Meet the Garage Avengers

00:00:01
Speaker
This is the Garage Avenger podcast. Here we go again, Giz. I'm still digging this into music. I'm glad. to again No one else digs it, but just you.
00:00:17
Speaker
Oh, yes.

Twin Passions: Machines and Beer

00:00:19
Speaker
Hello and welcome to the Garage Avenger broadcast. Justin. Broadcast? Broadcast. It's a pro prodding people with this podcast.
00:00:31
Speaker
Oh God, let me start that again. That's not again. Just roll with it. I'm Justin, the guy who builds dumb machines in my garage. And I'm Garen, the guy brewing tasty beers in my garage and also twin brother to Justin.
00:00:51
Speaker
We're brothers creating the wild and the unexpected. I'm going to take you on a ride through our everyday lives in our garages. So let's get into it, Kieran.

Justin's Narcissistic Discovery

00:01:05
Speaker
Up to this week. oh So many things. ah First of all, just want to say podcasting, new thing for me. So I've discovered I'm a narcissist.
00:01:22
Speaker
I probably listened to my own podcast like five times, at least. I wondered why there were so many. Like it's not publicly released yet. I was like, who's who's who's linked this podcast? Who's listening to this podcast? Like some someone knows about it. Somewhere popular, Karen. It turns out it's just you. With five listens.
00:01:47
Speaker
no No, I just like listening to myself, like my own voice and fascinated with myself clearly. ah Yeah, discovered I'm a narcissist. So that was, um that's been a good portion of last week, listening to myself talk, and obviously you as well. and yeahre And like, here's the thing. So we have to at some point, split the editing.
00:02:12
Speaker
So what I find is you listen to it so much when you're editing the podcast. so You just get your narcissism quota there. and Yeah. And you don't have to feel like a creep listening to your podcast on Spotify. Oh, yep. yep So, yep. New level of narcissism this week um and new rage. I found a new level of rage in the garage this week.
00:02:41
Speaker
We're truly avenging the garage this week.

The Can Seamer Saga

00:02:45
Speaker
I i have a can seamer like the thing that closes the lid on cans. So I have a can seamer in the in the brewery and garage. And I thought things getting like I'm getting a few miss like seemed cans. So I'll just adjust this fucking thing now. Just to explain this can seamer. It's well It's not the highest quality piece of machinery I could have bought. I did go to cheap option, Chinese, bought from a place called Netthunderland, like the web shop online, and it weighs a fucking ton. Like it came, like they wouldn't post it because it's too heavy.
00:03:36
Speaker
Like, literally Poston was like, nope, we can't send this. So I had to get my father-in-law, who lived in Christianson at the time where it were were the warehouse is, to go and pick it up for me. And he broke his back trying to get it into the car. Now, I might add, like, it's not a massive thing. It's probably only like, I don't know, 30, 40 centimeters long by 40 centimeters high.
00:04:02
Speaker
and as a little table, you put the can and it goes up. and Anyway, long story short, this, say you have these little rollers that that lock the can closed and you have to adjust them and have to be like a certain like distance between the rollers and all this kind of stuff. And you have like, it's so precise that you have to have like these, I mean, some of the gaps are like,
00:04:28
Speaker
0.01 of a millimeter. So ah just explain how this particular machine works in terms of the adjusting. You have a ball bearing that has an offset center. So you rotate the center column to adjust the ball bearing so it goes closer or further away from the chuck piece.
00:04:57
Speaker
And then the height adjustment is, and both the height adjustment and this like distance adjustment are controlled by loosening one screw. And then you've got to like ah rotate it and like lock it down. Of course, when you lock it down, it moves as well, right?
00:05:16
Speaker
It's like, it's not. So um long story short, the neighbors think I have a rage problem. um ah Every time I adjusted this thing, it moved. And there was so much cursing and swearing and anger. I think I bust a like, I think I bust a blood vessel in my eye at one point. I was just so angry at this thing. But in the end,
00:05:43
Speaker
I got it done. Yeah, it was ah I got it. I got it all seemed and it seems to be the same as it seemed to be good, pretty good holding. So I'm happy with that. And yeah, so new rage this week can seem as if you do yourself a favor, if you think about buying one, please. I mean, fuck, I think cost five thousand grounds. It works. But I mean,
00:06:11
Speaker
Is it worth the rage? You can spend another, you know, five to six thousand more and get a totally different thing that's not going to cause you to have a, you know, rage induced fucking aneurysm. The rage helps like sometimes. ah I don't know about this because like, ah you know, like I end up fucking hitting something else or grabbing, you know, just like or hitting the fucking thing itself, there's dents in it now because I'm just like, stupid fucking piece of shit. ah So, you know, it can seem as not my forte. I'm just going to put it out there now for you kind of techno nerdy buffs out there that love these kind of small adjustment stuff. You're more than welcome to come to my house and and adjust it for me, please. Sorry.
00:07:08
Speaker
Yep. So new rage. Besides raging in your garage, is there anything else going on? ah Well, I've been looking at. and Well, first of all, I hope you're enjoying the newer audio quality of my voice. It doesn't sound like I'm on a fucking dodgy phone line.
00:07:28
Speaker
over like international waters through some copper cables or some shit. Well, like to be honest, on my end right now, you're all glitchy because we've got video running and it's like cutting out. They're probably they're probably not enjoying a new microphone. I well this that's all in you bro.
00:07:49
Speaker
you So, yeah, new microphone. That's, um I'm stepping up in,

