Top Five Podcast Recommendations

00:01:01
Speaker
But talking about podcasts, I want to talk about my favorite to listen to. And maybe you haven't heard these before, but these are freaking great. Let's go top five podcasts. So number one is probably
00:01:20
Speaker
The School of Greatness, Lewis House. It's amazing. He brings on a lot of good guests, and you guys should check it out. Joe Rogan, obviously, because you've got a variety of everything. He talks about the fight game. He got the comedians on there. He brings on very knowledgeable people. You learn a lot from Joe Rogan. Love Joe Rogan.
00:01:40
Speaker
I also listen to Jay Shetty. He's very like self care, you know, just bettering yourself. And he brings on a lot of great guests as well. Number four, I like listening to caller daddy every now and then like this kind of like one of my guilty pleasures. And I actually like the the impulsive. Is that is that right? Not Jake Paul.
00:02:09
Speaker
Not Jake Paul. What's his name? I can't think of his name. Wow. Anyways, I'm pretty sure it's called The Impulsive, but it's Jake Paul's brother, Logan Paul. Man, Jesus took me a minute to think about that. But I normally throw on his podcast on YouTube and kind of listen to that. So those are my top five. If you haven't heard of him, check him out.
00:02:33
Speaker
What are we talking about today?

Understanding Flow State

00:02:35
Speaker
I want to talk about flow, getting in that flow state of mind. Like people would say for athletes when they get in the zone, that is like getting in the flow state. How do you even get in the flow state? Have you ever, have you ever gotten to the flow state before? Just, just take a second and think about, have you ever been in the flow state of mind before?
00:02:59
Speaker
Let me just talk about what flow state is first. So I believe that when you are in the flow state, it's when something becomes second nature, whatever you're doing becomes second nature. And it's like, you're not even thinking twice about what you're doing. It's just, it's just happening. Like for example, if I'm playing basketball, right? And
00:03:25
Speaker
I'm warming up or something. All my shots are just dropping. All my dribbles are just perfect and like I got my music in. Everything's just flowing. It's just second nature, right? You're happy. You're just in the groove. Everything's just flowing perfectly. You feel good. And like that to me is what flow state is.

Experiencing Flow in Sports

00:03:49
Speaker
Now, trust me, I have been practicing for basketball, putting up shots, and it's not flowing. I'm very inconsistent with basketball, but there's been times when I felt like I was really in a flow. All my shots were just dropped one after another. It doesn't matter what I was putting up, they were going in.
00:04:15
Speaker
and I've really felt like I was in a flow. You know what I mean? I also do some podcasts or if I'm editing a video, things that I enjoy, there's been times where I've really felt like I was in that flow state of mind. And trust me, I've only probably been in the flow state of mind maybe a handful of times lately.
00:04:41
Speaker
But when you get there, that feeling that you get, it'll never ever leave your mind. It's stuck in your mind eternally. It's amazing. Like it's actually amazing. So I wanted to talk about what I personally do to get into that flow state of mind. I want to talk about
00:05:04
Speaker
Um, a basketball game that I had the other night, right? I showed up to the game and I'm like, I never played that well, but when I was warming up, I remember I had my music in and you know, I was just feeling really, really good.
00:05:22
Speaker
Like I was feeling, I was just feeling myself and I was just dribbling around. Everything was just dropping shot after shot after shot. Like I felt really good and I came home, started thinking about it and I was in my flow.

Microdosing and Achieving Flow

00:05:38
Speaker
I was in that flow state of mind. Now, it's really hard to kind of stay in that state of mind because when you get distractions and whatnot, it's kind of, it's hard to stay in that. But there's definitely been games where I was in my flow for the whole game and I played phenomenal. But that doesn't happen every game because I can't sometimes I just let my mind control me. Now,
00:06:09
Speaker
I find that when I am in that flow state and I'm having fun and I'm not thinking about anything else other than basketball I find that I'm just dialed in and Everything is flowing my shots. Everything just feels good. I'm loose. I'm having fun with it and That's when I play my best Now trust me
00:06:34
Speaker
There's been many, many games. I'm not going to lie to you. There's been many, many games where I let my mind control me and I start playing really shit. And I see it in other people. I see when they start getting frustrated and they're letting other people, whatever they're saying, kind of get to them. That's when everybody starts playing shit. Now,
00:07:00
Speaker
Some people are just like this flow, this flow state of mind just comes natural. Like I played against guys and man you cannot stop these guys and they're just...
00:07:09
Speaker
They're just so goddamn good. So that's why when you, when you talk about like NBA athletes or NHL and they're in the zone, right? Like this is just second nature to them. Boxers, you know, Floyd Mayweather. Boxing is just second nature when, like when he starts, when he gets in his zone, you don't think it's like his body, his body just does what he needs to do, right? There's no time to think.
00:07:38
Speaker
I find when I'm on the court, if you even think about shooting, you're probably gonna miss. You just need to get in that flow, catch and shoot. No thinking about it. When you overthink something on the court, never works out.
00:07:56
Speaker
Now, how do you even get in this flow state? I'm gonna kinda walk you by the step by step on what I have been doing

