The Amazing Rewatch: Hey, everybody.
The Amazing Rewatch: i feel like, why did it, why? I'm not sure what's going on. I think. It sounded different than normal. It was like had the button that was like the continuous play. Like it would just like play over and over and over again.
The Amazing Rewatch: So I like pushed it to fade it out early. Anyway. Okay. Hello. This is Jessica and Sadie. And this is our July sister session.
The Amazing Rewatch: And we are excited because i know that we have some new listeners. Our cousin. Oh, yeah. And our aunt. Yeah, we were telling our family about our sisters. Shout out to them. Well, we were laughing about it because we've been doing this since September, end of the month one, and nobody even knew about it, like our family. Yeah, Georgie's like our other sister. She's like, thanks for inviting me, guys. I'm a sister. And we're like, oh, so obviously nobody's listening. Thanks.
The Amazing Rewatch: Thanks for the support. No, we're just not very good advertisers. No, we really need to get our stuff together for that. And don't, like, tell people about it. So. Yeah. um That's our bad.
The Amazing Rewatch: Yep. So, hello, everybody. And if you're new here, these monthly sessions, we have started going through the ABCs.
The Amazing Rewatch: Mm-hmm. April. Well, first, first I want to as of the day this is posted, two days ago, started Released the finale of season 19. Oh, yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: So go take a listen to that. Yes. Of our amazing race content. Which is why we're here. Yes. The OG reason. So go take a listen to that. We liked this season a lot. So um let us know what your thoughts. Yeah. And now we'll do our sister session.
The Amazing Rewatch: So we are now on the letter D. Yes. April was a May was B. What's next? June was C. Now July is D. And we just picked five random categories that start with D. And we're going to start with delights. What is delighting you lately, Sadie? um I'm delighted to go on vacation. Oh, my gosh. I can't even tell you.
The Amazing Rewatch: We have been... Ready? we booked this Disney cruise over a year ago and we are so ready and excited. There's 20 of us in our family going. We've probably talked about it a million times, but we leave in a few days. Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: A week from today at the time of recording this. And I'm so excited because I need a vacation right now. and this one is a vacation. This is not a trip. Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: yeah Like this is a vacation. Yeah. this is There's a difference. Like if you go to Europe. I said that really weird. Europe.
The Amazing Rewatch: Europe. And you like want to get in like all the historical sites and everything. Like it is a trip. And you are waking up early and you're going to bed late and there's not a lot of downtime because you just got to see everything but this one is yeah definitely we have a full day to relax at the pool at our condo um a day at Disney World which is not very relaxing but it's just one day but it's like we're looking at the day of Disney World of like we don't have to do everything right let's just enjoy it it's gonna be hot it's gonna be really really really hot and there's only a couple things on our list that we feel like we really want to do other than that we just want to like experience the disney world disney cruise combo and just like enjoy the full yeah should like our kids are at an age that is just like so magical still and yeah four five four nights five days on a
The Amazing Rewatch: cruise ship. I think we'll still be busy. Yeah. But there's plenty to do. It's, you know, our food's all there for us. We don't have to wonder where we're going to eat. We don't have to figure anything out. We don't have any excursions booked. We're just going to enjoy The time. All the free things that the two islands have to offer and just play on the beach and take it one step at a time. And if we want to do something, we can. And if we don't want to, we don't have to. yep It's going to be great. So i'm very delighted to go on vacation. Yes.
The Amazing Rewatch: That is a great way to start off this discussion. When you said you're up, you're up. How do you even say You're up. You're up. I had a friend say to me, I said something and she said, oh, that just sounded, she's not from Utah. She's like, oh, that was so Utahan of you.
The Amazing Rewatch: i was like, oh, what? What was Utahan? And she said, you say major. Major. Major. It's supposed to be measure. Measure. I say measure.
The Amazing Rewatch: I guess I say major. okay i didn't know that was the Utahan. Okay. Well, a word that I pronounce apparently differently than everybody else. I say generic instead of generic.
The Amazing Rewatch: Yeah, I've never heard you say that and that would bother me. Generic. Okay, but okay, Sadie did my nails a couple weeks ago and we were watching Legally Blonde and Reese Witherspoon in the movie says they switched our toilet paper from Charmin to generic. She says it like I do. Maybe that's where I learned it. Maybe that's where you learned it.
The Amazing Rewatch: guess there's worse ways to learn things than from Legally Blonde. her name? From best movie ever. In the movie. Elle Woods. Elle Woods, yeah. Yeah, we really we watched that the other day and it was is such a good movie. It's like so nostalgic, but just like... Still holds up pretty well. Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: yeah Any other delights you have? Um...
The Amazing Rewatch: I can't think of anything. that like the cruise, like getting ready for the trip really has been just kind of like a major, major. I'm trying to see if there's anybody new that I've followed on social media. that Well, that could be discoveries.
