Introduction and Apology

00:00:00
Speaker
Hey, what's up, guys? Welcome back to the podcast. I apologize for not uploading a video last week because I was, as you would say, having writer's block.

Challenges of Content Creation

00:00:13
Speaker
As a content creator, I gotta say, it can be really difficult coming up with new content all the time. Like, it's hard. It's really hard. Now, trust me, there's a lot of people on TikTok that's kinda
00:00:29
Speaker
recreating videos that they see or using other people's audios. I get that. It brings in the views. It's funny and whatnot.
00:00:42
Speaker
Everything that I'm mostly posting is kind of around plant medicine and stuff like that because that's, like I work for these two companies that's kind of in that field. So, you know, I'm trying to come up with new content based around these subjects, right?

Overcoming Creative Blocks with Meditation

00:01:02
Speaker
So, if I'm not coming up with new content and, you know, talking about the products and how it's helping me and ways that it's kind of improved on my life,
00:01:12
Speaker
then I guess I'm kind of useless to these companies, right? So I gotta be on, I gotta be on. And I don't wanna be having these weeks where I'm like, fuck Adam, what am I post today? What am I gonna do this week? What am I gonna talk about on the podcast? So, you know, I'm gonna kind of dive into what I've been doing to kind of get me out of that little funk. And basically, I have been meditating.
00:01:42
Speaker
like for an hour long, doing these hour long sessions. I know that seems like a long time and it is a fucking long time because I remember when I first started meditating, man, I'd be a couple seconds in, fuck this, don't want to do this, mind's racing. And it's just, it wasn't really enjoyable. But with meditation, you know, it's a practice and the more that you do it,
00:02:10
Speaker
the better you're gonna get at it, right? Just like anything else. So, you know, I started out doing five minutes, started out doing 10 minutes.
00:02:18
Speaker
But now, you know, I'm doing an hour long and it's like nothing. It's just like a morning kind of practice that I got going on. And I've only started doing this recently. Like I said, you know, I used to only do like 10, 20 minutes, but the ones that I've been doing now, I found this guided meditation on YouTube. So guided meditation is basically
00:02:43
Speaker
people kind of, there's like a person talking with like this different style of music and they're just kind of guiding you along the whole session. So I found this one, it was your higher self guided meditation and kind of threw that on the other morning.

Enhancing Meditation with Psilocybin

00:03:02
Speaker
And yeah, I've been doing that for probably like the last week and a half now. And
00:03:10
Speaker
Another thing that I kind of incorporated into that was I've been taking my microcybin, but instead of taking one pill, I'm taking two pills. So it's like a little bit more than a micro dose, not a macro dose, but what I've found that by doing this, by taking the 300 milligram psilocybin, doing these long meditations, before I start, I write down, I ask myself some personal questions, things that I want answered, things, you know,
00:03:39
Speaker
What's your goal in life? What are you going to do today? Where do you see yourself in the future? There's kind of little personal questions like that, right? And I'll write those questions down. I'll do my meditation. And as soon as I'm done, I'll answer those questions. And I'll write down any other things that was kind of on my mind during the meditation session. Now, I'm going to try to explain
00:04:07
Speaker
how I've been feeling during the meditation because anybody that never have done this, it's kind of hard to understand what I'm talking about. But just think about a time where you weren't thinking about a single thing. Just think about it. I'm willing to bet that you can. Some people might say yes, but when you go to sleep, you're dreaming, right? So you're thinking about a lot of stuff then.
00:04:35
Speaker
You wake up, you gotta go to work. Whatever you look at, you're thinking about that thing, right? I'm looking at a picture right now, I'm thinking about that picture. You're constantly thinking about stuff all day long. So I find that when I'm really deep into these meditations, and I do find that the psilocybin is helping me get deeper into it. Now, there comes a point in time
00:05:02
Speaker
It's not throughout the whole session, but there is points throughout the sessions where my mind is just so calm and it's so still and it's just like nothingness. There's just nothing there. I'm at my most calm state and it's wild when that happens. It's like I'm not even breathing. It's hard, man. Until you do it, until you do it,
00:05:33
Speaker
You can listen to me talk about it, but you're not really going to

