Speaker: There's no right way to do it.

Speaker: Oh, we're going to get into it. What up, moms? My name is Candice, and I'm here with my best friend, Whitney. And this is the Mom Group Chat Podcast. Who she doesn't. We almost didn't make it here today.

Speaker: We? Nothing. Oh, sorry. Candice.

Speaker: You're right. i don't know. And when I tell you what I was doing, you're going to be like, the fuck? Okay. couple of things. Literally, the cleaners were at my house, so I had to be like out and about this morning. So I went to a coffee shop and worked. I just got home like 30 minutes ago-ish. And my nails have been driving me nuts, but I've been trying to like give them a break. But I stopped at Walgreens and like got some nail things to like paint my own nails and like do my own whatever. I also...

Speaker: is I also have fallen down as I do every September. I i have fallen down a nine 11 hole. Yeah. I can't help it. Like I, I actually was like asking chat GPT earlier about like, if this is a common thing with millennials and it seems like it is because it was just like, um, a pinnacle event in our lives that we all have like a collective obsession slash like fascination with nine 11. And every September my Tik TOK is like, Oh, hello.

Speaker: We're back with more footage, more stories, stuff you've seen, but you want to see again. So anyways, I got home and I turned on a 9-11 documentary and I was painting my nails like, you do do like literally la la la. I have no worries. I have no, even though like,

Speaker: vi or even though Whitney and I have literally had this recording planned for days. um just And we talked about it this morning. No, literally this morning. and And then i my phone died and my nails were wet. So that's why I didn't plug it in because my nails were wet and I couldn't like, you know, and I plug in my phone and literally Whitney's calling me. She's like, you're dead.

Speaker: Are you alive? Um, yeah, from my side of things, my head went straight to murder, like 100%. Um, Candace is gone. I need to book my plane ticket and save her. Like it was because I'm sitting here and I'm like, I'm not going to be the psycho.

Speaker: I'm not going to text her. I'm going to give her some time. And then I started to get in my head about it. And then I texted her and it was blue and we share location so I could see she was home. the The text went green.

Speaker: And I was like, someone took her phone. And location was gone. So then I start calling straight to voicemail. I was like, oh my God, my nightmare is happening right now. And then I called again and it went through the second time and I was like,

Speaker: Oh, thank God you're alive. oh my God. I'm so sorry. i feel like such a dingleberry. I'm like, d I'm such a mom. that That's where my head went immediately. But well, that is ok like, it's really unlike me to do all of that for sure.

Speaker: um but can I like circle back to so say, I get why you got lost in the nine 11 stuff? Because I agree. I think it is quite fascinating for our entire generation and anyone that went through it, that for some reason,

Speaker: We, the parents and adults around us at the time made such a big deal of what was happening that we all remember the day that it happened. Oh, it is the most vivid day of my childhood memory. Like I could tell you in my head.

Speaker: i could tell you everything. I could tell you that I was at PE in in fifth grade and they brought us home from, we walked in from PE into the classroom and it was like, was on TV. it was, I could tell you everything about that day. And also it was interesting to be in Tampa because the president who was in Sarasota And he was and because of McDill, they like brought him to McDill. So like Tampa was like kind of on the radar of like could possibly be targeted because the president was here. So it was just like chaotic.

Speaker: I mean, duh, like compared to what everyone was living in New York City, like obviously like this, everything was fine here. But it was just such a crazy day. And I remember like my mom and dad like sitting on their bed in their in their room that night, like watching the footage. And I remember my dad like had tears like.

Speaker: I don't remember my parents' reaction. Like that is kind of fallen for me. But I can picture my elementary school because we were in fifth grade.

Speaker: And I was like in um like a ah math class. But we had like a a special teacher came to teach us like it was like some crazy fucking math class, like way beyond my speed. But she was in there. And my teacher came running in and flipped on the TV, which, you know, was yeah a tiny little box up in the corner. That's exactly how ours was. And turned it on.

Speaker: and I remember immediately like was like, I have to go call my mom because we were leaving for Florida the next day like to go on a plane. And I walked up to like the administrative office because the only phone was like in there. And I had to like get it off the wall and dial. And I was like, Mom.