Challenges of Maintaining Flow State

00:08:06
Speaker
to get in that flow state of mind. Now trust me, I'm still working on it. Sometimes this works for me, sometimes it doesn't. But this is what I've been doing as of lately. So first things first, I take my microcybin flow.
00:08:24
Speaker
It's a product, it's called LSD, or it's called Flow, but it's microdosing with LSD. Now, this product is quite amazing, and I've been using it for a while now, and I find when I do the things correctly, I get in that Flow state. And when you get in that Flow state, you're like, God damn, this is amazing.
00:08:51
Speaker
So normally, flow is like liquid, it's a little droplet, you put it on your tongue and I find within like the hour mark, that's when you kind of really start getting into the flow. So for example, if I get a basketball game, say tomorrow, maybe an hour before my game, I take the flow.
00:09:14
Speaker
I normally meditate for around 10, 15 minutes, and I really start putting myself in that mindset of winning. You're gonna win, you're gonna win. And after that, I actually sit down and I start journaling. I just start journaling my intentions. I start just really putting myself in that mindset of you're gonna win.
00:09:42
Speaker
And then the time that I get to the court, I start warming up and I start playing. Normally, in the warmups, that's when I feel like I'm in a flow. But like I said, this doesn't happen every time. This doesn't happen every time. Sometimes I show off to the court and I'm so terrible. I'll be honest with you, I'm so terrible. And I'm working on it, I'm trying to be more consistent
00:10:10
Speaker
because I know when I have these games, you know, I'm scoring 30, like everything's just dropping, I know I can be more consistent like that, right? So it's just a practice, it's just a practice. So this is kind of the steps that I do to help get myself into that flow. And yeah, like when I'm there warming up and no distractions, got my music in, that's when I feel like everything's just flowing and I'm feeling good.
00:10:38
Speaker
Now, if the game starts and maybe I'm missing, I'm getting in my head, the flow's gone. It's just gone. And I find that when I'm having fun and I'm really dialed in, and even when I'm on the bench and I'm really focusing on the game only, nothing else.
00:11:03
Speaker
That's when I'm locked in, dialed in. But the second that I let my mind get to me, if I miss a few shots, start getting down on myself, like maybe getting upset with the other guys because like a bad possession, the second I let myself get to that mindset,