Creative Beer Presentation Ideas

00:07:56
Speaker
I thought, you know, like I said, back to the narcissism, I was like, my voice doesn't sound very good, I've got to get a better microphone. for um And there we go, Justin's just cut the video now. Yeah, let's see if that fate fixes it. Yeah, well, okay. I hope people are enjoying my my crystal clear voice.
00:08:14
Speaker
ah But other than new microphone, I have been looking for cool ways to present the beer that I'm making when I start selling it commercially. So I was like looking at like these presentation boxes, like Justin had this idea of like a suitcase that like you open like these like aluminium suitcase they open with LED lights and shit in it and you know, all this kind of stuff.
00:08:43
Speaker
I think you need to explain a little bit like what how this works so like all right you're you're thinking like the how do you sell beer like how does that work like how yeah yeah so i gotta i gotta to you know meet someone and basically present the product to them so they can buy it or they want to buy it hopefully um and so i basically you know it's like a sales meeting basically and be like hey come and this is what I'm producing and and you want to have a taste and and how many thousand liters do you want kind of thing. And so there's ah um so you obviously got to present the products to them. And now the kind of industry standard i worked in beer sales for a little while. And the industry standard just slings some cans at someone and be like, here's our beer. Fucking take it. Buy it. Tell me how much you want.
00:09:41
Speaker
And, you know, it's like it's a really competitive industry. So I realize I've got to cut through the noise, you know, so I've got to present it in a way that people can remember. Yeah. So that's that's kind of thing and meet up like a bar manager or a new distributor or a big, big chain of some kind that might want to take you know, couple pallets or something, a beer, and you got to present it to them and, you know, sell it to them and make them feel it like it's a super quality product. So yeah, that was the idea. and Suitcase with lights on it and cold packs, I think you said, Justin, like, so it's like cold, like, but I only get them some fucking dry eyes dry eyes. When you open that thing out with LED lights as well. Fuck, that would look great.
00:10:34
Speaker
Yeah, and it has that choir like noise. oh As you open it, that'd be sick. That was a perfect off key. oh and See, I mean, that would be cool. I mean, the the kind of direction where I'm going, because obviously the band brand is all about kind of like a play on like Christian and culture um and things like that. So I'm kind of thinking I might like do the same kind of thing, but like with a Bible instead, like a big Bible, which just walk around with a big Bible with like four cans inside it and be like, what does the good word have to say about about new Eucharist brewing, like kind of thing? I don't know. That might be a bit too much. But I know I'm kind of curious if has anyone got some other
00:11:27
Speaker
Ideas where are like I'm open if anyone's got some ideas shoot them in the comments. I would love to hear them Yeah, because I'm thinking that the Bible might be a bit too much. and Not everyone like that. I had some Jehovah's Witness come over this week. are they like they ambu I the garage door open, trying to work on stuff and they ambushed me and they wouldn't they wouldn't go away. I was just like, uh-huh, uh-huh. And I was just kept, I tried to keep on working.
00:12:00
Speaker
Like I'm not a, no, I'm not the type of person that tells them just like, Hey, like I'm not interested in fuck off. Um, so I just kind of amused them and yeah. And no one really likes that approach. No one loves it. Come on. They're just like pushing. And like the big thing with the J dubs, right? Is it's all about end times. They're all about like the world's coming to an end or an all fucked. I'm like,
00:12:28
Speaker
Can we just have a more positive outlook on life, please? um You know, it's like, yeah, we I mean, with general politics and shit, like the world is fucked enough as it is. I don't need some guys knocking on my door telling me that everything's fucked. So I mean, the difference between you and me just is like, I've got some fucking big guns, like theological big gun ideas like I can fire back if I've got the time.
00:12:58
Speaker
And that's the problem. And I've like thought to myself, oh, I could like fucking nail these guys with all these big theological, you know, I got to bring out my big fucking Bible and bash them over the head and see how they fucking like it. But, you know, they're they're kind of like, I mean, to what end, really? I mean, they're said in their ways anyway, they're not going to change their mind just because I literally pulled out a Bible and told them, hey, your way you're reading this is wrong.
00:13:26
Speaker
like no one's going to fucking change their mind over that kind of stuff. It's all, it all comes from like, you know, slow relationship kind of based, you know, changing your mind stuff. So Jay dubs. Oh, sorry. That was a rabbit hole. But I mean, I think to going back to the beer presentation, yeah like, uh, like we talked a little bit this week about like um iPhone packaging, right? Yeah, the way like those boxes that fit super snug and tight one and you open it and it goes.
00:14:03
Speaker
Yeah, right. Yeah. That's super nice. Or like a wax, you know, stamped sealed box. Yeah. Where you have to break the wax seal to come into it. It's like a sense of occasion, like you've opened something really special. And so when you, when you get to the customer, he's like, here, here's this product. And they're like, it's in a, what is this? It's in a box.
00:14:27
Speaker
And then they have to do that process of like breaking the wax seal. yeah And it's like a real special, like, I don't care who you are. That's a special thing you're doing. You know, like opening a wax seal of ah of ah something. It feels kind of special. So I think that could be also a cheaper way to do it, where you presentate these beers in like a box sealed with wax.
00:14:56
Speaker
Yeah, because you can get these like custom made, like I get like a custom made stamp, like wax stamp, like insignia type thing with the logo and all the rest. And, you know, just drip that fucking box of wax and just with the stamp and then that'll fucking look mad. there There may be people listening to this podcast that can do such work, Kieran.
00:15:21
Speaker
Please DM me at, you're Chris Bowie. Please do. Actually I'll be super, ah I'd love that. That'd be super awesome. If someone wants to jump in and help me with that, that'd be cool. And I'm sure I can fucking order it online, but you know, why do that when, you know, there's all talented people out there that could help me. You might actually enjoy that. Yeah.
00:15:44
Speaker
Yeah, 100%. And there's like, there's so many amazing people out there. I've met a lot of them just doing their thing, you know, in their garages. ah You know, it's not the same as what I'm doing, but I so respect everything that people are coming up with there. It's just, they're passionate about it. And some of the work I've seen people come out of their little garages just blows my mind.
00:16:12
Speaker
Segway! Nah! No, okay, let's go back to you. Okay, I've told you what I'm doing. What are you doing? What have you done this week, I should say, Jess? What's been happening in the garage? What have you been avenging this week? Oh, ah well, avenging time, really. Ooh. Is that like, you know, like a, you know,
00:16:37
Speaker
Marvel Graduate Adventure, Doctor Strange going through time. Yeah, he's like rewinding time. Now, the big thing is that my son Henry's been sick this week and, you know, pretty much from Monday till, yeah, ah he went to school on Friday, but he was pretty reduced. What was wrong with him? He had gastro.
00:17:05
Speaker
ah The poor bugger, he he was throwing up and he was just, he couldn't keep anything in his body just constantly. Yeah, going to the bathroom. What did you have at Doji Kebeb?
00:17:21
Speaker
No, unfortunately, his one of his friends had it. And we thought that it was all right for him to, have you know, spend time with him. But it seems like we made a judgment call. It was a bit bad. I mean, like, that's the shittiest way to get it really. Like, at least if you eat a dirty kebab, you get the joy of eating a dirty kebab.
00:17:42
Speaker
Yeah, but the problem with the dirty kebab is it like last usually like a night, right? Get that out of your system, you're all good. But then this, you know, this is a different, right? Yeah. So the poor guy, like, I felt sorry, sorry for Henry. He was you know, throwing up, but he just couldn't keep anything down. Then he would run off to the bathroom and you know, poor guy. He couldn't, I just watched the weight strip of him. Now he's not a fat kid at all. You know, and then by Thursday, he looked so skinny. It was ridiculous. All the weight, all the water in his body just got out.