Exploring Breathwork and Emotional Release

00:05:37
Speaker
understand. So I definitely recommend that you definitely try this out. And if you haven't meditated before, ease into it. Don't sit down your first time and try to meditate for an hour.
00:05:51
Speaker
Most likely you're not going to like it. You might, but most likely you're not. So kind of like ease into it. Just do what I did. Like, you know, start five minutes, 10 minutes. There's all these different types of meditation apps. Like I work with this company, other ship, and they have these long meditation sessions, but they also have these like breath work sessions. Now with these like breathing exercises,
00:06:16
Speaker
that you can do, it's kinda like, it's more fast paced. The thing that I was doing today is more, it's more calm. Like I'm, you know, I'm just, I'm not even really, like I'm breathing, but I'm not really breathing. With these breath work sessions, it's more like, it's really like forceful and like you're just bringing in a lot of energy and pushing out a lot of energy and it, when you do that for enough time, you're gonna start to feel like your body vibrating.
00:06:46
Speaker
And I've only experienced this like a few times but one kind of comes to mind. I was doing these like like that for an hour and a half and I remember
00:07:01
Speaker
man, like something just came over me and I was crying and I was like shouting out whatever was on my mind, my whole body. It was just like, it was crazy. It was crazy. It was the most crazy experience I've ever had. And it happened just by me breathing, something that we do every single day. We don't even think about it. It's pretty wild.
00:07:28
Speaker
I've tried so many times to get back to that state when I was meditating and I just couldn't do it. But I'm sure if I keep trying, keep trying, keep trying, we'll be able to get back there. But that time was freaking different. That time was different,

Using Meditation for Anger Management

00:07:46
Speaker
man. I even posted a video about it on
00:07:50
Speaker
my Instagram, you have to scroll down a lot if you're interested in looking, but you can just see the emotion on my face, and I was like, what the fuck? It just happened. I called my buddy, I'm like, dude, what the fuck was that? Yeah, it was pretty wild, but there's definitely a lot of different styles and meditations.
00:08:16
Speaker
to sleep meditations. If you are somebody that is struggling going to sleep at night because you're tossing and you're turning and your brain is going 100 miles an hour and you just can't shut your brain off, try some sleep meditations.
00:08:30
Speaker
I've done this many times before and basically you're just kind of laying there listening to this person and she's guiding you along with a pretty soft gentle voice and you're just focusing on your breathing and when you do that it calms yourself down, calms your mind down and you go to sleep. Instead of just sitting there and thinking about what you're going to do tomorrow and your bills and like your friends and this and that and it can be really hard to go to sleep so if you're definitely struggling
00:08:59
Speaker
going to sleep, I would highly, highly recommend doing some sleep meditations. Now there's like, um, you can do like your morning breath work, uh, meditations. That's like what I was just talking about. Like you're kind of in and out, in and out, in and out, in and out. And you do with the company, other ship, uh, I've done a few sessions with them and it's like, it's like kickstart your day as it's just like a 10 minute session of that. And you're just like really,
00:09:28
Speaker
Breathing really heavily and you know, sometimes going for three out for three In for one out for one and you hold your breath and man it like it will light a fire in your fucking ass and wake you to fuck up
00:09:46
Speaker
Something I've used in meditation before is cold plunging, right? When I first started cold plunging, I just remember how cold my hands were, and I was only focused on that, and I couldn't wait to get out of there, and I was looking at the clock, and I was just like, fuck this, and I jumped out, right? But when I incorporated meditating in the cold plunge, I stopped thinking about how cold my hands was. I stopped thinking about how much time was left on the clock.
00:10:15
Speaker
And I was just focusing on my breathing, and I calmed myself down. And it's fucking wild what you can do with your mind just by breathing and calming the fuck down, right? You know, I have definitely used meditation for, like, calming myself down from being an angry fuck. Like, something that comes to mind was when I was in Alberta working. And I got off the phone with the girlfriend at the time,
00:10:44
Speaker
And I was just fuming. My blood was boiling. My heart was racing. And I just wanted to pull the hair out of my fucking head. And I was like, you know what? I'm gonna meditate. And I just stopped.
00:10:59
Speaker
everything I was doing, turned off my phone, and meditated for five minutes, and I just calmed right down. You know, I remember I was on the phone with my mother one time, and she was really upset, and I told her, I was like, Mom, go in the back room, shut the door, breathe in through your nose, out through your mouth, do that for about two minutes, call me back when you're done. And she did. She actually went and done it. And I do remember she called me back, and she was very calm after she called me back. She was not, like, as upset as what she was.
00:11:27
Speaker
So, I mean, anybody out there that has some hardcore anger issues, I would definitely recommend trying meditating. And there's a lot of people out there who's gonna say, oh, meditation, huh, huh, this was stupid, right? Huh, huh, huh. Like, what are you, if you're saying this, shut the fuck up. No, for real though, there's definitely a lot of people that would say that, but,
00:11:56
Speaker
I feel like people like that is just that they think that they're never wrong and they have a right to be angry and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. But anyways, if you're somebody that gets angry and you don't want to be angry, like just for instance, if you're at work and you're getting really, really frustrated at something or you're overwhelmed or, you know, you're crying or whatever, just go step away from the situation. Take a second.
00:12:25
Speaker
Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. Calm down. Focus on your breathing. Try it. Just try

