Steve-O: I think you're mistaken. I think in the other world ah countries, they refer to it as soccer.

BARFINGLEON: I'll call it what want.

Steve-O: And here we refer to it as European football.

Robot: Not Canadian arena football?

Steve-O: We refer to that as hockey, Devin.

Robot: Oh, okay.

BARFINGLEON: Trying to question me, mate.

Robot: I don't like this gusto.

Steve-O: This just in...

Robot: Okay.

Steve-O: Princess Diana has died. She was found in a limousine after a riveting chase through the streets of Paris.

Robot: Oh, I have to protect the wife. I'm the bait keeper.

Steve-O: so Oh no, was that your boy Hobbes?

BARFINGLEON: What? he He left.

Robot: <unk> Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: He probably had something to do with her death. that was that That was bad. That was dark.

Robot: I'll say be sure, Steve.

Steve-O: ah Yeah.

Robot: Come on.

BARFINGLEON: have no idea.

Steve-O: was it it Was I talking to Hobbes?

Robot: No, Hobbs is the rock.

Steve-O: Yeah, that's what about. Was it Hobbes who did the kill?

Robot: He did the kill.

BARFINGLEON: Hobbs.

Steve-O: Shaw was talking on with us.

BARFINGLEON: but You know what it was He sounded disappointed, so maybe Hobbs didn't tell him he was doing it, and he did it without him.

Robot: i'm just sure I'm just so bloody sad.

Steve-O: You know, the thing is, we haven't seen all the Fast and the Furious films yet, so maybe...

Robot: You know, we might never.

BARFINGLEON: He killed Diana. That's why he's in jail.

Robot: Apparently, apparentlyrely he's not...

Steve-O: No, maybe Diana comes back in the next one.

Robot: he's not

BARFINGLEON: Oh, of course she does. You're absolutely right.

Steve-O: That's what they did with. ah What's his name? From ah Tokyo Drift.

Robot: Fuck.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah. What is his name?

Robot: What was his name?

BARFINGLEON: Steve, he's your favorite character.

Robot: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: He's not mine.

Robot: danny Benny? Benny Bengi? What the fuck was his name?

BARFINGLEON: is that that's You're getting close, Devin. That does sound familiar.

Robot: Tokyo Drift.

Steve-O: Han. You're talking about Han.

Robot: Han.

BARFINGLEON: ah and we were way off.

Robot: Yeah, nah, dude.

BARFINGLEON: Oh my god.

Robot: i was It was on the tip of my tongue.

BARFINGLEON: Whoops.

Steve-O: Not Benji. Benji.

Robot: Benji, dude.

BARFINGLEON: I don't

Robot: You know i think it was the accents that threw me made me think Benji.

BARFINGLEON: even think there is a Benji.

Robot: Oh, it's my mate Benji.

BARFINGLEON: His mama, Benji, he jerks me off.

Robot: It's my mate Benji.

fux mcclit: Benji. Benji.

Steve-O: Benji.

Robot: Hello, Benji.

BARFINGLEON: He jerks me off in the car.

Robot: No, he jobs me. already we read rooms is

BARFINGLEON: He jumps me off.

Robot: You absolute bellend.

Steve-O: Hey, here's a...

Robot: What?

Steve-O: Speaking about automated cars, has any of you driven in one of those automated taxis? What are they referred to? What are they called?

Robot: feel like the word i feel like the word you'd be looking for is ride, not drive attack suit.

BARFINGLEON: Oh, Johnny Caps.

Steve-O: Yeah, I guess you're not driving it, um but there's that like that one cab company.

BARFINGLEON: Hey, Steve, get in my car. It's me, your Johnny Cab.

Steve-O: way i'm thinking Waymo. But has anybody yeah been in one of these Waymos?

Robot: I have not.

BARFINGLEON: No way more for me. It sounds expensive.

Steve-O: Would you?

Robot: I mean, i wouldn i wouldn't I wouldn't be like, absolutely not, but I haven't.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, I'd give it a shot.

Robot: ah

BARFINGLEON: I would, I would, if it was in, I prefer it in the city and like not on the highway.

Steve-O: That's what they're saying. They're saying Waymo is actively testing sixth generation autonomous vehicles in Philadelphia as of 2026.

fux mcclit: um It's cooked, dude. That car's going be flipped over and in a couple days.

Robot: du i feel Yeah, man, I feel like that's the worst place to do that. Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: Someone's gonna steal it and rip the Johnny out of the Johnny cab.

Steve-O: They're going to do exactly what they did to Hitchbot.

fux mcclit: They're to do so That's going to be, what do you call it?

Robot: Yeah.

fux mcclit: The F-Shack.

BARFINGLEON: yeah

Steve-O: Oh, no.

fux mcclit: Dirty mike in the already Mike and the boys are going to take a shit in that thing.

Steve-O: Oh, man.

fux mcclit: They're going flip it over. Soup Kitchen?

BARFINGLEON: i Imagine if you're...

fux mcclit: what ah Is that what they call it

Steve-O: going to turn it into a soup kitchen.

BARFINGLEON: Imagine if you're...

Robot: yeah

fux mcclit: and Wait, didn't we just save that movie, didn't we, last last week?

Steve-O: did. We did save that.

BARFINGLEON: All the guys I did, was...

Steve-O: Mm-hmm.

fux mcclit: What a good movie.

BARFINGLEON: Um, that what if your Weibo showed up and you open the back door and it's a big shit like right on the seat.

fux mcclit: That movie is so fun.

fux mcclit: You gotta look at it like a proud dad at that point, you know?

BARFINGLEON: Please enter a car. You have 30 seconds before ride is canceled.

fux mcclit: Like, of course.

Steve-O: Waymo, there's a big shit back here.

BARFINGLEON: You have 20 seconds.

Steve-O: Wipe it away.

Robot: Just wipe it away, weirdo. Like, what's what? What?

BARFINGLEON: It's a big like it's human, but it's a lot. You know what I mean?

Steve-O: That's like somebody stayed in the the Johnny cab for a little bit.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, like it's like i've I don't have enough heroin and this is I'm taking a dump now because I haven't taken a shit in weeks.

Robot: They got stuck. and They got stuck in the Johnny Cab.

Robot: Johnny Cab's, um that's a movie.

Steve-O: You know what it is. Come on.

Robot: Total Recall, Total Recall.

BARFINGLEON: Devin, come on, Devin.

Steve-O: one dr Yeah, there you go.

BARFINGLEON: Come to me, Devin. Total Recall. Total Recall.

Robot: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: thank

Steve-O: Would you do an entire taxi next to a human shit or stick your face in someone's wad of chewing gum under a bench?

BARFINGLEON: Wait, sit in a taxi with like a shit that's in the taxi with me?

Robot: How long how long do do you have to be?

Steve-O: Like a ride to the airport.

Robot: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: Or stick my face into a wad of chewed gum is what you're...

Steve-O: Yeah.

Robot: but How long are you sticking your face in the gum?

Steve-O: You really got to get it in there.

Robot: I mean, like, what?

BARFINGLEON: like it like

Steve-O: Eyelashes need to kind of get intermingled with the gum.

Robot: 10 seconds?

BARFINGLEON: Like I'm actively being depressed like in a chair and my face is being pressed up against...

Steve-O: Yeah.

Robot: I would say i do the gum.

Robot: if If I can get in and out within, like, 30 seconds.

BARFINGLEON: I'd do the shit.

BARFINGLEON: I would do the shit. And I would open up the windows.

Robot: You do the shit?

BARFINGLEON: Yeah. Open up all the windows.

Robot: No, the windows are locked and it's steaming.

BARFINGLEON: Oh, shit,

Steve-O: Yeah, that's the thing.

Robot: It's fresh, dude.

Steve-O: The Waymo doesn't let you open the windows.

BARFINGLEON: Oh, boy.

Robot: Oh, man.

BARFINGLEON: This is like a cop car.

Robot: Is that true?

fux mcclit: Mm-hmm.

BARFINGLEON: This not a Waymo.

Robot: Yeah, it's it's the Freddy car. Yeah,

BARFINGLEON: Oh,

Steve-O: Buckle up, Chris! I took a big shit back here!

BARFINGLEON: no. This is my greatest nightmare.

Robot: yeah it's a dream demon fresh turd.

BARFINGLEON: How do you know my greatest? Oh, it's Freddy, of course.

Robot: And it looks like Freddy. You know, all this poop looks like a little Freddy's. yeah yeah We don't know who our dad is.

BARFINGLEON: I smell terrible, bitch.

Robot: somebody yes Yeah. And and it it's 35 minute trip to the airport.

BARFINGLEON: I mean, that sounds rad as shit.

Robot: All right. You know what? We have we have given you some. If you can get out.

BARFINGLEON: that was You gave me the out.

Robot: Okay. Hold on. If you could do a podcast. without fear of death with Freddy Krueger, would you do it?

BARFINGLEON: In a heartbeat.

Steve-O: Yes.

Robot: Right? It seems like it'd be a good time.

BARFINGLEON: In a fucking heartbeat.

Steve-O: Oh, you know, it would be dude.

BARFINGLEON: We would make so much goddamn money.

Steve-O: It would be like one of those podcasts that like old wrestlers do with just like those random people where it's like there's like the young person that like knows how to make the podcast. And then it's some wrestler from like the 70s or the eighty s or the ninety s

BARFINGLEON: There was a point in time where my agent was like, you really feel it anymore? and you know, honestly, i was, I wasn't.

Steve-O: Now, now, Freddie, now, now, Freddie, um, some people, Freddie, uh, some people say that, uh, some of your actions back in the day were a little bit too far.

Robot: He gets really, he starts getting emotional. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

fux mcclit: ah Friday, Friday, Friday.

Steve-O: How do you speak on these?

BARFINGLEON: mean, I was young. So, like, I wasn't thinking straight. And I was doing so many drugs. I don't know.

Steve-O: Um, I mean, you don't even know who your father was a hundred psychos. it could have been It could have been a cocktail of their seed.

BARFINGLEON: When I really think about it, when I call other people bitch, I'm really calling myself a bitch.

Robot: Mm-hmm.

Steve-O: Now, Freddy, I really need to bring up this moment. um There was a specific element in ah the Dream Warriors where you declared that, ah how sweet dark meat.

Steve-O: Are you a racist?

BARFINGLEON: don't want talk about that. I thought we agreed to not talk about that.

Steve-O: Well, I just, this is a question that many people have been asking for years, and if i

BARFINGLEON: No, no, no, no, bitch. I told you i didn't want to talk about that.

Steve-O: You called me a bitch.

BARFINGLEON: Sorry, it's an impulse.

Steve-O: You know I'm your cousin.

Robot: Whoa, he did his cousin old favorites.

BARFINGLEON: Move on Next question.

fux mcclit: Drama.

Steve-O: Dustin Kruger.

BARFINGLEON: Move on Next question.

Steve-O: Next question. um

Steve-O: What's the deal with the... What's the deal with five?

fux mcclit: What's the just seinfeld

BARFINGLEON: Well, that's a very interesting question.

Steve-O: Five.

BARFINGLEON: I'm glad brought that up

fux mcclit: the deal with shoelaces?

Steve-O: right

BARFINGLEON: you

Steve-O: Are we going to see Super Freddy any sooner?

BARFINGLEON: You know, hey, I've been working out. I've been taking those Xanfix.

Robot: There have been rumours over Freddy vs. Jason 2. Can you confirm?

fux mcclit: There have been rumors.

Steve-O: Can you remember?

BARFINGLEON: No, they haven't offered me enough yet.

fux mcclit: Rumors.

Robot: Can you confirm? Is that in the works?

BARFINGLEON: yeah

fux mcclit: have Rumors. Rumors.

Steve-O: Freddy, what's the deal with airline peanuts?

BARFINGLEON: Oh, okay, yeah, you walked me into a corner. You know what I said before. I ain't saying that again. right. And, you know, for the record, I love Mexican people.

Robot: Yeah, you know. All right.

fux mcclit: Yanna. yana

BARFINGLEON: That's it. He'd probably get... You know, he would probably get canceled, though.

Steve-O: I think Freddy would have been canceled. Yes.

BARFINGLEON: I mean, after after ah ah probably a three- or four-year run, because, you know, the world is upside down at this moment, so... But then when people come, they're sentenced. They're like, it's Freddy.

Steve-O: I tell you what, though.

BARFINGLEON: He's a pedophile. He's a pedophile.

Steve-O: Freddy Krueger. Well, isn't that like remake Krueger?

BARFINGLEON: I don't know, Steve.

Steve-O: Remake.

Robot: Where?

BARFINGLEON: You're splitting hairs.

Robot: What, the pedophile aspect?

Steve-O: I think that was that was remake Krueger.

BARFINGLEON: I think it was it was definitely more in the remake.

Robot: That was a remake.

BARFINGLEON: But I mean, you know.

Robot: Yeah, you're going to tell me, but listen, if there's one Freddy that I definitely think would have, I think it's Freddy. For sure.

BARFINGLEON: Totally. oh my God.

Steve-O: No, he would.

BARFINGLEON: Definitely. Not

Steve-O: No, no. Robert England, no.

fux mcclit: Nah.

Robot: No?

fux mcclit: Nah.

Steve-O: No. he just knew That was just a love of the game situation.

BARFINGLEON: him! No! Oh, my God.

fux mcclit: Nah, dog. Nah.

Robot: are

fux mcclit: Nah, my guy.

Steve-O: du dude Dude made a claw hand and he said, well I do work at the school. It was real. Like if he worked at an office park, that would have been, you know, he'd been going after middle-aged men and women.

Steve-O: So it's really just like probably just, you know, where he works.

fux mcclit: You're my guy.

Robot: but he wasn't.

Robot: I think there were too many innuendos he made that would protect him.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, he's more sexually charged than all the other ones.

Robot: Yeah, dude.

BARFINGLEON: I think he

Robot: Sorry, sorry. Steve, sorry to burst your bubble, but he's like, definitely.

BARFINGLEON: he has that sexual charisma that he's putting out towards children. You know i mean that's what mean? That's what I'm getting at. Because you could argue, Jason, there's a lot of sex in Friday the 13th movies, but that's only...

fux mcclit: In every horror movie from that time.

Steve-O: And he shuts it down.

BARFINGLEON: In everyone, but they're shutting it down.

Steve-O: He shuts it down.

BARFINGLEON: Freddy is like actively kind of embracing it. Like he likes that.

Steve-O: Is he?

BARFINGLEON: Well, he he likes fucking children as nurses.

Robot: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: he gets in He gets into it like he was a hot nurse.

Robot: And he was banging, he was banging that, in that Jason. What the fuck are we talking about, dude? How did we get here?

Steve-O: no I don't know. don't.

Robot: Like, I would went to like start, I went to add fuel to the fire and I was like, what am I doing, dude?

BARFINGLEON: I think Freddy does have more of a

Steve-O: I don't remember.

Steve-O: The thing is, because like...

BARFINGLEON: Because for fra if ah Jason is unfeeling.

fux mcclit: you

BARFINGLEON: He's kind of a monster. He's killing those children because they didn't save him. It's revenge. It's nothing to really with sex. Sex is only the reason why they didn't save him.

BARFINGLEON: In most of those movies.

Robot: yeah but in in that Jason flashback Freddie's banging one of the

BARFINGLEON: You're right. And in Freddy, is is is less it's way less and even implied. like it's I think it's more...

Robot: yeah and he's yeah

BARFINGLEON: blatant that he has a sexual being that you're absolutely right you're absolutely fucking right Steve that's a huge part of too and that's him as a character right

Steve-O: I'm just saying he's a sexual being for a repressed gay man from two.

Steve-O: That's like, that's, that's like when you rewatch that with that knowledge.

Robot: Would you say that he helped him on his journey?

BARFINGLEON: no

Steve-O: No, no,

Robot: Okay.

Robot: All right.

BARFINGLEON: It's made it worse, if anything.

Robot: He made it worse. You think he made him...

BARFINGLEON: i would imagine.

Robot: Wait, how...

Steve-O: The 80s were a different time.

Robot: Chris, explain how would he make it worse? Come on.

BARFINGLEON: Because instead of like coming out of the closet, he just turns into Freddy at the end. like That's not like helping.

Robot: Well, isn't that... Isn't that like, you know...

BARFINGLEON: The moment he accepts who he is is the moment he turns into Freddy.

Robot: That's under the surface.

Steve-O: like i mean Back in the 80s, though, it was a scarier time to come out of that closet.

BARFINGLEON: Freddy.

BARFINGLEON: I get it. No, no, no. Like, i get the metaphor, but that's not good for the main character, right? Like, it would hurt them more in the long run.

Robot: you i

fux mcclit: Thank you.

Steve-O: I mean, at the end of that movie, the main character does survive.

BARFINGLEON: Like...

BARFINGLEON: No! He's in the back of the bus with Freddy driving at the very end of that movie.

Steve-O: Freddy drives the bus, right?

BARFINGLEON: He's not gotten away at all. So...

Steve-O: But we don't see a death.

BARFINGLEON: We don't, but I mean...

Steve-O: It's implied. It's implied.

BARFINGLEON: Come on.

Steve-O: Because, like, Nancy gets in that Freddy car, but Nancy's fine in the third one, and then Nancy dies in the third one.

BARFINGLEON: He's toast.

BARFINGLEON: Nobody survives. Freddy. That ruthless. Sexual being for Freddy.

Robot: Okay, how...

Steve-O: Speaking of sexual repression, Super Mario Galaxy, the movie came out this week.

Robot: Thank you. thank you

fux mcclit: Lots of that in there.

BARFINGLEON: no set a lot of sex, huh?

Steve-O: I need to know because like I've been hearing a lot of things from a lot of people and I need the anti fanboy stamp on where this movie lands. John, Devin, you two saw it.

Steve-O: What's the word on the street from you two?

fux mcclit: Not great, Bob.

BARFINGLEON: Oh.

fux mcclit: Not great.

BARFINGLEON: Oh.

fux mcclit: If I want to quote Mad Men.

Robot: Yeah, it's ah to yeah it's ah to to quote myself from earlier before we start recording. This is what Chris Galanti said about the first movie for why he wouldn't see it.

Robot: Like, this is all the bad thing. The vapidness, the just...

BARFINGLEON: Oh. Gotcha. So you what you're saying is I've been vindicated. Gotcha. That's what I'm going to cross that off.

Robot: If if you just took your comments if we took your comments and applied to this movie, yes, you were still wrong.

fux mcclit: Not half vindicated, I would say.

BARFINGLEON: Okay. All right.

Robot: Because that first movie, there's a movie there. Especially if you if you put those two next to each other.

fux mcclit: Yeah, this movie is just like...

Robot: One's a movie and one is just images and things happening.

fux mcclit: I don't even know if I would like count this as a movie, you know?

Robot: It was... Yeah, it's...

fux mcclit: Like it just it didn't feel like a movie, you know?

Robot: Yeah, like nobody... And listen, I refuse to to adhere to the argument of like, it's a kids movie. It's like, no.

BARFINGLEON: That's such an easy out, isn't it?

Robot: I've seen so many kids movies that were great.

fux mcclit: Well, mean, you just saw Keno. You just saw Hoppers. and then And now this.

Steve-O: Hoppers.

Robot: did see offers. Yeah, yeah. like

fux mcclit: And Hoppers was good, right? like... right so like

Robot: Great. Yeah, great. Like this is just... things There's not a plot. Things are happening. you think they're going to lead somewhere and just nothing does.

Robot: You think there's an ounce to like, there's there's a shimmering hope to like make somebody a little bit more interesting and they just don't do it. And some of that I would argue might be Miyamoto.

fux mcclit: There's just like no, there's no stakes.

fux mcclit: I don't know, man. Like, I don't know if I would like, he's too old.

