Games Over Plastic: Weekly Format

00:00:39
Speaker
Hello, welcome to Games Over Plastic episode 54. That's right. Oh, next week? We're already on to the next episode. I guess we could announce it here if since we're ah since we're here, I guess. We've decided that GOP needs to start going weekly, so you should be seeing more of us. if and Obviously, if anything comes up and we're not able to

Community Support and Return to Recording

00:01:01
Speaker
record, that's... you know the exception but we're planning on going weekly from now on to so you guys can see more of our pretty faces but before uh i guess i into more of those details i have to introduce my co-host of this week sean mason how are you doing brother i'm doing all right you know hanging in there i you know
00:01:21
Speaker
Obviously, the big elephant in the room. I do want to say, I just want to say thank you to everyone who reached out to me. A lot of people reached out. Obviously, I didn't really get back to like almost anyone. I didn't really respond. I had not really been going on Discord. Today it was the first day I kind of actually went on Discord and like,
00:01:37
Speaker
a long time um just you know i want to say thanks to everyone who's reached out sending kind wishes i want to say thanks to uh last stand media they had some very kind words for me um you know colin reached out to me personally uh maddie brad dustin cog micah walk everyone basically kind of reached out to me and then members of the community reached out to me too and um Some people I've never even talked to reached out to me and I'm like, wow, like this is awesome. But it really means a lot to me.
00:02:10
Speaker
You know, it's a tough time for my family right now, but, you know, we're going through it and I figured, you know, recording would probably, you know, help keep my mind up. It will be nice, provide a nice little distraction for me. And I want to really talk about the state of play because I did sit down and watch it with my dad yesterday and it brought it was probably the first time I saw him smile and like all week.
00:02:30
Speaker
um One of the first times i smiled all week too. So it was awesome. um Yeah. So yeah. Happy to be here. Yeah, I'm happy we're able to do this because, yeah, its this show, I mean, obviously we'll get into it but this was a fantastic show, so I'm very excited to talk about these games. like There's very few games in this that I was really like, yeah,

Weekly Format: Audience Engagement

00:02:52
Speaker
definitely not for me. but um So yeah, obviously Games Over Plastic and Agnostic Gamers podcast is now a weekly podcast where you can join us and Midnight, who's unfortunately unable to join us again this week, he's
00:03:03
Speaker
Also going through stuff. So we're letting him and he said he didn't have too much to say about these games. I think he said his favorite was for loop. That's the only game he wants to play from this. No, I'm kidding. um But so he's unable to join us. And Locke, we asked if you want to join, but he's unfortunately busy as well. But he's doing stuff that actually makes him money. I'm like this podcast, which makes no one money.
00:03:24
Speaker
So it's just going be me and Sean talking about this awesome show. ah so yeah, join us weekly. first like We want to play more games and stuff like that. I think it's going a lot more fun. The way we're revamping the show. i think I think this show gets better every week, if I'm being completely honest. i I think the quality of our show is i think notches above. I think it's worse every week, you know? It's worse every week. Yeah, yeah that's true. true which It's just slowly declining. Our viewership shows it. and I'm kidding. But um yeah, no, I think it's going to be great.
00:03:57
Speaker
I think we have ah some great ideas coming down the line. I think the audience is going be happy.

Off Weeks and New Enthusiasm

00:04:01
Speaker
Yeah. And hopefully we can grow. So please tell your friends about it. Obviously, please like and subscribe if you can. i don't know why you wouldn't be able to. But ah yeah, we we enjoy doing the show and we're happy to to start doing it more frequently because off weeks always do feel weird where it's like, i don't anything to do this Saturday morning. I mean, I go the gym. Especially for me in the summer, like when it's like an off week, I'm just like this Saturday is so weird for me.
00:04:24
Speaker
Yeah. No, you're good. What are you saying?
00:04:31
Speaker
No, was going to say, it's like the Saturdays in the summer when we don't record. I'm just like, this is just another regular day of the week for me, I guess. No no work, just chilling. But I really enjoy it. Yeah, and as everyone knows, I've ah gotten really into the video editing. So i just I really like making these shows look better every week. And so I'm happy people enjoy the show. but but yeah i hyped That's why I'm hyped for this state of play

State of Play: Game Highlights

00:04:55
Speaker
edit. it It's going to awesome.
00:04:56
Speaker
Yeah, it's I got to figure out how to start it. I made the three person boxes, so I'm going to have edit it to be just us, but it's okay. It's it's an actually an easier edit because with the video and stuff, it's much easier to edit just like a video into a thing rather than make all the graphics. So it'll actually probably be an easier edit, but it'll it'll look good for everyone else watching. but um So, yeah, let's just hop right into this state of play. First, we'll just go with our overall feelings of it. ah Obviously, like you said, you watched it yesterday.
00:05:28
Speaker
ah What do you think of it? thought it was absolutely fantastic. One of the best state of plays that I think they've ever delivered. And I've been pretty high on a lot of the state of place, but this is a banger after banger. You know, it starts out really strong, ends really strong. Middle was strong. I mean, you know, there's always going a couple games in there. Like, yeah, this isn't for me, but clearly it's it's going to be there for someone. But I think universally, um a lot of these games were for most people. And like they had so many different genres of games here and so many different things people are asking for. So many different things people didn't know they wanted and know they were asking for. So, yeah, I am like really excited. And we had some surprises. So, yeah, it was it was downright awesome.
00:06:14
Speaker
Yeah, I completely agree. I mean, yeah, like you said, every show is always going to have those few games where I'm like, this really isn't for me. But this one, it had so many good ones that when it did show like those you know, in frequent once where i was like, eh, not for me. i was fine. Like, we'll get to it when we get to it. But there's only really one game, i think, that I saw that I was like, this doesn't look good.
00:06:35
Speaker
like other Like, usually it's, usually there's a bunch of games that make me say, like, this doesn't look good. But this time it was more of games that make me think, like, this isn't for me. But there is one game that I don't think looks good and we'll get to it.

Kenna: Scars of Kasmora

00:06:47
Speaker
But yeah Overall, I think every game was at least something I'm excited to play, I have interest in or it's just like, it looks good, but not my genre. so yeah Overall, an amazing show. As we've said before, I think they'll never surpass that 2016 show where they showed like Resident Evil, God of War, Spider-Man. like It was one of the greatest shows ever. So I don't think it'll ever really top that, but I think this is the best one since then. And I'm usually a little more down. I'm judgmental when it comes to state of plays and showcases, and especially Nintendo directs. I think most of them are boring. I know you like them more than me, but usually I'm not huge on them, but this one, yeah, it had me start to finish which also made me think like we've had three great showcases in a row of the Keelys at the end of last year, this Xbox dev direct and this, like we've been eating well in 2026. It looks like a very good gaming year. so And that's going to continue with the Pokemon direct in about two weeks. Right. I would oh i really, I ran a leaf green.
00:07:49
Speaker
dude if that's true i'll be very excited but i'll be happy it's true because then that would mean i would love for them to just keep going and adding all like those generation three four and five games like that would be peak yeah because i would love to get back to those ones because as i've said i've been very critical of modern pokemon so if we can get those old school ones again and games of that quality back i'd be very happy but I remember that one year.
00:08:17
Speaker
i don't know if it was a year or two ago. It was last year. It was last year because me and you did it. And then we're like, we're not going to do the episode. This is the dumbest thing ever. Yeah, we got so excited. And then it's like Pokemon sleep. And like, just like, I don't know. I just messaged you. I'm like, we're not doing this. Yeah. but I was so excited. And I remember it ending. And I was like, really?
00:08:38
Speaker
That was it. God damn it. But ah yeah, anyway, state of play. Let's just hop right into these games because we have a lot of games to talk about. So oh yeah we're going to go just in order of what happened in the show. So ah i we're not ranking or I mean, we can rank at the end if we want, but uh yeah so this one it started off i instantly knew what this was before like i was so excited so and then i saw the ember labs logo pop up and i lost it so as anyone knows uh the game is kenna or kina kena can't remember how Scars of Kasmora.
00:09:15
Speaker
And for those who know me, I loved the first kind of bridge of spirits. ah It was a cute game. All the creatures were cute. The animation was incredible. The gameplay was a very PS2 platformer, which I love like,
00:09:30
Speaker
Some people thought ah thought of it as dated. I thought it was awesome because I love that era of gaming. And so this game, that game tickled every, like if the souls combat was really the weakest part of it for me. Cause I'm not a real souls gamer, but that game, I loved it so much. I wanted, I've actually been wanting to go back and play it again. So this is really giving me an excuse to play that game again before this one comes out. Cause I really want to relive that story. Cause I have forgotten a good chunk of it because I played it when it came out in 2021. 2021, yeah. It was 2021.
00:10:04
Speaker
It's been five years. that's I was going to play it on Xbox when it came out. I just never got around to it because I haven't played my Xbox as much. in recent years. So, ah but yeah, I am so excited for this. they've They're expanding on it looks like way more open world. The combat's being improved. It looks absolutely incredible. I am so stoked. And the fact that this opened the showcase, I was already like, oh, best showcase I've seen a long time. Like this, this is awesome. I cannot wait. So, ah and it's this year. So when they said 2026, I was floored. I could not believe that they announced it and it's coming out this year. I love, love, love when studios do that.
00:10:42
Speaker
and Obviously, we'll get to another game that came out shortly after. But i yeah, I absolutely cannot wait for this game. It is right. It's it's second on my list of games I'm most excited for this year behind one we'll get to. That was also in the showcase later.

Death Stranding 2 for PC

00:10:59
Speaker
But Sean, what did you think of this?
00:11:02
Speaker
Well, when it was shown, instantly thought of you. I'm like, oh, Hodge is probably... Hodge probably freaked out of this. yeah um I think it's... I think it's a great. um Awesome. I really liked the ah the first one. Not as much as you, but I'm high on it. But this has that...
00:11:18
Speaker
that ps2 sequel like that we're gonna take that next jump that like sequel that we always talk about how like the first game's good and the second one just knocks it out of the water like this has that written all right too yep um just so many the that the um the environments look a lot bigger the combat looks even smoother the graphics i remember this was like the first game when they when the first one bridge of spirits that they showed when i was the first time i was like whoa that cut scene and the gameplay is like identical you can't even tell the difference And it looks just like that here. It actually looks better here. You can tell like the characters, a i Kenna, she's aged up a little bit. it
00:11:54
Speaker
um Again, we get that proper progression. I think the combat looks awesome. I think it looks even better than in the first game. it's Something I found interesting, that they had a PlayStation Studios logo with it. And that it's been confirmed that it is a second party exclusive. which obviously it launched exclusively on PlayStation last time, but last time it didn't have that PS Studios logo.
00:12:16
Speaker
So I'll be really curious to see if this is just just PlayStation and PC moving forward or if they eventually bring it over. i have a feeling they would eventually... Well, I mean, this time around, maybe not because with Xbox, the way it's going, who knows? But I believe the other one was second party also. It just didn't have the PlayStation logo before. Yeah. so But yeah, this ah yeah i honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't come to Xbox because the way Xbox has been trending recently, i'm honestly, as someone who loves his Xbox, I am kind of scared for that that that um that brand. but So I wouldn't be surprised. But then again, i don't know, like Final Fantasy is still coming to Xbox. They're still pushing that stuff. So maybe if there's a bag for it, but...
00:13:02
Speaker
I wouldn't be surprised either way because the first one obviously did make its way so I could see the second one. But Yeah, I don't know. But either way, going to be playing this on my PS5 Pro day one, so I don't care. It's going to look gorgeous. It's going to look like a Pixar movie.
00:13:17
Speaker
Oh, I cannot wait. Dude, yeah, the cutscenes, it was very similar in the first one, but the cutscenes when it was like ah very cinematic cutscene, those straight up looked like you watching a DreamWorks movie. Like, it was so, so good. And yeah, this one, the gameplay is getting very close to that, where the cutscenes are obviously still incredible. But yeah, I cannot... I cannot wait. There's the one there was one part though in the trailer where they're like, this girl's crying over someone dead like dead on the ground. just had it pulled up and I watched it.
00:13:49
Speaker
Yeah. yeah yeah someone are polo Yeah. The person, i was like, was that a mistake? Because it looked like the character's eyes were rolling. I'm What happened there? But I don't know. That was one weird thing that I saw. But don't Maybe there's an explanation when it's in-game. But, ah yeah, I'm just I cannot wait. they I don't think they put a date on it. I think it's just 2026. So I'm guessing later, half second half of the year. But Maybe it will be September and it'll be being like five years to the day. Well, five years since, cause that was five years in 2021. But yeah, no, I'm like, I'm a huge fan of the bow and arrow combat. So I'm looking forward to that. It's going to be sick. It's to be great.
00:14:27
Speaker
I can't, I can't absolutely cannot wait for this, but um I don't have anything else to say unless you want, are you ready to say we go next up? Cause this, this brought a lot of excitement to a lot of people.
00:14:40
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah, so next up they showed Ghost of Yotei Legends, which is the free multiplayer expansion. ah They did this, obviously, with Ghost of Tsushima. I never played that because that came... I played it in 2020, I believe the year came out, and I wasn't really as tight with the people in Discord as I am now. I mean, I think I was in LSM, but I didn't really talk that much to people. um So I just didn't have anyone to play it with. But this time everyone's like, oh, can't wait. So I am so excited. I really want to hop in, play some four-player... Ghost of Yote with people and I love
00:15:15
Speaker
that this one is kind of more fantastical. Like it's very down to earth with Yote. Obviously there's a little bit of spiritual kind of stuff there, but this is very like you're fighting otherworldly creatures and it just, it looks so, so good. And I always heard legends for Tsushima was really good. So I'm very excited to see what this is and actually give it a try. So Sean, are you going to hop in and play with people or is this not your kind of,
00:15:44
Speaker
things i won't play it but it looks it looks awesome like i think it looks so good you know what reminds me of did you ever play the uncharted multiplayer yeah yeah you know how that had got that that dove into like the fantastical elements and it was like so much a more off the beaten path of like um like this is what it reminds me of like you it is like obviously this is like non-canon it's not related to the actual story like we can get as wonky and creative as we want this is what we're gonna do The the thing that baffles because this looks so good, is why does Sony release this as the free-to-play game when they could probably charge for this, but then you release like, oh, we're going to put Concord at $40 and we're going to put ah you know Fair Games at $40, but we're going to release this for free.
00:16:28
Speaker
like yeah to me, this is like this is the one that would succeed. Yeah, you would think it would be like a twenty at least like a $20 expansion or something. like You would think that, but yeah, for some reason, they're just like, nope, here you go It's free. So I'm not going to complain about it. looks awesome It looks awesome. I think it's really cool how they have the Yotai 6 coming back, and it's like, oh, but now they're like, again, they're more fantastical elements. You have the four classes. So yeah, it just looks it looks great.
00:16:55
Speaker
It looks great. So I'm excited. I'm excited for people who, because I know people were like, whoa, this is awesome, and it's coming out. imminently within less than a month right before marathon which is kind of weird um that yeah that is weird yeah but yeah what was this march 7th or something or march 7th or 10th or something 10th 10th yeah just like just 10th The one thing I also noticed, I don't know if I'm