Microdosing Benefits in Daily Life

00:11:24
Speaker
it's all over.
00:11:26
Speaker
And normally I can't pick it back up after that. But when I'm super positive and I'm locked in, dialed into the game, trying to keep the spirits up for everybody, and I'm in that flow, that's when I find I perform the best. Now, I use flow for many other things, right?
00:11:49
Speaker
and normally I do it for podcasting. I find that if I take the flow about an hour before I do my podcast, it's like everything just flows out of me better. It's really hard to explain until you actually experience this and you're not really gonna understand what I'm talking about, but really think back to a time when
00:12:17
Speaker
You were performing a task, whether that's sports or at work, doing a presentation or something, and everything was just flowing so easy. And you weren't really overthinking anything, right? That's when you're kind of in the flow state. But I do find that the flow product with From Microcybin, that kind of helps me get into the flow.
00:12:41
Speaker
Now, you can get in the flow for many different things, right? Whether that's, you know, writing, or creating a project, or getting to the flow when you're playing like Xbox, you know, Call of Duty. You can definitely get into flow with that. Playing an instrument, anything. So, this product is not just meant for a certain thing.
00:13:05
Speaker
You can get into a flow with many different things, right? So I really, really love this product. Now, I don't take this every single day, right? I only take it on days that I got a basketball game and when I do a podcast. So that's probably like two to three times a week.
00:13:25
Speaker
Now, you probably could take it every day, but I don't really feel the need for that. I kind of just use it when I need to. You know what I mean? You don't want to overuse these products, I find. You don't want to depend on these medicines. And that's like with the microdosing, right? The second that you start depending on microcybin,
00:13:49
Speaker
I don't think that's really good. I personally use these medicines, use these products to kind of just help me with what I want to do. It's more like a tool that I can just apply to my life and when used correctly, it's going to bring you to levels that you never thought you can reach, right? I've actually been microdosing, yeah, let's talk about that. I know I said we were going to talk about flow, but
00:14:18
Speaker
It's been next month, March, that'll be a full year of microdosing with microcybin. And it's the journey that I've been on
00:14:35
Speaker
is actually fucking mind-blowing. Like legit, it's actually mind-blowing the journey that I've been on since I've been with Michael Seibman, really working on myself, really getting to this person that I've always wanted to be. And I always look back on my old self. I always look back on Adam years before.
00:15:02
Speaker
And I shake my head a lot. I'm like, Whoa, I always say like, like, just say if I'm in a conversation with somebody, I'm like, man, you can't be acting like that. Or that, like, when I'm saying that, that used to be me, but I would never like act like that. Now, like, for example,
00:15:20
Speaker
in a past relationship or something, right? Like maybe my mind would think a certain way or create stories and narratives to create problems, relationships that are not even true or maybe I was like jealous at certain times or maybe I thought this way or that way or like just the way I would act in life. Like that Adam is put to bed and he's staying in the bed. Like the new improved Adam
00:15:49
Speaker
ever since I've been micro dosing with micro siven has really just got me to a place in my life where I'm like, really fucking proud of myself and happy. You know what I mean? Like, I'm actually truly happy. And I don't think I was ever truly happy before. Yes, 100%. There's been times like, yeah, I've had a lot of happiness, but there was there was these like, deep
00:16:19
Speaker
rooted issues that were just engraved in me. And I couldn't see past it, right? But I, trust me, I thought that was perfect at the time. But now I'm looking at it, I was far, far from perfect. So these medicines have helped me just become a person that I've always wanted to be. And there's a lot more to microdosing than
00:16:49
Speaker
just popping a pill and thinking everything's gonna be okay, right? And that's what I thought. That's what I thought. But when I really started chatting with these guys from Microsoft and started learning a lot more, that's when I really started using these medicines and just figuring out my brain.
00:17:12
Speaker
why I'm thinking the way I am and just figuring out things from my past. I've had so many aha moments where I was like, uh-huh, wow, right? I've had so many moments like that. I would never have those moments before, but it's almost like these medicines give you a new playing field.
00:17:41
Speaker
Everything that you stopped before is not now. You think differently. You look at things differently. You talk differently. I've said this before, it creates new pathways in your brain. If you actually go on Google and search up
00:18:02
Speaker
Your it's it's it shows like a it's like a two two different brains, right? And it shows the pathways and your all the connections in your brain when you're not micro dosing and all the connections in your brain when you are micro dosing And it actually like there's there's so many different Pathways like new pathways in your brain and and what that is is just new ways of thinking new ways of looking at things
00:18:26
Speaker
That's when you get these new perspectives on everything. So before, I was kind of stuck in my old ways. And I was like, there's people in the world that stay stuck in those ways their entire life and never change because they just believe that that's the right way and everything that they do is the right way and they don't need to change. And I know many people like that.
00:18:52
Speaker
I'm not like that. I don't want to be stuck in my old ways. I always want to evolve and get to new levels, reach new heights that I'm not currently at.
00:19:05
Speaker
That's what I find that microcybin has kind of helped bring me to those new levels.