The Amazing Rewatch: That's our next category. Oh, discoveries. Okay. Yeah. If I think of anything that is absolutely delighting me, I will bring it up later. But yeah, discoveries is our next m D word.
The Amazing Rewatch: D word. The D word. I've discovered that I... Like sewing and I'm pretty good at it. Yeah. really just barely started but. She's already made like a dress and pajamas and yeah and a skirt for her Olivia and towel robes. I don't. Yeah. Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: Towel dresses. um i so I'm trying to buy less things. So I bought a sewing machine off of Facebook marketplace and it didn't work.
The Amazing Rewatch: bought for fifty dollars I was like, I really just want to sew and I'm actually going to use it. So then I bought a new one and it works great and I'm happy with my purchase. But another thing I bought off of Facebook marketplace was a vinyl player, like a,
The Amazing Rewatch: a vinyl player i don't know what i'm trying to say a record player record player and it doesn't work either so like a couple things do that i know isn't that so rude a couple things that i bought off there like i still i'll buy a few other things like i bought some really good fabric from this old lady off of facebook marketplace that's great and i've done a few other things but i'm just not gonna buy any more electronics off of there Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: It's really hard to know if that's going to be reliable. But that's annoying that they sell them to you and they don't work. Yeah. But anyways, I love sewing.
The Amazing Rewatch: It's been really fun to learn. i have sewing stuff all over my house right now because my house is small and I don't have like a sewing room. She made us cute little fabric bags for our Disney cruise too. So like if you're not familiar with Disney cruising, there's little hooks outside of every door that you can like put a bag out and people come around and give you pixie dust, which is like just like random stuff.
The Amazing Rewatch: crap basically kind of crap yeah yeah we bought some we just bought a bunch of stickers that we are going to pass out just because it's just you know just want to just do as magical as possible yeah we're going to have kids at this age yeah yeah and i bought some pens oh cute some gel disney gel pens oh cute yeah yeah so i like just had this idea to make these baskets and i made them really cute and each of our doors have a different character theme um um so yeah yeah i made a dress and it actually fits pretty good and i was really proud of myself are you gonna bring it on our trip i'm gonna wear it nice to dinner probably yeah so that's my discovery sewing is fun and makes you proud of yourself and is kind of like methodical and
The Amazing Rewatch: creative creative creative creative why are we talking so weird we can pronounce words real good anyway that's my recent discovery and I'm happy with it nice I have discovered the world of Personal care ASMR.
The Amazing Rewatch: Have you done... Have you seen any of these? Mm-mm. It's... oh
The Amazing Rewatch: It's just... It's just like... stupid Wait for the other one to say something.
The Amazing Rewatch: brain tingly and relaxing and I have been falling asleep to those videos every night for the last couple of weeks. Really? yeah But you're still not into mukbangs yet. I keep thinking about looking at those and I just I will get to it I'm sure okay when you you get to the world of mukbangs tell me what your favorite delicacy is okay because mine is seafood boils yeah which sounds so disgusting the word boil is disgusting boil boil
The Amazing Rewatch: And there's also one that I watched the other night that it was ah a lady that had seven different types of paper. And she just like would like um roll the paper to make the sound and then like kind of like crinkle it up a little bit and then she would write on it. Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: There is just something or there was this one lady that ah she was just doing her job and recorded it in silence. And like the the sound of the binder moving and like the pen writing and the little clickety click click click of her calculator and stuff. I'm like, why is this so soothing? Yeah. It's very weird. Literally everything is content. i would pay good money to go to like an ASMR salon, like a real life one.
The Amazing Rewatch: I went and got a head massage yesterday And it was kind of like that, but not really. Like, it wasn't, like, an intentional, like, we're going to make these sounds to trigger this, like, tingly brain feeling. Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: trying to think of, like, other than mukbangs, like, what kind of ASMR things like that come up for me. Because i get some of that stuff on my For You page, but I'm trying to think.
The Amazing Rewatch: My favorites, I'll tell you if you want to look them up, whoever you or whoever's listening. Oh, sometimes i I get a lot of, they're like Chinese people who just like unpack boxes of new things that they bought and they put them around their house and like use them in their house. Mm-hmm.
The Amazing Rewatch: I don't know why like that one is fascinating to me and then it's always Chinese people that do this too that they like set up these like glamping um spots in the rain so they're like camping in the rain like and none of it's talking it's just yeah so satisfying to just like I'll just send this to you when I when I they come across so you know what i'm talking about um So the ones that I like are Safe Space ASMR and Tingle Sophie ASMR.
The Amazing Rewatch: Did I save you this video? of It looks like they got a video of Oliver off of on TikTok. ah I have to show it to you. It's crazy. This literally looks just like Oliver.
