Speaker: Aloha and welcome back to another episode of the Ohana Packers Edition podcast. A podcast where we are celebrating the Packers are second in the NFC North and the Bears do instill indeed still suck.
Speaker: So excited I can't even say the line properly. I'm wearing a jersey, Joe's wearing a collared shirt on a weekend. No, it's my... It's my... Golf shirt, golf shirt, I know. No, no, it's...
Speaker: It's a player thing ah i got when I was up there a couple years ago where it's like a pullover with a hoodie.
Speaker: Oh yeah, I like those ones.
Speaker: Yeah. it Unfortunately, they haven't been doing the player-worn stuff the last couple of years, but... Yeah, yeah but I noticed that too, that it's... it's theyve That line has just totally disappeared, but we're not here for fashion sense. We're here to talk about the actors. it's a it's a glorious day. um You know, just off the bat, um they left no doubt. um You know, I'm sure that there's going to be some Salty Bears fans who are going to say, oh, it's a second team.
Speaker: Okay, Caleb didn't play. Your defense was still probably going to give up 31. And if the game wasn't in the ball was in the balance, I do think Green Bay could have put up 40 on you guys today because it was just that kind of.
Speaker: day and stuff from the um it was just that kind of day from the Packers offense against the Bears defense and overall just a lot of good things to say about um this team win and you know you can have the caveat about no Caleb this and that but a lot of the other stuff on this Bears team is going to be how it's going to be the rest of this season for them so um just in terms of how the team's matched up and all that kind of stuff you have to be really pleased with how the game turned out for the Packers it if you really want a good comeback for oh well we didn't have caleb or manungai remember the packers didn't have parsons didn't have edron cooper didn't have zach bakubawale didn't have jayden reed didn't have josh jacobs so yeah you know there there's whole bunch of them there that you can say all you want but it was a it was a big win
Speaker: And yeah, it was a beatdown. So I don't have too much more. I don't want to lose our talking points or anything. But um you want to just go into the segments or you got anything else off the top?
Speaker: No, ah you know other than they came out relatively healthy. ah you know no I'm not thinking the Sky Moore one is too major. It was an ankle, but you know they did just put Chris Brooks on IR because of an ankle injury, so I don't know what to see there. The big one is going to be Hargrave. I know they did oh cart him off, but did go... He's not looking good off initial reports.
Speaker: Okay, I haven't seen initial reports, but yeah, I don't know. But we can jump into it. Mmm, cheese.
Speaker: There's a lot of them. Where are we going to go with it?
Speaker: I'll take Jordan Love. You know, he has statistically owned the Bears. Like, he really has. um His, like, one or two interceptions are just funky overthrows against them that have...
Speaker: um been unfortunate but not been game killers or anything like that and then he just like we we talked we talked about it every packers thing page podcast show media writer has talked about it we're not even asking for elite offensive line play we need league average offensive line play And Jordan is going to do amazing things.
Speaker: And I think they're getting a little bit better than league average, but they just, he just absolutely torched this, um this Bears secondary. And it wasn't, you know, we'll get into it. I know in our group chat, I made was making jokes about Muhammad, the cornerback for the Bears, who was kind of like being Mr. Salty Pants about, oh, you passed on me.
Speaker: And it's like, bro, you're a fourth round pick. Your own team passed on you three times if you want to talk that talk And when he had to come in the game, the Packers absolutely abused him in coverage.
Speaker: Jalen Johnson had one nice pass breakup, but it came when he had um two sidelines to assist him in that regard. Otherwise, he was absolute toast on the back end again.
Speaker: both Christian and Golden got him once apiece, so banner day for the receiving court. But Jordan was just on fire. And, you know, we we talked about the past three weeks where he's had moments where he's let how much he got rocked in the first couple of games. You know, it's a human thing where you get smoked that many times. You're going to show it. But as we said, fair or not fair, Jordan gets paid 50 million a year to play above all the, you know, all everything that's happening around him, he can't react to it. And that's that's the job description when you're at when you want to be an elite quarterback in this league.
Speaker: And today, you know, coming off of last week where, you know, you had some ah literal adults in the room on the O-line, today Zeitler was active but didn't start, I don't believe. But um just the continued play ah of Tom Linston at left guard and Glover at right guard has really steadied out the – has stabilized the situation on the O-line.
Speaker: And against a team that already, you know, Bears fans want to talk and all this stuff. The only thing that, you know, I alluded to it in our over-unders this week, the only thing that worried to me about the Bears was what kind of stupid shit Austin Booker was going to pull. But otherwise, they're paying Montez Sweat, you know, $25 to $30 million dollars a year to give them relatively nothing as a pass or a share. um they traded their second best pass rusher and backfield penetrator in uh gervon dexter because he was quote unquote slow off the ball didn't look s slow off the ball for the falcons two weeks ago um and like they're you know uh olsen alluded to it during the game where the only time it got dicey for green bay is when they got pushed into third and passing down and chicago you know ah dennis allen decided to blitz and that was the only time they really got pressure because you had seven on six, seven on five kind of situations and stuff like that.
Speaker: Otherwise, Jordan had time to dig dirt from under his nails, find his daughter and Ronica in the stands and wave them high five and ah just throw for in exorbitant of amount of yards. And you know it was bad when the comeback for Bears fans, who of all fans should not be talking about quarterback player stats, and who...
Speaker: It's a blowout and he doesn't even have 400 yards passing against the Bears and it's like... The game was over. LaFleur took an actual FU play at the beginning of the fourth quarter and that was really it for the passing game so... Like, Jordan did everything and...
Speaker: Outside of his, um you know, he was 25 for 31. um One of them was the aforementioned nice play by Johnson in the end zone. One was a play where he had he and Watson were going to complete the pass and Watson fell on the route.
Speaker: One was a Lloyd drop. um He had a Melton drop. Yeah, Melt, it was kind of a nice... It was somewhere in between a drop and a decent defensive play.
Speaker: And then you had the one where he like, kind of just... He kind of just gave up play to ah Pierre Strong because it wasn't going to go anywhere anyway. And I honestly couldn't remember the last incompletion save my life right now. so You had two incompletions to Watson.
Speaker: um One to Golden. to Bo Melton. ah One to Pierre Strong, one to Marchand, and one to Sky Moore. Oh, the Watson one is the... I know which one the Watson... The Watson one is where they got away with... You know, like we say all the time, if you're going to call... And we' this one's going in the moldy, but the the penalty they called on Sturnevin, if you're going to call that penalty, then Watson should have had him down at the one-yard line because his arm was hooked. So, yeah. it It was one of those where it was a pretty stellar day at the office for um for for Jordan Love.
Speaker: Yeah, I, the only, and he only took two sacks today and I think they were, like I said, in the live stream, I think they were a little bit more coverage sacks than they were anything terrible. Uh, he did get hit five times, uh, you know, so there were, there was a little bit of breakdown, but I think that came more from the left tackle than it did from anything.