Robot: Okay. So like the, the scene with, okay. No, but I'm saying like, all right.

fux mcclit: don't know. I don't know if you, I don't know, man.

Robot: All right. the scene where The scene where Mario meets Fox McCloud for the first time, and you think he's going to hate him because he's like jealous, because seems like he's been flirty.

fux mcclit: Fucks McClint.

fux mcclit: Yeah, but he was like, oh, that's the coolest guy I've ever seen.

Robot: Dude, how much more interesting would it have been for everybody involved if he had a chip on his shoulder about Fox McCloud? Because it's like, oh, no, you actually do have feelings for Princess Peach.

fux mcclit: yeah it's just Yeah, it seems like there were no

Robot: And, like, let's fucking do something. Let's do something narrative.

fux mcclit: Yeah, there was no narrative. There was no structure to the story at all.

Robot: Yeah.

fux mcclit: Like, it just didn't...

Robot: What if Bowser really did feel like he changed and then, like, wanted to, like, what if we did do something like that?

fux mcclit: But that... It's just...

Robot: Like, no, not interested.

fux mcclit: There were some cool things in the movie that i won't that I will not spoil for Steve that I think Steve will will really enjoy.

Steve-O: I will see it at one point.

fux mcclit: Yeah, so i'm not I don't want to spoil any of the good things.

Robot: Honestly, I did like the Fox and Cloud stuff.

fux mcclit: Yeah, I mean, I'm going to count that as a spoiler, because but like you know like there's some other things that I won't say.

Robot: I did.

fux mcclit: But like there's there's some other things that that that that are like you know kind of love-lettered to gaming type things. What really kind of like um

fux mcclit: jorked my chain, Steve, is they have these really good, like extravagant, like instrumental score.

Robot: The score was good.

fux mcclit: Like, no, no, no. Yeah. It was good, but it's like, they fucking wasted them on just random shit in the movie. Like there was nothing, there was no like gusty garden galaxy.

Robot: again

fux mcclit: Like I felt more emotion hearing the the that part of the fucking end credits of the first movie than I did the two times that they played that that music in in this movie.

Steve-O: Oh.

fux mcclit: Because they're just random spots. Yeah, I don't know if the... Yeah, you might not have the emotional impact type stuff that I have with with these games, Devin, right? Because I'm a Mario guy.

fux mcclit: But like...

Robot: Yeah. Yeah.

fux mcclit: And then like, there's ah there's ah an area where they're playing New Doc City stuff.

Steve-O: oh Oh.

fux mcclit: And guess what, Steve? You're not in New Donk City. you're They're just playing the song.

Steve-O: What?

fux mcclit: Yeah, so it's like...

Steve-O: Oh.

fux mcclit: so it's like it It almost feels like it's insulting to to us because they're they're just shoehorning these things in there to be like, oh, like leon Leonardo DiCaprio meme.

fux mcclit: Oh, Leonardo DiCaprio meme. And like yeah, like that stuff's cool in moderation.

Robot: yeah

fux mcclit: Like Oreos, right? But like don't just like fucking pump your shit full of Oreos because then... Oreos aren't that good anymore. You know, like it's, so it's, they didn't pick the right spots for these things.

Steve-O: Right, exactly.

fux mcclit: And this is a non-spoiler to no Donkey Kong in this movie.

Robot: No.

fux mcclit: Fucking sucks.

Steve-O: Wow.

Robot: I didn't think he was going to in it, though, to be fair.

fux mcclit: Yeah. But you know, he wasn't in it at all. You know, like it was nothing.

Steve-O: Not even like a post-credit thing?

Robot: Yeah.

Steve-O: Not even like a little like teaser?

Robot: No.

fux mcclit: No, no dog.

Robot: Well, there's something, right

fux mcclit: This is the year of the, we're, we're coming off the coattails of the year of DK and you don't get, you even, there's,

Robot: yeah

Robot: Hey.

fux mcclit: Like they, I think they show him in some type of flashback thing, but it's not like he's talking or doing anything.

Robot: Yeah, no, it's just like a literal split second.

fux mcclit: It's just like, I don't know, dude, man.

Steve-O: i I've heard talk that they actually, while it costs them like a hundred million to make, that they actually like went out of their way to um do a lot of like outside, like, you know, contract hires and such.

fux mcclit: ah

Steve-O: And so like, maybe that was their way. So they were like, well, we don't need to pay like Seth Rogen

fux mcclit: they're doing the they're doing the team cherry hollow night thing but for a multi-million dollar ah production of a of a hollywood blockbuster yeah it's just so that's just so stupid

Robot: I mean... Yeah,

Robot: yeah it's just like... it was... um It's really unfulfilling, unfulfilling movie. It's just like...

fux mcclit: it's just like it's manufactured nostalgia like they're not they're not earning it you know they don't earn the nostalgia points from me in this movie

Steve-O: It's, you know, it hurts because it's like, while I enjoyed the first one, i i do think in comparison with the Sonic movies, they do pale.

Steve-O: Like that first one did pale.

fux mcclit: Yeah, here's here's a good comparison, Steve. Here's a good comparison. Remember in the first Sonic movie?

Steve-O: Hmm.

fux mcclit: They're like, they dropped like the like the little piano medley of Green Hill Zone.

Steve-O: Yes.

fux mcclit: But it's in ah it's in a really like like nice spot in the movie. Like, you know, it's like the cool down and like, you know, it's a perfect spot for for that type of song.

Steve-O: They chose their flourishes really well for them.

fux mcclit: Like, imagine they go full-blown Green Hill Zone in like a three-second shot of Sonic, like eating a pizza and not like, you know, like that, that's how, that's what the movie felt like to me, where it was like, they're just putting stuff in because they know people will recognize it and not necessarily like trying to earn moments, you know, like they're not trying to earn moments.

Robot: Yeah.

fux mcclit: Like, and I've no, I've no, like, I, I didn't really have, like, again, and going back to Sonic three, Devin, like I didn't, I don't have the emotional attachment to the shadow song that they played when they went fucking, when they, when they went shake and bake, but you can, you can feel it in the movie as ah as an observer of the movie.

Robot: Shadow. Me neither. No.

BARFINGLEON: Do you guys know that this...

fux mcclit: Like you could, you could feel that, that that was earned at that point. And like, you know, it's like, oh yeah, I get it. Like, like people are going crazy because of this. They earned, they earned that score drop.

BARFINGLEON: This screenplay was was halted because of the writer's strike.

fux mcclit: And with this, it's just like, you

Steve-O: The Mario movie?

fux mcclit: know, not an excuse.

BARFINGLEON: Yes.

fux mcclit: It's a fucking Mario movie, dude. Like it's really not that hard.

BARFINGLEON: That's what I'm reading.

Robot: Listen, I'll be honest.

fux mcclit: not that tough, Chris.

Robot: There's a really nasty review.

fux mcclit: It's not that deep.

Robot: There's a really nasty review that says like this this is written by AI.

fux mcclit: It is worse than AI. It is worse than AI.

Robot: and But like I actually think it's...

fux mcclit: I agree with The Guardian or whoever put that out.

BARFINGLEON: Oh my God.

Robot: I actually like would believe it.

BARFINGLEON: Really?

Robot: like I was like, wow, this is so...

BARFINGLEON: That's bold.

fux mcclit: No, because you could tell it's not AI because it's like an AI probably would have made better decisions for some of the story drops and i hate saying that i fucking hate saying that out loud with my own voice but like it's like you could tell that somebody was incompetent in one creating a movie and two like earning nostalgia points from from like gamers and and people that

Robot: would have made a fucking plot. It would have made something cohesive.

BARFINGLEON: it might It might be a situation where where everybody kind of put their foot, they took their foot off the gas because they knew this was going to make money regardless.

Robot: Yeah, like outside of visuals and like...

Robot: don't know. I mean, it and it did, right? But it's just like...

BARFINGLEON: You know?

fux mcclit: No, but then but that's that's the thing, Chris. It's not that. It's like they went – they've, like, full-blown, like, injected loads of the T-virus into a frog because they thought that was the right thing to do.

fux mcclit: You know? Like, they thought they were doing something good.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah.

fux mcclit: So it's almost worse than – it's almost worse than – no, you can tell, like, just watching the movie, like, that they're just trying to make this fucking Folgers coffee commercial the whole time, and they're trying to make it meaningful, and it's just not.

BARFINGLEON: You think so?

fux mcclit: You know?

Steve-O: Are they chalk filling this movie with just like nonstop Easter eggs and inappropriate times because of like modern audiences just not having an attention span?

fux mcclit: Like –

fux mcclit: Yeah, i think i think

fux mcclit: i think that's what it is. like and There's that, and like but it's like they hired a consultant.

Robot: It does feel like if you're...

fux mcclit: It's like they hired a consultant of YouTube reels, and it's like, oh, how do we keep people scrolling through?

Steve-O: yeah.

fux mcclit: How do we keep children scrolling through you know Instagram reels all day of fucking brain rot? like This is the pace that you have to go at to do it.

Robot: Yeah. It feels like if you went to the theater, yeah.

fux mcclit: Also, how do we make it feel? How do we make this like, how do we also like, cause that, that's one dimension of it is like the pacing is like fucking high octane, just absolute nonsense the whole time.

fux mcclit: But also the other dimension is like, oh, how do we like fit fucking 40 years of, of Mario nostalgia and the fucking one movie? And it's just, it's too much, you know, like it's, it's almost like, you know, it's, you know what it, you know, it's like, It's the fucking last episode of Angel.

Steve-O: Right.

fux mcclit: That's what it is.

Steve-O: Oh, okay.

fux mcclit: Where it's like, oh, this is it. But the thing is, it's like, it's not like they got canceled.

Steve-O: We need to put everything in here.

fux mcclit: It's like, oh, you can still make more money, but let's just fucking go balls to the wall for no fucking reason at all. Because, you know, but I don't know. Because because that's that's the one thing, Chris. Like, if the movie was about nothing at all, or if it was good, you know, it was going to make,

fux mcclit: what ah what did it make this weekend? 387 million or some bullshit, but I think that's what I read.

Robot: Yeah, some insane number. Yeah.

fux mcclit: Something insane. Like, they're gonna make a billion dollars anyway, so, like, what like as an observer, or as ah as ah as the as the customer, like, I would like them to see, oh, yeah, we're gonna make a million dollars anyway, like, let's make a good movie.

fux mcclit: Fuck it.

BARFINGLEON: Oh, no, no, that's never the case.

fux mcclit: You know? Like, and no and that and that's why and that's why that's why it feels that's why it feels insulting

Steve-O: That's out the window, right?

fux mcclit: to watch this movie because like They don't have to fucking... they didn't have to do that much. the The first movie, you know, it was good. Like, it like i enjoyed it quite a bit.

fux mcclit: Like, the first movie was really good because they, you know, they it's charming.

Robot: Yeah, it's like charming and there's...

fux mcclit: they They actually have a fucking story. Like, you see Mario's fucking Italian family.

Robot: There's a story, yeah.

fux mcclit: You know, like, there's there's, like, stuff in there. Like, there's, like, fucking good shit in there. There's movie stuff in there. This is just, like... It's just brain rot. Like, that's what it is. It's just endless brain rot.

fux mcclit: And it's...

Steve-O: Oh, man.

BARFINGLEON: That's shame.

fux mcclit: Yeah, I'm sorry, Steve. i

Steve-O: they got the They got the Roblox rate brain rot going.

Robot: No, it's it's truly like...

fux mcclit: Yeah, that's what it is.

Robot: It's like, what what is this?

BARFINGLEON: jane That's

Robot: Like Rotten Tomatoes has it as like a 48. Dude, this is like a 12.

fux mcclit: It's lower. Yeah, it's lower. Yeah.

Robot: Yeah, this should be like a fucking 12.

fux mcclit: It should be lower.

Robot: twelve Like this is really, really bad.

fux mcclit: And you you you should have seen the look on my fucking face of of absolute, like, unadulterated, unabridged disgust. Disgust.

fux mcclit: when people clapped at the end of this movie.

Robot: yeah

fux mcclit: i was like, are you fucking serious, bro?

Steve-O: And

Robot: Yeah, for what?

BARFINGLEON: um ah John, what did Owen think?

fux mcclit: Yeah, what are you clapping for? ums

BARFINGLEON: I'll just have you, Owen.

fux mcclit: ah he loved it. It's a movie for five-year-olds.

Robot: Yeah.

fux mcclit: But the thing is, it's like, no, no.

BARFINGLEON: i theabo

fux mcclit: But like no but but that's the thing, though. like you can like this is the this is what i try This is why I try to put my Rudy jersey down for Toy Story 4 sometimes. Because, like yeah, it didn't need it didn't need to be made.

fux mcclit: it was going to make a billion dollars anyway. But there's a story there. Like, it's still like ah ah like a good movie to watch, you know?

Robot: They tried.

Steve-O: It's got heart.

Robot: yeah

Steve-O: It's got heart.

fux mcclit: It's not hard. And like, you know it's you know, it's got Forky in it. Like, they were still able to introduce these new characters that are interesting and cool that kids love and that I that i find entertaining too, that i' that i that I'm laughing at

BARFINGLEON: Refreshing and nostalgic at the same time.

fux mcclit: Yeah, like, it's like, there's a way to do it. Like, the fucking formula is already there. And you have all the IPs. Like, it's it's so insulting, dude. playing fucking New Donk City music in a fucking casino.

BARFINGLEON: Well, I hate to say it, but Illumination is is known for for this too.

fux mcclit: Spoilers.

Steve-O: That's disgusting.

fux mcclit: It's disgusting, Steve. I'm sorry, but like, like I have to get this off my chest.

BARFINGLEON: ah lo this is This is Illumination's MO.

fux mcclit: And the fact that Vicious, the fact that Vicious has the fucking, like, has the fucking balls to say that that that it was better than the first movie is just absolutely disgusting to me.

Robot: The golf.

fux mcclit: Because it's it's not even a movie. This wasn't even a movie, dude.

Robot: Yeah, like, if you...

fux mcclit: AI was better.

Robot: This movie's great.

fux mcclit: ChatGPT, Mario Galaxy would be better.

Robot: Like, you could literally have seen this movie and your kids are running up and down the aisles nonstop. And, like, you wouldn't... Nothing would be lost.

fux mcclit: Yeah.

Robot: Like, it's not like, oh, that's really...

fux mcclit: There's, like, dude, like, and again, like, there's the, there's the, they, they earn, they earn the moments in the first movie, like, you know, when, at the end, you know, we, we joke about,

Robot: ah couldn't follow anything. Yeah, it's it's so...

Robot: super Yeah, the star...

fux mcclit: The star in, like, Luigi, like, you know, you know i'm I'm getting a little emotional talking about that because, like, that stuff's cool. Like, you know, like... Like, Mario, like, feeling like a failure.

fux mcclit: They have a little bit of that in this movie, just a tad. Like, I think somebody says something to him about... there is it but There was something that almost branched into something where it was, like, you know, where they're talking...

Robot: Honestly, John, I don't even know why you're trying to avoid spoilers. There's nothing too spoiled, dude.

fux mcclit: Yeah, there's nothing to spoil.

Robot: No.

fux mcclit: Yeah. No, no, but there's there's a couple there's there's a couple Easter eggs that that Steve might enjoy if he if he if he doesn't know about them.

BARFINGLEON: i I mean, well, Steve, like, Steve, like.

fux mcclit: and And there are things that I enjoyed about the movie.

Steve-O: here's Here's the question. Here's here's my big question. At any point, does Wario show up?

Robot: no

fux mcclit: No.

Steve-O: Then what the fuck are we even doing?

BARFINGLEON: Wow.

fux mcclit: Yo, does show up?

BARFINGLEON: What are we doing? What are we doing?

fux mcclit: Wart? ah Wart's cool. I actually like war

Steve-O: I knew Wart was in it because they showed the casting for Wart.

fux mcclit: Ward is actually, that's actually a flex. It's a flex, and I'm glad they put him in there. And it's, I think Luis Guzman, is his voice, is pretty dope.

Steve-O: Louise Guzman, yeah.

Robot: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Steve-O: Yeah.

Robot: Which is admittedly good casting. It is...

fux mcclit: Yeah, but like, the dude, it's just like, and it's not even like, like the first the first scene of Mario and Luigi is that the Tustarina scene, where they're riding the motorcycles, aura farming and in the desert, and that's fucking dope, and it's cool.

Robot: Yeah.

fux mcclit: And then, after they find Yoshi, it's just like, They kind of just like, to just they're just like adding random shit, random shit after random shit after random shit.

Robot: Yeah, Yoshi's just a part of the group.

fux mcclit: And it's just like, but it's just like, I don't know. I can't, I don't know it's a movie that just put on for a bunch of fucking toddlers to run around, not paying attention to it.

Robot: Yeah.

fux mcclit: Like that's all it was. And you know what? You know what is cool though, Chris? It was Owen's first time at IMAX and now he's like obsessed with IMAX.

BARFINGLEON: Oh, dude.

Robot: Oh, cool.

Steve-O: you go.

fux mcclit: It was locked in.

Robot: You know what?

Steve-O: Got that big screen.

Robot: Silver linings, right?

BARFINGLEON: That blew his fucking mind, dude.

Robot: Yeah.

fux mcclit: He was locked in.

BARFINGLEON: That probably blew his fucking mind.

fux mcclit: But you know what? Now, like, I can't wait to watch Toy Story 5 now. Like, you know, like, watching a movie like that, like, of that level with an actual plot that might actually be, like, a good, like, like, you know, you know, like, imagine that Toy Story, like, Devin, imagine Toy Story 3 was just a nonstop montage of, like, flashbacks and nostalgia forming.

Steve-O: A movie with a plot?

Robot: Yeah.

Steve-O: A premise?

Steve-O: Mm-hmm.

Robot: Jesus.

fux mcclit: Like, it's...

Robot: I can't even imagine.

fux mcclit: And not having a story...

Robot: Listen, and this might bite me. This might bite me in the ass, but I can't even imagine Pixar putting something like this out.

fux mcclit: Yeah, I don't think they would. Because even, like...

Robot: It's like i they would I'd rather them burn the studio down.

fux mcclit: um

fux mcclit: Because even ah Elio was like that was still a watchable movie with ah with an actually kind of semi-interesting plot, even though they fucking destroyed what the original product was.

Robot: Yeah, this truly was like, we have IP, we don't need anything else.

fux mcclit: Yeah, so all this talk about, like, who's king of what is Oh, yeah, because we talked about this last week.

Robot: Yeah, yeah.

fux mcclit: Like, who's king of fucking kids' movies? Yeah. Even Pixar, the lowest of the low Pixar movies, like, like is, like, light years ahead of this. You know?

fux mcclit: Like, I just can't.

Steve-O: it's like like what Chris was saying with like illumination that's like I can't think of like a single illumination movie where I'm like wow that's their banger that's the one that like put them out there

fux mcclit: I can't.

BARFINGLEON: It's

BARFINGLEON: their MO. Almost specifically their sequels too. like It seems like as their IPs go on, they just water them down like more and more.

BARFINGLEON: like

Steve-O: Like Despicable Me was fun. And then they're like, wow, let's beat this minions thing to death.

BARFINGLEON: Right.

Robot: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: And it's and it's just you see like the corporatization of everything. Right?

Steve-O: And it's like, I see the other like animated studios. Those movies are getting more mature, more, more more sophisticated in their storytelling, like the tales they want to tell.

Robot: like And I appreciate that, like, yeah, sometimes you just need a studio just for something for, like, children.

Steve-O: You can get a fun one.

Robot: But, like, dude, I saw The Secret Life of Pets.

Steve-O: Yeah, absolutely.

fux mcclit: Oh, and you know what?

