Speaker: Welcome to Awaken ADHD. I was diagnosed with ADHD at 44 years old. It was a surprise. It was overwhelming. And it forced me to reevaluate my whole life, past, present and future. And the thing that got me through is hearing stories and feeling connected to other individuals that it also faced the same challenges and tears and triumphs and overwhelm. It was the first time I felt really understood.
Speaker: Hi, I'm Jade and I'll be your host. I'm a counsellor, relationship therapist and ADHD coach. This podcast will be a place for ADHDers to share their journey of when they awaken to their own ADHD or maybe somebody they love. Sometimes it's a slow burn. Sometimes it's a massive shock. But it's always a pretty big journey. My hope is that through these stories you'll feel more connected.
Speaker: and maybe Awaken to ADHD within you so that you can, I guess, thrive, not just survive. If you'd like to share your Awaken ADHD story, please just reach out via my website AwakenADHD .com .au
Speaker: So let's just share some stories and insights and laughter, lots of laughter. And we'll probably get lost on tangents and then have to start stories all over again. But that's how we roll and we love it. So I look forward to building an empowered neurodiverse community with you. See you in episode one.