Ghost of Yotei Legends

00:17:18
Speaker
looking too deep into this, but at the near the end of the trailer, they showed kind of a silhouetted person with red eyes. And I wondered if that was Jin Sakai because it had like the lower face mask thing on. I'm like, are going to be fighting like a ghost of Jin Sakai or something? Is that like a seventh boss that we have? I mean, I yourself totally see that given that, again, the fantastical elements like just throw him in there. Who cares?
00:17:43
Speaker
Yeah. So I wonder, i maybe I'm misreading it. I don't know. But ah someone who's tied her into this game might know. Yeah. It's a, I mean, it'll be playing in the episode, but it's at exactly five minutes and 16 seconds. It shows. And I'm like, I don't know. It looks like him, but it could also be just one of the OTA six. I'm not entirely sure, but yeah. um yeah this looks sweet and i'm very excited to hop in with a lot of the discord guys because i know everyone pretty much everyone in our discord who played it loves ghost of yote so uh i think people will be hopping in to this but um moving on from that unless you got anything else for it no i i this game another game i instantly thought of you when i saw this
00:18:30
Speaker
Um, well, next up was Death Stranding 2. Is that what you're talking about? Yeah. Yeah. So Death Stranding 2, it was just an announcement that it's coming to PC. I did have to laugh, though, because before the stream started, we just turned on the Last Stand Media streaming. The sacred streaming whatever they call it. Just they had the like little predictions and Dustin was so confident this wasn't going to be shown because I guess like Kojima tweeted that he's editing a trailer or something. and He's like, see, so I think that's the trailer for PC. So there's not going shown. And then it happened. and i just I started laughing like up Dustin, you were wrong. But ah yeah, it's just a PC announcement. I don't have anything to say other than it's a great game. I'm sure it's going I saw it have ultra-wide screen support and all that. like So people who haven't played it, if you are a PC gamer, definitely hop into this. i i
00:19:18
Speaker
Like I said with the first one, it's one of those series where it's like... To anyone who's like a gamer like us who plays like everything, I suggest it. But my friends who are more casuals, it's hard for me to recommend these games because they're so...
00:19:32
Speaker
weird and they're like so like they're so video gamey that my friends who are like they play the Call of Duty or Fortnite and like that's really all they play it's like it's hard but like my cousin who actually ah he might come on our show soon with ah we'll definitely have to have you on too because we want to do an episode about Ocarina of Time because it's one of his favorite games of all time And ah so especially with us do more often episodes, that'd be a lot of fun. But so he wants to come on because yeah that's one his favorite games. But I got him into it. And he's like, the only thing I don't like is the combat. I just like delivering the packages and like and I'm like, OK, so you are in the same camp as I mean, I like the combat, but I'm like, you're in the same combat as me where it's just it's such a relaxing vibe of a game. And so I love, love, love, love Death Stranding. So.

Legacy of Kain Defiance Remaster

00:20:19
Speaker
I'm just happy for anyone who hasn't played it and has a PC because you can also play. This game is beautiful. I played it on my pro, obviously. and so if you're on a high end PC, this game is going to look stunning. And I'm actually very curious as to how that would look. But Sean, I can't. Did you play this? two I've not played any of the Death Stranding game.
00:20:41
Speaker
it's It's I mean, I know i just it's one of those things that I just need to sit down and I'll probably put the first one in the instant. be Like i need to play the second one now. I do like Kojima. I like Metal Gear, um obviously, which we'll get to that later. yeah But um no, I do. But I think this game is going to really well on PC. I mean, the first one did really it kind of gave it a second life when it came to PC. And and it was on PC Game Pass, which was huge. that's Yeah.
00:21:07
Speaker
So I'm happy for people. My dad was pretty excited because he really liked Death Stranding too. So he was pretty excited. He's a Kojima stan, though. He's like a nice. Yeah. coach yeah knows he's He thinks it's gold.
00:21:18
Speaker
Yeah, I was never i mean obviously, we'll get into it when we get into the Metal Gear later, but I've never been like a Kojima person until Death Stranding. And now it's like, i want to play everything that man does. Like, because Death Stranding, i never expected that game to hook me as much as it did. This second one did as well, but it was longer. So there was a point in the game where i was like, all right, I just need to finish this. Like, yeah, I will. I definitely want to because it's such an it's a simple enough game that if like if I fall off a game,
00:21:45
Speaker
I usually have to restart it just because like I forget the controls and forget like where I am and stuff like that. but this game is, it's not so complex that, and I've already beaten it, that I could definitely go back and just start delivering packages and build my roads and all that. And it would be fine. So I'll probably go back eventually, but ah not anytime soon, but it's, I just love that it's, it's such a chill game and I love every moment of that game. So Um, moving on this is really the only game that I wasn't big on. And that is for loop.
00:22:18
Speaker
Uh, this isn't the first time we've seen it. They did. Um, I think it might've been like the Keelys or something. They showed it off. I can't remember where was. I think it was actually the Keelys. And cause I remember the trailer was very, it was very, um, uh, like hell divers of like,
00:22:36
Speaker
everyone's going to dive in. You're going to die. going respond. You're going to. they tried going with like that hell divers humor. And it just felt in that sense, it felt like very hell divers at home kind of vibe. And this one this trailer, they got away from that humor.
00:22:52
Speaker
But once they got away from that humor, it actually made it worse to me where it just looks like a very generic four player multiplayer game. And I don't think this is going to be like a Concord High Guard ah Horizon Huntier Gathering situation where people are meaning it to death that it's not going to survive. I honestly just see this game failing out of pure apathy. I don't think anyone's excited for it. No one's really trash talking it, but no one's talking like positively about it. And I just don't see this game surviving, but maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it's another arc Raiders where everyone goes into it and they, they just absolutely love it. But from what I've seen of this trailer, like looking at it now, it just, there's I, there's, have no excitement. And I'm the multiplayer guys. Everyone knows I'm the live service guy. I love playing games like that my friends, but this one does absolutely nothing for me. I'm i'm curious, obviously not really your type of bag, but what did you Forloup?
00:23:50
Speaker
This had a single player component to it. Just like a single player campaign. I'd be all over this. I think the gunplay looks really good. I think it's I love having like the third person and then you suit scope in and you're in the first person shooting mode. Like I love that. I think the enemy design looks really cool. ah But I again, I'm not going to be on there for a multiplayer. Like I know the story is probably going to be like the story is going to be basically non-existent. It's going to be about, you know, going on these adventures with your friends and doing stuff like that. So if if this had a single player store, I'd be all over it. But no, it's not for me. But I do what to say bad robot like the developer of the game I love their logo
00:24:26
Speaker
Oh, yeah there that's a yeah yeah. That's J.J. Abrams' company. ah they made the start that Bad Robot made Lost, Star Trek. they did They'd have done all that stuff. I do lie love that logo. Overall, I think it looks um i think it looks okay.
00:24:46
Speaker
But again, I just want a single-player game like this because then I play it. Yeah. Yeah, and I'm i'm okay it being wrong. Like if this comes out, it's awesome. I'll eat my words. Like I thought Helldivers 2 looked just kind of generic when they showed it because you really have to play that game to understand why it's fun. And who knows, maybe For Loop is that exact same way of where... I look at it and looks kind of generic and whatever, but I get in there and who knows, maybe that gameplay loop is insane. I don't, I don't know. But from what I saw, this is like the only game from the show that i was just like, this doesn't look very good and I don't see it surviving, but I'm happy to be wrong. I'm as, yeah, like I said, I'm the live service guy. So if I see some live service stuff that is awesome, cool.
00:25:29
Speaker
I'm excited for it, but. Um, next up, I don't know why this had to be here, but, ah Pragmata showed up again.

Pragmata PS5 Demo

00:25:39
Speaker
ah it's one of the, I, well, the thing that was awesome about this is that they talked about saying that the PS5 demo is live. So I, I, I need to actually play that still because this game looks awesome, but it's one of those games, like another one that'll be in here where actually it's the next, next game up you feel where am I might know.
00:25:58
Speaker
Yeah, and I don't need to see any more. You've shown this a hundred times. I'm excited for it. I want to play it. But using it as an announcement of a PS5 demo up now, I'm okay with it for that that yeah sake. But yeah, I don't need to see any more of this game. I want to play it.
00:26:13
Speaker
And ah Pragmato looks sweet. ah Sean, what did you think of I'm so hyped for this game. like I've been hyped for it since it was originally revealed years ago. When everyone thought it was like a Death Stranding game. Yes, everyone thought it was Death Stranding, yes. I'm so excited for it, though. i love the whole i love the vibes of it. It's so eerie. i love that trailer where he's like, oh, this is New York. It looks like New York. um yeah I can't believe we haven't found our any survivors yet. I love like there's there's going to be some humor there, which is what you get from Capcom games. You always get some type of humor, but it is is a serious vibe to post apocalyptic. i I just love it. I love the whole concept of running around with a girl on your back trying to like figure out what the heck's going on.
00:26:55
Speaker
So I'm really excited for it. um It screams to me that there's going to be areas where you're going to get like almost like not like a Metroidvania, but there's going to be areas where you go to and you're I'm to have to come back here at a later point with something, some type of upgrade and get through here somehow. And that's what screams that I see that.
00:27:13
Speaker
I'm so okay with that because that's what I love about Resident Evil. We talked about that on our last episode, how I love going like in one part, you're going down a hallway in the police station. You're like, this door is this key or whatever. And like, oh, I'm going to come back here I love, I love games like that. Like God of War 2018 and Ragnarok has that where you're like, this chest is closed with by some vines or something. i know you're going to be able to break it later. And, I love that kind of gameplay. So yeah, like I, I, I've never been like a huge Capcom guy just growing up because those were just never games that were really in my life. But after just falling in love with the resident evil series, I'm like, all right, I need to check this out. So I'm going, I need to download the the demo. I'll maybe play that tomorrow. I got stuff to do today. Cause it's Valentine's day, but, um,
00:27:59
Speaker
Yeah, but ah so I'll probably play it tomorrow because I do. I'm very this is a game that I'm not like hyped for like other people. i think it looks good. I'm pretty good. I'll be day one.
00:28:10
Speaker
Yeah, yeah. I'm but if if the demo is awesome, it might hook me to be day one. I will see. But I'm very excited to try the demo. I'm still weird out by the girls not wearing pants. It's weird, but it's okay. will say this. The end of the trailer got me hyped when all those things land, those, like, crazy enemy-looking things, and you start Oh, the little, like, yeah, like mannequins.
00:28:31
Speaker
And then you, like, run away. That got me really hyped. And then we had the date, obviously, April 24th. yeah. Yeah, I'm excited. I really like Capcom. I've been a huge Capcom fan my whole life. Like, I love Mega Man, which is Capcom. And I really love the Oracle of Ages and Oracle Season Zelda games, which were developed by Capcom. Like, I love those. So, yeah, Capcom, they're a great developer. They're one of like, the ones that has been, like, pretty consistent throughout, like, yeah gaming. Like, they've been, they don't really have a lot of, like, lulls. So, yeah, I'm excited.
00:29:00
Speaker
Yeah, they I know that people considered them kind of crap-com for a little bit like during like the Resident Evil 5 and 6 era. I know people weren't super high on them during that, but obviously they're back to being on top of their game because everyone's pumped for the new Mega Man game that's coming out in a year or two or whatever that is, and then this, Resident Evil. Yeah. Yeah. So ah speaking of Capcom, let's move on to Resident Evil Requiem showed up again. i don't need to see this game anymore. I'm sold

