Travel Emergencies

Nothing special in the notes today! It's always important to plan ahead when you're going to be away from home and the security of your "normal life". Of course you can't plan for everything...but even acknowledging THAT can save you some heartache.

Unless you're an eternal daredevil who lives for the boost of adrenaline that comes with big adventure, you'll want to do some research before you take your trip. Knowing what emergency services are available at your destination, as well as where to go to get help, will go a long way toward making the unplanned events easier to manage.

Most major countries have embassies or government offices in many locations around the world, so it shouldn't be too difficult to find assistance when required. Your country's embassy will not incur any expenses on your behalf, but they can probably help you figure out what to do in your unique situation.
