However, there were a few things I wish would have gotten into this book, but I didn't think of it until it was too late. :o) Oh well, maybe a second edition will be released if this one does well enough!  But you listeners of the Preacher Dad Podcast will get the extra scoop on the content that was left out. So listen in and be encouraged!

Introduction and Humor

00:00:13
Speaker
Hello, welcome to the Preacher Dad podcast.
00:00:15
Speaker
My name is Jared and I am the Preacher Dad.
00:00:19
Speaker
I blog over at PreacherDad.com where you can find biblical perspectives on everything from parenting to politics to preparation.
00:00:27
Speaker
And at PreacherDad.com we're trying to equip and inspire Christians in the West to engage in the culture war and make a difference.
00:00:36
Speaker
for the next generation in Christ's name and for his sake.
00:00:40
Speaker
I'm really glad to have you here today.
00:00:41
Speaker
Thank you for listening.
00:00:43
Speaker
I want to share with you, first of all, a couple dad jokes just to kind of make things interesting.
00:00:54
Speaker
First of all, I grew facial hair without telling anyone.
00:00:59
Speaker
It's my secret stash.
00:01:02
Speaker
I like that one.
00:01:04
Speaker
I like that one.
00:01:06
Speaker
This one says, I sat next to a baby for a 10-hour flight.
00:01:09
Speaker
I didn't think it was possible for someone to scream for 10 hours straight.
00:01:14
Speaker
Even the baby was impressed.
00:01:16
Speaker
I pull it off.
00:01:20
Speaker
Yes, sir.
00:01:21
Speaker
I've been watering my herbs with leftover coffee.
00:01:28
Speaker
Because I love coffee time.
00:01:32
Speaker
Time, get it?
00:01:34
Speaker
Time?
00:01:37
Speaker
Not bragging, but I made six figures last year.
00:01:40
Speaker
So they named me the worst employee at the toy factory.
00:01:47
Speaker
My dad said I always loved alphabet soup when I was young, but it was just him putting words in my mouth.
00:01:57
Speaker
Good stuff.
00:01:57
Speaker
Well, I hope that you're smiling.
00:02:00
Speaker
And I hope that you're having a good day, whether you're going home from work or whether you're on your way to work, or maybe you're off today and you're like, you know, I got some time.
00:02:09
Speaker
I'm just going to catch up on the preacher, Dad.

Writing 'Battle Plan' Insights

00:02:11
Speaker
I'm glad you're here.
00:02:13
Speaker
And, you know, I've been working hard on writing my first book, and it's called Battle Plan, How Christians Can Engage in the Culture War.
00:02:22
Speaker
And it's really a good way for Christians
00:02:29
Speaker
the regular guy, the regular, normal, average Christian to be able to figure out how to engage in the culture or how to do things that make a difference.
00:02:40
Speaker
It's not very long.
00:02:41
Speaker
It's a pretty simple, short read.
00:02:43
Speaker
And, you know, as I was thinking about it, I was thinking, you know, there's some things I wish I would have put in there that I forgot to put in there.
00:02:51
Speaker
Or I've just kind of, you know, thought about those chapters a little more recently.
00:02:58
Speaker
And thought there's some things I wish I would have added.
00:03:00
Speaker
So today's episode is things I wish I would have put in the book.
00:03:06
Speaker
And starting out with a scripture verse from Deuteronomy 20.
00:03:13
Speaker
This probably should have gone in the introduction.
00:03:17
Speaker
In Deuteronomy 20, verse 1, it says, When you go out to war against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and an army larger than your own, you shall not be afraid of them.
00:03:27
Speaker
For the Lord your God is with you, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.
00:03:33
Speaker
And when you draw near to the battle, the priests shall come forward and speak to the people, and shall say to them, Hear, O Israel, today you are drawing near for battle against your enemies.
00:03:43
Speaker
Let not your heart faint.
00:03:45
Speaker
Do not fear or panic or be in dread of them.
00:03:48
Speaker
For the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.
00:03:59
Speaker
And it goes on to talk about if anybody's afraid, let him go home so he doesn't make his brother's heart afraid like his is.
00:04:07
Speaker
And there's some other good stuff in there.
00:04:10
Speaker
But that's just an inspiring verse of Scripture that talks about the fact that the Lord has won the victory already.
00:04:17
Speaker
Why should we be afraid to go into battle when he has already won?
00:04:22
Speaker
And, you know, we need to realize that we are in a struggle against evil forces that have already lost.
00:04:31
Speaker
And we don't need to be afraid of the enemy.
00:04:34
Speaker
When we're standing with the truth, standing with God through the Scriptures, standing with the truth of the Word of God, we do not need to be afraid of the enemy.
00:04:44
Speaker
And we should be willing to engage with confidence and courage without fear of, well, what are they going to say about me?
00:04:53
Speaker
Or what are they going to think about me?
00:04:54
Speaker
Or how can we really do anything?
00:04:57
Speaker
It's all useless or pointless.
00:04:59
Speaker
I think that is a lie of the enemy.
00:05:02
Speaker
It's useless.
00:05:03
Speaker
It's pointless.
00:05:03
Speaker
There's no point.
00:05:05
Speaker
That is a lie of the enemy to keep good people on the sidelines out of the battle.
00:05:11
Speaker
And so we need to resist that type of thinking.
00:05:13
Speaker
That should have

