Today we will continue reading the Book of Revelation, Chapters 11 and 12.
Today we will read and discuss God's Great power. He has won against Satan! And because He has won, WE HAVE WON! We won with Jesus' Blood! We won by not loving our physical lives more than our spiritual lives. We won by not turning away from God. We won by following God NO MATTER WHAT! Satan has been cast down from heaven. He and his angels are on the earth, with us. They are ANGRY. But we don't need to worry. Jesus is greater than Satan! We need to remember that we are not fighting a physical battle. We are fighting a spiritual battle. When you are struggling against your sinful nature, take the time to remember that JESUS MAKES US STRONG and WE HAVE WON OVER SIN! YOU CAN DO IT! You have been set free! You do not have to choose to keep doing the same sinful behaviors. You can choose to do what JESUS wants you to do instead of what your sinful nature wants to do! JESUS WILL MAKE YOU STRONG! Let's praise God the way we read about today in Revelation: We thank you, Lord God of all power. We thank you that you are the One who lives now and forever. Bring good to all your people, small and great, but get rid of the people who destroy the earth. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Welcome back, everybody. Today is December 26. My name is Robin. I'm with In the Family Way Coaching, and I am so excited to bring you today's reading.

We are going through the Day by Day Kids Bible, written by Karen Henley. We are going to be covering Revelation chapters 11 and 12 today, and I am so excited.

But before we get to it, I don't want to forget, let's take out our calendars. Let's get ready to cross off our day, because we're about to hear the Bible today.

Victory Over Sin Through Jesus

Well, we are going to be seeing in our reading today that we are on the winning team. We have spoken about that this year, and we are going to be seeing another affirmation that we have won over sin.

We are on the winning side. So when we have the the foreknowledge that we are going to win, it makes it easier to win over those small battles that we have when we are fighting against our sinful nature.

When we are fighting against the flesh and we want the spirit to win. So we need to remember the fact that we are already on the winning side.

So we know that we can win over whatever it is that we are wanting to do and are having a hard time doing it. Because Jesus will make us strong and we have won over sin.

We're going to be seeing that today as well as ah confirmation again that Jesus is coming and he will rule on the earth.

That the earth will be his to rule. He will rule forever. He is our King of Kings and Lord of Lords. And he is the Prince of Shalom.

So let's begin. Get to it today. I'm just so excited.
Prophecy and the Two Witnesses

John is up in heaven with his vision. And the last thing we read was that John was given a small scroll and he was told to eat it and that it would taste sweet in his mouth, but it would turn his stomach sour.

And that's exactly what it did. Then a voice said to John, you must tell God's plans again. We call that prophesy.

John would have to prophesy again. Tell God's plans for people, nations, languages, and kings. So today we are going to be reading about God's plans for people, nations, languages, and kings.

Then someone gave me a stick to measure with, and I was told, go, measure God's worship house, measure the altar, count how many people worship there, but do not measure the outside yard that has walls around it.

It belongs to people who are not Jewish, and they will march over the holy city for 42 months. I will give power to two people who see and tell the truth, and they will tell my plans for 1,260 days.

There are two olive trees in front of the Lord. They stand for these two people. In our Big Bible, they are called God's witnesses.

There are two lamps in front of the Lord. In our big Bible, they are called menorah. And they stand for these people too. What if somebody tries to hurt them?

Then fire comes out of their mouths and it burns up their enemies. People who want to hurt them will die this way. And these two men have power to close the sky.

It will not rain while they tell God's plans. They have the power to turn water into blood. They have power to send sickness to the earth.

And they can do it as much as they want.

They will finish telling about God.
Resurrection and Divine Power

Then the animal from the bottomless pit will come up. It will jump on them and kill them.

Their bodies will stay in the city street. It is the city where Jesus was killed.

People from everywhere will look at their bodies and nobody will put their bodies into a grave. The people will be glad they are gone because they and they will send gifts to each other because of it.

And that's because these men had upset them.

I saw that three and a half days passed. Then God's breath of life came into them. They stood up and people who saw them were very scared.

Then they heard a loud voice out of heaven and it said, Come here. and These two men went to heaven in a cloud.

Their enemies watched it. Right then the earth shook wildly. Part of the city fell down. 7,000 people were killed.

and The other people were as scared as they could be. They said God in heaven was the great one. That is such a contrast to yesterday when we saw that everything that had gone on, people still word would not turn away from their sinful behavior and acknowledge God.

Here we see that after they have seen the witnesses come back to life and go up to heaven with God when he calls them, that they are not only as scared as they could be, but they said that God in heaven was the great one.

The second terrible thing has passed now.
The Eternal Kingdom and Final Woes

We call that the woe. The second woe has passed. And the third one will come soon.

The last angel blew his horn and loud voice in heaven called out, The world's kingdom is now the Lord's kingdom.

He will rule as king forever and ever. Don't you just want to say amen? i know I did.

The 24 leaders sat on their thrones in front of God. They bowed their faces to the ground and they worshiped God. This is what they said.

We thank you, Lord God of all power. You are the one who lives now and you lived before.

