A few years back in D2DCon 2023, Ruben Ayala and I had an episode where we went through his amazing comeback story of creating his own dealer after the dissolution of his old company. Driven by the philosophies of hard work, adaptability, and accountability, he makes great points on what leaders should and shouldn't be.

Ruben's Return and Impact

00:00:41
Speaker
What's going on? we We're here live at DoorDorOrCon 2023. And for the not just the first, but the second time, we have my friend Ruben coming on the show. Ruben, thanks for coming back on with Hey, man. Finally, glad to meet you in person. yeah It's awesome.
00:00:56
Speaker
Thanks for having me again on the show. I know. And God, apologize because when we first got up, I said, hey, what's your name? Totally. I didn't put the name to the face. Now that I got it, I don't think I'll forget again. There you go, brother. Hell yeah. It's been fun to be here. And today, yeah we want to do kind of, you know, some takeaways we've had from door to door gone and then just catch up. know you've been crushing it and had some changes in your business. But yeah, what was it like a year ago we had you Yeah, about a year ago. a year ago. So if you haven't, we will link that podcast in the show notes if you don't have the chance to listen to that. Got some great feedback. and I think you've had a lot of guys reach out and get all that from podcast definitely shows like what being on you know other stages can do for you, especially people in Florida or in the industry from getting followers on Instagram and the same field.
00:01:44
Speaker
to people actually coming in and working with us, you know, it's been great. Thank you. I know I need like an override for all the guys there for real. We can structure something like that. Right. Yeah. But, uh, no, you guys

From Suncor to ProTech

00:01:56
Speaker
have been crushing it. And, um, so yeah, let's just hear, I know you've had some changes in your business going on.
00:02:01
Speaker
So it's been a year. last time you were at, I think, what was it? Suncor? Yeah, I was with a company named Suncor. There have been a lot of changes. The company dissolved essentially and so kind of forced me to start my own thing, right? It's one of those that it's kind of like sink or swim. And um I met some great, brilliant minds that... we We partnered up. So what we did is we basically partnered with a um roofing and an AC company. So we can do now roofs in-house, AC in-house, and then we brought the solar arm to it. And so it's it's pretty amazing. have my partner, Anthony Jaramillo and Alex Hoffman.
00:02:37
Speaker
And so now... We're called ProTech, right? So nice that's that's where we're at. We're out of Tampa.

Adapting in the Solar Industry

00:02:43
Speaker
And it's just been, you know, ah a lot of growth in one year. yeah And right now we're about to expand significantly. So the past five, six months has just been infrastructure of everything. And this year is going to be the year where we really blow up. Yeah, okay. And yeah, I think we have some similarities because I was just telling you, um I dealt with some stuff. Same thing with my company and installs not going through. and unfortunately, yeah you know, commissions not being paid, stuff like that.
00:03:10
Speaker
so I know we both kind of went through similar things, but we probably both learned the lesson. Like you got to know to adjust. And that's kind of the dark side of the industry. And unfortunately, things like that can happen. But those that know how to pivot their business and know sell, like there's no there's no shortage of