Robot: There's a plot...

fux mcclit: ah to so turn this into To turn this into, you know, use this as a a stepping stone into something good, i i didn't i never I didn't watch the Forgotten Island trailer until they showed it before Mario.

fux mcclit: And boy, oh boy, Steve, this is going to be something, I think.

Robot: Okay.

Steve-O: you in

fux mcclit: Well, yeah, it's the Philippines, dude.

Steve-O: Hell yeah, man.

Robot: Yeah.

fux mcclit: They got the fucking Philippine Eagle in there. i was like, yo, Sam, that's the fucking Philippine Eagle. Like, this is crazy.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, that looks like fun.

fux mcclit: The Philippine, you know, the Philippine Eagle eats monkeys. Like, the actual Philippine Eagle eats monkeys.

BARFINGLEON: Fuck yeah, dude.

fux mcclit: That's how big it is.

BARFINGLEON: Fuck yeah, dude.

Robot: Yeah.

fux mcclit: And they got, like, this mythological version of it in this movie. It looks good. It's going awesome. They're sitting on a fucking jeepney. A used jeepney. Like, it's all Philippine shit. See, you know what I mean? They, this trailer alone...

fux mcclit: was better than Mario Galaxy.

Robot: yeah I'll be honest.

BARFINGLEON: yeah

fux mcclit: they earned They earned their nostalgia point points.

Steve-O: There you go

fux mcclit: just you know And didn't even say, like, what's cool is like they don't they're not like, oh, we're in the Philippines. I'm Filipino. You're Filipino. They don't even say it. Like, i just know I just know these things.

Robot: I had no idea it was it was based in the Philippines.

fux mcclit: Really? Well, now you know. I actually look at it.

Robot: And now I know.

Steve-O: Now you know.

fux mcclit: What if I'm wrong? What if it's like Thailand or some shit?

Robot: Holy shit. That would be so fucking

fux mcclit: hu ah Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. We might have to delete the podcast.

BARFINGLEON: We'd call you racist forever.

fux mcclit: Forgotten Island.

Robot: yeah

BARFINGLEON: Well, they all look the same to you, huh, John?

Steve-O: Yeah.

fux mcclit: yeah. Here.

BARFINGLEON: yeah

Steve-O: yes

fux mcclit: Premise. In the 1990s Philippines, childhood friends Joe and Raisa promise to remain close forever.

Robot: Okay.

BARFINGLEON: okay

fux mcclit: Yeah. Dude, fuck you, man. I know my fucking heritage.

Robot: No, no.

BARFINGLEON: All that sweat.

Robot: i' but I'm saying I didn't know.

BARFINGLEON: There's all that sweat before you look that up.

Robot: I'm allowed to not know.

fux mcclit: ah Could you imagine how embarrassing that would be if it wasn't?

Robot: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: You're that Jordan Peele gif there.

Robot: Dude. Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: He's sweating.

fux mcclit: Oh, man. I'm just aura stealing off of other off other ethnicities.

Robot: Well, listen. got...

Steve-O: Oh, I'm sorry. That was a another eagle I was talking about.

fux mcclit: Oh, this is going to be good.

Steve-O: I'm sorry. My bad.

BARFINGLEON: watch those.

fux mcclit: Steve, this is going to be really good. This movie is going really good.

Steve-O: Dude, it it looks good and it's made by the directors that did Puss in Boots Last Wish, which is like, holy shit, banger level.

Robot: Yeah.

fux mcclit: Yeah, this is going to be good.

Steve-O: Ryan Coogler inspiration movie.

BARFINGLEON: ah i got watch those Are those on a reasonable streaming service?

Steve-O: I'll look it up for you right now, Chris. You don't even need to watch the first one.

fux mcclit: Paramount.

Steve-O: You just need to watch Puss in Boots, Last Wish.

BARFINGLEON: I don't consider Paramount a reasonable.

fux mcclit: That's, you know what, Steve, that's what people said about Paddington 2. They're like, you don't have to watch the first padton Paddington. Paddington 2 is Keno.

BARFINGLEON: Watch both. They're both wonderful.

fux mcclit: Paddington 1 is also Keno, though.

Robot: Listen, I can only...

Steve-O: but Well, here's the thing.

BARFINGLEON: They're both fucking wonderful.

Steve-O: Here's the thing.

Robot: I can only say I only watched i only watched ah the second Puss in Boots movie and I didn't feel like I missed anything.

Steve-O: they're They're different directors.

Steve-O: No. I just this year watched the first Puss in Boots and while it is fun, Last Wish blows it out of the water and they're not really connected.

fux mcclit: It's not. Last Wish was actual Kino.

Robot: Yeah. it's so It's like, yeah, if you remember Puss in Boots from Shrek, that's that's all you need to know.

fux mcclit: Okay.

Steve-O: Yeah.

Steve-O: That's all you need. Yeah.

fux mcclit: Oh, yeah. There's a new Shrek coming out. I saw.

Steve-O: There is.

Robot: Yeah.

Steve-O: ah It's on Peacock if you want to stream it.

Robot: Yeah.

Robot: oh

Steve-O: And also, if you don't mind it's on Fandago at home.

Robot: ah chris

fux mcclit: Chris is like, I don't do i don't do Peacock.

Steve-O: So...

Steve-O: so

fux mcclit: I don't do Peacock. Sorry.

BARFINGLEON: I got, I got, I got, I got away.

fux mcclit: But, yeah, Steve, this Forgotten Island movie, man.

BARFINGLEON: carway

fux mcclit: Whew.

Steve-O: It's going to be good.

fux mcclit: gonna be good it's gonna educate you white boys on some ethnicities you know i'm saying you guys guys are gonna know all about jeepneys

Steve-O: be good.

Robot: You know what? i'm gonna I'm going to be the same. going to be the same white boy after I saw Coco. And I said, I don't like the mom. I think the mom is be rude.

Steve-O: um'm bringing I'm bringing a plate of jolly beans.

fux mcclit: that it's gonna be the it's gonna be the similar shit dude it's gonna be like fucking it's gonna be their parents fucking gaslighting them their whole life their whole lives if they really get it right yeah i almost cried during the trailer so yeah probably

Robot: Is

Steve-O: are we going to be crying by the end of this?

BARFINGLEON: I'm going to ask a bunch of annoying questions.

Steve-O: Oh, OK.

BARFINGLEON: John, do you have a Jepner whatever you call it?

fux mcclit: Jeepney.

Steve-O: but

BARFINGLEON: Whatever it is.

fux mcclit: I was just like, dude, that's a Jeepney?

BARFINGLEON: It's a little boat.

fux mcclit: That's the fucking legendary Philippine Eagle?

Robot: um is the bur is the eagle a Is that what that is?

BARFINGLEON: she me

fux mcclit: It

Steve-O: John, John, why is this? Why this eagle? Why is it so big?

BARFINGLEON: yeah All my TikToks have eaten those old eggs that you keep talking about.

fux mcclit: might not actually be... Because the Philippine Eagle is actually like a real animal. like There might be like shit that i don't even know about.

Robot: I refuse to believe that.

fux mcclit: Like about mythology.

Steve-O: I'm here with the boss.

Robot: There's no eagle greater than the bald eagle, John.

fux mcclit: Yeah, look ah look up the Philippine Eagle, Devin. Devin, Google the Philippine Eagle and tell me that's not the most badass fucking aura farming eagle you've ever seen in your life.

Steve-O: Eagle the eagle.

Robot: Philippine eagle.

BARFINGLEON: Steve, when you stream, if you get hooked three times, you got to eat one of those century eggs.

Robot: ah John, I'm not going lie.

Steve-O: Oh, I got to eat one of the eggs?

Robot: This a goofy looking eagle, man.

Steve-O: Nah.

BARFINGLEON: You got to eat an old egg.

fux mcclit: It eats monkeys, dude.

Steve-O: Fuck, dude. I'm going

Robot: But listen, it's it's it looks big, but like in terms of its face, it looks a little it looks a little cartoonish.

Steve-O: to look it up. I'm to look it up.

BARFINGLEON: I'm going to look it up.

fux mcclit: I mean...

Steve-O: You can't have Devin do these things. This is the guy who was rooting for the bad guys in the Avatar movies.

Robot: Oh, wait, no, here's a cool one.

fux mcclit: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, we need

Robot: No, no, wait.

fux mcclit: Yeah. Evan is not putting his Rudy jersey down for the...

Robot: Oh, oh, oh, I'm sorry. the bag You mean humanity? Sorry.

BARFINGLEON: ah Gentlemen, I um also um watched a film that came out this this week.

Robot: <unk>s a cool version

BARFINGLEON: ah It was not Super Mario Galaxy, but believe or not, Mario was in it.

Robot: did you Did you snubs pass this bad boy?

BARFINGLEON: um You better believe I did, bro!

Robot: God damn. All right, good.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah! Woo! I am so fucking pumped after you mentioned Stubbs.

Robot: that You're welcome. You gotta get that.

BARFINGLEON: um

Robot: answer Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: i got three I got two free tickets. Anyway.

fux mcclit: oh Don't use your free tickets on Super Mario Galaxy, Chris.

BARFINGLEON: um

Robot: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: Of course I will not because I won't be seeing it, sir. hu But yes, I did. I watched a movie. ah It was called The Drummer with a certain Robert Pattinson playing ah Mario and Zendaya playing Princess Peach.

fux mcclit: Batman.

Steve-O: Lucci.

fux mcclit: Mary Jane.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah. No, it is a very dark romantic comedy.

Robot: Okay, which is kind of what... the The trailers for this have been weirdly vague, but that's kind of the flyby's movie.

fux mcclit: Isn't that what Die My Love was supposed to be about too? would be be like That was just a stream of consciousness and darkness.

BARFINGLEON: No, that was just that was just dark.

Robot: Yeah, no comedy. Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: That was just dark and slow and disturbing. That was, uh, this is disturbing though, but it's, um, i gotta give this movie some props because I do feel like there is some pretty distinct tonal shifts that happen during it. And it handles it pretty well. Like I, I don't, I didn't hate the way it shifted from something very serious to something very funny.

Robot: You didn't or you did?

BARFINGLEON: I didn't. I think it did it in a very deaf, kind of fragile way.

Robot: Okay. All

BARFINGLEON: And i it was all within the context of a relationship and watching it grow and then watching it sort of fall apart.

BARFINGLEON: And then, you know, I'm not going to say what happens afterwards, but

Robot: right.

BARFINGLEON: um obviously this film hinges on basically a line of dialogue which how do you how do you i mean are you guys familiar with these types of movies have you ever watched a movie where it's a single line that really is the movie

Robot: Okay. I don't love that.

Robot: Oh, you mean like, are are you talking about something like all my life, all I've ever wanted to be was a gangster? You talking about like back then line?

BARFINGLEON: Well, um yeah that's interesting. I've never thought about that.

Steve-O: Or maybe like an action where everything kind of hinges on one moment of the movie.

BARFINGLEON: that' That's also, I think, all yeah, that's a fair comparison.

Steve-O: Like,

fux mcclit: Like, I'll be back, like that.

BARFINGLEON: Something that happens that shakes the entire plot Just one thing.

Steve-O: like

BARFINGLEON: One very...

Steve-O: the, the show, the slap, right?

BARFINGLEON: The slap.

Robot: Are talking about like, are you talking about when it's like, Mrs.

Steve-O: Y'all remember that?

Robot: Doubtfire, you're a man like that?

BARFINGLEON: more like there was a recent film called The Coffee Table in which the whole movie is based on a child being killed by a coffee table it's a very distinct moment but it shapes everything in the movie and it is yeah that's ah the fall the anay anatomy of a fall yeah that's a very ah very good example um that's what this is

Robot: Sorry.

Robot: Like the fall?

Robot: but Anatomy of a Fall. Yeah, that's I meant.

Robot: Okay.

BARFINGLEON: and And not only is it that, but it's also a movie that asks the audience a very pointed question that's very sensitive.

Robot: Okay.

fux mcclit: What question is that?

BARFINGLEON: I don't want to say, because that is a spoiler.

fux mcclit: Okay.

BARFINGLEON: what what Of course, the the plot is um Zendaya and Robert Pattinson's characters. They are in love and they are getting married. And they have a rehearsal dinner with some friends.

BARFINGLEON: And at the dinner, they get kind of drunk. And they both they all start admitting the worst things that they thought they've ever done. And when it gets to Zendaya's character, she says something.

Steve-O: oh

BARFINGLEON: And it is... Something that's very of the time.

fux mcclit: <unk> Relatable? Okay.

BARFINGLEON: I wouldn't say that.

Steve-O: Relate of the time you're saying. like

BARFINGLEON: Of the time. Very current, very present.

fux mcclit: something you it was Something you did, Chris.

BARFINGLEON: No.

Robot: Yeah, yeah. can you relate?

Steve-O: do you ah do you abhor it or would you would you ah vehemently like say no to what she had done?

Robot: or you're like oh

BARFINGLEON: Well, I don't want to get into the nitty gritty because that's also part of the plot, which is, i think, a very important part. um But the act itself, I abhor, of course.

Steve-O: Okay.

BARFINGLEON: It is deplorable.

fux mcclit: Interesting.

Robot: I bet you it's something cool like Stripper.

fux mcclit: So it's not killing.

Steve-O: It's deplorable.

BARFINGLEON: It is deplorable.

Steve-O: Okay. Well, now we kind of want to get to the bottom of this mystery.

BARFINGLEON: I can't tell you that's the movie. Which is, I think, a very valid way to make a film.

Robot: Is she a better or worse person than she was in the tennis movie?

fux mcclit: Challengers.

Robot: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: Worse.

Robot: She's worse?

fux mcclit: Worse.

Robot: Whoa.

fux mcclit: Okay. All right.

Steve-O: Whoa.

fux mcclit: You had my curiosity, but now you have my attention.

Robot: She's like, I'm not saying she's like a deplorable character in that.

BARFINGLEON: Oh, no, no, I mean worse in the tennis film.

Robot: oh Oh, okay.

fux mcclit: Oh, okay. Never mind.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, yeah, okay.

fux mcclit: I don't care.

BARFINGLEON: I wanted to clarify.

fux mcclit: I don't, I'm never watching this now.

BARFINGLEON: I'm sorry.

fux mcclit: I'm not watching this movie anymore.

BARFINGLEON: right I wanted to clarify, at least in my perspective.

Steve-O: did she Did she pull a poltergeist where she sold a haunted house to a family?

fux mcclit: Oh man.

BARFINGLEON: Give me the...

fux mcclit: He's quiet.

Steve-O: And didn't move the bodies?

Robot: ah Chris is real quiet.

fux mcclit: think you got it. i think you got it.

Steve-O: That's real quiet, dude.

fux mcclit: Steve.

BARFINGLEON: So anyway,

Steve-O: um no!

Robot: yeah

Steve-O: Dude!

BARFINGLEON: i

Steve-O: yeah

BARFINGLEON: I enjoyed this film. I think it took some, let's call it narrative diversions that I don't necessarily like.

BARFINGLEON: I think it it is a very simple film at its heart. So it's not a complex movie. and any The only complexity is how you feel about it.

BARFINGLEON: Really. Like the film itself is not complex. It's the emotions that its it stirs within the audience. Is it gimmicky?

BARFINGLEON: ah Is it using that as a gimmick? You could argue that.

BARFINGLEON: You could.

Robot: This is wildly vague.

BARFINGLEON: I know. I don't want to say what it is.

Robot: Okay.

BARFINGLEON: um So yeah, in in in essence, I think it is not a great movie because I feel like it is so simple.

BARFINGLEON: And I feel like it took a a a a detour when I don't think it was necessary.

Robot: Okay.

BARFINGLEON: I think it could have been a little tighter in general. That's my theory. That's my take on it. I think it's a good sit. I think everybody should watch it. I think everybody should have an opinion about it.

BARFINGLEON: I think that's really important. You know, the dialogue, I think is even, i think the dialogue about this movie is more important than the movie.

Robot: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: that's That's what I i feel.

fux mcclit: Okay. Interesting.

BARFINGLEON: So that that's what i don't why I don't think it's a great movie.

fux mcclit: Was it better than Bo's Afraid?

Steve-O: I,

fux mcclit: I'm

BARFINGLEON: Bo is afraid he took so many shots

Robot: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: like to the to the to the fences. like i just really And it made me like laugh like an idiot.

fux mcclit: just trying to steer us and mold us into...

Robot: Okay, wait Chris, is the worst part is the worst part of of this movie that you saw better than the worst part of Bo is Afraid, where he's like walking around the woods and it takes forever and never fucking ends?

fux mcclit: Trying to mold us into...

BARFINGLEON: See, no. No, I don't think that is...

Robot: Okay.

BARFINGLEON: i think Bo's worse. That worst moment is worse. But I think the highs of bo are higher.

Steve-O: Highs for Bo.

BARFINGLEON: but Like, the this doesn't really get anywhere higher. Like, it maintains.

fux mcclit: Who directed this this movie?

BARFINGLEON: um Christoph... but

fux mcclit: Waltz.

BARFINGLEON: Christoph... He's a... I think a Polish director, I'm going to say. I'm trying to go.

fux mcclit: Oh, it's one of those weird Polish dudes.

Robot: Oh, boy. Hey, hey, hey, hey. What are you talking about here?

fux mcclit: Oh, boy.

BARFINGLEON: Christopher Borgley, who also made Dream Scenario, which we saw.

fux mcclit: i see.

BARFINGLEON: Me and Devin, right? We watched that.

Robot: Yeah, yeah. Oh, okay.

BARFINGLEON: That was great. Or good. That was good.

fux mcclit: ah Yeah, yeah.

BARFINGLEON: That was good, I would say. i'd say um very he makes these very simplistic ideated films, you know, and...

Robot: Oddly erotic.

BARFINGLEON: He just lets it kind of grow organically. That's kind of cool. I like this.

Robot: Better or worse than dream scenario?

BARFINGLEON: I really... I think I like Dream Scenario little more.

Robot: Oh, okay.

BARFINGLEON: Because that, I think, was more... I think that was funnier.

fux mcclit: Better or worse than The Green Knight?

BARFINGLEON: I think I like this a little more than Green Knight.

Robot: Yeah, Green Knight stinks, dude.

BARFINGLEON: I think I do.

Robot: I think it's time.

BARFINGLEON: I admittedly...

Steve-O: damn

Robot: I think enough time has passed that we can o admit that.

fux mcclit: And i also think enough time is is has passed that we can admit that Bo's Afraid is a phrase actually a masterpiece and ahead of its time.

Robot: I just, i don't, I think if you were not unconscious during the middle of that movie, yeah.

BARFINGLEON: I think it might be. Oh, by the way, speaking of Bo is Afraid, this was produced by Ari Aster.

fux mcclit: Hell yeah. that's That's all I needed to hear.

BARFINGLEON: And to be honest, when I saw that and then I saw that moment in the movie, I was like, oh, yeah, OK.

fux mcclit: Yeah. this is He read this part in the script and was like, I'll pay for I'll pay for this movie to be made.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, let me get what what. How much do you need?

fux mcclit: For this one thing to happen, I guess.

BARFINGLEON: okay How much could I...

fux mcclit: Alright, well, I guess I need to see it.

BARFINGLEON: This button could have given you a hundred more dollars for the budget.

Steve-O: Yeah.

fux mcclit: Can we get more?

BARFINGLEON: He went full Schindler.

fux mcclit: Can we get more moments like this?

BARFINGLEON: He went full Schindler on this movie. Giving up everything to make this. This is his aura. One million percent. Very uncomfortable.

BARFINGLEON: it's It's kind of like watching a little bit like Scott's Tots in that regard.

Robot: Okay.

fux mcclit: Okay. Okay.

BARFINGLEON: Okay? Like cringey.

fux mcclit: My ears are perked.