Resident Evil Requiem Excitement

00:29:30
Speaker
on it. that out like And like, so I don't I don't even want to spoil it for people if they don't watch it. They don't want to see anymore. But the fact that.
00:29:38
Speaker
this trailer showed, he goes back to the police station. I'm like, Oh, that would have been such an awesome reveal in game. Like, why did you show this in the trailer? I want, I want, it's like, there's, I don't, I'm deaf. I'm not going to spoil it for anyone who hasn't played God of War 2018, but there's a moment that if you haven't played the first few games, it wouldn't stick as hard. I don't think, but it's still a great moment, but to have, to not know that that was in the game before launch, um,
00:30:07
Speaker
made it that much better. And I feel like that would have been the case with the, with the police station reveal. Like that would have been so cool to be like, Oh, we're going back there. That's awesome. But again, i just, I don't need to see this game anymore. I'm so excited for this game. It's like I said, it's probably going to be the first resident evil game. I buy day one. It's, and it's not, you know, for any reason other than the fact that I just would always wait. I'm a, I am the kind of guy who, unless I'm like extremely hyped for a game, I wait for a sale just because you know, save a little money on the games. But,
00:30:37
Speaker
this I think it's a day one. I'm so, so, so excited for this game. so Sean, other than obviously we don't need to see any more, how pumped are you for Resident Evil?
00:30:48
Speaker
I mean, I'm not really. I'm not going to play. This will be like. That's fair. I forgot. But when the trailer came on, we knew it was coming up because we had already known Resident Evil was shown just because we had heard about it. The second it came on, I had to put it on pause. My dad had to leave the room.
00:31:03
Speaker
And then I played it. And then I had to pause it and call him when it was over doesn't want to see anything. So he doesn't... So he will probably skip this part. He'll see the timestamp. He'll skip over this part. I'll be putting timestamps for anyone who does... who Yeah, because that's... I have that. I'm keeping track of them. So, yeah. Yeah. So there are games that I like going on Blackout for. And yeah and so, yeah. I completely understand that for anyone who skips over chapters. my dad has not really...
00:31:29
Speaker
seen anything other since the Leon reveal. He's not like seen any he anything. that like He is total blackout. He's so ready. well i yeah that's And that's hard to avoid now because now he's in the art. like It used to just be Grace or whatever her name is in the art. Now it's Grace and Leon. so He is going into it, but he is super hyped. He is so ready. yeah I'm sure he'll have it. I'm sure he'll have the platinum within two days when it comes out because just play that all day, every day.
00:31:56
Speaker
yeah Yeah, so i'm i'm I'm very excited for this one. I hope... i i the This one, though, I will say it made me a little more excited for the Leon part of the game because, as I've said before, I i love the survival horror Resident Evil more than like the action Resident Evil. And so that's what Hurt 4 for me. But this one looked a little more grounded to RE2 combat. He does have the kick, obviously, a little bit of like the melee. But this definitely felt more RE2 remake than RE4 remake to me. me so oh yeah definitely definitely yeah so I'm very very excited for this game but I still think I'm gonna like the gray sections more because I love the survival runaway kind of like try and survive stuff so
00:32:39
Speaker
Yeah, very excited for this game, but I don't need to see any more. It does look awesome. Especially because it's coming out in, what, two weeks? Yeah, it's coming out at the end of February. I think it's 26th, I think, or 27th, something like that. I don't know. Probably 27th. I'm hoping to catch up on all the Resident Evil games so I can play this game like before the year gets out. this is like This could be an October game for me.
00:33:00
Speaker
because I really want to able to. Yeah, I was saying this to i was saying this i've i so midnight when we were watching the show. i was like, I kind of, for Halloween this year, instead of doing like a, we'd pick a topic and do so I was thinking like, what if we do like a ah like a stream of a game or something or do like a Resident Evil episode or something? I just, I want to do something that's not like Halloween specific. fine, yeah. I want to do like a horror game thing. So, I mean, we we got eight months to figure that out, but. Yeah, I'm definitely excited for this game. And it is February 27th. just checked because that is that's that is the Pokemon Day. Pokemon Day.
00:33:36
Speaker
pop monday day is that Pokemon Day? Yeah, it is. right. Well, RE and hopefully some great Pokemon news. I mean, they did you see like they had the Pokemon commercial during during the Super Bowl and stuff? like Oh, of course.
00:33:49
Speaker
And I think Pokemon sponsored some Olympic stuff or something. like yeah really hy up They've been sponsoring Olympic stuff for like 12 years now. But they like

Pokemon Day Announcements

00:34:00
Speaker
getting really into it.
00:34:01
Speaker
Yeah, so, but with how much they're hyping up Pokemon 30, if they don't have, like, an amazing announcement this year, i i'm I'm just, I'm going to scratch off my Pokemon tattoo and give up on Pokemon. Trust the process. Trust the process. Yeah.
00:34:14
Speaker
Yeah, so I really, really am hoping for the best of Pokemon. All right. Next up, ah we had the Legacy of Kain Defiance remaster. remaster um Have you ever played a Legacy of Kain game?
00:34:31
Speaker
ah Yes, actually, I played the first few Legacy of Cain games back in the PS2 era. m Yeah. Have you?
00:34:42
Speaker
No, this was always one that i always loved the look. I don't know the guy's name, the blue guy who has the the face mask. I know he doesn't have like a bottom jar or whatever. I've always loved that character design. It was so video gamey, like peak video game character design for me. But I just I never played these games. I don't know why ah But with these remasters, I'm like, I kind of feel like I should because yeah I know they're Amy Hennig games and she obviously made Uncharted which is some of my favorite games of all time as we talked about on our last episode and so I feel like because think it was where when we were watching the stream I watched it with Locke and a couple other guys and Locke was saying that apparently the writing in these games is really good so i i want to see the stories my favorite of so I've only played so I played so I played Blood Omen so it's weird I played Blood Omen 2 which was like the first PS2 I don't know Soul Raider 2 on PS2
00:35:40
Speaker
Oh, so I didn't play Soldier 2, but I played Blood Omen 2, which is one of their games. And then I played the original Legacy of King Defiance. Only reason i played these games is because my cousin had them and he like left them over our house.
00:35:55
Speaker
And so I played them and I thought they were awesome as a kid. like I thought it was super fun, like awesome, like awesome combat. I thought the the character design was really cool because i was really into like that like ah gothic horror like back when I was like really into it like as it was a kid. um combat super fun the writing is very like it feels so like if you look looking back at it it feels like a ps3 360 era writing game compared to like a like not like something you'd find on a ps3 or 360 rather than a ps2 because writing during the ps2 era i mean other than jrpgs not the best um yeah but um but yeah no they are super fun games i'm shocked that we're getting like i did not expect this at all And I think it's pretty cool you get, if you pre-order, you get like the demo of that unreleased Legacy of Cain game.
00:36:41
Speaker
Oh, really? Yeah, I forget. It's like the unreleased sequel Legacy of Cain Defiance. Okay. It never came out. Yeah. It's pretty cool. Yeah.
00:36:53
Speaker
The combat's fun. The combat is very um like Marvel Ultimate Alliance-like, but with weapons. king I liked Marvel Ultimate Alliance. that's I did too.
00:37:06
Speaker
Speaking of ah Marvel Ultimate Alliance comics, if you do get the Digital Luxe version too, you get that tie-in comic to Legacy of Kane as well. Oh, really? Nice. Yeah, which I'm thinking about doing it because it looks the art looks really cool.
00:37:19
Speaker
um And yeah, it's called Dark Prophecy, which was supposed to be the sequel to Defiance, which I actually remember when that game was announced at e three I think it was E3 2005, because I remember coming home from school and like running and trying to like watch trailers on like early, early YouTube or Google Video at the time. And I remember they announced it, and I was like, oh, that looks so cool. I want to play that. And then it and then i totally never came out.
00:37:41
Speaker
ah Yeah, that sucks. um So this one is March 3rd, by the way, is when it's coming out. So that one's also very, very soon, which is crazy. ah you know what it You know what it reminded me of? when So I didn't know what Medieval was as a kid because I never had it. So when PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale got revealed and I saw Sir Daniel, originally I thought it was a Legacy of Cain character.
00:38:05
Speaker
Until I looked it up, obviously. But i was shocked that is someone I was shocked was not in like the the main... i think that ah I'm surprised Legacy of Cain was not represented in PlayStation Battle. Yeah, because Legacy of Cain was a big... i remember That was like a mascot for PlayStation back in the day. Well, it was originally PlayStation and Dreamcast. And then... um And obviously it wasn't on Dreamcast after that. But yeah, i was i was I thought it would be. But again, super fun games. I think yeah it reminds me that if you like that PS2 era, like combat, you'll like this game.
00:38:41
Speaker
And the writing, I guess, is good. Yeah, i'm i've I'll probably check these out eventually. They're not high on my list, but they are games that I do want to try someday. but You know what it screams to me? That this will be on PlayStation Plus in about seven months.
00:38:57
Speaker
That was my thought. is like I feel like I could get these on PlayStation Plus eventually. That's kind of where I'm at. um Speaking of PlayStation games from back in the day, I tried playing ah the Gex Trilogy the other day. Those games do not hold up.
00:39:12
Speaker
I've never played Gex. That's one of those mascot platforms I've ever played. Well, the first one has like... SNES level quality to it. Not and not in like a, but not a good way. Like it has very bad sound effects, bad gameplay. It does not play very well. And ah I tried playing Gex 2 and it's not like horrible, but it is a very of its time. It's like, it's not like Spyro where you can still play that today and it feels good. It's very PlayStation 1 platformer.
00:39:46
Speaker
in the worst way it's not does it have tank controls because it's like croc has tank controls no it's not it's not tank controls thankfully it's it's you can move your camera freely and stuff like that so it's it's better than that but yeah it's not not great um but anyway Next up was a game called Brigandine Abyss. ah This is actually one that I thought of you with. So are you excited for this game? I am And you know what's funny? I had never heard of this. This is a series dating back to PlayStation 1. I had never heard of this series before. really?
00:40:21
Speaker
Yes. it So it originally, there was original, like a tactical RPG on PlayStation one that takes place in this universe. I had never heard of it. It probably, i mean, so many JRPGs were coming out at that time. It probably just swept under the rug. My dad had never heard of it, which I was shocked at. Cause back then he bought every fricking JRPG under the sun for PS1. That's why I've played so many of them, but we had never heard of it. So then we started doing some research and i'm like, Oh my God, this looks sick. I think the anime style looks awesome in the cut scenes. And,
00:40:48
Speaker
I think the gameplay looks really cool. It's like a turn-based tactic grid. It reminds me a little bit of Fire Emblem, but not like not so much of the tactics with Fire Emblem. I'm really excited for this because apparently you don't have to play all of them to like understand the story.
00:41:04
Speaker
So I'm getting this game. I'm getting this game. i'm getting this game Yeah, it doesn't have a date, just says 2026 on it. So it will be coming out this year at some point, hopefully. Yeah, I'm thinking about before. So the last one that came out in the series was a game that out in 2020 for the PS4 and that came out for the Switch, too. And well, the wrote the original Switch on Switch 2. And it's called The Legend of Runes Zaria. It's Brigadine, The Legend of Runes Zaria. And it is a sequel to the PS1 game. But again, you can play it without having played the sequel. So I mean, the original. So I am like, I might pick this up and actually play because looked it up and I can get it for like 20 bucks.
00:41:46
Speaker
Oh, very nice. Yeah. Yeah. This, this one obviously wasn't much. I liked the art style. Cause obviously I like anime, but the gameplay, I'm not that, I don't like the grid combat stuff. So I don't think I will be touching this one, but we definitely, yeah we were watching this we're like this is definitely Sean Mason. yeah um They also have one of the writers, Kenji Tarada, who's written for the final, who wrote the original story for Final Fantasy one, two, and three. He was one of the lead writers on there is being brought in for this game. So I'm pretty excited. That's pretty cool.
00:42:15
Speaker
Yeah. He is. you Guess how old he is now. That guy. And he's still freaking working on these games. um I don't 60, 70? 73. I'm like, Jesus.
00:42:27
Speaker
Wow. Yeah. He's got a passion for the the series, which is awesome. Yeah. So he is big. He is. He's big into JRPG writing. So, yeah yeah, I'm excited for it. If I was if I had something but that I was that passionate about, I would keep working in my 70s. I mean, yeah. de Yeah. That's awesome.
00:42:45
Speaker
um So, unless you got anything else, we can keep moving. i don't i'm not going to have much to say about this. I doubt you will either. But Dead or Alive 6, the last round. ah Apparently, this is like an old, really old game, and they're just still updating it. So, I don't know what's going on with this. that's what Someone was saying this was like a 2013 game or something, and they're still adding to it. I mean, looking at the graphics, it definitely looks good.
00:43:11
Speaker
It's weird. So I've my only experience with Dead or Alive is I'll never forget it. um My neighbor growing up, one of the only kids I knew with an Xbox um played Dead or Alive. And I was like, what is this game? And I felt like really weird because mom walked in and we're playing it. And I was like, what am I? It was the weirdest. I was probably like six. I was probably like eight or nine at the time. And I'm like.
00:43:34
Speaker
Oh my God. This is so weird. So I never really got into it. I know they have like dead or alive beach volleyball as well. Like that's like a thing. Um, Yeah. well Yeah. I do remember this is, it's kind of like the, the horny Tekken kind of, yeah kind of game. um And then they're going to, so it's like dead or alive. And then they announced another dead or alive game after. Yeah. it Like the 30th. Not going to be free to play.
00:43:57
Speaker
i was laughing so hard with that one though, because the trailer was literally, it just showed the girls cleavage and then had the title of like 30th anniversary or whatever. Yeah. I'm like, what? it was But yes, that camera angle was very like, what are we doing here? Like, yeah, it was very doing.
00:44:12
Speaker
Yeah, it was very. ah Yeah, this is for the men. But I did. laugh I was laughing because if you watch the trailer, you can tell that they have like the quote unquote jiggle physics of the of the women in those games. So weird. Why even have that? It's the weirdest thing.
00:44:29
Speaker
it It brings me back to, i don't know if you remember, on PS2, they had BMXXX, where it was just the BMX game, but the women were topless, and was so stupid. Remember the guy game?
00:44:41
Speaker
oh yeah. I never played it, but... No, i yeah I never played it either, but yeah, it was basically that era of video games. Booth games at E3, yeah.
00:44:52
Speaker
Yeah, that's that's really all I think goes on. I cannot believe these are still things. I cannot believe they're still. Who was playing that game that came out in 2013? don't know, man. i Other than GTA Online. yeah Yeah. But, I mean, like, I guess if it's maybe the yeah actual gameplay is fun, but, yeah, the whole ah very very male game. But, yeah, it's weird. but So, okay, so I just looked it up. I just looked it up. the The beach volleyball games are called Dead or Alive Extreme.
00:45:21
Speaker
With an X, not an EX. With an X, obviously. No, obviously. you got you can't hey yeah It's got to be just an X. Yeah, obviously. Yeah, I don't know. I got nothing else to add to these. um yeah If you're a Dead or Lie fan...
00:45:35
Speaker
good on you i guess um next up is the game that i'm definitely most excited for this year and that is control resonant uh as i said i've i just recently uh platinum did again the first one because i just i'm getting ready for this game i'm so excited for it i kind of i really want to replay the allen wake games again too but uh yeah this game yeah I'm like, I'm, I, the gunplay of the first one was so fun. I'm kind of bummed. It's not here, but this melee combat looks so good that I don't really care.