Building a Successful Sales Team

00:03:25
Speaker
business. Even when stuff like that happens, would you agree? Definitely, man. If you know how to sell, if you know how to knock on doors, like there will always be an opportunity. You just need to adapt. There's a lot of people that get scared. just got to lean into your fears. Right. And that's something that we've been learning here at D2D Con.
00:03:40
Speaker
Yeah. But yeah, I got to ask, were you nervous when all this stuff was going down at Suncor? Was that nerve wracking or, ah you know, whatever? What were you doing all that? I was more worried for, you know, the people that I had personally recruited and brought in because financially, you know, I had good little cushion to last me for a while. It was more other people that, you know, I look out for because, you know, my team is my family. I spend lot of time with them and I love every single one of them. So was more just kind of trying to make sure we could point them in the right direction and, you know, not give up. But Yeah, definitely. There was always when there's uncertainty, there's usually fear.
00:04:15
Speaker
But the the more you let that fear get big, the harder it is to take action. And so you just have to you know kind of dive in real quick. Yeah. Yeah. And it can affect sales because don't know about you when there's like when I was having uncertainty around installs not going in or stuff going on. i was kind of letting it affect my mindset on the doors and be like, oh, what am I doing out here? Even selling, this account might not even get installed. So things like that. I think it's important to just kind of check yourself and, you know, try to get in good opportunities as quick as possible, whether it's leaving, staying, finding a, you know, starting your own thing like you did. But yeah, with your reps, like what did you tell them? I don't know if you have any advice. Maybe people are going through similar situation. How did you help your reps going through all this? And
00:04:57
Speaker
I mean, the biggest thing I did was just be open and transparent. And so I said, hey, guys, this is where we're at. This is what I'm thinking. um And these are going to be the new partners. And we've already kind of talked about this. And what we did was come up with cool incentives for like it's a brighter future. We're giving ah all of you guys iPads with Internet on it and, you know, a case and better badges and. you know, we're going to do cooler incentives. And so that's kind of how you rally the troops was kind of like, you know, instead of going into the previous company where you kind of had to go buy your own things, you know, we saw it as like, dude, if we can give our people better tools, so they look more professional, so they look more legit, that's You know, like that's what we're going to do.
00:05:41
Speaker
And that was kind of like something that kind of kickstarted. I know we had a couple of guys that didn't have a car. And so I sometimes would have to go pick them up, drop them off, go to appointments and do all of that, you know, wearing every single hat. and So um there was cars that were issued. And so now they do their own kind of like little group. They go out and, and you know, they have the logo throughout the car. So that was also pretty cool.
00:06:02
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. Well, something we were talking about, um, we just got back from lunch or door to door con, but something we were talking about too is like, you're mentioning how important it is. Just focus on the things you're good at and not try and like wear all these hats and be running around. So, um, as you've started your own, you know, dealer company now, like what have you learned in doing that? Or what do you suggest to guys? How do you like, so hire and get help with all these things? I've seen, uh, a lot of different ways of doing things, right? There's, I don't think there's really like a, Super right way and a super wrong way is just kind of what it works for everybody. um I've seen a company being run by one person and that one person trying to do everything. yeah
00:06:42
Speaker
And I know I'm very, very bad at like accounting numbers and checking Excel sheets and tracking and being organized. That's not my personality and that's not something I'm good at. You know, I'm i'm good at checking my schedule, you know, and that's about it and going and selling and, you know, training and developing reps.
00:07:00
Speaker
That's what I'm really passionate about. And that's what I'm good at. And so going into business with my partners, they're actually really good at the stuff that I'm not good at. And they enjoy doing awesome. Right. Yeah. And I'm really good at sales. And so that's kind of like my role. And so I do have very supportive team members, partners that help me on things that I'm not good at. That way can focus on my main bread potatoes, which is sales. It's recruiting. It's, you know, motivating people. It's teaching. That's what I'm good at. So the more I can do that, the better it is for everyone. And just knowing that you have people in your corner that you can trust and that it
00:07:37
Speaker
That's what they're good at. I think that's that's great. I know Grant talks about it. He says, ah collaboration is a new currency. You can't do anything by yourself and expect that for it to be big. One of the guest speakers today, he says, there's no such thing as a self-made millionaire. That's bullshit.
00:07:51
Speaker
He says, because if I'm the second... born in a family and I become a self-made millionaire is like my brother actually helped shape my personality to actually get there so I would actually thank him as well it's good so if you think about it it's kind of like yeah dude you can't do anything by yourself and go very far I know 100% and that's one of the biggest reasons I've seen like these smaller dealers fell and things like that because they try to do everything themselves not grow um so yeah it's something i heard today going tanner williams he did the i think it was like 130 deals in basically a summer he's talking about the same thing was trying to like organize all these spreadsheets and run his team of setters but one of the things that helped him take off is just you know hiring an assistant organizing all that he knew his schedule now he didn't have to manage that he's managing you know the systems not the people that's what a lot of lot of guys say on that but yes it's been cool to see you grow so how many reps you guys at now
00:08:45
Speaker
ah The goal right now is to have, you know, around 50 reps by the end of April, but we want 50 quality reps. We don't want reps that are like putting one or two deals in. We want reps that are doing about 10 deals a month minimum. right And that's kind of like the new standard that we're setting because the higher you raise the bar, the more that people challenge themselves, the more success they're going to have, the more money they're going to make and the bigger their belief lid is going to be.

