We all experience fear throughout our lives, and that's completely normal. Fear can manifest in many ways, but when it prevents you from reaching your highest potential or limits you from being the best version of yourself, it becomes a problem. That’s why I wanted to discuss FEAR.

Fear used to hold me back constantly, and I’ve come to realize that I wasted a lot of time living in fear and not pursuing the things I wanted to do.

I was definitely somebody in my life that I always feared that I was just not good enough to do things that I wanted to do. And the reason why I really want to talk about this and dive into this this week is because the last episode and the episode before that, it just really got me thinking about the things that I'm currently doing, but I wasted a lot of my years living in fear. Like just think about that for a second. I, I always wanted to be doing what I'm doing right now. You know, like I just created a video. I posted it on Instagram. I've really enjoyed filming a video.

having ah having a really good like idea, like a creative vision in my head, I get excited to go home to edit that video. And then like, you know, I don't know if you guys seen the one I just posted today about the restaurant, but I think it it turned out pretty fucking good. And like that makes me really excited, right? So like, I know when I was working trades, I always knew I really liked creating content,

And I really wanted to do it, but like never in my wildest dreams did I think that I was ever good enough to do that and make money doing it. you know All I ever knew was just working, trades. I was always living away from home.

I was always in Alberta, Saskatchewan, BC. ah I was all over Canada working, right? Because that's all I ever knew. And it's not until I really ah really started to work on that fear, right? Because we all got fears.

Like we all have fears, but sometimes you know that fear can really so be in the way of things that we want to do. right like I still definitely have fears now, but I don't let it get in the way like it used to. right I remember before, you know when I was working out to Long Harbor, I'd always be sitting around and be like, man, like

I don't want to do that. I want something more for my life. You know, I want to feel like um I'm actually making a difference or like not even making a difference, like doing something that I just actually enjoyed doing and just like I don't know for for me, I find that since I've been online, you know, like doing content creating, doing these podcasts, talking, like I actually made this podcast because I feel like I always have a lot to say, but I know that when I make these type of podcasts, I know someone's going to listen to it. Someone's going to be like, fuck. He's right. He's fucking right.

um'm I'm here living in fear. I'm letting my fear hold me the fuck back, right? It all started because I literally just started posting talking videos about mushrooms. i I've really started to notice a difference in myself and I was so excited I wanted to share it. So I started doing these talking videos. And then that led into a lot of people trying micro dosing, a lot of people like having their life changed.

And then the more I kept talking on Instagram, the more comfortable I was. And I was like, I could i should just start a podcast. Right. So here we are around episode 48. So wild. I like, not a really, I never even thought about this, but like, I actually wanted to start a podcast for a very long time.

but fear was getting in the way of it. I was over analyzing everything, thinking I wasn't good enough. Who the fuck is going to sit down and listen to me talk on a podcast? and Like in my mind, I was literally just belittling myself and be like, no one's going to fucking listen to this. And if I stayed living in that fear, I would have never started a podcast.

was living in fear all the time. You know, I would never be talking on Instagram about my experiences with microdosing because I never used to do that type of content. I always would just post fitness type content. Right. And it, it, it really took a lot for me to start like sitting in front of the camera, you know, talking and actually making sense. So no one's going to listen to this. I would like post something and then delete it. Cause I was like, just kind of self-conscious and insecure. Right. Well, have I not done that?

I would have not had the opportunities that I have literally right now. because as I said on the last podcast, last episode, basically, if you if you weren't listening, um it wasn't until I started doing these talking videos on Instagram, um that's when this this agency content, gen I guess they seen one of my talking videos, they must've thought that I could you know just speak well, and they're like, oh, he would he would be good for like reading like scripts and doing like ad type videos and stuff like that.

Um, so ever, like ever since I just let go of the fear and just start doing shit, just let go of the fucking fear and just started doing shit. That's when more opportunities started to open up for me. And it's just mind blowing. I really just wanted to talk about this because three years ago, I would have never dreamt that, you know, I'd be sitting at home talking on a podcast, editing videos, creating content, you know, going around Newfoundland flying my drone, just just living like an actual decent life, right? Because like I said, all I ever knew was just,

working away 12 hours a day, just busting my ass, working overtime, exhausted, tired, you know, never home. And then when I'd actually get a day off, it was like, what am I going to do now? Pardon, you know, it's just, it's just such a lifestyle change for me. But I wanted to just talk about fear because I know that a lot of people want to do a lot of things in their life, but they're stuck in their fair.