Speaker: Uh, You know, Jordan Love looked very good. And, you know, I've said this before. We've said this before. Everybody said this before.
Speaker: It doesn't matter how good your wide receivers are if you can't get the ball to them. And Jordan Love was able to get the ball to him today. and uh so i'm gonna slide this one in there just to bounce off the jordan love one uh i am gonna give lafleur his props today because that was a hell of a game plan for him oh we kind of talked about it in the preview that the bears corners weren't really great now they had some good they have some good safeties
Speaker: but their corners weren't great so if you can attack the corners then you're going to have success and what didn't the floor go out and do a lot of deep passes that attacked their corners and they had a lot of success today with it so the only two negatives that you could say about matt lefloor's game calls today were that when it was 10-7 going into the second half You know, there was a little bit, I know Greg Olson, ah was kind of sarcastically saying, oh, well, these guys are, are playing chicken on who wants to call the timeout first and who wants to do this and who wants to do that, which is kind of true. You know, neither guy wanted to give the other, the other coach more time to play with, but he did seem to kind of turtle going in, uh,
Speaker: into that two minute drill. So we the PTSD was kind of ah sinking in there for a minute because I go, great, he's turtled already. And but that he came out great at the beginning. and And then there at the end, those were, you know, when he just constantly was running, those were the only two times where it looked like he took his foot off the off the gas.
Speaker: And, you know, there towards the end, even Olsen and Kenny Albert were saying you on the bear for the Bears side of things, you know, this is already a blowout. Why are you still playing a lot of your guys in there?
Speaker: why are you know Why are you taking timeouts? Why are you getting dead plays? Why don't you just let the clock run out? and You know, i I get the slow play on that because LaFleur is just going to run the ball and try to get the clock run out so the game can be over. So those were the only really two times that you could see that he he kind of took his foot off the gas. But overall, the you know, the game plan was there. i do have a bitch about it, and I'll probably put this in stale just to bounce off of it.
Speaker: But overall, yeah, I got to give LaFleur props this week. Oh, yeah. Like, yeah you're absolutely right. It deserves to be mentioned that, you know, we all... I thought it was from when they were up 14-zip and he called that... They had that series where they just went... Like, it felt like he was turtling in the middle of the second quarter and then the Bears go on that long touchdown drive and it's kind of like, oh, here we go. Like, it's the same thing all over again and stuff and...
Speaker: It is sort of that, like, does he call it different in Caleb's in the game and blah, blah, blah, and all that kind of stuff. And it's like, it's one of those where I'm like, I don't like having that mindset because it's like, why don't you just start the blowout as early as you can and then you can do the stuff at the end kind of thing.
Speaker: So I agree with you. there That was the first one. I kind of dovetailed the end of half- decision making in as well because it was just so weird for LaFleur who has actually been relatively aggressive on that kind of stuff where even I was tweeting before the Bears scored the touchdown i was like I don't know why you didn't score a touchdown when they're inside the five or why you didn't call a timeout when they're inside your five because you know that Johnson's going for it so you might as well save time on the clock regardless of whether you're starting inside your four yard line or you know that kind of thing but
Speaker: Like, all the stuff that we, like you said, all the stuff we gripe, bitch, and moan about with LaFleur, the fact that, you know, he opened the second half with that, what is basically a shot play to Watson up the seam, and then on third and a country mile, you know, third and Milwaukee, he's like, no, we're not going to call a give up screen.
Speaker: And he said, we're going, we're going deep. And we're letting Jordan have the opportunity to huck it. And i tweeted this during the game. though this That was one of those plays where you... Like I said, you like that Jordan kind of meshes between the two parts of Favre's style of play and Roger's style of play. And, you know, he gets a lot of grief for like, oh, interception. I'm like, it's because he has that one interception a year that just breaks...
Speaker: breaks the 17th wall of of of sensical football but and otherwise he takes care of the football but like i can't say that's a throw that that rogers would have made because he's just totally trusting watson to go up and make that play it definitely obviously helped that joe or not joe um that dylan thenaman had a rookie moment and decided You were going to call him Joe Theismann, weren't you? i know. yeah he He played that ball like Joe Theismann would have. It definitely absolutely helped that Thiedemann went to look to run up the tunnel instead of find the ball in the air. But Watson makes a hell of a catch on a... I grade that throw a B-. minus And Glove is drifting to his left and up in the pocket, so I'm not saying that he like had his feet set and totally biffed the throw.
Speaker: But, um, what's it called? Like, that throw is like a few yards to the left more than Jordan wanted it to be, but credit to But what have we always said about Jordan Love, even when he got drafted? He had a hell of an arm, but he didn't have great accuracy with the deep ball. So... yeah And all you can say is you gave your guy a chance to make a play there. And they three outcomes. We got the best one, touchdown.
Speaker: The other two are breakup or um interception, which neither is terrible in that spot because he's not getting out of the end zone like without being touched by Watson. And if it's incomplete, you're punting kind of thing. But it was so nice that they didn't go with the give up third down quick screen, which I know we all thought was like,
Speaker: Oh, they're in the bunch formation and they're gonna do some kind of quick screen. It's gonna go nowhere. So, so glad that they went for it and got to kill that stupid bear's haven't allowed a point on the opening third quarter drive thing and stuff. So, nice to take Well, even... How about the friggin' flea flicker QB... Or, I mean, tight end screen thing. Okay, no.
Speaker: Everyone's like, oh that was not a tight edge screen. That was a, oh no, they didn't buy the flea flicker. so So so there's ah there's always a relief valve on every flea flicker and he had to use it. You don't want to have to use it, but he had to use it.
Speaker: Good on Jordan for knowing where it was and for using it. but And then just LeFleur, and I jokingly tweeted this late in the game where I said... Is that a LeFleur middle finger to Johnson? I can't say I know because we've never seen him throw one to another coach before when he called the deep shot that, you know, on one hand, I'm kind of like, oh, God, Jordan's going to get hit here. And then when Golden catches it and and is celebrating, we're all like, yes, yes.
Speaker: Like, suck it, Ben Johnson, kind of thing. And, you know, on one hand, you're kind of like, okay, it's 31 7. Like, you know, this is the time that you kind of can play the scoreboard kind of thing. But it's like, you know what? Yeah, Ben Johnson in your face. So it was delicious.
Speaker: um just and And to add on to your Jordan Love one, I forgot about this. 367 yards is the most passing yards by a Packers QB versus the Bears at Lambeau Field.
Speaker: Which is astonishing when you think about it because like you have It just shows how dumb stats can be because, like, you have the 2014 massacre on Sunday Night Football, which, like, it just seems absurd that Rodgers didn't have 400 yards in a game where he had six passing touchdowns.
Speaker: um You have Favre with the five touchdowns in 96 or 95 or 96. Like, you just, they're just dotted with so many performances by two Hall of Famers and, you know, you hope is another one in Jordan, but like, it is astounding that 367 is the top number, but but yeah, just great.