Speaker: I'm not getting on that plane tomorrow. And she's like, oh, things, we're not going anywhere. She's like, trip canceled. And I was like. I was literally going to say, like, do you, what do you, you're not getting on, you didn't go on that trip. But had, I, like when I was little, had a crazy fear of flying. I had, not to say like, that I was like thinking the future. had this feeling for every single flight I went on as a child. I had a bad feeling about this flight. And,

Speaker: It got canceled and I felt like relief, I remember. and But I don't remember anything like after that But that was very vivid memory for me. who man, I don't know. It's just like every year this comes around, this like wave of like fascination and obsession. And obviously not in a like loving way in a like, I just can't believe that that happened way. And like, I just, it's, I think there's also sense, especially in these documentaries at the end of these documentaries where they talk about the America that came together after this and how truly we were more united than ever. Like I definitely have a longing for that because in today's world, like we're so like fragmented and like there's sides and blah, I hate all of that. And there's a part of me that watches these documentaries and I'm like,

Speaker: My God, we used to like all be united. yeah I don't know. It was just... Anyway, so i got I got lost in the sauce. I lost track of time.

Speaker: but Don't blame you. I'm very much there with you. I remember when it was like the 20-year, which was... Not that long ago. Today's the 25th year. It's the 25th anniversary. I was going to say in 2021, I remember when like all the new documentaries came out of like where people are today that have family members that had like passed and like we're telling the stories. And I remember when that surfaced and it was...

Speaker: crazy. I don't know. ah It's so wild. I saw in my in my deep dive last night, there was so much. i There's like still new information coming out, which is so crazy. Did you know that still to this day in 2026, they are still they are still going through fragments of remains of people and identifying missing people still to this day. How?

Speaker: like Did they just, like, remove it and then... Uh-huh. They had over, like, i I don't remember the exact number, but i it it was, like, over 2,000 fragments of human remains because as things fell, obviously, like, I know it's awful to say, but, like, they were literally, like...

Speaker: into dust basically yeah and there was no almost no way to like uh identify people other than like like anyone who had a missing person they asked that they like submitted dental records and like anything they could because they are like still going through fragments of remains of people and like trying to match them with records of like anything they have like there's still people who are like i they were lost in 9-11 but i have no i've got no confirmation is so wild that's yeah um and they were saying like they were all constantly looking for things like wedding rings or tattoos or anything that would give them any info it's just crazy

Speaker: It's crazy. Plus, when I lived in New York City, like, obviously, like, once you live in new York City and then you live through a couple 9-11s there, like, it definitely is, like, a weird – there's, like, a – there's an air of weirdness. I don't know. Like, in the air there. you know in in like, a – again, like can be in a special way, like of like the city, you know, NYC strong kind of way, but to go down to the like ground zero and not meet museum. If you have never been to the nine 11 museum in New

Speaker: uh ground zero like you have to go it is one of the most well done museums it is so fucking sad you will bawl your eyes out but it is so good and i love that museum and you took me i don't know man i know i did i feel i like i probably forced you you were probably like i don't really want to feel these things no i was very much into it i i feel like not to like compare, but it's like adjacent to like Holocaust stuff. Like it's so much like you cannot believe this has happened, but that's why like historians are very much obsessed with like World War II and the study of it.

Speaker: So when I was talking to Chad JBT asking about like if millennials are like abnormally obsessed, they compared it to World War II and like the older generation and like how you were always hearing your grandparents talk about like World War II or whatever, like this is our world war two. Like we're going to talk about it. We're going to be 80 and we're going to be like, I lived through this, you know, it's so funny. We were just doing that voice in the episode that came out this week of the, ah yeah ah the back in my day, like in my day I was in fifth grade. Yeah.

Speaker: So any that's what I was doing this morning. You know, what's funny is that was a real, um, like scary thing in my due date group because we were September due date group and everyone was Oh my God, please don't be born on nine 11. And everyone was like to that generation. It's not as big of a deal, but to us as parents were all like, please, please, please. No, no, no. Like, oh, God, because you just don't want to associate it the same day. But even when people say it today, I'm kind of like, o cringe a little.

Speaker: I know. I would also not want a 9-11 baby. just like I know. You can't help it. The juju. i would i would be sageaging the I would be saging the delivery room. like You really can't help it. And like like I said, luckily for our babies,

Speaker: It doesn't matter. i know. It really doesn't matter as much. It only matters when you're telling their parent and you're were like, Ooh, that's tough. but But for all their little friends, they don't, they don't mind. It's okay. Yeah.

