The Squeaky Chair Dilemma
00:00:04
Todd
Hey, the chair doesn't squeak. All right, look at that.
00:00:06
Talkin2Todd
How about that?
00:00:07
Todd
Wow, look at this. And they say they say after six years you can't improve.
00:00:15
Talkin2Todd
Levels, levels.
AI Coffee Bar Antics in Stockholm
00:00:20
Todd
Hey, did you hear about that coffee bar in Stockholm that is being run by ai
00:00:26
Talkin2Todd
Is this the new version of a priest and a rabbi walk into a bar?
00:00:30
Todd
No, no, no, no. I mean, that's kind of funny, actually. me Maybe it should be. No, this is this is actually this is a real thing that's actually happening.
00:00:39
Talkin2Todd
Is it, how's it, how's it going? Is this like the AI takes over the vending machine?
00:00:44
Todd
Yeah, pretty yeah we've we've seen this story before. It's it's not going great. it It has made a few curious choices. The AI ordered the coffee bar 120 eggs, even though they don't actually even have an oven to cook them in.
00:00:59
Talkin2Todd
Well, that's not ideal.
00:01:01
Todd
Well, worse yet, when they told the AI we don't have an oven, it then suggested baking them in the high speed Mary Chef oven.
00:01:09
Talkin2Todd
which solves the problem.
00:01:11
Todd
Right up until the point where the barista said, I can guarantee you they will explode.
00:01:17
Talkin2Todd
Hey, Yolk's on you.
00:01:19
Todd
Okay, going to ignore that. A customer also reported, quote, a pile of packages just arrived. It seems the cafe agent, the AI, ordered 3,000 nitrile gloves.
00:01:31
Todd
The guy running the bar told me this happens once per day.
00:01:37
Talkin2Todd
Who, would who wears the gloves in an AI cafe? Isn't, i mean, shouldn't everything be automatic? I don't even want to know where you put the glove on the computer.
00:01:47
Todd
Well, it it it still gets worse after that. After he said that, the staff then showed them the stock of toilet paper they have on hand. And even though the cafe gets about one visitor per hour, the AI also orders large amounts of toilet paper to be delivered every single day.
00:02:08
Talkin2Todd
Sounds like the AI is on a roll. Hi, toddlers.
Introducing 'Talking to Todd' with Humor
00:02:35
Talkin2Todd
Welcome to Talking to Todd. a Weekly podcast with Dwayne Johnson and Todd Prins, where failure is always an option. Thanks for joining us. Hey, Todd.
00:02:42
Todd
Dave, how's it going?
00:02:44
Talkin2Todd
Pretty good. Pretty good. How are you?
00:02:46
Todd
Not too bad. Not too bad. Do we issue the apology for that cold open now or do we wait until after the show or is that next week in follow-up?
00:02:58
Talkin2Todd
I don't know, maybe a little of both. Toddlers, I did not write that. I read it.
00:03:04
Todd
Here's the thing. Everybody's like, nah. No, that was all Dwayne. That has to be.
00:03:10
Todd
it sounded It sounded like Dwayne.
00:03:12
Talkin2Todd
It did sound like Dwayne.
00:03:13
Talkin2Todd
And after after six years of writing these things together, Todd can pretty much channel. Yes. Yeah. Oh, yeah. That sounds like something I would say. Yeah. that Yeah.
00:03:20
Todd
Yeah, what would what would Dwayne say here?
00:03:22
Todd
Dwayne goes, yeah hey, that's not that's not bad.
00:03:25
Talkin2Todd
That's not. Yeah. That tracks. Yeah. Yeah.
00:03:30
Talkin2Todd
Yeah. I was feeling a little flushed after I read that.
00:03:34
Todd
Not mine. Not mine, everyone. OK.
00:03:38
Talkin2Todd
Let's feedback, follow up and updates.
00:03:41
Todd
Yeah, what do we have?
00:03:43
Talkin2Todd
Okay. So from from toddler 3187, Sherry, hi.
Nike's Boston Marathon Ad Controversy
00:03:54
Talkin2Todd
the ad that Nike ran promoting
00:03:59
Todd
It was at the Boston Marathon.
00:04:02
Todd
on the course of the Boston Marathon. They took out a big ad to encourage people.
00:04:06
Talkin2Todd
Runners. Yes. Runners welcome. Walkers tolerate
00:04:11
Todd
What are they doing? what What are you doing? Not a good look for Nike.
00:04:18
Talkin2Todd
No, no. I mean, i dude apparently you can't walk in Nike. I golf in Nike shoes and I walk.
00:04:28
Talkin2Todd
And I get crap for walking, but I'm walking. I'm definitely not running in my Nike shoes.
00:04:33
Todd
Yeah, don't do that anymore. Well, they'll tolerate you. They'll take your money.
00:04:36
Talkin2Todd
Well, it's well, that sure.
00:04:36
Todd
They just won't like it.
00:04:41
Todd
Which is, which by the way, is a really strange thing because there is an entire, there is a, there's a method. by a gentleman who just recently passed away that basically said, if you want to do running, whether it's a 5K, 10K, half marathon, full marathon, whatever, he he devised a run-walk method where you don't just run until you have to walk.
00:05:05
Todd
you You run for 30 seconds and then you walk for 30 seconds. Then you run for 30 or 45 seconds or a minute or you know eventually gets. And what he found was actually people can go faster doing the run-walk method, especially as they're getting into running. And they feel better at the end because you don't exhaust yourself and then have to walk.
00:05:29
Todd
you You pace yourself and eventually you can do more running and less walking. But lots of people complete marathons, half marathons, 10K, 5Ks, by doing run, walk, or mostly walk. And it's fine. And then Nike's like, hey, we only want to talk to the real athletes here. Oh, great. That's the way to go. You wonder why they're losing the shoe wars. Because they're not doing well to against some of the other...
00:05:54
Todd
Yeah. You know what? well People aren't buying our stuff. You know what we should do Piss them off? Yeah, we should piss them off. That'll really raise our sales. Maybe they'll hate buy. I don't think that's the way this works. No, no, no. I'm pretty sure that's the way it works.
00:06:07
Talkin2Todd
i just I just want to say that if if this was a poster that was designed by Sherry, it would say, bikers welcome, e-bikers tolerated.
00:06:19
Todd
it was designed by Sherry, it would say, bikers welcome e-bikers not tolerated. but Just to be clear. like Actually, bikers tolerated, e-bikers left in the dust.
00:06:33
Talkin2Todd
Unless we're going uphill, at which point, bikers left in the dust.
