Hi, everyone. Welcome back to your daily AFC Bournemouth podcast with me, one of one of your hosts, Luke Burrows, and I'm flying solo. and then Again, today, today guys, was flying solo last week covering International Break, where I share two podcasts with you. And the latest one was on Monday, reviewing England's two pre-season international break games. So yeah, i'm i'm I'm here again. Hopefully you enjoyed those in some way. You always get in touch with us over on the socials, GSPN, Bournemouth is where you can reach us on Instagram and stuff. yeah.

Upcoming Collaborations and Co-hosts

00:00:58
afcbournement
flying solo again today although what I would what I will say is in tomorrow's episode I'm joined by the guys from the Arsenal part, which I'm looking forward to because we've got that game coming up. And then for forecast Friday, Dom should be with me. Dom is back. He should be with me. So you don't just have to hear my voice. You hear Dom's voice as well. And I'll let him do most of the talking. And then hopefully next week, Vic will be back.

International Break and Community Updates

00:01:33
afcbournement
as well so in the meantime it is me you've got me again uh so apologies about that but uh hopefully as i said beforehand you've enjoyed some of these uh solo episodes that i've been doing and in today's episode i wasn't really short to kind of share for today's episode because one i'm flying solo solo again and two intellectual break, like not much happens on an international break, but searching the social webs I've got some bits and bobs of news that I'm going to share from a Bournemouth perspective.
00:02:11
afcbournement
with you on today's episode. As although it has been an international break, the women's team has been in action and women's football has still been on. So you might have watched some of that over over the weekend. So that's been going on alongside a lot more, well, I say it a lot more. Maybe there's a more focus on community work during an international break as well. And so from a Bournemouth perspective that do
00:02:41
afcbournement
a bit, quite a bit in the community. and They've also been doing some community work during international break as well. So, you know, when international break does come around, things still happen. And I'm going to be sharing bits and bobs of you that has been happening during the international break. so

Partnership with Kyoto Sanga: Benefits?

00:03:10
afcbournement
first up is actually sticking with the the men's team actually sticking with the men's team because I was looking actually and this was news has come out of the club today that Bournemouth I'm gonna mess this up by the way but Bournemouth FC Bournemouth partner with Kyoto Sanger Okay, so do five hours ago when I'm at the time of recording this. So this was actually yesterday because you'll be listening to this on Wednesday. So this was yesterday on Tuesday. The FC Walmart are delighted to announce a co-operation agreement with a Japanese club, Koyouto Sanga. Hopefully I pronounced that right. Got any Japanese fans to let me know.
00:03:55
afcbournement
and And so the partnership will see the clubs collaborate in various ways for the mutual benefits of quote-unquote football operations, whatever that means. So formed in 1922,
00:04:10
afcbournement
Koto Sangha has a long and storied history and are the oldest club competing in the J League. Bournemouth have been a member of the top flight league in Premier League since 2020.
00:04:23
afcbournement
two which obviously we all know and so I'm actually reading the statement that's been put out and it goes on to basically share that the two clubs will share best practice regarding youth development coaching and further training and development opportunities while combining their scouting networks both teams also seek to share each other's promotional materials to build brand awareness where appropriate And Tiago Pinto, who is Bournemouth's president of football operations, has said, and I quote, this is an exciting step to continue to expand the globe's global network. We will work closely with Coyote Sangha in this strategic partnership continuing with our aim of identifying and improving talent around the world.
00:05:13
afcbournement
and then the president of 32 Sangha has had a few words to say on this as well. So, what do i what do I make of it? What do I make of it, guys?
00:05:28
afcbournement
Who does it benefit the most? You know, I think that's the first question that comes to mind and you would probably jump to the conclusion or maybe a similar similar a conclusion that I have is, does it benefit Coyote Sangla more than AFC Bournemouth? You know, because obviously AFC Bournemouth is in the Premier League, therefore there might go to be a much, much more light on them, much more big bigger club because they are in the English Premier League, right?
00:06:04
afcbournement
And so does this benefit them more? And like, why would they that why would they then enter this agreement and partnership? You know, they obviously need to be getting something out of it. You know, it's interesting, they say, combining respective scouting networks will surely, maybe I'm being naive, you know, let me know your thoughts. But, you know, would would that be the
00:06:32
afcbournement
talent that comes through, you know, good young Japanese talent that comes through, Bournemouth have first refusal on them, you know, from from Coyote Sangha, you know, a lot of club and a lot of times actually when clubs enter in some sort of cooperation agreement as well, you think the one that stands out the most because they have got the same ownership obviously this is different because they don't have the same ownership per se is is about learning players right so is this from Bournemouth side they can learn their young talent out the other way as well so that they get more first team football I'm not sure how competitive the J-League is to be honest so
00:07:24
afcbournement
Would it, is it more competitive than let's say lower divisions of of a here in England? Probably not. So it's just interesting from more of like a Bournemouth perspective.
00:07:41
afcbournement
mention this equipment. Maybe it's a brand thing, you know they want to maybe maybe you know, they want to build their brand awareness in that part of the world and if so, you know, great kind of thing to to be able to do to to try and do that. So it's an interesting one. I'm probably, you know, as if I sit here right now recording this, I'm like, okay, it probably benefits uh, Coyote, Sanger, F.C. Moore, hopefully I'm pronouncing their name right, then F.C. Bournemouth, but then, you know, with all these things, F.C. Bournemouth isn't going to enter into an agreement if it doesn't benefit them in some way. You know, maybe there's finances going back