Speaker: Yeah. Sorry. Sorry, everybody. If they. Oh, well. Oh, well. Well, I'm sure I have many ah documentaries ahead of me in the next couple of days, you know.

Speaker: I always get stuck on that one. I don't even want to bring it up, but it's fascinating. Truly. I know it really is. It really is.

Speaker: Um, well, what's new? Sorry for keeping you hanging. Oh, thanks for keeping me waiting. ah Nothing. I am going on my trip and I am packed, ready to go. ah Just waiting at this point. I am so excited. Y'all.

Speaker: Okay. Think of Nantucket like Disney World. you have it is all about like reservations what rides you can get on what lightning passes nantucket is like that with reservations certain restaurants have certain days and times they release dates that you can go same thing with like right Yeah, whatever. If it's like a well-known restaurant.

Speaker: We got the hardest to get ticket yeah in reservations today. And I'm so thrilled. They released it a week in advance at 9 a.m. m Central, 10 a.m. m Eastern.

Speaker: We fucking got it. And I am so excited. We've never been able to go. Oh my God. What is it? Shout it out. It's called Nautilus. Yeah, it's called Nautilus. And it is literally the hardest restaurant to get into. and we this will be our sixth time to Nantucket. And we've never been able to go. So I'm like, I'm so excited. they were The reservations were gone in one minute, like less than a minute. They were gone in 30 seconds.

Speaker: Okay. Is this like a place you take kids or is this like date night you and Chris? Yeah. I booked the babysitter a long time ago for okay for this date in in an in anticipation for us getting this. Like me and Chris were refreshing. We were both like ding ding ding ding. And I had my mom book a backup location. So we were like ready to go. Like the second probably hardest restaurant to get into. yeah But we got both. And so I was like, mom, cancel yours, baby, because we got the one we wanted. And it's going to be me, my dad, and um' Chris. Oh, my God. I'm so jealous. I've never been. Everyone just raves about it. and so and Is it like seafood? Nautilus seems like it. Yeah, seafood, but I think it has like an Asian persuasion to it, which is delish. Yeah, so so pumped. um And we're obviously going to go to the Graydon House before for cocktails. Of course.

Speaker: My favorite place. Graydon's namesake. exactly. so we're going to go there, and then this babysitter has been... and awesome like she was like yep good to go for that time stay out as long as you need de--dada so I'm excited um we're ready for you so you're these are the couple of days leading until your um vacation have you and Chris had your annual fight yet before you leave um no we will we will

Speaker: Because it's not vacation until you guys have a ah fight and then... Oh, I'm sure we'll fight Friday slash Saturday because my parents are like heavily leaning on us for travel. So we basically have four kids. Right. um And I feel I fear that that is stressing me out the most is my parents anxiety about travel. um And they mean well, but they have not flown since the last time we went to Nantucket.

Speaker: They have been scared to fly because of the horrible experience we've had. We had on the way home. Really? what do I know this?

Speaker: I mean, it's it's just one of those fucking ripple effects that happens where we like got to D.C., but we missed our flight to Nashville. So they rerouted us to Chicago and then we got stuck in Chicago for like overnight.

Speaker: So one thing about Chicago, you're going to get fucked in Chicago. Okay. Sorry to all of our Chicago listeners, but every time I've had a connection in Chicago, I've i've gotten royally screwed.

Speaker: But it's been one of those where you like wait on the tarmac for. ah it was like wait on the tarmac in D.C. for two hours to finally go to Chicago. And then we got to Chicago to like fly us to Nashville. And we waited on the tarmac for three hours there. So it was 2 a.m. when we got off and they rebooked us for 6 a.m. m flight.

Speaker: So it was just nightmarish. And I had Graydon with me. He was 10 months old. Like my all the bottles and stuff were gone. I didn't have shit.

Speaker: Yeah. It was a nightmare. I mean, it was. I was going to say, no that's like us when we came back from Paris. Remember I was begging women in the airport for formula. It was yeah awful. It was awful.