00:06:36
Todd
No, no, no. still say I think i think so i think even with your even with your battery, I think Sherry could probably just walk away from you. Just uphill. Yeah.
00:06:45
Talkin2Todd
That would be a challenge. Until my battery runs out. That would be a challenge. i would be i would be interested in doing that.
00:06:55
Todd
Sherry, Sherry on her tri bike and you on your e-bike.
00:07:00
Todd
And then, and then we go along for a while and then we just go up a hill and see what happens.
00:07:03
Talkin2Todd
and see what happens. Yeah.
00:07:05
Todd
Yeah. All right. Well, I think a gauntlet has been thrown or yeah.
00:07:10
Talkin2Todd
Thump, thump.
00:07:13
Todd
All right. Any other, any other feedback?
00:07:18
Talkin2Todd
Well, I guess this is this is, I suppose this is both feedback and follow-up.
Baseball's 'Golden Pitch' Concept
00:07:24
Talkin2Todd
we You know how we've talked about the the pitch count equaling the speed of the pitch thing that we do at baseball games or when we're watching baseball games, we've had this conversation, right?
00:07:40
Talkin2Todd
you Remember this?
00:07:41
Todd
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And when we say we do, it's basically you and Greg.
00:07:45
Talkin2Todd
Yes. and And Sherry is adjacent, right?
00:07:51
Talkin2Todd
But now we've gotten Jake Hansen, we've gotten toddler Matt Damon involved in this, and he thinks this is a fabulous idea. to the point where he has now dubbed this the point where the pitch speed matches the pitch count, he has dubbed this the golden pitch.
00:08:13
Talkin2Todd
Because like when when the when their daughters turned 16 on the 16th, that was their golden birthday.
00:08:25
Talkin2Todd
So if your if your birthday is, like Lucas, January 16, and he the year he turned 16, he was 16 on the 16th, that's the golden birthday, right?
00:08:34
Talkin2Todd
So this is the golden pitch.
00:08:38
Todd
We got a ways to go. Okay.
00:08:44
Talkin2Todd
Here's the thing, though. Both Greg and Jake think that we need to introduce this to DraftKings.
00:08:54
Talkin2Todd
because this is a fantastic prop bet. Will Waka
00:09:00
Talkin2Todd
throw 85 on his 85th pitch tonight at the beginning of the game? What's the, what's the, you know, what's the bet at the beginning of the game before anybody has even pitched? Will he even make it to 85 pitches, right? Or the in-game betting when he gets close, when he gets to pitch 75 and then it starts, okay, will he, won't he, right? Or will he throw two the other night?
00:09:27
Talkin2Todd
the guy from the, guardians through back to back golden pitches in the Cubs game, the, the Cubs had one and the guardians had one.
00:09:43
Talkin2Todd
I mean, it is, this is just, so I'm like, okay, well, before we go to, DraftKings with this, we probably need some legal representation so that we can trademark this because, right?
00:09:58
Todd
Yep. Yeah, I was going to say, how are we going to make any money on this? It's not to be on volume.
00:10:00
Talkin2Todd
right It is going to be on volume, but I want 1% of all the bets
00:10:11
Todd
Yes, but we only get that if we trademark it and license it.
00:10:14
Talkin2Todd
if we trademark it, at which point you know who we need.
00:10:20
Talkin2Todd
We need the legal eagles.
00:10:23
Talkin2Todd
We are calling in the legal eagles.
Meta AI Glasses Privacy Concerns
00:10:31
Todd
Okay, so so a couple of things. And unfortunately, so one, the prop bets could be all sorts of ones, right?
00:10:41
Todd
Will there be a golden pitch? How many golden pitches?
00:10:46
Todd
But then you could pick which pitch becomes the golden pitch, right?
00:10:51
Todd
Right. However, we've done enough now with the with the prediction markets. I'm a little concerned that You're going somebody going out there on pitch 30, throwing an EFIS pitch.
00:11:10
Todd
Gets rocked for a home run that leaves, doesn't just leave the stadium. It leaves the area code. And the dude is celebrating because he had 10 grand on golden pitch, pitch number 30.
00:11:32
Talkin2Todd
yeah You know, I think, and maybe I'm wrong, but I think it's really hard to say, I'm going to throw this pitch 94 miles an hour not 93 and not 95.
00:11:45
Talkin2Todd
and not ninety-thre and not ninety-five
00:11:49
Todd
If you take about six miles an hour off of all of those, I would say don't have that discussion with Greg Maddox.
00:12:00
Talkin2Todd
Okay, yeah, that was okay. For most, for most pitchers, for most pitchers, sure, that's fair.
00:12:02
Todd
Most pictures. Yes. Yeah. Yeah.
00:12:06
Talkin2Todd
Sure, that's fair. But I know, I know of a guy who patented a very specific kind of horse race bet and is now a millionaire because of it.
00:12:17
Talkin2Todd
So it's, it's not like we couldn't do this thing. It's just that we need to get it down and get it, get it registered.
00:12:27
Talkin2Todd
Because if you remember the very first podcast that we ever did 18 18 years ago, 19 years ago, whenever the heck we did it, 2008, 2008, we dubbed it a Toddcast and then never trademarked that.
00:12:48
Talkin2Todd
Clearly it was.
00:12:53
Talkin2Todd
Okay, anyway, sounds like we've got some work to do, but thanks to Jake, and and I'm sure Jake and Greg are going to want to get in on this. We can all retire by the time we're done, hopefully.
00:13:05
Talkin2Todd
Or by the time it's done, we'll be ready to retire. suppose that could also be a way to go about it. Anyway, so that happened this week.
00:13:20
Talkin2Todd
there were There were a couple of fires that that fall into to follow up. I've talked about i've talked about Sigma Chi House.
00:13:30
Talkin2Todd
I got a text on Sunday night. Hey, the grill caught on fire and we emptied one of the fire extinguishers into it to put it out.
00:13:43
Talkin2Todd
So if it's...
00:13:43
Todd
think Fire extinguishers are cheap. Again, that's that's one that's one that's a Todd-ism.
00:13:48
Todd
Fire extinguishers are cheap.
00:13:51
Talkin2Todd
That's what they're there for. there's That's why there's one sitting by the back door where they grill. Yep. Not a problem. That's why it's there. Yep. Absolutely. Hey, if it's not too much trouble, could you swing by and pick it up and get it recharged for us?