Balancing Family and Work

00:18:26
Speaker
So we're just trying to get him, get fluids, keep him hydrated and
00:18:32
Speaker
yeah he have Does he now have the ability to read minds? How does that work? Sorry, it was a Zoolander reference. Oh, Jesus.
00:18:49
Speaker
ah Sorry for everyone who didn't understand that reference. yeah I don't think anyone was saying that reference.
00:18:57
Speaker
But yeah, sick kids, uh, which, you know, made me struggle with this like internal battle that I always have, which is, you know, family first, you know, garage Avengers seconds. Um, you know, it's all well and good to have like a day with a sick kid, but then four days with a sick kid.
00:19:21
Speaker
You know, I had to rely, I had to say to Kristen, I have to get to work. Like i I don't get paid if I don't work. So she stayed home for two days and I did two days as well. So yeah, I struggled to get enough time to do what I needed to do, which was, you know, completing this pallet or pallet, I was about to call it pallet, completing this, uh,
00:19:51
Speaker
hand truck or moving dolly go-kart. I just had to do the wiring pretty much and fine-tune some small stuff um to get it finished.
00:20:04
Speaker
And it was just really hard because, you know, when I was home, Henry was asleep, but, you know, then he would wake up and I couldn't really not be in the house, if you know what I mean? So, you know, the days I was home, I forced myself to be in the house with him. We watched some movies and stuff and we tried to, you know, make the most of the time we had. Um,
00:20:33
Speaker
But then, yeah, the struggle was like knowing that I, I would really like to get this project finished. It's right on the vinegar stroke, you know, to get it done. And, you know, I really wanted to test it on the weekend. So I managed to get it all together, which is so, feels so good. I was so skeptical, skeptical, that's not a word, ah skeptical about like all my design features on it. Like, are they going to work? Did I screw up real bad on this? Like the wiring, like the wiring runs all underneath the seat and the engine is right underneath the seat as well. So, you know, I'm like worried about wiring melting and things not working and
00:21:26
Speaker
Like, yeah, I was just worried, worried, worried. And then I think it was Thursday. Yeah, have Thursday, I managed to get all the wiring finished and I started up and I just drove it down to the local school and gave it a rip.
00:21:42
Speaker
um And you know, there were no were no kids there. It was five o'clock in the afternoon. All right. Yeah. ah What was sick about it was that when you slam it into second gear, it does a wheelie.
00:22:00
Speaker
so Which is fun as. I did notice like when I saw some, I think I saw like an Instagram story. ah Like you're sitting quite high. You got a pretty high center of gravity in that thing.
00:22:15
Speaker
So yeah, and the engine's quite close to the rear axle as well. So like it's in front of the rear axle. So yeah, you have a lot of weight on the back. So it's easy. Like I haven't really properly tried to do a wheelie in it because I don't want to like kind of damage it, if you know what I mean.
00:22:33
Speaker
Yeah, but nice thing, good thing you got that tray that you welded on the back. Yeah, well, that was the idea, right? Like a wheelie bar. It's like a protection for wheelies. Yeah, go too far. Yeah. So, yeah, I was just so ecstatic about it actually working, but there was an issue. ah You know, i ah it kept on pulling to the left.
00:23:01
Speaker
And so I was like, why is it trying to steer left all the time? I don't understand. So like I pulled, pulled it back in the garage. I was adjusting the tie rods and I was like adjusting the stereo. I guess maybe it's like too much, you know, the wheel elements, you know, steering too much to the left or something like this. And so I changed it back then I went and took it out again, test it again, sell same problem.
00:23:27
Speaker
And then I was thinking like, something has to be wrong here. And... What was it? It turned out that the geometry of the the cart was off. So I didn't use a jig or anything to make sure the alignment was right. You know, I like to use my like, yeah, she looks good type of...
00:23:50
Speaker
oh But I've learned a lesson there because, you know, if I'm going to build more go-karts or vehicles of some sort, especially ones that go fast, like the one I have planned, like I think geometry needs to be bang on. Yeah. So, yeah, so that was ah the issue was ah So on one side, on the left side, the distance between the front wheels and the back wheels was five millimeters different to the right side. Okay, so how do you adjust this? Like, do you have to cut something and weld it again? or
00:24:30
Speaker
I thought about that. I tried, I tried bending it too. I got this like ratchet strap and I was like, oh, I'm just going to crank on this thing and like, we'll get it so tight, you know, and you'll just bend. What did I do?
00:24:49
Speaker
I put so many welds on that part. It wasn't bending. It was solid as. So that was a good thing, I guess, in many respects, but it didn't it didn't change anything. So what I did was I adjusted for the the left turn or the you the left pulling with the steering. But I realized that like When you go fast, it doesn't really matter. It's only when you're going slow, you realize like, oh wait a second, it's pulling to the left. oh um So I just figured, you know what? I can shim the rear axle a little bit and close that down. So I got it down to three millimeters.
00:25:38
Speaker
you So it was better, but it was still there. And then I decided I was going to put the drift sleeves on just to to see what that did. because Can you explain to for those who don't know what a drift sleeve is? It's basically a giant PVC pipe. You slide over the top of the rear tires.
00:26:02
Speaker
on each side and it basically makes them super slippery. It's like driving on ice, but it allows you to slide sideways and drift. I mean, can you even, how easy is it to get the cart started moving forward? Is it just sit there and fuck a spin?
00:26:21
Speaker
Yeah, dude, it just does the burnout. if it does It does move, but if you gas it full, it just sits there and spins. There's a massive burnout. It's fun. Dude, it's so fun. So I ah knew everything kind of worked. I didn't test it that much. ah So
00:26:46
Speaker
I, a friend of mine came over last week and said, you know, you guys should join me with this like poker night. And I was saying to Kristen, like, Oh, I've got so much work to do. You know, we, Henry's been sick and she's like, no, you're going. I was like, Oh, I don't want to. And she's like, no, you have to go. Cause you're not social enough. Like you need to go out and be social with people. Yeah. It's like, um, like Garro's mole man soon enough.
00:27:19
Speaker
So I forced myself to go to this poker night ah with a friend of ours with like four or five other people that I had no idea who they were, which was actually really refreshing. oh um I realized... gins all no egypt curious Uh, yes, all Norwegians. Okay. Uh, the, my friend is American. So yeah. Yeah. So a lot of English being spoken there, which was nice. Uh, but I realized that I have a pretty shit poker face and that I probably didn't know the game as good as I thought I did. Right. Uh, I have to say though, how I lost.
00:28:06
Speaker
Like no one saw it coming. So I had in my hand a straight and a double. Right. In my hand. That's a freaking strong hand. And i so I went like all in. Let's go, baby. Let's go. And this other girl Veronica was on the side of the table and I'm like, she's got nothing. She's got nothing. Right. Right. She went all in too.
00:28:35
Speaker
I got five aces.
00:28:41
Speaker
She ended up having a flush and a double. ah The fucking wagon wheel. Yeah. and i I got completely done. and I lost all my money. and I was forced to look at everyone else spending my money. yeah
00:29:02
Speaker
Like, why don't we go? Are we talking like, uh, darling, um, um, we're not going to, uh, uh, be able to afford to eat this month. Are we talking like that kind of money? Or like we talking like, what was it buying? What are we talking about here? Uh, buying was 250. Yeah. But I, I may have bought in twice.
00:29:24
Speaker
ah
00:29:27
Speaker
Uh, yep. So I i did, uh, unfortunately lose a fair bit of money. Well, but I mean, yeah. I mean, I'm imagining that most people blow 500 crowns. I mean, fuck you can't even go out and buy two beers and a dinner in Norway for under 500 crowns. So, I mean, perspective here.
00:29:52
Speaker
That's true. But me being a Scrooge McScrooge. I'm just imagining there's like a room in the garage just full of money. We're just swimming around like Scrooge McDuck. I wish. You know, when I did the on Friday, I had to like get everything ready for testing on Saturday. And so I waited till a certain part of the time of night where I knew the petrol prices dropped so I could fill up the jerry cans. Like five liters or whatever. Like, I don't know why. I just, I'm such a tight arse. That's, that's our mother in a fucking nutshell.
00:30:35
Speaker
That's for sure. So, side note, ah like, mum was like, our mum was like a scrooge on petrol. Like, that was a like pet thing. Yeah. It's like she would literally drive for like fucking 20 kilometres because it was two cents cheaper per litre. I'm like, mum, you just burnt all the money you saved. Just getting there and back.
00:31:00
Speaker
Yep. There you go. Yep. So you you snuck out in the night to make sure you got the cheapest petrol prices for five litres. Well, ah in my defence, I wasn't quite ready to fill up the jerry cans like I hadn't sorted my shit out yet. So it just happened to be You know, like 9.30 at night where I realized like, I should go fill up the cherry cans. So I did. And I was like, Oh, look at that. The cheaper price than this morning. Lucky me. So it's all of like three crowns. Yeah. Yep. So yeah, I mean that the, the big, uh, big news from this week was testing on Saturday. And how did that go?