Speaker: um There's two two other big low-hanging fruits. um I'll go with a lesser one. um Whelan, like, great game.
Speaker: um Like, almost bought the Packers two points at the end of the half because um he, like, and I joked about it later in the game, but he, like, perfectly put the punt down.
Speaker: in that spot of Lambeau where the shadow, the ball, is like going in and out of a shadow. And anyone who's played baseball or caught football is like, that is the worst.
Speaker: That is the absolute worst spot to have to catch a ball because we're... that we're um Khalif Raymond was fielding the punt. He's staring right into the sun. Like, he's standing in the sunlight.
Speaker: And the ball is... Like, where you see it on the broadcast, the ball drops where in that last, like, 15 feet above your head is a punt returner, which is like the... You know, I liken it to crossing the street where you do your last left-right-left check of the street before you cross. That's where you do your last look up, look down, and that's your, like, do you last-minute fair catch the ball?
Speaker: And then you look up again. But in that moment, he's going... Sun to shade, sun, shade to sun. and And it is one of those where even me, I'm like, why are you trying to field that there? like you And it's one of those where it's like, he should know he's on like the one yard line and the punt is clearly above his head. And it's like, there is nothing you're going to gain here from fielding this punt. And it almost just paid off for the Packers like gangbusters because Sturtevant was like two yards away from possibly making a dive for it for a safety order to tackle him. Yeah.
Speaker: I wonder, just to add on that, I wonder if they were playing it like he was going to not field it. And that's why they weren't down there. Because sort it has been there every time.
Speaker: Right, and and that's the thing. With the speed Sturtevant has to get down there, normally he's down there making that play, but it makes me wonder if because of where the ball was placed, if they were playing it like he the Raymond was just going to not field it at or fair catch it at that point.
Speaker: Yeah, makes sense. Makes sense. Who's your next one? I'm going to steal two of them and just combine them because obviously you got to give the props to ah Christian Watson and Matthew Golden for their game today. Those two combined for 266 yards.
Speaker: And, you know, they both had a long over 50. You wish Golden would have been able to get the touchdown out at at least one of them, but Watson had to Bogart the touchdowns and and take both of both of those.
Speaker: But, you know, Watson played really well. he played... i said this during the the live that, yeah, there should have been probably pass interference on the one and it would have been a touchdown anyway.
Speaker: But okay, they didn't call that one, and it was an incomplete pass. Okay, well then J. Michael Sturdivant should have had his touchdown, but they ended up calling out offensive pass interference on that, and he didn't get his touchdown. And then Watson ended up getting the touchdown anyway. So, I mean, it's one of those things like, yeah, you can't complain about it too much because they still ended up with the touchdown, but...
Speaker: You know, who who it's a iffy thing with that. But, you know, Matthew Golden is really taking that next step. I'm really happy for him. I've been ride or die with him since he was drafted.
Speaker: And, you know, 123 yards. a Long of 50, averaged 20 and a half yards. Like I said, you just wish he would have capped it with a touchdown. He did get his Lambeau lead because he did get the two-point conversion.
Speaker: But, you know, you kind of wish it was on on a touchdown instead of the two-point conversion. But it is what it is. oh So, yeah, the routes were smooth. routes were good.
Speaker: Hands were great. You know, this would have been a game... With the way, if this was a couple years ago, this would have been a game where the way Jordan was airing it out, Watson would have had like five drops.
Speaker: But he's really turned it around. He's really settling in. They did say that he you know he had eight targets on six receptions, but one was an obvious pass interference that wasn't called, and the other one, I can't remember what you said it was. But, you know, it is what it is, and these guys just had two great games.
Speaker: I think, what does they say, that now they're ranked fifth and sixth in the league in yards? Something like that.
Speaker: So, um yeah, i I'll have to see where it ends up after today's games, but they were just stellar. And like, combined 12 for 15, 80% success rate, like conversion rate. And like we said, um of those three, one was just a nice play by Johnson in end zone. Another one was should have been DPI.
Speaker: And then the other one, Watson, fell. So just overall stellar day. Xavier McKinney.
Speaker: Awesome day. There is a portion of this fan base that was getting ready to bury him just in week two of this season. um And I know that a certain someone in that group is going to say that it's one game.
Speaker: We'll see how it goes. But... Like... but um like That was 2024 Xavier McKinney just being so timely with the two interceptions.
Speaker: um Like, being in the spot matters. And then being there to... um He didn't end up getting it, but ah set the table for Evan Williams to eventually secure the fumble by Roma Dunze. He's just all around the ball all day today. And just really good day. and And then just to piggyback into it, really good job by the defense to just have a really strong day against the Bears. like um
Speaker: And just shout-outs to, like, Teron Hopper recording his um first regular season interception in a very similar fashion to his postseason interception. um It was a little bit more of him making the play as opposed to receiving a gift from the football gods like it was in the playoff game.
Speaker: But um just... Excellent, excellent play there. ah The dentist had um some some highlights in the game today. um Lucas just lit up Beijing on um the second interception.
Speaker: And it was just an all-around team um contribution kind of day. um c a Cissé had his sack, had a nice...
Speaker: ah He had back-to-back really good plays between the sack and then his pass breakup and stuff. So, like, just, you have to really just like where the defense was at today against the, you know, against an offense that, yes, it was missing a bunch of players and all that kind of stuff.
Speaker: But... um You know, you have to you have to give them credit for, you know, Johnson is still going to do a lot of window dressing. He's going to do a lot of setup pre-snap and all that kind of stuff. And a lot of times, even when they didn't make the play, they were in position, which means that, you know, they were...
Speaker: They were up on their keys. They were paying attention in the meeting rooms this week, all that kind of stuff. And, um you know, the Bears got their one touchdown drive, and it was the drive where, like, Zaire had a really shitty drive and stuff. and But otherwise, like, you know, Cissé missed the tackle on a jet sweep and stuff. But otherwise, they really shut the water off. And...
Speaker: um you know That's the thing. is like Johnson, nine times out of ten, is going to look like a serial whiz kid on offense. But if you're able to handle the window dressing and the movement on the line of scrimmage by um his his blockers, you can really make his offense look foolish. Because um when it gets into the the realm of... like you dissect away the fat and you make it a mano-a-mano, you can really expose how some of his guys aren't totally made for ah what a true one-on-one situation kind of thing. And that's where, um you know, like, Caleb still has issues because the play isn't just given to him kind of thing and and stuff. And there was a lot of that today. It was ah it was a really good game from Ganon today.
Speaker: Yeah, I mean, both coachings ah coaches had really good games with of oh their play calling. You know, the only thing with Gannon is oh somebody else tweeted this, that the Packers live and die by the sack and by the interception so far this year. They were getting kind of ate up a little bit in the run, and there were some...