Voting and Political Engagement

00:05:14
Speaker
been in the introduction.
00:05:14
Speaker
No question about it.
00:05:18
Speaker
The next chapter is called Vote.
00:05:20
Speaker
First chapter is Vote.
00:05:22
Speaker
And I think that something I would have liked to have put into the chapter, and if you want to know what's in the chapter, you have to buy the book, folks.
00:05:29
Speaker
Sorry about that.
00:05:31
Speaker
But I wish I would have put into that chapter some information about how to register to vote.
00:05:37
Speaker
You do have to register to vote in order to vote in every state.
00:05:41
Speaker
And so...
00:05:43
Speaker
I wish I would have put some information there about how to do that or ways that you can have a get out the vote campaign or ways, you know, instructions about how to chase down ballots and encourage people to vote and help them to vote.
00:05:59
Speaker
That would have been good.
00:06:01
Speaker
Maybe that'll be in the second edition.
00:06:04
Speaker
The next chapter is called Contact Your Congressman.
00:06:07
Speaker
And I did put some information in there about how to find out who your congressman is, federally at least.
00:06:16
Speaker
But it would have been good to have some stuff for the state legislators, and I'm not sure I really did that effectively.
00:06:23
Speaker
It would have been good to have some information about how to find out who are your local magistrates, your
00:06:29
Speaker
City councilmen, your mayors, your county councilmen, your county clerks, the judges, different things like that, elected officials in your local community.
00:06:40
Speaker
How can you find out who those people are?
00:06:42
Speaker
Well, that should have been in the book.
00:06:44
Speaker
And it's not gotten in there, and we finished the editing process, so it's going to have to just be in the second edition.
00:06:49
Speaker
But for you lucky listeners of the Preacher Dad podcast, you're getting a little extra today.
00:06:56
Speaker
So congratulations.
00:06:58
Speaker
Thank you for listening.
00:07:00
Speaker
Chapter three is run for office.
00:07:02
Speaker
Run for office.
00:07:03
Speaker
Now, this is going to be different in every municipality, in every state, in every county of the country.
00:07:09
Speaker
There's a little bit, usually some variance, some things that you have to do, and it would have been good to describe specifically what those things are, not in every county, but just generally speaking.
00:07:22
Speaker
You have to qualify.
00:07:24
Speaker
Usually there's some sort of fee in order to qualify.
00:07:28
Speaker
qualify as a candidate.
00:07:29
Speaker
Even presidential candidates don't always get on the ballot in every single state.
00:07:35
Speaker
Usually if they win, if they want to win, they need to.
00:07:38
Speaker
But you have certain filing deadlines, things like that.
00:07:43
Speaker
That should have been in the book.
00:07:45
Speaker
Chapter four is volunteer with a campaign.
00:07:48
Speaker
Volunteering with campaign is a good chapter about getting involved and plugging in, but I should have included some more specifics about the specific type of jobs that you have on a campaign.
00:08:03
Speaker
You have a campaign manager, you have a finance chair, you have a
00:08:07
Speaker
social media manager.
00:08:09
Speaker
You have, in a political campaign, you have people making phone calls and knocking on doors.
00:08:18
Speaker
And there's a lot of folks that are doing that, trying to drum up support.
00:08:21
Speaker
You have people that are on sign duty.
00:08:24
Speaker
Their job is to put signs out wherever they can do it.
00:08:27
Speaker
So all these different types of positions are part of a
00:08:33
Speaker
a campaign for office and in addition to the candidate he needs a lot of other people to help him out him or her so that would have been good to put in there i wish i would have put put that in there chapter five is get to know your legislator get to know your legislator and there's some really wonderful tips in there from a legislator friend of mine
00:08:58
Speaker
But what I wish I would have put into chapter five is more about how to do that, how to contact, how to get in touch with them, how to get to know them better, would have been better to put in the book.
00:09:23
Speaker
You know, not just contacting them, but
00:09:28
Speaker
Ways in which they are real people.
00:09:32
Speaker
So stories of them being real, normal folks, you know, the challenges that they have faced, all of those things would have been great to put in that chapter, but it didn't get in there.
00:09:45
Speaker
The book probably would have been too long to read if I had put all this stuff in there.
00:09:51
Speaker
Chapter 6 is teach a Bible class.

