Edgar and Daryll: So exciting. You know what's even more exciting, and I think this is good for the for the brand is good for the brand, for the podcast brand, is that we're both in the playoffs.
Daryll Garcia: Dude, it just shows that whatever we said on the pod was legit.

Edgar and Daryll: Yeah. Yeah. we We can back it up. We can back it up, guys. ah Just so you know, yeah my playoff run was a lot more stressful than your playoff run. but A playoff run, nevertheless, or making it to the playoff, right?
Daryll Garcia: Right, right, right. Our journey to the playoffs. This is now our playoff run.

Edgar and Daryll: Our journey into the playoffs was a little bit different, but we both made it. Some of us were a little more stressed out than others, but ah we're here and we're going to get it

And then because, you know, some people were like, oh, don't dive into stuff before you do the recap because then it just sounds kind of weird. So, you know, we hear you guys.
Edgar and Daryll: We hear the listeners. So let's just get into the week
Daryll Garcia: Thank you.
Edgar and Daryll: fourteen recap yeah and Week 14, both Edgar and Andrew were fighting for the number 5 seed of the playoff. Edgar was going up against Romo, whose team had a monster week, peppered by a slew of injuries. Romo took down Edgar, just like the floor took down City Lamb, who may or may not be available for the playoff rematch next week.
Edgar and Daryll: Then Sackers did his best impression of a cricket leg as this poor man's ACL ligament left the chat. Get well soon. Romo still managed to get the W, but did not matter as Andrew's hopes for the 5C were cut short like the Achilles ligament of Daniel Jones.
Edgar and Daryll: Andrew decided not to listen to Daryl's advice last weekend played Kirk Cousin, who gave him a whopping 2.48 points to bring his grand total score to an overall season-low score of 64 points. His team left him like the avatar left the nation when they needed him the most.
Edgar and Daryll: Let's hope he can bounce back in the wild card.
Daryll Garcia: you
Edgar and Daryll: Then we had the matchup of Darryl versus Nerith. With the hopes of a number one seed, Darryl squeezed in a win just barely against Nerith, who continues to look like he might be poised to make another run to the sacko.
Edgar and Daryll: Jaden Daniels, who returned to the commander, should have just stayed home in a blowout game versus J.J. McCarthy, led Vikings. Yikes. ah Then the best friend matchup, Alejandro's Achilles heel Troy continue to have Alejandro's number as to deliver a whopping of a beatdown.
Edgar and Daryll: Alejandro securing the playoffs while he falls to the number four seed as Josh Allen put up another game of almost 40 points.
Daryll Garcia: Thank you.
Edgar and Daryll: He did this a few weeks ago followed by two other terrible games. Hopefully Josh Allen does not continue with his pattern as Troy is moving to the wild card in the hopes to make it out and make a run toward the playoffs.
Edgar and Daryll: Finally, we have the commish who just had a baby go against Tommy boy. Tom had nothing on the line as he awaited his fate to go to the SACO next week or maybe the playoffs.
Edgar and Daryll: McGuire secured the W and is on his way to a bye week. He will need it as he needs to learn to change diapers and enjoy some the sleepless night in the hopes to be cognitive enough to make the right moves a week from now and try to secure his first fancy boy title. And that was week 14 recap.

Daryll Garcia: Dude, you know, when you when you read your recap, it's crazy because most of it makes sense, right? But when you read along, i want someone to like try to do your recap with the words that you type and they're going to be like, what is that?

Edgar and Daryll: But, um, but yeah, I, so I squeezed it by Andrew just had a terrible game with injuries and
Daryll Garcia: Dude, I called it on the Kirk Cousins. like Playing Kirk Cousins like playing no one.
Edgar and Daryll: correct. Yeah. Two points like wild.

Daryll Garcia: All right. So our final standings heading into playoffs, we have number one, Maguire. His record was 10 and four, and he scored a total of 21.59.
Edgar and Daryll: Nice.

Edgar and Daryll: um But then the next couple people are like no one else in the bottom five scored more points for than the people in the top five, right? So for the most part, We all deserved it.
Edgar and Daryll: Maybe, except you. that's and now you agree dig great You did great. ah Surprisingly, we had Nered in 8th place at With ah sixty with sixteen forty five though. so He just lucked out with matchups. He could have been a lot worse.
Edgar and Daryll: yeah Then we had Carlos at 4-10 with 18-16. His team kind of came alive towards the last couple weeks. we Just a little bit too late. And...