Speaker: You know, there were some passes that should have been taken care of, but it is what it is. ah Overall, you know, they held them seven points.
Speaker: You can't ask for much more than that. and And Xavier really looked good on that. And, you know, you got to kind of give the assist to Javon Bullard on one of the yeah interceptions. Yep. Because it was a... He should have had the interception, but it was... You know, he was kind of mixed in there with the the receiver on that. But, you know, good for like Xavier to be in the right place at the right time. The second interception was a straight-up robbery, and...
Speaker: You know, I do agree with you that there are certain people out there that were ready to call. They were kind of doing it last year, calling Xavier washed and all that stuff because he wasn't getting the turnovers like he did his first year in Green Bay. But, you know, it is what it is.
Speaker: There's not much to do about it. Well, yeah. and all Right. you know and And I do push back on the people saying, like, it's a second interception. But I'm like, when you look at it, they're missing their best player.
Speaker: They have a lot of young guys on the defensive front. Two of their best players. Right, and now Edge is out. Like, this is your first game without your best second-level defender. um your corner is Your corner room is still sort of a papier-mâché job because Cissé is going through rookie— you know, he had rookie rookie bumps in this game where, like I said, he was in position to make a play on a jet sweep, dives, instead of just staying strong and, like, making a stronger tackle attempt. But then he has the back-to-back plays where he gets in for the QB sack, and then he um breaks up the dig route to Odunze kind of thing.
Speaker: And Nixon was fine today. Like, um he was fine. Like, I think he's I know you're struggling just like I did because it's like he didn't play great, but he was not also horrible either. Right. yeah and i'm like And like, because like, you know, the one where everyone's like, oh, he bracketed Odunze. I'm like, Odunze ran that route horribly. Like Odunze looked like he wasn't, like he either was disinterested or didn't expect to be the target. cut it was It was just one of those where i'm like, okay, like, it's great. Like, I'm glad it worked in our favor, but I'm like, someone, if you ran that route hard, I don't know if he's in phase kind of thing and stuff, but you take the victories you can get.
Speaker: And yeah, like, You know, it's going to be like big plays and stuff, but most defenses operate that way. This isn't the 2000s where like the Steelers and Ravens are just grinding opposing offenses into dust.
Speaker: Or like um where Belichick's defenses could just choke the life out of an offense by being just so technically sound. Like it's just you can't. play that way anymore that the the rules and how offensives um are schematically set up and so it just doesn't you can't operate that way anymore this is how you can tell the packers defense was unless the other offense is just terrible this is how you can tell the packers defense was really playing well i didn't even notice that they went to case keenum over ta tyson badgent there towards the end yeah
Speaker: yeah it wasn't until olson was like oh yeah look they're like huh yeah i did the same thing i was like wait what or no he didn't even say anything i just i looked i was like wait that's not uh badger out there and then olsen said something yeah that's that's 11 not 17.
Speaker: ah So, there you know, that's where you should ah know that the Packers defense. But, I mean, we knew the Packers run game was going to be ah a run defense was going to be a little iffy one way or the other. I mean, they did give up an average of to Swift of 4.8.
Speaker: and bajin even averaged 5.7 on his so i mean i get that they were just a couple of big gashes on him so yeah i'm not saying that it was hor that they're horrible or anything but you also have to go back and see what the falcons did to him with john robinson and and the other robinson that i can't think of his name off the top of my head right but Yeah, so when you get against teams that have great running attacks is when the the theory is a little bit more prevalent.
Speaker: And so that that's just something to keep an eye on for the rest of the season. And this was still the number one off-brush offense, and you held them to 81 yards. I know that you're missing two big keys with no Manungai and no Caleb, but like I said, it's still a lot, so much of what they do on the ground is schematic, and they really did eliminate so much of the schematic part of it. like So you have to be happy with how, like overall you have to be happy with how they performed on the ground. like that is ah That is a good space to be in for the Packers. So, yeah.
Speaker: Uh, you know, fresh-wise, I guess you got to give a little bit of credit to Tucker Craft this week. Five for five, no drops. 64 yards with the long of 46.
Speaker: ah He was the bailout on that flea flicker tight end screen mashup, meshup whatever you want to call it. Um... And so you got to give him a little, these are just kind of like honorable mentions because they're not fully fresh, but they're not stale or anything like that. And then Danai Dennis Sutton really took a step up. ah He was looking pretty good. He's got to learn to play the run a little bit better, but overall he he played really well. So I don't know. Is there any other ones that you really want to cover for this?
Speaker: Um, no, I think we hit everyone, really. I'm pretty happy with all the points we hit. I think, you know, anything, we can always come back to it.
Speaker: But, um, that's how we usually do this show. What's this stale shit? Um... ah i don't know if i want to put smack in here I'm putting smack in here. It wasn't great. but you know like My attitude is kickers miss kicks. like They're gonna miss kicks.
Speaker: um For everyone saying, like oh, Crosby... i'm like Do you remember how bad Crosby was at times? Like, I do get irritated when people, like, think of the good old days, but like, there were some not good old, good at old days in there with Crosby. So, like, let's not lie to our ourselves. Like, you can be upset that he's not making them, but, you know, it's not like he was shanking 20 yarders. Like, it's not great, but, you know...
Speaker: He missed one from the right and this one from the left, but they were 43 and 48 You don't want to see this be a recurring theme the the part that I really did debate going between stale and moldy was the miss P 18 the PTs are the ones that I'm like, okay those like those are i don't want to say inexcusable, but it's like you gotta make those like that's his second one and stuff but like I His kickoffs are still looking good.
Speaker: the um The field goal he made was right down, was pretty solid. So like, you know, we'll well keep this. I put it in still to earmark it, but like I said, it's not like he was missing 30 yarders or something like that. Like he, yeah and apparently the wind wasn't great today and stuff. So this is why I was just going to say that. Yeah.
Speaker: If there's a time to get this stuff out of your system, do it, do it now in a game where you're up 31 to seven kind of thing. And that's what I was going to say was the win didn't see, because I mean, even Santos missed his kick and, uh, you know, they, they had the ball fall off the tee a couple of times. And, uh, if you watched,
Speaker: uh closely enough you could see that some of the player jerseys and the long sleeves were getting whipped around in the wind so the wind was was not great so yeah it's a stale there's no doubt about it but that's not the one i was kind of waffling on there's another one that could be either way i think i'm going to put it in stale this time just to cover bases but
Speaker: The pre one of the press conferences after the Tampa game and before the bears game, the floor said something about, you know, the bench is a great, uh, teacher of, of, or how'd he put it? It was benching someone is a great great way to get.
