I created the Holiday Tips series for ambitious high achieving women trying to juggle everything this holiday season -- closing out the fiscal year at work, coordinating holiday events, hosting, cooking, cleaning, communicating, shopping, wrapping. The mental load is extra heavy this time of year, and I'm hopeful these holiday tips will help make things a little lighter for you.

Hi everyone, Coach Leanna, the Executive Coach for Moms here with another holiday tip. And today's is pretty simple.

Defining Your Holiday Presence

Today, what I want to ask you is for you to ask yourself, how do I want to show up this holiday season and get very clear on that. And then however that is for you, and it's going to be different for all of us and there's no right or wrong answer. It's just what is true for me.

Using Vision as a Decision Guide

Then anytime something comes up or there's a new offer available, a new way to spend your time, a new event to go to, another thing to do, you just ask yourself, is this going to help me show up the way I want to show up or is this going to take away from that?

And it gives you a really good litmus test, you know? Like, am I feeling like I have enough energy to add one more thing to the calendar? Is that going to help me to show up however it is that I've decided I want to show up?
00:01:01
Speaker
Or is that going to take away too much energy so I'm not going to do that thing? It's as simple as that. Decide how you want to show up and then say no to anything that doesn't align with that.