The Amazing Rewatch: Oh, it does. ah okay It's an AI shih tzu eating crackers and drinking a drink. It looks just does like Oliver. Our podcast doggy. Oh my gosh, that's funny.
The Amazing Rewatch: So I discovered that as well. um Oh, the other thing I was going to say that I discovered recently is Mahjong. Yes, I want to learn. that's That can be my delight as well. I'm delighting in knowing how to play Mahjong because it's really fun.
The Amazing Rewatch: My friend learned how and she's like been teaching us neighborhood friends how to play it. And we're kind of at the point now where it's like, okay, we can be competitive. and Oh, yeah. And it's not just like learning learning every single time. That's one of those things that it's like, okay, is Mahjong really gaining popularity or is it just I watched a few videos and I became obsessed and now it's on my For You page and I think it's like No, it really is taking over the world. Like there's like Mahjong cruises. There's Mahjong tours. Like it's it's like a travel sector even right now. So it's not just you. Okay.
The Amazing Rewatch: Because there are times where I'm like, why is not everybody talking about this or everybody concerned about this or everybody, you know, because it's like. Because this is the only thing I see on my social media. It's just all over my page.
The Amazing Rewatch: and you don't have to have a mat but it helps because it has like some of the instructions kind of written on the side of the mat and then you need the racks where you put your tiles and like push them out into the middle and so yeah to get like a nice set of everything that you need it's kind of expensive yeah so it's not like a thing that you can just be like I want to try this today and then never do it again Yeah, but I do do that with expensive things sometimes.
The Amazing Rewatch: Yes, that wouldn't be the only thing I've done that. Trying to think right now, one of my hobbies... I did give up.
The Amazing Rewatch: i had to I had started a hobby of the sourdough, but I had to give that up because that one's too hard. mean, I can't do everything. i i think it would be great to have homemade bread that's you know healthier for you, less preservatives, more and just you know fewer ingredients and tasty But yeah, I don't have time for that. It's so time consuming. Okay. Okay. Okay. The next one is DNF books.
The Amazing Rewatch: Did not finish. Yeah. I don't think I have any. The only book that I can think of that I have not finished in my whole life. Is this one called The Jefferson Key.
The Amazing Rewatch: And it was at a time in my life where I just like was not really reading anyway. So I just like stopped halfway through. But I think I like the concept of it. It seems kind of like Da Vinci Cody, you know, like like hidden clues in American history, kind of national treasure type stuff. So if maybe if I listened to it, I would finish it. But I think that's the only book in my life that I've started and not finished.
The Amazing Rewatch: i yeah I don't d enough DNF books very often. are you going to finish this one? I am going to. It doesn't look like it. I'm looking at her book of Lonesome Dove and she's about...
The Amazing Rewatch: I think I'm 20 pages into there's like 900. So yeah. And she's been talking about reading this one for a while. it It's book club book for August. No, yeah you better bring that on our trip.
The Amazing Rewatch: That's been the plan. I need to read a lot on the trip. Um, Because we didn't do book club in July. So they said, oh, for July and August, we're going to sign really long books. So they signed Lonesome Dove or then another option was It, which i I hate Stephen King and scary stuff. So I didn't do that one. And then another one was Count of Monte Cristo, which we talked about this already. Yes. But anyways, doing Lonesome Dove. I'll get there.
The Amazing Rewatch: I'm not going to DNF it. um I did do DNF Wuthering Heights, though. Oh, yeah. And that probably sounds like blasphemy to some people. But I did not enjoy it. I thought every single character in that book was awful.
The Amazing Rewatch: And the main characters were just like entitled and terrible to each other. And they called it love. But it was actual like toxic trauma abuse.
The Amazing Rewatch: And I mean, maybe that's the point of the book, but I just did not like it. It doesn't, it did not... Did you like the movie? do you do I feel the same way about the movie. I loved the costume design and the cinematography and like all the stuff supporting the movie. But the storyline really is. Have you seen it? hu The storyline really is so toxic and dramatic and like everyone is terrible.
The Amazing Rewatch: but the the makeup and the hair and the clothes and the cinematography are incredible and the music incredible directing was incredible but the story sucks and everyone sucks so I did dnf withering heights I almost dnf'd my most recent book have you read the fine print or heard of the fine print mm-hmm This is one of the books where it's like, if this can get published, I can get published.
The Amazing Rewatch: Because, so it it's actually an interesting concept that I thought would be really cute and fun. And it's been on my TBR for a really long time, but it's like a romantic It's actually a series, but the main male character is um the owner of basically like Disneyland, but it's called Dreamland in the book. It's not Disneyland, but you understand that it's Disneyland. Gotcha.
