Speaker: Aloha and welcome back to another episode of the Ohana Packers Edition podcast. The losing streak is over. The Packers are finally back in the win column.
Speaker: And Joe, it took the ugliest, stupidest pass to get there, but a win is a win is a win. is a win is a win And we can all exhale now. all exhale Yeah, I mean, it was uglier than ugly. i talked about it a little bit on the post-game.
Speaker: Just to mention it, i do post-game lives after every Sunday game. So this Thursday when they play the Falcons, I will not be doing a live. But the following week when they play on a Sunday, I will be doing a live after that. So Sundays during the season, I will be doing a live.
Speaker: Anyway, with that out of the way, it was uglier than ugly. and It should have never been like that. I understand that the ah the conditions were horrid, but it should have never been like that. It was like...
Speaker: It was like they've never been coached. And this is not a usual look for a Packers team. I don't even care. Going back years with LeFleur, I've never seen a game like this.
Speaker: We've seen bad games. We've seen losses. We've seen stuff like that. But this is not a normal ah a game and I don't even know what to call it.
Speaker: I just, I do want to throw this out there that my God, the comments that I got or we got on Facebook after I posted the clip of us ripping the refs last week.
Speaker: I want to go on the record and say One thing. Well, I'm going to say more than one thing. But this week, they may have been penalized a ton, and there may have been some crappy calls, but it was equal on both sides. And that's what makes last week's games and this week's game completely different.
Speaker: So if you're going to sit there and call, and mainly it was like Lions and Bears and Vikings fans, oh, just Packers crying, Packers crying. You know, if it was the other way, and then I kept getting pictures of...
Speaker: ah the two non-called face masks and all that stuff. But what you guys are failing to see, there were 12 penalties for almost 200 yards last week versus three penalties for 15 yards last week.
Speaker: There were 13 penalties against the Packers today and 12 against the Jets. So there's a big difference in the two. i can be okay with today's game.
Speaker: but I can't be okay with last week's game. There's my little one! Uncle But for the audio-only people, that was Mike's daughter.
Speaker: um But um I just... I don't get... Well, I get it. People are pissy about it, but...
Speaker: You know, it's it it's completely different different than... um They're two completely different games. This week, you cannot claim bias at all.
Speaker: Last week, there was definitely a claim for bias. And I don't care what kind of fan you are, there was a claim for bias. I want to make sure I got my numbers right on this real quick.
Speaker: Penalties, ah Packers had 12 for 98.
Speaker: And they had three for 15 last week against the Vikings.
Speaker: Um, this week it was 14, 133 for the Packers and 13, 156 for the Jets. Okay. So it's 14, 13, but yeah, anyway, it just, it, it's a completely different situation. So for all those people that were leaving those frigging comments, bite me.
Speaker: um But anyway, it was a complete shit show. i there But there were good points to it, too. There were some good things that came out of it, but there were some very bad things that came out of it, too. so um what what was What was your take of it all while get everything pulled up here?
Speaker: I'm just going to take the win. Especially in a week where the Lions lost. And the Bears lost and might have lost more. You know, it sounds like Caleb didn't suffer anything super debilitating. But eating but for a but guy who plays the position like him, like a hamstring might be bad. bad So you never know. Especially if it's the back leg, because that's your kind of your push-off leg. I think it was his left leg.
Speaker: So that would be front leg. Well, that's your drive leg. So, yeah, when when you put the drive, yeah, that it's a little bit, I don't know.
Speaker: But is there anything else you want to go into or you want to just go ahead and jump into our stuff? We can just jump into our stuff. don't want to take the talking Mike was causing trouble with, and it caused trouble with my computer and my computer rebelled, so I'm cranky. From 5,000 miles away, i fucked up and we're recording an hour later than we thought we were.
Speaker: So, alright, I hit the first button. fresh cheese. Alright, I'm gonna lay the table out there for you. there's There's some low-hanging fruits for you that I know you're gonna wanna pound your chest. bolt Honestly, both of us should pound our chest over, but I'm gonna give you the runway for it. runway Well, there's two of them, but I'm going to take the first one. And I mentioned it during our live was Lucas Van Ness.
