Okay, I just wanna quickly talk about safety, and this isn't directed to anybody in the comments. I got some DMs and obviously some comments about that video that we posted yesterday with the boys working in that manhole to clear that sewer.

And I've talked about this before. There is such thing as safety saturation, where it's just too much. You literally limit people's ability to think and understand and navigate the risks if it's nothing but this is the protocol you have to follow.
Understanding and Managing Risks

um You have to. If you're a skilled, trained tradesman, you should understand the risks that are involved in what you're going to do, willing to take them and and and be able to deal with whatever comes down the pipe.

That particular situation, we're obviously in a manhole, we cracked it, we let it breathe, you got a buddy there, there's a ladder there. i mean, lots of people are like, oh you know, you should have an oxygen tank.

Inherent Risks in Blue-Collar Jobs

um That's not like you're falling into a pit of open water. um Anyway, like I say, there are there are inherent risks in being blue collar.

There are inherent risks in doing the jobs that we do, whether that's working on on rooftops or in confined spaces. It's important that you understand the risks that you're taking and know when the risks are reasonable. Yeah.

Criticism of Excessive Safety Measures

um We've all seen the guy walking the ah trimming the ditch with a hard hat on. And I just roll my eyes and say, man, what are we doing?

Right. and And one of OSHA's or um whatever we call it up here, OHS, OH&S, um

they they want to take away ladders because there's just they're too dangerous.
Balancing Safety and Practicality

I'm like, they're only dangerous for people that don't understand what they're doing. So we understand what we're doing. We understand the risks.

We're willing to take those risks in order to get the job done, which is part of the reason why we get paid the way we get paid. That was a job that nobody else could fix. Nobody else was willing to fix.

Anyway, my thoughts, not yours. Be safe out there, but don't be stupid about it. Safety saturation is real.