The Amazing Rewatch: And um his grandfather who founded Disneyland died and like gives him a task to do something something before he gets and his inheritance of like billions of dollars and can be like on the board or whatever. And through these tasks he falls in love with one of the employees at Dreamland and she like makes him see the good in people and what's worth it in life and stuff like that. Anyways.
The Amazing Rewatch: Interesting concept. I would be like, oh, like, it'd be fun to fall in love with somebody who owns Disneyland. Yeah. But it was awful. And I was really close to DNFing it, but I just put it on, like, two and a half speed, which I barely could understand.
The Amazing Rewatch: But yeah, literally just to like get through it to say that I finished it because I was like halfway through and I was like dreading actually reading it or listening to it. So I just hurried and finished it and it was real bad.
The Amazing Rewatch: It's just so cheesy and predictable. It's like it really sounds like AI wrote it. Seriously. it sucked. So I only gave it two stars.
The Amazing Rewatch: Which is the worst rating I've ever going to given a book on Goodreads. Wow. I just feel like two stars. If you got published, you should get like two stars. Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: no Just like participation trophy. yeah i What was the book that I finished just the other day? i told you about it.
The Amazing Rewatch: um Gone Before Goodbye by Reese Witherspoon and Harlan Coben. Mm-hmm. And I did – like, it did capture my attention and I liked it, but the ending was a little bit confusing and it was like they tried to throw in, like, several plot twists that I'm like, wait a second.
The Amazing Rewatch: What is happening? Yeah. That didn't really make sense with the story. Yeah. And –
The Amazing Rewatch: possibly like setting up for a sequel maybe like i felt like there was like a couple of open ends that didn't get solved or tied up but i did it was fine i liked it um and i'm reading now maybe you you recommended this to me the love equation the soulmate equation m yeah Christina Lauren, which is two people.
The Amazing Rewatch: Yeah. One's Christina, one's Lauren. Okay. Yeah. So I'm 28% into that book. Yeah. That one was good, but i was really listening to and was like, have I listened to this one before?
The Amazing Rewatch: Yeah. on the but The main character's name is Jessica. um I haven't DNF'd this series. i just am taking a long time to get through it. I'm trying to read Throne of Glass because everybody says it's a life-changing series. This is a hot topic of conversation in my book club.
The Amazing Rewatch: There's eight books and I'm on book three. Well, and also it's a hot topic of what order to read them in and tandem reading books like six and seven at the same time. oh Yeah, you should read like chapter one and then chapter two, three, four and then read oh not two, three, four, five. you read six, know, like that kind of people are so intense on it. But anyways, I did the order of like book one, book two. And then there's a prequel called Assassin's Blade. I read book one and book two. I'm on the prequel of. And this is the order that they can i recommend. Yeah. Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: And i it's been over a year and I'm only halfway through the book and I haven't DNF'd it yet and I have hope that the series will actually be yet. I just, like a year from now when we're doing this update, I'll be like, everybody read Throne of Glass. It is so good and you have to read it. But right now I'm like, well, when? Because I'm on three books and I'm having a really hard time getting through it. so I haven't given up yet, but.
The Amazing Rewatch: That seems to be, so there's like three or four people in our book club that have said that they're like Throne of Glass is the best series ever. Everybody should read it. And then like maybe three or four people that have like tried to read it and they're like, I just can't get into it. And the people that love it say that you have to get past book three. Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: So. So you're almost there maybe, but it also shouldn't like, it shouldn't take three books. I know. to get through. Why say that? And then when, when you have to like get through it. Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: I say that about like Breaking Bad. You have to get through season one and then you'll never stop. Like it's so good, but you have to get through season one. It's like The Office or Parks and Rec too. Yeah. It's like, well, why do you have to get through something to enjoy something? Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: When I watch The Office, I usually like if I rewatch it, I usually skip season one and two and I just start with three. Yeah. Yeah. Season one of Parks and Rec is pretty bad.
The Amazing Rewatch: But the rest of it's so good. Yeah. I've also tried to watch 30 Rock a few times and I just can't get through season one. But I think it's one of those that's like once you like get past season one, it gets better. Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: anyway. Okay. So, yeah. i haven't DNF'd thrown a glass yet. I'll get through it, but it's just taken a long time. Literally years.
The Amazing Rewatch: Yeah. Okay. Next one is Dumb Dumb Club Moments. So, this one is shout out to our favorite one of our favorite podcasters, Maddie Murphy, who does the bad broadcast. And she has Like the way that she does her podcast is she does a lot of like listener submissions and like will read things that people send in to a certain prompt or whatever. And she has one called the Dumb Dumb Club where it's like um things that you discovered late in life that you should have known. hmm.
The Amazing Rewatch: Like, like, I just realized that Alaska was not actually south of California on a map. Yeah. Because, yeah. I'm trying to see on her page if she has like Dum Dum Club.
