Introduction to Halloween Special

00:00:07
Speaker
Welcome everyone to a very special Halloween edition Based on a Book. I'm Keri, your Halloween hype girl waiting for my masked book boyfriend to burst through my window and sweep me off my feet.
00:00:22
Speaker
I'm Lindsay, and I'm here for the tricks, the treats, and the terrifying tales. I'm Crystal, I'm only here for the treats. Ha
00:00:34
Speaker
For this episode, we are lighting our pumpkin scented candles, snuggling in our cozy blankets, and snacking on our favorite Halloween candy.
00:00:44
Speaker
Because today is just a fun, quick hangout. With based on a book, sprinkled with some spooky vibes. Because it's freaking Halloween. Our second year freaking Halloween.
00:00:56
Speaker
It's freaking bats. I love Halloween. That's our second year dropping a Halloween episode. If you haven't already, check out our episode from last year where we actually covered a title, Silence of the Lambs, where Lindsay actually hosted that episode.

Guess the Movie Game Begins

00:01:14
Speaker
ah But today, actually going to get right into it, starting with a game that i did not make up. I actually saw a lot of these on TikTok.
00:01:26
Speaker
But I did make up this title of this game. and I call it Dead Wrong Descriptions Halloween Edition. Ooh.
00:01:39
Speaker
Where Crystal and Lindsay have to guess the mess. I'm going to describe a movie you would typically watch during spooky season in the absolute worst way possible.
00:01:52
Speaker
And Crystal and Lindsay have to guess the title. I do have a disclaimer, though. i did send a list. to Lindsay and Crystal of like every horror or spooky movie I could think of or ones that I found on like list of like top horror spooky movies that you would watch during Halloween season or spooky season ah to ensure that they had at least seen all these movies that I'm going to talk about today so they do have a somewhat idea of what movies I'm going to be talking about but it was a pretty long list yeah hopefully they forgot everything
00:02:31
Speaker
So we'll be good to go. Okay. So you guys are just going to guess until you either gave up if you don't have any idea or until you guess the title.
00:02:43
Speaker
Okay.
00:02:46
Speaker
First one is going to be pretty easy. First one's going to be super easy just so you get an idea of how the game is going to First title, first description.
00:02:55
Speaker
already laughing. I'm already laughing because I actually wrote all these. actually wrote all these. Three singing sisters soar on cleaning supplies, inhaling children to keep their eternal glow.
00:03:11
Speaker
It's Hocus Pocus. Yes, it is Hocus Pocus. See, I told you this is going be easy. It's going to be easy. Let's survive. You said you started with the easy one, though. I honestly think that you guys are going to guess all these, to be honest.
00:03:25
Speaker
Okay, second title. So you both got the first one. Second title. misplaced visitor befriends a kid who helps find his family evading people in the process oh yes yes it's et look at you go crystal yeah crystal you got it i mean so far she's done like family friendly movies so yeah get into something else i'm in trouble i'll score hold on okay yes okay
00:03:58
Speaker
Lindsay, Crystal, Carrie Carrie gets a point if she stumps us both Okay Third title but I'm like laughing at myself A cold blooded man's inner conflict between catching feelings and satisfying his hunger silence for me I got nothing and and Okay.
00:04:30
Speaker
Cold-blooded man's inner conflict between catching feelings and satisfying his hunger. Sounds like warm bodies, but we... It is warm bodies. It is warm bodies. That is actually on a ton of lists of movies to watch during spooky season, which I was actually very surprised. It doesn't feel... i mean, it is obviously zombies, all that stuff, but it's not really set during...
00:04:54
Speaker
fall autumn time or anything but it's not a lot of lists for it that was not on the list that you sent us though it was not but I knew both of you had seen that's cheating you can't assume Carrie that just because I said I read it when we covered it that i actually I did read it yeah and watch touch it you watched it okay so Lindsay got that one fourth title fourth movie A group of friends and their pet dog go on vacation just to get kidnapped and possessed.
00:05:29
Speaker
Is that Scooby-Doo? Yep, that's a Scooby-Doo movie. I love that movie. That movie's so good. It's so good. Like, honestly, I was like looking back at all of these. I'm like, damn, that is such a good movie. Like, I need to rewatch that.
00:05:42
Speaker
I would not have guessed that. I don't know why. that would have just... ah It was the pet dog part. The pet dog probably got me.
00:05:53
Speaker
Okay, fifth title.