Maybe, well, maybe you're not even stuck in your fear. You're just, maybe you want you want a lot for your life. You want to do these things. You're just not fucking doing it. So like, if you're that type of person, then my question to you is why aren't you not doing it?

When I wanted to start this podcast, right? I sat down and I'd overanalyze everything and I say, okay, well, I gotta do this. I gotta, oh, I gotta figure out this. I gotta figure out this. And there was so many, it was things just like clusters clustered in my head. Like it was just like, my head, my brain was literally like a clusterfuck and it seems so like hard to just start it. But, you know, when I just tackled one thing at a time.

it like it just created space for more things, right? So but basically what I'm saying is I went and bought the mic. Okay, that's done. Okay, well, what do I got to do next? Then I then I started reaching out to people who you know, had their own podcasts. Well, how how do you guys record it? Like where are you recording your stuff to? How how do you get it like uploaded to Spotify? So then I tackled that. And then once all these things that it was in my mind and it was just, oh my God, like it's just, it it makes it seem so hard. But when you tackle things one at a time and you just actually start doing something,

you know and do one task at a time, then it opens up more time and your mind is less, it's less there's more calm. It's not all fucking clustered in chaos. And then you can actually just start doing. And you know once I actually got out of the way of living in fear, and I start doing one task at a time, and then I was ready to actually record my first episode. And then I recorded my first episode.

And I'm like, fuck, that's not so bad. I don't know. if I don't know if any of you original listeners remember my first episode, but I must've said fuck at least 300 times. Right. But I mean, I had to start somewhere.

Obviously, I feel my podcast has gotten somewhat better over time. like I'm definitely still not great and I still need a lot of work and there's a lot to learn about it. like I could definitely turn this podcast into something much bigger than it is right now if I actually took the time and done that. right You can really make anything grow and and and blossom and and get bigger if you just spend the time doing it. But if you don't do it and you live in fear and you just think about what you're going to do and what you could be doing your whole entire life before you know it,

I wouldn't say wasted. I'm not, I'm not going to say wasted because I definitely don't regret anything I've ever done because it all led me to where I am right now. But that being said, I just always, I always had in the back of my mind that I wanted to be doing something else, but I was just too afraid to actually do it. I was too afraid to walk away from the money. I didn't think I was, you know, if, if, if I actually stepped away from my job, where, where, the where the fuck am I going to get money?

But like once I actually put myself in that situation where I had to work on my own, I just started looking into like, Hey, how torick do I make money? Right? What am I good at? How can I take what I'm good at and make money online? And then I just started doing it.

And we're almost three years later and I'm still doing it, right? So anyway, so I don't want to go on much more of a rant talking about fear, but I wanted to speak on this because it is something that you got to think about. And I want you to think about it right now. Are you living in fear? Is fear holding you back from you living your best self?

You know, is there something that you're really good at and you know that you're good at it? And if you just had more time in your day to spend that this thing that you were good at, would you be able to make a living out of this or not even a living? Would you be able to make some sort of money out of this? Obviously right away, you're not going to, you know, not going to make six figures a year.

But like, what if you could make $100 extra a week doing something that you're good at? You know, that could be whatever it whatever it is, right? Whatever it is that you're good at. Could you make money doing this online or maybe not online? You know, maybe, maybe it's like refurbishing furniture. Maybe you're really good at that. And like, you could just

I can't remember his name, but basically his his story was all he did was buy furniture and marketplace like a lot of furniture and resell it for more and he did that for years and Made a shit ton of money like you could do literally anything nowadays. We have so many resources and to make money. So um um this isn't I'm not trying to make this whole podcast podcast about money. I just wanted to really talk about fear and have you guys you know really think about is fear holding you back from doing shit? Because if fear is holding you back from doing shit, then you're not going to do more shit. Anyways, guys, I hope you took something from this.

I was like, I don't really want to be doing this anymore.