Speaker: I think he finally shut everybody up with his performance this week. Last week should have been the start of it. This week should have been the the clincher for it. ah You know, he basically was the leader of the defense, 10 total tackles, seven solo, one and a half sacks, three tackles for a loss, four QB hits.
Speaker: Now refresh my memory. It was the final regular or final, um,
Speaker: what's what's the word for regular game time drive that he killed with the stop right and yeah it was the fourth and one for some reason it was not sticking in my mind that way it was for some reason i was thinking it was in overtime but it wasn't but the fourth and one he got in there he knifed in there he stopped him from converting on the fourth and one i was getting massive pressures
Speaker: Solid in the run game, solid in the the pass rush. There's not much more you can ask for him. And this is a guy that we were even talking about. He ended up in concussion protocol not too long ago. So again, I kind of throw back, I'm not going to say he didn't have anything, but I wonder if it was more like he showed up to the facility, he said, man, I have this massive migraine.
Speaker: And they were like, okay, we're going to put you through the protocol. protocol we're We're not even going to mess with it. And, you know, i it's my dude. Again, you know, I had my trepidation when the Packers took him, but I'm never going to naysay a Hawkeye until they give me a reason to naysay him.
Speaker: And he has yet to do it for me. But, again, I really hope... This shuts a lot of people up. And let's look at it this way. We've got, what, maybe two to three more weeks before Micah is on the field. If we can get both those guys running, man, this going to be a hell of a defense. what What's that put him at? He had one and a half this week. He had one last week, so he's at two and a half sacks already.
Speaker: Yep. So you're you're muted on that one, but he did nod yes for the people that didn't. Yeah. Okay. um so that just...
Speaker: yeah He's already almost to his total last year. So, you know, stay healthy, keep driving, you know, and this is what we talk about when you have to give draft picks time.
Speaker: You know, the first year is they're learning and to be in the NFL. The second year is installing the the full defense into them. And the third year is where they really step in. Well, he was starting to step in last year until he got that debilitating foot injury. And now you can just say he's there.
Speaker: And a lot of people pointed to last year being a disappointment. disappointment But he was really productive productive. And it was just that Micah and Rashawn were getting all the stats last season. They got all the counting stats.
Speaker: But he was w wrecking a lot of habit, both from the edge and from the interior. And to say that he was having a bad season last season season is just reading the paper trail. You know, reading the cliff loads cliff notes only without context.
Speaker: Right. so You can't even call last year a bad year knowing that he missed the majority of the year. Yup. And was never really healthy after the foot. so so Yup. But yeah.
Speaker: Yeah. So that's my dude. he He probably gets... Him and one other guy could probably get MVP of the game. And I want to see if the next one is the one that you're... you Is going to be the other one that I think could be the MVP of the game.
Speaker: So it probably isn't, but got to chop it up for the rookie. rookie Hit two pressure kicks. kicks Okay, why no, it's not. One because his head coach was a chicken. chicken But good job tying the game.
Speaker: Making sure that we didn't totally blow that nice punt return by, I'm sure, who Joe is going to say is the other one. No. i'm just I'm kidding. I'm teasing. teasing No.
Speaker: And then... and I know it wasn't the hardest overtime kick, for time kick but you still got to go and make it. Yeah. this This is the one that... This game is one of the ones that we were more looking towards with him because it was an Elements game.
Speaker: I mean, it wasn't like a driving rain where they had to postpone the game like like Tampa Bay and did, but it was still enough that it was causing enough havoc. so Yeah, Trey Smack.
Speaker: The other one I was thinking about was Javon Bullard. Outside of the one dumb penalty, that boy was flying around everywhere. And he was making plays, he was making tackles.
Speaker: i understand what they were doing with his penalty. But that's a real ticky tacky penalty on him because it wasn't like he was standing over the guy flexing. He wasn't doing any of that. He did draw a little bit longer.