More Movie Guesses with Humor

00:05:56
Speaker
i don't I don't know if you guys are going to get this one. I'm scared. One girl's cursed burn book serves terrifying justice in a small town, one person at a time.
00:06:10
Speaker
Scary stories to tell in the star dark. Yep, that's what it is. ye almost said Mean Girls. I know, I did that on purpose because there is like you know Halloween in Mean Girls.
00:06:21
Speaker
People were trying to, they actually said that on some list that Mean Girls could be like a Halloween movie. But I was like, I mean, it could also be a Christmas movie too if you really want to get into it. but Right. So it's for all seasons. It's fine. Yeah, it's for all seasons. It's good.
00:06:38
Speaker
Okay, next title. Unhinged counselor takes helping a couple a little too far. Unhinged counselor.
00:06:50
Speaker
Oh, completely unhinged counselor. That didn't help. Yeah. Unhinged marriage counselor took it way too far.
00:07:03
Speaker
Oh, no. i got nothing. Oh, no. It's gonna be my point. I think this is a Carrie point. I don't know. Are you guys giving up? I give up. I give up.
00:07:14
Speaker
It's Beetlejuice. Oh, okay. I almost said Beetlejuice, but i You got me. And I just watched that like six months ago. get a point.
00:07:26
Speaker
All right, the score is Lindsay with five. I have three. Carrie's got one. Good job. Okay, next title. Four unemployed nerds with leaf blowers exterminate a city.
00:07:42
Speaker
Who are you gonna call? Leaf blower- Go, Silicesters! Lee, you can't- Okay, alright, sure. You can't call that leaf blower.
00:07:57
Speaker
But you also can't cross the streams. No. Okay, I said it was Carrie's bad description. So bad. So bad. Carrie's bad description.
00:08:07
Speaker
but and didn't say it was a good description. fair enough, fair enough. Next title.
00:08:17
Speaker
Everyone's gonna get this. Guy gives dinner tips to interviewer. this Silence of the Lambs? Yes, it is. I tried to make that so basic.
00:08:30
Speaker
So basic. So basic. yeah that is That is on a lot of people's spooky season list, which honestly is very surprising. like Just because it's like horror, I don't necessarily think it's for spooky season. I think that's interesting.
00:08:51
Speaker
Next one. a movie so wild it will make your head spin.
00:08:58
Speaker
The Exorcist. Yep. I got one.