Meditation's Impact on Success and Creativity

00:12:34
Speaker
it next time. I promise you, it's gonna help. It's gonna help you. It's gonna help you a lot. I don't know why I was just stumbling on my words there, but yeah, meditation is a free tool that we all have access to doing.
00:12:52
Speaker
And there's many different types of meditation, like I was saying. All these big time names like Tony Robbins, LeBron James, Kevin Hart, Jay Shetty, Joe Rogan, all these people that I follow and listen to, they all meditate. And all these very successful people, they meditate.
00:13:16
Speaker
And it calms your mind, makes you more peaceful. And like I said, what it's been doing for me lately is kind of helping me get out of that kind of writer's block. Because every time I do these long sessions, I'm coming out with new ideas. And, you know, I'm more inspired, as you would say. And I did this the other day, you know, I did my hour long session and I, you know, I took the psilocybin and I that that day I did, I filmed three videos.
00:13:46
Speaker
And that's freaking huge, right? So if I just continue to practice this, and I continue to get inspired, that's huge for me, and it's just gonna help me with everything that I'm doing. You know what I mean? Even this podcast that I'm doing right now. I did my meditation today, and when I was done,
00:14:10
Speaker
I filmed a video talking about meditating, whatever, and I'm like, you know what? Let's jump on this podcast and dive deep into this because I really do believe that it's helping me and it helps millions of other people. I know if you try it at home, it's going to help you as well.
00:14:30
Speaker
I would definitely give it a go.

Invitation to Engage and Share Experiences

00:14:32
Speaker
And I would love to hear about it, honestly, if you want to message me and let me know that you try this meditation. The one that I've done specifically, I went on YouTube, typed in higher self meditation, and there was one there that was like 59 minutes long. So there's a bunch on there.
00:14:53
Speaker
There's actually a lot of really good ones on there that I would definitely recommend. But yeah, you're going to find what kind of works for you. But yeah, try it out. And if you want to talk about it and let me know how it worked for you, you messaged me at Adam Pike Fitness on Instagram. My DMs are always open for anybody who wants to talk about anything related to what I'm trying to do, right? Like wellness and mental health.
00:15:22
Speaker
you know, microdosing, fitness, just anything related to that. If you want to talk about it, my DMs are open and I'm here to talk anytime you want. But if you're going to be creepy and weird and say some fucked up shit that I don't want to hear, man, I could sit here and just read out some nasty DMs that I've got from people and it blows my mind
00:15:50
Speaker
that people write this stuff. I'm like, what, what is wrong with you? What is wrong? Anyways, I'm getting off topic with that. That's all as a whole other thing. Yeah. People are fucking nasty, man. I should, I should actually reach out to these people and recommend some meditation, the psilocybin. Yeah. They definitely need that for sure.
00:16:17
Speaker
But anyways, guys, I'm going to end this this podcast off. Let's just do a little recap. So what I've been doing lately is taking two microcybin heels, and that equals 300 milligrams of psilocybin. I'm doing these hour long, higher self meditations. Before I start my sessions, I'm writing down like probably around three questions I want. I want to ask myself and then I kind of go into my meditation and when I'm done,
00:16:48
Speaker
I write down, I fill out the answers and then anything else that's on my mind. And yeah, it's just been helping me get a lot more creative. If someone that has a job where they need to come up with new solutions or they need to be creative in whatever workforce that they're in, I feel like this will definitely help them a lot with their field of work.
00:17:16
Speaker
Anyways, give it a try, let me know, and yeah, if you like this episode, send it to a friend, send it to your mom, send it to your sister, let your dog listen to it.

Conclusion and Appreciation

00:17:28
Speaker