The Amazing Rewatch: like Well, she blocked me, so I can't see anything that she posts. know, that's so. We still think, well, I still think it's weird. I don't know what I did to offend her. but i don't know if she was like on a rampage and just started. Or because I have a common name. My name is Jessica. She could have been like trying to block somebody else with my same name and she blocked me instead.
The Amazing Rewatch: I don't really know. Yeah. The only thing that I ever messaged her was that but the owner of Grandma Sycamore's bread was not very nice.
The Amazing Rewatch: So um maybe that's maybe that just made it really mad. too offensive. I'm trying to look up some dumb, dumb... stuff on reddit but um two dumdum club themes that things that i um just remember thinking myself and realizing that them so tpeeing like tpeeing somebody's house oh yeah toilet paper i didn't know it meant toilet paper i meant that I thought it meant that like when you throw the toilet paper over the tree, it creates the shape of a teepee.
The Amazing Rewatch: That's what I thought teepeeing was. That makes sense. And then um the song Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Leppard. Yes. What was it? Awesome. i these the biggest I thought it said awesome. I can't even say it. Awesome, stupid, en blay.
The Amazing Rewatch: um always i was play I thought it was like a Spanish word like ombre or something. but who's This British rock band. I have no idea. i don't know why it said something like awesome stupid ombre.
The Amazing Rewatch: yeah I don't know. were listening to Def Leppard when we were really young. yeah, that was like Def Leppard, Shania Faith Hill, Keith Urban. Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: yeah faith hill keith urbanin yeah are I mean, my our parents were not like, they didn't listen to every 80s rock band, like pretty much only Def Leppard and Loverboy was like a CD that they had. Yeah, dad did have ZZ Top one. Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: But art yeah, our parents were born in the 60s and like did high school. in the 80s so that was you know like their formative years so we did we did have some 80s and 90s music for sure yeah um well this is not mine personally but when you said that it made me think of jeff when we were gosh it was like a couple of years ago uh What's that movie with Ryan Reynolds?
The Amazing Rewatch: the The video game one. Oh, Fall Guy? No. free Free Guy? Free Guy, yeah. Fall Guy was Ryan Gosling. Yeah, and that one was good. That one's a good one. Free Guy.
The Amazing Rewatch: um In the movie, there's... the Mariah Carey song, Sweet Sweet Fantasy. And after we went to the theater and watched that movie, Jeff was walking around the house singing, Sweet Sweet Medicine Baby. And I'm like,
The Amazing Rewatch: Do you think that that's the words? And he's like, is it not? Like, I didn't know if he was joking or... Like, it's sweet, sweet fantasy. So that is one that... A misunderstood lyric. Yeah. That makes me giggle.
The Amazing Rewatch: I'm trying to think. I know... i mean, I'm just the smartest person ever. I've never had a Dum Dum Club moment. Yeah. No, hope that's not true. I just can't think of any right this second. I want to find them, like, listed out somewhere. Like, something...
The Amazing Rewatch: Yeah, a lot of like when people submit to this podcast, that there's a lot of like misunderstood words, misunderstood lyrics. um Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: Because some of them are so funny and like some of them are like, oh my gosh, how could you not? How did you get through life not knowing that?
The Amazing Rewatch: So, yeah. I guess that's all. So go listen to the bad broadcast and you can hear some of the Dumb Dumb Club moments. And then we have Disney Faves. This is a very Disney heavy episode. Yeah. Well, we have it on our mind. So, okay.
The Amazing Rewatch: Disney Faves. What's your favorite Disneyland ride? um Either the teacups or Pites of the Caribbean.
The Amazing Rewatch: Okay.
The Amazing Rewatch: Okay, if we're just talking Disneyland and not California Adventure, i probably... I actually like the Matterhorn and I know people don't like it because it is a little bit rough, but I think that's what makes it fun. It's like, it's really funny to watch people get off that ride and like. in pain. Yeah. That's so funny. Teacups, yeah, is like a classic favorite and just like.
The Amazing Rewatch: Or Storybook Land. I like that Yeah, but only at night. Yeah. You cannot do that one in the daytime. No. So, California Adventure, my favorite is Guardians of the Galaxy for sure. And like both sides combined, that's my favorite.
The Amazing Rewatch: My favorite is Midway Mania. That one's fun. um My second favorite is Luigi's Rollick and Roadsters. Yeah. i love that ride. That one's so good.
The Amazing Rewatch: I will do that one every time. Mm-hmm. Yeah, so good. Yeah, like the Disneyland rides, my favorite ones are like nostalgic rides. If I went on teacups at a different place, I'd be like, this is dumb. like we're going to Disney World and the teacups are different. Like it's it's like covered.