Speaker: i think our favorite Packer dad, I use that term very loosely, tried to say that they were both at Georgia at the same time. I don't think Adonai Mitchell was at Georgia, was he?
Speaker: He was. oh He was on the title team. Yeah. He was on at least the second title team, but I think the team both. Well, I know he was at Texas because didn't he come out of Texas?
Speaker: But he was at Georgia before Texas. Okay. So, okay. I apologize. I was wrong on that, but I know he came from Texas, but whatever, you know, it is what it is, but you could see the smile on Javon's face when it was happening. He wasn't doing anything in malice. It was just two guys, John, back and forth with each other.
Speaker: Outside of that was making tackles, had past breakups. Um, It's a seven total tackles, five... um Sorry, my light is giving me a glare right at the bad spot. Five solos, two tackles for a loss, two pass defends.
Speaker: I have never been happier with those two guys than ah anybody else. I mean... I know people are going to poo-poo on Javon because of the penalty, but he really made up for it. He was just flying like a missile everywhere. So between him and Lucas, I think they really put forward the best.
Speaker: I mean, you could probably throw Evan in there, which you can talk about if you want, but Bullard and Van Ness really had breakout games today.
Speaker: And honestly... okay There must be a little bit of a delay because I see your lips moving and then I hear you talking. But, yeah, I think that Bullard had a really good game. And in between there, there was, you know, he had the near interception. You know, some people are like, that was a dropkick. Like, yeah, sure, any interception you don't get is a drop of some sort. But I don't think he thought it was going come at his face like that.
Speaker: Did you see? i don't remember which one of them said it But supposedly right after that, he took his gloves off and threw them ah to the Yeah, I saw that afterward. I didn't notice that during the game.
Speaker: It is funny because Bullard is a guy who plays without gloves a lot of the time. So I'm kind of surprised he even had him in the first place today. Probably thought it was going to give him a better chance with it with the rain.
Speaker: um Otherwise, um anyone else really stand out to you? now Well, you didn't give me another one. Did you have another one? Oh, I'm going to go with Golden. Just, you know, he had another drop on the first drive, but, you know, you saw the the the game breaking stuff where he's just taking some short passes and turning it into, you know, 18 yard gains and stuff like that.
Speaker: Was on the same page with Jordan on the game winning drive where he knows to look for the hot read, you know, the alert read. there to catch the little the little top pass from Jordan and turn it into a 12 yard game And then even from last week, you saw him make an adjustment where he catches that quick pass and just turns up and gets eight to convert a first down and does shadow the goalpost. just all the little things you want to see from Golden where he's building off of last year. And then we don't know what's up with Reid. He probably isn't going to play this week. I'd be really shocked if a guy who spends a night in the visiting city... city
Speaker: is able to be cleared to play that Thursday. thursday and so Golden and Watson to that extent are going to have to go to have um ramp up their level of play at least for a week, maybe longer.
Speaker: Yeah, I guess I forgot about Golden just because of how pitiful the offense was. But, yeah, he he played really well. um He even had two veteran moves of getting ah defensive pass interference.
Speaker: of Should have drawn a third. Yeah, well, yeah. Should have had the touchdown, but, yeah, you know, it's all right. Yeah. So yeah, I mean, Matthew Golden is there.
Speaker: I'm surprised you didn't stay with the defense and throw Evan Williams out there. evan Evan almost slides into that stale mode because there were some moments with him where it was like, eh.
Speaker: But then you go back and look at it. The one play he made might have saved the game. Yeah. and Well, he had two pass defenses today credited to him, and then he had one QB hit. So, ah you know, and a tackle for loss. But of you got to give him a little bit. But like I said, he could slide into that still a little bit. But um there was one other one that...
Speaker: I was, oh, I know who I'm going to throw out there, and that's because this guy's not going to get a lot of love because of the position he plays. Daniel Whelan, the Celtic Cannon. That boy was punting like nobody else.