Control Resonant Anticipation

00:46:09
Speaker
I'm very excited. I'm sad. It's only says 2026. It didn't have a date.
00:46:14
Speaker
Um, I looked up, um, Alan Wake, I believe, was either September, October, and Control, I think, was like February or March. ah This one's obviously not going be February or March. Otherwise, it would have had a had a date. But I could see this game being a fall game, but I am so, so excited for this. The the graphics look beautiful. The gameplay looks fun. the The changing of gravity as you're going on different buildings and stuff, it looks so cool. I'm very excited to see what a resonant is. Obviously, it's definitely a very...
00:46:46
Speaker
powerful enemy in that, in that universe. So, uh, yeah, I, I, I cannot wait. I kind of want to go on blackout for this game now, but at the same time, I just love everything i'm seeing that I want to keep watching it in that, in that sense. But, uh, yeah, I'm so, so excited for this game. Uh, what'd you think of this?
00:47:03
Speaker
Freaking combat looks unreal. Looks so good, the combat. Super smooth, super smooth transitions. I love like the parkour elements. you're just running around. and just I think the enemy design looks really cool. The enemy design, to me, looks like a combination of Expedition 33 with Nier.
00:47:19
Speaker
Automata. They look like a combination of the two. And yeah I think that looks super cool. I understand what you're saying because I gave the gun play in the first game, but I would not. I think this looks so cool. like The dodge mechanics look awesome. Parrying around. That like hammer move that ah that the guy has looks freaking sweet.
00:47:39
Speaker
I think this looks awesome. It just makes me really want to play Control because I've never played it. I've never played Alan Wake. So I need to go back and play it. You do need to. Alan Lake is obviously a very different game, but I think yeah before before this comes out, I would definitely suggest playing Control. It is incredible. It's very, like, yeah, this guy, you can, I'm looking at now, you can glide and all that stuff, which you can do in the first game.
00:48:03
Speaker
Really, it looks, at the gameplay looks similar to the first, other than it's close combat instead of ah obviously far combat with guns, but... ah The movement stuff all looks very similar to how it was in the first game. Other than the gravity shift stuff that was in the first game. But yeah, this it looks incredible. I cannot wait for this. You definitely like play. but Even like that if you watch like the physics in like the trailer, like there was a point in the trailer where there's like ah there's like um like a lawn chair that just like flips over and goes. It looks so realistic.
00:48:35
Speaker
It's so good. like This looks awesome. i am like I'm actually really excited because I really want I heard the story's pretty like complex and there's a lot of reading documents. mean know I love to read. I love reading in-game lore. That's not me being sarcastic. I actually really do love love reading in-game. This is a guy who sat there for hours and read all the Horizon in-game lore.
00:48:53
Speaker
So I'm actually really excited to hop into this. And like, I am definitely going to be playing, catching up and getting this because I want to be able to be there day one for this. Cause I want to do it. Yeah. Dude. The ah control is awesome too, because remedy is so good at like combining their universes that in control you find documents that like address alan wake like there's stuff that it's like hints towards alan way and it's just so it's so good i yeah i'm not someone who goes and reads everything but i read not on my most recent playthrough i kind of just powered through it to get the platinum and just get the feel of the game and the story again but The first time I played, it I read almost every document and I'm not really a document reader, but it's such an interesting game. i find every you can find like videos of like scientists doing experiments and like these fake like there's like a fake puppet show that's really creepy and weird, but like there's all this these awesome findable unlockable stuff and yeah the first one is incredible i definitely suggest playing it um did you ever play the first ellen wake i can't remember because i know we talked about it last no i was going to and then i just never did i need to though because i own it yeah and i own the second one too um yeah So if you do, I would suggest playing them basically in release order of Alan Wake, Control, Alan Wake 2, because to play Alan Wake 2, you kind of need to understand what happened in Control, whereas ah Control, you don't really need to know Alan Wake 1, but it helps, I think, to play them in order, but
00:50:27
Speaker
ah Yeah, I would definitely suggest playing those in that order if you're going to play them. But yeah, they're incredible. I mean, the first Alan Wake is 10 hours if you're really slow. ah Control is, i well, I platinumed it in like 15 hours, but that's cause i'd already played it. So I flew through it. But I think it's like a 20 to 30 hour platinum.
00:50:47
Speaker
And then Alan Wake 2, I believe that was 25 to 30 hours to for me to platinum that as well. So yeah. They're not super long, which is nice. so And I'm ah i'm assuming Resident be about the same, resin i be about sameba like a 30-hour game. So, yeah, I am so excited for it. And I will be getting this one, of course, on PlayStation Pro because I think they said it has a Pro version... Because I know Alan Wake 2 did. And I actually haven't played that yet. So when I say Platinum, I mean and I 100,000 G'd it on a Xbox. But I'm going to Platinum it this year because I want to play Alan Wake 2 on the Pro because I know it has those enhancements and it looks incredible. So I'm very, very excited to replay that as well. but All right. Next up is Crimson Moon.
00:51:36
Speaker
ah I'm going let you take this one first. I have to remember kind of what it is. OK, so Crimson Moon here. guy had like the do it kind of looks like Doom, but with like medieval combat. It's like, oh, my God, getting Doom with medieval combat. And we're running around melee and people because I had that like that like heavy metal music going. running around and i thought it looked pretty cool kind of reminded me like a ps2 era game like you're just running around beating the crap out of things the graphics didn't look too incredible um i thought it looked interesting but then i saw the developer probably monsters
00:52:08
Speaker
These are the people who originally worked on Concord and then they like kind of like left and they kind of some of the people from this team are on Concord. They've made a couple games. um They're not received well, like not at all. Their games tend to be broken or not play very well. um But this did look pretty cool.
00:52:34
Speaker
um But again, i do have some hesitation. Not saying that all developers are bad, because I did play that Nicktoons, the Dice of Destiny game, which was by that really, really horrid developer. And that game was actually really good. Well, not really good, but it was good.

Crimson Moon Skepticism

00:52:46
Speaker
Combat looks pretty cool. The story is going be absolute nonsense. I know that this is not a game I'll be playing for the story. This will be playing on purely for gameplay. It looks like there was some co-op function to it as well. um At first, I thought it was like, my oh my god, is this going be like a like a firm so like a firm soft like style like medieval game? But then, no it's definitely not. It's more of like a hack and slash beat em up. So, if I do play this, it will be more for the vibes.
00:53:10
Speaker
Yeah, this one I do remember, now that I'm looking at it again, i had the thought of this looks very like early Xbox One, PS4 era graphics. like it The graphics really aren't that impressive. This is one I didn't want to say looked bad because it's not really my type of game. But if you're saying, I just looked up that... that that developer probably monsters and I've never heard of any other games. they They have one game called Nikomi Nazi Hunter. So I don't know what that is, but um yeah, I'm just like, now that I'm looking at it, I'm a little more skeptical on it. Just kind of looking more into it, but i don't know if it's good. People like it. Awesome. But it's not definitely not my vibe of game, but
00:53:57
Speaker
That's why I didn't want to be too down on it because I was like, I don't know. Cause when we were watching everyone's like, Oh, is this like to Vinny sin? Or, Oh, is this, this, that, or like everyone's trying to guess what it is. And, uh, everyone's like, and then when it was announced, we're all like, Oh, I don't know what this So, uh, yeah, I didn't want to be too down on it. If people like it, awesome, but it's really not for me. So I don't know.
00:54:16
Speaker
I didn't have much to say about this one, but. um Unless you have anything else, we'll move on to Beast of Reincarnation. as we know, we saw this at the Xbox developer, whatever, Direct. ah it I'm very... I'm still very interested in this game. I can't say I'm hyped, but I want to see what Game Freak can do without the the the reins of Pokemon around their neck. Because it looks... I love the...
00:54:48
Speaker
I don't know how the gameplay will be, but I love the setting, like the the forest monsters and kind of stuff. The setting looks really interesting. and I'm very intrigued in it. And again, if this wasn't on Game Pass, I would maybe not touch it. But with it being free 99, basically, via Game Pass, I think I am going to try this game when it launches. I can't remember when it's coming out. to you Did it have a date? August.
00:55:14
Speaker
August is August. Okay. August 4th. Yeah. Yeah. So yeah, and especially in