Speaker: to show that you need to be better and the reason i say that is because it was pretty well that they benched caleb johnson for at least three quarters today and if all they benched him for was because he fumbled the ball that's kind of a piss poor thing when you've got a guy like bo melton who is consistently dropping you know, hit me catches. there It's not like some of these that are juggle ah these ah over the top catches that he's got to make. These balls have been placed on him perfectly and you know, he's making drops. so you're not benching him, but you're going bench Caleb Johnson for a fumble. Now we don't know what's going on at practices and all that, but if that was a situation, that's a stale right now for me. But if it continues to happen,
Speaker: And it's not just because it it it's Caleb Johnson and people are going to say, well, because you're an Iowa homer and all that. No, I would say that with anything. You know, you're already having problems with the run game. Marshawn Lloyd's having issues with with his run lane vision.
Speaker: Chris ah Brooks just got IR'd. You just brought Pierre Strong up. He didn't even really get much of a game plan. I understand you're trying to push Lloyd into being your top guy but to wait until the fourth quarter to play Caleb Johnson at all when he is more of a run-through-a-crowd type runner, that kind of rubs me the wrong way when it comes to if if he was quote-unquote benched for his fumble.
Speaker: because that's a bunch of crap. you It reminds me a lot of 2015 with McCarthy benching Lacey when it's like, yeah, but James Starks is fumbling as much as Lacey is.
Speaker: And it's like Lacey's are just happening to get recovered by the other team. Whereas Starks happens to fumble it out of bounds or a lineman happens to recover it kind of thing where it's like,
Speaker: Like you said, I agree. It's sort of the, why are these not weighted the same? And that's why, like, even more than, like, the Melton stuff, it's like, the other running back fumbled on the same drive where Caleb, and yes, you cannot fumble inside the five-yard line. I totally agree.
Speaker: But also, like, your other running back who you you had as your lead back today, he fumbled two plays before on the same drive. So, like, yeah, I agree. It's one of those where I'm like, all right, LeFleur, if you want to you want to play that game, whatever kind of thing, and yada, yada.
Speaker: Like, it's one thing to say that, but it's other, like, you can just say, like, we trust Pierre and Pastore more. Like, that's that's totally fine. Like, we're all adults, and you can say, like, the thing, like...
Speaker: but yeah And look what happens at the first ah handoff that Caleb Johnson got when they finally played him. He rushed off. He i ripped off 23-yarder.
Speaker: and Okay. and And I love Olsen's reaction to that when they show the behind the the spider camp view. He's like, oh my god, here's theres that gap is five yards wide kind of thing. And hey, like yeah, it was the best blocked run play for the Packers all day, but...
Speaker: We've seen all the running backs on this roster miss that hole all season long kind of thing and stuff. So yeah, but here's took it and turned it into 20 yards. So like, well, here's the other thing though, who are you going to trust? And and I get, and don't get me wrong. Marshawn Lloyd had that really great run for his first touchdown where he ran over a guy and knocked him into knocked him to Hanman, Indiana, but I Who are you going to trust in more in that situation to run between the linemen and run through the junk and get you extra yardage? Are you going to trust the guy that is what are they listing him at? pounds or some shit like that?
Speaker: two hundred and twenty four they've got him listed six one two twenty four or are you going to trust the guy that's five foot seven two hundred pounds yep I mean, so I'm going to trust the guy. and i And you could kind probably call Caleb Johnson a little bit of and people are going to turn this into a joke, but Eddie Lacy Light. He's not going to be as great as Eddie Lacy was in his, ah you know, all-rookie season.
Speaker: But he's going to be that type of guy. He's going to be able to get you the between the... ah gap runs. He's going to be able to get you the straight up the gut runs. He's not going to be able to rip off the, you know, outrun the defense, but he's going to get you yardage.
Speaker: And that was his thing at Iowa is he was going to get you yardage. So that's what really bugs me about this whole, if they, you know, and I'm not saying that it's a situation. Maybe they're again, we don't know what's going on behind the scenes.
Speaker: You know, is he not practicing right? Is he not doing, you know, is he making mistakes? Whatever it is. But if all they did was benched him because of that fumble, that's an issue.
Speaker: Yeah. I agree. Um... I'm trying to think. Yeah. You know, the Morgan pass pro right before halftime wasn't great. I will say the second sack wasn't totally his fault. He had Booker blocked, and then Tomlinson knocked Booker off of him. And, like, you want to see Morgan recover and all that kind of stuff, but it's one of those where it's like, I get that you're supposed to help and stuff, but it's like, if your guys got him blocked, your guys got him blocked kind of thing and stuff. But, um...
Speaker: need to see Morgan clean it up. Don't, you know, you can't have your left tackle leaking, but I still think, you know, he's a first time starter and he's going to go through his growing pains and yada yada and stuff. But, um, you know, it's, it's going to be one of those where it's, you know, he's going to get better as he goes and stuff.
Speaker: So, um, I think I'll put that in the stale. Yeah. To kind of add on that. And I don't, I don't know if you can call this stale, but this is a talking point.
Speaker: And I'm going to continue this until something is something is decided. This is the second week in a row that we've had the same offensive line.
Speaker: And we've had relatively good success, at least keeping Jordan upright. Maybe not so much in the run game, but at least keeping Jordan upright. They just handed a good chunk of money. And I know it wasn't like $20 million dollars or anything, but they just handed Zeitler a good chunk of money.
Speaker: But... Travis Glover hasn't been looking exactly horrible ah as your right guard. I know. I know what you're getting at. It's nice that we're actually having a conversation about this.
Speaker: Right. i get that, you know, when they signed him, our offensive line was worse than a high school team's. but How do you make that decision?
Speaker: Do you continue with what's going until it doesn't go anymore? Or do you just go ahead and reshuffle the line and put Zeitler in because you did hand him the money? I mean, it was only $8 million compared to like a $20 million dollars contract or whatever, but it's still a good chunk of money to just be having sit on your bench.
Speaker: Yeah, I do think he is going to start event because like there's a lot of know-how and all that kind of stuff, but it is nice that Glover is playing well. Like I'm i'm not going to sugarcoat it. It's important that Glover looks good in this time.
Speaker: It is. And that's what I mean is he's been looking good. And I know our buddies over at derailed JJ and Jake.
Speaker: just absolutely lambast Glover because they didn't like the pick in the draft. But you can't not give him props for how well he's played the last two weeks.
Speaker: Yeah, like he's done well. and And like I said, maybe it's not necessarily for this year. I do think that with Zeitler, your ceiling's a little higher, but it's a good sign for the next year kind of thing that you you have something there.
Speaker: So we'll see. But the only reason I say it in the stale moment... is because now a decision has to be made. Do you put Zeitler out there and hope the line stays cohesive or you do you just run with Glover and tell the wheels fall off on it?
Speaker: Yeah. So we'll see. um and doda do I'm trying to think. Is there anything else? The only one is, um... Cam Acord, don't run that, um, that stunt on your kickoff coverage right after you take a 31-7 lead.
Speaker: It is just one of those when you're like, oh, they broke a big return, and then when they show the replay, and you're like, why did we do that? Like, we we just told them, oh, try return the ball here, and they did kind of thing. So it's like, ah, like, don't make it easier than it needs to be for the other team.