Speaker: of Six punts, 324 yards, 54 average, one touchback, three inside the 20, with a long of 66. The one that I pointed to during my live stream was the one where he was punting out of his own end zone.
Speaker: And I still do not know how that was not blocked. That boy was you Houdini out there. And he still got it out. And it still flipped the field.
Speaker: He still flipped the field with that punt. So I got to give him something because punters don't get recognized as often as they should. And with this shit-tastic game, he probably would have been the MVP if they didn't come away with the win during overtime.
Speaker: All right, and then there's one more. I'm going to say it. I know Joe's not going to, but Lance Moore earned his contract this week. this Lance? i'm I'm a little terrified that they're going to give him a bunch of the Jaden Reed snaps, and I'm not ready for that.
Speaker: but think brain's still living in the the early 2000s because she called him Lance Moore. Skymore. They're built the same tomb.
Speaker: But, um, thanks.
Speaker: But, like, and I was seeing it as he was returning that punch. When she crossed the New York 30, I was like, he needs to house this. He needs to house this. Because the exact thing I was worried about, which we'll go into in the moldy, happened.
Speaker: But big game, and they needed every single yard he gave them. So gold star for more this week. for this week ah Yeah, I mean, I can't.
Speaker: Here's my thing. I can't give him props, and it's not because of what I've been saying all offseason. It's not. But is it because he had a good return, or is it because his special teams were opening the lanes for him?
Speaker: Because the reason it's absolutely both. Yeah. Now, give me a minute to say why I mean that. So the people can be like, they they can fully yell at me.
Speaker: But last week we saw Bo Melton rip off a 68 yard kick re return.
Speaker: So. Is it because he's that good of a rusher or a runner, returner? Or is it because maybe our special teams is actually getting pretty good and they're opening lanes for these guys? So yes, Moore had a good game, more power to him, but...
Speaker: Would we still have that success if we had like a Will Shepard back there or a Bill Melton back there or, you know, somebody else back there? I don't know.
Speaker: I don't know. It's still too early to tell on things. I just know this is going to be one of those things that people are going to go back and see, this is what we were talking about with Sky Moore. This is why we needed Sky Moore.
Speaker: Fine. Whatever. If he continues this... i will I'm more than happy to eat Kro off of it. the one that i You're right, it's a little bit of both. The blocking is definitely better, the schemes are better.
Speaker: But the one the the last two returns, the long return and then the one in overtime, he did create some space that shouldn't have been there. and and Like, he does deserve a little bit of that. and And even just being able to read when to return, because how many times with, like, Jaden was it like, why are you calling fair catch? There's no one within the zip code of the stadium. And but like you said, how much of that is coaching too? Yeah, exactly. So we do need more data. We need more data. more data But...
Speaker: Because of what our segments are, this is a one week. Nice job, Sky. Lance. Well, and that's why I said i'm I'm not going to take it away from him, but I got to have more data with it because, again, we saw Bo Melton do the same thing on a kick return in week one.
Speaker: You know, it let's see. if If he continues this, the rest you know, let's say he houses one on Thursday night against the Falcons. Okay, I'll eat crow off of it, but, and you and this is what's funny.
Speaker: In our group chat, one of them asked who's going to be playing slot in replace of Jaden Reed. Well, you know, all offseason, all I kept hearing was, well, that's what Sky Moore's for. That's what Sky Moore's for.
Speaker: So let's see how long people want him on the roster when, you know, he's not making the plays like Jaden Reed would. And I agree. and And I do want to stop us there and say, you know, from all reports, Jaden Reed's doing much better. They're just keeping him in the hospital for observations.
Speaker: ah He came out and posted on socials that he feels a lot better. ah Matt LaFleur said in his presser that Jaden was reportedly having full...
Speaker: uh feeling in all his extremities so you know i said this during our lot during my live uh you know if you're a praying person or if you just want to send good thoughts to him you know we hope it's nothing major and he comes back stronger um i don't know about you with that hit but it was a weird hit because it didn't really look like he took any major contact to the head neck area he He took contact, but it wasn't like a helmet to helmet or a knee to helmet or... he just kind of crumpled.