Speaker: And I'm not going to lie. Nantucket's hard to get in yeah hard to get out. Like I've had probably more, like all like my travel, I would say there has never been easy. I've had issues multiple times trying to get there. It's just hard to get to.

Speaker: That's so funny. So like clearly, like, and it's still worth it.

Speaker: Nothing's stopping me. Wow. Because like, I feel like that would maybe affect... my how I how much I love the place it comes with the territory like yeah I guess it's just like you have to manage your expectations the weather is just it's up north like the ocean is crazy like I've had ferries be delayed um I've had ferries canceled like it's just it is what it is it's an island i don't know it Yeah. So we'll see. I here I am like probably jinxing it.

Speaker: It's going to be great. We're to have great juju. It's good. I just have told my parents, I'm like, let's just go into this with an open mind. Like we're going for a full ass week. Like we've never gotten to be there that long. Like it'll be fine.

Speaker: And then we've decided to fly out of Providence so we can see my besties. Oh, exciting. So we're going to spend the night in Providence Saturday and go eat at Corey and Jane's house. And I can't wait. That's probably going to be our best fucking meal the whole week.

Speaker: And let our kids play. And then we'll leave Sunday. my gosh. A dream. ah I can't wait. I'm so excited for you. i can't wait to see all of the content, all of your outfits.

Speaker: You know, i'm our i like I always like post on stories anyway. who ramped up. Yeah, time for sure. Times two. For sure. And I want to see a nice big dump afterwards, you know?

Speaker: I'll take a dump. I'll do it. Oh my god, that's funny. my last trip of the year. And then like Chris, like everyone's like warned me also with my kids that have kids in, or my friends that have kids in kindergarten, they were like, dude, book for a fall break right now because everything's gone.

Speaker: Like you have to like, which is going to be next October. I know.

Speaker: Do I come to Tampa? What we do? yeah Let's, let's do Anna Maria trip. whoa and get an anna maria house oh wait please this actually could be such a good idea of like hopefully they match up in a way where because what if they don't that's gonna be an issue i'll skip it oh but we'll skip school okay i want this to happen more this means more to me

Speaker: you're a Your school sounds strict. I don't know. Have I told you that Alice has asked multiple times, why are there so many rules? I'm sure. I'm like, girl's name. She is me. am her. always, like, throughout my years at Catholic school, I feel like in the beginning I was kind of a goody two-shoes, but then I became a rule questioner.

Speaker: And I was like, the fuck is all these rules? Oh, funny to me because I've always known you as not following. right I know, but that's what I mean. That's like, I think I am. I'm just not. I don't like to follow rules. I am.

Speaker: But you used to be, you say like a teacher's pet. You love the teacher. Yeah, in the beginning, yeah. And Alice does love her teacher. She's now, she's changed her whole tune to she wants to be a teacher when she grows up. And it is wild what these kids pick up. she is...

Speaker: she is playing teacher in this house. Like I've never seen anyone play teacher. Literally she's lining Evie up to come to dinner in the, she's like, and she is so funny. She knows all the language. She goes, eyes on me, friends eyes on me.

Speaker: She's like tone and everything. She is like, and she's got Evie lining up. She's given her jobs. She's like threatening like a teacher. like,

Speaker: Alice's teach in this house like she's running this ship. Isn't it funny what they learn like Margot repeats all the time like if I'm like let's all be kind like if I'm trying to separate them from fighting and Margot immediately goes we don't hit friends and I'm like where'd you where'd that come from like she must get told that a lot. Uh-huh. And I'm like, um we weren't hitting, but now I'm worried that you are at school. so okay. yeah she I think she got her obsession for babies because in one of her classes, they had like bait like a baby time where they would feed the baby. but And so that's why like she really likes them is they had a dedicated time for a baby circle. It's just so funny.

Speaker: They had baby circle time. Yeah, they, the things they learn at school are a hoot. It is so funny. And like to watch her come in here with her little teacher tone and teacher sayings, it's crazy.