BARFINGLEON: A little darker, though. I think darker. Way darker. Okay. I'll leave it at that. um Good sit. Check it out. The drama.

BARFINGLEON: ah

Robot: Cool.

BARFINGLEON: Did I watch another movie?

Robot: Well, while you think, I could tell you about a movie I saw today, and like just hours ago. I was, I don't know, i saw something on the internet talking about it.

Robot: I saw a film called Runaway Train, 1985 action thriller, starring Jon Voight and Eric Roberts.

Robot: Both were nominated for Academy Awards for Best Actor and Best Supporting. And it is based off of an original 1960s screenplay by Kurosawa.

Robot: And you can definitely feel that.

BARFINGLEON: What's the plot?

Robot: So it's ah it's about...

fux mcclit: Samurai walks into a bar.

Robot: John Voight plays like this ah this super respected criminal. like it like It starts off in a prison. And he just like won an appeal to get out of solitary confinement. so like all the like The movie starts with them like throwing a mini-riot in celebration that this guy's getting out of the hole, essentially.

Robot: ah And it's like John Voight doing a really young impression. Like, when you see the movie Anaconda, you're like, that's where he's getting that whole thing from, is is this movie that he did.

Robot: um

BARFINGLEON: You want to see some snakes?

Robot: Like, the way he talks, and he's just kind of weird. He's just super fucking weird about everything. um But ah Eric Roberts, who's like...

Robot: If you don't know, i guess the the only real comparison I can give you is the guy Batman drops off of a roof trying to find out where the Joker is in the Dark Knight.

BARFINGLEON: You know, he's Julia Roberts' brother.

Robot: Yes, I did know that. Um... Eric Roberts is very young in this film. he plays like a he He plays a young convict. He's like a boxer whatever. And he looks up to Manny because everybody looks up to Manny. He's a hero. And Manny hates the prison warden.

Robot: He's like, yeah you can't kill me. and like They try to kill him. like The warden actively tries to get him murdered. So he decides he's going to break out once and for all.

Robot: Eric Roberts character is like, oh, I'm going to tag along with you because he's he's the young mouthy, you know, guy. ah They escape there. It's a I don't they're like Alaska or something. So they they go to escape on a train.

Robot: As they're hiding out on the train. The conductor, it's like ah like a shipping train, right? The conductor or like the the engineer has a heart attack and falls off the train.

Robot: But in while he's doing it, he like accidentally turns the brakes on like halfway. So the brakes ah eventually break. they snap off the train and the train is just on a fucking runaway. So it's a mix of these guys on this train trying to, they don't really know what's happening, but then you're getting the people, you know, in the office realizing this train is, you know, escaping. And then, ah you know, Jon Voight's just acting insane. Eric Roberts also acting insane.

Robot: um It's not particularly good, in my opinion. i don't even like a lot of the performances in the movie.

Robot: um But, like, the end of it is definitely... I'm like, oh, this is Kurosawa. Like, the end of it just oozes him. And you're like, okay. That makes sense. But it was just like a... this threw it all It was on Amazon.

Robot: And it was a good enough watch. I'd say it's a fuck, right?

Steve-O: Good enough watch.

BARFINGLEON: but the

Steve-O: Is that a good sit? Okay.

Robot: No, no, it's a fuck. It's fuck.

Steve-O: okay

Robot: Good enough. But it's just like it' just like, I don't know, may John Boyce just acting insane in this movie and in a way that kind of works but like doesn't, in my opinion.

Robot: But hey, they both were nominated for Best Actor and Best Supporting, so I guess they were doing something right.

BARFINGLEON: I've never heard of this director my life.

Robot: Yeah, apparently Jon Voight helped him get his, like, ah what happened? Let me see. I was reading about it, but ah yeah, yeah.

BARFINGLEON: Andre Konsoloski.

BARFINGLEON: Sorry.

Robot: Yeah, it was, uh...

BARFINGLEON: Not ringing bell, Steve.

Steve-O: I think he helped sell Jon Voight's LeBaron to George Costanza.

Robot: um

BARFINGLEON: yeah

Robot: Yeah, but apparently like something something happened.

BARFINGLEON: I remember that.

Robot: like John Voight got him the job so he could get a citizenship or something like that. Or got him over to America so he could like wreck this movie.

BARFINGLEON: Oh, way to go, John Boyd. Now you're a piece of shit.

Robot: Yeah. I think John Voight's dead, right?

BARFINGLEON: What happened? No, he's still alive.

Steve-O: Nah.

BARFINGLEON: He's an asshole.

Steve-O: Yeah, he's still kicking.

Robot: Oh.

Steve-O: Yeah.

Robot: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: He went full James Woods.

Robot: Yeah. Well, he definitely plays an asshole in this.

Robot: But ah yeah, Kurosawa was originally planning on making this, but he had issues with funding. So unfortunately, just kind of.

BARFINGLEON: They wouldn't give him a train.

Robot: Yeah. I don't know, like.

BARFINGLEON: He asked for one train. They were like, sorry, bud.

Robot: There's a scene in the middle of the movie where like the train just like blasts through another train. So the front of this train is all fucking mangled. And it's just kind of cool that they're these shots where they just have like this mangled front of a you know of a runaway train.

BARFINGLEON: They fucked some real trains up.

Robot: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: Hell yeah, dude.

Robot: It looked like it.

BARFINGLEON: Hell yeah, dude.

Robot: It's funny, though, because some of it's like really high-budge, and then some of it's just like, oh, my God. They just either didn't have money, or ran out of money.

BARFINGLEON: 1 million percent. Everybody was on set that day. Watch that shit.

Robot: Yeah. ah Yeah. And I think ah there was, there's a story about it. So it's like one of Danny Trejo's like first movies. And there's a story that he was in the movie because he was brought on as like a, not like a bodyguard, but there was like an obscene amount of cocaine use and he was brought on to like speak about it. And then somebody was like, Hey, you look kind of scary. Do you want to be in this movie?

Robot: He's like, okay. So it's kind of interesting.

BARFINGLEON: As long as you give him free cocaine. Well, I mean, he's got act in the movie.

Robot: Well, yeah.

Steve-O: he

BARFINGLEON: Just give him some, give him an eight ball.

Robot: that's real That's what they paid him in. But he no, he was brought in to clean it up.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, he took it all home.

Steve-O: Clean this movie up.

Robot: Yeah, wasn't brought in to...

BARFINGLEON: need you to get all the cocaine out of this movie.

Robot: bad Bad man, dude.

BARFINGLEON: What movie, what movie do you think that would help?

Robot: So wait he was cast after he arrived on his step.

Steve-O: What cocaine?

BARFINGLEON: no No, like to get all the cocaine out of it.

Robot: Oh, Hook?

BARFINGLEON: I think it would have helped production.

Robot: No, no, no. wasn' it Wasn't the...

BARFINGLEON: I'd say the remake.

Robot: No, the Popeye movie.

BARFINGLEON: No. you See.

Robot: The Popeye movie apparently was like...

BARFINGLEON: Oh, that might be a good one.

Robot: right They're like, it was just rampant.

Steve-O: the whole presence of the idea of that movie.

Robot: Yeah.

Steve-O: Like, they're just like, we're going to just build an actual town.

Robot: Yeah. No, no, but...

BARFINGLEON: the only thing you can do on cocaine, I guess. That's the only way they could get it done.

Steve-O: But like, dude, like that's like the best casted movie of all time.

Robot: yeah Yeah, that's that's perfect casting.

BARFINGLEON: It is. your're It's Robert Altman, though. That guy fucking...

Steve-O: No, i know. i'm ah I'm not saying the director was the right choice, but I gotta say like Robin Williams is Popeye.

BARFINGLEON: I know. i

Steve-O: And what's her name is olive oil.

BARFINGLEON: Shelly Duvall.

Steve-O: Shelly Duvall was made to play olive oil.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah. Of course.

Robot: ah Definitely. You know what's fun? So so I did find it. ah Danny Trejo was cast after he arrived on set in his role as a drug abuse counselor for a young person working with the crew who was troubled by the rampant cocaine abuse.

Robot: So he was a drug counselor.

BARFINGLEON: or that he would He was in jail, right? That's what he went to jail for?

Robot: Yeah, and then the screenwriter consultant remembered him from when they were both in prison and helped him get a small on-screen role. in addition as we're as a boxing trainer for Eric Roberts during the film.

BARFINGLEON: eric Roberts got all boxed in every movie.

Robot: is Is that a thing with him?

BARFINGLEON: He had to for for a good long time.

Robot: Well, he's not bad. No, he's good in it.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, you've seen Best of the Best, right, Devon?

Robot: Oh, wait, is he in that?

BARFINGLEON: Of course he's in that.

Robot: Dude, it didde it's been a minute.

BARFINGLEON: That's like his. That's his his. His like entrance into Hollywood. Was best and best. Pretty sure.

Robot: Oh, no, dude, I was thinking of sidekicks.

BARFINGLEON: That's Chuck Norris.

Steve-O: You're always talking about sidekicks, Devin.

Robot: I know. i was thinking of sidekicks. No, best of the best. Dude, it's been forever since I've seen best of the best.

BARFINGLEON: that's Yeah. That's a pretty decent.

Robot: That movie fucking.

BARFINGLEON: that mix Is that m MMA?

Robot: I went from not remembering at all.

BARFINGLEON: Is that mixed martial arts? What is that?

Robot: I think it's just it's like I think it's like MMA in the sense of like blood sports m MMA. You know what I mean?

BARFINGLEON: all right.

Robot: It's just martial artists fighting each other.

Steve-O: blood blood

Robot: Well, let's just say ah if anybody knew a ground game, I think i think this move have been over pretty quickly.

BARFINGLEON: Eric Roberts.

BARFINGLEON: Steve's got a big poster of Eric Roberts above his bed.

Steve-O: Wow.

Steve-O: isn't that Wasn't Eric Roberts supposed to be in Back to the Future?

BARFINGLEON: No, that's

Robot: No, Eric Stoltz.

Steve-O: I'm thinking Eric Stoltz. I'm like, that's a weird MMA choice.

Robot: Dude, now you got one to look up best of the best. I might watch that tonight.

Steve-O: um i got one um I got something a little bit more modern. um We got to talk best the best.

Robot: No, no, best of the best to you. Sorry.

Steve-O: We don't want to talk about fucking Daredevil Born Again Season 2, which we forgot to talk about last week.

BARFINGLEON: Oh, yeah, I have been watching.

Robot: Yeah,

fux mcclit: haven't seen any of it.

BARFINGLEON: That's what I was thinking of. Thank you, Steve.

Robot: best of the best.

Steve-O: best the best. I've only seen the first episode. John, you haven't seen any, you said?

Robot: Okay.

BARFINGLEON: Oh.

fux mcclit: I haven't seen any of it.

Robot: There's three out, I think.

fux mcclit: Yeah. Are

BARFINGLEON: I've watched them all, Steve.

Robot: Yeah, Chris and I are up to date.

Steve-O: What's the vibe?

fux mcclit: they all out? They're all out.

Steve-O: What's the throw up?

Robot: No, no, no, only out.

BARFINGLEON: No, no, no, no, no. the the The most recent episodes.

fux mcclit: Yeah. With the, with the new baby coming, I'm planning on catching up on absolute Batman this week and watching daredevil with Samantha.

BARFINGLEON: Yes. Yes.

Robot: You know what?

fux mcclit: So what else should I do?

Robot: Not to get super off track, but I caught up on Absolute Batman.

fux mcclit: What should I do? well

Robot: and Pretty, pretty good.

BARFINGLEON: Woo!

fux mcclit: Okay, so I don't have to read it then? That's what

BARFINGLEON: I'm caught up, baby.

Robot: Are you?

BARFINGLEON: You're all caught up, Devin.

Robot: The Poison Ivy stuff? Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, dude. All right. All right. I see you.

fux mcclit: you're saying?

Robot: I really like that.

fux mcclit: Okay, okay,

Robot: That's a good that's a good redesign.

BARFINGLEON: Dude.

fux mcclit: okay.

BARFINGLEON: Dude. Dude. You read that Joker origin, right?

Robot: thats a really good Yeah, yeah, yeah. yeah

BARFINGLEON: Wow! What a book, guys. I can talk about all of the absolute books because I am all caught up on all of them.

BARFINGLEON: i have I am all in, babe.

Robot: But, uh... Wait, Steve, what what movie were you talking about?

BARFINGLEON: Oh, I'm sorry.

Steve-O: I was talking about fucking Daredevil.

fux mcclit: He's walking around. there

BARFINGLEON: He's talking about the devil!

Robot: Oh, Dan Murphy.

Steve-O: Dude, is this like some sort of weird cursed show that we keep forgetting about?

fux mcclit: He's trying to talk about Daredevil.

BARFINGLEON: I mean, Steve. Steve, Steve, Steve, let's be honest.

Robot: but yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah.

fux mcclit: He's trying to talk about Daredevil, guys.

BARFINGLEON: Steve. let's be honest

Robot: Well, it started and then we were like, oh, not all of us finished it.

BARFINGLEON: steveve

fux mcclit: Steve. It's

BARFINGLEON: Steve.

Steve-O: Not all of us have watched this, so that's fair.

BARFINGLEON: Steve.

Robot: Yeah.

Steve-O: I was just trying to get feelings out for it.

BARFINGLEON: Let's be honest.

Robot: right, Chris.

BARFINGLEON: Let's be honest.

Robot: Chris, three episodes how are you feeling about it?

BARFINGLEON: Let's be honest.

Steve-O: Let's be honest.

fux mcclit: all right.

BARFINGLEON: It's alright.

Robot: I would say it would been perfectly watchable. That's kind of how I feel about

Steve-O: The first episode was fun. i had fun with it.

Robot: Yeah.

fux mcclit: How much nostalgia farming is there in this?

BARFINGLEON: Not as much as I thought there would be, actually.

Robot: really Not really lot. No. um

Steve-O: enjoying what's his name showing up. um

fux mcclit: as Has Matt ah fired an RPG at a helicopter yet or no?

Robot: You know, no, but there was a pretty sick fight in the last episode.

Steve-O: Is it like hallway-esque?

BARFINGLEON: no.

Steve-O: Okay.

Robot: No, not really.

fux mcclit: Is Punisher going to be in this season or no?

Robot: don't think he is.

BARFINGLEON: I don't think.

fux mcclit: Wow, they really fucking nerfed Frank, huh?

Steve-O: you're doing they're

Robot: he might he might pop up.

Steve-O: They're doing a Punisher, like, getting their own, like, little, like, mini-show, mini-movie.

Robot: Yeah, he's he's his um he's getting his own, like, one shot.

fux mcclit: They nerfed his ass. Yeah, he's in the fucking he's in the fucking kid children's movie, a Brand New Day, coming out this year.

Steve-O: No, no, no, no, no. They're doing one called, like, One Last Kill or something.

BARFINGLEON: I'm a little shocked at the at the lack of anyone this season, to be honest.

fux mcclit: He's going to be wearing white boots.

Robot: Yeah.

Steve-O: Now you get lots of Matthew Lillard.

BARFINGLEON: ah Yeah.

Robot: Hey, hey, Matty Lillard.

Steve-O: Stu Mark is there. Stu Marker.

Robot: I like Matty Lillard.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah. A

Robot: I would also say... um I think, ah I can't think of his name, James Gandolfini's kid. Is it just Anthony?

Steve-O: oh

fux mcclit: James Gandolfini Jr.

BARFINGLEON: little toning.

Robot: Well, yeah.

Steve-O: Tony Jr.

Robot: I think he's actually kind of coming into his own, I think, as an actor a little bit more.

fux mcclit: Anthony.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, he's not bad.

Robot: And I think it shows.

BARFINGLEON: i i You're right.

Robot: he's He's actually been pretty good so far.

fux mcclit: I liked him in the and the other season.

BARFINGLEON: I do still feel like this show is 50-50 with actors.

Robot: Yeah, fair.

BARFINGLEON: and Right down the middle.

Robot: um

BARFINGLEON: Right down the middle.

Robot: But yeah, it's been like,

fux mcclit: Did Foggy show up yet? Because he's in it.

Robot: um

fux mcclit: I know that.

BARFINGLEON: I really hope not.

Robot: I think his corpse keeps showing up in flashbacks.

fux mcclit: I think he's in it.

BARFINGLEON: don't like him as an actor.

Robot: oh

Robot: yeah Yeah, true. um No, but honestly, like, i think it's been pretty good, but I'm not like banging down the doors to screaming at people to go, you got to catch up.

BARFINGLEON: Not however he'll.

BARFINGLEON: That's. I mean I watched the episodes last week. And I completely forgot. like That's.

Robot: Yeah, they kind of, well, there were two, I think, last week, right?

BARFINGLEON: No just one.

Steve-O: No, there was one for the first week and then two this week.

BARFINGLEON: two Two came out this week.

Robot: Yeah, that's what that's what I mean. Like, I just like, oh

Steve-O: And that intimidated me. They said there's two a two this week. Come on, guys.

Robot: that so much

Steve-O: Last time you did two, it was that fucking shitty bank episode.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, but Steve, if that was the Penguin, you would have watched both those and been like, yes!

Steve-O: Oh my God, if it was the Penguin, I would have been all about it.

BARFINGLEON: Two episodes, yes!

Steve-O: You're right, you're right. But it was, it's Daredevil.

fux mcclit: Yeah, when's that coming back?

BARFINGLEON: that's never coming back.

Steve-O: It's never come back, dude.

fux mcclit: When's that coming back?

BARFINGLEON: That's over.

Robot: Yeah, David.

fux mcclit: Oh, come on.

Steve-O: You know what, we need to let shows have like the one walk-away home run. Let that be Penguin.

BARFINGLEON: think it's fine. Just let him go. It's fine.

fux mcclit: When's he coming?

BARFINGLEON: It's fine.

Steve-O: Unless if they want to get real freaky with it.

fux mcclit: When's old Ozzy coming back?

BARFINGLEON: Oh, I don't know. I'd love him to come back.

Robot: Yeah. um But yeah, no, Daredevil's been pretty solid.

BARFINGLEON: I love

Robot: I've been really I don't know why, but I've just been really slow rolling. um Invincible.

BARFINGLEON: it. Oh, I watched all that.

Steve-O: Oh, shit.

BARFINGLEON: Devin!

Robot: Okay. um i've been I've been like slow rolling. I don't really know why.

BARFINGLEON: Devin! Oh, I watched something. Oh, my God. I couldn't look away.

Robot: Okay.

BARFINGLEON: Woo! Woo-hoo! Oh, did you read the comics?

Robot: I'm into it. like umm Yes, but I will say i think this season is encroaching on where I like stopped.

Robot: And I'm trying...

BARFINGLEON: Did you watch the second?

Robot: I watched the second episode, which is all Nolan.

BARFINGLEON: No, no, no.

Robot: So I haven't watched the third episode.

BARFINGLEON: this No, no. Devin, did you read the second Conquest fight?

Robot: That's what that's the thing. I don't think I think that's where I like.

BARFINGLEON: Oh

Robot: Yeah, I know. i know.

BARFINGLEON: my god. You're going to shit your fucking pants when you watch that You're going to scream.

Robot: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: You're going scream.

Robot: No, but dude. Yeah. Invincible is pretty solid.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, that's fucking... That show is always good. It's always good. i'm never really been disappointed with it. that You know what? Actually, i was reading somewhere. People really didn't like the hell episode.

Robot: The hell episode?

BARFINGLEON: Did you watch that?

Robot: No, of this season?

BARFINGLEON: Yeah.

Robot: No, I've only watched the first two. is so the Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: Okay. yeah All right. Well, that's all going say. um You watch it. You let me know because I liked it quite a bit.