Beast of Reincarnation Intrigue

00:55:20
Speaker
August, hopefully it'll be a little bit of a, of a lull of a time in the year where I'll feel a little more confident taking the time to play it. So um I know we talked about it on the Xbox dev direct, but if you have anything else you want to add to after seeing this trailer or what are you thinking about this one?
00:55:37
Speaker
i'm really excited for it i'm gonna i'm gonna i'm gonna be there probably day one for it i think the combat looks awesome i think the the gameplay looks like i think that we're gonna have actually a pretty cool compelling story too i love that open environment i love how there's a part where she jumps off like a like a tall skyscraper comes down and just chop something in half that looks really cool it's kind of it's like medieval but futuristic at the same time not medieval it's like um ancient samurai warrior but futuristic at the same time. So, well that yeah, I am. what I like, cause it's that very horizon thing of like, yeah it's, it's, it's like, uh, it's not as pre prehistoric as, um, horizon, but it's like that ancient samurai era, but in a post-apocalyptic world. And yeahs yeah, it's really cool.
00:56:20
Speaker
The gameplay, like I said, looks good. And anytime I see that game freak logo too, when that game, I still, I'm like, what is going on here with this game? Yeah. But, um, no, I'm excited. So yeah, I don't need to see any more of it. Um,
00:56:32
Speaker
So just get du just give me the game. And I have a feeling we're going see some more of it probably around Summer Game Fest. Yeah, I was going to say Summer Game Fest will probably have like a launch trailer type thing. Probably maybe a demo too that will come out with it.
00:56:45
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah, i'm I'm definitely intrigued. And like I said, with it being on Game Pass, that's definitely the easy barrier of entry for me. So I'm excited for that book. I don't have too much to add because obviously we talked about a lot about on the Xbox thing. But next up is a Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition.
00:57:04
Speaker
I've only ever played one Rayman game. I think it was on Xbox One, like Rayman Legends or something. Yeah, the one that everyone freaking loves. Yeah, and I remember thinking it was incredible. This one, I don't know if I'll play it just because it's like... It's cool that they're releasing these old school PS1 ones, but i' ah at the same time...
00:57:25
Speaker
i've never I'm not like a huge diehard Rayman fan, so I'm not like you know lusting for this any means. But ah what about you? have Have you played any other Raymans or any of them in general?
00:57:39
Speaker
i've know Well, the first PS2 game I ever played was Rayman because my uncle brought the game. like We had like a demo for it or something. I don't even remember. But this is this is what one thing that kind of surprised me is, like yes, this is a Rayman
00:57:54
Speaker
30th anniversary edition, but you're just getting caught. Like you're just getting different variations of the first Rayman game. It's not like a collection of like Oh, Rayman one Rayman two Rayman three. It's just a, it's different versions of the first one, which they all do play very differently. Um,
00:58:09
Speaker
But I've never been a Rayman guy. I do like the Rabbids now, thanks to Mario and Rabbids, but I've probably never played a Rabbids game. And i know I don't think any of the Rabbids are in this game. But um I think it's cool how you know you get like the documentary, you get some art style. I love all how you get all that stuff in these anniversary games. Because it's the same people who did the...
00:58:28
Speaker
mortal combat one and they put so much time and effort into that and i'm like i said we're not mortal combat fans but you have to admire think that the the stuff they put into that um collection so this looks like for people who are fans of uh rayman that documentary alone would probably be worth the price yeah yeah um yeah i just and

Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition

00:58:49
Speaker
also it's actually already out i just looked at the digital release was february 13th so it came out yesterday of what we're recording so ah Yeah, if you're a fan Rayman, go check that out. It's one of those, again, where it's like, if it comes to PS Plus, maybe. We'll see. But it's definitely not like a... I don't go out of my way for Rayman. Because I think the only reason I had a Rayman game, it was probably a Games with Gold, if I had to guess. That's probably why I have one. Because back when Xbox had good games on Games with Gold.
00:59:17
Speaker
But ah at that ended. But next up... is ah a game that I still always forget never came out yet, and that is Mina the Hollower. Sean, I'm going to let you take this one. I know we've talked about it before a big showing up. I think it looks it like a beautiful game, and I know obviously Shovel Knight is an amazing game by all means. I've never played it, but... I know people love it. So, Sean, me and the Hallower, how excited you for Oh, I cannot wait for this game. was supposed to come out last year in October, and it didn't come out, and we didn't get a release date, we still don't have the f freaking release date. It

Mina the Hollower Frustration

00:59:50
Speaker
just says spring. I know. I'm like, what is going on here? but Yeah. um this This screams, like, remember how I brought those Capcom Zelda games? This is a Capcom Zelda game. I played this demo at...
01:00:01
Speaker
Pax 2023. And it was freaking fantastic. And they were like, oh, it's coming out later this year. I'm like, oh yeah, it's going to be great. This has been three years since then. it's Three years next month since I played that demo. It is so good though. I am super excited. I love Yacht Club. Shovel Knight's one of my favorite games of all time, as people know. um But Mina the Hollower looks awesome. The playable demo is out now on PlayStation, which is the same demo from the Switch version. So I already played it and your progress carries over. i will be double dipping for this game. I will be buying it on PlayStation. I will be buying it on Switch because I freaking love the Yacht Club. And I already know Mean is going to be great.
01:00:36
Speaker
The only fear I have is that it's been so long that this game is not going sell nearly as well as Shovel Knight. And I fear that Yacht Club could be in trouble because of that. Yeah, possibly. But I mean, if it's if it's big enough, I could see that I could see word of mouth carrying it eventually if it is like as incredible as you say it should be. So who knows? It is a Game Boy Color Zelda game.
01:00:59
Speaker
That's what it is. Yeah, I love the look of that that old so pixel art. It's I love it so much. It's so it brings me back to. Yeah, it looks like something I would have played on Game Boy back then. But it is. It's like it's essentially a Game Boy game. It's freaking awesome.
01:01:15
Speaker
Nice. All right. Next up is, i don't know if it's Neva or Neva. I don't know, but ah it's a prologue. I've never played this game. This is one of those. I've said this before on the show. There are certain games that when I see them, I just think of like...
01:01:34
Speaker
oh, this is a pretentious indie game. Like, that's really all I think of. And i don't know if this game's good. It probably is. i've I haven't heard too much about it, but that's the vibe I get from it. It doesn't look bad by any stretch, but it's it's one of those where it's like, I look at it and it's one of those where it's like, you should, where they're telling you like, you should like this because it looks good. And that, and so I don't know if it's the contrary to me where I'm like, I'm not interested, but... I don't know. It could be good. I've never, again, never played the first one, so I don't know anything about it. But it's pretty, but at the same time, it just screams like, we are an indie game. And so...
01:02:11
Speaker
i don't know Well, you have any interest in this? Yeah, i do. Cause I played Neva back in 2024 and I thought it was, it was really good. It was a, it's a platforming game with puzzles and like the world, not too difficult.

Neva's Prologue Interest

01:02:24
Speaker
Art style is fricking amazing. And the story is very heartfelt and very like down to earth. The reason I played it though, was because shout out to MinMax. MinMax really was a big proponent of this game. No one was talking about it. And then they were really like harping on it around like they they do their, game of the year list. and they They don't do game of the year. They do their where they just talk about 20 games. and They were all really high on Neva, so I picked it up and played it. and It was like awesome. Really, really good art style.
01:02:50
Speaker
Super smooth controls, like super responsive. and The story is down to earth. and it's really interesting It's from a Spanish development team from South America, which you like never hear of. like That's very like very odd. um it's ah It's good, though. and They also made Grease. Remember that remember that game Grease?
01:03:08
Speaker
Yeah, it's spelled G-R-I-S or whatever. Yeah, same, same, same developer. It was really good, like really, really good. I played it on Switch, and this is like a, this was originally supposed to be like ah an expansion, like a couple hour expansion, but they're actually going to make it into, it and now it's going to be its full-on game. So I am really excited for it.
01:03:29
Speaker
Yeah, maybe. ah I want to say I have the first one. It might be on Game Pass or it was on PS Plus or something. I can't remember. But I want to say I have it. And I might even have it downloaded. But i don't know. Maybe I'll check it out eventually. But yeah, I don't know. It it just it didn't stick out to me. It just kind of looked like, hey, indie game kind of look. But it comes out February 19th. So it'll be out by next weekend. so So I'll probably be playing it at some point in the near future.
01:03:55
Speaker
Nice. Very nice. Next up is Yakko Shinobi Ops. ah This game, i can't i gotta look at it. Oh yeah, it was like, when we saw it, we're like, cool art style, but at the same time, it also just, I don't know. there' there's it it looked cool, but at the same time, I was just like, I am very iffy on this one. I don't know. Maybe it's just because I've...
01:04:26
Speaker
I don't know. What would you think

Yakko Shinobi Ops

01:04:28
Speaker
about it? i can't even put words to it. It's interesting. I'm not really into these like tactical stealth games. I think it it is cool. Like the, it's not like topic. It almost reminds me of like the, the, um, the perspective of like a Diablo game kind of like, The way it's kind of like centered, almost not top-down completely, but kind of at at ah at ah a triangular angle. You're trying to sneak around. To me, it's like, okay, the objective is to get to the end of this area. How can you get there? And there's so many different probably ways to get there that it's designed for replayability on each level.
01:05:00
Speaker
It is pretty cool to set it in like a this kind of like ancient... I don't even know if it's the Japanese or Chinese or somewhere, whatever they're, whatever they're um setting it in Asian. Yeah. Asian. um That is a pretty cool setting for like a tactical stealth game. um I don't know. I don't have to wait and see on the like reviews and what other people say, but it does seem pretty interesting. It's different. It's very different.
01:05:31
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I the reason why now I'm remembering why was iffy on this is because right at the end of this trailer before it shows the title, there's just this very quick animation of them hopping a fence and running away. And that animation is so bad I was like, I don't I feel like it's indicative indicative of how the game's quality is going to be like it was and i don't maybe that's unfair probably is but i saw that animation i remember audibly saying and a couple other guys in the chat were like oof that looks bad so we're all kind of like i don't know about this one don't know maybe it's great i can't tell i'm assuming it's a four-player co-op game from the look of it or else you just get four people don't what's going on but Yeah, I don't know. I think it's 2027. I don't know. Maybe they had time to polish it. But yeah, that it didn't do it for me. So don't know. Yeah, I don't really recognize any of the games that they published either or developed. Like they the only one that I really recognize is and I never played it or anything, but it's Project Survival. Huh? I don't know. like an anime. Gotcha. Game.
01:06:48
Speaker
Let's see. Project Survival. Working title. Yeah, I don't know. It's the one I've ever heard of. It's not out yet, but that's the only one I've ever heard of. It's supposed to be like some anime gotcha game. And this game doesn't come out until 2027, so... Yeah, who knows?
01:07:05
Speaker
um But I got nothing else to say

Project Windless Meme

01:07:08
Speaker
about that one. But yeah next up is Project Windless. This game, it's mostly become just a meme online because you play as a giant chicken. ah It looks... Honestly, i was saying this while we were watching the the showcase...
01:07:23
Speaker
It looks very generic. But the only reason that people are going to remember it is because you play it as a chicken or play as a chicken. And that's kind of the vibe I've gotten from it since. So I think I was right in saying that because literally it's the only thing people talking about. Like, oh, look at the chicken little glow up is I think the big meme going around of this is who he this is who he is now. And so it's, I don't know, maybe this game will be good, but it looks very, very generic, like dynasty warriors, but you're a chicken and, you
01:07:56
Speaker
Yeah, I don't know. I don't have much to say about it. I mean, if people like it, I could see this game being popular on Twitch or something just as like a meme, but I don't yes i don't think it's going to be that big.
01:08:07
Speaker
but yeah Yeah, it's a game you get to play. It's Poultra from the Jimmy Neutron movie. ah It's actually based on a book series from like Korea, which I had no idea about, but I actually looked it up, and i guess they're pretty popular books. But yeah, it is like a Musou-style Dynasty Warriors game, not made by them, though. It's going be interesting. ah These games never really hold me. And again, these games are like, if it's the IP, if you like the IP that they're making, like that game's probably to be for you. But yeah, I think it's going to sell copies, again, because you're playing as a giant chicken.
01:08:43
Speaker
Exactly. Exactly. No date, so who knows when it's coming out. but um Next up, I am so pumped for this game.