00:14:03
Talkin2Todd
I'm like, yep, I can absolutely do that. By the way, there's a spare in the closet in the library. If you could just move that back into the hallway so that it's there and ready for you. Yep. Already done it.
00:14:13
Talkin2Todd
Thanks. Yep. Thanks, buddy.
00:14:15
Todd
that's That's funny because I thought what you going to say is second floor closet with the cleaning supplies. I know that none of you have ever seen this before. Second floor closet with the cleaning supplies. there is There is somewhere around 45 fire extinguishers.
00:14:31
Todd
Just pull another one out. We've assumed that this would happen. Now, I will say this. I was expecting a little bit more of this because this is a fraternity house. what I was expecting was this text, grill caught on fire, use the fire extinguisher to put it out.
00:14:51
Todd
Oh, and then you text back, oh, that's great. And then they say, yep, and the drapes were barely singed. And then you then you you pause and go, why were the drapes on fire?
00:15:06
Todd
And they said we were grilling in the living room. At which point they just see dot, dot, dot for like 25 minutes.
00:15:18
Todd
But I know you're not. right Should I be upset that the I mean, on one hand, the drapes are only singed.
00:15:29
Todd
So there's that. I was also concerned. The other thing that would have been great is fire. it's all out.
00:15:39
Todd
Good news. Sump pump is still okay. I think that would have...
00:15:45
Todd
Thanks. Thanks, guys.
00:15:47
Talkin2Todd
Thanks, guys. do you remember Do you remember the Steve Martin movie, Roxanne?
00:15:47
Todd
Way to check on everything.
00:15:54
Todd
Yes. Well, I saw it. I remember I know of it, and I know that I've seen it.
00:16:02
Talkin2Todd
At one point, he comes back into the fire station.
00:16:06
Talkin2Todd
And there's a fire going on in in the fire station in the barrel. And he grabs the extinguisher and then yells the up the pole, God damn it, we're supposed to put them out.
00:16:29
Todd
Okay, so you said fires. Okay, so one at the frat house. Totally expected. Got to be honest, I'm surprised you haven't reported. I lived in a frat house for two years. I'm surprised you haven't reported more fires.
00:16:41
Todd
Okay, please. But there was a second fire someplace.
'Book of Mormon' Fire Incident
00:16:44
Talkin2Todd
At the theater where Book of Mormon is performed. Did you see this?
00:16:50
Todd
Is not currently performing. Yes.
00:16:52
Talkin2Todd
They've been down for a couple of days. They're supposed to be back this week. I don't know whether that's really going to happen or not. At one point they said down indefinitely. And then I saw down on the 5th and the 6th. We'll see when they start performing again.
00:17:09
Talkin2Todd
But I mean... I was a little surprised that it took God this long to light the building on fire. Because I've seen this movie. I've seen this before.
00:17:23
Todd
our Our theater burned down. Hasadiga. No, just stop it.
00:17:28
Todd
this this is This is how we got into this situation. Please stop.
00:17:35
Todd
Yeah, i I did see that they said that it took them a bit to get to it because the fire was like in the electrical closet on the fourth floor and it took the firefighters some time to get there because of all the catwalks.
00:17:48
Todd
that they had to get to. So this was apparently a failure of the electrical system deep into the into the theater. and And those old buildings have an amazing amount of power running through them for all of the lights and everything. So yeah, yeah. So hopefully they'll there'll be back up and running.
00:18:06
Todd
Can you imagine if you had, if this had happened during the the two weeks where the original cast was performing and you're like, it turns out I've got tickets and they're both performed and they fire on the street, do it on the street. I don't care. Just come out in front.
00:18:24
Talkin2Todd
Yep, those we'll just all sit on the steps in the the red the red steps there in Times Square and you just perform in the middle and we'll be good.
00:18:33
Todd
Yeah, they can't do that, though, because they would probably get arrested for obscenity pretty quickly.
00:18:42
Todd
I mean, the Elmo's fine, but that is over the line. So, yeah.
00:18:46
Talkin2Todd
Yeah, had naked cowboy, do your thing, man. how about How about you? What else did you bring on follow-up?
00:18:53
Todd
Do you remember we talked about, was it about a year ago, and we just mentioned it recently, how the Amazon Magic AI stores were, turns out it was just dudes in India that were reviewing camera footage and then and then typing in what you ordered?
00:19:09
Talkin2Todd
Yeah, just walk out. just Just walk out.
00:19:13
Todd
Because all of the AI, I'll figure this all out.
00:19:17
Todd
So... a I believe a Swedish newspaper about a month ago came up with, they were talking to some workers in Nairobi.
00:19:29
Todd
Have you, have you, Duane, have you ever seen the, oh, you wait, you own a, don't you own a pair of the meta Ray-Ban glasses with the cameras?
00:19:36
Talkin2Todd
Yes, I do. yes i Yes, I do. Yeah, I wore them both times we did Rag Rai.
00:19:43
Todd
Yes, because they have the cameras so you can shoot the video and and all of that.
00:19:48
Todd
Before you put those on and started recording video, did you fully, fully, fully read the entire terms of service?
More on Meta AI Glasses Privacy Issues
00:19:59
Talkin2Todd
I do know that they continue to update it.
00:20:02
Talkin2Todd
And I don't read it when they update it either.
00:20:03
Todd
Should you... Yeah, so should you have looked at that, you may have seen some legalese that said that they may have some human review of some of your data.
00:20:18
Todd
Yes, so it turns out back in February, I think actually and back in February, this report came out. So there was a a company in Nairobi who
00:20:37
Todd
their job was to review video taken on the meta AI glasses. For what, I'm still not clear what they were reviewing, but they were watching, sitting in a room and watching videos that came off of people's meta AI glasses.
00:20:58
Todd
they were in a large office complex, just long rows of employees just sit in front of computer screens and their entire shift just watching video off of meta AI glasses.
00:21:08
Todd
Now, in theory, they are called data antenators. And what they're supposed to do the magic of ai they're supposed to look at video and say, oh, well, that's a car.
00:21:24
Todd
That's a lamp. This is people. Every image must be described, labeled, and quality assured. this is how the This is how we train the AI is by just having people look at the video and say lamp, book, cat, person, okay?
00:21:41
Todd
Which, again, I thought the computers were doing all this. What's, what's, what are all the data centers for? Don't know. Anyway, however, when reviewing the video, the question might be, what kind of video comes in? Well, they're just getting video from all of these places.
00:21:55
Todd
So, for instance, one of the people interviewed said, I saw a video where the man puts his glasses on the bedside table, then leaves the room, Shortly afterwards, his wife comes in and changes her clothes.