Morning Routine and Mindset Growth

00:19:11
Speaker
It's like I'm advancing in life a lot faster than I was before. And I'm always looking to improve. I'm always looking to level up. I'm always looking to be better. And I find that
00:19:26
Speaker
I'm gonna walk you through a day of microdosing, okay? Normally, as soon as I wake up, as soon as I wake up, for example, this morning, I took my heel, right? There's a lot of many different products with microcybin, and before I was taking Genesis, but right now, I'm taking heel. So the differences between each product, they have different psilocybens in each product.
00:19:55
Speaker
And it's almost like every psilocybin is a different computer chip. Just think of it as a computer chip that does something different for your computer. And that's exactly what the psilocybin is doing with your brain. Every single different one does something different, right? So I took my heel this morning.
00:20:14
Speaker
I went and meditated. I kind of waited probably about 20, 30 minutes. I did like a little short meditation, kind of like just went over my mantras for the day, set my intentions, because I find it just calms your brain down a lot. And when you do this first thing in the morning, when you really calm down your brain and set your intentions for the day, it really sets the day off right.
00:20:44
Speaker
Just think about it. If I were to wake up in the morning, dive into social media, scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll, and then go on to work, right? You're not really setting your day off right. But I find that when I do this meditation, go over my mantras, set my intentions, and then after I'm done, then I go journal. And everything that I was thinking about while I was meditating, write it all down.
00:21:12
Speaker
Write down my intentions for the day. Write down some goals. Maybe write down some wins that I've had lately. I just put myself in that mindset of you're gonna have a fucking wicked day.
00:21:28
Speaker
So today, well, the sun is out in Newfoundland and it's beautiful and that's very rare. So I was like, you know what? The last couple of days has been crazy. We just had probably 40 centimetres or more of snow within a couple of days. I just went out for a walk because it's beautiful out.
00:21:51
Speaker
And the snow, like, you know, like the stop signs, like street signs and stuff, there's like snow pushed up from the plows and stuff, like almost right at the top of the stop signs. It's insane. Like, there's a lot of snow out there.
00:22:09
Speaker
So yeah, go for a walk, get some sunlight, came home. Then I normally drink coffee. I've only started doing this recently because I've seen a lot of people talking about it. I don't drink coffee first thing in the morning anymore. And why I don't drink coffee first thing in the morning anymore is because I find when I microdose, that gives me energy and that kind of wakes me up and that gives me my motivation.
00:22:33
Speaker
and it makes me focus. So I don't really need to drink that coffee right away. You know, some people just wake up and right away they're drinking coffee, right? So what I've been doing lately is waiting about an hour and a half to two hours before I drink my coffee.
00:22:54
Speaker
Now, I've been drinking this new coffee called Eons, and it says right on the front, Smart Mushroom Coffee. I love the branding on this because it's actually a smarter way of drinking coffee. Now, why is it a smarter way of drinking coffee? Why can't you just go to Tim Hortons, grab a coffee, and drink it that way? Well, when you go to Tim Hortons, it's just caffeine. That's it, right? Now, there's nothing else in there that's beneficial.
00:23:23
Speaker
With the eons, the smart mushroom coffee, they have a bunch of functional mushrooms in there that does wonders for your brain. But there's also a bunch of vitamins and minerals in here as well that's really, really healthy for you. Plus it has the caffeine. So
00:23:41
Speaker
I've been drinking this for the last three weeks. Normally I can drink a coffee and go to sleep, not feel anything. But with this mushroom coffee, I find that I can really, really notice it. Like it's, I'm not trying to sell you guys on anything right now. Like this is legit. Um, this, this is legit. Trust me. Now I only have one coffee.
00:24:05
Speaker
That's it. Before I would have maybe one or two, you know, you get tired, you have another one. But with this, I have one and I'm so focused, I'm so on, and I just feel really, really energized. So yeah, I have my coffee, go on about my day, do whatever work I gotta do. Like I said, if I have a podcast, I'll kinda take my flow. And later on in the day,
00:24:33
Speaker
When I go to train, I'm taking the micro siven sport. And this is also a micro dose, but it's like a pre-workout. Now, I kind of stopped taking all gym supplements.
00:24:49
Speaker
And the reason why I started doing that is because I was taking so many different powders and all these new gym supplements, trying all these new things, like trying to get bigger, put on size, you know what I mean? And a lot of people, you'll see something online about people talking about products and you're just going by, you don't really question it.
00:25:12
Speaker
But when I started microdosing and I started noticing all these really big changes in myself, I started questioning all these other gym supplements that I was taking. So I was like, you know what? I'm going to stop. I'm going to stop taking creatine and pre-workout BCAs and EAAAs and all these different types of supplements for the gym that I was taking.
00:25:37
Speaker
I stopped taking the greens powder. I was taking a lot. I would say anywhere from six to seven powdery shake drinks a day. You don't need that. You don't need that, but it's so out there that you need that to work out, right? Now, trust me, some people love it. They live by it.
00:26:01
Speaker
No shame on that, but I just started doing this for myself. So I stopped taking gym supplements. I would say it's been maybe eight months, maybe more, that I've been done with gym supplements, and I don't notice any difference. So I'm only microdosing now. I do take the protein, protein powder.
00:26:26
Speaker
There's this protein powder that's really tasty. I think it's pre pre science or something. It's like peanut butter cookie. And I'll add that into like my plain Greek yogurt just for taste. I'll add it in my coffee kind of thickens up the coffee. I'll put it in like oatmeal. There's a lot of different things that I put that protein in in because obviously
00:26:49
Speaker
you need your protein and I really do believe in the protein. So I'm not going to stop taking that. But all the other stuff, stop taking that. All the stimulants and all that kind of stuff. Stop taking it. Don't notice a difference. Still go to the gym. Still get crazy workouts. Still putting on size. Still building strength. Like everything is the same.
00:27:11
Speaker
than when I was taking all this stuff before. So to me, most of it is just kind of a money grab and people are making millions, right? So I'll power to them, but for me, I don't really need that stuff because I'm taking microcybin and there's a lot of health benefits behind microcybin. So like I said, when I was seeing these big changes in myself from microcybin, that's when I just started questioning other things that I was taking.
00:27:39
Speaker
I've never seen changes like this in my life when I was taking these other products. So why am I still taking them? So that's when I stopped and started doing microcybin only. So like I said, I take the sport when I'm as a pre-workout, like I take it about a half hour before I work out. And I do find that it just makes me a lot more focused in the gym. It makes my endurance a lot better. I do notice that it's like my airwaves kind of open up.
00:28:08
Speaker
when I'm in the gym. So I, to me is probably the best pre-workout that I've ever had. Cause like, you know, when you take those stimulant pre-workouts and you get the jitters and you're itchy and like, you're just like, your heart's beating a lot. Like, I don't want that. I don't want that. Like when I was younger, I was like, Oh yeah, this, this pre-workout is wicked. This is deadly. Like, Oh, I feel it so much. But like, then it just wears off and like,
00:28:36
Speaker
what, like 30 minutes, right? I find with, with the Microsoft and sport, it, I get this energy, I get this focus, but it's a micro dose. So it lasts much longer into the day. I don't get no crash. I don't get these jittery feelings. Um, and it's quite amazing. So that, that there is kind of like a full day of me micro dosing.