Bible Study Importance

00:09:54
Speaker
Teach a Bible class.
00:09:55
Speaker
That's a very valuable and important thing that we all need to be doing if we can.
00:10:00
Speaker
We need to be in the Scriptures all the time, and teaching a Bible class is a great idea.
00:10:05
Speaker
Now, what I wish I would have put into the book is more material on where to find trustworthy Bible study aids.
00:10:14
Speaker
Maybe...
00:10:16
Speaker
some of the Bible study tools that I use when I'm studying the Bible, or if I would have included more than just navpress.com.
00:10:25
Speaker
There's quite a number of other places where you can find reliable Bible study information, and I should have put it in the book.
00:10:32
Speaker
But it's not in there.
00:10:33
Speaker
It'll come in the second edition.
00:10:39
Speaker
You know, I find I use eSword to study the Bible.
00:10:45
Speaker
I look up Strong's definitions.
00:10:48
Speaker
I use Brown, Driver, Briggs' dictionary.
00:10:51
Speaker
I compare versions between the King James, the English Standard Version, the New King James, the New American Standard Bible, and oftentimes look up the Amplified Bible as well just to get a better idea and understanding of
00:11:06
Speaker
of the original languages and what they're teaching.
00:11:09
Speaker
And that's what I do to study the Bible.
00:11:10
Speaker
Now, when we're trying to find Bible study aids or helps, I trust the Navigators.
00:11:16
Speaker
They're a good group and they have good, solid Bible study information.
00:11:21
Speaker
I trust Wall Builders, the ministry there.
00:11:25
Speaker
They're excellent for providing solidly biblical information.
00:11:35
Speaker
Family Life today, they're pretty solid.
00:11:39
Speaker
I like a lot of their material.
00:11:41
Speaker
So all these places are good spots to go to if you're trying to find a Bible study aid.
00:11:47
Speaker
Number seven is Disciple Someone.
00:11:51
Speaker
Chapter 7, Disciple Someone.
00:11:53
Speaker
Now, this is a hard concept to grasp because we just about lost the art of discipleship in American society, in American Christianity.
00:12:03
Speaker
And so, you know, we talk a lot about evangelism, but we give very little focus to discipleship.
00:12:10
Speaker
So we don't really know what it is or how to do it.
00:12:12
Speaker
So I try to talk about this a little bit in this chapter about
00:12:15
Speaker
But what I wish I would have put in there is some good books on discipleship.
00:12:20
Speaker
I have some in my library which are really, really good.
00:12:26
Speaker
There's The Cost of Discipleship by Dietrich Bonhoeffer.
00:12:31
Speaker
You have Conformed to His Image.
00:12:36
Speaker
I think that was by Kenneth Boa.
00:12:41
Speaker
There's just some really excellent books out there on discipleship that have begun to blossom and spring up.
00:12:48
Speaker
And I wish I would have given a list in the book, but I didn't.
00:12:54
Speaker
But you get a couple of suggestions here on the Preacher Dad podcast.
00:12:59
Speaker
Chapter 8 is give your money away.
00:13:02
Speaker
Give your money away.
00:13:04
Speaker
Give your money to worthwhile causes and organizations that are doing God's work in the world.
00:13:09
Speaker
Now, I did not list, I did not give a very long list of people to give money to.
00:13:17
Speaker
I basically said if you believe that they are doing good work in the world, you need to give them money.
00:13:22
Speaker
But I wish I would have given a starting point to encourage people to give to the organizations that I believe in.
00:13:30
Speaker
But here you go.
00:13:31
Speaker
It's a short list.
00:13:33
Speaker
Certainly, Wall Builders is on that list.
00:13:35
Speaker
Wall Builders is an outstanding organization founded by David Barton, and they are committed to restoring America.
00:13:44
Speaker
to its constitutional and biblical foundations.
00:13:48
Speaker
And so I really believe in what they're doing and sincerely support what they do.
00:13:53
Speaker
Another one is Turning Point USA.
00:13:55
Speaker
Charlie Kirk founded Turning Point USA, and it's just an outstanding organization doing so many great things strategically, principally, ideologically.
00:14:06
Speaker
They are really making some good headway here in the culture war, and I just encourage everybody to
00:14:12
Speaker
Check them out and get involved and give them some money.
00:14:17
Speaker
There's quite a number of other organizations like Family Life Today, as I've mentioned already.
00:14:23
Speaker
You could give to Cornerstone Fellowship.
00:14:26
Speaker
Our church here in middle Georgia could use some financial assistance for the things that we're trying to do in this small community.
00:14:33
Speaker
By the way, this episode is brought to you by Cornerstone Fellowship, located just a little bit north of Tombsboro, Georgia.
00:14:42
Speaker
and a congregation of a few people with big hearts.
00:14:46
Speaker
And we love Jesus and would love to invite you and welcome you to love him with us.
00:14:54
Speaker
And so we are pleased to be where we are and glad that God is blessing our little congregation.
00:15:03
Speaker
In just a little while, we're going to have a meal here
00:15:06
Speaker
And then we're going to have prayer meeting after the meal is over.
00:15:08
Speaker
So we do some decent amount of eating here at Cornerstone Fellowship, and it's good food if that entices you.
00:15:18
Speaker
But if you just come for the food, then you're going to be disappointed the first time somebody brings a bad casserole or something.
00:15:28
Speaker
Anyway, so give your money away.
00:15:31
Speaker
Give your money away to worthwhile causes, candidates that are running for office.
00:15:37
Speaker
I believe in Donald Trump and what he is trying to do to save our nation.
00:15:41
Speaker
He certainly is not faultless.
00:15:44
Speaker
He's not a perfect man or a perfect candidate, but he is a strong candidate and has conservative ideas and
00:15:54
Speaker
We need to get behind him and support him.
00:15:57
Speaker
Even if you have to hold your nose and vote, fine.
00:16:00
Speaker
But we need to vote for him or we might not ever get a chance to vote again.
00:16:04
Speaker
It is that serious today, folks.
00:16:06
Speaker
It is that serious in our culture war.
00:16:10
Speaker
Hey, parents, if you're looking for a fun and entertaining way to teach your children about character, then I've got the right podcast for you to check out.
00:16:18
Speaker
It's called Character Stories Podcast.
00:16:21
Speaker
On the Character Stories Podcast, we do voices of all shapes and sizes, and we have occasionally sound effects as well.
00:16:30
Speaker
And I would love for you to come and join us over there and hear a great story that has a great lesson and moral in it as well.
00:16:39
Speaker
So come on over and check out the Character Stories podcast today.