00:22:10
Todd
Dude in Kenya, got to annotate it. By the way, turns out lots of people wear their meta AI glasses while using the toilet.
00:22:25
Talkin2Todd
Because of course they do.
00:22:25
Todd
So, yes. So so they they get they get to watch things of people wearing their AI glasses while using the toilet. They also point out, apparently, a non-zero number of meta AI glass wearers wear it while having sex.
00:22:42
Todd
So that's also in the video that is being reviewed. I don't know what they're annotating. Don't, don't want to know. Also, things like videos of people's bank accounts, of their credit card numbers, of their of their passwords, of usernames and passwords while logging into computers.
00:23:07
Todd
One person said a lot of naked bodies. Like, just a lot of of naked bodies. Yeah. Oh, and then you can also, they also work with transcriptions where they check what the AI assistant in the meta glasses has answered, right?
00:23:25
Todd
So, because you can talk to it and now you can ask it questions.
00:23:28
Talkin2Todd
So quality control.
00:23:29
Todd
So, yes, the topics can be anything at all. We see chats where people are talking about how to commit crimes.
00:23:40
Todd
Oh, yeah. One of the people says, it is really difficult to come to work every day. Now, the good news is, that person doesn't have to worry about that anymore. This came out in February. It caught fire at the end of April.
00:23:55
Todd
The BBC picked up on this. And Meta quietly canceled the contract. Not because they were doing a bad job, but because people found out that the ai glasses the AI glasses are just some dudes in Kenya.
00:24:08
Talkin2Todd
That they were doing a bad thing.
00:24:13
Todd
So anyway, quick question, where are your AI glasses right now and what are they pointed at?
00:24:19
Talkin2Todd
In the case, next to the computer.
00:24:23
Talkin2Todd
Charged and ready to go for the next time I get on the bike.
00:24:27
Todd
Okay, just keep in mind, as soon as they come out of the case, dude in Kenya or somewhere else not Kenya.
00:24:38
Todd
Yeah. So things are going great in AI ai and meta land. The weird part is, what I was really shocked me about this is, are you telling me that meta isn't observing people's privacy?
00:24:51
Todd
Huh. It's first time I've heard about that.
00:24:54
Talkin2Todd
Who'd have thunk?
Will Today's Stories Look Different in Six Months?
00:25:01
Talkin2Todd
Every time you bring one of these stories, I'm like, oh my God.
00:25:06
Todd
And just once again, six months from now, these are going to be the fun stories. So just enjoy them while we've got them.
00:25:14
Talkin2Todd
oh it's probably time for this, isn't it?
00:25:28
Talkin2Todd
That's right. That sound means it's time for America's favorite game.
China's Record-Breaking Railway Day
00:25:32
Talkin2Todd
It's time for Dwayne Gus a number. Okay, hit me.
00:25:54
Todd
On May 1st, which was a holiday in China, China's railway network set a record for how many passengers the China's railway network carried in a single day.
00:26:08
Todd
Duane, how many passengers were transported on the on the China's rail network on May 1st that set that record?
00:26:19
Talkin2Todd
It's a holiday.
00:26:22
Talkin2Todd
Are we counting round trips? Is that individual passengers or is it total trips given?
00:26:28
Todd
It is, it just lists how many passengers. So we'll call it, whether it's a round trip or a single trip, just assume that it's a one ticket, one ticket equals one person kind of thing.
00:26:41
Talkin2Todd
For all of China.
00:26:49
Talkin2Todd
More dense population-wise than we are. Population density high, therefore,
00:26:55
Todd
In places, although there's a lot of open space there too, but yeah.
00:26:58
Talkin2Todd
well, yes, but there's a lot more trains than we have here and a lot more people.
00:27:06
Todd
So just to give you, here's here's some here's some here's some data that won't help you, but I'll share. Zhen Zhao line,
00:27:17
Todd
I don't know where that goes from or two. They added an additional 140 passenger trains on May 1st. And the Chengdu line added an additional 184 additional trains to handle the passenger load.
00:27:38
Talkin2Todd
And these are these are trains, not trolleys.
00:27:40
Todd
Trains. Yes. Full-size trains. Yeah.
00:27:47
Talkin2Todd
Uh, how about. 950 million writers.
00:27:54
Todd
Okay, I'm mean i'm just going to do a little sanity check. I believe the population of China is around 1.1 billion plus minus.
00:28:06
Todd
You're saying that like 93% of the population of the entire country rode a train on May 1st.
00:28:15
Talkin2Todd
Got on a train. Yeah. Yes. Yeah. No.
00:28:20
Talkin2Todd
No. Am I high?
00:28:26
Talkin2Todd
Okay. That one went off the rails a bit.
00:28:31
Talkin2Todd
I don't know.
00:28:31
Todd
you're starting to do You're starting to derail this game, so can we yeah can we stay on the track?
00:28:34
Talkin2Todd
Let's. Okay. Let's. Let's say half. Half of the population. 500 million trips
00:28:41
Todd
You're still way high.
00:28:43
Talkin2Todd
Oh, 100 million trips.
00:28:46
Todd
Okay. This is not really.
00:28:47
Talkin2Todd
and like Am I in the neighborhood?
00:28:52
Todd
The record was set 24.8 million passengers rode a train on May 1st.
00:29:04
Todd
Just under 25 million.
00:29:06
Talkin2Todd
So almost all of the population of the United States
00:29:11
Todd
How many people do you think are here, okay? We're at like 350. 350.
00:29:15
Talkin2Todd
Well, we're at 300 million, not 30.
00:29:17
Talkin2Todd
We're at 300 million, not 30. Okay.
00:29:19
Todd
Yeah, we're like at 340, 340 million.
00:29:20
Talkin2Todd
Rounding error. Yeah. Okay.
00:29:23
Todd
Wow. Okay. No, but what's the population of Iowa?
00:29:32
Talkin2Todd
3.1 million and we got 6 million pigs.
00:29:35
Todd
I don't know if they get a reduced fare or not. So, okay. So eight times, if everybody in Iowa...
00:29:50
Todd
All got on the train at the same time on the same day. That's where you would be at. But no, it's it's it's not 93% of the population.
00:30:00
Talkin2Todd
Okay, and I think we have like one passenger train that runs through Iowa, period.
00:30:07
Todd
The Amtrak one that comes through at at like 2 o'clock in the morning or something.
00:30:11
Talkin2Todd
Yeah, in Osceola.