The Amazing Rewatch: yeah And it doesn't have the cute lanterns. and yeah that aired That corner right there with the lanterns and storybook ah at night is the best part. And like the trees lit up and like you can see Small World in the distance. I feel like it's a it's a hot debate like whether Disneyland or Disney World is better. And most people that have been to both say that Disneyland is better. There's way more rides. the It's just got that like you can tell that Walt himself was there. like It has his influence and...
The Amazing Rewatch: Yeah. Or some people go. Like the rides that are comparable that are there in both parks. The ones at Disneyland are usually better. Yeah. I feel like people have like their home. Yeah. What you're most familiar with. So people who have always gone to Disney World would say it's better, but Disneyland is better than Disney World. Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: It's the OG. Yeah. So what's your favorite? we i mean, we just don't have like a ton of experience at Disney World. I've been to each park one time. I've been to Animal Kingdom twice.
The Amazing Rewatch: um when I've only been to Disney World once and I was pregnant with Olivia. And I was like in my first trimester and I was so tired. So she was tired and sick and she couldn't ride any rides, like any of the big rides. was like go home early.
The Amazing Rewatch: But I still had a good time. yeah was just like so tired. um I really loved Epcot. That was so fun. That was fun And you could do that pregnant. so Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: Um, so, okay, so what's your favorite Disneyland treat? Um, the corn dogs from California Adventure. Corn dog castle. I like, the corn dogs are good too, but I like the ones with cheese. Oh my gosh, it's good. So, yeah, that, the raspberry macaron is so good.
The Amazing Rewatch: I don't love macarons. From Jolly Holiday. um... um
The Amazing Rewatch: Hmm. Just any of the, like, the soups in the bread bowl, those are really good, like, on a cold trip. and Have you tried the spicy pickles?
The Amazing Rewatch: Mm-mm. That's kind of become like a new thing. Like they're like a pickle in a bag. Yeah. And there's one that like they have one you can get original or spicy and the spicy ones are so good.
The Amazing Rewatch: The um lumpia from Tropical Highway. yeah. That's really, really good. I sound like, ah you know, that Cameron Diaz video.
The Amazing Rewatch: No. Where she's like lumpia. lumper I'll have to send it to you. um So yeah, I think those are some of my faves.
The Amazing Rewatch: the They had like a lemon ice cream at the um Abominable Snowman Shack in California Adventure. That really good. good And anything in the pi in the San Francisco area was really good. Pacific Wharf. i don't I think they changed, what's it, Aunt Cass's Cafe and the Mexican restaurant and the Chinese restaurant. Those are all really good. Mm-hmm.
The Amazing Rewatch: Yeah. i those the pizza and bannaas in marvel an adventureers campus is kind of a newerish like in the last year and a half maybe and they're really good i like those i'm actually not a big churro person like i will eat a bite if somebody else like has one or like offers me one but i don't usually just like go out and buy a cheurro Olivia loves them.
The Amazing Rewatch: um And they serve churro waffles on the last day of the Disney Cruise. The Mickey waffles are churro on the last day and it's like a big thing. Like you have to get the churro waffles. So that reminds me of, so I, you know, we've been doing like a lot of research for the Disney Cruise and like just, we don't want to miss anything because it's our first time.
The Amazing Rewatch: And I was on a Reddit thread today And somebody asked if there's food on Castaway Cay or Lookout Cay, one of the islands. And somebody said, yes, and most of it's included. However, some of the specialty ice some of the specialty ice cream is extra cost.
The Amazing Rewatch: But the Dole Whip smoothie, ah i think is what she said. She's like, it's worth every penny. In fact, I would give the left loaf of my pancreas. Yeah. to have a Dole Whip smoothie in my hand right now.
The Amazing Rewatch: That's so weird. know. I'm like, I didn't know you could do that, but okay, apparently it's really good. We're going to try that one. We'll have to try that one. Yeah. There's just so many good things to eat there. Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: i I love eating at Disneyland. Yeah. The Disney World food, like I went through and looked at all of the dining establishments and there's just like not as many things that sound good as there is at Disneyland. And I think that is another thing that like when compared Magic Kingdom and Disneyland, Disneyland has better food and that's like kind of like a universal thing.
The Amazing Rewatch: known fact like even people that like disney world better they're like yeah disney land food is better yeah and i always have to get the churro toffee and i love going to wendy the pooh's corner pooh's corner for the bakery there yeah those have cute things yeah oh i like the bangle the banyan beef skewers at bangle barbecue too like i really just like spicy stuff The cold brew from Docking Bay 7 in Galaxy's Edge. is I could drink that every single day. That is so. I don't think I've ever had any food at all in Galaxy's Edge. The Rontal wraps are really good.
The Amazing Rewatch: That one is like on my list every once in a while, but I just like never go back there. I go back for the one ride and then leave. Like I don't spend any time in Galaxy's Edge. Yeah. When we went last time, we were walking through Galaxy's Edge kind of at night and they had like cool stuff happening and stuff. And Olivia's like, this was the end of a long day where she just had the best day of her life and got everything she wanted. and She said, I guess Disneyland is a pretty cool place.