Star Wars Galactic Racer Excitement

01:08:53
Speaker
And that is Star Wars Galactic Racer.
01:08:56
Speaker
As I've talked about on here, i loved the pod racing game growing up. I played it at my buddies on N64. I had it on PS1. played it again when the remaster came out on Xbox. I got all the achievements. I do own it on PlayStation and I am going to platinum it at some point because I absolutely love that game. And this is just a spiritual successor where you don't only play in pod racers. They did show at the end of the trailer. You play you can play Sebulba.
01:09:20
Speaker
And I saw Ben Quadraneros was there. i don't know if you can play as him or if he's just in the game as an Easter egg. But yeah, I absolutely love the podracing games. This looks like just a new version of that. And I am so excited for this game. Sean, what did you think about Star Wars Galactic Racer?
01:09:38
Speaker
I think it looks good. I think it's I think it looks actually looks a little better than the first time we saw it, which was the Achilles. We saw Yeah, i think it was Achilles. Yes. one of the number it was it was that and the new Fate of the Old Republic. Yeah, both in the same show.
01:09:53
Speaker
So I think it actually looks a little bit better than that. I think it was great for them to confirm that, the you know, the pod racers are in it. um But yeah, it looks pretty cool. um We always have to have, you know, we have to have a Star Wars game every year. It's going to be interesting because there it reminded me of much more of like a like ah ah racing, like an actual racing game rather than those like the pod, like the more arcade-y pod racing games. so I'll be curious to see what kind of mechanics they have in here. the cra I'm going to be really interested to see like some of the customization options they also have.
01:10:25
Speaker
So, yeah, it's going to be interesting. um I'm not like I'm kind of done with Star Wars, but the one of the crashes reminded me so much of like a burnout game. Like one there was a crash where the car was flipping like horizontally. And that looked so much like burnout.
01:10:41
Speaker
i want to say it was like meatball. or someone in our Someone in the chat when we were watching it said that. Like like they said it looks like Star Wars burnout. Yeah. And so, I mean, I've never played burnout, so I don't know. But...
01:10:52
Speaker
I also love that um this trailer actually confirmed more planets because I was kind of worried. So, I mean, obviously you remember you got the planet amount long ago. Battlefront 2, how many planets there were that you could play on in that game. And then like Battlefront, the remake one came out and there was just so fewer levels. Like they... Because they put so much detail and everything that they had less levels to play on. And I feel like that's kind of what I was getting with this at first. Because they're really only showing Jakku and one other planet. But then this one they finally showed like ah they showed a Hoth. They showed...
01:11:27
Speaker
I can't remember. There's a couple other planets they showed. Oh, Yavin 4. I just looked at it now. Yeah. but there's a bunch of different planets from this. So I'm i'm hoping that there's a way more levels and they're just not wanting to ah unveil everything. I think Moose Sefar was one of them because they did show us some lava that they were driving around. This also screams to me that there's going to be a season pass with new characters, new new added vehicles, new added maps. It screams to me that. But hey, that's what the I mean, that's the current landscape of games. I mean, that's how it is. But it does look cool. And if it plays fun if it's fun to play, i always like playing racing games. So you know what? I will pick this up. My dad was pretty excited for it.
01:11:59
Speaker
He loves racing games in general. And he loves Star Wars other than the crap that comes up. Yeah, I'm not like a huge racer game person. But I loved Podracer so much that I have to i have to play this game. Hopefully they allow you to play as young Annie.
01:12:13
Speaker
Annie. Annie. Yippee.
01:12:19
Speaker
It's working.

007 First Light Curiosity

01:12:21
Speaker
Um, but next up, uh, is 007 first light. Uh, this was actually the best trailer I saw for this game. agree. I haven't totally agree.
01:12:31
Speaker
Yeah. I haven't been hyped for this game at all. This was the first one where was like, Oh, looks pretty good, but I, it's still at the same time. I know Locke said the same thing. It just looks like uncharted, but James Bond and, That's what it literally was about. the citizen It looks like Uncharted, but james fun but like like you said, of every trailer we've seen for this game, this one did the did it justice the most. It was probably the best one. I think they kind of nailed down um ah direction, kind of what what they want to show us. But yeah, it very much looks like an uncharted an Uncharted game that... Yeah, it definitely looks like an Uncharted game. I'm going to be very curious to see how this is, because this is, again, it's the Hitman team, but this looks much more like a...
01:13:14
Speaker
Much more like a an adventure game rather than like, oh, we're going to snipe and just take out our targets. Yeah. Yeah, because i've yeah I've never played a Hitman game. up by someone I always hear they're you know they're good. I've seen the movie with Timothy Olyphant. But ah I just like I love the the lady killer suave James Bond. I don't want a Like the Dan and Craig movies are you know good and everything, but I don't want like ah a Nathan Drake, Daniel Craig, James Bond. I want like a Timothy Dalton, Sean Connery, James Bond. And so that kind of just ruins this for me. I mean, i don't think from what we've seen, i don't think this is going to be like a game of the year contender. I could see it being like a mid 80s kind of Metacritic type game, but
01:14:00
Speaker
I'm sure people will like it, but it's just not doing anything for me personally. Again, it was the best trail we saw. i didn't think it looks bad by any stretch. It's just I don't really have any interest in this. I hope it's good and i hope people like it, but I i just I don't know. This just isn't doing it for me. but The The climbing looked just like Uncharted. The gunplay looked just like Uncharted. The hand-to-hand combat looked just like Uncharted. The hand-to-hand combat was the most Uncharted. like You could literally put a Nathan Drake skin over that, and I would i would be like, oh, shit, Uncharted 5, really?
01:14:31
Speaker
Cool. And so you're in the set pieces. like You're in like the tropical kind of area. and It straight up looks like this part from Uncharted where you're going through like the pirate ship like stuff. like Yeah, it looks it was a little...
01:14:44
Speaker
it was uncharted first light kind of and yeah i don't know i hope it's good i hope people like it comes out in may uh i'll keep my eyes on it just because i'm curious about it but i'm not really i don't have too much hype for it but next up Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Volume 2.

Metal Gear Solid 4 Release Debate

01:15:07
Speaker
i Metal Gear Solid 4 has been freed from its PS3 prison. And i'm very I've been saying this for a while, especially, like I said before, After playing Death Stranding, I'm so interested in the Metal Gear Solid universe, but I've tried playing the first game so many times, and i like I've ah legitimately tried it over the years to play it again. Like, maybe I'll get it this time. Maybe I'll get it this time.
01:15:33
Speaker
But the controls for that first game are so bad that I'm like, I can't do this. So some people are like, just watch a recap and go into two. And so I kind of want to do that. But I also kind of want to just go to straight to Death Eater, or Death Eater, ah Snake Eater, whatever, Delta. Metal Gear Solid 3, yeah.
01:15:51
Speaker
Yes, because that's kind of where they're starting with the reboot. So I'm kind of like, do I just want to go the trilogy? It's like the timeline order, yeah. Yeah, so I'm i'm debating what I want to do. i kind of want to start with two and play the older ones or that collection that came out. But I also kind of want to start with three because if they're going to remake them all, then maybe I just want to go three and then go from there. with newer controls so i i don't know what i want to do but because i know four people love even though i know a lot of complaints for that it's mostly cut scenes which was is kind of not i mean final fantasy now but yeah i don't know but i'm i'm so interested in this world that i want to play it but uh metal gear and this uh collection in general what did you think Well, Metal Gear Solid 4 is my favorite Metal Gear game, and I know that's a very like contentious take. I freaking love this game. i think they I think the gameplay is super fun in the game. I think the cutscenes were freaking awesome, too. It's very peak Kojima. um
01:16:51
Speaker
this was This game till today I still think this looks amazing on PS3. I can't believe that this was running on 2008 on PlayStation 3, like one of those fat PS3s. I love the whole kookiness of everything. it it read This is like the...
01:17:06
Speaker
very classic anime trope, uh, like metal gear. Um, for those who have not played it, there's a scene at the end of the, I mean, for those who played it, you know, I'm talking about the scene at the end of the game with snake in the, uh, in the hall.
01:17:18
Speaker
Um, Yeah, you'll know what I'm talking about. But the thing I'm kind of disappointed about, this has also has Peace Walker, but I really was hoping they would have done Twin Snakes with it too, which that is the way to play Metal Gear Solid 1. If you like to play it modernly is to play Twin Snakes, which is the GameCube remake of Metal Gear Solid 1. I would say, yeah, I really wish that they released that too, but there's some type a Nintendo thing on there.
01:17:44
Speaker
that they can't do that. Um, but like metal gear, solid four, super fun. It's one of the first times I saw like an escort mission in metal gear solid as well, or like a tailing mission, but you had a tailor guy that's like an entire act. Uh, when you go to act four, act four is a super surprise. It's a throwback. And I remember that blew my mind back in 2008. So yeah, metal gear, solid four. I'm really excited to replay it again. Finally.
01:18:05
Speaker
Um, and play it with trophies. Yeah. And they also announced that they're updating the first collection with like better graphics or something like that. Like they're upping the graphics. Yeah. They updated it. That already came out.
01:18:19
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. And so they did that. And um I believe Metal Gear Solid 3, the Delta one is I think 50% off right now. So I was actually thinking I completely forgot about that until ah were just talking about it. Now that I think I need to, um I might go buy that one. I'm,
01:18:36
Speaker
I just, yeah, I want to get into this universe. I just don't know how to. It's so confusing. And the fact that they said, they said, I was looking at this. They said the second collection multiple times, which makes me think that they're going have a third collection at some point with maybe like Revengeance or because I always wanted to play that one because it looked cool. But yeah, I'm thinking they'll probably have another collection. And yeah, I don't know.
01:18:59
Speaker
so I don't know if i do the collection. I don't know if I fucking play the the re the remakes. I don't know what to do. but Because I really want to get into this universe. So anyone, please, in the comments below, tell us. Tell me, how do I play Metal Gear Solid? Because I really play.
01:19:15
Speaker
One, two, three.
01:19:18
Speaker
I just... I might have to just watch something on one, though. Because, again, I've tried playing it so many times, and those graphics are just not good. Or not graphics. The the controls are not good. We'll see. We'll see. We'll see how you fare. We'll see how you fare.
01:19:31
Speaker
well Yeah. We'll we we'll see. Because, yeah, this world is so cool. And obviously, I love Death Stranding so much that I'm like, I got to see the Kojima weirdness. I got to. It looks

Darwin's Paradox Discussion

01:19:40
Speaker
awesome. And Peace Walker is actually really fun as well. It's the PS3 version of Peace Walker. It's a really fun game.
01:19:45
Speaker
Nice. That is where, like, Metal Gear Solid at five really gets a lot of it from Peace Walker. Yeah. And I've always heard Metal Gear Solid 5 is awesome. So I kind of want to want to play that one eventually too because it looks sweet. But um also this led into some gameplay for Darwin's Paradox, which I know we've seen before. It's that weird squid game platformer. Not squid game, the Netflix show. like your You play as a squid and you...
01:20:13
Speaker
crawl around and stuff i know we talked about it before because we said like it looks interesting and as a platformer like it the gameplay mechanics look cool of like you kind of you know you're a squid you can uh camouflage yourself you crawl on walls and ceilings and stuff because your little suction cup tentacles or whatever and so it looks interesting but at the same time it looks weird and i don't know if i'll ever play it but What do you think of Darwin's paradox? I think this looks super cool. I think it's a cool 2d platform. There's going some puzzles. It reminds me of like limbo or inside, but like a little bit more lighthearted, I think. Cause you're going a lighthearted for sure. I think this is so cool too. They have like a crossover with metal gear in here, which is kind of cool.
01:20:55
Speaker
Um, yeah, I'm excited for this. I think the puzzles going to be fantastic. I think this game is going to so much humor in it too. Like when you die, i think there's going to be some crazy, like these crazy animations when you die, similar to like, like um, little big planet when you like explode a sack boy.
01:21:14
Speaker
Yeah, I'm excited for it. Yeah. Dude, i i I don't know why I keep forgetting that I played all the Sackboy game the other week year. Sackboy's so good. Yeah, it was great, but I keep forgetting like that I played it for some reason. But when I remember it, I'm like, oh, yeah, that was a great game. But, yeah, I don't know. This is one of those where i can also see it going into PS Plus eventually, and I'm playing it that way. But it's not going to be one that I kind of go out of my way to play, i don't think. So, yeah.
01:21:42
Speaker
Um, next up is Castlevania Belmont's curse. I did go back and watch Collins of last and media's response to this because I knew i had to because he's Mr. Castlevania. So I wanted to see what he thought. And of course, he's super excited. Before i get i don't have too much to say about this. I've never played a Castlevania game. But the only thing I will say is I don't really like the art style. I don't like like a polished anime looking side scroller. I prefer pixel art when it comes to games like this, whether it's like a 2D HD or just 2D pixel art. That's kind of how I like side scrolling games like this.
01:22:22
Speaker
Even though orie is like the one exception, I really love how Ori looks. It might be a cell shading in this game. I don't know what it is, but something about the art I'm not huge on. But what do you think of this?
01:22:33
Speaker
think it looks awesome. I really need to play a Castlevania game. This looks just like the Dead Cells. This looks just like Dead Cells, which is, you know, Dead Cells did like the Castlevania crossover. I really freaking love Dead Cells too. um i'm actually really excited for this i need to play a castlevania game but i think i might just hop in with this game you're playing as a new belmont too like we've never seen this character it's not you know we've never seen this person before so i'm excited um i've heard nothing but great things about castlevania and after playing dead cells i'm like i need to play like an actual castlevania game and i know there's so many good ones symphony of the night and like the original castlevania one through three um but yeah i'm excited for it it looks i think it looks awesome
01:23:11
Speaker
Yeah, 2026. Yeah, the gameplay looks good. It's just, I don't know, it's something about art style that I'm not huge on, but I'm not saying it's bad. It's just, I prefer like the pixel art looking side scrollers, but that's just that's just me. it's ah It's a tiny nitpick.
01:23:25
Speaker
But next up, this one I did not at all expect, and that is Silent Hill