Favorite Halloween Movies and Books

00:09:02
Speaker
Go, Crystal. I was going through movies in my head of head spinning. You made my head spin. Yep.
00:09:11
Speaker
but Okay, this next one, I'm going to struggle trying to say it.
00:09:15
Speaker
Okay.
00:09:19
Speaker
Mice versus demonic one-toed nightmare. The Witches. But the new one Anne Hathaway. Yes.
00:09:31
Speaker
Oh, that was a nightmare.
00:09:36
Speaker
That was the best one i could think of for the witches. That was so bad. Okay. Nosy outsider infiltrates small town and it ruffles some feathers.
00:09:50
Speaker
Oh, the birds. Yep. Crystal, you said you were going to be so bad at this game. no, that was me. Oh, yeah. No, Crystal said it, too. No, I thought I would be awful at this.
00:10:02
Speaker
I knew I would be awful at this. Ruffle some feathers. Yep. That was good. That was good. That was good, Carrie. That was good. right, next one. Teen newcomers get tangled up with a shady crew and try not to fall into peer pressure.
00:10:22
Speaker
Shady crew. Is that the clue? no no my My first thought was Lost Boys. Yep. It's Lost Boys. so oh ah Finally. Yay. Go, Lindsay. Lindsay, we're tied.
00:10:37
Speaker
Back on the board. right. Next one. Sisters use the power of tequila to fix a man-made disaster.
00:10:48
Speaker
Practical magic. Practical magic. Yep. Mm-hmm.
00:10:52
Speaker
That was such a good one. We need some midnight margaritas up in here. Yep. Alright, next one. Last one. Husband and wife hired to remove bad vibes from a house.
00:11:05
Speaker
The Conjuring! Yeah, Lindsay! You got it! I can see it in your face! I was so excited. It's been so long since I saw that movie. Lindsay wins! Lindsay has nine points. I have eight, Carrie. Just the one, but dang, those were good.
00:11:20
Speaker
ah yeah that was good job that was a good game that was so much fun it took me so long to come up with these descriptions this making these games y'all it's it i don't know it seems easy when you're when you're actually doing the game but like the work behind it it's intense yeah Honestly, I was surprised with a lot of these titles that were on the different lists that I was looking at. Because when I was sending these to you guys, ah trying to get which movies that we had all seen together so that you would at least be familiar with the titles.
00:11:58
Speaker
I was like, what is honestly like the definition of a movie book? or but that you would watch during spooky season?
00:12:10
Speaker
Like for you guys, like what would you say defines like something that you would watch during spooky season? I feel like it's... I'm sorry. Go ahead, Lindsay.
00:12:21
Speaker
No, go ahead, Crystal. Well, feel like it's right up there with defining a Christmas movie. Like, is it a movie that's about Christmas? Is it a movie that's set at Christmas? Like, set on Halloween? You know what I mean? Yeah. So, like, so with the spooky season, are we talking about specifically movies set in the fall around Halloween? Or are we talking about movies that are scary or about...
00:12:43
Speaker
you know creatures i don't know like spooky creatures but it could take time and i mean i guess well what's the one that of course nightmare before christmas there you go like is that a halloween movie or christmas movie yeah both i know that's how for sure like edward scissorhands like people there was like people say it's a christmas movie people say it's a like spooky season a movie so that's kind of like similar thing what do you think lindsey I really just want something that's going to get my heart rate going. And I just. I just want the dark ambiance.
00:13:21
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. See, and I'm the opposite. I like the like cozy Halloween family friendly, like the hocus pocus and Halloween town, you know, like, I don't know, like kid friendly.
00:13:34
Speaker
It's set in the fall. There's trick or treaters. Nobody dies. you know, the opposite of Lindsay. Yeah. i I like both. Like, I like a good ambiance. Like, Spooky Season to me is ambiance. Like, there is a vibe. There's, like, sense going on, whether it's, like, in a movie, a book, anything like that.
00:14:00
Speaker
But I do like a good, like, horror... movie or book during spooky season or set during like fall time.
00:14:14
Speaker
But also like if you think of like a summer slasher, like for some reason and during the summertime, I am in the mood for horror during summertime too. So I don't think it's necessarily just horror. Like it has to have like a specific vibe where it almost has like, almost like dark academia or like just like setting where it almost feels like cold.
00:14:39
Speaker
and It almost has like a cozy feeling to me. Or like even horror can feel cozy to me. Even scary can feel cozy to me. i like For me, I call that the pumpkin spice latte vibe.
00:14:50
Speaker
Yeah. it to it I need to have that fall feeling. You know? yeah Whether it's in the, you know, is it set because you see the leaves falling on the ground and there are people trick-or-treating? Or maybe it's just everybody's wearing sweaters in the movie? I don't know, but Yeah, definitely. I like that.
00:15:12
Speaker
That vibe. Yeah. So let's get into some recommendations, some book or movie recommendations. So going to start with Lindsay. So what do you have some recommendations for us to read or watch during spooky season?
00:15:27
Speaker
So, a movie that I think really captures Halloween is Trick or Treat from 2007. kept seeing that on, like, every single list. I've never seen it before.
00:15:40
Speaker
hey love that movie. Like, once it came out, that became a tradition to watch every Halloween. It's like an anthology film ah with several intertwining stories.
00:15:54
Speaker
So you get a little bit of everything within this one movie, but there's one character that really stands out. His name is Sam. He's the one that you really see when they're promoting the movie.
00:16:04
Speaker
um He's like one of my favorite scary movie characters. oh cool i honestly like i kept literally seeing that everywhere and i was like i need to see this because apparently everyone's seen it and i have not seen that before so it's really good cool what about you crystal one that i watch every year is the i believe it's a cartoon network siri um
00:16:36
Speaker
limited series called Over the Garden Wall. I watch it every year with my best friend. It's about two brothers that go over the garden wall and they're lost in the woods and they have some random misadventures and discover a mystery and kind of unwittingly end up a part of that mystery and it's really cool I it's super fun it's super weird in in the best ways um and we we love watching that it's one of my all-time favorites it has the that whole Halloween fall vibe going on her I love it that's cool
00:17:19
Speaker
i have like I have this one movie that I used to watch like when I was younger every year. It's called The Worst Witch. Have you guys ever heard of that?
00:17:31
Speaker
Yep. It's pretty old. has Tim Curry and d Diana Rigg in it. and Honestly, I used to watch it a lot, and I haven't watched it again in a really long time.