Speaker: It's crazy, crazy. love it. Well, um... I feel like funny switching the subject, but we did have a subject and it was basically

Speaker: the like invisible scoreboard or as Candace and I like to call the tit and tat between you and your husband. Mm-hmm. This is something that I really feel like we got to test and flex a little bit last week with Vinny having the week off of work. oh so Vinny had his week off before he started his new job and he did i like, like bravo, bravo, because he did a lot. He did drop offs every morning. He like ran errands for me in the middle of the day, but it is all stuff that i do on a normal basis. While i also do my full-time job and handling school shit and like the 17 other things I do. And it was a real eye opener to him of just how exhausting, like getting them out the door and like,

Speaker: School drop off And also just like How it's funny It like doesn't take that much time But it also does Like yeah when you factor in the like car driving And the blah blah all that Like it is a lot And it was just a good reminder to me That we got to do Freaky Friday more often. You know what I mean? Like we got to we got to get, we got to switch up roles a little more often in order for him to really, I don't know, but it just came to me, but we need to Freaky Friday so that he can feel and see and like actually do the things I do in order for him to understand and like truly appreciate.

Speaker: you know God, you are so funny. That was bravo to you on that analogy because LOL. Talk about millennials. That just came to me too. Wow. That was so...

Speaker: Oh my God, are you in marketing? Wow, that's great. um It's funny you say that because feel like I joke that the husbands are like the tit for tatters, but I so am myself. Like, I feel like we have such a balance now that like I'll do bath one night, he does bath one night. I take Margo to bed, Chris takes Graydon to bed.

Speaker: And if it gets off balance at all, we're both like, well pointing the fingers at each other. Like, Oh, you're like that. that Yeah. Spider-Man. Yeah.

Speaker: but but And I don't, this happened the other day. it was, um, it was over the weekend. i like, Oh my God, y'all. I was just exhausted. I had a crazy week with work and I fell asleep before nap time on saturday And I, like, could not – felt like Vinny. I couldn't, like, wake up to, like – Yeah. And knew my responsibility was put Margo down for nap.

Speaker: Mm-hmm. And it was, like, eating me alive knowing that Chris was going to, like, bug me about it. Yeah. And yeah and be like, no, you got to take Margo to bed. I'm taking Graydon. Like, I knew he was going to be, like – get up.

Speaker: Yeah. And he was eating me alive, but then he did do it. But then I felt hella guilty. I'm like, oh, he's going to hold this over my head and I'm going to have to do something for him. and I'm like, why is it like that?

Speaker: Yeah. I feel like both Vinny and I definitely have tit for tat moments, like for sure. i feel like it's, it's really common to do that. I am constantly having to remind myself that like, it's not a competition. It's not a competition. i it's fine. This is what I, this is, it's fine. Like I I'm having to give myself pep talks about it because I'll be honest, like there are so many moments where I'm like, I could really just throw

Speaker: throw like fuel on the fire and just let it burn. You know what I mean? Yeah. I don't know. I definitely think Vinny gets away with more than I do. Like not me tit for tatting right now, but like truly he... So I do the most and... oh ah Like I think that he would agree he does the most. Here's the... Here is where you do the most. hate it Oh, sorry. Yes. Yeah. It is no competent. Like, I think he would say that I do the most in regards to like kids and home. That being said, Vinny will do some like very big projects. Like, like for example, this weekend he was like building custom doors for the shed outside and like, and he'll do that. And then he'll use those against me that like, I did this this week. And I'm like,

Speaker: Yeah, but like, what about all the daily shit? You know what i mean? Sometimes it's like not equally weighted. Well, that's the glass ball and rubber ball. Like, yeah that's a rubber ball. And you are doing things that like keep the lights on.

Speaker: Yeah. Like there is no option for me to just not do some of the things I do, you know? Exactly. so it's like but also like But also, i truly believe at my core that the absolute like clear path to an unhappy marriage is like staying on the tit-for-tat road.

Speaker: Yeah. like you really die it too often yeah Like if i find myself in a tit for tat, like, uh, mindset and which I can get into that for a whole day. And it's like, suddenly I'm going through the whole day and I'm fucking keeping a list and checking it twice gonna find out who's naughty and nice okay and it's my husband he's naughty and i'm like didn't do this i did this you fell asleep i stayed up ah ah ah ah you know what i mean so yeah and it's those days where i will look at him and be like do i even love you anymore

Speaker: You know, which like I do. i love him so much. But it's like that tit and tat mindset is a it's a poison. It's a poison in my brain. i feel like I'm at a comedy show.