Speaker: I'm trying to think. I think I'm going to put Zaire into the stale for this one. Yeah. He didn't have a horrible game, but there were times... It horrible drive. Yeah. Right. And on top of that, you could still see that he was still doing things that we've lambasted before, where he's guessing on gaps and... and you know, missing on he should have had his own sack, but you know, somehow overran, but i think it was Bajent at the time. So yeah I mean, he even threw up the, you know, the, the, I missed you just by that much type thing. It's like, yeah, but if you would have played it a little bit smarter, you probably would have had him.
Speaker: Um, so, and I got to thinking, you know, they, they keep talking about how he's a tackling machine, tackling machine. Is it before point of contact or is it after they gain a certain amount of yardage? It's, it's a lot of late career AJ Hawking.
Speaker: Like there's a lot of Blake Martinez. Yeah, but like just in terms of like build and like relative athleticism, how they look moving on the field, it it does look a lot like late career um AJ Hawk out there. But um you know the leadership he brings and stuff, that stuff does matter and all. But yeah, there is that... like kind of like grinding your teeth like oh like and and i know it worked on the one fourth or the one third down where like he shot a gap and made happened to make tackle but it's like that's the tackle we've seen you miss a lot to start this season too so yeah like you said it's a stale but we'll keep an eye on it moving forward okay i i got another one that i just thought of this is good this is what we're always hoping for
Speaker: Oh, no, I just lost it. ah What was I thinking? Oh, oh okay, i got I got it. Matthew Golden being on the punt returns.
Speaker: I get reason that you... do there's There's two reasons here. like she i totally agree. I'm so glad you thought of this. It's still because nothing horrible happened.
Speaker: One reason is because you don't want your number two slash number one receiver on punt returns. And the other is, why does he continuously let the ball hit the ground before he has to take it? I tweeted that because I was like, you know, yeah, they just had to put him back there because it worked so well from the last season. And and um and I think Bozarowski tweeted it back at me. He's like, if...
Speaker: if if um If Moore is out for a while, Owen is probably getting elevated until he comes back. And I was like, yeah, honestly, please do. because i was thinking that or they opened Savion's time frame so he could be in there.
Speaker: The only problem is Savion doesn't return punts. I know he fielded some in preseason, but we haven't seen him field a live one kind of thing. But I mean, you're at the point where like, yeah, literally anything else but Golden returning the punts. Because like I said, like...
Speaker: Because he had the one, what was it, against Dallas where I thought he got concussed. And I think that's a whole reason he started, like ok I'm going to let the ball bounce and then I'll take it. Yeah. Because that's when it seemed like it gets started.
Speaker: And then everyone got mad at like how Dobbs returned I'm like, he's catching him. And two positive yards is better than letting it bounce for minus 15. So it's like it's like, it's not ideal, but it is the lesser of two evils here. And it's like, and and like...
Speaker: And you know that I was a Dobbs defender and stuff, but I was like, all of you bitching and moaning, I'm like, you'd rather let Golden get lit up or Reed get lit up back there? Like, hey, like, out of all, out of the, the out of the, um, the pecking order, I'm like, the the way that some of you, like, that some fans, like, were jumping up and down about Dobbs being the guy picked, I'm like, I thought you all hated him.
Speaker: Like, what? Like, he's catching the punt. Like, leave him alone of thing. But that that was going to be... That is a great one. I think that was the last one that I was going to think of, too. um Anything else you got or you want to just move on to Moldy, which I think is going to be pretty short this week, too.
Speaker: Yeah, i was gonna say, i'm I'm struggling thinking of really any moldy ones, but ah the only other thing that I can throw out there as like an honorable mention is we're damn lucky Catan Oladapo didn't get nailed for hitting the quarterback after the slide.
Speaker: And the whole reason is, is because he just barely grazed him as he went over the top of him. But still the Keenum was down. Don't make that stupid frigging dive Catan.
Speaker: Yup. So. Uh, where's my button? Here's my button. It's a moldy cheese. ah I'll let you go, because I'm struggling thinking of really any moldy, moldy ones.
Speaker: So I've got two, and they're like really ticky-tacky. So one of them is the Hargrave one, and the initial concerns are that he also tore his Achilles.
Speaker: And I get it. Like, you gotta let the vet get his stats and all that kind of stuff, but also... He's your vet who was on PUP to come into the season, and he's, like, our closer to our age and stuff, and it's like... I get it. Like, you want to give him a chance to get his stats and all that kind of stuff, but it's like... Maybe let some that let McClellan get the late-game snaps kind of thing?
Speaker: And... and And i know you I know you need to like let these guys play a whole game and all that kind of stuff, but it was one of those where, especially like how he got injured where it like the play was gone kind of thing, and he looked like he was kind of letting up to let the play end kind of thing, and that's when he started to hop around and look injured. It was like, just on so many fronts. like Are you serious? like Crap. like It just...
Speaker: I, and I don't know, I, I wasn't able to look at any reports on him, but I know he came in with a toe injury. So all I could think of is maybe he finally broke the, the toe and that really hindered him.
Speaker: Um, but yeah, if they're saying it's an Achilles, then yeah, it's not good. Yep. So. yeah um I know the other one that you're going to say ticky tacky is the the, you know, letting the one not be called defensive pass interference, the other one being defensive or offensive pass interference.
Speaker: I really can't think of any... That was going to be it. Because, ah cause like, I get it. He pushes, but he doesn't even, like, he missed. Like, that's the thing that I was, like, kind of mad at is it's, like, they saw the arm extend, but he doesn't actually, like, extend off Johnson. He missed. Like, he sort of it whiffed.
Speaker: And then, like, to me, Johnson got that call because he's, like, a multiple-time pro bowler against a rookie kind of thing. And because he immediately turns to the ref and is, like, did you see what he did? But even Olsen's kind of, like,
Speaker: he He didn't need to do that, but he also kind of didn't do that. So, like, yeah. it It was a little bit of everything because he was also bringing his hand up because the ball was coming in. He had the one over here and he was bringing the other one up. So it was kind of a weird motion anyway.
Speaker: So, yeah, I mean, but I get it. You know, what's the one thing that we've continuously said on this show that we don't care i mean we do care if the refereeing is going to be shitty but at least be shitty on both sides and you know that kind of was iffy now if it would have been a make or break thing like if it would have been something like the vikings game yeah that that would have definitely been a piss off movement but um the one
Speaker: I do, and I don't know if anybody so if any of the ref crew saw it, but I will throw this into Moldy. That was kind of piss poor sportsmanship by Cairo Santo.
Speaker: oh yeah. that He should get fined for that one. we We should hear about him getting fined on Wednesday for that one, because you're right. That was one where it's like, what are you Now, I understand what happened.