Go-Kart Testing Adventures

00:31:50
Speaker
How did it go?
00:31:51
Speaker
I'm so happy. Yeah. I, first out, before I start anything, I just want to shout out my patrons because I have pay, like, so I, I sent out an invitation to my patrons on patreon.com, uh, where I invited them to come to the testing and help me film. And they would also get a chance if they wanted to, to drive the go cut. If they wanted to, who came, it was like,
00:32:21
Speaker
No, I'm not going to drive the good car. There's actually two two guys, they were like scared.
00:32:31
Speaker
oh yeah So, yeah and then they both took their electric scooters home, is that what? They drove their Teslas. Yeah, right.
00:32:43
Speaker
No, I was, I was so happy that like, so I invited all my patrons and a bunch of them showed up and it was so, so nice to have people support what I'm doing and just be involved in what I'm doing. Like it's all well and good to like, you know, say like support me on Patreon and, and, and you kind of just put things out on there. You know, they get some sort of benefits, but to to be able to give back to them like in a physical sense of like coming with me to a like be part of the videos and things like that. I think I felt really good about that. Always poor guys in like the UK and stuff that are like your Patreons are like motherfucker. Where's he ever going to host an event in in the UK?
00:33:34
Speaker
Yeah, it's, it's called Ryanair motherfuckers. It's the cheapest fuck. Fly to, fly to Norway for what is it? 30 pounds or something. Yeah. Justin will put you up in the garage. Yeah, that's true. I got space. Yeah. You can literally sleep between the, you know, the TIG welder and the source. Hey, my Patreons would love that. Yeah. They probably fucking would. They would just be like, Oh man.
00:34:02
Speaker
It's a highlight of my week, month, year. I got to sleep in a garage around tools. yeah You're making my patrons sound like idiotic now, Garen. That's not, that's disrespectful. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Garage Avenger patrons. I, I appreciate you. I do. Cause I mean, Justin can't do what he's doing without you, really. That's true. I really appreciate them. So testing wasn't without some drama. Ooh, drama.
00:34:34
Speaker
detail I took, so where we test is like a, like a private kind of like small racetrack. Um, and the owner I know well. And so I sort of send him in, I talked to him this week and I, I messaged him and and say like, Hey, like we're going to go on Saturday at three o'clock.
00:35:01
Speaker
You know, and he's like, great, no problem. You know, have fun, enjoy yourself. You know, make sure you, you know, look after all the stuff we need to look after when we're there, right? ah And then I just happened to stumble across like a post from the Sandefjord Motor Club saying that they're going to be there doing drift training. a And I was like, oh no. Lucky I bought my drift sleeves. Yeah.
00:35:30
Speaker
But yeah, so we got there and there were like a bunch of cars drifting and and training like to drift out out on the track. ah Which, you know, it's really cool to see like there there these kids out there going mental and these like banged up drift cars enjoying themselves, ah just smoking up their tires. But I would just sort of say though,
00:35:58
Speaker
This became a problem later, as i'm ah ill I'll tell you. and Drama. So there was a lull in the in the in the cars going out. So I thought, right, this is our chance. We'll we'll go out, we'll go give this cart a shake down, right? oh Yeah, shake down.
00:36:20
Speaker
For those who don't know what a shakedown it is, it's kind of like a, like you give it a bit of stick, but you don't give it everything. Just to see if there's things that rattle loose or things that are like not real, fall off. Yeah, that wouldn't be the first time that's happened.
00:36:41
Speaker
That may or may not have happened with the pallet go-kart where I literally lost a wheel. Really? Yeah. I didn't see that in the footage. Why didn't you tell me that? I didn't, I didn't get it on footage. No one was filming. Literally the, way I watched the rear wheel but roll past me. That reminds me of the time the trailer dropped, like the toy bar dropped out of the back of the car when I was towing a trailer. It was like a moment where you're like, you eat your fucking heart. Your heart just jumps up into your fucking throat. You're like, holy fuck.
00:37:14
Speaker
Oh, so just explain. Was that, was there a moment when that happened, Kieran, where you're like, is that my trailer? Oh, so to explain the tow ball, like we have a tow ball on the car and it's like one of these removable ones that you can put in and out. And it has like a ball lock system inside it where like you you push it in and the balls kind of expand and it locks itself into position.
00:37:41
Speaker
But every year after winter when I put it back in, ah I always struggled to get it to lock into position. Now, like I was 98% certain it was like locked in, right? So I put the trailer on, I hopped up and down on the fucking tow ball, like nothing happened, didn't fall out, like whatever. So he drove like 10 kilometers with this trailer on.
00:38:05
Speaker
And nothing happened. We get to the place, this ah this hardware store, we're buying a new like playground for the kids. I load the playground up onto the onto the trailer and and then like lock it all down, pay for it, take a drive, start driving down, come up to about 60, 70 kilometers an hour. And at one point I just looked up in the mirror and I just watched the trailer just sailing past the fucking car, past the car.
00:38:36
Speaker
Like, and I was like, what the fuck? And then thankfully it went down into a ditch and not into oncoming traffic like fucking hell. And yeah, just sailed down into this like a ditch on the side of the road and hit a tree. And then there was a whole process there, but yeah, fuck that moment where you watching it fucking roll.
00:38:59
Speaker
out of the because literally the tow bar like just dropped out of the car like so not all the brakes like thing that normally is like it's it's attached to is all attached to that tow ball itself that actually fucking dropped out of the car. So it didn't even like break itself it just fucking just suddenly just started rolling by itself off the back of the car at 65 70 kilometers an hour. So yeah,
00:39:23
Speaker
I know that feeling just when you watch that that wheel or in my case trailer. Yeah, I mean, that that's horrifically scary, I think. I mean, I have the kids in the back of the car as well was like, fucking hell. Oh, yeah. Anyway.
00:39:42
Speaker
But getting back to the testing, I mean, things went reasonably well. I got the engine going and we I potted around a little bit just to do a warm up kind of lap just to see how things were. And then then I took a kind of a half blast did say and you know I came around this tight hairpin turn and then I like all of a sudden I get like splashed in the face.
00:40:15
Speaker
I was like, there's no water on the track. What's going on? I see the fuel tank flying off. The fuel tank. Yeah. The fuel tank's at the front of this go-kart. Yeah. And it somehow loosened itself and fallen off the go-kart and the fuel hose yeah that was on it was whipping or splashing fuel in my face.
00:40:47
Speaker
Just like, just somehow imagining like a burning monk scenario, we were running around on fucking fire. boy oh Thank Christ, that didn't happen. Geez. Yeah. So I stopped the car, the engine was still running because it had enough fuel in the fuel line. All right. And so I switched the engine off, I ran, I jumped out of the car, pulled the pick the tank, of the tank back up, yeah put it back on, started it back up again, rolled it back in. and We went, and we had to fix that before, you know, fell off again. Was there fuel all over the track then?
00:41:28
Speaker
No, no, no, it didn't like because, ah because it's only like a very small pipe on it that, you know, so the the tank didn't bust open, thankfully. It just, you know, it fell off and the the fuel hose was like spraying fuel in my life. I'm just imagining like it's fucking spilled fuel everywhere. And so I'm like, fucking 15 year old comes around with his car, fucking drifting. It sets the whole thing on fire. And then there's like,
00:41:55
Speaker
The burning inferno drift cars and yeah. The only inferno was going to be me because that's where all the fuel went. It was like splashed all over me. I was like, ah, I was like, oh, my eye. So we rolled in. But because I was like, because the fuel tank had fallen off, I was like, you know what, we'll just go, I'll like cut across the track. Right. Right.
00:42:24
Speaker
And, you know, I gave it a little bit of stick, not very much, but I didn't, i I sort of cut across the track. And this is what I was talking about before with the drifters and they're all there. So as I'm cutting across the track, I realized this was a fatal mistake because as I'm rolling through the sort of outside of the turns. Right.
00:42:49
Speaker
My tires are picking up all the the rubber that's come off the drifters tires. You know what I was thinking about this. I'm like back in my head there's burning tires a lot of yep okay yep and it's flicking in my face I got it in my eye I was like ah I can't say I've got fuel and rubber in my eye ah fuck ah So I had to go find some safety glasses to wear when I was driving this thing, just in case I went off the line and got this rubber shit in my face again.