Speaker: Wow, it's all just flying out of me. Oh my God. Candice like didn't feel passionate about this and all of a sudden she does this. I didn't realize I had so much material. Oh, my God. You're so funny. um

Speaker: And, you know, i feel like it really gets like that when he makes plans to, like, go somewhere, which he really doesn't do very often at all.

Speaker: He should do it more. Don't listen to that, group Chris, but I'm just saying it to say it. um But he if if one of us goes out like that's when it becomes like for real tit or tat, he's like, oh, then I'm going to book something with me and my friends next week. And then I'm like, well, then I'm going to do it again. Not really. But I feel like that's when it gets like, oh, we're actually jealous yeah of you getting time away.

Speaker: um but yeah that's tough i don't ever really feel guilty about or mad that i have like morning i'm a chipper person in the morning i can handle it we have like i think my issue is like we've finally gotten a routine where grayden can get dressed himself i just do margo like we are a well-oiled machine in the morning And I don't know. I, if, if he is off, he'll pick them up.

Speaker: If not, um i get them. Like, it's just, it is what it is. Like that can't be helped. Yeah. Yeah. I think it's also interesting like we're in an interesting phase right now because like with Vinny starting this new job, we will be on like kind of a new schedule. He's not like driving two to three hours every day anymore. And like he probably can take Alice to school. We're finding a new balance, you know. So it's like, I feel like that's another thing that's interesting about this whole like scorecard thing is like, there's a lot of times where the scorecard is like constantly changing and you have to like, you almost like have to reevaluate the scorecard to be like, okay, like what's new on here? What's new? Like there's a whole new set of shit that I have to take care of now with Alice's school. Like that adds more to my score.

Speaker: And you better up your points, boy, because you ain't keeping up. Okay? um So, what I don't know. It's like we're having to reevaluate.

Speaker: i feel like it'll be, like, a good thing, though. Like, for... both of y'all mentally. Yeah. The fact that he can help, i i would just keep expectations as like what they are. And if he can help amazing. And if he can't like it is what it is, but yeah, the extra help is nice. Like I, that's how I kind of feel with Chris is like, Oh, he's off early. That's great. Like I don't have to like leave my house again, but I just try and keep my expectations. Like,

Speaker: low. Yeah. That's a good way to think about it. Cause I feel like right now it's like, if I, you're like, yay, he's going to help. And if he can't, as much as you think you're going to be like well, why'd you take this job? Yeah. yeah So true. good That's a good reminder.

Speaker: Thank you for that. Oh, you're welcome. um I feel like the only part where I used to really, really struggle is when Chris had his other job and I was like doing um drop off pickup and then he wasn't like home till six something. So then I felt like it turned into like resentment. ah Yeah.

Speaker: Oh my God. I've been like entertaining our baby for two hours and you come home and you're exhausted and you just want to sit. And I was like, I want to tap the F out right now.

Speaker: That was like really hard in the beginning. Like it it is not like that at all anymore. Like, Number one, the kids are a little more self-sufficient and they can play and or they like love to watch TV. So it doesn't feel as hard to watch them. Yeah. um And he has better hours. I'm like, man, that changed everything. Yeah.

Speaker: I thought you were going to say when you started that sentence of like back when it was most annoying. I thought you were going to talk about like Marathon, Iron Man That was hard on the weekends, but he like would wake up at four to do all that.

Speaker: Like that didn't really interrupt. Imagine, imagine that. I could never. Yeah. Um, I mean, I could, but I don't want to. um it was the weekends where he was like, I have to work out for two and a half hours. i was like, mar say you old I'm like, Oh my God.

Speaker: That was hard. I don't want to think about that. that's – yeah. Let's not go back there.

Speaker: but yeah, I don't know I know. I i still – like I know I still struggle a little bit with like – the scorecard competitive time thing when it comes to like working out and like time for yourself. It seems like he'll come home from work and I've been with the kids since three or something. And he'll be like, yeah, I think I'm going to swim. And he's like already got a suit on. He's like half out the door. and I'm like, oh,

Speaker: ah okay. I didn't know that, you know, and it it just, and I hate being caught off guard. like like, how do you fix that? i feel like that triggers me. It's like, Oh, I didn't know you had that in your head. I think just, yeah, maybe communication of like earlier in the day, like this is what I have in mind, what I want to do when I get home. Don't blindside me, bro.