We thank you. You are starting to rule with your great power. It is time to judge people. Bring good to your people, small and great, but get rid of people who destroy the earth.

Then God's heavenly worship house opened and inside was the ark. It was the box of his promises. Lightning flashed and thunder rolled and crashed and the earth shook.

Hail fell from the sky.
Symbolism of Israel and the Dragon

Then I saw a great sign come into the sky. It was a wonderful sign.

It was a woman. I'm going to stop here because I want to give us some explanation of this particular portion. This is symbolism for Israel.

Israel is the woman. It says she wore the sun. The moon was under her feet. And she had a crown of 12 stars on her head.

Those 12 stars would represent the 12 tribes of Israel. She was going to have a baby.

do you know what baby Israel was going to have?

Then another sign came into the sky. It was a huge red dragon. It had seven heads. It had ten horns.

It had seven crowns on its heads. We read about this similar vision from Daniel. He saw the dragon with the ten horns as well.

The dragon's tail pushed stars from the sky. It tossed them onto the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman.

She was going to have her baby soon, but he was going to swallow her baby. The woman had a baby boy. He will be king of all the nations.

He will rule firmly and strongly. And this baby was quickly taken up to God. He was taken to where God rules as king.

This is referring to when Jesus was born. And it's referring to the fact that when he lived, he also, after he died, he ascended into heaven.

and that is where she went there she could be taken care of for one thousand two hundred and sixty days remember that's the same number of days we just read about Then there was a war in heaven, and Michael and his angels fought the dragon.

The dragon and his angels fought back, but the dragon was not strong enough. He and his angels lost their place in heaven.

The great dragon was thrown down. He is that old snake called the devil or Satan. And he leads the whole world to do wrong.

He and his angels were thrown to the earth.
Victory Through Jesus' Sacrifice

Then a voice from heaven called loudly. Now it is time for God to save.

It is time for his power and his kingdom to come. It is time for Jesus to be in charge. The one who blames God's people is thrown down.

He blames them day and night. But God's people won over him because of Jesus' blood. and they won by telling the truth about God. And God's people did not love their lives too much.

They did not turn away from God. They followed God even when they knew they could be killed for it. So heavens, you can show your joy.

But earth and sea, you can be sad. And that's because Satan is down with you. He is very angry.

He knows he has only a little time.

The dragon saw that he had been tossed down onto the earth, so he chased the woman who had the baby. This is Satan going after the nation of Israel.

But the woman was given two great eagle wings, and that way she could fly to the desert. A place was ready for her there, and she would be taken care of for a while.

The dragon could not get her there. Then the dragon sent out a river of water and the water flowed out of his mouth. He tried to catch the woman in the wild water, but the earth helped the woman.

The earth opened up and it drank the dragon's water, a river of water. And that made the dragon roar with anger. he left to fight the rest of the woman's children Do you know who the rest of the woman's children are?

They are the ones who follow God's way. They believe in Jesus.

And that is the end of our reading today. So Satan is fighting the rest of us here on earth.

Our battle is not a flesh battle. It is not a physical battle. It is a spiritual battle. We are fighting against Satan himself because he has been thrown down to the earth. He is not able to accuse us anymore.

Amen. We are on the winning side. God's people have won over him. We have won because of Jesus' blood.

We won by telling the truth about God. God's people have not loved their lives too much. We do not turn away from God. We follow God, even if it might mean that we may be killed for it.

There are people in the world who die for their faith.

So the heavens are rejoicing for us that we are on the winning side. Jesus will be king of all the nations. He will rule firmly and strongly.
Praise and Encouragement for Eternal Faith

Amen. Oh, isn't that an exciting reading we have to- today?

I want us to thank God today, who is the Lord God of all power. He is the one who lives now and has always lived. We thank you, God.

When you are ready, you will rule with your great power. When you are ready, it will be time for you to judge the people We ask that you bring good to all your people, small and great, and but get rid of the people who destroy the earth, just as we read in Revelation today.

I hope that you are encouraged. You are fighting the good fight, and we are winning. And I just want us to remember again that our prayers are a sweet-smelling incense to God.

We can win with prayer. We win by using our spiritual gifts. We win against sin every time we choose to do what God wants us to do rather than what we want to do ourselves.

We win because we look at the big picture, that big picture that we have been learning all year long. We have learned how everything comes together.

We see that Jesus will be back and he will rule on the earth. He will judge people. And he will bring good to all of his people, small and great.

And he will get rid of the people who are destroying the earth.

We have such a wonderful Lord and Savior. He is almighty. He is powerful. He is worthy of all of our praise, all of our gratefulness for how wonderful he is.

He is worthy of all of our love. He is worthy for all of our obedience. Amen. Well, I hope that you feel empowered today to be who God created you to be. i hope that you feel that God's word is strengthening you for every good work that he has for you to do, knowing that the work that he has set out to to perfect in you, he will carry to completion.

You will be carried to completion with God's work and you will win over sin. Amen.

And hallelujah, that means praise Yahweh, praise the Lord. Let us praise the Lord today for his ability to win over evil.
Call to Action: Fight the Good Fight

He created everything and he is in charge. And at the right time, he will bring these things to happen.