00:43:27
Speaker
And, you know, when we got it back into the into the pit area, that the tray, you know, in the back of it, it was filled with rubber. Yeah, it was filled with rubber. There was so much shit flying at me. It was c incredible.
00:43:45
Speaker
So we fixed it. Everything was good. Some drifters went out again. We timed it. I went out again. And this time I gave it everything. And holy crap. It is a scary machine, man. Like, I don't even have enough power technically in the like, in the engine. Like I could, so I found out this week also that I have a intake manifold that's actually too small for the engine. Right.
00:44:15
Speaker
So it's it's actually restricting the air going in. So I bought a new one, of course. Of course. But I don't think I'd need to. It was scary enough. I was thinking it was like the Palette guy go-cart. You could barely get into fucking second and third gear before you've shat yourself.
00:44:34
Speaker
yeah I'm like, yeah, just what this, this small, even smaller, more compact thing needs with a smaller wheelbase definitely needs more power.
00:44:49
Speaker
So I gave it absolute stick and I, to be honest, like I didn't notice it was pulling it all to left. It was just so much fun and it was like you could throw it into corners as long as you put your body weight in the right position, it just hugged. I got it up on the two wheels a couple of times.
00:45:09
Speaker
But that was mainly because my body weight wasn't in the right position. um But yeah, I mean, I just had so much fun on it. It was so good. And then, you know, unfortunately, I came back into the pits and realized that oil cooler had fallen off. It had fallen off. It was still attached, but it was just dragging on the front. I had no idea. You were too busy enjoying yourself. Yeah, I was too busy and enjoying myself.
00:45:39
Speaker
Thankfully, it didn't damage it and we didn't have oil anywhere. Well, that's good. So we bolted it back on. And then I thought, you know what, it's time to give my patrons a bit of a go. don Hold on, just a second. Lefty loosey righty tighty, like. i what I thought you checked all these fucking bolts and stuff. Dude, don't get started on me. Lock tight. Lock tight. Yeah. Okay. There was that.
00:46:08
Speaker
That I agree with because that's a end up that's what I ended up doing. I ended up lock-tiding those bolts. Yeah. Because like with the engine, it vibrates everything. So it doesn't matter what how tight you do things, like they just vibrate loose. And that, you know, so on where that bolt's in, it's literally got 10 millimeters of thread. So if it starts loosening, it just goes straight out. So. Yeah.
00:46:32
Speaker
I end up using green Loctite, so I'm basically never getting those bolts out ever again. like I think I'll reuse this engine. Nope. Nope. It's staying there forever. I'm cutting it out. Yeah, yeah basically.
00:46:47
Speaker
So yeah, um i thought I thought I'd give the patrons a go and dude, it was so nice. It was so nice that like the first guy Thomas drove it and you you couldn't get the smile off his face. You know, like it was so nice to see like he was so ecstatic about it, the chance to drive it. And then when he actually drove it, like I put a GoPro on his face.
00:47:15
Speaker
on his face? Well, you know, I put a 360 camera on the the visor of the helmet. Right. Okay. Yeah. And so I was looking over the footage yesterday and it was so fun to watch because he, like his face is just smile ear to ear. ah Whereas when when I looked at my own footage, I was like concentrating. yeah yeah know I didn't look like I was having that much fun. But that's like you and me have this thing, right? It's like when we're focused, we look like we're fucking miserable.
00:47:49
Speaker
Yeah, he was like, internally, you're like, fuck yeah, this is amazing. And then on the outside, you're just like, mm, yep, mm, I think it could be better. On my, you just see my eyes in the footage, they were like, really like, they were narrowed in. Yeah. And it looked like I was nearly angry. ah When I used to work in bars, because I could dealing with drunk fuckwits all the time, you know, like,
00:48:15
Speaker
ah especially in Norway, when people go out to drink fire out. And I'm like, people will be like, smile. When you smile, like I'm ah like, I'm like, fuck you. Like, I'm not fucking miserable. I'm just trying to deal with all you fuck wits all the time. Yeah. Anyway, sorry.
00:48:33
Speaker
Yep. So focused, you were definitely enjoying yourself internally though, yeah? A hundred percent, but I mean, like I said, when I got to see the footage and I saw them after they drove the car as well, right? You know, and the, how much they loved the experience. I just thought, oh man, this is what it's all about. You know, this is what I was sharing, like this crazy invention thing that you've created, you know, with people.
00:49:02
Speaker
and they can appreciate it and have a lot of fun and you know so that I thought that was really great uh and I had another amazing guy Christophe come he was doing all the drone footage yeah I haven't actually seen it yet but like if it's like he helped me with uh the shopping cart and the palette go cart yeah sweet do the drone footage and if it's anything like that it's going to be Awesome. So I'm just so grateful for all these amazing people that came to help. And, you know, hopefully the video will do it justice. Um, awesome I did, I just so, so grateful and it's so nice. I kind of really want to share the go-kart with more people.
00:49:55
Speaker
So that, you know, I can share the joy that I know it can bring. But to be honest, it's a little dangerous to share with people. I can't just like roll it to my friend's house and be like, hey, you should drive this. And then they pretty much drive it and die. yeah It's kind of fast. Like we didn't, I didn't put a GPS or anything on it to see how fast we're actually driving.
00:50:20
Speaker
But, you know, it was a lot faster than the pallet go-kart and the pallet go-kart. Well, because the pallet go-kart would weight a fucking ton, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. or Like basically four pallets just fucking weighing that thing down. Hmm. Yeah. The the frame.
00:50:39
Speaker
weighed probably like maybe four, five kilos. Yeah, right. You know, and the rest is just fucking engine. Yeah, exactly. Right. Yeah. And that whereas like the pallets themselves weighed like easily 50 kilos. Yeah. Yeah. So the power to weight was so different. So I imagine that like in fourth gear, when you get a bit of a wind up, you could easily do like 80 kilometers an hour. Yeah. Fucking hell.
00:51:07
Speaker
Yeah, so it's not, and it's such a short wheelbase too. On a trolley. Yeah. On a box trolley.
00:51:17
Speaker
ah Fucking hell. That's amazing. Dude, it is so cool. Like, yeah, and the other thing too was that people, ah so I didn't hear this, but the the guys that were with me, you know, they heard the drifter guys, you know, like talking and stuff. Uh, when I was out on track and stuff and they all wanted one, they said, they're like, dude, everyone was just saying like how cool that was. And like, how, you know, maybe like the, does he make them to sell them or whatever, right? Yeah. Yeah. They would buy one. So I was like, 500,000. Yeah.
00:51:58
Speaker
1 million credits. Um, yeah. So that was so good. Cause I just, it was nice to get that feedback from other people that were not even included in the, in the project, right? They just saw it and they thought it was really cool. so Yeah, dude, that that's been my week. Uh, you know, I just, I've had such an amazing week, it just seems like not very much has been yanking my chain. Would you like that? It was good. It wasn't exactly subtle.
00:52:43
Speaker
ah So what is yanking? If there's not much yanking your chain, what is the much that is yanking your chain? Okay, so I was a poker knight, like I talked about, and one of the guys works for Kongsberg Group, right? Right. And that they are like, they're ah their defense company? yeah there's a Yeah, they're a defense company, right? Yeah.
00:53:09
Speaker
And he was talking about how, oh yeah, we just sold like $1.2 billion dollars worth of like surface-to-air missiles to Australia. You know, it's like ah we are, little Norway, you know, everyone sees this as this like liberal, you know, peacekeeping country, yet we manufacture and develop weapons that kill people. Like, I mean, properly kill people. And it's a massive industry here. It's huge. And like Kongsberg Group, like they're like selling shit to the Americans, they're selling the shit so everywhere, yeah? Yeah, they're just printing money pretty much. I mean, I feel like
00:54:00
Speaker
You know, you can't stand on your high horse here and say like, we're such a peace and loving country when we're one of the biggest exporters of like deadly weapons. Are we? Are you Norway the big, like, are they? Well, no, per capita we are for sure. Okay. Yeah. right That I can see. I mean, we're only five, 5.2 million or something now. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I like to see that. so Like fucking three missiles per person or whatever.
00:54:30
Speaker
No, it's probably like 20 or 100 per person. It's so much dude. Like we're talking crazy big money. And I'm just thinking like, we haven't really gone that far from the Viking times.

