In this episode of the EZ Conversations podcast, Rev. Cheryl Kincaid shares her powerful journey navigating religious trauma, addiction in her family, and her path to finding faith and purpose. She discusses the intersection of religious practice and personal healing, offering insights into the importance of therapy, forgiveness, and boundary setting. Cheryl also delves into her work as a Christian minister and author, advocating for women who have experienced abuse. Throughout the conversation, Cheryl provides valuable lessons in sanctification, the balance between maintaining faith amidst personal trauma, and the empowerment in recovery.

Reverend Cheryl Kincaid is a Presbyterian Minister who studied Marriage and Family Therapy at Bethel and has a Master of Divinity from San Francisco Theological Seminary. She has also facilitated support groups for women who have suffered abuse for seven years and worked in group homes. Rev. Kincaid is now celebrating twenty years in pulpit ministry. She seeks to tell the story of God’s comforting redemptive grace in an imperfect world.

Rev. Cheryl Kincaid has twenty years of experience in Christian ministry, and she confesses that many of her stories were inspired by witnessing God’s redemptive grace unfold in wounded Christians’ lives, including her own. She has authored six books: Hearing the Gospel Through Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol, The Little Clay Pot, The Little Candle that Was Frightened of the Dark, Karrie’s Thorn and A Forgotten Door Called Home.