High Standards for Sales Reps

00:09:10
Speaker
Right. and So that's the goal for my birthday in April. Okay. Yeah. Tax season and your birthday. I know, man. good day Yeah. And so did you have so when you were making this transition from Suncor, bringing your reps over, did all did your whole team, you're running, they all pretty much come join you after that? Or was there like guys? it fell off. There was different markets and so only the people in the ah Tampa market were the one that that that came over here and then I know a couple of them went off and did their own thing in markets. You know, we're still in touch with few of them and some, I don't know where they're at. yeah It was the It was the people I personally brought in. My brother, um his girlfriend, very close to me. okay So that was like my core. Are they the ones that partner? Because you talk about I have partners doing different things. So were they the ones that partnered up with you on this? Or how did you find the people? When we first got to Tampa, we were exploring that market. um We needed someone to do our roofs. I met a company called ProTech and I met their... owners, like-minded individuals about the same age. Guys are sharp.
00:10:11
Speaker
And so I started hanging out with them more often. We started giving them business and I liked how they resolved problems whenever we came to like a disagreement on something. And I also enjoyed really hanging out with them and they became my friends.
00:10:23
Speaker
And then when this came, you know, it's kind of like a perfect timing to be like, hey, you know, let's bring a solar arm into it. And that's how we did it. Yeah. Okay. And so you saw that they were just running. It was just kind of like networking or you just use them for roofs before at Suncor. And then you just branch off and said, you know, let's start up some solar. And then they're like, sweet, let's do it. Yeah. Pretty much. Pretty much. rolled them there Okay.
00:10:45
Speaker
So was that rocky for them? Like doing, maybe you're still kind of ironing things out, but was it tough for them to get that rolling like solar installs or do they pretty much have it figured out right from the beginning? they're obviously like there's learning curves to everything. They have their operations down pretty good. And so it's

Networking and Partnerships

00:11:01
Speaker
kind of like the same thing.
00:11:02
Speaker
Yes. That's awesome. Because I know sometimes people struggle, like the initial ones. Like I've worked with some companies where they're we're going to solar installs. and And then it's like a train wreck for the first like 20 accounts whatever until they like get things out. no So that's good. youve So right now we're not installing currently. But that's something that is in the near future.
00:11:23
Speaker
Okay. So you just partner with them for like operation type stuff and then you're enrolled. Correct. Okay. As was going to say, that's like almost unheard of. Things go super smooth from the get go.
00:11:33
Speaker
No, yeah. I'm sure whenever, you know, the install side comes around, we're going to do a few, make sure that we learn everything right then and there and then open the floodgates and see how we're going.
00:11:44
Speaker
Yeah, for sure. Well, Ruben, I know today's going to be a little bit shorter than last time just because I know we got some awards coming up and things we have speakers we're going to go see down there. But um just like for you, I know you got all go to lot of events. You got to like the Grant Cardone ones. I've been to this. um Have you been to DoorDorkon multiple times now? Actually, it's my first time coming to DoorDoreCon. And, you know, it's pretty cool.
00:12:07
Speaker
Nice. I like it. Yeah, it's been a good event. And so what for you, what's like the importance? I know you got all these Grant Cardone events, other events. um What's been like? Would you say that's pretty ah been like a key thing in helping you grow in business? Or what's been the importance of like kind of these events and...
00:12:23
Speaker
You know, any burunds you done I i ah really suggest for everybody to invest in themselves. I used to be that cheap guy that was like, dude, I remember going to my first Grant Cardone concert or not concert, but you know.
00:12:38
Speaker
conference. and nextcon Yeah. And i was like, damn, $1,500 for the ticket. that's the cheapest ticket. Right. And I just remember sweating it and i was making solar money already. And so I was still being stingy with it. right And I was like, dude, 1500 plus the flight, plus the hotel. Like I'm going to be at like three grand