Speaker: And it was kind of weird. It's spooky that way. Yeah, like it it is like he just got disconnected it kind of thing. So yeah yeah, and that's where, you know, we don't want to draw any you know any conclusions either way, but it didn't look good. Like, like because...

Speaker: hit to it so it makes me wonder what was going and i ah i don't want people to take this as a conspiracy that they did it on purpose and he got hurt for some reason no it just i i didn't see where the contact hit that caused him the issue so hopefully it's nothing major hopefully it's just a stinger and and he uh gets back soon um Mike's kids must be going nuts over there, so... Speaker: I think I'm going to throw Jordan in this, and I don't think it's fully his fault, but it still was not a good game. 16 for 29, 14, 14, 14, 14 sixteen for twenty nine hundred and forty five yards five for average two touchdowns I understand that he's just going by the game plan and he's got to go with that and the course conditions and and there were considerable amount of drops and all that good stuff, but...
Speaker: I don't know. He just... He didn't look comfortable back there. he didn't look like he... And for some reason, they were running a lot of behind-the-line screens and quick hitters. And ah you mentioned the one drop for Golden. I put that a little bit more on Jordan than I do Golden because it was like he put... he threw a 100 mile an hour fastball at Matthew Golden's head. it was like, here, catch it. When he probably could have put a little bit of touch on it and and caught Golden and in
Speaker: ah in motion and would have had a better shot at a bigger play. But I don't know. ah Did you get your glass jar cleaned up? so Good enough until I step on one. but oh Yeah, I agree with you. um Like you said, you can't blame, totally blame Jordan for it, but this is why you get paid the big bucks is to, you know, right or wrong, you have to bail the ship out when the rest of it is taking on water. That's why you're the quarterback. That's why you're the face of the franchise.
Speaker: and And like you said, I get that, you know, he's still feeling it from last week and stuff, but you can't show it from the first snap. He looked jumpy and like, it doesn't help that the first series goes the way it goes where it's like first play, it's like, oh shit, they're jumping our screens.
Speaker: Second play, Jaden gets carted off the field. And then third play, i think he gunned it because he was like, I don't want Golden to get smoked on the interior kind of thing.
Speaker: And he was was just off. Like, it was a C plus b minus game from Jordan all day. Like, everything outside the numbers, he was just a touch off on the throws. He looked a lot better throwing over the middle of the field. And it took and it Matt a little too long to figure that out. And it almost cost them. But, um you know, he made enough plays to win the game. um But like you like we've alluded to earlier in this episode, that game was made more difficult than it needed to be. And like you said earlier in this segment, we understand why, but also Jordan, fair or unfair, you have to elevate above that.
Speaker: Because until further notice, this O-line is going to be some kind of issue one way or another, and you're going to have to adapt and evolve and overcome. overcome And that's just the nature of the position the position. Yeah, and like I said, the game plan didn't help him any because you could tell what LeFleur was wanting to do.
Speaker: And that was quick hitters because he he wasn't sure what this offensive line was going to do. But, yeah, once those weren't going through, then they needed to stray away from it a little bit. And it was pretty sad that there for the longest time, the longest pass was the four yards that Jaden Reed got after, and he got carted off for after it. So, yeah, ah I'd have to put Jordan in the stale for this week.
Speaker: Yep. Um... China, sorry. This is just one of those weeks where I'm kind of like, is that stale or is that multi? Um... I got another one if you don't, if you want me to go ahead and jump on go far it before... Yeah, you go for it.
Speaker: Okay, so I don't know who's to blame for it. And I'm going to put it on a little bit of the elements for it. Five fumbles.
Speaker: Five fumbles. Now, and what was really weird about it is it didn't look like they weren't, they were being loosey-goosey with the ball either. Only Jordan's fumble was a bad one. Like, only his one where he got stripped in the pocket.