The Amazing Rewatch: like Yeah, it is. Anyways, yes. The Ronto Wrap and the Black Calf Cold Brew are amazing.
The Amazing Rewatch: Hmm. And I love. oh sorry. We could keep talking about this for a long time. Going to Galaxy's Edge and the cold bottled sodas are those circles. The little round, yeah. And they're like extra cold there and extra crispy.
The Amazing Rewatch: I don't I don't. I really don't love bottled soda. I don't either. But they're so good from right there. Okay. um What's your favorite Disney movie?
The Amazing Rewatch: That one's really hard. Yeah. What? Animated? How can you ask me that question? Let's see. Yeah. Let's go animated first. And then. I think it's just the time I grew up that my favorite time period of animation was like Hercules, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Tarzan.
The Amazing Rewatch: Like late 90s. Yeah. Yeah. uh treasure planet those were like my early 2000s yeah so i was born in 89 which is when little mermaid came out and that one i think is like just kind of like my all-time favorite i watched it so much i do love that one the music is like it's so good but i i i love all of them They're a a trend on TikTok. It's like, what movie could you watch from beginning to end and narrate word for word to win like a million dollars or whatever? Like, gun to your head, you have to narrate a movie word for word from beginning to end. I could probably do that with Hercules, i think.
The Amazing Rewatch: Yeah. I probably could with a Little Mermaid. Yeah. Or Beauty and the Beast.
The Amazing Rewatch: It's hard to pick. So favorite animated? Probably, yeah. Those four. Hercules, Tarzan, Hunchback, and Treasure Planet. Treasure Planet is such a That's like an odd one.
The Amazing Rewatch: know, but I have always loved It's like one that people don't talk about. or Yeah. What was the... Oh, we watched Atlantis with the kids a couple months ago.
The Amazing Rewatch: i also i love Tangled. Tangled. um And I love Princess and the Frog. That's where Evie got her name. I think I'm excited for the live action Tangled. I think that will won be good. The new live action Moana just then kind of failed. But I'm like, but people didn't want that. Yeah, it was too soon. Yeah, it came out just barely.
The Amazing Rewatch: I want them to do like a live action like Fox and the Hound or they should do a live action Sword in the Stone. I think that would be so good. would be fun. Like things that are typical more back in the day. Yeah. Moana just happened.
The Amazing Rewatch: They might show that on the cruise ship. Like the theater on the cruise ships for Disney, they show like first run movies, like movies that are in theaters right now.
The Amazing Rewatch: So we might see Moana. Yeah. Does Spider-Man come out? No, August 30th. Oh, okay. So that one still a ways out. Yeah. I'm really excited for that.
The Amazing Rewatch: And favorite like Disney non-animated? Probably Pirates of the Caribbean. It's a perfect movie. yeah It's the first actual perfection.
The Amazing Rewatch: It's really good. i do like that one. That could probably be another one that I could narrate from beginning to end. I'm not kidding. That one's kind of long, though. Yeah. yeah Lots of... I'm trying to think of like any need that I watch...
The Amazing Rewatch: Over and over. Well, now that Star Wars is Disney, it's hard to pick. so That doesn't affect my decision whatsoever. Star Wars Episode 3 is up there.
The Amazing Rewatch: So fun. Is that all of our Disney faves? Anything else? I want to keep talking about Disney. um kind of Character. Favorite character. Belle is my favorite princess.
The Amazing Rewatch: And... Probably Tigger and Winnie the Pooh are my favorite characters. Okay.
The Amazing Rewatch: Yeah. Those are probably my favorites. Yeah. always loved Ariel. I do still love Ariel. Sometimes I watch it now as an adult and I'm like, you're 16. Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: You're too young. You're actually were ridiculous. Yeah. So watching it from an adult lens is a little bit different, but she's still a favorite. And there there was a point where I said...
The Amazing Rewatch: like I did like Tinkerbell a lot. I bought a Tinkerbell necklace at Claire's when I was like in high school. And I was like, ooh, I love Tinkerbell. And then I proceeded to get Tinkerbell gifts for my birthday and Christmas from everybody for the next like three years.
The Amazing Rewatch: like, okay. no i didn't I did like her. I actually still have one of the Tinkerbell things that I got from yeah my little high school boyfriend that...
The Amazing Rewatch: yeah you should He shall not be named. That ended up really weird later. Yeah, Tinkerbell...
The Amazing Rewatch: Who's your avatar on Disney Plus? Belle. I just changed mine to Jessie because i just discovered, ah if we're going with discoveries, that her real name is Jessica.