Prayer in the Culture War

00:16:45
Speaker
Chapter 9.
00:16:46
Speaker
Keep your money from the wrong people.
00:16:49
Speaker
Keep your money away from the wrong people.
00:16:51
Speaker
And I talked about the importance of being careful where our money goes.
00:16:57
Speaker
But I, again, wish I would have listed more dangerous organizations that we should not be giving money to.
00:17:05
Speaker
That we should not be shopping with.
00:17:07
Speaker
And I...
00:17:10
Speaker
I wish I would have included in the book names like target.
00:17:15
Speaker
Um,
00:17:16
Speaker
I don't think that we should be shopping with Target.
00:17:19
Speaker
I think that they're advocating and supporting things that are ungodly and unbiblical, and it's just a bridge too far.
00:17:27
Speaker
If you like to shop at Target, nope, okay, fine.
00:17:30
Speaker
I'm not going to fuss at you or wag my finger, but I just think that they are a bad company that is promoting bad things, and we shouldn't be supporting them.
00:17:42
Speaker
Um, there's, there's a number of others.
00:17:46
Speaker
I have been participating in a boycott of Home Depot as best I can because of their open support of the LGBTQ agenda.
00:17:59
Speaker
I don't even like getting into all the alphabet soup, but they openly and adamantly support
00:18:07
Speaker
homosexual marriage and things of that nature.
00:18:10
Speaker
And that's just, I'm just doing the best I can not to give them my money.
00:18:14
Speaker
Now I got to shop for tools and supplies somewhere, but when I can, I try to stay away from Home Depot.
00:18:24
Speaker
You know, I'm pretty much ready to sell every piece of Disney, anything that I ever have had and just wash my hands of their entire company because they are actively and adamantly
00:18:37
Speaker
trying to persuade children to turn into radical leftists, pagans.
00:18:43
Speaker
I've been shocked by some of the things that I've seen in the recent years that Disney has produced for children that are actively, adamantly pagan and worshiping false gods, just really, really bad stuff.
00:18:58
Speaker
Some of the worst stuff I've ever seen.
00:19:01
Speaker
And so, you know, I wish I would have listed some of those problems.
00:19:05
Speaker
But I was trying to keep the book short.
00:19:08
Speaker
And so for the sake of time, I left some of that out.
00:19:11
Speaker
Chapter 10.
00:19:12
Speaker
Chapter 10 is Pray.
00:19:15
Speaker
Chapter 10 is probably one of the most important chapters in the book because prayer is one of the most important things that we can do as believers, as warriors in the culture war, is to pray.
00:19:29
Speaker
We have to realize the effectiveness of prayer, the power of it, and it's very, very important.
00:19:34
Speaker
And what I wish I would have put into the chapter about prayer is the different aspects of prayer.
00:19:41
Speaker
and expanding on an understanding of what those things are.
00:19:46
Speaker
Maybe a little Bible study about what Jesus said when he taught us to pray.
00:19:51
Speaker
He said, the disciples came to him and said, teach us to pray.
00:19:58
Speaker
And he said, okay, this is how you should pray.
00:20:01
Speaker
Our Father, which art in heaven.
00:20:04
Speaker
So you're addressing the Father, you're addressing him corporately.
00:20:07
Speaker
Our Father, not my Father.
00:20:10
Speaker
Personal prayer is important, but he's saying, you know, corporate prayer is important too.
00:20:17
Speaker
Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
00:20:19
Speaker
Your name is holy.
00:20:21
Speaker
It's declaring the nature of God and what he's like.
00:20:26
Speaker
Declaring the holiness of God.
00:20:29
Speaker
Hallowed be thy name.
00:20:30
Speaker
Thy kingdom come.
00:20:31
Speaker
That is a declaration of the desire of the prayer.
00:20:37
Speaker
that your kingdom would come, your rulership, your authority.