Networking for Growth

00:12:56
Speaker
easy just to go to that. And said, you know what? Screw it. We'll go. And I remember walking in and just the energy and just kind of like everything about it. And where I was seating, i was like, dude, I'm at the very, very back. So I walk out and I said, how can I upgrade to like your middle package? right and so I upgraded to the middle package and I saw a big difference in the type of people i got to meet and where their headspace was at and so I've met a lot of really good ah people there that now are friends you know and we can bounce ideas back and so you see different ways of thinking different ways of operating yeah and since then dude I've gone to you know everything that he does we'll go there and
00:13:38
Speaker
Now I can actually buy into more expensive things, which is sometimes scary. But, you know, you you get to meet people that are also in the same space financially that are doing cooler stuff and you learn from them and, you know,
00:13:51
Speaker
You get people inviting you to buy an apartment complex with them or to do this or to do that. So it does grow your you mind. For door-to-door con, um I highly suggest it for everybody in the space just because you get to hear you know top rep stories. You get to mingle and interact with other people. You get to hear different pitches.
00:14:10
Speaker
You get to see like what's new in the industry. You get to see you know the vendors. You get basically cool speakers. I like that it's in January because you kick off the year with some motivation.
00:14:21
Speaker
Right. Right. So for me, this is great to come back and bring value to the team and see like what's new, take pictures with some of the legends here, you know, and bring it back. So definitely investing in yourself is key. um I suggest that to to everyone. I mean, I'm sure. Yeah.
00:14:38
Speaker
you get value out of these things as well. So some of you already know that I run my own door-to-door sales team here in San Diego and as we are gearing up for the summer I realized if we do the same thing we always did we're going to get the same results but if I want to increase my deal flow I need to do something different to get an advantage.
00:14:55
Speaker
Then we discovered an app called Solar Scout but it's not a door knocking app it's a data platform that shows us who is likely to go solar in our market It shows us who has previously applied for solar but later canceled the deal, who has moved in recently, and even how much electricity the homes are using in a given neighborhood.
00:15:14
Speaker
It's been working for a lot of teams across the country and now I'm on board too. I'm going to be one of the first to use SolarScout in San Diego, so I decided to partner up. But I told them, hey, I'm going to talk about SolarScout on my show, you need to give my listeners a great deal. And they did.
00:15:29
Speaker
So go to solarscout.app forward slash Taylor and book a demo with them and you'll get 10% off your first month when you sign up. That's solarscout.app forward slash Taylor.
00:15:42
Speaker
Okay, back to the show. Yeah, 100%. It pays for itself. yeah Yeah. And something I like that you were talking about before the podcast too is you said that like any of your guys that want to come, you always make them, you know, like buy their tickets and all that because oh yeah it's like... you want guys putting their money where their mouth is. and If you buy your own ticket and it costs you your own money, you treat the whole conference, right?
00:16:03
Speaker
Versus if I'm paying for everybody and I'm bringing the team and everything like that, it's not as appreciated as if it costs you time, energy, money, right? To actually get here, you're going to take way more out of it. That's exactly what happened to me.
00:16:16
Speaker
And now that that happened to me, I'm like, dude, everybody that comes should buy their own way here. That way they can walk around with that pride. You know, they can feel accomplishment of being able to come into these things and later seeing how many more events or conferences they can go to to keep stimulated to keep motivated because that's a lot of what you get here you get motivation you get inspired you get you know yeah resurrect exactly i know it's reviving for sure but yeah i mean at least have it be you know for people that own their companies or managers for teams or whatever i'd say at least make it be like an incentive or something