Using Microdosing Products Based on Needs

00:29:01
Speaker
Now, a lot of people ask me a lot of questions like, well, what's your like, what, what, what ones did you take and how do you take it? And, you know, everybody's different, right? There is protocols that follow when you start out with microcybin. And we recommend that you start out with the Genesis for five days in a row, and you take the cleanse and you kind of, you stay on that path for like a month, right? And then once you kind of get used to the products,
00:29:31
Speaker
You're going to figure out what's best for you. A lot of people keep coming back like, oh, when should I take this? When should I take this? When should I take this? I've just been doing it for so long now. I'm just kind of used to it. I understand it. And I have my own protocols that I follow, but like what I follow may not work for you. So.
00:29:49
Speaker
Once you get used to these products, you're going to find out what works best for you. Now, like I said, that's what I did. That's what I'm going to do today. Like the heel, the mushroom coffee, and then the sport. But like sometimes, right, I might wake up in the morning and do a workout in the morning. So I won't take the heel in the morning. I'll take the sport. And just say on days where I'm taking the flow, I don't take a heel in the morning.
00:30:18
Speaker
because I don't like to mix the flow, like the LSD microdosing with the psilocybin

Conclusion and Listener Engagement

00:30:27
Speaker
microdosing. So if I do have a day like today when I'm doing a podcast, or if I got a basketball game, I'll only take the flow that day, right? And then on my days off, whenever I decide to take those days off, I take the receptor cleanse, and I'll only take the receptor cleanse.
00:30:43
Speaker
And what the receptor cleanse does, like a lot of people ask me, well, why do I need the receptor cleanse? How can I just take those days off?
00:30:51
Speaker
without the cleanse. Well, the cleanse is not, there's no psilocybin in there, but it has the products that's going to feel like a micro dose, but it's not the psilocybin. So what this does is kind of helps prevent you build up that tolerance of psilocybin. So anyways, that's, that's just my kind of day. Like when I am micro dosing, that's the products that I take. And like I said, what I take is going to be completely different for you. So
00:31:21