Speaker: But... So I don't know what, maybe, maybe the equipment managers are a little bit down and, and, you know, they didn't have the right equipment, you know, like gloves or pads or what, you know, cause I don't know if you remember years ago when it was a Mon green and he started having those fumble problems in the middle of a game. So they ripped off the one, ah elbow pad that he was using and gave him a different one. And the fumbling stopped, you know, is it something as simple as the gloves weren't doing as well as they needed to be doing?
Speaker: or what, but I mean, and they were weird ones like Tucker lost or didn't lose, but he fumbled the ball. ah Caleb Johnson fumbled the ball, and I don't think he fumbled hardly anything when he was at Iowa. minute Even Marshawn were just, they got blown, they got up on the football. And like,
Speaker: Like you said, i don't think either of them did anything wrong. Like, you know, Caleb, you can be lower when you're going into the, like you know, when you're approaching the line of scrimmage. maybe have it tucked a little bit better, but he still had good grip on it. Yeah, he had three, point you know, from a coaching point of view, he had three points of contact.
Speaker: ah Like, maybe because you're still in the backfield, he should have had two hands on the ball. Marshawn's one was just like was just like... Unfortunately, the guy hit him with his shoulder right on the ball. And, like, you know, some people are like, you should secure... But I'm like, he's broken the line of scrimmage, and he's in that transition point where it's like where it's like... He, if he can, wants to start getting into sort of a sprinter's form to break away kind of thing. And it's like... and it's like Damned if you do, damned if you don't, because it's like, oh, if he just burrows into the turf for three yards, it's like, oh, he's not trying, you know, his vision's bad, or he's not, you know, he's he's not doing it creating any good offense.
Speaker: But then if he does what he does and he fumbles, it's like, well, shit, he fumbled. And it's like, it's well, yeah. Like I said, the only one that was like bad, bad was Jordan's one. Because it's kind of like what were talking about in the previous segment where, you know, he was feeling the pressure when there wasn't pressure at times.
Speaker: Got a little willy-nilly with the football. And, um... Luckily, you know like i joked on Twitter, Donovan Jennings made his best play as a Packer by getting on top of that football and gaining a yard, actually.
Speaker: But yeah, like... yeah like I'd like to say it's the elements more than anything else, but you know we'll have to see. um It's something they're going to have to earmark and try to do better on as they go forward.
Speaker: But yeah, I am not going to inflate this one too much too much because I do just think it was a matter of those guys get paid to make plays too kind of thing more than it was like a, oh shit, we have big problems kind of thing. Right.
Speaker: And that's the reason it's in stale, because I don't know what else could have happened. And I don't know. You can't blame any one person or one thing on it.
Speaker: I mean, you could say the rain, but, you know, that's what they get paid the big bucks for. And they don't you know, we've never seen this bad of a fumbling problem before. So it just I don't know. But I just got to put it in stale because, again, we haven't seen five fumbles by the Green Bay Packers.
Speaker: i I don't know, in a long time, I guess. so Yeah, and and not like botched snaps, because botched snaps go as fumbles, all that kind of stuff too. so yeah yeah It's just, um like you said, you know it's kind of like the punt returning for you where it's like i and where it's like, I don't want to see more, but if I see more, then it's something that we're like, they have to fix that. But today, like I said, like they were all plays except for Jordan's one where you're like, you're like Okay, if you go any further, you're being like so overly cautious that you're going to hamper your ability to make big plays and stuff. So, like you said, um I don't want to read too much into any of them any of outside of Jordan's one. Did you did you find figure out one?
Speaker: I think it's going to be moldy. vilet Yeah. Okay, I think you could probably throw Christian Watson into the ah stale little bit. Oh, that would have been a good one. Just a little bit off today, and like...
Speaker: And I think this is where it's really important that Golden is coming along. Because these are the kind of games where it's like, OK, I know Watson had the big game last week and all that kind of stuff. But in the ones where he's just not separating quite as well from the coverage he's seeing, or he's not catching the ball as consistently when he's given the opportunity, it's like, OK, this is where you've got to have somewhere else to go with it. I'm surprised it wasn't a better Tucker week.
