Edgar and Daryll: We're here. you know We're about halfway through the season. Um, You know, and just like last year, for the most part, we're keeping it. Close and tight. What do you think, Daryl?

Edgar and Daryll: Right. You're kind of turned it around. I mean honestly You know, I sell Eggly for you and Mr. Neighbors. um they've kind of come through for you And...
Edgar and Daryll: It's kind of brought your team back to life. And the trade that you made with Carlos has worked out for you as well.
Daryll Garcia: Yeah, I mean, this is I'm just living my own version of the James Winston experience.

Daryll Garcia: You know, I got my I got my very low lows. And the last two weeks I had my very high highs, you know.
Edgar and Daryll: Yeah. Oh yeah.

Edgar and Daryll: It's been, it's been insane. And in reality, like. You know, this is why in fantasy football. I think in general, you just have to keep on trying. You have to keep trying to do everything you can to.
Edgar and Daryll: um Just stay. on task, you know, try to make trades, waiver wires, because it's not always over just because you had all these injuries. Right. And and I think your team is.
Edgar and Daryll: Kind of like the the definition of that, right? Being able to... persevere in the and the challenges.

Edgar and Daryll: And with that, let's go ahead and do a recap. Let's see what we got in store in today's recap. So we're back with week five and six recap where teams found the rhythm, lost the rhythm, and a few managers probably started checking the waiver wire like it owed them money. First up, none other than yours truly. If consistency had a definition, my team would be right there in the dictionary. Though maybe under heartbreaking.
Edgar and Daryll: In Week 5, I took a tough loss to the Commissioner McGuire. He came into Monday with a big lead, then had to watch it shrink with every Puka Nakua catch. He escaped with the win, but I bounced back and win 6 with a solid victory over Nere.
Edgar and Daryll: Nerit lost by more than 40 points and was left... Banging his head against the wall like his boy Scannable and the Giants. Let me turn down. a little bit ah
Edgar and Daryll: All right. In week five, Troy faces best friend Alejandro, who showed him who the real offer in the group was. Troy's team came ready to play, but Alejandro pulled off another spectacular win thanks to Josh Allen and Gibbs. Troy bounced back in Week 6 against Tom, whose only shining moment was a Raiders second and -string wide receiver. It wasn't enough. Troy won by 30, while Tom's roster apparently spent the week sightseeing.
Edgar and Daryll: Next to Fox, Andrew faced Daryl in Week 5. Daryl's team had awakened, unlike the awaken and unlike the Avatar, Neighbors and Isaiah likely actually showed up to help drive the win. Andrew put up one of the top three scores of the week, but even that wasn't enough to get past Daryl. He bounced back in Week 6 against Carlos, the citrus swindler, whose lemons turned out sour. His lemonade went bad, and Andrew won by nearly 60 points.
Edgar and Daryll: That's not a loss, that's a full -blown juice box shortage. And there it we go. Five and six turned into a twin sandwich combo. In week five, he faced Carlos before the lemon went sour, and Carlos dropped one of the highest scores of the week, near a put of his best score of the season, only to have us swallowed by his first slice of the sandwich. In week six, he faced yours truly and got...
Edgar and Daryll: Served the other half, Nery keeps struggling with just one win under his belt as he's trying to extend his Sako record. Or is the record extending itself? Daryl, meanwhile, had found his groove. After starting the season 0 -3, he picked up wins in both weeks 5 and 6, first taking down Andrew, then Alejandro. He got his rhythm on the fantasy field and apparently in his hips when the music gets loud.
Edgar and Daryll: Darryl's hoping to keep his winning train rolling. Alejandro, meanwhile, found out what life is like without Gibbs. In his starting lineup, just 95 points, missing him the 40 -plus points usually. gives brings. Turson, even the real alpha needs to start running back.
Edgar and Daryll: Next up, Mr. Booty Chicks. Unlike his recent 0 -3 partner, Romo has managed to secure one win this season. But he lost both Week 5 and 6, and his team remains in shambles. As he's hoping to turn the season around, hope is important, so are points. He may need both.
Edgar and Daryll: Finally, Thomas Jay won Week 5 matchup against Mr. Booty Cheeks and then took a loss in Week 6 against Troy. Troy's newly acquired Sam Bernard led the way to victory, proving that sometimes the best pickup isn't a superstar, but instead going for Bernard. And that's Week 5 and 6 recap. There also in a row, Troy bounced back, Andrew served up citrus scented blowout, and Nary got the full sandwich special.
Edgar and Daryll: Eee -wee! I'm out of breath, I'm out of breath guys