Robot: Okay. Yeah, again, i have this weird mental thing where I'm like, I'm afraid to just like start watching an episode and be like, ah we're past the point.

Robot: i got a I got a weird hang up. But.

BARFINGLEON: That Conquest bite. Oh my God. Oh my God.

Robot: All right. All right.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, that, that I, I, I was eating, um, I was eating.

Robot: I'm in.

BARFINGLEON: Okay. I was eating the, uh, the new barbecue Doritos. You know, the ones that come in that silver bag. i don't know if you guys are familiar with that.

BARFINGLEON: Uh, they're delicious by the way. It's like an intense barbecue flavor. Anyway, I stopped eating. All right. That's the a because it was I was like, oh, like, who?

Robot: You were disgusted.

BARFINGLEON: A little bit. A little bit. Yeah. Wow.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah.

Robot: So would you say that's the best thing you've been watching ah lately?

BARFINGLEON: yeah

BARFINGLEON: As like TV, as far as TV goes.

Robot: Yeah, TV-wise, TV. watch yeah tv

BARFINGLEON: Um, uh, you know what?

Robot: I'm looking at my list of things I'm currently watching and I would say Invincible's, but even only two episodes I'm like, yeah.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, dude. Yeah, dude. Yep. a Pretty easily. I can't think of anything else.

Robot: Did you guys, Steve and Sean, did you guys keep, are you caught up on Invincible or you're like way behind?

Steve-O: No, I'm a few seasons behind.

fux mcclit: No.

Robot: Wow. I didn't know we had a bunch of fake fans in here.

fux mcclit: No.

Steve-O: i was too busy watching 1985's Mama Fell Off the Train.

fux mcclit: I don't claim to be one.

Steve-O: That's not name of the movie.

BARFINGLEON: That came out and knock in the 90s.

Robot: aha

Steve-O: attention Throw Mama from the train.

BARFINGLEON: Danny DeVito, Billy Crystal.

Steve-O: Ah! No, I want to watch Invincible. don't know why i fell off.

Robot: Well, I know why you felt...

Steve-O: i think I think Chris gave us Chris was watching a season and he was like... When Chris's fate started to shake into one...

Robot: No, na no, i'll tell you exactly I'll tell you exactly what happened. Season 2 did the worst thing, which is like, it took a really long time for Season 2 to come out, and then they took like a six-week break.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, they took a break. They killed everybody. But it was still good!

Robot: It was, but still, it doesn't like...

BARFINGLEON: I know, know, I know.

Robot: Ugh.

Steve-O: The audience is like a ah plant. You have to water it once a week or mostly daily.

BARFINGLEON: This... Devin, I'm going to go out and I'm going to put my foot out into the wood chipper. What?

Steve-O: In the woodchip.

BARFINGLEON: um I think this is the best voice animated show I've i've seen consistently.

Robot: Okay.

BARFINGLEON: Like as as far as the talent and what they're able to do with it, with their voices in this, I think it's consistently the best voice acted anything I've watched.

Robot: Yeah.

Robot: Sure. No, that's that's pretty fair.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah. you think that's fair?

Robot: I mean, with with your lack of anime exposure, yeah, I think that's fair.

BARFINGLEON: well, you know, I'm not watching dubs out here like you.

Robot: All right.

Steve-O: I mean, you know, to be fair, you know, are we are we talking about like Studio Ghibli movies? Or are we just saying shows?

BARFINGLEON: I'm saying shows like consistently like this is always not only is it consistently the actors that they picked have been getting better, but they've been adding higher profile voices on that are wonderful.

Steve-O: They're shows, okay.

Steve-O: don't

BARFINGLEON: That treat it like with respect and make a character with their voices.

fux mcclit: Thank

Steve-O: Yeah, I mean, they they knocked out of that park with like everybody they cast in the beginning, like right out the gate. So I imagine they're just with more momentum.

BARFINGLEON: It's like, not only are they picking like classic, wonderful voice actors like Clancy Brown, but they're also going out of their way and picking like actors to fill certain roles to add that personality.

BARFINGLEON: That's like, to me, it's the best of both worlds.

Steve-O: That's the best. That's the best of the best.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, I think so. But, you know, um what do we got coming out this week? We got the boys. Last season starting April 8th, I want to say.

Robot: I'm hearing good things too. Yeah. Which is like Wednesday.

Steve-O: People are talking boys, Identity V. They're talking about all this stuff coming to a head.

BARFINGLEON: Steve, big old Homelander fan over here.

Robot: What the fuck? See, why did you sound like a Gotham goon?

Steve-O: um Hey, everybody.

BARFINGLEON: Homelander head.

Steve-O: I'm about to do my spinoff podcast. It's called the Anti-Fanboys Boys. boys

BARFINGLEON: Get you.

fux mcclit: Thank you.

BARFINGLEON: Read all about it.

Steve-O: I haven't seen anything since like the first couple seasons. so I can't help here either.

Robot: The boys is another man. It's another... really solid. ah

BARFINGLEON: Last season, and was was it was starting to you were starting to see the the pieces fall off the the ship, though.

Robot: Yeah, but like it's still definitely watchable and and yeah, now it's now it's ending quote unquote.

Steve-O: They called it. They caught it before it turned into like too long nonsense show.

Robot: And regardless, it's still going to be better than whatever whatever that show was or whatever the comic was.

BARFINGLEON: I agree.

BARFINGLEON: Of course. Well, that's that's a low bar, Devin.

Robot: Actually, i do wonder I do wonder, Chris, I don't know if you remember how the comic ends, but I wonder if they're going to go in that direction.

BARFINGLEON: I had no idea how the comic ends.

Robot: Okay.

BARFINGLEON: I stopped reading that ah very quickly.

Robot: Yeah,

Robot: yeah I stuck through it. i stuck through it. But, yeah, it ends. it We're so off the reservation in terms of where it follows. I'm i'm kind of curious. But, um yeah, yeah.

Robot: But no, dude, I've been watching um get Daredevil, Invincible. Still watching Scrubs. I'm still that guy.

BARFINGLEON: Gotta scrub yourself down.

Robot: ah Dude, it's...

Steve-O: New scrubs.

BARFINGLEON: Oh, speaking of scrubs, I did watch a show ah that's like scrubs, but more serious.

Robot: yes

BARFINGLEON: um It's called The Pit. i I did try that.

Robot: Yes! Yeah, what what do you think?

Steve-O: Okay. Yeah. I watched the first season of the pit too.

fux mcclit: Oh, yeah, I heard that that show was good.

Robot: What do you think?

BARFINGLEON: I, um okay, I'm gonna, i'm a I might be high on my oats here, but I did not like that show at all.

Robot: At all. Whoa,

BARFINGLEON: one One million percent no. One million percent no.

Steve-O: That's fair.

Robot: okay. well

fux mcclit: Is it too realistic?

BARFINGLEON: i've

fux mcclit: Is it hyper-realistic for you?

BARFINGLEON: act The opposite. I think it it's got like the it's got like the the law and order thing where like people are just moving all the time and talking.

Steve-O: Mm-hmm.

fux mcclit: Right.

BARFINGLEON: it's I just don't i don't like that. i don't. I don't like the the constant medical jargon. i don't like the the the dumb drama.

BARFINGLEON: I don't like the really the characters really cliche. don't know. I don't know.

Robot: You didn't like that it was... is Wait, did you watch you watch just season one?

BARFINGLEON: I watched the first two episodes.

Robot: Oh. Okay.

BARFINGLEON: um I'm not.

Robot: I guess that makes sense, right? If you don't like it, like, why the hell are you gonna...

fux mcclit: I was like, oh, oh, oh, oh.

Steve-O: yeah I mean, like that's like that's like the entirety of the show.

fux mcclit: wow

Robot: know it's just funny It's funny, though, because, like, I was i was really digging it

Steve-O: You're not wrong.

BARFINGLEON: it's It felt like yeah ER. r It felt like an old show.

Robot: Yeah, but it's it's funny that you say that, though, because I was, like, really vibing with it, but Jenny would just, every time she would walk in the room, they're doing something aggressively gory because it's an HBO hospital show.

BARFINGLEON: it felt like a show was...

Robot: And she's like, oh, turn this off! And I was like, all right, think weve worth this isn't worth getting yelled at.

BARFINGLEON: na no, Wait, wait. Hold on. Hold on. Hey, Devin, hit the brakes. that's I like that stuff.

Robot: No, no, I'm saying for me, like, that's why I stopped watching it. Because, like, Jenny just was like...

BARFINGLEON: Oh.

Robot: I just was getting yelled at every time it was on because she was like, I can't handle this.

BARFINGLEON: Oh. i don't I don't... I like that... The guy who had the floating face, like I was in on that. like That's rad as shit, but like...

Robot: Okay. All right, psycho dude.

BARFINGLEON: It's all the other dumb shit I was i was feeling.

Robot: Ew.

BARFINGLEON: I don't know. It's not my cup. Not my cup. i i don't I never really liked those procedural... medical procedural dramas.

Robot: Yeah.

Steve-O: Less drama, more Mambo. Number five.

BARFINGLEON: Yo, let's see them all dancing.

fux mcclit: Yes.

BARFINGLEON: Because that's what it's all about.

fux mcclit: Yes.

BARFINGLEON: Lights dance.

Steve-O: It's, you know, it's um Noah Wiley's character in that show.

BARFINGLEON: That's how you heal.

Robot: Oh.

Steve-O: is He's just like too good doctor.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, he's a Mary Sue, right?

Steve-O: Yeah, kind of.

BARFINGLEON: Like every problem that crops up is only dramatic for as long as he's not there.

Steve-O: Get to good doctor who's here.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, what's

Steve-O: Just get him to do everything.

BARFINGLEON: Hire a confident person to help that man.

Steve-O: At least House was miserable to work with.

BARFINGLEON: And you see, i that's why I like House. Because he's an asshole. like that That turned the whole hospital drama on its head because...

Steve-O: He would look at you and say, you got gout. And you'd be like, fuck.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, and he'd make fun of you and be sarcastic and play fucking Game Boy Advance all the time.

Robot: okay

Steve-O: Also...

BARFINGLEON: That shit I would do. I related to him.

Steve-O: Better theme song.

Robot: Oh, man.

BARFINGLEON: Way better theme song.

Robot: Yeah, that theme song. It hurts, dude.

fux mcclit: Yeah, Massive Attack.

BARFINGLEON: He had character.

fux mcclit: That's the artist.

Steve-O: Mmm.

BARFINGLEON: You know what I mean? he had character. He felt real.

Robot: Yeah, Hudson.

Steve-O: Whatever happened to Hugh Laurie?

BARFINGLEON: He turned back into a British person.

Robot: I think he just... Yeah, yeah. Yeah, Yvonne.

Steve-O: Did we trade him back for like...

BARFINGLEON: Yeah.

Steve-O: we we No, no, no.

BARFINGLEON: He morphed back.

Robot: We traded him back for Robert Downing Jr., I think.

Steve-O: What?

BARFINGLEON: you

Steve-O: We traded for Robert Downey?

Robot: Yeah, were he we're like, listen, we gave you Sherlock.

BARFINGLEON: i

BARFINGLEON: That's a deep trade.

Robot: Then we had house, but like we need, we need them back.

BARFINGLEON: That's a deep trade.

Steve-O: I feel like we got Matt Barry and we were like, we don't need another British guy.

BARFINGLEON: I think it was, I think Benedict Cumberbatch was his Grim Reaper.

Steve-O: We've got the best one.

Steve-O: Oh, you think he did a, he did a killing.

BARFINGLEON: I think he, likes like, yes.

Robot: yeah oh my God.

BARFINGLEON: Like, he came along and he was like, that guy sounded like a frog?

Steve-O: We used to really be into Sherlock.

BARFINGLEON: Put him in everything.

Steve-O: Sherlock.

BARFINGLEON: I know, and...

Robot: Yeah, but but then what happened is what always happened. It got real bad.

BARFINGLEON: He got shitty.

Robot: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah.

Steve-O: God, shitty. theyy because They couldn't stick it. And like, that's the thing too. That's like a BBC show. Like their whole thing is they do two seasons and they're done and you couldn't even get that landing.

BARFINGLEON: Well, that's the the issue, I think, with the writer of that show more than anything, right?

Steve-O: That's fair. That's fair.

BARFINGLEON: He had a hard time holding, sticking the landing in in in general.

Steve-O: That was um the Dr. Who guy, right?

BARFINGLEON: Doctor Who. Yeah, what was his name? David something.

Robot: Moffat?

Steve-O: David T. Moffat.

BARFINGLEON: Moffat.

Robot: Yeah, Steven Moffat.

BARFINGLEON: He, Steve, was it Stephen Moffat?

Robot: was the moth, dude.

fux mcclit: Yeah, it's Steven Moffat.

BARFINGLEON: No.

fux mcclit: It's Steven Moffat.

Steve-O: I'm thinking of Russell T Davies, the other Doctor Who guy.

BARFINGLEON: Is it? Well, okay.

fux mcclit: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: Okay. Yeah, he just never felt like he really could could stick to the end.

fux mcclit: He fell off the face of the planet. He got canceled. We'll just say he got canceled.

Robot: Oh, no, I think I'd rather be like, I just wasn't successful.

BARFINGLEON: He got canceled?

Robot: Don't fucking say I got canceled. That's bad.

BARFINGLEON: You make too many bad Sherlock's and Doctor Who's.

fux mcclit: He got canceled.

BARFINGLEON: that's That's what the... Okay, I was thinking of him.

fux mcclit: That's the guy that brought it back.

Steve-O: Hmm.

fux mcclit: Yeah. But Steven Moffat, they went, he would, he would, he was the ringer.

BARFINGLEON: That's right.

fux mcclit: He would write the one, he would do the one episode.

Steve-O: He was the golden child. Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: See, he would write...

fux mcclit: He would do the one episode that would win the award, all the awards each season.

BARFINGLEON: That's...

fux mcclit: And then they were like, you know what? Why don't you make every episode? And then it just fell off a cliff.

Steve-O: it You can't do that. You can't have the guy who does the bangers write every one because not everyone can be a banger.

fux mcclit: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: I got one!

BARFINGLEON: Yeah.

fux mcclit: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah. I think the first the first two seasons were very clever of Sherlock, though.

Robot: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: I think so.

Steve-O: clever.

fux mcclit: Yeah.

Steve-O: it's fun. That's good time.

BARFINGLEON: They were fine. And then the third, whatever the third abortion was, that that that was too much, obviously.

Steve-O: Yeah.

Steve-O: Yeah.

fux mcclit: With the wedding and everything.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, that was.

fux mcclit: Ugh.

BARFINGLEON: And then the the period piece episode where it's in the past.

fux mcclit: Ugh.

BARFINGLEON: Oh, God, that was bad.

Steve-O: And we didn't trade Benedict Cumberbatch back.

fux mcclit: Gross.

Steve-O: We kept him.

BARFINGLEON: Well, we kept him because he got locked into Marvel.

Steve-O: Fuck, man. Dude, we should have locked in Hugh Laurie in a Marvel.

BARFINGLEON: I know. Doctor Strange, i think he would known a little better.

Steve-O: That would have been fun. Oh, my God.

BARFINGLEON: I would have been a little better.

Steve-O: Just like a really fucking grumpy Doctor Strange.

BARFINGLEON: Devin, I think it would have been a little better.

Robot: I know, I know.

BARFINGLEON: think it would have been a little better.

Robot: What do you want me to say?

BARFINGLEON: I'm just saying, bro.

Robot: i don't have control over those things.

BARFINGLEON: Why we trade him, Devin? That's all I'm saying.

Robot: I know, I know, I know. you know what? you know what i i So I've been talking about this, or I've been trying, i guess, not to talk about this, but like I've been like i've been in like a video game funk.

Robot: maybe just a funking general and my my kind of coping mechanism has been like playing space marine 2 like multiplayer like a lot at right right right so i mentioned it but i've been doing it for like two months now and i'm like no i'm just i'm just for the love of the game baby but um

BARFINGLEON: you been You talked about this last week, too.

BARFINGLEON: Are you getting paid to do this, though?

Steve-O: Yeah, isn't it sponsorship?

BARFINGLEON: Shit.

Steve-O: is like my dude wipe sponsorship that I don't have.

Robot: is running it out you're running shit so no no so i i've been doing that right but i'm like dude i i think i gotta i need a break i need to change the scenery so uh i bit the bullet there was a sale and then i chose to buy nothing that was on sale uh and i bought god of war sons of sparta and power wash simulator too um because power wash is

Steve-O: Okay.

BARFINGLEON: Wipe your butt at least 50 times.

Steve-O: Okay.

fux mcclit: And Powerwatch Simulator 2 is better, right?

Robot: I haven't put enough time into it, but Power Wash Simulator is a wonderful audiobook slash podcast game.

fux mcclit: Dang.

Robot: Like, you're just just vibing out and doing that. But...

fux mcclit: Yeah.

Robot: Yeah, no, I finally said, you know, I'm going to give Sons a Sparta a shot. I knew I was going to buy it. I just was like, I couldn't convince myself to buy it like day zero without at least hearing how it was.

Robot: um And I think people are saying that's like a seven. I think some, maybe the Metacritic scores somewhere in the sevens. um I think it it's a little bit higher than that.

Robot: This is a pretty good game.

Steve-O: This the one that looks like a fucking like mobile game from like the early two thousand

Robot: do.

Robot: See, that's the problem, right? Is it looks a lot better than you think when you're actually playing it. But to me, a lot of it's in like the design, like the designs aren't that interesting.

fux mcclit: Thank you.

Robot: Like Kratos is interesting because he's white skinned and has these fucking blades attached to his arms and he's whirling around.

BARFINGLEON: Oh, boy.

Robot: He's doing dope shit. you're playing like 15 year old Kratos who has a shaved head and a toga and a spear and shield. And it's like, listen, they're trying this.

Robot: The plot's not super interesting, but it's not uninteresting. And yeah.

BARFINGLEON: So if you don't mind, um what I'm gathering here is when he gets darker, you don't like him?

Robot: No, it's no, no, no.

Steve-O: Oh, Devin.

Robot: Because he's even interesting he,

fux mcclit: Damn. Damn.

Robot: he

fux mcclit: damn

Robot: He's an adult, though when he's still dark. He's still interesting. But it's just he gets super interesting when, the you know, the ashes of his family are put on his skin forever.

BARFINGLEON: Oh, okay.

Robot: That's that's pretty hard to top.

BARFINGLEON: Okay. That's just wanted to clarify that.

Robot: And I don't think I don't think you can make that a race thing. I think that's just objectively more interesting. I mean, hey, who am I? Who am I to say? Right. when an old Greek witch curses you, you know, who who am I?

Robot: Right. um But it's like a, it's like a Metro Metroidvania esque type game. This game is shockingly fucking hard that, or I'm pretty bad at these types of games.

Robot: It could be a mix of both, but I'm just, I'm running around going in these areas, just doing dope shit. Um,

fux mcclit: Thank you.

Robot: Yeah, it's it's been kind of my game for the last like week or so. And it's it's been a solid time. I'd say this is definitely not... The problem is is I think people are like super down on it because it's not a fucking generational 93 plus type of game like 2018 and Ragnarok were.

Robot: And even some of the PS2 games. But it's like I'm like, dude, I don't know, man. I'm just... I'm digging it. It's scratching an itch. It's the voice acting. It's pretty solid. um It's just like visually it's not super interesting and the combat is not bad, but there's like some decisions that are made with both button layout and just like, don't know.

Robot: Everything's like two fucking squid, not squishy, but like it's the opposite, right? Everything's like a, Like a meat shield. Like ah it's, it takes too many hits to fucking kill any.

Steve-O: too tanky.