00:20:42
Speaker
Let thy kingdom come.
00:20:44
Speaker
And we'd like to say that sometimes as a poem.
00:20:47
Speaker
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
00:20:51
Speaker
And we forget that thy kingdom come is a three-word sentence that's talking about the kingdom of God in us and in our world.
00:21:01
Speaker
Both in us and in our world, we're treating the kingdom to come.
00:21:05
Speaker
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
00:21:08
Speaker
I wish I would have gone into the details of these aspects of prayer more.
00:21:12
Speaker
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
00:21:17
Speaker
God's will is done immediately and absolutely without question in heaven, and that needs to be done here on earth as well.
00:21:25
Speaker
And in my own heart, I need to surrender to his instruction, to his guidance, to
00:21:31
Speaker
And so it's very important that my prayers include that kind of surrender.
00:21:37
Speaker
Give us this day our daily bread.
00:21:40
Speaker
That's just prayers for today.
00:21:42
Speaker
That's requests for the things that I need.
00:21:44
Speaker
It's not me worrying about tomorrow.
00:21:46
Speaker
It's just me simply thinking about today.
00:21:49
Speaker
What do I need today?
00:21:50
Speaker
Lord, bless me today.
00:21:51
Speaker
That doesn't mean we don't pray about tomorrow or pray about things to come.
00:21:54
Speaker
It just means, Lord, provide for my needs today.
00:21:59
Speaker
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.
00:22:03
Speaker
We really need to understand the power of forgiveness, and it's very hard for us to come before the throne of God and expect to be heard if we are harboring bitterness towards others.
00:22:13
Speaker
If we're harboring bitterness towards someone else, that will hinder our prayers, hinder our walk with God, and it will destroy and defeat the good things we're seeking to do in the world.
00:22:26
Speaker
So forgiving others is incredibly important.
00:22:30
Speaker
Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.
00:22:34
Speaker
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
00:22:39
Speaker
And that's not saying that God would lead us into temptation, because the Bible says in James, God will not tempt us, neither tempteth he any man.
00:22:49
Speaker
So it's not that he's enticing us to do evil, and we're saying, please don't entice me to do evil.
00:22:53
Speaker
It's saying, lead me away from evil, is what that really means in the original language.
00:22:58
Speaker
Lead me away from evil.
00:23:00
Speaker
And deliver me from the power of the enemy, from the evil one.
00:23:05
Speaker
Deliver me from the evil one.
00:23:07
Speaker
It's the spiritual warfare prayer.
00:23:09
Speaker
We need to pray spiritually.
00:23:11
Speaker
We need to recognize the spiritual warfare that we are in.
00:23:14
Speaker
And that this culture war is much deeper than just a battle of ideas and right versus left.
00:23:21
Speaker
This is a spiritual battle.
00:23:24
Speaker
We are fighting demons.
00:23:28
Speaker
Look, folks, I am not overstating that.
00:23:30
Speaker
We are fighting demons.
00:23:34
Speaker
And when we stand up for the truth and we stand up on God's side and we proclaim the truth, we are actively attacking the strongholds of lies that Satan has implanted in the hearts of others.
00:23:48
Speaker
He does not want that to happen.
00:23:51
Speaker
We are in a spiritual war.
00:23:54
Speaker
This culture war is not just a battle of ideas to see who's going to run the United States.
00:24:01
Speaker
It's a battle of truth versus lies, good versus evil, the spiritual forces of darkness versus the Lord Jesus and his Holy Spirit, the power of God, and all of the righteous angels that still follow the king of all kings, the Lord of the universe, the creator God.