Speaker: Because Golden had just run over one of their staff. If you go back and look at it, he he went out of bounds. He hit and ran over one of the staff of the Bears. And then when he was coming back on the field, Santos threw the leg out there.
Speaker: I understand you're sticking up, but that was still piss poor sportsmanship. It's like, get in in his face. Don't be a little chicken shit. up Like if you're gonna, if you're gonna. Yeah, but he's a kicker. Kickers only use their feet.
Speaker: Yeah, if if he had known if he had known exactly who that was, Golden sort of stepped on his foot. oh We can go eye for an eye here. but Yeah, so I just, I thought that was a bunch of shit. I know some people some other people were, and somebody said, oh, he was trying to trip him. No, he flat out was trying to kick him in the shin. There was no tripping there at all. He flat out was looking like he was going to kick him him in the shin.
Speaker: um so But I saw that and i was like, yeah, that's piss poor. And... to kind of throw into that i saw somebody i was going to look it up because i do want to call them out i thought that this was a bit shitty too um on my i've i've tried to follow along on blue sky as well as on twitter uh as much as i can and this just goes in with the the uh
Speaker: Oh, where's it at?
Speaker: Poor sportsmanship. This is from Zach Goldberg over on Blue Sky. Z Goldberg at Blue Sky. Quote, if MLF doesn't shout fuck the fuck the bears and fuck dick ah in the locker room after, where are we even what are we even doing here? Unquote.
Speaker: And, you know, I came back and said, fuck the Bears, yes. Fuck Ditka, no. that's That's a classless Bears move if you were to do that. And that's not the type of people type of people we need to be.
Speaker: You know, we lambast Bears fans for being classless. Why are we wanting to throw it back at them? So I'm going to throw that sportsmanship in there. I mean, if Ditka was out there...
Speaker: uh you know run in his mouth and shit like that but the guy just died and he was a legend you don't fucking do that shit that's what i forgot to put that in the fresh i'm just glad that we won so we didn't have to hear the ghost of ditka left lifted the bears to a way like I was already like, I'm honestly, and i I haven't been super like on social media this season for my own mentality. Samity? Yes, I get it. Yeah, I get it. We're not playing well. And like, you know, it's mostly for like the people in our own fan base kind of thing that I'm avoiding because I'm like, the sky is falling already for like 40 bazillion different reasons kind of thing. But I'm like, yeah, I don't need the do it for Ditka and like, like,
Speaker: Ditka is going to lead us to victory. I'm just glad that, yeah especially with the whole, like, yeah, this team was short players, didn't have it, but Ditka took us to victory. kind of Like, yeah, I didn't need that bullshit on us today. so and glad And with that comment that that guy did,
Speaker: You know, I thought it was pretty classy what the Packers did. They they had a moment for Ditka. Although, I am going to put this in stale. When you have a moment of silence, you need to at least be silent. And I heard a lot of crowd noise during that moment of silence.
Speaker: And I get that it's a rival ah ah team's... legend, but that would have been like if Bears fans would have made noise during a ah ah moment of silence for Bart Starr when he passed or, you know, let's say Jerry Kramer happens to go sometime this season. mean, he's going to at some point sooner than later.
Speaker: Right. So I just, you know, and... You know, like I said, we lambast Bears fans for a lot of the classless shit that they do, but just that's not.
Speaker: Now, if Ditka would have been gone for like two years after and, you know, Ben Johnson would have said something like, fuck the Bears and fuck, or I mean, fuck the Packers and fuck Vince Lombardi, then you can say something like, yeah, well, fuck the Bears and fuck ah Walter Payton. Yeah. You know, it's been long enough now that I think you can say that kind of thing.
Speaker: They're each more than six feet in the ground at this point. Right. and There's not much left of them underground. so ah But with Dicca having just passed, oh yeah that's not something we need to do. So be better. And I saw somebody called me out for... ah i i just barely saw it when I was looking through things. But...
Speaker: somebody called me out for my stance on um the gold package will gold package get such a bad rap did you happen to see the fucking pictures there towards the end of the game how empty lambo field looked like okay and and this is from someone who lives thousands of miles away kind of thing but i'm like You're supposed to revel in those moments where your team gets a big win. I don't care. Like I said, I don't care who played or didn't play kind of thing. Because I've been there at the big house when Michigan sucked in the early Rich Rod years.
Speaker: And I had to hear go green, go white, and all the stupid rival chants in the big house kind of thing. Like, I i stood there and took it. I'm like...
Speaker: You bet your ass I'm gonna sit there and revel in like, um, and like, like, I would be doing all kinds of dumb shit about like, Caleb, you could warm em up, but you couldn't play in the game kind of thing and stuff. Like, like, yeah, like, you do, like, Gold Package, you do deserve to take your tongue lashing for like, like, you leave when it's your team getting blown out. Like, Well, it wasn't even that they left. A lot of ah people were saying that there were a ton of Bears fans in the stand. And the whole reason is, is because Milwaukee's playing in the LCS tonight.
Speaker: Well, then don't get that gold package game. Right. Like, so I have so many thoughts on that too, but I'm not going to say them because I'm just going to be a guy who's salty was cheering for his wife's team and stuff. But, um, like,
Speaker: Yeah, like, like like that that's just even more annoying. Like, that that does piss me off a lot. That if you're gonna use that rationale, then, like, you should have taken the frickin' time to find Packers fans to sell your tickets to.
Speaker: And I get it. Like, I will say this in defense. Like, it can't only be the gold package and yada yada. And I do get it. Like, the opposing team's fans do show up earlier than the home team's. Like, that is just the status quo. But it's like...
Speaker: That does piss me off. like That goes straight into the moldy. like If that's going to be your excuse, that like oh it's because the you need to sell your fucking tickets. like I'm sorry. like Don't complain and bitch and moan that the team left Milwaukee. They're the Green Bay Packers.
Speaker: they're They're not the Milwaukee Packers. And all of you, like, you know, you're just lucky that, um, you're, you're, you're so freaking lucky that Bob Harlan had, had the, had the gold in his heart to give the gold package something.
Speaker: Because there's a lot of other, and I get it we're not every other team, we don't have an owner, all that kind of shit, but... There's a lot of other teams who would have just said, tough shit. that's the Them's the breaks you get in life kind of thing. To be fair, i think if it was up to policy, Ed Policy at this moment, and he was coming down to that thought instead of Bob Harlan, with the way Ed Policy keeps talking about money coming in, money coming in, have wiped out the gold package in a heartbeat started getting some of those names off the frigging wait list because he knew the money was going to come in.
Speaker: Yup. And that's the thing is everyone's like, oh, but they paid for the ticket. Yeah, they're not getting the second market shit. Like, that's the part that policy's like, I'm going to get someone who's going to want to be in that seat and isn't going to fuck up the rest of the atmosphere, whether it's by being a an annoying fan or selling their ticket to the highest bidder kind of thing. like And and and like like I said, we could go on and on and on about this, but...