Handling Conflicts with Humor

00:16:49
Speaker
you know like make you guys earn it because Yeah. Or, you know, if if reps really want to come, you could always work out, you know, with your managers or the owners of the company.
00:17:00
Speaker
You can be like, hey, man, can you just cover the ticket up front just deduct it from my commissions, et cetera, like that and work out something like that. That's still them paying for it. You know, that's something that is also available if you think outside the box. Yeah. yeah Just because you don't have the $1,500 or $1,600, whatever the ticket costs, like ask, knock on that door and say, hey, I really want to go.
00:17:19
Speaker
Yeah, 100%. There's always a way. And like you said, it's been cool just to network and hear from the speakers. And I think that alone, just the networking, you're getting with like-minded people. Potential opportunities for business later, you never know where you're going meet. Because like you were talking about earlier, it's like the way you started your you deal at your company, it's from people you knew. right And so maybe one of those people is at these events. i think it's been awesome. And then, well, yeah, we were talking at lunch and everything, Taryn.
00:17:45
Speaker
You guys had you guys had a little tussle at the bar last night. Pretty funny. Pretty funny story. Give our listeners some entertainment. so for the final part, right? can So we we went out, we went out to this ah spot yesterday you know,
00:18:01
Speaker
It was super packed, right? It was it super packed and Utah's cold. So we weren't going to wait in line. We asked the bouncer how we could you know cut through the line and we cut through the line. We had a great time. And as soon as we're coming out, all of the sudden I see like people running around, chasing themselves and then you know punching each other. And I'm like, what the hell? And then I was like, dude, that's one of our guys, right? So...
00:18:26
Speaker
So ah I do not like condone fighting or anything like that. like i've I've gotten into enough ah fights growing up as a kid to know that a fight is not good. Either you win it or you lose it. They're always bad. and like you You don't ever win a fight, right? So I just... you know, kind of run out and I'm trying to see like, who's there of authority to stop it. You know, I'm just like, dude. And then I'm just like, well, we need to go pull some guys off of each other. And I see a phone and I was like, I thought it was like bad guy phone. Yeah.
00:18:57
Speaker
So I was like, oh, you know what? I'm not going to hit him, but I'm going to hit him where it right? So I take the case off and I smash it. Then I step on it. And, that you know, we break it up. And all of a sudden, there's like so many more people that are from Utah. And it's a big friend group. And I don't even know how it started. And so then I see they're ah they're all coming, right? And was like, do you think of something quick to get all of these guys to not like, you know, completely like beat us up? Yeah. And so I walk over and I was like, guys, don't mess with us. You know, where we're the mafia. We're the Mexican mafia. And I was wearing like a gangster you know outfit on. And the bouncer was like, dude, these were the guys that paid $50 a head to fucking cut the line. Right? And so he's like, all a sudden, dude, the bouncer's like, don't touch them. They like just come and start protecting us. And then, you know, funny funny story. My buddy's like, hey, have seen my phone? I'm not looking for my phone. think dude he finds the case and he says I found my case where's my phone and I was like ah shit dude I might have stomped on it you know and everything like that and then you know the cops show up and I was like ah here we go he's like hey what happened and everyone's just like nothing nothing nothing and I was like dude we we got out of it like it's really good but yeah it was it was just funny man you walk out and then you see like a bunch of people running around you know and
00:20:23
Speaker
It was like, what is going on? Yeah. That's one of the funnier stories I've ever done the podcast. Sorry if you didn't want to tell, but I mean, it is what it is, man. Like, like I said, it's fighting is not good, but you know, always figure out a way to stop it, you know, and stop the bleeding. Yeah. You put those door-to-door skills to use thinking on the spot. like, all right, do have to sometimes. You're like, you know, and people were looking at us like, oh, that's the mafia guys, the mafia guys. I was like, yeah, our bodyguards are around the corner. You guys back off. You see one of the top. Trying to get on an Uber, bro. And then you couldn't get an Uber. Ubers are like 16 minutes out. Even like the XL, it's closing time. Everybody's trying to get an Uber. So we just kind of walked back and then we found, you know, taco stand and had some tacos