Memories and Recent Watches

00:17:46
Speaker
And I was thinking back on it recently and i was like, I really want to watch that again. Like that was like peak for me. Like I loved watching that. And it was, it was like so cozy to me. It was like witchy vibes. It's, it's very like cheesy now to think about, like think back on.
00:18:09
Speaker
But I, I used to love that movie so much. Like that was like so good to me. And then recently I watched a Late Night with the Devil. Lindsay, we watched that.
00:18:19
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. And that was so good. And I feel like that's literally like a Halloween movie to me. That is definitely a Halloween movie like that you should watch for sure.
00:18:30
Speaker
Like, I really like that. Do you guys have any other movies?
00:18:37
Speaker
Scream. Like, I actually watch Scream almost every fall. I haven't... haven't seen Scream. I forced my daughter to watch it. She's like me. She doesn't really like scary movies. And I was like, this is definitely a scary movie, but it's like more of a gotcha jump scare kind of thing. It's kind of campy. I think you'll be okay with it. She was not. She was really mad at me, but still really like it. It's just nostalgia for me. So i think i think that's part of the vibe though.
00:19:07
Speaker
Like to me, Halloween spooky season is a little bit of nostalgia. Yeah, for sure. I really like that. Yeah, what about you, Lindsay? I mean, kind of like what Crystal said.
00:19:19
Speaker
Halloween. Like, the John Carpenter 1978 Halloween. Yeah. i I told you guys how I watched that again. Like, that movie scared me to death when I was younger.
00:19:32
Speaker
Like, when I was, like, really young, I watched that was, like, my very first, like, scary movie when I was younger. and it used to give me nightmares. And then I watched it for the first time re-watched it for the first time. You know, I was, like, dealing with my trauma from it, you know? Like, I was like, okay, I'm going to watch this again because it's not scary.
00:19:50
Speaker
It's okay. Yeah. re-watched it and I was like this movie's so stupid it's not even scary it's just Dr. Loomis running into rooms screaming Michael's coming yeah he though literally he's just like standing around he's just standing and then he's like peeking around the bushes And then do you guys ever notice in that movie? He's like driving so much.
00:20:13
Speaker
He's driving a car so much and just like staring as he's driving. He does that so much in the movie. And was like, why did never notice this before? i mean, I was so young and honestly, like hiding under the covers, like terrified.
00:20:26
Speaker
My dad's like, we got to watch this movie. It's not that bad. It's a really good movie. Me. I'm literally terrified. Nightmares for years. Yep. He's so scared.
00:20:38
Speaker
Thinking he's literally coming in my window as a teenager. Like, I'm honestly terrified. oh my gosh. I have some, like, book recommendations. Because, honestly, I love really good, like, during spooky season, like, reading is, like, peak for me.
00:20:57
Speaker
but i I even have like a