00:30:11
Todd
Because because it feels like, yeah.
00:30:12
Talkin2Todd
It's not even in Des Moines, it's in Osceola.
00:30:15
Todd
yeah It feels like all Amtrak trains go through wherever you're at at two o'clock in the morning. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. It's going to be, not only do I not give you a bell, you had so many things wrong in that, that I'm really, it's really hard to give you credit for. you Yeah. Yeah. This one may, so may stay with you for a while. Yeah. Yeah.
00:30:39
Todd
Huh. Yeah. The interesting question I'm going to to figure out is, is how many trees can the Canadian railway transport? Maybe that's what I need to look up.
00:30:50
Todd
All right. Sorry. No, no, no bell for you on that one.
00:30:52
Talkin2Todd
No bell. No bell there.
00:30:55
Todd
I will say this, though. If you think about 25 million people, that's that's not that many. I mean, in in a population of a billion. But like each Eurostar train, which is pretty big, like those are pretty big trains.
00:31:10
Todd
Those hold 1,000 people, just under 1,000 people.
00:31:15
Todd
And now you get from... So if you assume that every train could hold 1,000 people and you get to 25 million, that's a lot of trains.
00:31:24
Talkin2Todd
That's a lot of trains, but not nearly as many as I had guessed.
00:31:27
Talkin2Todd
I, I, I really, I, I almost never ride trains and, and care even less about them.
00:31:35
Talkin2Todd
If that makes, if you couldn't tell by my answers.
00:31:39
Todd
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, the good news is knowing that information, I see a lot more train trivia in the future. OK, cool. but But probably, wait a minute, wait a minute, let me look at my dates of the week.
00:31:51
Todd
and Nope, not this week. So I think we're done with train content.
00:31:55
Talkin2Todd
We're done with training? Okay, good. Well, at least we didn't engineer that so that I would fail.
00:32:01
Todd
It's almost like we got our signals crossed. Anyway, what did you bring for the Scott Frost Memorial Idiot of the Week?
00:32:07
Talkin2Todd
So I don't know if you saw this story or not.
00:32:11
Talkin2Todd
there was There's a group in Des Moines that five or six years ago, A couple of buddies decided that they wanted to train for a marathon.
00:32:23
Talkin2Todd
And so they were going to get together on Monday night and run down at Grayslake Park or wherever else they were going to run. And so they just started getting together and then they would invite a friend or two. And then eventually the friend would invite a friend and and their friends would invite friends. And and it's it's not a regular thing, but it turned it kind of turned into a regular thing. And they call themselves the 515 Run Club.
00:32:51
Talkin2Todd
There are no dues. There are no, I mean, there there are people that have made t-shirts, but nobody's making any money off of this thing. It's not a nonprofit organization. It's a Facebook group.
00:33:05
Talkin2Todd
But they regularly run on Monday nights around Gray's Lake, on the trail around Gray's Lake in Des Moines.
00:33:15
Talkin2Todd
couple of weeks ago, They got a letter from Des Moines Park and Rec that they're an organized group and they were going to need to pay a fee of a dollar per person that participates in their volunteer, totally arbitrary run in a public park on a public trail.
00:33:41
Talkin2Todd
And they conduct enough of these over the course of the year with enough people that it was going to cost $4,300 for them to continue to do their runs, according to the Des Moines Park and Rec Department.
00:33:56
Todd
To run in a public park.
00:33:57
Talkin2Todd
To run in a public park.
00:34:01
Todd
Okay. Okay. This seems like municipal government run amok.
Des Moines Park Fee Debate
00:34:09
Talkin2Todd
These, these,
00:34:09
Todd
do we Do we know any municipal government experts in the toddlers that can, that could, I don't know, jump in and give some guidance?
00:34:24
Talkin2Todd
These are, for the record, the same mines that brought you night golf at the oldest public municipal golf course west of the Mississippi.
00:34:34
Talkin2Todd
they They also, this spring, tore up seven tennis courts at various public parks and just just tore them up. Too much work to rehabilitate them. We're just going to tear them up. So they tore them out.
00:34:52
Talkin2Todd
Des Moines Park and Rec, your tax dollars at work. Anyway,
00:34:57
Todd
Parkin, W-R-E-C-K. Parkin' Wreck.
00:35:00
Talkin2Todd
that's exactly what it is. It is.
00:35:02
Todd
Somebody having fun? Is somebody having fun? We can wreck that.
00:35:07
Todd
I mean, i i will say this.
00:35:10
Todd
i was like After you said this, you you said this, and I'm like looking, and it's like, okay, so...
00:35:18
Todd
From a certain angle, let me put it this way. From a certain angle, it does say each week there's around 75 to 150 people taking part in the in the run I can see an argument to be made.
00:35:35
Todd
They're not all running as just as a pack. i mean, you'll kind of string out. But when you get that many people all kind of doing the same thing, it may have an impact on other people enjoying the space. i I'm not saying that they're right, but I can also, to a certain extent, say, that's lot people. That's a lot of people.
00:35:58
Todd
that's that's a lot of people
00:36:01
Talkin2Todd
But one of the comments that was made by the Park and Rec Department was, we need we need the fees to be able to accommodate the parking.
00:36:12
Todd
So the people are already parking
00:36:15
Todd
in the parking lots that are provided at the location.
00:36:21
Todd
So what are the what's the money for?
00:36:22
Talkin2Todd
That's exactly what I want to know.
00:36:25
Talkin2Todd
And if I decide on a random Monday and don't know, and want, if I decide on a random Monday that I want to go to Grayslake Park and walk, and I'm not affiliated with this group, but decide that I just want to do it anyway, do I need to pay a fee?
00:36:41
Todd
Well, wait, if you decide to walk, I think you're just being tolerated. You're not being encouraged.
00:36:49
Todd
So like I think you're in the clear.
00:36:52
Talkin2Todd
I think you think I'm safe.
00:36:53
Todd
i think you're in thelair
00:36:54
Talkin2Todd
Yeah. Uh, meanwhile, fitness sports in Des Moines has stepped up and they are covering the fees for now so that this group, while, while this plays out in both the court of public opinion and elsewhere,
00:37:13
Talkin2Todd
Fitness sports is stepping up to cover the fees as an act of goodwill. But there are the the other problem that has occurred is that there are other running clubs that gather at parks around Des Moines and run.
00:37:30
Talkin2Todd
So the fact that this group is being charged is arbitrary and capricious. There's zero consistency to it. How big of a group?
