Enhancing Male Hormonal Function

00:00:00
Speaker
Okay. So in this video, I'm going to give you my best current strategies for improving male hormonal function. So basically the, the androgen, the testosterone and keeping estrogen low. Right. So, and that's really.
00:00:18
Speaker
the basics of it. What you want to do to optimize male sex hormone function, just to be specific, where you we're optimizing sex hormone um ah levels and stuff like that. What you want to do is provide substrate that can be converted into testosterone and potentially DHT, dihydro-tistosterone, the most, quote, unquote, potent um androgen. And that that one cannot be aromatized into estrogen, which is what's nice about it, right? But testosterone

Preventing Testosterone Conversion to Estrogen

00:00:55
Speaker
can. So we want to provide the precursors for this androgenic pathway
00:01:01
Speaker
But at the same time, we want to make sure that we don't go down the estrogenic pathways, right? Because a lot of these precursors can, if the conditions in the body ah are ripe for it, can be turned into estrogen, even testosterone.
00:01:20
Speaker
And that is, I think that's a big issue with guys that are going on testosterone replacement therapy because, okay, you can get your injection once a week and you get whatever, a hundred, maybe 150 milligrams of testosterone, which first of all, the whole, just that that that whole thing is you're dependent on a doctor.
00:01:39
Speaker
You have to get the prescription. it's It's easy enough nowadays to get it, but then you have to inject yourself, which sucks. And then you're dependent on that supply chain. Then the stuff we use is over the counter. it you know you don't You don't need prescriptions for it and stuff like that. right So that's why I really like it. But the other problem is when you inject the testosterone,
00:02:00
Speaker
Think about him a man in his prime was making several milligrams of testosterone in a day. It's not a lot. So 100, 150 milligrams of testosterone. That is potentially a lot of substrate that can be turned into estrogen. And that's not a

Common Misconceptions About Testosterone

00:02:18
Speaker
good thing. And I think a lot of the effects of high testosterone are actually ascribed to the the testosterone. So the androgens are Ooga Booga bad, but it's actually the aromatization into estrogens that is probably causing a lot of those horrible things like um you know sleep problems and aggression and stuff like that. right so
00:02:40
Speaker
ah When you actually look look into it, it's not those hormones in in and of themselves are not ah causing aggression and stuff like that. It's when they get, they're so high chronically that they get aromatized into estrogens.

Inhibiting Estrogen Production

00:02:54
Speaker
So therein lies the trick we want to Ensure that the environment is not pro-estrogenic in the dude in the man. So to do that, we need to use things that are aromatase inhibitors and aromatase inhibitors. is the enzyme that makes estrogen. right And the thing is, ah we can block it with quite a lot of different compounds. So that's the other piece of the puzzle. So we want to provide the substrate for androgenic hormone production. We want to inhibit the aromatization by inhibiting the enzyme.
00:03:35
Speaker
And then we also want to ideally create a ah um an anti-estrogenic environment in the body, right so reduce estrogenic ah how do i say um if do so estrogenic potential. And there's a number of different things that can be estrogenic in the environment, in certain foods.
00:03:54
Speaker
stuff like that. right So we want ah we want to antagonize estrogen

Impact of Body Fat on Hormone Treatment

00:03:58
Speaker
as well. right so and yeah Of course, the longer term game is the health of the person needs to be in good shape because, like for example, if you have excess weight, if you have a lot of polyunsaturated fats in your tissues, these are creating an estrogenic potential in the body. right So a lot of fat cells because every fat cell in the body expresses the aromatase enzyme. It means the more extra fat a person has, the more potential for aromatization into estrogen, right? So even if that person is given an androgenic type thing, even if they're like put on testosterone, um what can happen is a lot of that testosterone will convert into estrogen.
00:04:41
Speaker
And that person's health stuff is likely to deteriorate. So that was kind of the little preamble.

Personal Testing and Androgenic Substrates

00:04:48
Speaker
Now I'm going to let you know what my current best protocols after some years of testing, I've tested quite a lot of different things from herbs and other things. So I've done a lot of stuff, some very stupid things as well. So you're going to learn from my mistakes as well. But I'll tell you what,
00:05:06
Speaker
my current best protocol is to increase androgenic production without the risk of it becoming etro estrogen. so the first thing like i said So the first thing we need is a substrate for androgenic production. yeah So the best thing that I've found is