Speaker: But that's why you have more than one guy. Yeah, we didn't see Tucker or Johnnie. um You know, that was one thing that when I was on Steve's show ah Saturday that we were kind of talking about that he was kind of worried about Tucker and even Johnnie. He had Johnnie as one of his...
Speaker: um sleeper picks for the Packers. You didn't see, I mean, Tucker had two catches on three targets. Janu had nothing. You saw Janu out there a couple plays. Yeah, but they just really went away from the 12 and 13 personal packages because the times that they had, like, had like Tucker and Redman on the field, of minimum one of them was in the backfield as a fullback kind of thing. yeah So, yeah.
Speaker: Yeah, so I don't know. it's It's really weird going on with Tucker right now. And it doesn't look like he's bad. I mean, he's moving well. I think this one was just a game circumstance kind of thing where it just couldn't get into rhythm. the rhythm And then Watson's other one. These feel more like isolated incidents, but you know yeah I saw a few people pointing it out where it's like, you know Christian just couldn't block today. And even yeah um even his brother Trey was like, nine, figure it out kind of thing. He had a couple of those dreams. Well, even Tazoom said something.

Speaker: So I wonder if that also played into a little bit of, oh shit, let's go for the tie and hope Monk makes it back to play and it's nothing serious for him.

Speaker: Hoping Aaron Banks comes back 100%. Hoping Anthony Belton figures his shit out. Hoping Jordan Morgan is going to be able to slot right back into the left tackle position. Hoping last year wasn't just a ah fluke for Sean Ryan at center.
Speaker: That's a lot of hope. And then to only fill this... fill in one depth piece by drafting Jagger Burton. This isn't a knock on Jagger Burton, but you can't let that be the only thing you do.

I saw when she tweeted that. It's so true. And like, true and like it like seems like we always get him when we play one of his former teams.
Speaker: Because he was the one calling Jordan's first start Lambeau when um we played the Saints. And then he called this game and it's like... him and it's like Just so, and then like, even even when he was trying to compliment Green Bay late in the game, he was saying shit that didn't make sense at all. He's like, oh, like talking about how like, oh, there's been a few penalties, but overall they played a disciplined game. It's like, hu say that and at this juncture of the game kind of thing like it's just it's so like it's almost like ai is feeding him like you need to say something about the packer so people don't say you're being biased and the thing he says makes absolutely no sense at all and yeah like yeah like and and i think someone else pointed out when um

And think people, because i don't I wasn't sure if this was like a Sunday ticket thing only or not, but you're not we heard, i there was so everyone heard the Vikings Bears part, but the beginning of that drive that ended with us getting cut-ins of the Viking Bears game, um of Carson Wentz going incomplete or whatever it was whatever it was, we caught at least two other games because we definitely caught something from the Eagles-Titans game. And then there was another one that was not the Bears game or the Eagles-Titans game. And it was like some some intern was sitting there going, oh, jeez, I hit the button. Oh, no, which one is it this kind of thing? It could have been Pittsburgh because I swore somebody said something about Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker: And I was like, wait, what? Yeah, maybe. And I was kind of like, and I did it in my head. I couldn't tell if they were talking about, about like, just talking about that game because that was when Rodgers got smoked in a highlight kind of thing. Or um if...
Speaker: If it was, because I don't know where the the you know Pittsburgh was playing New England, and I don't know if that was one of those Fox crossover game kind of things or whatever. So yeah, I'm not sure who had what and stuff. But it was just one of those where I was like, maybe it's just me and my Sunday. And then it was when I saw other people tweet about it, I was like nope, it was a nationwide issue.
