. To the demons who were responsible for an inversion and perversion of his own mission.
00:38:26
Speaker
And went back up to Paradise again and said, alright guys. We're going up. You're not staying here. Paradise was ah it was a beautiful place, but it was a waiting room. It was temporary.
00:38:41
Speaker
Now the place still exists. He didn't destroy it's still there, but it's empty. And he said, we're going up. And he took them up into the world of heaven. Now only two humans were already in heaven, the two witnesses of the book of Revelation. That's Enoch, who was raptured just before, well, just as the Nephilim began being popular in the earth.
00:39:05
Speaker
And also Elijah, who was raptured to heaven in chariot of fire. They're the only two people who had been in heaven. They will come back in the end times.
00:39:15
Speaker
um Every other righteous man and woman and child was in paradise. And Jesus took them up into heaven. So they could live in the Father's house, which is not a building, it's a world.
00:39:30
Speaker
So now when you go up into heaven, you'll get to meet all these amazing men and women.
00:39:36
Speaker
However, not everybody in paradise was taken up into heaven straight away. For some of them, they were taken back to the earth. For those who were buried in Jerusalem, they were resurrected on the same day as Jesus.
00:39:54
Speaker
Matthew 27, 51 to moment when Jesus
00:39:58
Speaker
at that moment when jesus died The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split, an earthquake, and the tombs in Jerusalem broke open.
00:40:17
Speaker
The bodies of many holy people right with God, reconciled to God in Jerusalem. So we're talking to King David and the likes. Who had died were raised to life.
00:40:32
Speaker
If they had decomposed, their skin was made back to what it should have been. If they had turned to ash and dust, he would have made remade their body. Sinew, skeleton, eyes, muscles, hair.
00:40:47
Speaker
It's no problem for Jesus. The first man was made from the dust. He was very good at making people from dust.
00:40:54
Speaker
They came out of the tombs after Jesus' resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people.
00:41:03
Speaker
So those who are in paradise were taken up to heaven.
00:41:12
Speaker
The demons, the upper level demons, he made a holy show of them, embarrassed them, paraded them in their defeat. That's why we say we have a defeated enemy. They're under defeat of the righteous.
00:41:26
Speaker
In Tartarus,
00:41:29
Speaker
He went and spoke to the demons from Noah's day. They were still chained up there. They're trying to get out. going to happen. Not this side of the apocalypse. They went back up to paradise and took those in the world of heaven, but to those who were buried in Jerusalem.
00:41:44
Speaker
He said, lads, ladies, you're coming back with me. And then their tombs were opened as soon as he died. When he came out of his grave, they came out as well.
00:41:59
Speaker
Did the people of Israel believe them if someone said, hi I'm King David. I died a thousand years ago. I don't know how i believed they were.
00:42:11
Speaker
But they were running around with the 12 apostles telling everyone, is God. Jesus is amazing. Jesus of the king. He's fabulous. He's the creator.
00:42:22
Speaker
He's healer. He's restorer. He's amazing. Brilliant. He's offering a gift called life. It's a gift, it's free. You want them.
00:42:34
Speaker
And they would have become, I'm sure, the most phenomenal evangelists this world has ever seen. Because they'd already been living for years or centuries or millennia in paradise, which is as close to heaven as any dead person had gotten at that stage.
00:42:58
Speaker
It's super miracle. People normally don't talk about that when they talk about the resurrection. They just forget that that happened.
00:43:08
Speaker
But you know what? It just blows my mind more and more and more anytime that I just think, I'm sure I know it all. Jesus has this funny way of just saying, well, let's have another look at this.
00:43:19
Speaker
Well, have you considered this in the last while? Because he is life and resurrection. He was never going to stay dead because resurrection is who he is. Life is who he is.
00:43:32
Speaker
If Jesus had stayed dead, but but the whole world would have been annexed into obliteration. Because he is the one who creates it at all.
00:43:46
Speaker
Eventually he will destroy and recreate it all. But right now he sustains it all.
00:43:55
Speaker
And that resurrection power that he exhibited, not just for himself, but for the righteous dead in Jerusalem, it still is available to us, it's in us, that resurrection power.
00:44:09
Speaker
So we're not going to, i know we always have time for prayer. We're not gonna go through prayer like we usually do. Instead, I told everyone to bring your communion elements ready today.
00:44:24
Speaker
your bread or your cracker or your biscuit or your rice cake or your Easter egg, given the day that it is to represent the body of Jesus broken for us, to put yours back together again. Even there, Kitty, I see in the chat box the arthritis in the shoulder, the chest infection, um the fungal infection.
00:44:46
Speaker
As we take communion, want you to eat that bread knowing that you know that you know that his resurrection power is as available for you as it was for Kate a couple days ago.
00:44:59
Speaker
As available for you as it was the righteous dead in Jerusalem. As available to you as it was for Jesus himself on that glorious day.
00:45:12
Speaker
For those you who are gang stalked by the enemy, you have human and demonic enemies coming out of your ears. I want you to eat this bread today, this cracker, rice cake, whatever you have, Easter Thinking that this is the Jesus who puts the upper level demons who give the ones after you the instructions.