Nature of the Culture War

00:24:20
Speaker
It is a battle between those forces,
00:24:24
Speaker
It's a battle that Jesus really has already won, but there's still, you know, things that have to happen.
00:24:31
Speaker
But the battle's over.
00:24:33
Speaker
There's no question about who the winner will be.
00:24:36
Speaker
Unfortunately, the devil, he just wants to take out as many as he can before he has to finally go to the lake of fire.
00:24:46
Speaker
Well, that's 10 chapters.
00:24:48
Speaker
There's an 11th chapter called Final Thoughts, and there's some things I wish I would have added to the Final Thoughts area there, like maybe more of the Scripture from Deuteronomy.
00:25:03
Speaker
There's been quite a number of thoughts, some sort of...
00:25:08
Speaker
analogy to Rocky, you know, Rocky Balboa.
00:25:12
Speaker
You're Adrian.
00:25:14
Speaker
Hey, Adrian, we did it.
00:25:20
Speaker
I loved, I love saying, Hey, Nick, Hey, Nick, I can do a bit.
00:25:29
Speaker
That was probably a really, really bad Sylvester Stallone impression.
00:25:33
Speaker
And if he ever hears this podcast, I hope that he will forgive me for murdering those lines.
00:25:38
Speaker
But it's a great, great film, great series of films, and it's really inspiring to me.
00:25:45
Speaker
And so I wish I would have put in a Rocky analogy in there.
00:25:48
Speaker
You know, he's beat up, but he's still standing up.
00:25:51
Speaker
He's going the distance.
00:25:54
Speaker
And sometimes, you know, in the culture war, we just have to keep standing and keep putting one foot in front of the other.
00:26:00
Speaker
Keep swinging.
00:26:01
Speaker
Just keep punching, Rock.
00:26:02
Speaker
Keep punching.
00:26:03
Speaker
Don't stop.
00:26:04
Speaker
And folks, for you and me, the regular average G.I.
00:26:09
Speaker
Joe guy,
00:26:10
Speaker
In the culture war, we have to keep trying.
00:26:12
Speaker
We can't lay down and give up.
00:26:15
Speaker
We have to keep swinging because duty is ours, but consequences are God's.

Engagement and Updates

00:26:20
Speaker
Duty is ours, but consequences are God's.
00:26:23
Speaker
And we need to remember that that is true.
00:26:26
Speaker
And I hope that you will remember that today.
00:26:28
Speaker
Well, I hope this episode has encouraged you.
00:26:31