Silent Hill Townfall Interest

01:23:32
Speaker
Townfall. did not get it. When you're watching it, like literally right as it started, my initial thought even before we got to the town where it's foggy, I was like, this looks like Silent Hill because he picks up like the little radio TV thing and he's looking at it. I'm like Because in Silent Hill 2, you have the radio to let you know if there's an enemy nearby. So that I was instantly like, is this Silent Hill? But I was kind of iffy because then also when it showed gameplay, it switches to first person. I'm like, well, Silent Hill is a third person game. So like maybe not. Maybe it's a new thing. But then it also said Annapurna. And I was just like, okay, well, they's they don't do Silent Hill. So what is going But then, yeah, it's Silent Hill game. um I played two and Silent Hill F last year, the first Silent Hill games I've ever played. They're both all right, not amazing by any stretch, but they're good.
01:24:19
Speaker
So I'm very excited. I'm very interested in this one because with it being first person, it was giving me kind of, you know, a little bit of RE7 vibes, RE8. So I'm kind of, I'm intrigued. I hope it's good. I don't know. We'll have to see more on it, but it definitely, definitely ah intrigued me to check it out and like kind of wait more for what's going on. But what'd you think of Sion Hill Townfall?
01:24:45
Speaker
We got a Resident Evil and then we got Silent Hill. Same state of play. um It's pretty cool. I have a friend who played Silent Hill for the first time and he says it's better than Resident Evil. He thinks it's, he's like, and he's a huge Resident Evil fan. He thinks Silent is better. I strongly disagree, but. I'm just saying, that was out his opinion. um So he was really excited for it, um I'm assuming. um It looks pretty cool. I like how you get that part in the trailer where there's all all that propaganda signs up. That looks pretty cool.
01:25:11
Speaker
um Yeah, he said first person mode. It's going to be interesting. um I've never played a Silent Hill game. I do want to play Silent Hill to remake. I definitely want to. Yeah, um and we see. um Yeah, it's gonna be gonna be interesting.
01:25:26
Speaker
Yeah. I mean, really my only complaint with silent on Hill two is that it's too long. It's, it's about five hours too long. Uh, I don't think, so I don't think horror games should be over 10 hours. And I think that game was about 12 to 15 hours and you can feel it at, at some point. So, um, but yeah, I'm, I'm very interested in learning more about this game. I hope it's good. it looks, like I said, it looks good. I just think silent Hill is a little overrated. It's not bad. I just think it's overrated.
01:25:56
Speaker
Um, Yeah, I like I like to better than FF, the acting and like the music and all that was incredible. It's just I wasn't huge on it. It was it was good, though. But yeah, I'm not I'm not like I'm not trying to be down on Silent Hill. I just I think it's slightly overrated, but that's just me. Um, next up is a another Konami game called Rev Noir. I don't have really anything to say about this because it's doesn't seem to be my vibe of game. But what did you think of this one, Sean?
01:26:28
Speaker
Interesting. I like the art. It's much more. It's kind of up my alley. Um, know, I it it screams to me. it kind of looks like a Legends game, like a like a mana game, like the art style. um It looks interesting. It's Konami, so you know we got a lot of Konami here. We didn't get a lot of like gameplay, gameplay look of it. It looked more just like a cinematic trailer. we got a little bit, but nothing crazy.
01:26:57
Speaker
Yeah. i um I will say, though, I love the logo. like The Comet's kind of in the logo. I really love the look at that logo. It just says Wishlist. doesn't have a date, so who knows? Yeah.
01:27:11
Speaker
Yeah, it was... don't know. It looked interesting, but at the same time... i need to see I like that it is an action game. It's not like a super RPG game, which obviously... I mean, obviously I like RPGs, but I prefer an action-adventure game. But I don't know. i it's It's interesting. This is one of those, like, if it comes out and has like amazing ratings, who knows? i could I could maybe step into it one day. But from this trailer, I was like, I don't know. It just looks kind of like another anime game to me, and we'll see. But
01:27:42
Speaker
it's It's only wish list right now. It's not, there's no dates, no year, nothing. So we'll have to, fa we'll have to, I'll have to wait on this one to really, really get my feeling

John Wick Game Curiosity

01:27:52
Speaker
for it. So um next up was a big surprise. Did not expect this. We got a John wick game.
01:28:02
Speaker
They only showed very brief snippets of gameplay. it was really just kind of a a tone setter of him getting his his suit fitted and everything. I'm assuming this takes place while he was still the Baba Yaga hitman. I don't think he this is I mean he looks young in it too. So I think it's a young a young John Wick when he was in a peak assassin uh mode but i'm curious as to what it is because when they show the gameplay it's very close up looks kind of scripted action so i don't know what it is i hope it's not like a qte game or something like that would be not bad but that would be really bad yeah i'm curious because it's again it's just a wish list there's no i don't even know it says untitled john wick game so amy yeah yeah yeah so it's just like because it's just a john wick so i don't know what it's going to called what it is but
01:28:53
Speaker
I'm interested because I love these movies. All five of them are very good. Some are better than others, but i love that universe. So I'm very curious as to what this is, but with it being more of a tone setter, it's more of like me being excited. Like, Ooh, I'm, I'm excited to learn more about this game more than I'm excited for this game. So, cause it's obviously, it's probably a couple of years out if I had guess. So, What you think of this? do Do you have any reverence for John Wick? I saw the movies for the first time last year and i thought they were f freaking awesome. i thought they were crazy. yeah But i i was shocked we actually saw it. like We got like this little game. we didn't really see much. Like you said, it's more of just like a trailer, cinematic trailer, for like an announcement trailer. If it's a QTE e game, that's going to be terrible. I could also... oh my god this screams to me like if this was two years ago, this would be like a VR game.
01:29:43
Speaker
Oh my Yeah. Like you're John Wick in VR. I was thinking at best, like a Sifu type game. Cause that's kind of, cause that's what I think would work really well in the world with John Wick. Cause you said you've seen the movie. So that's really how that combat feels.
01:30:00
Speaker
So that's what I could, I would it at best. That's what I'd think. But i actually, I called this one immediately. I was like, this is John Wick. Like, cause I've seen those. I've seen each movie multiple times. I love those movies, even though I think the expanded lore, it gets a little kind of weird, but. uh i yeah i'm i called it immediately i remember sitting there i was like really i'm like yeah it's john wick but uh yeah i don't know i'm excited to learn more but yeah we definitely need to see more of this before i'm gonna be like oh can't wait for that john wick game to come out because yeah we'll have to see what the combat looks like because we didn't really get anything so we'll figure it out i guess or we'll see more
01:30:39
Speaker
um Next up is a game that's very divisive on if people are excited for, and that is

Marathon by Bungie

01:30:46
Speaker
Marathon. ah There is a, i believe, an open beta or like open server stress, whatever they're called. Yeah. ah Coming up. So i I don't know. It's an extraction shooter, which I'm not big on.
01:31:04
Speaker
But Bungie gameplay is so good that I want to play it and I want to enjoy it. And I love the art style, you know, when it's not being stolen from other graphic designers. my God.
01:31:17
Speaker
Like, I love the look of it. I'm sure the gameplay great, but if it has like this stress test thing at the end of the year, because it or end year and in the month, because the game launches March 5th, so it's coming out in less than a month. And so if the stress testing is free, if it's not like a preorder bonus or whatever, I'll hop in just to see.
01:31:37
Speaker
But I just I don't see this game grabbing me and being like my next obsession. So I don't know. I'm interested, but I really don't have any hype for this. Obviously, this is not your kind of game. But what did you think of Marathon? I mean, Bungie makes some great shooters. They make some the great gameplay, obviously, with the original Halo trilogy, as we talked about. And plus, you know, Destiny plays really smoothly and plays really well. But again, this is not for me. um People have been pretty positive that have played it. Like there was a lot of negativity around the game, but then people who played it said, no, it actually, it feels really good. Again, it is very interesting though, that they are releasing Ghost of Tsushima Legends right around the same release date. That's like the crazy part. yeah So I don't know. We got to wait and see.
01:32:24
Speaker
I hope it does well though. I really do because, you know, I think people are sick of destiny and, Bungie needs to deliver deliver something that people actually are going to continuously play and not just bag on.
01:32:37
Speaker
Yeah, exactly. Yeah. I hope it's

Spider-Man 2 on PS Plus

01:32:40
Speaker
good. Like I'm looking, yeah. I'm watching the trailer and yeah, the artistic like look of this game. I love it, but yeah, I don't know. I'm to to, I'll, if it, if it is a free open stress test thing, I will hop in and check it out. But ah yeah, I don't know if it'll grab me to keep me around, but we'll see, I guess.
01:33:00
Speaker
Um... Yeah, after this, we got a very quick thing of an update of everything coming to PS Plus. I only want to bring this up because Spider-Man 2 is being added. I haven't played it. I'm i' excited that I can finally play it. I just never got around to buying it. A lot of people were saying I'll hate it, which I i understand why. i know the plot points of why they think I won't like it. But the gameplay of the first one and Miles Morales are so good that I just know I'm going to love the gameplay. And that's really what I want to play it for. because that the feeling of swinging around that city is so fun. I love it so much. So I'm very excited to play Spider-Man two.
01:33:40
Speaker
And I like the first one I love so much. I earned the platinum of the original and the remaster. I earned the platinum twice. I love that game. I have the miles miles platinum. I'll probably go for this one if it doesn't have any missables, because I hate missables, but if it's, if it's a more simple platinum, I'll definitely go for it. But Yeah, I'm excited to finally play this game, and I hope I i hope i don't hate it. so But we'll see.
01:34:04
Speaker
ah What about you? You played Spider-Man 2, didn't you? Yeah, I loved it. I thought i thought it was um better than the first one, to be honest. But, I mean, yeah, the the plot's a little weaker, but I think the gameplay makes up for and I think the side quests are pretty good. But we're also getting the PlayStation Plus. We're getting Tekken, this Tekken PS3-era Tekken game. Yeah. um We're getting the original Time Crisis.
01:34:29
Speaker
Yeah, that made me laugh. yeah i was like, I joked, i was like, can I use my Duck Hunt controller on it? I use my gun that I got with Time Crisis 3 for Time Crisis 4 for PS3. That would be cool. yeah um So yeah, I mean, I think those who have not played Spider-Man should definitely play it. it's super fun. it's It's actually a really good game.
01:34:50
Speaker
Yeah, and then lastly in this was also this game. What's it called? Like Big Life or Yeah, it's like Big Life or something. It looked like like it was like these. It reminded me of like, um
01:35:04
Speaker
not like Pikmin, but like. There was this one game on PlayStation, because I remember you could get the Astrobots, and it looks just like those guys. I can't think of what that game was called, though.
01:35:16
Speaker
So this is Big Walk. Yeah, Big Walk. Um, yeah, I can't remember what it was called, but there was like these little Astro Bot little guys and they look just like them. I got to see if I could find it. oh it's the same people who made Untitled Goose Game.
01:35:31
Speaker
Okay. Oh, really? Yeah. Let me see. i I can't find it. It's been popping up with my description. Um...
01:35:44
Speaker
But yeah, it looks it looks like these characters from like, i think it was like an old PSP game or something. But yeah, i don't know. This game, it looked goofy. ah And I could see it being like a really fun game to play with your friends. But at the same time, it looks like one of those games where me and my friends would play for one weekend, think it's hilarious, and then just never play it again. Yeah.
01:36:04
Speaker
It's not one that I'd be constantly putting time into, but... Who knows? I don't know. Maybe this game will be like the next kind of like Among Us Fall Guys where it sticks around, has a huge like meme culture for a while, but then ends up just kind of, you know, falling apart or not. yeah Way after a while. But I don't know. I don't want to be down on it because it looks goofy. It's just one of those where it's like yeah, I could see myself trying it, thinking it's funny, but then just never playing it again. So.
01:36:34
Speaker
um Next up was another look at Saros, which is honestly another one i don't need to see any more of. They're showing too much. Yeah. i I do like that they you know kind of let people know like it is a game where you can progress. Like it's just to let the casuals, I guess, know that, um, I'm interested. I do have returnal because I think I either got it with PS plus or it's just in the catalog. And I've actually, I have it installed and I've debated playing it because I want to try Cause obviously I love Hades. So I know I'm not completely adverse adverse to, uh, um,
01:37:10
Speaker
roguelike games so i'm very interested and this game does look gorgeous like it looks like it's ah and it looks fun but it's just one of those i'll have to play returnal and if i get so frustrated and don't want to keep dying and you know failing then i might fall off but i do want to try it but this won't be a day one for me but maybe eventually it'll be a game i hop into if it's on ps close or something but what do you think of uh what do you think of sorrows I've heard such good things about Returnal. Like, I need to play it. Saros looks awesome gameplay-wise. I'm sure it's going to be nothing but spectacular from a gameplay perspective. I don't think we need to see any more of it. It's coming out within a few months, and I have feeling we're going get a dedicated, like, 20-minute stay-to-play for it, probably. One of those things. That's great. Yeah, I won't be surprised. That streams PlayStation. They're going to that. um I definitely want to try Returnal before this comes out, though. I've heard nothing but good things about it, so...
01:38:03
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. I mean, yeah yeah, it looks like very fluid gameplay, which is good. Like it never looks like, like a chunky game. April 30th when comes out. I knew Yeah. I had a feeling it was pretty soon, but yeah, I don't know. it It definitely looks, it looks entertaining, but yeah, I've never played Returnal. So maybe one day, but also did find it funny that the pre-order you get armor from, is it? Death Stranding.
01:38:31
Speaker
i don't know what that one is. And then you get Onryo armor, so obviously Yotei, and then Midgard, so you get God War armor. So i don't know what the second one is. I can't tell, but I don't know. Astra? What would it be Astra be?
01:38:45
Speaker
I don't know. But anyway, next up is Marvel Tokan Fighting Souls. Did this game come out, and is this like an addition to it, or is it still not out yet? No, it's not out yet. It's coming out. yet,
01:38:59
Speaker
Oh, so they're just adding more. They're just saying what other characters are going to be in it that I'm guessing. Or is it like a yeah battle? they're at there It's about extra characters they're adding. Okay. Yeah. I just find it weird that it's like, it's a Marvel game where usually they show all like the obvious characters first. So obviously Wolverine and I think storm were announced, but then there's like this blue tentacle hair lady danger.