Speaker: yeah and i don't even use sunday ticket and i was getting it i was going off of of green bay's i own fox station and we were we were getting that shit and it's like okay i mean it gave us a reprive from vilma but it just i i didn't like it um so in 2026 we should not be having those problems so yeah that's another moldy um This one I'm going to throw in, kind of lump in a little bit with the offensive line
Speaker: um play. But
Speaker: the I'm going to throw some of the Packer fans in there too when it comes to the run game because they were shitting all over the running backs and, oh, well, this team can't run to save their life and this one can't do this.
Speaker: But like I pointed out, You can't run the ball or see an open lane if you're constantly getting hit in the backfield.
Speaker: And that's what a lot of the times was happening. I mean, Caleb Johnson, eight yard or eight carries, 32 yards with a long of 12, the average four. But you you can't
Speaker: you can't be a proper running back in a game if you're continuously getting hit in the backfield. So it's either offensive line or you're not scheming properly.
Speaker: So I'm gonna throw that out there.
Speaker: Yeah, and this was one of those where like for 50 whatever minutes of this game, we were all in a, we're going to a pretty dark place with how this team was looking and you know, everything's not fixed.
Speaker: like 70% of this game goes in the moldy just because it was such a crap performance to put on the field, especially given, like I said, you know, just the the absolute um importance of what this game stood for and all that kind of stuff.
Speaker: And it was just disappointing to see them not execute. Like you said, you know, weather contributed, all that kind of stuff, but they just... they just There was just so much of this game that was just so absolutely sloppy. yeah And it was just really disappointing to see after, you know, and like I said, that fed into like the LaFleur stuff where it's like, oh, great, your team is not responding to the moment well. Your team is just continuing to let you snowball things snowball and stuff. And I get it. You know, you lose two key players on back-to-back plays to open the game up and all that kind of stuff. but
Speaker: It just didn't look like you were ready to play and it really burned you early on. And like against a better opponent, you can't come out that way and they're gonna, you know, it helps that you have this little bit of runway. You you won this game against the Jets. the jets You know, the Falcons are... Of course the Packers are going to make the Falcons look competent on Thursday because we are that team, and Thursday night football is incredibly stupid. But for the sake of our blood pressure, hope they get out to a good win, protect jordan and Jordan, and we'll go into this in Wednesday's episode and all that kind of stuff. But yeah, it's time to it's time to get some momentum flowing.
Speaker: I've got one more if you don't have any others, and I do want to bring this up before I completely forget it. Keyshawn Nixon.
Speaker: um You know, for all the people, he's him and this is a completely new Nixon. No, we we saw it again today. i was, I have to say, I was pretty heads on with that one. That last week was basically like last year's Washington game. He overproduced for what he is and then he came back to earth this week.
Speaker: um you got to give credit i mean you could throw sise in as a as a fresh cheese just because of the way he played but he did get he did get i i have a hard time telling saying that this play was a bad play on his end But there in the end zone where on one of their touchdowns, he was like inches away from getting a pass breakup or an interception. So I can't blame him that. It's one that said just has sell out and die for that. Right. And I said the same thing at the time. The came out of it. It looked like it came out of Gino's hand weird. And I think he thought it was going to float more.
Speaker: but it didn't knuckleball. It kind of just like went by it. And the replay made it look even weirder because you can see it go. It's like by the time he sticks his hands out, it's between his hands and by him already. And it's like you just needed to dive earlier and stuff and like make sure you at least break it up kind of thing. But to be fair, I wouldn't want to dive on that field either. No. But to say all that without the play from Cissé or plays from Cissé, without Javon Bullard stepping up, without Evan Williams doing what he did. This could have been a completely different game because Keyshawn Nixon is not that person on defense.
Speaker: Yep. and I mean, Evan Williams' spectacular pass breakup is because, again, Nixon lost his guy in coverage. And he doesn't have the speed to make it up. Nope. Nope.
Speaker: So, yeah, that's my last moldy. And, again, if people don't like me bashing Keyshawn Nixon, suck it. He should play better. but All right. We've been going at it for a while. It's been an hour, and it's been an hour before that. It wouldn't have been that long if Mike wouldn't have screwed up my frigging computer.