Norway's Defense Industry Discussion

00:54:42
Speaker
Like, you know, back in the Viking times they were going over and raping and pillaging no other lands. Now we're just sending missiles over there. Yeah. but Yeah. Well, we're not the ones firing them though. That's the difference. Yeah, but we're enabling it. So that's what's yanking my chain. I just think enabling of the war machine.
00:55:01
Speaker
Yeah, 100% yank in your chain. What's yank in your train, Kurt? Well, like I said to you before, I was gonna be like, ah just there's ah there's a whole bunch of family stuff that's going on. But they I was yanking my chain. ah Have you ever seen that show Ted lasso?
00:55:25
Speaker
Yeah. Great show. Yeah. Fantastic show. like That's like kind of like, that'd be like an unofficial check this out. If you haven't seen Ted Lasso, it's on Apple TV plus. I'm sure you could probably stream it all somewhere. m Ted. This podcast is supported by Apple TV plus. yeah Watch Ted Lasso live.
00:55:50
Speaker
streaming now um yeah no Ted Lasso um he has this great line in in the series uh where he says that uh that he tries not to be judgmental he tries to be curious and um and i just like that man that rings so true for me like curiosity like we gotta be more curious far out Like, so like I went to this, I went to this family get together thing from one of like my wife, Lynn, her cousin. ah She has this, had a big birthday thing. We went to this big like kind of hit the complex, like a camping plus and the entire family was there, right? And some extended friends and things like that doing something for her birthday. And I'm just like,
00:56:46
Speaker
You know, there's Lynn and I, you know, and just no one talks. Like, no one's like, we're family. Like, and there's a lot, there's a bunch of people there that like, I don't know well, but like, no one goes out of their way to talk to you, find figure out, like, I feel like maybe, it's maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like if this is like putting an Australian scenario, everyone will be like talking to each other all the time, like, hey, I don't know you. What's your name?
00:57:15
Speaker
You know, where are you from? Oh, Norway? Well, I mean, it's cold up there, eh? You know, then there will be like, ah I don't know anything about Norway. Tell me all about Norway. You know, there will be like a sense of curiosity around, you know, people.
00:57:30
Speaker
wanting to know more about things you know but like generally too like people just I mean people are so happy with the status quo it just blows my mind. I'm like why aren't we more curious? Why like may the world would be a better place if we're just more curious about like not like looking at things at surface level and just being like Hey, like, why is that like that? You know, can we make it better? Like, that's that's like the substance that makes existence enjoyable. So it fucking yanks my chain when people are not curious. Like, why don't we just get on with each other better? Fucking hell. But, you know, Karen, we need people like that, weirdly.
00:58:19
Speaker
But we need we need people that are just cheap, because that makes us look cooler.

Curiosity vs. Judgment

00:58:29
Speaker
I'm sorry to say, but I'll take fucking not being cool over a lack of curiosity, like fucking it just like because like the the sub, the other side of it is like judgment, like people looking at each other, judging each other, making other people feel shit about each other.
00:58:49
Speaker
like, you know, this kind of thing, like, and I just think that that's fucked, like, fuck off, just get more curious. You know, the world is a better place if you're just more curious.
00:59:03
Speaker
Yeah. Fair enough. Yeah, just yeah. So if you're out there just and you're like, oh, that guy or that thing or that whatever, like go and ask some questions, figure it out. Yeah, I have to say though, because I've been trying this thing about saying hello to people, random strangers. Yeah. ah And just like going down like a sinking ship in Norway. Yeah, but it does. It does. You know what?
00:59:31
Speaker
You get, you get what you put out in the world. Right. right So I'm going to say hello to people. And if they don't choose to ignore me, that that's fine. yeah But the one person that needs it will, you know, appreciate it. So like, for example, the other day I saw this dude at the at the shops, right?
00:59:55
Speaker
And he just like, he had this like energy about him, right? he He looked like pretty cool. And he was wearing this jacket and it looked fucking tough ass, right? correct So I'm like, ah so I just said hello. I'm like, hey, good morning. And then he's like, he just sort of acknowledged me and I and i just sort of said to him, like in Norwegian, like, I just want to say your jacket's super cool, man.
01:00:23
Speaker
Have a great day. And that's all I said to him, right? yeah But you know what? If that made his day, then I'm very happy. yeah as a we if If he thought I was some weirdo commenting about his jacket, like so be it. I can't control how he thinks.
01:00:40
Speaker
right But I want to be able to provide that to the world, right? Where I just give people the confidence to be themselves, right? And when you see someone owning it and being themselves and you give them that feedback loop, they will they will do it more. yeah So i I feel like that ah definitely is something that I could do more and I want to do more of. Just literally walk past people and say, hello,
01:01:11
Speaker
that comment from from you as you pass him by, you know, that could like change that guy's life. 100%. That could blow his mind.
01:01:26
Speaker
Should I do it first? or yeah you you go Well, Karen, The only thing that blows my mind is just the amount of support I've had ah during testing this weekend. I mean, who would want to support a fucking cool guy making mad shit in their garage, really? ah So it blows my mind that I had a bunch of dudes, you know, that are literally supporting me already on Patreon. Yeah.