Robot: yeah Yeah. Everything's just like too tanky. And I'm like, come on, Like, let me get out of this. So I'm digging, I'm at the point where I have like most of the upgrades in terms of navigation.

Robot: So now just going back to all the areas and doing some of my worst habits, which is like, I could have beat the game two days ago, but like,

Steve-O: You're a completionist, dude.

Robot: Yeah, it's it's irritating. um

Steve-O: Plus also, like you're saying, like there's a gaming drought right now. you know After Requiem, you know there's not much to touch.

Robot: Yeah, like Crimson Desert was like kind of a

BARFINGLEON: the hell are you playing, Steve?

Steve-O: um Again, like gaming drought a little bit. I'm waiting um in six days the Tomodachi life for the Switch comes out. and I'm excited to make some some guys in that and see the Sims-like nonsense spawn from it.

BARFINGLEON: Steve, i don't want to make guys. When when is that Forbidden Solitaire game coming out?

Steve-O: Oh, that's coming out this month too.

BARFINGLEON: Is it really?

Steve-O: Oh yeah, dude. So you'll be doing that.

Robot: Oh, Steve, are you still... had If you don't want to get super deep into it, I understand, but like are you still kind of deep into the Dead by Daylight stuff?

Steve-O: Yeah.

Robot: Aren't they like coming out with like a big change coming?

Steve-O: Yeah. Um, you know, they're doing, they're doing updates all the time. Uh, they're most,

Robot: feel like at read something like... like oh it's like 10 years are coming up, but I feel like they're doing like a reboot, but like...

Steve-O: No. So just this week, they said um to IGN that they would never do a Dead by Daylight 2.

Robot: Like a two, right? Yeah, yeah.

Steve-O: So they're focusing on their game.

Robot: I'm sorry. yeah They're doing a, this is what I was reading, a significant matchmaking rework.

Steve-O: like the

Robot: A reimagination of how the game is played is what, yeah, I'll post it, but I don't know.

Steve-O: I have not heard this.

Robot: They're just like, yeah, we've been doing this for like 10 years. We're going to switch some things up a little bit.

BARFINGLEON: We're going to put the slobs with the sweats.

Steve-O: Yeah, they're they've been they've been tinkering stuff a little bit. They're trying to implement new balance stuff, um you know adding new maps, seeing what works, what doesn't work. so ah

Robot: Yeah, upcoming.

Steve-O: I'm excited to see what they have for the 10th anniversary.

Robot: weeks

Steve-O: I'm hoping that this is the year we get Jason.

BARFINGLEON: Mmm.

Robot: Yeah.

Steve-O: Unfortunately, they just lost Mike Myers and Pinhead.

BARFINGLEON: Borees?

Steve-O: um

Robot: Well, well, like, well, what if you already bought them?

Steve-O: If you already bought them, you get to keep them forever. It's just any new players who come to dead by daylight will not be able to get the Halloween chapter because of the new Halloween game.

Robot: OK.

Robot: I was wondering because of the Halloween game.

Steve-O: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: Steve scenario. You get a Jason. It's Jason Sudeikis. You get Ted Lasso. It's called the coach.

Steve-O: I'm in. I'm in.

BARFINGLEON: All right.

Steve-O: That sounds like, you know what? It's going to be a hoot and a holler of a time. I know others would be upset, but at least, you know, you get that little accent.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, he's fine.

BARFINGLEON: Taps that sign.

Steve-O: The problem though, is if you hit him with a pallet, he gets a panic attack and that would be rough.

BARFINGLEON: That's this. That's Maury.

BARFINGLEON: Calls his wife.

Robot: All right.

Steve-O: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: That's all right.

Robot: All

BARFINGLEON: That's a good pick.

Steve-O: But, you know, definitely stuff to check in on throughout the year.

Robot: right. Solid. so No, that was just, i was in yeah.

Steve-O: Yeah.

Robot: what What did he say specifically? It's a game about scenarios, game about being matched.

Steve-O: i'm looking I'm looking for other things coming out this month.

Robot: Okay, just matchmaking stuff.

Steve-O: On the 17th, Pragmata comes out, which is, again, ah Capcom, you get one in February, you get one in April. Come on, guys. Save some room for the other gamers.

Robot: yeah ah um'm I'm telling you you guys should should at least try the demo. Just to get a handle on how the fucking combat works.

Steve-O: I saw their little April Fool's joke.

Robot: does it

Robot: Yeah, yeah. Joke as in parenthesis.

BARFINGLEON: Leon's got a wig.

Steve-O: AKA costume for Mega Man in Pragmata. Those are dirty dogs.

Robot: Those dirty dogs.

Steve-O: And then next month, May, you got Lego Batman coming out and you, come on, come on.

BARFINGLEON: like bad man

Robot: Oh, okay.

Steve-O: Absolute Batman costume.

Robot: Okay.

Steve-O: Come on. Absolute Batman Lego.

BARFINGLEON: Does he really have one?

Steve-O: No, they got I'm saying I'm begging for it.

BARFINGLEON: Whew. oh st

Steve-O: Give me a big old, like the Hulk Lego.

Steve-O: If they don't, I'll be disappointed.

BARFINGLEON: Everybody's got be pushing that now.

Steve-O: Also Forza Horizon 6 coming out on in May.

BARFINGLEON: Fart. So you got to fart.

Steve-O: So I'm going to be driving around in in Japan. It's going to look nice, I bet.

BARFINGLEON: Art to Horizon 5. Farting for a dream.

Steve-O: So Devin, I was begging you before the podcast. I said, Devin, Devin, do you got any more boat game for us?

Robot: You were begging me.

Robot: I do have, I'm actually putting, it's funny you say that. ah The finishing touches as I'm doing a double check right now.

Steve-O: Hmm.

Steve-O: Oh, double check in, double check in the boat game. So if you are not familiar with our previous two, I'm i'm trying to remember the name of it.

Robot: Yeah.

Steve-O: ah You call it sink or swim.

Robot: I call it sink or swim. Yeah.

Steve-O: I like, I love it.

Robot: Sink or swim.

Steve-O: That's kind of a good, good game show name.

BARFINGLEON: Sink or swim. Yeah, that's fair.

Steve-O: But what Devin does for us is Devin gives us a scenario where we are on a lifeboat. Each of us have our own lifeboat. There's only room for two other ah people on the lifeboat and we are going around and we are saving, um beloved movies, beloved games, but anything we don't give a rat's butt about, we kind of just let it sink.

Steve-O: So

BARFINGLEON: Alert. Alert. We ate Tim in the last game, so no more Tim's booing.

Robot: We did Tim's dinghy officially.

Steve-O: no more Tim's buoy, no more Tim's dinghy.

BARFINGLEON: Dingy, excuse me.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, both those things are gone.

Steve-O: All of Tim's gone.

Robot: So, so I took a list.

fux mcclit: alert alert

Robot: um I think it was initially 75 plus. I've cut it down. I cut it down to about 23.

BARFINGLEON: Ooh, that's a hefty one.

Robot: That's

BARFINGLEON: That's probably the biggest one we've done thus far, correct?

Robot: that's what I mean. So I cut it down because there's a lot of stuff I just knew wasn't going to make the cut. So it's like, listen, listen, No one's going to swing for this, so we don't want to worry about it.

Robot: But um I chose to do video games that are within the seven. so there's a term i've I've heard on the Internet, and I'm a fan of this.

Robot: It's called swimming in sevens.

fux mcclit: Seven. Swimming in six sevens.

Robot: so So women in sevens, there's some notable sevens on here. Now, again, but the range 2000 to or

Robot: Yeah, so early 2000s.

BARFINGLEON: Okay.

Robot: I had, so earlier, you know, when I was kind of prepping some of this stuff, I was trying to do the 90s. But the issue is what i I thought it was. And it's like Metacritic wasn't a thing until 2001. So we were dealing with a lot of like skewed scores and it just kind of wasn't.

BARFINGLEON: Like the 70s were really bad.

Robot: Yeah, like a lot of games were like 94, but they had 12 reviews instead of like 170 reviews.

BARFINGLEON: If there were any.

BARFINGLEON: Gotcha.

Robot: like So, i you know, I said, let's just do kind don't want to say slap this together, but, ah you know.

BARFINGLEON: Fair.

BARFINGLEON: ah Devin, ah the last video game, or Swim, we did, was that 2010 to 2020? What was that?

Robot: I believe so. um and me see.

BARFINGLEON: Okay. Okay. Just so I know, I'm getting some reference.

Robot: Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, yeah, so this is this is a new new decade for games.

BARFINGLEON: New decade.

Robot: Uh, cause I think we did two.

BARFINGLEON: And you said the sevens, right? Seven Ds on Metacritic.

Robot: Yeah. Sevens. So, and I think we kind of did this with movies last week, I think about maybe, maybe even the decade was different because last week we, so hold on, Chris, you saved.

BARFINGLEON: Was that 70s too?

Robot: Oh man.

BARFINGLEON: The other guys and...

Robot: Yeah. There's Tim's dinghy. Okay.

BARFINGLEON: Oh, Dread.

Robot: Wait,

BARFINGLEON: I say the other guys and Dread.

Robot: Oh, okay, yeah. so We did we did um whatever era, Fallout New Vegas, Dead Space, Dead Rising, Left 4 Dead.

Steve-O: It's like 2010 to 2019, I believe.

Robot: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Truth.

Robot: yeah

BARFINGLEON: Truth.

Robot: Oh, no.

Steve-O: You okay?

Robot: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hold on.

Steve-O: Oh, not okay.

Robot: Hold on.

fux mcclit: Oh

BARFINGLEON: You checking your math?

fux mcclit: 2000, 2009.

Steve-O: Uh-oh.

BARFINGLEON: do You checking your math?

Robot: No, I just want to make sure that I didn't goof.

BARFINGLEON: Checking to make sure. Check that list.

Steve-O: These are all the same games again. Oh, no.

Robot: No, no, no, they're not. They're not.

BARFINGLEON: He's going Santa Claus this. Check that list twice.

Robot: Okay. oh god All right. So again, to clarify, 2000, 2009, Metacritic score within 70 to 79.

Robot: All right.

BARFINGLEON: Wonderful.

Robot: And again, the rules, we'll just quickly state.

fux mcclit: nine

Robot: The ship is sinking.

BARFINGLEON: John, pop that Zinn, bud.

fux mcclit: yeah We didn't do this decade already?

Robot: Each player only gets...

BARFINGLEON: No, no, we did 2010, 2019.

Robot: No, we did it for movies, I think.

BARFINGLEON: And then and then movies we did.

Robot: Oh, no, no, no. I'm sorry. Yeah, we never we have not done Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, we have not for anything.

Robot: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

BARFINGLEON: So.

Robot: I found i found both a previous lists. That's why.

BARFINGLEON: Everybody pop your Zins, all right?

Robot: So, again, the ship is sinking. Each player only gets two spots on the lifeboat.

fux mcclit: let me do that.

Robot: We're going through the list one by one. We are playing with sink or swim for each game. Once the Spock are filled, you must lobby, bribe, guilt trip, or dramatically plead with other players to save your remaining favorite.

fux mcclit: Let me freshen up.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, freshen up.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah,

Robot: No mercy. The water's cold. Choose wisely. Try to choose wisely. Okay.

fux mcclit: Freshen up those lip pillows, guys.

Robot: Yeah.

fux mcclit: Let's do this.

Robot: And I'm pulling up.

BARFINGLEON: let's start kissing some ass. That's really what this is all about.

Steve-O: Oh my god.

Robot: Yeah, and I'm pulling up the the original.

fux mcclit: Yeah, damn.

Robot: i thought I'm so glad. I thought I deleted the original list, but I didn't.

Steve-O: You gotta hold on to those now.

Robot: I know.

Steve-O: That's gold.

Robot: So we're going to do Chris, Steve, John, Devin.

fux mcclit: Tim's dinghy.

Robot: In order of...

BARFINGLEON: By the way, ah both of these games, both these games, fellas, I want to say, ah for both for both of these games we played, the date

Steve-O: No, Tim's ding is gone, John.

Robot: Dude.

fux mcclit: are you deleting Tim's dinghy?

Steve-O: We ate him

Robot: We ate him last week.

fux mcclit: So it's Stin's lifeboat now.

Steve-O: thins dingy

BARFINGLEON: the the day after in the shower, i over I thought about it again. Totally locked in on all of them. So we did we did really well.

Robot: like you felt good?

BARFINGLEON: I felt good about everything, yeah. I was happy with everybody's decisions.

Steve-O: Yeah, i feel like we haven't made a mistake yet.

BARFINGLEON: I think you we're we're pristine.

Robot: I think we made a mistake when we ate Alcuria Chronicles.

fux mcclit: Yeah, you know what that means? I think it's too easy for you. I think 6-7 is...

BARFINGLEON: You think so?

fux mcclit: I think you gotta go lower, dude.

Steve-O: Six, Devon.

fux mcclit: if Especially if it's Metacritic.

BARFINGLEON: We might. I think, i think well well, let's see after this. I think that's the important let miss.

Steve-O: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

fux mcclit: Okay.

Steve-O: Don't worry. We'll get to the six sevens at some point.

Robot: Man.

BARFINGLEON: Because I want to be in the shower tomorrow. i want to be like, what the fuck was Steve thinking?

fux mcclit: Yeah, I think we gotta reverse the process and try to save the worst of worst.

Steve-O: Make it harder.

fux mcclit: Try to go that way. try to go that way

Steve-O: Oh, you want to do like a nightmare one.

fux mcclit: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: Garbage trowel out in the ocean, picking up garbage.

fux mcclit: Upside down.

Robot: Hmm. Hmm. Hmm. All right. I'm definitely seeing some false flags here.

BARFINGLEON: Uh-oh. Uh-oh.

Steve-O: Uh-oh.

Robot: um

BARFINGLEON: Not real.

fux mcclit: Oh, yeah. Plus, Devin's fucking cooking the books, too.

BARFINGLEON: it

fux mcclit: Don't forget that, guys.

BARFINGLEON: He is, he has a lot of editorial control.

fux mcclit: He's

Steve-O: these are the These are Devin's books.

Robot: i just thought, I don't know where, and I asked it to re

fux mcclit: cooking them.

Robot: <unk>-oo tu-ta-oo maybe these are bad examples though. Cause I said, can you double check this? And I said, sure.

BARFINGLEON: No foreign films, please.

Robot: get out of here.

BARFINGLEON: He's already

fux mcclit: No foreign or animated movies or musicals.

Robot: All

BARFINGLEON: out there.

Steve-O: It has to be American.

Robot: right, hold on. I'm just doing some quick cleanup because I saw to to give you a very fair example.

fux mcclit: See, this is he's cooking the books, guys.

Robot: I saw Halo Combat Evolved here and I was like, there's absolutely no fucking way Halo Combat Evolved is a seven.

fux mcclit: Saving it. Saving it.

Robot: It will, like I said, get in the very good.

BARFINGLEON: he's already out there

Robot: All right, so I've done some, I've done some

fux mcclit: Saving it, baby.

Steve-O: He's swimming. He's swimming.

BARFINGLEON: but

Robot: yeah I'm doing one more check here. and then And then we're just going to see where it lies, you know?

BARFINGLEON: Come on, Devon, I just popped zen.

fux mcclit: yeah keep cook keep keep keep those ah Keep those books over the fires over there, dude.

BARFINGLEON: I'm in my zone here.

fux mcclit: Keep doing it.

Steve-O: Cooked books.

Robot: Again, for example, it said Soulcalibur 2. And I was like, there's fucking no Soulcalibur 2.

Steve-O: There's no way. What is this list? What is this list?

Robot: That's what I mean.

Steve-O: Come

Robot: I was like, we need to...

Steve-O: on, man.

BARFINGLEON: right, well, i understand that.

Robot: I don't...

BARFINGLEON: I understand he...

Robot: Okay. Okay.

BARFINGLEON: him curating this...

Robot: Okay, I've removed about five of them already, so we're just going to go. um

Robot: And we're just going to fucking spin it.

BARFINGLEON: Spin your wheel, wheel man.

Robot: We're going to spin it. Where's the... Okay.

Steve-O: like doko duoo doka doo tuoo

Robot: All right, all right. First spin, first spin.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, we need a sound effect. What did you say? Did you say Jack?

Robot: I want to double-check all these. Jack 2, 2003.

BARFINGLEON: the

fux mcclit: bo boger puga butger but bo but

Robot: two thousand and three

Steve-O: Oh, that's actually a really good start.

BARFINGLEON: what did you say

Robot: Jack 2.

Steve-O: That's not a bad one to start.

fux mcclit: Oh, yeah, that's a that's a really good start.

Robot: two

fux mcclit: Pass.

BARFINGLEON: did you say jack

Robot: Yeah, jack like Jack and Daxter? Jack 2?

BARFINGLEON: Oh, oh, Jak and Daxter. um Yeah.

fux mcclit: Oh, shit, you meant Jack and Dax or Jack?

BARFINGLEON: Okay, yeah, pass.

fux mcclit: Pass. Pass.

BARFINGLEON: That's what John, John's speaking my language

Robot: ah Also incorrect, it's an 87 on Metacritic. I don't know why it's on this list.

fux mcclit: Oh, yeah. Keep cooking those fucking books.

BARFINGLEON: language.

Steve-O: Dude, these books.

fux mcclit: Wow.

BARFINGLEON: This man can survive this these waters.

fux mcclit: You know, why don't we save all everybody all the time and just say we all lose, Devin, because that's what you're doing right now.

Steve-O: Dude, it

fux mcclit: You're trying to make us all lose.

Robot: All right, hold on. I'm just going to double check this one. This one completely inaccurate. I hate this list. um You know what? Fuck it. We're just going to call this the little mishmash list.

Robot: um

BARFINGLEON: Don't miss me!

Robot: The years are correct, I believe. Metroid Prime 2 Echoes.

Robot: Metroid Prime 2.

fux mcclit: Oh, we're doing 90s now?

Robot: No, we're just doing a mishmash because I can't trust any of these numbers.

fux mcclit: Dang.

BARFINGLEON: Let go.

fux mcclit: If we're doing a mishmash, I'd rather roll my dice.

Steve-O: Yeah, ting

Robot: All right.

fux mcclit: See what's going on later.

Robot: All right. yeah know Maybe in the future I'll just do mishmash because I can't trust these numbers.

BARFINGLEON: Let go.

Steve-O: yeah we don't care about decades or numbers, man.

Robot: Okay. Well, you know what?

Steve-O: This is just corpses.

Robot: Burnout three.

Steve-O: this is

Robot: Burnout three takedown.

Steve-O: That's a good one.

Robot: That's a great one.

Steve-O: done Don't forget you got spots.

fux mcclit: Then why don't you save it then, Devin? Yeah.

Robot: Pass. Um...

Steve-O: Wow, OK.

BARFINGLEON: <unk>e Goodbye. Goodbye.

Steve-O: Oh,

Robot: wem Sorry, you're sinking.

fux mcclit: Yeah, because he knows. He sees the fucking future. He's fucking Nostradamus right now.

BARFINGLEON: Don't let the good Lord hit you what where he split you.

Robot: Well, I cut out a bunch that I wouldn't have cut out 10 minutes ago, but know what are you going to do?

BARFINGLEON: He he he he

Steve-O: man. ah

Robot: um All right, so there are 16 left.

Robot: Resistance, fall of man. Big resistant heads here.

fux mcclit: why

Steve-O: um man

fux mcclit: that That game's a fucking joke.

Robot: Yeah.

fux mcclit: I would be disgusted if any of you guys fucking save that game.

Robot: Alright.

BARFINGLEON: Let it sink down to the deep and see Davy Jones.

Robot: We're syncing it.

BARFINGLEON: like

Steve-O: what was the um What was the other one that was supposedly the Halo killer? What was that? Hive?