Spicy Romance Book Recommendations

00:20:59
Speaker
lot of romance recommendations like for Spooky Season. I have ah Don't Hex and Drive by Juliette Cross, which wearing sweatshirt here right now. Devraj's favorite sweatshirt because Devraj is...
00:21:14
Speaker
The Vampire That You Meet in Don't Hex and Drive from... this is the second book in the Stay a Spell series, I think it's called. Possibly. Maybe.
00:21:26
Speaker
I'll link that in the description later. But Devraj is one of my book boyfriends. ah One of many. And literally, i was listening to this audiobook when I first read it.
00:21:39
Speaker
And he had me blushing from beginning to end. he had me so flustered. This man... This man, I'm telling you right now, read this book right now. It is so, so good.
00:21:52
Speaker
It is very cozy. Like it's like set with like sisters that are all witches that like work in this cute little shop. It's like very cozy, witchy vibes. And there's like vampires, werewolves, super cute.
00:22:07
Speaker
This is the second book. The first book is really good too. i think I gave this first book four stars. This one's like a six star for me. It's very, very good. Yeah. And then I have Harley LaRoe.
00:22:19
Speaker
You know, Harley LaRoe. She is the queen of like extra over the top spicy, but has like equal spicy, equal plot in her books.
00:22:32
Speaker
Like me, I like struggle with lately having things that are like, because I read a lot of spicy stuff. So I struggle with things that are like super spicy in books lately and just not enough of like, you know, extra plot outside of the spice. You know what I mean?
00:22:50
Speaker
This has both. This has a good mixture of both. Okay. Her Soul to Take by Harley Rowe. Fantastic. Paranormal Investigator. Okay. Paranormal Investigator.
00:23:01
Speaker
She comes to this town. lot of creepy shit going on in this town, man. And she comes to this town and she accidentally summons a demon. And her and this demon doing some things.
00:23:15
Speaker
to You need to get on this one, man. And and this town is spooky as hell. And it's crazy. It's so, so good. Okay. The Dare by Harley wrote starts with novella set on Halloween night.
00:23:31
Speaker
Okay. Oh, and this is like a bully romance. So you don't like bully romance. This one may not be for you, but it is a bully romance. This is a novella and it starts to the losers duet.
00:23:45
Speaker
And this is really good. Why choose romance? Very, very good. Like I said, equal parts, extra spicy, but still has really good plot. Um, another adult spicy, not super spicy, but has really good plot, but has like good spicy romance.
00:24:04
Speaker
Hollow Heathens by Nicole Fiorina. This is like peak of witchy atmosphere vibes.
00:24:17
Speaker
Like this is spooky season vibes right here to me. And it's like unrequited love. And it's just, this is, like, so good. Like, if someone asks me for, like, a spooky season romance recommendation, this is, like, my go-to romance recommendation.
00:24:38
Speaker
And then I have two... YA, like young adult books. um The Wicked, I read this one this year Earnshaw, I believe.
00:24:49
Speaker
And I think I've talked about it, this one on the podcast before. This one is kind of, it gives me like a little bit of Practical Magic vibes. But set in a small town on like a coast.
00:25:05
Speaker
And there's like a curse on this town. A little bit curse on this family. and on, you know, women in this family. And there's like a stranger that comes to this town. And kind of trying to understand this curse. A little bit of unrequited love. in here You'll see a theme here.
00:25:24
Speaker
lot of unrequited love. And that's like kind of like my favorite trope. This is really good. And honestly, this isn't... I don't think a lot of people would say that this is Spooky Season book recommendation.
00:25:39
Speaker
But me, this gives Spooky Season just for like vibes alone. Because this is kind of witchy, kind of just like...
00:25:51
Speaker
I don't know. i just got to say it's vibes. It's the Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater. It's just vibes, honestly. I recently got the graphic novel because the graphic novel... I read the entire series and the graphic novel of the first book has just been released.
00:26:05
Speaker
So if you don't want to read the book like this, the graphic novel is now available and I believe it's going to be continuing that way, which is really cool. So I'm going to be rereading it by the graphic novel.
00:26:18
Speaker
But it's just the vibes. The vibes are like peak for me for spooky season. So I definitely recommend this one for that too. Sorry, just kind of just blew through all those. But I really, I like, honestly, spooky season vibes are my favorite for reading to me personally.

Reflecting on Halloween Tastes

00:26:40
Speaker
You always have the best like spicy romance Rex. So I'm like, what's the trope you need? What's the trope you need? Cause I got you. Right. Love it.
00:26:51
Speaker
Whenever you guys are like, I really need this vibe. This is what I'm in the mood for. And I'm like immediately researching, looking through all my shelves. I'm like, okay, I got this, this, this, here you go.
00:27:02
Speaker
That's I'm here for. I love that the three of us are so different. Yeah. i on what we read but like we still really enjoy just good books in general but you were like come with some halloween rex or some spooky season rex and you picked super spicy and romance halloween romance and lindsey i want to hear what you picked and then going to tell you what i picked do you have any book rex no
00:27:34
Speaker
So this is one that I actually haven't read all the way through yet, but I'm really interested in finishing it. It's the 20th Century Ghosts by Joe Hill. I don't have the book, so... Put it up there. Yeah.
00:27:50
Speaker
It's a short story collection, so obviously we've read one of the stories, but every story is going to lead you somewhere new, and it's ghosts, monsters, heartbreak,
00:28:03
Speaker
it's It's a bunch of different stuff. So I really want to finish reading that one. oh I bet you that's going good. Yeah. I'm excited. I am have the...
00:28:17
Speaker
two book recs that I really love. The first one is called Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson and Alex Scheffler. It is a children's book, but it's really cute. It's about a witch and her cat and they are flying on the broom.
00:28:34
Speaker
And they land. And every time they they come down and land, they find a new critter to join their trek. And the cat is a little disgruntled because there's not enough room on the broom. But the witch is like, we'll make room.
00:28:50
Speaker
And adventure ensues. It's quite adorable. Does that one have an adaptation too? yes, yes. yes It's still a lot of still pictures and I think some so like stop motion type, but it is really cute.
00:29:07
Speaker
And the woman from the X-Files, whose name I can't think of, is the voice of the witch. And I can't, she narrates the, that she just narrates the the thing. It's not like acted out or anything. So like the characters don't have yeah different voices, but it's really, what is her name?
00:29:26
Speaker
Yeah. well Jillian Anderson? No. Yeah? Is that it? i don't remember. i feel awful. But she's it's really adorable. um And my son and I love that one. And then my second rec is the... It's Bed Socks and Broomsticks. It's the first book in the Omensford series. It's a modern-day witch who faces modern-day witchy issues. She has electrical powers, so she tends to short out like her cell phone all the time or computers.
00:29:56
Speaker
And she's in a small little village, kind of surrounded by other witches for the most part. Someone winds up dead and she ends up being the prime suspect. So she has to solve this murder in order to clear her name. It's really cute. There's a little bit of romance, maybe, but...