01:01:58
Speaker
uh, that they wanted to come and support me and be part of what I do. And the other thing that blew my mind is that the go-kart didn't break. Like it did we didn't have a terminal failure. Like, okay, we had some things fall off, but we fixed them. And then, you know, after that, you know, it was great. You know, so I think i've ah for me, I'm really happy that, you know, the people came and the go-kart you know, didn't have any catastrophic failures. And I feel like, yeah, that was my mind blown this week. Mind blown. You know what's blowing my mind? do and I was out in the garden the other day.
01:02:46
Speaker
And like, the you know, we've recently like, redone some stuff in our garden with like, new new grass and things like that. And I put down a bunch of like, cow shit as fertiliser. That's why. Yeah. Yeah. So suddenly, like, things start growing in the grass. And I'm like,
01:03:08
Speaker
This is a strange looking mushroom. I haven't seen one of these before.
01:03:15
Speaker
There's there's magic mushroom growing in my grass in the backyard. That's like Aaron. Or at least I think they're magic mushrooms. Like, I don't know. I've never done anything and like that before. So I'm like, but I'm yeah i'm like, that like here in Norway, like that shit just like you can literally just they just grow in the grass.
01:03:39
Speaker
You know, so I'm just like in magic mushrooms growing at the local school in on the football pitch.
01:03:49
Speaker
Oh, man. And like, the beautiful thing about Norwegians, right? Like they've done this great like information campaign where they managed to scare the shit out of anyone, like trying it like anything that's not a contre l'ora or a fucking sign. So, you know, like a regular, you know, eating mushroom, they like they So that nobody even like, everyone was like, I don't know what it is. So I'm not even going to look at it, you know, just not even touch it. And like, I was also realizing, fuck, I've got like, I don't know.
01:04:19
Speaker
I don't know how many grams like i have of magic mushrooms. Like I picked them too. I picked them because I didn't want the kids to like be like, especially like Liam, he runs around on the grass and stuff and picks shit up. I'm like, I didn't want him to be like picking up mushrooms and just like jumping on this all of a sudden I got a hallucinating kid or whatever. Or I mean, probably at for his age, you'll probably fucking kill him.
01:04:41
Speaker
So I was just like, fuck, I better pick these things up. And then just like, really, I'm walking around the garden with like a handful of magic mushrooms. I'm like, this shit's just going in my backyard. This is crazy. Dry that, dry that shit out, Kieran, and then sell it to some teenagers. I wouldn't be able to live with the cod. I mean, fucking hell.
01:05:03
Speaker
I mean, actually, I mean, this is the thing. There's always that like one percent doubt in your mind of like, is this actually a magic mushroom? Like, is this like is like could this be something that looks very similar and will literally just fucking kill you, you know?
01:05:18
Speaker
And there's nothing you can do about it if you ingest it. So I'm like, that shit keeps me away from ever thinking like, oh, I'm just going to drop some fucking mushroom and have a good time. You know, not to mention like the potential mind bending stuff that can break your brain. Like that, that, uh, that scares me. Yeah, I get that. i i guess Yeah. Like,
01:05:42
Speaker
But I am curious, like I have to be honest, I am curious about these things. Well, I mean, you've heard a lot about it like magic mushrooms being like psilocybin, it's called, it's being yeah good for PTSD and good for depression and things like that. So there has to be something in it and you hear about people doing micro dosing and all this sort of stuff. So, I mean, it can't be all bad.
01:06:08
Speaker
nine No, no. And I think because what's really fascinating for me is is that there's like a common thread if you're taking LSD or away from what I've read and heard from people like magic mushrooms, LSD, all these things. Like there's a real sense of union with creation, with the world, with nature. Like that's a kind of like a common theme that goes on. And I find that really fascinating.
01:06:36
Speaker
um because that like kind of comes to some underpinning beliefs about the world we live in. So I'm just like, I'm curious, but also shitting myself. I don't think I'd ever, I don't think I'd ever, I definitely wouldn't do fucking LSD. Jesus Christ. I think like, I think I would,
01:06:56
Speaker
freak out. I would have a bad trip. If I took LSD, I would have a bad trip because I've been thinking about the fact that I'd be having a bad trip. Yeah, that's why you just got to get someone to sneak it in. yeah So you don't know you're actually tripping yet. ah Right. you know mean that That would just, even I think that would probably work. I just think I'd be losing fucking control. Like just be like, you know, like it's bad enough if I drink fucking too much and I hate, you know, like lying in bed and my fucking head spinning at night. Like that's bad enough for me sometimes. I'm just like, you know what? I'll leave the hard stuff to people who feel like they can actually handle it. So, yep.
01:07:35
Speaker
But that's pretty mind blowing. I think still that like there's magic mushrooms growing in my backyard. ah oh Mind altering drugs just growing in the back. but yeah Potentially, Karen. Potentially. Potentially, sorry. Could also be poison. Could also be my impending death.
01:07:57
Speaker
if i I were to ingest them. So, I mean, they're pretty crazy. Like, I mean, it's pretty normal in Norway that like you could just literally mosey on down the street and then find some magic mushies just grow in there. So, mind blown. what for To wrap this one up, what ah what are you going to