00:45:36
Speaker
He put them in chains and he dragged them through the sky, making a mockery of them, making a show of them, humiliating them, making them feel so small and so defeated And so gross and disgusting, which is what they are.
00:45:56
Speaker
The ones who are coming after you are servants of the ones Jesus humiliated and chained.
00:46:06
Speaker
So they're tiny. They're stupid. They're insignificant. They are more beatable than you could possibly imagine. And as you eat of the communion today, that is what I want you to have in mind.
00:46:21
Speaker
that it is already a defeated enemy. You're not fighting for victory. You're fighting from victory.
00:46:31
Speaker
If the enemy is talking to you about your past, oh, you're responsible for that. Oh, you said that and then that couple broke up.
00:46:43
Speaker
Oh, you did something there and look what happened, huh? Remember you didn't and that person got hurt? Scumbag. I want to eat of this bread thinking Jesus had crowns of thorns put in his head as a punishment for every wicked thought you've ever conceived of.
00:47:07
Speaker
He was given sour wine to drink for every wicked word you've ever spoken. Stabbed through the side and the heart with a spear for every wicked, carnal, fleshly, selfish, miserly, bitter, vengeful thought intention you've ever given to.
00:47:31
Speaker
Nailed in his hands and his feet for every wicked thing you've ever put your hand to. For every wicked place you've ever gone.
00:47:43
Speaker
His back whiplashed two strips and ribbons. for every wicked thing you've ever chosen to carry, every burden you've carried that was not yours, that was not in your lane.
00:48:00
Speaker
As you take this communion bread today, you remember it's already been done. It's already been finished. It's already been dealt with.
00:48:11
Speaker
And as you drink of a cup,
00:48:16
Speaker
Know that the blood of Jesus speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.
00:48:23
Speaker
Abel was a good shepherd. The son of Adam and Eve, a righteous man. he was murdered by religion. Cain, his brother, wanted to be righteous on his own terms because what he had done, what he had grown, what he had planted, yada, yada, yada, me, me, me, me. me
00:48:45
Speaker
So he murdered the righteous man. The same way the Pharisees were religious, so they organized Jesus' execution. The execution of the real good shepherd.
00:48:59
Speaker
And as Abel lay dying, he cried out to God, avenge me. God, do you see what's happening? Avenge me.
00:49:08
Speaker
The Bible says in Hebrew he was butchered and slaughtered in a premeditated attack by his brother Cain.
00:49:17
Speaker
Barry sometimes annoys me. i would never once consider that. was unnatural thing. But that's what the first murder was.
00:49:28
Speaker
brother murdered his brother. And Jesus was murdered by his own people, his own nation.
00:49:38
Speaker
But as Abel cried out, God, avenge me. Do you see what's happening? Punish Cain. Don't let him get away with this. The blood of Jesus speaks a different word. The blood of Jesus speaks a better word.
00:49:52
Speaker
The blood of Jesus says, Father, forgive them. They don't know what they're doing.
00:50:00
Speaker
What does forgive mean? It means to pay you off your debts. The wage of sin death. death
00:50:09
Speaker
And the blood of Jesus says, wipe it away. Put on the tip X on that legal document. In fact, scrap up that legal document. Write another one.
00:50:21
Speaker
Don't have any reference whatsoever to the D-E-B-T debt that they've built up.
00:50:32
Speaker
I'm giving them a clean slate. A fresh start.
00:50:39
Speaker
So as we worship to glorious day again, and I stopped the recording so don't get this video taken down for copyright infringement.
00:50:53
Speaker
I want each of you to take responsibility for your healing.
00:51:00
Speaker
To take ownership of your breakthrough.

Communion as Remembrance of Jesus' Victory

00:51:06
Speaker
to pick up your sword in your fight.
00:51:11
Speaker
It's beautiful when we take time to pray together, but your prayer for yourself is just as important and powerful as anyone else praying for you.
00:51:22
Speaker
And you do this with Jesus. You do this with your communion element. We're not gonna lockstep communion today. You eat when you're ready to eat. You drink when you're ready to drink.
00:51:37
Speaker
Meditate on the lines of the song. You were an orphan, nay, or a citizen of heaven.
00:51:46
Speaker
You were afflicted with sickness or disease or pain. Jesus is your healing. His resurrection power lives in you, and we're calling it to life. We're calling it to being, to the forefront.
00:52:07
Speaker
Do it quiet before the Lord now.
00:52:12
Speaker
Let the worship music soak over you. Let your heart rejoice and be glad. You take these communion elements when you're ready.
00:52:23
Speaker
Not out of religion or tradition, not because it's Sunday, because it's Resurrection Sunday.
00:52:30
Speaker
Do it as an act of faith. to appropriate what Jesus died and came back to give you. To see his will done in your life.
00:52:44
Speaker
To see what he has for you, given to you, palms facing upwards, up to heaven. Imagine Easter eggs falling on your hands, Easter eggs from heaven.
00:52:57
Speaker
And they're your healing, they're your breakthrough.
00:53:02
Speaker
They're the strategies, the solutions, the gifts.
00:53:08
Speaker
And you take your quiet moment with the Lord.
00:53:12
Speaker
And you take those community elements in faith knowing that you will see his goodness in the land of the living. Because he is absolutely good.