00:37:42
Talkin2Todd
We don't know. Are there any rules? No, not really, but you're getting fined.
00:37:48
Todd
Okay. all right. I think there's a piece of the story we're not missing or that we're missing.
00:37:54
Todd
Here's what I suspect.
00:37:56
Todd
Somebody on the board or the executive committee or whatever of Des Moines Park and Rec asked if they could run as part of in the 515 Club and either were told no or got left behind on a run. And then said, as God is my witness, I will have my revenge.
00:38:24
Todd
Fun fact, a couple of weeks ago, after work, I came home, went out for a run and then in the new neighborhood here in Salt Lake City. And I'm just out running.
00:38:33
Todd
And I'm trying to figure out places to go. And I'm running down this, and I'm running. And a couple of people pass me. Let's be honest, a lot of people pass me. But a couple of runners pass me. And I'm like, oh, okay.
00:38:44
Todd
and then And then another guy passes me. And then two more people pass me. And then I'm thinking... this is a really popular route considering this is just a random street.
00:38:55
Todd
and then And then it's about a mile of just straight. And now I notice people are passing me and more people are passing me and more people are passing me. And then I realize, there's a run club out.
00:39:10
Todd
I am now in the middle of a run club run that I am not a part of. Now, Duane, Duane, This might be a run club that you will enjoy that you would enjoy, however, because I'm going to this out.
00:39:24
Todd
So I'm basically following all of them until we get to a strip mall, at which point they all veer off and go into a bar. So
00:39:33
Talkin2Todd
this is This is a drinking club with a running problem.
00:39:37
Todd
I believe so. I actually believe that they park at the bar immediately. They do a, I don't know, two and a half to three miles, so two and a half to three miles circuit, maybe.
00:39:48
Todd
And then, well, we've, you know what we can do now that we've worked off all those calories? Hit the bar. And Dwayne's thinking, I love it all. Let me ask you this.
00:39:59
Todd
What if I just say this? We cut out the running.
00:40:02
Talkin2Todd
Yeah, what if I just meet you?
00:40:04
Todd
I'll just, you know what? I'll get the table. I'll just. Yeah.
00:40:08
Talkin2Todd
alsoa I'll hold it for us.
00:40:09
Talkin2Todd
You let you just come on you You just meet me.
00:40:14
Talkin2Todd
the i will The greatest store in the universe, Raygun, the t-shirt store in Des Moines, has now started printing shirts that say independent runner.
00:40:24
Talkin2Todd
Definitely not associated with the 515 Run Club that you can buy and wear. which Which reminds me of my mouse pad.
00:40:36
Talkin2Todd
We're like Lennon and McCartney.
00:40:39
Todd
Not those, the other one.
00:40:40
Talkin2Todd
Not the other.
00:40:42
Talkin2Todd
Definitely not any other two guys.
00:40:43
Todd
Yeah. The only thing I would suggest and Reagan, they know what they're doing with t-shirts. I'm just, I'm surprised on the back. It says, don't find me, bro.
00:40:54
Talkin2Todd
they They also have a shirt that says Des Moines, a jogging license may be required. Please notify the city if too many people are enjoying themselves.
00:41:05
Talkin2Todd
This is the, and then as a follow-up to that post, they said, this is the same hypervigilant and responsive city government that made us work for six years to get a stop sign in front of our building that we offered to pay for.
00:41:22
Talkin2Todd
Anyway, Run Club. City of Des Moines, park and rec, my idiots of the week. How about you? What did you bring? OK.
00:41:31
Todd
Hey, this one's breaking news
IndyCar's Controversial T-Shirt
00:41:38
Todd
do do we still Do we have the other theme loaded on the soundboard?
00:41:41
Talkin2Todd
Ready to go. You bet.
00:41:42
Todd
Okay. i don't I'm going to say this. I don't think we need it, but we're right up on the edge. Did you hear that as part of the festivities for the 250th celebration for anniversary of the United States that IndyCar is hosting a race in Washington, D.C.?
00:42:05
Todd
Did you, did were you aware of that?
00:42:07
Talkin2Todd
Yes, was. yes i was
00:42:08
Todd
Yeah. Yeah. I'm not, to be completely honest, I'm not sure IndyCar was aware that they were doing that until until the president announced that he was going to do that, and then they had to put something together. Anyway, it's the Freedom 250 is what it's being called.
00:42:24
Todd
Okay, cool. That's great. We're going to have, the cars are going to, in theory, go past the Capitol, and it'll be great. So they started they started selling merch,
00:42:37
Todd
Here's the thing. We've covered sports. The Olympics put up that shirt celebrating Berlin in 36.
00:42:47
Todd
okay So somebody at IndyCar, they put up, they put up a merch, official merch for the Freedom 250. The shirt they put up today, this morning, white t-shirt,
00:43:05
Todd
It shows Lincoln in the Lincoln Memorial. But instead of it being Lincoln, it's a race car driver sitting in the Lincoln Memorial seat.
00:43:16
Todd
Above it, it says one nation. Okay. Below him, one race. Okay.
00:43:28
Talkin2Todd
No, no, no, no, no.
00:43:32
Todd
Yes. IndyCar for a few hours today was selling a t-shirt that said one nation, one race.
00:43:40
Talkin2Todd
no, no oh my God, i'm I'm now looking at this, teacher oh my God.
00:43:51
Talkin2Todd
It says it's still in stock.
00:43:54
Todd
Well, according in an email to The Athletic, IndyCar said a shirt was removed from IndyCar's online store following feedback from customers. We understand, and I love this, some individuals, just some, found its phrasing concerning, and therefore we have remedied this situation.
00:44:13
Todd
According to them, it was removed within a few hours. It was officially licensed, and it was labeled as Fun Graphic Tee and was a $50 shirt.
00:44:26
Todd
the The race is set for August twenty third New story. Maybe some of these, maybe we need to stop selling shirts, guys. Just maybe, can we can we just stop selling the shirts and the posters and maybe run this past somebody?
00:44:44
Todd
the The problem, of course, is, and I'll just say this, the problem is, did they run it past somebody and they knew exactly what they were doing?
00:44:56
Todd
therein lies the problem. Because quite frankly, how often do we talk about IndyCar on this podcast? Well, we do today.
00:45:04
Talkin2Todd
Today we do. Yep. Today, I guess we do.
00:45:06
Todd
Yeah. Anyway, there we go. Thanks, IndyCar. What have you been watching?