Speaker: There are so many people within the Green Bay Packers blogosphere and um your social media sphere. Kuzno is one of them who does yeoman's work. Like, if you're going to sell tickets, contact me, like please. like There's so many people who try to do that. And like and then you know and then the gold pay, look, I can get it for And it's like, fucking sell your tickets. like You don't deserve to have them if all your time is to try to make the biggest bang for your buck when you're not going. like like And that's what I complained about. dead horse is like I don't want to beat a dead horse because in my eye, like like I said, you're a bad fan if like that's your rationale. like
Speaker: Like, I don't care. The Brewers have been quote-unquote good this whole decade. And like, okay, fine. You've known for about a month that they were going to make the playoffs. And if you really believed in this team, you should have known when the ALCS was going to line up.
Speaker: So it's like, don't give me that crap now that is like oh, but they just made the ALCS on Thursday. It's like no, like, or on Wednesday. Fuck that. Like, that's a piss-poor reason. Like, that's a bullshit so way ah to um argue your circumstances and your reasoning. Like, get that shit the fuck out of here.
Speaker: But we'll... Unless you had one more point, I'm done talking about them because, like I said... Like, Milwaukee fans, you're just, you're playing poor to get just all the benefits and you're not you're not respecting what Harlan stood for you for.
Speaker: Like, like you're you're literally disrespecting Harlan's memory by pulling this kind of crap. And I'll stand on that statement. like And I speak for that as someone who doesn't leave live in the state of Wisconsin, who has to pay more for plane tickets to get to the state of Wisconsin to go to a game than whatever stupid secondary market ticket pricing I would have to pay to get into Lambeau. So yeah. it is disrespectful to Bob Harlan it's disrespectful to people like me who have to go and travel to get to games so yeah you're gonna get my two cents and you're gonna get a pissed off mic when it comes to like oh well you don't I do fucking understand there's shit more important to you than going and supporting the Packers so fucking sell your tickets like you don't deserve them
Speaker: And just to see, like I said, there was a ton of empty seats today towards the end of the game. And it wasn't just gold ah package fans going back to Milwaukee. It was a lot of Bears fans in that stand, in those stands.
Speaker: And how did they get the tickets? Because gold package guys, people were selling them. And that's that's the case. so And it's not just gold package that sells them, I get that. But if the gold package is gonna get rivalry games,
Speaker: You can't sell those tickets because then you're going to get rivalry fans in the, in the stands. So that would be like, how many times did they bid about, uh, and this is baseball stuff. So if people don't follow baseball, but how many times do we hear about them bitching about Cubs fans getting into Milwaukee's baseball stadium? I can't remember what it, am fam field, I think is what it is now.
Speaker: Um, It's the same thing in Green Bay. You guys are letting the same thing happen in Green Bay. So I agree. we We can beat that dead hard, but I just found I'd have to go back and look at the comment. But yeah, you do it's not just gold package. It's like right now it is because you guys are getting the rivalry games.
Speaker: Yep. But. Hey, these are the kind of things that we can spend our time bitching about after a game when you go out and just take care of business. If you think that rant was bad, just think would have happened if the Packers would have lost, how bad we would have ranted against you guys. Oh my god. Yup.
Speaker: I would have flown up to slap every one of you as you walked into Lambo at the next gold package game. I would have paid $1,000 that. wouldn't. no i wouldn't We need to come up with it somehow.
Speaker: but We'll sell a lot of merch. Speaking of, go over to OhanaPackers.org and get your merchandise. so Support us so Joe and I can go and slap gold package members in the face for being bad facts.
Speaker: We should be put that out put that on a shirt, Joe.
Speaker: Smack gold package. Oh, hey, that's how we're going to put smack on a shirt, too. but Okay, we're going off the rails. Let's put a bull on this one.
Speaker: um The Green Bay Packers get to over 500 for the first time on the 2026 season. Yeah. um Got to be happy with where the team's trajectory is headed.
Speaker: couple big games coming up against um some NFC opponents. Three straight rivalry games. Today's was the Bears. Next week's the Cowboys. And the week after that is the Lions. So three straight rivalry games.
Speaker: Yep. So just got to keep putting um putting pelts on the wall. um And for the Packers, like you just got to keep pace because the Vikings have just decided they're not going to lose this season. and they're They're using all the voodoo magic. Here you go.
Speaker: One thing before we go. We got to make a guess on this now because practices haven't happened yet. Does Micah start practicing this week? oh
Speaker: Because it is Cowboys week.
Speaker: I'm going to say yes, but I don't think he plays this week. I'm wondering if he does start practicing this week just to give Jerry Jones fear that, oh my God, Micah's going to be playing this week and he's going to destroy us.
Speaker: Especially because Domovsky and Schneidman both had tweets on Thursday, I think it was, where they're like, he is ramping up in the rehab group. Like, he is he is starting to move do more drills and um move in ways that look like a guy who's getting closer to coming back kind of thing. And Micah even did a tweet of something about, like, one more week or some shit like that. Yeah, and like I said, I think he – and based on –
Speaker: I love how supportive you are of him, Terrence, but I don't know how good of a source Terrence is on this, but Terrence has alluded to Micah using more of the 21 day than less of it kind of thing. So we'll see.
Speaker: But I just get the feeling that, like you said, it's going to be a little bit of smokescreen where he's going to open the window this week. But he probably I just don't know if they want him to play at Ford Field. Like, I really do wonder how much. Now, here's the tweet. I just found it. Here's the tweet.
Speaker: It says one week closer exclamation party. And then it looks like a lion's head. And then it says, thank you, God exclamation point. So read into that, what you think you can read into it.
Speaker: And then of course, when you do look at Micah's Twitter page, the first thing on there is um, or his, his, um,
Speaker: Header picture is a scarred lion's head. So are we digging into the conspiracies here? oh course we are oh i completely forgot before i was gonna put this in there as a fresh and i've completely forgot about it so i'm gonna throw this in there real quick and it's a non-packers fresh we heard the greatest snap count in the world from the hawkeye uh shit who did they play hawkeye's uh uh washington game ju ah jeremy heklinski fourth in like fourth and two he was trying to get him to jump off sides
Speaker: And he goes through his hard count, goes through his hard count, and finally yells, fucking jump off sides. Or fucking jump, fucking jump. Greatest in the world. I have to put that in the fresh because Hot Mike's caught it, and it was just the greatest thing in the world.
Speaker: That was amazing. Yeah. like i thought it I thought it was a joke. like I thought someone ADR'd it something, but I was like, oh no, it's actually real. That was live because even RG3 and them were like, well, you guys heard it. We can't repeat it, but you heard what he said.

Speaker: Like I said, the vibes are immaculate. The Packers are second in the NFC North. um They've put themselves in position after a rough start to the season. um All hands are on deck right now, and they're looking to get to 4-2 next week against the Cowboys. So on that note, go Pack Go and aloha.