I've never heard of that character. I like comic books and I've never heard of this character. Like, so I don't know what, who that is. It seems like a very random addition of a character, but i don't know. Again, I'm not a big fighting game person, so I like the anime Marvel look, but I'm never going to play this. but What'd you, what'd you think of this?
01:39:48
Speaker
I think it looks cool. It looks good, but like I would rather prefer... like I'm not a fighting game person, but like I'm sure all the Marvel fans would prefer like Marvel vs. Capcom. Like a traditional new Marvel vs. Capcom game. But it looks really good, and I'm mix i'm interested because some of these characters, like I had never heard of before.
01:40:04
Speaker
so yeah Captain America looks cool, though. Yeah. it did yeah and I like the the... I think it's Robbie Reyes is his name, the ghostwriter character that they use, even though other the og ghost writers better but um yeah this comes out august i just i think i find it so weird how much they're pushing this game i mean i guess fighter games probably do good it's just we're not in that yeah i mean look at dragon ball z fighters that still gets updated Yeah, which I wanted to love that game so much, but I'm just not going to. I'm so bad at it. So bad at it. Yeah.
01:40:36
Speaker
I tried it. i was I wanted to play it so badly because it looks so good. But I still want to play ah Sparking Zero at some point. It's really I mean, I platinumed it. It was good. it was fun. It was much more like Budokai Tenkaichi.
01:40:49
Speaker
Not really a fighting game. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, granted, OG Budokais will always be my favorite. but Yeah. Yeah. Um, but yeah, so this game, i hope it's good. it's It's just weird that they closed the show with it and almost closed it

God of War Trilogy Remake

01:41:02
Speaker
with this one. But then obviously after this, they did close out with first, which got me so hyped was the announcement of the God of War trilogy remake. I know you didn't play them. You went straight to 2018, right? correct So are you going to be hopping into this when it comes out? Oh, oh yeah, I'm really excited. I'm so excited to see where they take cause this game probably 2028. I'm going to guess maybe. you Yeah, because it was they did. i was so bummed that they did the Ragnarok reveal of literally just showing the logo. And that's it. I was like, come on, really?
01:41:33
Speaker
What I'm really curious about is if they design Kratos after what he looks like in the 2018 Kratos. They make him look like that. I'm really curious to see what kind of story changes they make. Obviously, we had the quick time events back in the day where you're in the hot tub with the girls. That's definitely not going to be in that again. Also, curious about who's doing this game. There was no mention of a studio. Is Santa Monica doing it themselves? It did say Santa Monica at the start of the life. Yes, but it says Santa Monica, but anytime there's a remake, they're going show the old logo too. Because if you look at Demon's Souls remake, which was done by Bluepoint, they had the Firmsoft logo in there.
01:42:19
Speaker
Oh, yeah, I don't know. maybe a mean Maybe they have like a side team that's doing it. Yeah, so I'll be really curious to see what they do with this. I'm interested to see what direction they take. care of Will it all, and I know you said God of War trilogy remake. Is it all going to be one game? Are we going get the Final Fantasy VII remake treatment?
01:42:36
Speaker
See, I know that's what I was curious because, yeah, remake has a completely different meaning now after Final Fantasy VII. Because if they had said remastered, would have thought, okay, they're just going up-res the OGs. But now that it's remake, I'm like, are they going to make it in the 2018 style where it's but you know more to the ground behind over the shoulder or is it going to stick to the original where it's from up above kind of look and i kind of hope that it's that with maybe just a little bit of quality of life because i love those original games so much like i love 2018 ragnarok but the original trilogy is so much better to me just because i love the gameplay that i mean again the the first one believe had in my top 10, if not my top like 15, I can't remember where I exactly, but the original God war game is so good. I love that game so much that I'm very curious because I would, I'll, I will love it if it's just kind of ah an up-res quality of life version of the first one. And I'm sure I'll love it if they do completely redo how it's plays, as long as that story stays intact, because that story is so, so, so good.
01:43:45
Speaker
that that's That's all I want. i I'm just curious as to what they will do. I think i think it will be more in the sense of... i mean, because like technically Kingdom Hearts 1.5 was a remake because they had to completely rebuild the game. Yeah, so that's technically a remake. So maybe it'll be a remake in that style.
01:44:08
Speaker
I mean, obviously better graphics though because they did they kept 1.5 to look like how it used to. But... um So I really do kind of hope that it is just the original, but with better graphics, because that's that's really all I need. But i mean I'm i am curious what they're going do with this. But yeah, that trilogy is so special. I cannot wait, especially for you to to experience it for the first time. it's It's so good. And you'll understand what I mean when I say that that moment in 2018 is so much more impactful after playing these games. I'm sure it would be, yeah.
01:44:41
Speaker
Yeah. So yeah, I'm, I'm very excited, but then i was just bummed. And then they had their original voice actor come out. Dude seems pretty chill. And I guess, so, I mean, also he, that means he's rerecording his lines probably, which means, yeah, what are they going to change? So I don't know. We'll see. Maybe though, maybe they'll make him less angry. Cause that was the complaint everyone had of Kratos in the original trilogy is he's very, just an angry man. Who's not good to anyone. yeah Whereas in God War, obviously he's kind of a disgruntled old man, but he does start having a little bit more feeling in the 2018 games. So who knows what they'll do with him in the OGs, but...
01:45:18
Speaker
um Next up was Sons of Sparta, this 2D pixel art side-scroller game, ah which they shadow-dropped, which no one expected. That was awesome. Though, I will say, is it it much as it excited me to have more God of War, I honestly wasn't that huge on the art style.
01:45:42
Speaker
Oh, yeah I see. think the art style was awesome. Really? Because i' like i will like I like the... It's like the character designs. The pixels, it was pixelated, but the pixels were so fine that it almost felt mobile game to me. like I feel like if the pixel had just been a little more blocky, have looked better to me. But I'm not saying it looks bad by any stretch, of course. But I just... I was hoping... i also was hoping for a little more than just playing as a kid Kratos. I was hoping for it would be kind of across his life, but... It looks it looks good. It looks fun. i just When someone said it was $30, I was like, don't know if it's $30 good to me. I would have probably dropped $20 on it. I don't know why. Just $30 just seems... I don't know. It just turned me off from it. But I don't know. Maybe I'll still play it. We'll still have to get you know kind of feelings from other people because no one obviously just came out so and there was no review period. So I kind of want to hear more about it, what people say. But I'm interested, but
01:46:43
Speaker
The Shadow Drop and the the original trilogy excited me more than actually seeing this game in play.

Sons of Sparta Shadow-Drop

01:46:50
Speaker
So I don't know. what what So you like the art style. What else did you really like the art style. It reminds me of an early PS1 platformer slash like a late Genesis game. That's what kind of looks like to me, like a 32-bit, not like the 16, not 64. Yeah. for I think it's really cool. Kratos is running around with a spear. I love those 2d games like that platforming beat them up. again It again, this is like a, not Castlevania, but it it reminds me of Castlevania. It reminds me of dead cells. So I am pretty excited. I am going pick this up and play it. So I'll probably be playing it by next episode. Um,
01:47:24
Speaker
I love that it was Shadow Drop. I love when they do that. And it's available today. i think $30 is fair. That's just me, though. But yeah, yeah I'm excited for it. i am very excited to report back. Yeah. yeah i love you know king with god i am interested.
01:47:40
Speaker
what sir i love ending with god of war Oh, I know. Yeah. I mean, I'm happy though that I feel like it would have been a fairly weak ending is excited as I am for that trilogy remake. If they ended with just that, it would have been like, Ooh, really? That's kind of, but having this and then shadow dropping it, that definitely was like, okay, we're back. So, but yeah. i um Yeah. So again, overall amazing state of play some games. Yeah. Not really for me. Some looking just kind of all right, but Overall, fantastic show. I am so excited for what's coming this year because almost all these games, there are a handful that arent weren't dated. or were ah I think only one was actually said it was 2027 and then a couple that didn't have dates. But most of these games are 2026. So this year is looking so good, which is like the fact that we've had like four years in a row of incredible years. It's it's getting a little much, guys. Got to slow down. I got games catch up
01:48:38
Speaker
ah So, um but really quickly, you don't have to rank them or anything, but like, what are the three games that stuck out to you most

Favorites from State of Play

01:48:47
Speaker
out of this? If you got an idea.
01:48:50
Speaker
Three games that stuck out the most to me. I'm going to go with no particular order. No particular order. Yeah, no no order. but Mina the Hollower, obviously. God of War, Son of Sparta.
01:49:02
Speaker
And I'm going to go with Brigadine Abyss. okay If I didn't include Meena the Hall or because again, we've seen so much of it already. yeah um I'd probably go with Castlevania Belmont's Curse.
01:49:17
Speaker
Okay. What about you? Yeah, I think I got to go Kena. Obviously, that one took the show for me, even though that opened. I got to say God of War Trilogy just because i even though we didn't see anything of it, it excited me so much because I love those games so much. And then I'm not going to go with Control because obviously everyone knows I'm excited for that. ah Star Wars Galactic Gracer had to be the other one. I'm so, so excited for that. But... uh yeah there are so many games in here that at the very least intrigued me uh but yeah there's probably of um at least six that i will play so i'm yeah this was a fantastic show i loved it and i'm so happy that 2026 is gonna be a great gaming year so oh yeah i'm very excited for this but ah That's really all I got to say about this. oh If you have anything else you want to say about the show, otherwise we can wrap her up and get on out of here. Overall, phenomenal show. Super happy. Super excited. great distraction for both me and my dad.
01:50:17
Speaker
So, yeah yeah. Super hyped. Yeah, definitely. oh my I'm looking at the the in the in the ah like the bio or whatever of the video. They tried hashtagging everything, but they only hashtag the first word of every game. That's even great. That's great.
01:50:34
Speaker
So it's like turn fired. Yes, it says hashtag ghost and then of Yotei legends. Hashtag death stranding two and then hashtag resident evil requiem. Good job there, guys. Messing up a little bit, but anyway, yeah, that was a fantastic show. um I'm happy that we were able to record and do this. I'm so happy that our podcast is going to go weekly.
01:50:56
Speaker
ah I've been loving, obviously doing the show with you and midnight who again could be here, but yeah, this has been a lot of fun. Great show. Can't wait to talk more video games with you, but that's all I got for this week. So until next week, I am Steve is always joined by Sean Mason saying goodbye.
01:51:16