Learning from Failures

00:21:11
Speaker
in Utah. And then, you know, made our rounds to the hotel. So it was good. And today, woke up fresh and came to the conference to get some golden nuggets. That's what we came here for. Yeah. Most important thing. Yeah. So if you want a good time at DoorDot, hang out with Reuben. Yeah, man. I could have seen that.
00:21:28
Speaker
But no, I'm glad you you know didn't have any yeah major injuries or something. No, none, right? like I'm the one with the black eye right now. and I know. So that was actually how we saw you. um I knew you were coming because we had talked on Instagram, right? But um one of the guys that came with us, he's like, dude, was he one of those? Like, I think I got him good. And he starts like pointing at you. And I was like, who?
00:21:48
Speaker
He has a black eye. Look at him. Look at him. think I got him. And i was like, dude, no, no, he's not. Like, I know this guy. i've done a podcast with him. He's not one of them, you know? And he's like, oh, okay, okay, okay.
00:22:00
Speaker
I walk over I was like, dude, they they thought you were, you know, one of the guys from last night. But it was, yeah, man. Never, yeah. Never had a funnier introduction than that. Thinking and I was the one in the bar. Yeah, man. But um yeah, so that's that's kind of what what's been going on, you know, with uh, my life in general. I'm very excited for 2023. It holds a lot of, you know, good feelings in my gut about it. And so I think that's kind of like the best thing you can do.
00:22:27
Speaker
Yeah. Um, learn from mistakes was one of the big takeaways from here. Uh, the ability, how did you phrase it? I wrote it down. I'm a note taker. So like I'll write stuff down, but, He he talked about um the ability to look at yourself and actually like analyze like your failures and ah sometimes valuing your failures more than your win. you know Because when you win, you win. It feels great.
00:22:49
Speaker
But when you fail, you can actually see what you did wrong and you can take that as a lesson. That way, next time you don't do the same wrong thing. yeah right And i think that's um very relatable to door-to-door, to you know the entrepreneur, the solopreneur. Right? Yeah.
00:23:06
Speaker
um is learning never to quit and learning from your mistakes. And that's what makes an entrepreneur, an entrepreneur is a guy that continues to fail fail fail, fail, fail, fail. People laugh at them. You know, and you just keep getting back up and trying to analyze what caused you to fail and then tweak it. And then eventually, you know, you'll find some success. Yeah.
00:23:26
Speaker
And that's what people see. Yeah. But they don't see the failures that come before. And so just hearing other people kind of like express that is its like, right, we're not alone. Yeah, I know. People see the overnight, overnight success, but then they don't see everything that happens before that to cause the overnight success.

Persistence in the Solar Industry

00:23:43

Right. Yeah, Mo Fala yesterday did a great speech. Congratulations on the, yeah you know, the acquirement. he He did a great example of, he says, you know, he was talking about his company Simple and he says, you've seen that picture sure where it's like the tip of the iceberg and that's the only thing you can see. But then like all underneath you have this big rock that nobody sees. You just see this. He's like, that's three years of, you know, the past three years of the business is this. But, you know, the past 10 years is like everything that people don't see.