The Amazing Rewatch: If you've watched Toy Story 5. Oh, yeah. remember I don't remember them seeing Jessica though. Oh, well, there was one part where was like, classic Jessica. And now Jeff says that all the time.
The Amazing Rewatch: When did they say that? I can't remember. Classic Jessica. That was funny part. Classic Jessica. That's funny. um Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: And Olivia says Stitch. I think she likes Stitch and Angel so much just because I mean, I mean, I don't think she would really care about it unless they cared about Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: Evie just changed to her avatar to Anxiety from Inside Out and she changed the name, but she spelled it Anxity. A-N-X-I-T-Y. thanks that's so Anxiety.
The Amazing Rewatch: Anxiety would do that. That's funny. I was just going to ask you a question about
The Amazing Rewatch: what you were talking about.
The Amazing Rewatch: What question did did you did you ask me before?
The Amazing Rewatch: Characters? Favorite character? Favorite live action movie? Dang it. if Princesses? Shoot. Dang it.
The Amazing Rewatch: Shoot. You sound like Cindy. yeah From Amazing Race Season 19. Shoot. i guess we did talk enough about Disney. I did want to okay, this is like rapid fire. We don't need to think too much about it.
The Amazing Rewatch: Um, drink dinner, dessert. Like what's your perfect meal at a restaurant? drink dinner, dessert. Any restaurant? Oh, rapid fire. So got to go fast. Drink an icy cold Diet Coke with a lemon slice with no um seeds in the lemon slice. Okay.
The Amazing Rewatch: I have to pick us seat pick the seeds out all the time. um And then i really love like...
The Amazing Rewatch: It doesn't to be a specific restaurant, but just like, yeah. So it would be like if you could get like a really crispy cold Caesar salad and the lettuce was thinly sliced, not big chunks of lettuce. And wouldn't give you diarrhea? Yeah. one Did not have cyclospora.
The Amazing Rewatch: And had like fried, like crispy chicken and a lot of Parmesan and some really good bread and dessert.
The Amazing Rewatch: The butter cake from... ah What's that place called? Oh, that Mexican restaurant? Yeah. The Sol Agave? Yeah. Okay. That'd be a perfect dinner. okay ah i would say a Dr. Pepper or like a really good raspberry lemonade.
The Amazing Rewatch: And then for food, i what is coming to my mind right now is like an Irish stew or like, it's like a chicken pot pie. Like, there was a, you ordered that. Well, cause they don't have that in Utah.
The Amazing Rewatch: I'm thinking of dinner in Ireland. Okay. Like my favorite thing that we ate in Ireland was the Irish stew and it was so good. Yeah. I would order do that if a restaurant here had good Irish stew. Okay. Okay.
The Amazing Rewatch: with like With some good um bread. bread like the It's not rye bread. Maybe it is. i don't know. The bread that they have in Ireland. The brown bread. Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: With some good butter. And then dessert would be oh fresh out of the oven, halfway underdone, hot, melty, gooey cookie, chocolate chip cookie with a scoop of ice cream on top. Mm-hmm.
The Amazing Rewatch: You forgot that we were doing that? thought you were just asking for fun. oh no.
The Amazing Rewatch: Okay. Well, we should probably go to bed. Yeah. It's late. We have, well, you have a long day tomorrow. The week starts tomorrow. I do too. We've got a lot of things on our to-do list for getting ready for our trip.
The Amazing Rewatch: And we did my nails tonight, so we crossed one of those things off. And they're really, really cute. They're cute. but Yeah, I'm going to start packing. to clean up the house, ah run some errands, get my eyelashes done.
The Amazing Rewatch: So many things. Yeah, because it's so nice to come home to a clean house. Yeah. Sucks coming home to a dirty house. I know. So I'm like, okay, if we can get it like mostly done at the first half of the week, like get everything cleaned up and I have the hiccups cleaned up and picked up. Then like, because we live on Sunday. So like Saturday we can just dust, vacuum, clean bathrooms, you know, kind of like that final stuff. And then,
The Amazing Rewatch: Okay. Okay. Well, thanks for listening. Happy July. Welcome, August. Best month of the year. Yeah. i You have a personal reasons for that. i do think June the best month of the year, but August is a lot of good birthdays. so Yeah. We have, in our family, our birthday heavy months are July and August for sure. Mm-hmm.
The Amazing Rewatch: So I don't have any particular love for August. It's too hot and school starts. School starts, which is actually great for me now. But yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: What is my favorite month? My birthday is in February and it is a fun month because I do love Valentine's Day too. it's just like, I think I like October, which is cliche, but I love fall.
The Amazing Rewatch: Well, Things are cliches for a reason. I know. I love being a basic biatch because the things that people like, they like them for a reason. Yeah.
The Amazing Rewatch: i like those things. And I'm not going to be ashamed of it anymore. Okay. All right. Well, with that, see you later. Bye.