Edgar and Daryll: ah Yeah. And then for our last place ah was our three-time Fancy Boy champion who is now last place is Tommy J.

Edgar and Daryll: Well, well let's let's talk about the wild card a little bit. From this wild card five, Andrew, Troy, Naira, Carlos, and Tom, who are your top two contenders to make it out of here? Like, if you had to put money down, i think this person makes it out. Who is it?
Daryll Garcia: I actually think ah Troy has a nice my nice path towards getting it out of the wild card. Troy's my number one pick, and I actually like Nared's team as my number two, if I had to pick two.
Edgar and Daryll: Okay.

Daryll Garcia: Yeah.
Edgar and Daryll: Well, he did make some pretty good trades towards the end.

Daryll Garcia: For a listener out there, when Edgar did become the biggest loser before, he had to wear a dress in public. And he wore it in Vegas.

Daryll Garcia: Right, right, right. Yes, I think last year was ah one of his more consistent years. And then um this year, yeah, he had this little bit of like, he had a great beginning, fell off in the middle, and maybe he's picking it up again.

Edgar and Daryll: Well, and then also Higgins. um is still in concussion protocol, right?
Daryll Garcia: He is. But...
Edgar and Daryll: So he might he might not play. And if he doesn't, and it you know, he already has someone out in his, let's see.

Edgar and Daryll: Yeah, I don't even see. Yeah, in his lineup. So I think that's a big blow to him as well. But he doest he does get Bucky Irving back, right? Pukin Okua has a great matchup.
Edgar and Daryll: um Ty Johnson or not Ty Johnson, Jawan Johnson has a phenomenal matchup too. so And then Chris Rodriguez also good matchup against the Giants.
Edgar and Daryll: So yeah, I mean, Troy does have a pretty good outlook this week.
Daryll Garcia: I mean, I think Troy made a great point um with Jalen Hurts doing so bad this past week. Oh, it's like a revenge game, a personal revenge game for himself. You know, it's a get right game.
Edgar and Daryll: Yes, but he's been bad for a couple weeks. So it's not like, so i mean, when is his revenge game coming back, right? It hasn't happened.
Daryll Garcia: I mean, yes, he he hasn't been the the great the greatest, like, you know, ah but week 11, 14.5, week 12, 30, week 13, 16, and then week 14,.4. So, i mean, he hasn't been great, great, but he's been pretty good. i mean, QB2 status, he's he still has the ability to get up there. so
Edgar and Daryll: Well, with that, the same thing can be said about Lamar Jackson against Cincinnati, right? Everybody keeps talking all this smack, saying like he doesn't have anymore. like Is this his get-right game, right? a He steps up and rides the ship.
Daryll Garcia: It's just those divisional games, though. That's all.
Edgar and Daryll: Sure. man And Junkins has a phenomenal matchup for Carlos. Herbert against Kansas City is not bad. Barclay against the Raiders looks good.
Edgar and Daryll: you know so it's going to be interesting. Say Flowers hopefully does well. And then that Texans defense against the Cardinals. Right?
Daryll Garcia: Yeah, I'm actually excited about that. That player. I love watching the Texans defense this year. They're good.
Edgar and Daryll: It's been awesome. Yeah, it's been awesome. Now, Neret's team, ah you know, Lawrence has a good matchup against the Jets, right? And then Henry's matchup with Cincinnati is juicy.
Edgar and Daryll: Like, that can really propel him towards that getting out of the wild card. ah Dix has been kind of mediocre, and Nick Buka has been trashed.
Daryll Garcia: Bad lately.
Edgar and Daryll: Yeah, and you have Justin Jefferson, who's also been bad, right?
Daryll Garcia: So bad.
Edgar and Daryll: And Baker has been okay going against the Atlanta defense. It's not phenomenal. So I just don't i just don't see... i personally don't see Nerev coming out of this.
Edgar and Daryll: i don't want i want to put Nerev on third instead of Tom, but just history just seems to write him write them so ah rewrite themselves with Nerev. And I feel like it's...

Edgar and Daryll: um the first place of the wild card.
Daryll Garcia: So the winner of the wild card gets to go against the first place overall because first place overall gets a bye week.