Beer Recommendations

01:08:18
Speaker
recommend? What are you getting people to go check out? All right. So I've been thinking about this for a while, like,
01:08:26
Speaker
Beer, obviously that's my world. um But one of the breweries that I kind of respect the most in and look up to the most pretty much in the whole world is a brewery that's based out of Wellington, New Zealand. And that's Garage Project. Ironically, Garage Project, not Garage Avenger, but Garage Project um based out of Wellington. I actually been to the brewery um I took a trip there and met Pete Gillespie, the head brewer, fantastic, fucking lovely guy, used like, you know, three or four hours out of his normal workday to just show me around and like show me stuff, give me fucking fuck tons of beer. And like they got some mad stuff going on the wild workshop that they're doing with wild um bacteria, fermentations and things like that.
01:09:24
Speaker
And then they've also got fucking epic beers themselves. So if you could find yourself a garage project beer, if you go to a shop bottle shop somewhere and you see something by a garage project, do yourself a favor and buy it. Like I don't think I've tasted a single beer from them that haven't just been like, fuck, this is amazing.
01:09:47
Speaker
Um, but like, especially if you find one of their IPAs mixed with their house sour fermentation, that is some next level shit. Like amazing, amazing flavor complexity. So if you can find some of those garage project beers, do yourself a favor. That's check it out. If, if, if you see them anywhere, ask your bottle shop, uh, wherever you're at.
01:10:17
Speaker
If you're in Norway, they stopped importing here for a while. Don't know if they've got stuff in the UK. They've definitely got stuff in in Australia. So if you're listening in Australia, um but yeah, check it out, garage project.
01:10:32
Speaker
fucking awesome. So what you basically said just now is that ah we should throw you off the podcast and we should put Pete Gillespie on instead. I'm honored if I will serve be replaced by Pete Gillespie. Let's be honest here. ah Yeah, I mean, the garage Avenger and garage project together. Wow. Fucking I would just sit and I would just listen.
01:10:57
Speaker
Like, all my dreams of narcissism would dissipate.
01:11:05
Speaker
ah Yeah, so that's me. And by the way, Joss, I checked out Sassy Sasquatch. Did you? You just fucking wasted so much of my life. I was like, I'll watch another episode. Maybe it'll get good. It didn't.
01:11:26
Speaker
um I don't know what you saw in that show. Far out. It's so good. I don't know what you're talking about. Oh, man. ah Not my best cake. that's a good stuff Well, yeah. but For my side, I think people should go check out ah Grind Hard Plumbing Co. It's a Grind Hard Grind Hard Plumbico. Yeah, it's ah it's a YouTube channel. ah They're building cool machines, ah mainly like off-road vehicles and stuff, ah but like next level stuff. Really cool fabrication. ah The boys that are building stuff there, it's it's a real like down-to-earth, very technical type of YouTube videos where they sort of show you all the detail of what they're actually doing and how they're thinking about things.
01:12:20
Speaker
So, yeah, I think Grind Hard Plumbing Co, I highly recommend you just... Minko? Like, why is it called Plumbing Co? Like, Grind Hard, I can understand maybe, but like, Plumbing? What are they plumbers? They are not plumbers. that I think that that's what they thought would just be a funny name, I think. And then to just start feeling them, that's what they they stayed with. So... Grind Hard Plumbing Co. Yeah. All right. Yeah.
01:12:49
Speaker
So that's my recommendation for this week. ah Thank you everybody for checking out the podcast for week three. I guess we will see you next time and keep you updated with what's going on in our garages. Yep. Thanks for listening.
