We're giving a certification. Like even all of the certifications that a lot of us have gotten, like it's not actually standardized by anything, right? Like a lot of people just like make up their own certifications
The Role of Enthusiasm in Learning

and stuff. And as humans, it gives us this little feeling of checking off the box of like, oh my God, I did it. I'm good at something, right? And we kind of put our power into that. And when we're putting our power and we're outsourcing our power into these certifications, into these programs, it's and saying, oh, yay, I got the golden star. Like I quote unquote know how to do this. um

But we stay in that place. That's really being a victim of this like shadow of indifference. And um there's two ways that this can show up. It can show up as self-deluded or gullible. And it's being a victim of techniques. So when we're being a victim of techniques, this is where we might have a thriving coaching business or we might have um you know, we might be like doing really great things, but we keep thinking, I need more. I need more techniques. I need more skills. Um, you know, maybe you're like really good at one thing and you're like, Oh, but everyone else is also incorporating energy healing. So I feel like I need to go get the certification of energy healing. And what we're doing is again, we're outsourcing our power and we're putting all of the, the, like we're putting all of our worth onto the actual skills and techniques themselves.

And what happens is when we're doing that from from that place of like, oh, I feel like I need this in order to be a credible leader, in order to charge more, in order to get my clients transformations, I must need this other skill. When we're going about things in that way, right? It's not really like this fun and and exciting way, right? And so it's kind of more coming from a place of desperation, a place of scarcity, a place of lack. Oh, I need this thing. Maybe um some of you have had that experience where you're like, oh, in order for me to like be taken seriously, must also have to have this like certain certification in something. So let me just go do it. I'm not really interested in it. I'm not really excited, but everyone else is doing it. Let me just do it. This will make me seem like a better coach. This will make people trust me more. And so then you you sign up for these programs and then like either you never finish them or you like dread it the whole time.

So there's a lot of people that also talk about like you know, you don't need another certification. You don't need another blah, blah, blah. That's only true if you're doing the certification or learning a new skill or modality from scarcity and to seem important and to seem like, oh, this will make me a better coach. But if you're actually obsessed with all of these different things, which a lot of us are very multi-passionate, right? A lot of us have a lot of these different things that we love and

I have to say it in this exact way. I have to use her prayer. i have to do her steps. And in that way, again, it's taking all of the joy and like life force and like our own power out of it. And we're focusing and relying way too heavily on the modality itself. And so then what happens is like, we're constantly comparing ourselves to them. Or we constantly have this feeling of like, I'm going to be canceled or like the industry is going to

You're in a session, you're not thinking, okay, my coach told me that I need to open with this prayer and then I need to first give some sort of like evidential um proof that I'm tapped in and then I need to ask her, what
