Introduction to 'How We Think' Podcast

00:00:09
Speaker
Welcome to How We Think, the podcast where we unravel the mysteries of human thought to help you become more intentional, effective and impactful in both your personal and professional lives. I am Neha Indoria and I have the amazing Bhavna Vasti with me. Hey Bhavna, how are you doing? Very well Neha, very excited to be here. Thank you so much, I'm excited too.

Creating Meaningful Conversations

00:00:34
Speaker
And what would you like to, what's your take on our little podcast?
00:00:40
Speaker
Yeah. We started out saying, we want to do a podcast. You said, yeah, I want to do a podcast. I said, yeah, I've also been thinking of doing a podcast. And quickly got onto a space of, it has to be a conversation. It has to be light and yet meaningful. It has to be like how we are. And that's how we landed on how we think.
00:01:11
Speaker
I'm excited that we are going to do, at least we are hoping to do many, many podcasts, many episodes. And through these episodes, I want to create conversations where others are part of our conversations by way of messaging or interacting with us, sending us emails. But also through these conversations, the idea is to generate some inner dialogues
00:01:40
Speaker
and with new awareness about how we think, really get the change going within.
00:01:49
Speaker
Yeah, I absolutely agree with you Bhavna. I mean, when I first started

Motivations and Inspirations for the Podcast

00:01:53
Speaker
thinking about doing this podcast, you know, I'll be honest, largely it came from a place of creating insightful content to build my own brand. But as we started talking, you know, and we started working on the first podcast, it was clear to me that firstly, there's so much to learn for myself. And then the fact that
00:02:13
Speaker
you know, if you're creating impact, then maybe if we can create impact for just for those five people that we are privileged to have as our listeners, and thus our intention clearly became the navigating force of this endeavor, or rather the transformative power of intentional thinking. I mean, you know, it's not just about talking about how we think or talking about thinking positively. It's about understanding the patterns, the biases, and the processes that shape our thoughts.
00:02:43
Speaker
Yeah, true that. And you know, before we begin this journey, I would like to give a shout out to Rakesh Mathuria. Big thank you. I think when we both started talking about this, he was the one person that came to my mind because he's done this successfully.
00:03:03
Speaker
And I'm glad that he could take out an hour for us and guide us. Also tell us things that we are seeing now happen with us, like how to record and what are the logistics like and all of that. So Rakesh, thank you so much for being there for us and guiding us in that state, in that stage of our podcast journey.
00:03:26
Speaker
And we did promise you that we will not let it die a natural death. And we will show up and we will create the first podcast. And while it is just an introduction of why we're doing it and who we are, this is the first podcast. And I'm very happy and proud about it. Yeah, absolutely. Took us a little longer than we would have expected to. Yeah. And that's what's important. And so, yeah, thank you, Rakesh.
00:03:55
Speaker
happy to let you know that we are here. Our first episode is out and there are so many, many more to come and that gives millions and billions of followers.

Exploring Core Topics

00:04:06
Speaker
Essentially, what we are trying to do here is we're trying to share what we have learned, share our experiences and our conversations with experts. And we are hoping to empower folks to navigate
00:04:19
Speaker
the complex landscape of your own mind, if you may, whether you're a leader or an entrepreneur or someone who's seeking personal growth, this is the podcast for you. So it's a little teaser of the topics that we're about to explore. We will talk about success, what it means to us, imposter syndrome, and how that contributes to how we see ourselves, and in turn, how others see us.
00:04:44
Speaker
Yeah, and Neha, don't forget we also have surprise segments which are simply about us challenging each other's thinking or creating fun or creating these thought-provoking exercises for our listeners. And as of now, I don't know how that is going to sound like or look like, but it's in the works. So that is also something that is going to happen here. Yeah.
00:05:12
Speaker
I mean, I think the surprise segments would mostly be surprising for each other because we're going to challenge each other with some fun games along the way. And yeah, it should make for a great listen, is all I can say.

Hosts' Personal Journeys

00:05:28
Speaker
But why don't you go to telling folks a little bit about us? So Bhavna, here you go. Hmm. A little bit about me. Okay.
00:05:41
Speaker
I am Bhana Vasti, and I think it's essential to talk about the credentials that I hold, but I feel, and I'm that touchy-feely, emotional person. I am called Bhana for Pete's sake. So while I can talk about my credentials, I feel like I need to talk about who I am.
00:06:08
Speaker
And I am many things and this has been a personal journey where it's been about discovering who I am and I feel like I can be defined by many words. Like I'm a wanderer, an explorer, I'm a learner. I'm very curious and that makes me a great student of life. I also believe in love.
00:06:36
Speaker
gratitude, forgiveness, and most of all compassion and empathy. I'm a proud mum. My daughter is 17 years old and I think now I can say it, I am also a transition and leadership coach and love being the catalyst of change for others.
00:07:02
Speaker
Thank you. That is an awesome introduction, as expected. And it also encapsulates this fun yin yang that we have going. Because when I was thinking about my introduction, of course, I started with professional life.
00:07:23
Speaker
Yeah, of course. I mean, I am a recent executive and leadership coach, which is why I keep saying that there is so much more to learn. And the journey towards executive coaching is something that started after almost 18 years in the corporate and startup space. I spent last eight years building Boeing. It's a beautiful, functional, whimsical old to my daughter, who's eight.
00:07:51
Speaker
And prior to that, I spent about 10 years working with different organizations, HSBC Infosys and mostly in sales. And so yeah, so professional life has been a big part of my introduction at all. But personally, I'm a mom, I'm a wife, I'm a friend. I unwind when I cook and I paint and my one true passion
00:08:17
Speaker
I think that's been the first discovery in the coaching journey is that my one true passion is to bring new ideas to life. So now I'm working on creating my third entrepreneurial venture. And of course, my biggest joy is to host this podcast with you. I concur that joy is
00:08:38
Speaker
is felt, heard, seen. I'm sure it will be felt, heard and seen by our listeners as well.

Engagement and Invitations

00:08:50
Speaker
Of course. Seeing will also come because then we'll move to video podcasts. Oh my God, that's the pain of my existence. So while we have
00:09:07
Speaker
All right, so while we have talked about who we are, we actually would also like to know you more. We want you to share thoughts and what brought you here and what you found meaningful in our conversations.
00:09:20
Speaker
You could also write to us in the comment section if you want us to take up a topic that you would want to hear more about. You can find us on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, or other places where you listen to your podcasts. We would love it even more if you subscribe. So as we begin this journey, we thank you for your time and patience and we hope to see you again next week where we talk about how we think. Bye-bye. How we think.
00:09:50
Speaker
Bye-bye.