Speaker
So far, really love it. It is ah Jillian Anderson, by the way. Thank you. I think it's hilarious that here I am, like, my son's favorite Halloween story and my cozy witchy mystery.
00:30:50
Speaker
Lindsay's like, ghosts and serial killers. And Carrie's like, spicy love. Spice demons.
00:31:02
Speaker

Personal Halloween Traditions

00:31:20
Speaker
Halloween traditions that you used to do or still do?
00:31:26
Speaker
Lindsay, what about you? I literally just try to watch as many scary movies as possible. Yeah. And eat as much candy as possible. There you go. That's where at. Definitely.
00:31:36
Speaker
What about you, Crystal? Halloween is one of my younger sister's birthdays. So for years and years, we had Halloween birthday party happening. Now that we're all grown.
00:31:49
Speaker
ah not so much anymore. She still has a massive party, but I'm at home with Henry. And usually after he goes to bed, my best friend comes over and we watch over the garden wall and eat all the candy that I didn't give out because I kept the light off and closed the curtains.
00:32:03
Speaker
There you go. There you go. Eat all the candy for yourself. All the candy. Love it. I don't really, don't think we really have any traditions that,
00:32:15
Speaker
Yeah, we don't really have many traditions or anything. We did used to when we were younger. and we used to have like this like closed in, not really closed in front porch, just like a front porch that had that was like kind of big that had like a cover over it that we would close in with a tarp every year to pass out candy and we would make it into like a mini DIY haunted house.
00:32:44
Speaker
That's cool. That was like, it was just like the front porch and that was it. But we would like dress up in our costumes and like we would literally just cover it. Like we were known in that neighborhood covering it in that tarp.
00:32:59
Speaker
So it was like had walls and you would have to like come in to get to the candy and and we would have it all like smoked out and stuff like that and make it like really scary in there. That's cool. um And my sister would just have a time trying to scare people and follow people around and it was great. That's awesome.
00:33:19
Speaker
We would have so much fun. i think one year my dad, he would sit there. he always had like this cloak thing that was covering him. He would sit there with the candy pretending to be like a statue and people had to grab the candy and he would like be scaring them. we just like love scaring people. Love traumatizing children.
00:33:39
Speaker
do you guys have any like favorite costumes or anything that you've previously like dressed up as or anything like that feel like I do a witch all the time all the time but one year in high school I was Cindy Lauper because I found a sequin silver sequin dress at the thrift store and then one of those like satiny ah baseball jackets and I wore Chuck Taylors and I teased my hair out to no end i was I was so nerdy but I loved it
00:34:11
Speaker

00:35:05
Speaker
and my friend was like a Starbucks cup, which was pretty funny. I can't think of anything like too insane. I wish was more creative. I want to be more creative with my costumes because I always see people get so creative and really fun. I'm like, I want to be, I want to be that.
00:35:23
Speaker
want to be you, but I got nowhere to go. that seems like so much work. Yeah. I'd rather just eat the candy. But I love a theme. No, I love a theme. I love going somewhere and there's a theme and dressing up as that theme.
00:35:35
Speaker
Yes, I like that. that's So like, I mean, I'll dress up in a costume and it's like a Wednesday. you know like And it's not Halloween. It's freaking like April.
00:35:47
Speaker
like I don't care. like we like I've been going to a lot of concerts lately and they love a theme and we're dressing up for that theme and I'll do that any day. I don't care. There you go.
00:35:59
Speaker
um I recently went to ah Conan Gray's concert and the theme was pajamas. Let's dress up in our striped pajamas and you know have a time. Some people were in like little sailor costumes.
00:36:11
Speaker
I love a theme. So I'll dress up any day of the week. There's a local Comic Con that comes here like twice a year and they're doing the 20th anniversary for Twilight and they're going have some of the Twilight actors there.
00:36:28
Speaker