Edgar and Daryll: You know, we we had like matchups. It came on Monday. um and it was just one of those things that was like kind of going back and forth and There was a lot of. matchups that were up in the air Um, where week six was just.
Edgar and Daryll: It was just kind of a blowout like either you won or you lost. There was no like in between there was no close matches
Daryll Garcia: close match Yeah, I think week six they were listening to a couple of podcasts and they were saying it's one of the lowest scoring. Like. Weeks in Fantasy? And it's kind of crazy because...
Edgar and Daryll: yeah I can see that.
Daryll Garcia: I'm glad that I got you know top score in that week. I got top score in the last two weeks. so It's been great.

Edgar and Daryll: Yeah, I mean your team like say, you know, the the Winston special has kind of helped you out and

Edgar and Daryll: You know, Judge McCarthy came back and also threw some more points over to Likely and Neighbors. and You know you you succeed here, right? And and that's kind of, sometimes you just need to.
Edgar and Daryll: Be lucky. I mean, you're kind of going down the Alejandro route, right? Just a handful of players kind of holding your team together right now.
Daryll Garcia: yeah I mean, and yeah.
Edgar and Daryll: Hello.
Daryll Garcia: it it is crazy and and i think that's that's fantasy if you know Some really good weeks, really bad weeks. and you're just hoping that you just get more good weeks of bad that's it

Edgar and Daryll: I mean, look at Alejandro, right? Alejandro didn't have Gibbs last week. um And he only scored 95 points.

Edgar and Daryll: right like basically he usually scores like somewhere in the 130s 140s ah No Gibbs. No, it didn't even break 100.
Daryll Garcia: No points. nope No, no, get no points.
Edgar and Daryll: No gives or points, you know? Gives and not gives to them, you know?
Daryll Garcia: Yeah.

Daryll Garcia: um it You know, we're one -third of the season through. What team? still kind of surprises you, good or bad.
Edgar and Daryll: I mean, ro Romo's team is just... have gotten I feel like his team is just... Rough. Um... You know, I feel like your team. had issues and um i mean there was people that were gonna that were gonna come back still for your team that were kind of banged up and but it wasn't like season and ending banged up um i I don't know. Like, I feel like Romo's team.
Edgar and Daryll: It's just like decimated. And I try to look at. ways for him to like, okay, how do you turn it around? Is there a trade that can happen? um It's just ugly. like it's And maybe there is something out there, maybe a two -for -one.
Edgar and Daryll: that he can get but uh But yeah, I'm surprised how as as just how decimated his team looks. Uh, For the season, I thought it was going to look better
Daryll Garcia: Yeah, I mean there's just some names in his team that haven't really performed ah Chase Brown before he traded him to me has just not lived up to the ADP Yeah, but she rise that you know, it's still kind of quiet he then he got hurt and then the biggest disappointment i'm gonna have to say is omarion hampton that that boy in that offense really this is charger's offense has been Do bad.
Daryll Garcia: Just bad.

Daryll Garcia: And of course, he didn't have Drake May while Michael Penix was injured, you know, so.