Speaker: Yeah. Vinny and I are similar in that we both actually hate being blindsided. So that's something we've talked about at length in therapy of like just over communication and like ex managing expectations throughout the day. and like he knows and I know if I spring something on him or he's bringing something on me, like you're going to hear about it. Like we're to have a talk. We're going to have a reaction.

Speaker: Yeah. Like it's just inevitable because we both don't like that. So Which is good. Like, we are aligned that, like, we need to have a talk about it. But there were a lot of times, especially when he was training for his swimming, like, his swim, that he would just be like, oh, I'm going to go try and sneak in a swim really quick. And then he would do that, and it would be, like, two hours long. And I would – he would get home, and I would be on the couch, like, twitching, like, tweaking out, like – No, no. yeah That's so hard. um But yeah, I think it's all about communication. i think Chris, went like when I'm referencing back to when I fell asleep, which, wow, I couldn't believe I did that. He knew I had a stressful week. um And I think he was just like,

Speaker: she looks fucking tired and he gave it to me, which was so nice. That's so nice. That's nice. And that is true. Like, I think there is like a dance or a science or a magic, whatever you want to call it to like being able to read your partner and being like,

Speaker: you know what, I'm just going to give it to them today and like not say anything or not like not be tiff or tat. Like there's, you know, there's been times where Vinny's going through it and I'm like, it's just not even worth me bringing up. Like I can tell he's going through it. And I would hope that there would be times he would see that I'm dragging or not well. And he would be like,

Speaker: I got it. um' You know? So. And that's the beauty of marriage, my friends. It happens. I'm like dying. So I want everyone who feels either like the same way to send in like stories of stuff that's happened. And it you're like either like this is legit or ah lol we're so stupid that we fought over this because I love hearing those things. And it makes me feel better to hear other people's Honestly, that is a really good episode idea of like, what's the stupidest thing you and your husband have fought about and just talking about stupid fights. Oh my God. Wait. Yes. Send that to us because then we could like tell stories on the next episode yeah episode and that'd be really fun.

Speaker: That's really funny. Okay. We're going to do that. I'm going to post that on Instagram today and that'll be our next episode. It's like dumb and dumber fights. And i i feel like we've kind of done it. We're done. Wow. Dumb. We've done it where like, what's the funniest things your kids have said too. Like those are really cute and fun. but Did you see my Instagram story yesterday? How Alice told me my teeth were yellow.

Speaker: Yeah. Which is honestly rude. Like I actually, sorry, I have a mirror here. I don't think that my teeth are that yellow. They're not. She was trolling.

Speaker: She was trolling, but I did. i have started to get back on my whitening rinse slash, uh, like white strip game. So feel like I've always like liked my teeth, but can tell, Oh, thanks. I just feel like I can tell now that I like started drinking coffee in my twenties and now into my thirties, like they're turning.

Speaker: I just need to get back on it. do agree. I actually, and I've been, I've been housing coffee recently. It's actually a problem. Like I need to cool it. Oh, I mean, I drink some every day. i mean which i know, but I've been drinking like two to three cups a day, which like is not normal for me.

Speaker: I drink usually one and a half.

Speaker: That's not bad. No, one in the morning, and then I drink like a half a cup um in the afternoon. A little afternoon delight. Well, you know I crash it too because I wake up at yeah the butt crack.

Speaker: Yeah, I can't do that. I'm so tired by 2 o'clock. I'm like... I've been up since five. yeah You're a machine. i could I'm a freak. I don't know. i don't know. But yeah, send in your stories.

Speaker: I can't wait to read them. And if you don't mind sharing, just because we need a little LOL. Yeah, we do need an LOL episode soon. Although this one seems, it seems to have been an LOL episode for you. i've i've really hit it.

Speaker: Oh my God. I can't wait to listen to it back. Some good one-liners. You're funny. You're funny girl. Funny girl. All right. Well, love you so much. So sorry for keeping you waiting. i got to go back to my 9-11 documentary. Okay. Enjoy.

Speaker: Toodaloo. Bye. Thank you so much for being a part of our mom group chat. New episodes drop every Tuesday. And don't forget, the group chat is blowing up on our Instagram page. So make sure you're following along over there. All right. Got to go. My toddler just put something in her mouth.