Robot: Killzone.

Steve-O: Killzone?

Robot: Yeah. But I... ah There wasn't that yellow game in that game where like you're drinking yellow ooze.

BARFINGLEON: What about fear? What about fear? You guys remember fear?

Robot: Anyway, ah Devil May Cry 3.

BARFINGLEON: It's so scary.

Robot: The

Robot: the best Devil May Cry game.

BARFINGLEON: Oh, no.

Steve-O: Nah.

fux mcclit: Yeah, that sounds about right, Chris.

Robot: ah Wow. All right. There's of fucking haters in here.

fux mcclit: him die.

BARFINGLEON: Let it drown.

Robot: ah

Steve-O: Let it drown.

Robot: This I do think is actually in the 70s.

fux mcclit: Let him die.

Robot: Devil May Cry 2.

fux mcclit: let him die

Robot: The worst one.

Steve-O: Let him die.

Robot: All right. We're passing on that.

Steve-O: Anakin.

BARFINGLEON: hu

Robot: The potentially underrated Silent Hill 4. The Room.

fux mcclit: Let him die.

Steve-O: Dead. yeah

Robot: All right. We have 12 left.

fux mcclit: Let them all die.

Steve-O: Dude, we might just have we might just have spots on the boat.

fux mcclit: more room for me, baby.

Robot: Jam Fight for New York.

Steve-O: Devin,

Robot: i'm keep If no one's taking this, I'm taking this.

Steve-O: that's yours to take.

fux mcclit: Yeah.

Robot: That's fucking disgusting.

fux mcclit: You know what, Tevin? Why don't you have five spots and you could take you can take my spots.

Robot: fucking this scoing

fux mcclit: You take my spots.

Steve-O: What's disgusting? Why are you judging us for games that you played?

fux mcclit: Yeah, and you're doing random, so it's not like

Robot: We all played Def Jam. No, no.

Steve-O: We can't pick these.

BARFINGLEON: No, no, we didn't.

Robot: You guys didn't play Fight for New York?

BARFINGLEON: I didn't.

Steve-O: You're the one who played it. You're the one. That's you.

BARFINGLEON: You're the only one here.

Steve-O: We would go over your house to watch you play and root you on.

Robot: No, Steve. I specifically i specifically remember Steve playing this game.

Steve-O: No, I came over and played it at your house.

BARFINGLEON: he Steve unplugged his room is remote.

Robot: You know what? You're a bad friend.

BARFINGLEON: Controller, he reblogged it.

Robot: um god um You're all bad friends.

Steve-O: I'm not bad friend. You know what? You came over my house and played games.

Robot: No, I never did that.

Steve-O: You know what, Devin? You know what, Devin? Spin it.

Robot: I did. Mortal Kombat Deception.

Steve-O: Oh, come on. Fucking deception? No.

fux mcclit: Yeah, this is a waste of time now.

BARFINGLEON: What the?

fux mcclit: don't even want to.

Robot: This is the...

fux mcclit: Yeah. one, Devin.

Steve-O: What are we picking through, like, the corpses of hell?

Steve-O: Devin.

Robot: but said Listen. Listen.

BARFINGLEON: What is that sound?

Steve-O: It's the spin it from Bop It.

fux mcclit: yeah

BARFINGLEON: It sounds like a demon. That's what it's like.

Steve-O: Yeah.

Steve-O: You know what what? I think today's the day Devin learned we all played different games growing up.

Robot: It's the best one.

BARFINGLEON: It's the best one!

fux mcclit: Good one, David.

BARFINGLEON: Actually. There

Robot: ah Perfect Dark Zero.

fux mcclit: I'll save that one.

BARFINGLEON: go. Gotta keep her.

fux mcclit: I'll save it for the presentation.

Robot: All right.

Steve-O: That's a pity. That's a pity save.

fux mcclit: yeah and on the lamelight Because that song's and in it. It's a good song.

Robot: Also, John's got a weird...

Steve-O: Oh, you know what? That would be interesting if we saved the song's best on which ones had the best banger song in it.

Robot: John has a weird weak spot, soft spot for perfect part.

BARFINGLEON: Oh, the devil may cry with

Steve-O: Yeah, we'd we'd have to go back to Deloitte.

fux mcclit: You know what? Here, i'll I'll send you guys the link of the song. It's fuck it's a fucking banger, bro.

Steve-O: But is it as good as when you walk away? Please spit

BARFINGLEON: Mmm. Mmm. Mmm.

BARFINGLEON: oh

Robot: Assassin's Creed

fux mcclit: Put this song on, Steve.

Steve-O: I'm listening right now.

fux mcclit: No, put it on the... Put it so everyone can hear it.

Steve-O: I can't do that. i'd have to Download the song.

fux mcclit: Oh, dang it. We don't have the technology.

BARFINGLEON: This one has my name on it.

fux mcclit: Didn't take that long.

BARFINGLEON: Over seven? Sweet.

BARFINGLEON: I rolled Chris.

fux mcclit: What'd you get?

fux mcclit: You rolled a Chris?

BARFINGLEON: Yo, I rolled 20, yo! Yo! Easy.

Steve-O: He rolled a Chris crit who wants to save mass effect three.

fux mcclit: Not me. I hate that game.

Steve-O: No, Devin.

Robot: I mean, technically my boat's full, but I took Kingdom Hearts and Def Jam, two games you guys have never heard of or played.

Steve-O: Wait, where, where did you take?

fux mcclit: No, it's a new game.

Steve-O: I'm familiar.

fux mcclit: It's a new game.

fux mcclit: Right? I thought this new game.

Steve-O: anybody want, yeah, you know what, Devin, I'm going to give you two.

Robot: There could be something else. There could be something better.

Steve-O: I'm going to give you two more spots for your boat.

Robot: i know, but I'm saying there still could be something better.

Steve-O: Okay.

Robot: Wait, all actually, we is the caveat...

Steve-O: Okay.

Robot: I don't have a D20, so Chris is going to have to roll for my D20.

BARFINGLEON: Okay, I'll roll for Devin.

Steve-O: Okay.

fux mcclit: a wand.

Robot: Does it come with all of the DLC for Mass Effect 3?

BARFINGLEON: who

Steve-O: Yeah.

fux mcclit: It's a wand. I can see it from here.

fux mcclit: It's a wand.

Steve-O: This one just says Mass Effect 3 2012.

Robot: going to say no, though.

fux mcclit: ah You rolled a 1, Devin. Critical failure.

Robot: Yeah, I guess I rolled a one.

fux mcclit: Sorry, dog.

Steve-O: Oh, no. Yeah, I'm sorry.

BARFINGLEON: yeah Devin, which, which which ah first of all, which game are you kicking out?

Robot: Well, if I have a new boat, I'm not kicking anything.

Steve-O: Oh, yeah.

BARFINGLEON: Oh, you got...

Steve-O: I'm giving you. I'm giving Devin two fresh seats. Two fresh boat spots.

Robot: I'll tell you this. I'm not kicking anything out.

BARFINGLEON: Oh, you getting two fresh eats?

Robot: Apparently. I'm not kicking anything out for Mass Effect 3.

Steve-O: Two fresh seats.

BARFINGLEON: Okay.

Robot: But if I had a fresh boat, it would still depend on if Mass Effect 3 had all the DLC or not.

Steve-O: You know what? I'm going to let you kick people off your boat because there is one that I know you're going to want to take.

Robot: I'm not kicking anybody. All right all right. Fair, but I'm still not kicking anybody out for Mass Effect 3.

Steve-O: I know there's one you're going to want to take. There's one you're going to kill someone in your boat for. um Assassin's Creed 2.

Robot: Ooh, that's a great one.

BARFINGLEON: Oh.

fux mcclit: Ooh, that's a game I'll never play in my life. Why would I save it if I never intend to play a game in that franchise?

Steve-O: All right. It's going once, going twice, gone.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, I can let it go.

Steve-O: ah Any takers for MDK?

Robot: Oh my god, what what is the range here?

BARFINGLEON: Murder, death, kill?

fux mcclit: Ha ha ha ha

Steve-O: Dude, this is, I just put, I i have a random game generator and I click the button.

BARFINGLEON: came so fucking hard.

fux mcclit: ah Part of me wants to save it.

Robot: Okay, all right, all right.

fux mcclit: Part of me wants to save it just

BARFINGLEON: That game is so hard.

Steve-O: You don't want it? Nobody's saving it?

Robot: That was David, MDK, dude?

BARFINGLEON: That game is so hard.

Robot: gateated

Steve-O: Then how about Half-Life 2?

BARFINGLEON: ah Saving it.

Steve-O: You're saving it?

BARFINGLEON: Yeah.

Steve-O: All right. Chris has Half-Life 2 in the boat, and you also have...

BARFINGLEON: My boat's filled.

Steve-O: Okay.

BARFINGLEON: have to do What?

Steve-O: Chris's boat's full. We got to get some...

Robot: Wait, what's your other one, Chris?

BARFINGLEON: it I that

Steve-O: System Shock 2, because he rolled that in at 20.

Robot: Oh, fuck. But I'm not allowed to roll for DLC for Mass Effect 3.

Steve-O: And we need to get... We need to get some stuff for John.

Robot: Okay.

Steve-O: ah How about The Sims 3, John?

fux mcclit: No, no thanks.

Steve-O: No, nothing for... Nothing that. Sim City 2000?

fux mcclit: What the fuck? No. How

Steve-O: Okay. Well, how about Super Mario Brothers?

BARFINGLEON: All right.

fux mcclit: about SimCity 17?

Steve-O: The original Mario Brothers.

fux mcclit: Because I didn't like Mario Galaxy, the movie. No, I will not save that game.

Steve-O: Wow, you're punishing Mario.

Robot: also I'll be honest, man.

fux mcclit: Yeah.

Robot: There's so many better examples. There's so many better games than Super Mario.

Steve-O: Now, what about Final Fantasy X2?

Robot: There you are.

fux mcclit: Oh, yes.

Robot: Ooh.

fux mcclit: I'll save it all day. Another banger of a song. Actually, that has like six bangers of songs.

Steve-O: Wait, so John, your boat's filled now.

fux mcclit: That's like Perfect Dark Zero times six.

Robot: So John's Boat's full.

Steve-O: Your boat's filled. You have Perfect W-Zero and Final Fantasy egg too

Robot: Perfect Dark.

fux mcclit: Good. I'm glad. and I'm perfectly happy with it.

Robot: Steve, is your boat... At all populate populated? At least... Ew.

Steve-O: X2. You know what? I forgot about me. I'm going to lie. forgot about me. Can I swim back and get Mario Brothers?

fux mcclit: Two underrated games.

Robot: Alright. Alright.

Steve-O: Devin, here's one that you might have to throw someone out of your boat for.

fux mcclit: Perfect Dark Zero.

Robot: Okay.

Steve-O: Final Fantasy 7.

fux mcclit: God of War 20.

Robot: No.

fux mcclit: No, it's not that good.

Steve-O: No.

Robot: No.

fux mcclit: And a remake the remake part one is better.

Robot: No. I'm keeping Depth Jam. Yeah, yeah. Steve, I got the remakes of the superior games.

Steve-O: Oh, damn.

fux mcclit: Yeah, the superior part of the game.

Robot: And i can scratch my I can scratch my Cloud Strife itch with Kingdom Hearts.

Steve-O: You got a cloud itch? You got a cloud scratch.

Robot: I mean, part of me is saying, would I throw... Because I feel like Final Fantasy VII will just be rescued by its its trauma team tag that it has.

Robot: Like, it doesn't need me to rescue Def Jam Fight for New York needs me to rescue it. Because it's a great game.

Steve-O: it needs

Robot: It needs me. So I'm going to let Trauma Team pick up FF7. Oh,

Steve-O: okay well I've got two left this one might have John kill one from his boat it's Red Dead Redemption 2010

Robot: come on. Of course you would. I'll be mad if you didn't throw out.

fux mcclit: which one i guess i threw out perfect yeah but that we just listened to that song it's so good yeah the the

Robot: Perfect Dark Zero, dude. Stomp that. It stinks.

Robot: Oh, I'm sorry.

Steve-O: Oh, but the Mexico song.

Robot: Better than than the Red Dead Redemption? yeah the Mexico song? Sigur Rios song?

BARFINGLEON: Poop out the Final Fantasy game.

fux mcclit: It's not even Sigur... It's not It's not even Sigur...

Robot: is way

fux mcclit: You fucking...

Steve-O: Stop.

fux mcclit: You fucking gorilla. It's not even... What the fuck are you...

Robot: hey Hey, tell me about Tony!

fux mcclit: What the fuck are you even talking about, dude?

BARFINGLEON: laughter

Robot: to be Does sing that song

fux mcclit: There's no Sigur... Song in that... In that soundtrack.

Robot: once Are you sure?

fux mcclit: I'm... I'm... I've never been more sure... In my life... About anything else... In in my life... Than that. Look it up.

Robot: I'm, I'm, trust me. i was on it.

fux mcclit: You're talking about the Far Away song, right? when you're When you're riding the horse.

Robot: Yeah. Who's that? who Jose.

fux mcclit: It's just some guy. It's just some guy.

Robot: The girls.

Steve-O: Wait, did you think that was Sigur Raws for this whole time?

fux mcclit: ah musician. You thought that was fucking Sigur Rós? Oh my god.

Steve-O: Oh.

fux mcclit: These are some of the times I wish Tim was on the podcast so he could suffer with me. But that there's that, yeah, I guess... If we're going... so If I'm...

fux mcclit: doing my own twist on everything and just going by soundtracks.

Robot: Jose Gonzalez, I was right. What is the faraway song?

fux mcclit: Yeah, you were right. It was it was not Sigur Rós.

Robot: Are

fux mcclit: fucking

Steve-O: Oh.

fux mcclit: You fucking ape.

Steve-O: Oh.

Robot: you an ignorant ape?

fux mcclit: um No, I mean, the argument is there that that Far Away song, the Compass song, you know, the song where where he goes back to the farm after Dutch dies, and then the end credit song is like,

BARFINGLEON: Yeah.

Robot: Yeah. yeah

fux mcclit: Like, those three songs, like, and then, you know, the funeral song that Uncle sings is like, um, or the Uncle, when Uncle dies.

Robot: The Sigur Rowe song, yeah.

fux mcclit: it's kind It's like, it's almost like it's comparable to Red Dead 2's soundtrack, which is elite. elite So yeah, I guess i I gotta throw out Perfect Dark Zero because Final Fantasy X-2 still has, like, six banger songs on that soundtrack.

Steve-O: Alright, hold on. I gotta look up the Metacritic score for Perfect Dark Zero.

fux mcclit: is is going to be pretty low compared to Red Dead.

Steve-O: Alright, it's got 81. So ah cur Chris is gonna roll for you.

fux mcclit: Oh, really?

Steve-O: Chris, you have to beat an 8.

fux mcclit: That's high.

Steve-O: You have to beat an 8. You have to beat an 8 to throw it out of the boat because it's gonna put up a little bit of a fight.

BARFINGLEON: An eight. Why are you holding numbers?

BARFINGLEON: here we go, John.

fux mcclit: Dang. Man.

BARFINGLEON: John, you rolled 19. ah nineteen

Steve-O: Yo, let's go.

fux mcclit: Oh, hell yeah.

Robot: Well, somebody's got some weighted dice over there, dude.

fux mcclit: Let's go. Sub crit.

Steve-O: Absolute thunder.

fux mcclit: Sub crit.

Steve-O: All right. So you toss perfect dark back into the cold, cold depth.

fux mcclit: And I get plus one. So it's basically a critical role because my luck is maxed out.

BARFINGLEON: unnatural crit

fux mcclit: Yeah, my my my luck is maxed out. so

Steve-O: You get Red Dead Redemption. And then the final game. Batman

fux mcclit: You're too smart for me, sister.

Steve-O: Arkham Asylum, and I'm going put that in my boat to finish off the boat.

BARFINGLEON: good save steve

fux mcclit: Polish that off.

Steve-O: There we go.

fux mcclit: Polish it off, Steve.

Steve-O: There we go.

Robot: Wait, is there anyone that is there anyone left? No, that was it, right?

Steve-O: No, we filled up our boats.

Robot: You're right.

BARFINGLEON: the

Robot: Sorry, Final Fantasy VII. Trauma team's just going to pick you up. It's fine.

BARFINGLEON: That's what, Devin, you keep telling yourself that.

Steve-O: So we're, we now have to decide which, which of the games we're going to eat.

Robot: that's That's the lie I'm telling you.

BARFINGLEON: That thing sounds a rock.

fux mcclit: Traumatiki. Traumatiki is good game.

Steve-O: So, uh,

Robot: Hmm.

fux mcclit: Name the games.

BARFINGLEON: The Final Fantasy game on Jon's boat.

Steve-O: Devin got Def Jam, Fight for New York, and um Kingdom Hearts 2.

Robot: Should...

BARFINGLEON: Oh, we need that. Yeah, we're going to need that.

Robot: Yeah, half

Steve-O: John, you got Red Dead Redemption and um Final Fantasy X2.

fux mcclit: Eating kings of hearts.

Steve-O: Chris, you took System Shock 2. Well, you took System Shock and you rolled nat 20 and it became System Shock 2.

BARFINGLEON: Roll Batman 20. At 5-2. We got 82.

Steve-O: It evolved. And then what was the other game you took?

BARFINGLEON: life too

Steve-O: Half-Life 2, then I chose Super Mario Brothers and Batman Arkham Asylum.

Robot: a minute.

Robot: How many are we eating?

fux mcclit: I say...

Robot: Two people? Two?

Steve-O: We have to eat two of these games.

BARFINGLEON: gotta eat true

Robot: I think...

fux mcclit: going to say Kingdom Hearts and...

Robot: I would say... Okay.

Steve-O: I would say Def Jam. Hold on.

Robot: No, I would say... Oh, you want to you only you want to eat the only black guy on the island?

fux mcclit: Def Jam and Kingdom Hearts.

Robot: All right.

Steve-O: hold on

BARFINGLEON: I don't

Robot: right. No, no, no. That's what you said.

fux mcclit: Wait, name the games again?

Robot: Half-Life 2, System Shock 2, Super Mario Bros., Batman Arkham Asylum, Red Dead Redemption, Final Fantasy X2, Def Jam, Fight for New York, Kingdom Hearts 2? No,

fux mcclit: I was hoping it to find another black pla

Robot: dude.

BARFINGLEON: know.

Robot: why why do you think ah why do you think Why do you think I didn't pick up

fux mcclit: guy. Oh, no!

BARFINGLEON: I say Final Fantasy X.

fux mcclit: yeah i say... What?

Robot: Yeah, X2 and then Mario Brothers.

Steve-O: Wow.

Robot: Too old.

fux mcclit: Clearly, you guys haven't played Final Fantasy X2.

Robot: well Too old, too weak.

Steve-O: Mario Brothers.

Robot: Yeah, too old, too weak.

BARFINGLEON: Not Mario Brothers. Def Jam. Def Jam, 100%.

Robot: Well, don't you do it, Chris.

BARFINGLEON: I'm going to eat that thing.

fux mcclit: I'm eating Kingdom Hearts, too.

Robot: That thing. she right

BARFINGLEON: I'm to eat both. I would eat King of Mark 2 if somebody else eats it.

Robot: I think we need a consensus. We need a consensus.

fux mcclit: Yeah, is donald is Donald Duck in Kingdom Hearts 2?

Steve-O: We need a consensus.

Steve-O: Oh, yeah.

Robot: Dude, why did you even...

Steve-O: Oh, yeah.

Robot: ah Hey, hey is does beethoven does Beethoven know how to conduct a symphony?

fux mcclit: Yo, Chris, how good...