Musical 'Suffs' Review
00:45:16
Talkin2Todd
Saturday night, we went to the Des Moines Civic Center and saw SUFFS, which is the
00:45:21
Todd
is that Is that the little, are those the little blue things that run around with like Papa suff papa Snuff, Papa Suff and the other Suffs? No.
00:45:33
Todd
Misread that. Sorry.
00:45:34
Talkin2Todd
Grumpy. Right?
00:45:40
Talkin2Todd
Yeah. the No, no, no, wait.
00:45:42
Talkin2Todd
That's the different.
00:45:43
Talkin2Todd
Nope. That's a different stuff.
00:45:45
Talkin2Todd
This is the story of how the 19th amendment came to be and the infighting. yeah It won Tony's.
00:45:56
Talkin2Todd
It was good. I'm not going to say it was the best thing I saw this year, but it was very good.
00:46:02
Todd
Not in your top five-ish.
00:46:03
Talkin2Todd
Nope, definitely not. Not even in my top 15-ish, but it was very good. I did enjoy it.
00:46:10
Talkin2Todd
Not the best thing I've seen this year, but but very enjoyable. They did a really good job with it. And the entire thing was written book, music, lyrics by one woman.
00:46:22
Talkin2Todd
It wasn't a collaboration thing. This one lady did it. And it was it was good.
00:46:29
Talkin2Todd
It was good. Anyway, how about you? What have you been watching?
00:46:32
Todd
So on Friday night, we had tickets to go see Devil Wears Prada
'Devil Wears Prada 2' Review
00:46:37
Todd
Part 2. or devil Sorry, Devil Wears Prada 2, not Part 2. Devil Wears Prada 2.
00:46:44
Todd
Which meant on Thursday night, I said, you know, we should probably should we should probably watch Devil Wears Prada. I've seen it.
00:46:49
Talkin2Todd
Need a little refresh?
00:46:51
Todd
I've seen it, but it's been a while. So on friday on Thursday night, we watch Devil Wears Prada. Then we go to the theater. I will say this. Having a refresh. There was a lot more inside jokes that I understood or nods to the original that I would have completely missed had I basically thought about, oh, do I remember? i don't remember any of this. I mean, yeah, I remember Miranda and like, oh.
00:47:17
Todd
Wow. Anne Hathaway's in this. So it was good. that i It was good that I that I got a refresh anyway. So we went we went to the movie theater. We went to an actual movie theater on a Friday night and we went and saw Dvorak's product you know, it's an in it's an entertaining movie. It's it's If you like the first one, you're well, reviews are mixed.
00:47:41
Todd
Some characters have growth arcs, I would say, which some people are very pissed about. So it's it's a perfectly good movie.
00:47:52
Todd
Is it as good as the first one? Probably not. But it is it is what it is. it If you go to watch Devil Wears Prada 2, you know what you get? Devil Wears Prada 2. That's what you get.
00:48:04
Talkin2Todd
No surprises. Does what it says on the tin.
00:48:07
Todd
Yeah. So anyway, that's, that's what we watched. And we have, we have, we have more movie tickets purchased for two weeks with Mandalorian and Grogu.
00:48:21
Todd
There's going to be two movies in the, in May.
00:48:23
Todd
No, not May. Anyway, there's going two, there's going to be movies fairly close back to back.
00:48:30
Talkin2Todd
You're just a theater-going fool.
00:48:35
Todd
At this theater, a small drink was $6.08. A
00:48:40
Todd
a full, yes. i will I can make a strong case that if you go and you buy the drink, there is a fool involved. So, yes.
00:49:04
Talkin2Todd
again, this house is 22 years old
00:49:07
Talkin2Todd
and so things are starting to reach the end of their natural natural life cycle or code requires in a commercial building that we do certain things after 20, 21, 22 years, whatever.
00:49:23
Talkin2Todd
Anyway, all of the sprinklers, all the sprinkler heads in the building need to either be tested or replaced.
00:49:39
Talkin2Todd
Todd, three-story building, 10 bedrooms,
00:49:41
Todd
Yeah. Okay. 980 million.
00:49:45
Talkin2Todd
one, two, three, four, five bathrooms. How many total sprinkler heads do you think there are in this building, Todd?
00:49:55
Talkin2Todd
tight Time for Todd, guess the number. You're a little high.
00:50:02
Todd
little high. OK. OK.
00:50:04
Todd
Three story building. Let's say you have 45. let's say lets say you have forty five
00:50:15
Talkin2Todd
There are 46 sprinklers, very good, wow.
00:50:22
Talkin2Todd
There are 46 sprinkler heads. Todd, do you wanna guess what the cost is going to be to either test or replace and which we're gonna do?
00:50:32
Todd
$980 million. dollars Close. The cost to do all of them?
00:50:39
Talkin2Todd
Yeah. So if we need to test, if we go with the test version, we have to test because some are ceilings and some are sideways in the wall.
00:50:49
Talkin2Todd
So we have to test four of each of those.
00:50:55
Todd
And isn't isn't isn't isn't testing a sprinkler system, one, destructive to the head itself, and two, possibly destructive to the non-as-of-yet waterlogged areas around it?
00:51:09
Talkin2Todd
Well, so what they end up doing is they drain the system, they take out the head, replace it with a new one, and send said replacement head off to the testing facility to be tested.
00:51:23
Todd
Hmm. Oh, OK, that makes more sense.
00:51:26
Talkin2Todd
Right? So if you're in a building with thousands of sprinkler heads, to only test four of them, not a problem. That's easy.
00:51:37
Talkin2Todd
And it's gonna be oh about 1500 bucks to do all of the testing.
00:51:42
Todd
OK, to test, to do all the testing. OK.
00:51:45
Talkin2Todd
Yeah, yeah. Maybe a little more than that because we got the sideways ones and the down ones. And so you just pay for the replacements and then they do the replacements. But at that point, by the time you've replaced eight of them already to do the testing.
00:52:00
Talkin2Todd
And here's the other thing that I learned. If even one of those eight fail, all of the sprinklers have to be replaced.
00:52:09
Todd
at which point you've paid for the testing and now you're going to pay for the replacement.
00:52:11
Talkin2Todd
Yes. And now you're gonna pay for the replacements. So our plan is going to be, we're just gonna replace all 46 of them. It's gonna cost us about three grand, a little over three grand to do all the replacements, or it would cost us just $1,800. if we replace them all,
00:52:33
Talkin2Todd
the clock resets and we get another 20 years before we have to do this again. If we do the testing and everything passes, we only get another 10 years before we have to go through this process again.