And so overnight success just doesn't happen. It's, you know, failure after failure after failure after failure, which actually gets you sharp enough to whenever you have that opportunity to execute, you can actually execute. Yeah, 100%. Yeah, no, it's been awesome hearing the Nuggets. And yeah, definitely highly recommend people come to events like this and get to hang out and brush shoulders with guys like Ruben and guys like Mo, guys like myself. i love it. So, ah yeah, we'll we'll ah start wrapping up here, um Ruben, so you get to probably going win an award up on stage or something here. So you did what, 180 deals last year? 180, yeah. Yeah, crazy. So definitely top 1% for sure. he trying to Trying to do more of this year. and More of that. Yeah, I know. Trying to see how I can, ah you know, be in more places at at the same time. You got to remember to submit for your Golden Door award next year, man. Dude, I know, man. i
00:25:00
Speaker
ah Yeah. Maybe just try walking up on stage and be like, hey, you know i think that's really cool now that you know the the Golden Door Award exists because it gives people a metric to shoot for. And that recognition in front of like everybody in the industry is huge. you know um But I think the biggest part of it is you know um the speaker from yesterday...
00:25:23
Speaker
It was great. I forget his name. He did like the food processing protein bars. ah to ah Tom Bilyeu? That guy. Tom Bilyeu. Where he says, you know, success is getting your teeth kicked in, coming out with like missing eye and then just kind of like walking up with like the opponent's blood on your face and knowing that you actually did it. like I think that is the biggest confidence builder. um And that's the coolest part of the journey. you know Hitting a ah goal that Like I think was the golden door 130 account. Yeah. refer it yeah so if you aim for you divide it by, you know, months and then you divide it by a

week. And then you know exactly how many deals you need to get to 130 at the end of the year.
00:26:07
Speaker
So just reverse math, which I'm not that good at, but I can do that one. That's why you have people on your team. Get the right team in. Yeah, yeah. 100%. Well, Ruben, we appreciate you coming on for the second time the show. Not too many people have been on twice, it's been an honor.
00:26:23
Speaker
Thank you. And then in case people didn't listen the first one or still catching up, what's the best way to connect with you or reach out? they um On social media, um I need to get better on TikTok and all those other ones. But the one I use most is Instagram. And usually, you know, I'm posting constantly like trainings, deals, clothes on the stories. I need to do better at posting on my actual site. But my Instagram handle is Ruben, R-U-B-E-N, period, can, C-A-N. Like Ruben can do it, right? Yeah, that' that's where it came from. okay
00:26:57
Speaker
But yeah, guys reach out. If you guys have any questions in the industry or in the space, you know, it's always nice to, oh, that was the other thing we' were talking about. i was, you know, great things about these conferences is actually like teaching people how to become better at their job. So it eliminates that negative reputation that you have. When you go knock on a door and you're like, oh, it's solar. And so many people have heard nightmares because reps aren't trained well enough to actually service the customer instead of like 50% offset them or whatever. And so people have such a negative taste that it makes everyone's job harder versus, you know, getting to come to door to door, hearing from the the best in the industry on what they do and, you know, polishing your skill sets. That's just going to make life easier for everybody. There's there's enough for everyone. Yeah, no doubt. Yeah, it's definitely abundance mindset. Like everyone here, I feel like is really willing to share what's working for them and just spill all their secrets and stuff, which didn't happen before. Yeah. When you were mentioning how your podcast came about, where you said, you know, I would ask guys like what's working for them and they don't want to talk, but. And if I invited them to a podcast to talk about themselves, yeah they spilled beans. And I was like, dude, that's it's genius. Yeah.
00:28:09
Speaker
That is. Yeah. So that's how we do Thank you for having me. Appreciate it, man. Yeah, man. Thanks for coming on again, man. I'll see you in Florida for a little blitz or something later. Yeah, know. Yeah, we'll do it. Okay. Thanks again, Ruben. Guys, hit Ruben up. Let them know you appreciate it. I'm coming on the show for the second time. Share the podcast with anyone you know. they could a use a jumpstart in their day. And we'll see on the next one. Thanks, Ruben. Thank you, brother.