BARFINGLEON: ah John, you've convinced me that Kingdom Hearts 2 should be eaten, so I'm on your side now.

fux mcclit: How good...

Robot: Yeah, Donald Ducks.

fux mcclit: Should be eaten pecking baby.

Robot: No, no. ah'll No, no. I refuse. I veto this.

BARFINGLEON: Since Devin cares so much about Def Jam, we're going to have to eat Kingdom Hearts 2. That's fair.

Robot: I veto... No, we'll eat Final Fantasy and that old string, old garbage meat, Mario Brothers.

fux mcclit: Why don't we roll then, Steve?

Robot: Okay, let's roll

Steve-O: Okay, all right um

Robot: Who's the piggy in this situation?

fux mcclit: I got a d20 somewhere.

Steve-O: right. Chris, you got the D20? All right, T?

BARFINGLEON: I got the D20. So, Devin, you would have to roll against me a win.

fux mcclit: What?

Robot: Okay.

Steve-O: Okay.

BARFINGLEON: So, whoever rolls the highest, I think. So, Devin, your vote is Final Fantasy and Super Mario Bros.

BARFINGLEON: 2? Was that what it was?

Robot: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Steve-O: No, just Super Mario Brothers, not T.

BARFINGLEON: Just Super Mario Bros.

Robot: Yeah, it's just...

Steve-O: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: John and myself's vote was Kingdom Hearts 2 and Death Shams.

Robot: You just want to eat my whole roll.

BARFINGLEON: he Yeah.

Steve-O: That's just his whole boat.

BARFINGLEON: yeah

fux mcclit: Yeah, kinda.

BARFINGLEON: Guys do.

fux mcclit: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah.

Steve-O: That's his whole boat.

BARFINGLEON: So, ah Devin, you'd have to beat my roll. So, would you like to roll first or second? I'm giving you that right.

Robot: Oh, man.

BARFINGLEON: Because you are so you solo.

Robot: I'll roll first.

BARFINGLEON: You're to roll first.

Robot: By the way, this is me fully. I fully am trusting the.

BARFINGLEON: I will give you...

Robot: Yeah. yeah Yeah, that's what I mean.

BARFINGLEON: I roleplayed for years. This is...

Robot: I'm not even sweating it.

fux mcclit: Yeah, you don't want me to roll.

BARFINGLEON: I'm actually going to clear the table.

fux mcclit: Because I wouldn't even waste the energy.

Robot: That's crazy.

fux mcclit: I would just say you rolled as three.

BARFINGLEON: I'm going clear the table.

fux mcclit: crazy, dog.

BARFINGLEON: There you go.

fux mcclit: You must be unlucky tonight. My bad.

BARFINGLEON: Nice flat surface.

BARFINGLEON: Devin, you rolled nat 20.

fux mcclit: light a lot

BARFINGLEON: All right.

Steve-O: Wow.

Robot: All right. I guess we got to match it, right?

fux mcclit: Yeah, but because...

BARFINGLEON: We got to match it.

fux mcclit: no, no, because Devin's luck, he gets minus, I think, minus six, right?

Robot: Yeah.

fux mcclit: Right, Steve?

BARFINGLEON: Is that how that works?

fux mcclit: Because because of his stats?

BARFINGLEON: no

fux mcclit: Yeah. Yeah.

Steve-O: You know what?

BARFINGLEON: Oh, yeah!

Steve-O: Yeah, I did look at some of the stats.

BARFINGLEON: That's right!

Steve-O: and

BARFINGLEON: who

Robot: I, um

BARFINGLEON: But we rolled an 8.

Steve-O: You rolled an eight, Chris.

fux mcclit: 21? Fuck. Fuck.

BARFINGLEON: We rolled an 8, but with our stats, that pushes us to 15, which is better than Devin's 14.

Robot: oh you rolled a 21. Uh...

fux mcclit: Fuck

BARFINGLEON: Oh, my!

fux mcclit: Fuck. Fuck Fuck. Fuck Fuck.

Steve-O: all right so hold on devon you choose which one do you want out the gate you get to pick the first one eaten

fux mcclit: Fuck Fuck Fuck

Robot: Wait, but I won the roll.

Steve-O: you won the roll so you get that you get to pick

BARFINGLEON: He did win.

Robot: I think, obviously, the easiest one to catch and eat would be the Mario Brothers. Also, that's a two-for-one deal.

BARFINGLEON: Okay, that's that's bold and and cold.

Robot: And then, um you know, maybe maybe I'm just in the mood for, you know, pop stars. And then we'll eat Final Fantasy X2 right after.

fux mcclit: Wow, you're killing the you're eating the only Asian representation in the entire...

Steve-O: Wow.

Robot: Yeah, because Kingdom Hearts 2 is not Asian at all.

fux mcclit: Is it, though?

Robot: Sora, Cloud Strife, Square Soft, Square Enix.

fux mcclit: ah Sora, brat light brown hair. Cloud Strife, blonde hair.

Robot: Hey, hey, don't do this to me.

fux mcclit: Keep going. Keep going.

Robot: I can find them. I can find them. Mulan, Mulan.

fux mcclit: Keep going.

fux mcclit: Okay.

Steve-O: Okay. Wait, what?

fux mcclit: Fair.

Steve-O: what

Robot: so yeah

fux mcclit: Fair.

Steve-O: Oh, from Disney? God damn.

Robot: it Wait, how many?

fux mcclit: yeah Okay. So Mulan cancels out Yuna. Sure. Keep going.

Robot: Wait, you were the only kind of remote.

BARFINGLEON: I still look at your boat, though.

Robot: Is there any other Asian characters in Fantasy X2?

BARFINGLEON: While I'm eating those, Devin, Devin, while I'm eating...

fux mcclit: Yeah. Titus.

Robot: He's not Asian. He's got blonde hair.

BARFINGLEON: Devin, while I'm eating those, I'm looking at your...

Robot: I don't like the direction this is going.

fux mcclit: Brown skin.

Robot: i just <unk> just now you know i You know what I don't like?

BARFINGLEON: I'm looking at your boat.

fux mcclit: He's not Asian.

Steve-O: His boat looks, his boat's looking delicious.

fux mcclit: He's white. They're all white.

BARFINGLEON: um mean I'm eating them, but I'm looking at Devin's boat.

Robot: I don't like how Chris has been he's been too confident because he had two bangers.

fux mcclit: ah You know what? Fry my chocobos. Fry my chocobos up.

Robot: Yeah.

Steve-O: Damn, fry him up.

Robot: Yeah.

fux mcclit: Chocobo wings for dinner, I guess.

Steve-O: So, Devon ate Mario Brothers

fux mcclit: So Devin gets his fucking kingdom hearts. So the billion billionaire Walt Disney gets to eat even more food than us.

Steve-O: and Final Fantasy X2. Okay.

Robot: Sorry, I was hungry.

Steve-O: Dude, that one stings.

BARFINGLEON: the roll.

Steve-O: That one stings. You chose like a legend. you ate You ate like Neil Armstrong.

BARFINGLEON: Fuck the roll.

Robot: Yeah, but but like... Alright, alright. I'm going to be honest.

BARFINGLEON: ah

Robot: I want you to honestly tell me that...

fux mcclit: Yeah.

Steve-O: you fought You found the old lady from Titanic and ate her.

Robot: but Yeah, yeah.

BARFINGLEON: ah I would eat the old lady from Titanic.

Robot: I want you to honestly tell me

BARFINGLEON: I would.

Robot: I love this list that there are games that are worse than the original Super Mario. Like, just from a game. Gameplay.

Steve-O: um We're not talking about worse. We're talking about just who would be the most delicious.

Robot: Yeah, well, that's the one I choose to get rid of because it's the least useful at this point.

Steve-O: Get rid of.

Robot: Yeah. AKA Eat. Dude, we Yellow Jackets the shit out of them.

Steve-O: That's fucked up. That's fucked up. You're going to you're going to be biting into some bad meat.

Robot: Chris and I are wearing fucking deer skin.

Steve-O: Deerskin?

Robot: Munchin?

Steve-O: Where'd you find deerskin?

Robot: Yeah.

Steve-O: You're on a fucking boat.

Robot: Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Tanuki's Inn?

Steve-O: You're in the ocean.

Robot: No, on the island that we've tried.

Steve-O: Well, i guess I guess we're on the island now. Yeah, you're right.

Robot: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah. du What are you doing?

Steve-O: You're right.

BARFINGLEON: I would agree with Devin there.

Steve-O: That's fair. That's fair.

BARFINGLEON: You're not wearing deer skin.

Steve-O: That's fair. not And also, you don't get tanuki skin until three. so

BARFINGLEON: Oh, fuck, dude.

Robot: Oh, even better.

BARFINGLEON: Giant balls.

Robot: Yeah, even more useless.

Steve-O: Fireballs.

BARFINGLEON: Get those huge-ass balls.

Robot: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: That's what I want.

Steve-O: There you go.

BARFINGLEON: Speaking of balls, we got news, right?

Steve-O: Yeah, we got some news.

Robot: We do got...

Steve-O: Let's fire through some of these suckers.

Robot: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. All right. Juicy Mad trailers. One, i was a little surprised by ah the lack of comments on.

BARFINGLEON: ah there's not a lot here.

Robot: But um first trailer of the week, the back rooms, official trailer. So we got teaser previously.

fux mcclit: I liked it.

Robot: Yeah, we were talking about this a little bit before recorded. I'm like a little cool on the trailers. I'm going to see it. I hope it's good.

Steve-O: Mm-hmm.

Robot: But it's like a weird, it's kind of like you make your own terror when you're when you're watching these creepypasses. And, you know, because you're just alone watching creepy YouTube videos.

Robot: When you're trying to add plot and characters and God forbid a fucking love story, um which I'm not saying there is one, right? But just like if there's romance and things like that involved, i don't know. i don't know. But... um

BARFINGLEON: Maybe there's a Minotaur. Maybe she's really attractive.

Robot: I just, ah it's a cool concept and and I kind of wonder how the public at large will react to this. Because I think there's a lot of people like that don't really, have never even like thought of like SCP type, you know.

BARFINGLEON: I have a sneaking gut suspicion this movie is going to do numbers.

Steve-O: This is going to be for the Zoomers and the Gen Alpha kids.

Robot: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: This is a Zoomer.

Robot: Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: is Zoomer film.

Robot: The minion...

Steve-O: They're running out of Mario Galaxy and into the back rooms.

Robot: Yeah, but ah yeah, an official Supergirl trailer. John, i was shocked you had zero comments about this.

fux mcclit: Oh, because I already know it's going to be good. Trailer is great, by the way, too.

Robot: know But, like you know, with this is the first Lobo.

fux mcclit: Loved it.

Robot: This is, um yeah, Lobo's talking.

Steve-O: First time you hear his voice.

fux mcclit: Yeah.

Robot: There's a ah different...

fux mcclit: I'm day zero for this movie.

Robot: I get it, right?

fux mcclit: All right.

Robot: I can't really get hated.

Steve-O: He's ride or die.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, we're I think we're all on that boat.

fux mcclit: Yeah.

Steve-O: We're all ride or die for the last DC studios movie, right?

Robot: I do i do think ah i do think um the Lobo voice is a choice, but, you know.

Steve-O: Yeah, it's a little, uh, I don't know if in my head, that's how Lobo sounds, but maybe that's just because I'm spoiled by some of the the animated series stuff.

fux mcclit: I just love... Yeah. Is the...

Robot: um What?

fux mcclit: Whatchamacallit? and When does Lanterns come out?

BARFINGLEON: Is that May or August?

Robot: August? I think it's it's like summer.

BARFINGLEON: August.

Steve-O: Yeah, I think it's deeper into the year, yeah.

BARFINGLEON: It is August. I'm excited for that.

Robot: Yeah, Lanterns is coming out in... Oh my god, I hate this shit. Come on, give me a month, bro. Release date.

Robot: I want to say August. August 2026, yeah. Confirmed.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah.

Robot: confirm

BARFINGLEON: Yeah.

Robot: um Pretty apt considering what we were just talking about But ah there's also Lord of the Flies Netflix trailer Which is like, oh, okay

Steve-O: Dude, Piggy's going to get it

Robot: Spoilers, bro Yeah, it's a It's a countdown of What happened to the biggie, I guess I don't know, man it's ah It's kind of one of those stories where I'm like, why?

Robot: Like, I feel like we've told this story better

BARFINGLEON: Yeah, yellow jackets.

Robot: Yeah, we like yellow jacke like Yellow Jackets exist.

Steve-O: only

Robot: Why do we need Laura the Flies to give you a message that's better told in other forms of media and other ways?

Steve-O: It's because...

Steve-O: Some people just don't understand that, you know, literary classics, those like themes and and stories will be, you know, moved on and adapted to other things.

Robot: Okay.

Steve-O: They just need to have like the thing pumped into their brain 100% as the thing as they know it.

BARFINGLEON: Hmm.

Steve-O: So it's for people who are just too stupid to look for yellow jackets.

Robot: Listen, we man man is inherently evil.

BARFINGLEON: Yeah.

Robot: I get it. Yeah.

BARFINGLEON: You know, I still don't think it works.

Steve-O: You know, they already have that Simpsons episode where the bus washes up on the island.

BARFINGLEON: yeah Yeah, that's where he calls his stomach his fart factory.

Steve-O: That's one of the later episodes, I think so.

Robot: yeah

Steve-O: So.

BARFINGLEON: remember that.

Robot: um Also, last little bit of news. ah Fun, interesting. a Stellar Blade developer.

BARFINGLEON: Stella Blade!

Robot: So, you know, those games or that game, I should say.

BARFINGLEON: Stella!

Robot: ah They acquired Shinji Mikami's new studio.

Steve-O: based on the title of your headline getting cropped, it sounded like they just like acquired the man.

Robot: they told him they told him i mean i mean steve to be fair that is kind of what they did right because like he was he left the last company and then wasn't like allowed to do anything for like five years and then he pops up he's like oh i have a new game company it's called unbound and then immediately you know teamed up with uh stellar blade now

Steve-O: Cause it just said stellar blade developer choirs, Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami. Hmm.

Steve-O: The last game they made was um the ah the Evil Beyond? Beneath? the What was that series called?

fux mcclit: Evil Within.

Robot: Evil Within.

Steve-O: Within. Within. They did two of those, right?

Robot: Yeah, but I think he worked on, I don't know if he worked on this game in particular, but there was, remember the game where you're fighting like Ghost in like Japan?

Robot: Came out like a few years ago.

Steve-O: Yes. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Robot: Yeah, the Tango Gameworks.

Steve-O: I remember that one. It was like a PlayStation 5 sort of one, yeah.

BARFINGLEON: Ghostwire Tokyo.

Robot: Yeah, Ghostwire. I don't know if, I don't think he did Ghostwire.

fux mcclit: studio though, right?

Steve-O: There's tango game work.

Robot: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, he was he yeah he' was working at Tango. um And then he left. And to be fair, you know maybe I should <unk> speak at Aska a little bit. He did start Unbound Games in 2023, but was fully acquired by ShiftUp, which is the Stellar Blade developer.

Robot: um And, you know, like, what if um what have we just made Goonie-ass games with...

BARFINGLEON: Stowa.

Robot: the original Cap God, you know?

Robot: Marriage made in heaven.

fux mcclit: Anti-AI Cap God.

Robot: Yeah.

Robot: You love to see it. And that's pretty much it for the news. um Quiet weeks, and good trailers to start off with. But. You know, I've been plugging away. We all been playing watching her our stories.

BARFINGLEON: Ew, I love my stories.

Steve-O: I love my stories.

BARFINGLEON: I've been playing my stories. I've been watching my stories.

fux mcclit: Watch my stories.

BARFINGLEON: I've been reading my stories.

Steve-O: Oh my God. Did you know at the end of Liar Liar, Jim Carrey shows up as Fire Marshal Bill in the background of a scene?

BARFINGLEON: me tell you something. Yeah, I do.

Robot: I did hear about that a few weeks ago.

BARFINGLEON: I do. You're right there.

Steve-O: I didn't know this

Robot: Well,

BARFINGLEON: Love that character.

Robot: I you're a fake fan, dude.

BARFINGLEON: Cold.

Steve-O: Oh, I love fans.

Robot: Did we ever, was there ever consensus on whether or not that was really Jim Carrey a few weeks ago?

BARFINGLEON: Fire Marshal Bill? Yeah, in living count color.

Robot: No, no, no. when

Steve-O: Oh, yeah, that was him.

Robot: No, when he showed up to like get an award and he looked completely different.

Steve-O: Oh, he had the big old beard and the hair, right? He was doing the thing.

Robot: No, there's ah no beard. He looked like he had a shitload of plastic surgery.

BARFINGLEON: Now, talking more recently, he looked like Mickey Rourke.

Steve-O: oh oh no, I did not see this. Somebody link me.

BARFINGLEON: He looked like somebody punched him in the face when he was young and it never fixed.

Robot: Yeah, wait.

Steve-O: You know, I'm going to send you to the mall that lives underneath ground, Chris.

BARFINGLEON: Like Mickey Rourke.

Robot: Yeah, wait. where is that photo?

fux mcclit: Thank

Robot: But no, he ah he looks ah very odd. And everybody's everybody's really...

BARFINGLEON: you know, Devin, you look odd too.

Robot: No, no, but so then some guy, some like French YouTuber was like, oh, that was actually me.

BARFINGLEON: You know that, you know?

Robot: And then he showed his face. he's like He made a mask and he's like, it's me. But then like, no one's really sure about what the fuck actually happened with that.

Steve-O: ah What the hell? What the hell? Just weird, weird.

Robot: Yeah, but no, Jim Carrey...

Steve-O: It's Robotnik.

BARFINGLEON: By the way, Devin, it's James.

Robot: Whoa. Could you imagine?

Steve-O: That's Jim Carrey.

BARFINGLEON: yeah it's No, no.

Robot: Could you imagine that?

BARFINGLEON: His name is James Carey.

Steve-O: I'm sorry. That's James Curry.

BARFINGLEON: Curry?

Steve-O: What did you say?

BARFINGLEON: James Carey.

Steve-O: every Everyone, we'll be back with more James Carrey, Dean, next week. ah Until then.

BARFINGLEON: Alex Ventura.

Robot: No.

BARFINGLEON: Real human detective.

Steve-O: oh Oh, okay.

BARFINGLEON: James Carey in the lead.

Steve-O: That's not that's not Jim Carrey to the right. That's not Jim Carrey to the right.

Robot: Yeah.

Steve-O: Although that could be... that You know what? Never mind. That is Jim Carrey.

Robot: I know, but it's a, it's a shame because everybody's like, what the fuck?

Steve-O: That's Botox Jim Carrey.

Steve-O: Dude, I remember...

BARFINGLEON: Johnson Show with James Carey as the lead.

Robot: He was aging very gracefully.

Steve-O: The times I have seen people who have had plastic surgery up close in real life, it scares me, man.

BARFINGLEON: happens. in know

Steve-O: Because you can see the old person trapped beneath the sheen.

Robot: I don't think I've ever noticeably like seen that, I think. I'm trying to

Steve-O: It happened to me once and it freaked me the fuck out and I couldn't say or scream.

Robot: think. Are you just screaming? just got filler, lip filler. He's like,

Steve-O: No, it was more than lip filler. There was.

Robot: was it ah Was it at your your old job?

Steve-O: Oh,

Steve-O: It was at one of my old jobs. Yes. Yeah.

Robot: Was it Snooki?

Steve-O: No. No.

Robot: Oh, damn it.

Steve-O: yeah All right.

BARFINGLEON: I wish.

Steve-O: We'll be back next week. I'm going to tell everybody after the show ends.

Robot: Later.

fux mcclit: Mm-hmm.

Steve-O: All right. Bye, everybody.