00:52:47
Talkin2Todd
So the thing to do at this point, just bite the bullet, drop the three grand, have them all replaced.
00:52:54
Todd
Clearly, Big Sprinkler Head has has put their thumb on the scale of how this works.
Fraternity Sprinkler System Installations
00:53:01
Talkin2Todd
Yeah, yeah the the problem is that once again, we're a very small house, but the commercial code applies to it because you know we're a landlord and they're renting the rooms and that kind of deal. So again, if we had thousands of them,
00:53:20
Talkin2Todd
Yes, test four, move on. But not in not in this case. So that's what I learned this week. I learned all about sprinkler heads. So much that I did not know about what the process is and what the expectations are.
00:53:36
Talkin2Todd
Anyway, not all that funny, but something that it was very important for me to learn and know.
00:53:44
Todd
By the way, so you said your house is what, 22 years old?
00:53:48
Talkin2Todd
About 22 years old, yeah.
00:53:50
Todd
Yeah. So the fraternity I was in in Iowa State, I believe the building, i believe the house was built in in the twenty s or the And for decades, it was grandfathered into the fire code, so it didn't have to have any sprinklers.
00:54:09
Todd
And then about 10 years ago, as were most of the fraternities and sororities on campus, almost none of them had sprinkler systems because they were grandfathered in. And then somebody at Ames said, you know, people who live in fraternities and sororities, let's be honest, fraternities,
00:54:29
Todd
maybe that's where we should have the sprinklers the most.
00:54:32
Todd
And so code was changed and every house was required to retrofit a sprinkler system into a hundred year old house.
00:54:45
Todd
That was more than $3,000. Let me put it that way.
00:54:48
Talkin2Todd
Oh, yeah. Oh, God, yes.
00:54:51
Todd
So, so it could be worse, could be better, but it could be worse.
00:54:54
Talkin2Todd
Yes, yes. it it Yeah, yeah. the The old, the original fraternity house, the one that I lived in that was across the street, it actually burned down after we sold, we sold the house.
00:55:09
Talkin2Todd
and And moved across the street into the new one, sold the old one. And then two years later, it burned down.
00:55:16
Talkin2Todd
the to be To be clear, the fraternity did not burn down the fraternity house, but it was a fraternity house. We burned down a garage.
00:55:27
Talkin2Todd
Anyway, what did you learn this week?
00:55:28
Todd
Yeah. So you were regaling us with the story of your shower.
00:55:35
Talkin2Todd
It's still not fixed, but yes.
00:55:37
Todd
Yeah. Well, so the entire time I was listening to that, I was like, oh well, I was concerned because we have been working with a contractor to start some work and renovating the house that we purchased here in Salt Lake City.
00:55:54
Todd
And phase one started on Monday. So I'm going to send you, i'm going to send you, this is the before picture when we This is the before picture when we bought the house of our family room.
00:56:17
Talkin2Todd
Okay, nice. Double doors. Fireplace. Big picture window. Love it.
00:56:23
Todd
Yep. Doesn't work really well for TV placement because there's not a place to put like a couch and a TV. And so, and the fireplace is non-functional.
00:56:34
Todd
So we went and got a quote and it was going to be $3,500 to replace the the gasfid fireplace and we're like, but we don't really even want the fireplace and we don't need the sets of double doors. And so we we, and there's other things that we're planning on doing throughout the rest of the house. But the contractor showed up and said, we're just gonna do this part of the house first so that you can live in the other part of the house. And then when this is done, we'll move all of your stuff into here so that while we do the rest of the house. So Tuesday, when I came home from work,
00:57:08
Todd
this is what that same room looked like.
00:57:17
Todd
Yeah, we took part of that wall down to the studs. So...
00:57:21
Talkin2Todd
That looks like my shower right now. Yeah, you can you can see the exterior wall.
00:57:26
Todd
Yeah. Yeah. So one of the double doors is completely gone. That piece of plywood that is set is setting there. I sat it there because the contractor forgot to. That was the hole through the outside of the house for the flue of the gas fired. And they forgot to cover that. And then it started raining. So I put some plywood there and then the door that's existing there, that's actually coming out and it's being replaced with us with a sliding glass door. There's no carpet.
00:57:52
Todd
They had to patch the, they had to take tile out. So there was jackhammering. The ceiling has to be patched. So this is an ongoing project. Luckily i work at an office. Lisa works from home while tile has been being removed for two days in the house. So anyway, what I, what I learned was after you told me that story, I'm like, really need her. I need our contractor to start on time and finish on time. What I don't need is to walk away and go, well,
00:58:19
Todd
we'll We'll see when the custom door gets delivered.
00:58:25
Talkin2Todd
In the immortal words of Bill McFadden, take however long the contractor told you it was going to take and double it.
00:58:36
Todd
Here's thing. I'm fine with that. You don't want the corollary. Also take the budget and double that. Nope. Don't want that.
00:58:46
Talkin2Todd
Our contractor told us it was going to take about a day and a half or maybe two if things don't go well. We're way, we're way over that.
00:58:54
Todd
Although technically, I'm going to be clear, they've only really worked for about a day and a half.
00:59:00
Todd
So it's only going to take them a day and a half. Now, they're going to spread that day and a half out over the course of 16 weeks. But it's really only about a hundred day and a half worth of work.
00:59:14
Talkin2Todd
when are you, when are you supposed to get your room back?
00:59:19
Talkin2Todd
Okay. Stay tuned, toddlers.
00:59:22
Todd
Family room, shower. Now we're in a race.

So the 515 Run Club is being charged and a fee because they're an organized run. Got a simple solution to this. 150 people show up to the park all at the same time. You all get in the in the exact same starting position.
01:00:37
Todd
And then when somebody yells, go, everybody run in different directions.
01:00:45
Todd
At which point the parks department's going to be, can we keep you all like going in the same direction? Nope.
01:00:49
Todd
we don't have This is not an organized run.
01:00:50
Talkin2Todd
Nope. This is the most disorganized run you have ever seen. Trust me.
01:01:02
Talkin2Todd
oh I'm sure we're going have something we need to clean up next week. Until then, we're talking to Todd.
01:01:36
Todd
Why were you guys grilling in the living room? It was a little cold outside. Good news. We've tested the sprinkler system and it works. So technically we've saved ourselves $1,800.
01:01:53
Todd
There is some water in the basement, however, from the sprinklers. Is the sump pump going to pump that out? Oh yeah, that's not working again.
01:02:00
Talkin2Todd
Oh, God. It's one thing after another with these guys. God, love it.