Edgar and Daryll: We wrote papers. You know, we wrote papers out there. We have papers out there, guys. All right. um But. We made a trade and and he said he needed a a running back. Actually, I feel like I gave him a good deal. You know, I gave him Bill.
Edgar and Daryll: for Travis Etienne. Right. And as soon as ETN was dealt to me, he went to the IR. Bill gave him more. One game I will say that the Even though my trade probably didn't help him win, he did win that week that we made the trade.
Edgar and Daryll: uh and then of course now builds an ir You know, I did.
Daryll Garcia: Are we considering that a lemon?
Edgar and Daryll: I don't know. I mean, two weeks? Did we say it was a three -week?
Daryll Garcia: two Yeah, I think it's two weeks. It's just two weeks. I used Delta 11, bro.

Edgar and Daryll: you know, It was a shame because I had placed a $21 bid and then I looked at everybody's fab.

Edgar and Daryll: And then I changed my mind, right? And I was just like, okay, I already know McGuire is going to go for him. if i was mcguire what would be my fab right like what percentage of fab do i want to do And I, and I told myself maybe 20 % or so.
Edgar and Daryll: Riot 20 % was like $17, $16. So then I went $19 for my 21 and then I went down to $16. uh which then i lost that fat that bit i think mcguire got him for like 17 18 bucks um Which I was really sad. I really wanted Bernard.
Edgar and Daryll: Um, Really kicking myself for not leaving that $21 bid. But then the big trade came with McGuire and Troy with Bernard and and Love.
Edgar and Daryll: And initially, right? like the trade looks off, right? You're. You didn't even bid for Bernard. You didn't even put a dollar bid, so how bad have you won this guy? And yet you traded away.
Edgar and Daryll: what's supposed to be an amazing running back i know he's struggling he's doing bad and he's in bad offense um But you traded him away for... For Bernard right who you did not place even a dollar bit. So it was suspicious And so he wasn't, right? Because now Bernard is looking kind of good.
Edgar and Daryll: Love is still looking. and You know, not...
Daryll Garcia: Rough.

Edgar and Daryll: commitment from troy as far as like bid wise, right? like you You wanted this individual. you Put a $0 bid, right? it would have been different if it was like a five dollar bid $6 bid, right? 10 % or something, right?
Edgar and Daryll: And then you trade. Which I still think love is an acid. but But then you traded love... for a guy that you didn't even. really place a bid for right so i think that's more of where

Edgar and Daryll: confused but but I get it. I do 100 % agree, and I do think that... At the end of the day, Troy might have. potentially won that trade.

Daryll Garcia: It's great if he... wasn't using him and so he gets a usable piece with Jeremy Bernard, though it's a little bit weird because he also has DK Metcalf.

Daryll Garcia: So you're always kind of either going to play one or the other or play both. but um I think it's a fine trade Because like... Like we discussed, he's a rising star. versus a Unproven Falling Star?

Edgar and Daryll: But Kincaid is being... Not really, like... much of a contributor so that could be a blessing for mcguire he doesn't have to you know, contemplate playing him, so.
Edgar and Daryll: Could be good. Um, Jacksonville right we have Parker Washington who's Troy that's Troy's golden boy um Tudin, who Andrew has, and then Trevor Lawrence.
Edgar and Daryll: who nerev has and and to me that's kind of a big hit for nerev especially because he needs some wins And he has not had any wins. Leliso. That's going to be something to look out for.

Edgar and Daryll: And then Diggs, who has been... Coming back and and getting better and better and better. especially now that Terry McLaurin is probably out for the season with his knee injury. Um,
Edgar and Daryll: So Diggs would have been a really nice matchup this week if he was available, but he's not. So. That's what we have on a bye week. Any upcoming matchups, right?

Daryll Garcia: performing a little bit lower but um He had Lamar Jackson and Parker Washington doing some work for him earlier in the season, and he's just... Been making the right moves.

Daryll Garcia: You know, Troy's 4 -2 and... Yeah, he's been managing his team well this season.

Edgar and Daryll: But he's he's up there in the 145, and I think that's a good... That's a good place to be at that can guarantee you probably more wins than losses. So yeah, I mean, the tutorial has been looking pretty...
