so what So what if ketosis is our natural state? So what if our ancestors were starving most of the time? Why would we want to emulate that state?

Survival State vs. Optimal Health

Why do you want to emulate a state of survival and impending death? That is what being in ketosis is. That is what starving is. So why would you want to... um They did this not out of their own volition. They they had to do it.

So why would you want to emulate that state? why don't we Instead of trying to emulate what our ancestors did, right why don't we think about what is optimal for our physiology? How can we maintain our machinery in an optimal state as opposed to in a degenerative state?

Impact of Ketosis on the Body

which is what ketosis and fasting is at the end of the day because you are degenerating your body to turn yourself into glucose so that you can burn the glucose and then some of the fat of course is burned and then some of it becomes ketones but you will always continue to make ah glucose during even very deep ketosis.

So that's literally degenerating your lean tissue, your muscles, your bones, your joints, skin, organs, even parts of the brain, if it happens long ah on the lot you know for long enough time.

Ancient vs. Modern Health Practices

Why would we want to emulate that? Isn't that a little bit dumb? I think it's a little bit dumb.

Because if you want to emulate what our ancestors did why don't you? You know take a couple of rocks and start slamming them together to light up your barbecue, right? That's dumb. We have better technology, right? That's what people will say. We have better technology. Why don't you hunt your food with a spear?

Well, we have better technology nowadays. We have refrigeration. ah we We have the ability to order food to our home. So why would we advance ourselves in all these other ways? And then the most important piece of kit machinery that we have, our body, we would allow it to live in conditions that were way suboptimal 30,000 years ago. Why would we do that when we have the technology and the availability?

Why would we do that? So yeah, okay, whatever. ketosis Ketosis is our natural state. So you want to emulate a state of starvation, of lack.