Addressing Sexist Behavior at Matches

00:08:17
afcbournement
and forth. I have no idea. You know, this is the news that's coming out today that I already wanted to share with you here on, uh, Wild Coddle Wednesday, but let me know your thoughts. Let me know your thoughts on this.
00:08:29
afcbournement
co-operation agreement between the two clubs. and If you're a warm-up fan, I want to hear from you, reach us on those socials and share what you think about this. and like Even if you care, like most fans probably won't be even really okay care that much.
00:08:46
afcbournement
they want to see their team do well on the pitch. And if this somehow helps with that, bring finances and bring young Japanese talent over, then it is going to be a win-win. But you know just an interesting piece of news that I thought I would cover here on Wild Card Wednesday. But there is more news coming out of the club. So I will to my attention there after the break. So we'll take a quick break right now and we'll be right back and continue sharing some bits of news that have come out of the club over the last day or two.
00:09:31

every day.
00:10:11
afcbournement
Okay guys, welcome back and we're continuing with news that has come out from AFC Bournemouth over the last couple of days here on this wild card Wednesday as we brought up to a Premier League weekend again. Yay!
00:10:29
afcbournement
because we have been having international break, so yay, Premier League is back, and tomorrow, as I've already shared with you, we have a crossover episode with the guys from Arsenal, so we can dive straight back into into it. Second piece of news coming out of the club is a statement that was issued on Monday, I believe, that the the club has unfortunately to report on this, be made aware of reports of sexist chanting, language and accepted and and behavior experienced by supporters at away matches. okay So I'll just repeat that. The club has been made aware of reports of sexist chanting, language and behavior experienced by supporters at recent away matches. And the statement basically goes on to say how
00:11:22
afcbournement
Everyone, regardless of their term it uses is protected characteristics, is able to enjoy supporting our team. We have robust measures in place to ensure that language and behaviour of this kind is not tolerated and does not have a place at FZ Bournemouth and more broadly in football.
00:11:42
afcbournement
And then it goes on to say that this season the club's year-long EDI theme is to celebrate women introduced following a rise in sexism across quietly vitality stadium last season. The club alongside our supporters would like to encourage everyone to come together to support this message and help create an environment where everyone feels welcome, safe and included. It goes on to remind supporters that if they witness any of this behavior to report it to stewards at the game using or you can use the club's confidentiality reporting text line which is 808018 starting your message with AFCB or through email and it's report dot.abuse at afcb.co.uk
00:12:35
afcbournement
So yeah, I think like not just a boomer thing But more more broadly in football as well. It's a shame that you you know, these things continue to happen and We are dealing with our fellow our fellow humans right and humans aren't you know, we aren't perfect in any way Shape or form and so when these situations come up, you know I always feel like a bit sad and disappointed. and
00:13:10
afcbournement
so It's one of those things like, is it ever gonna stop? you know And I think, go back to my, po literally the sentence as I just said, like, we're humans, we're not perfect. I don't think it is. you know I don't and i think it is because because of that because of that fact, right? Does that make it right or or wrong? Obviously, like it's it's wrong. I just think personally, my personal experience, you know not,
00:13:35
afcbournement
the uh opinion of anyone anywhere else at GSPN or and or anything that humans are like especially in like an emotional place like a football ground is
00:13:54
afcbournement
you're going to have those individuals that are going to do these sorts of things, right? And it's sad. I always feel sad when I hate i hate i hear these things and my mind just goes to like, how can we cut it out? And it's like,
00:14:11
afcbournement
You can't, I don't think that you can actually like stop it from happening, you know, like actually in the ground or on social media or outside the ground, like actually happening. But then like when you do happen, you've got to come down on it like really, really tightly. And then and strictly and then like hopefully like over the long long term 10, 15, 20 years like culture starts to shape and and change for the better so it happens less and less and less and less although it kind of feels like it's happening more and more and more and more probably a representation of society know at large but yeah you know it's
00:14:51
afcbournement
It's just disappointing that it continues continues to happen. So when it does happen, I think all of the football world bodies, all of the clubs need to cut you know cut down on it. I would make the sanctions when they hear it, when they are able to identify it, when they're able to identify the people who are saying these things and using this language and and you know, we if it's with sexism or even racism as well, like come down on them, like just ban them. You know, like people some you people need to learn their lesson at some point in time, right? And, you know, I think
00:15:36
afcbournement
we forget that there's always consequences and downstream effects to all of our actions and everything that we say and do and by making
00:15:49
afcbournement
The consequence is stricter when these things happen, especially in football grounds, outside of football grounds. So we set an example and and stuff. We then hopefully, as I said, over time start to shape culture around. so
00:16:06
afcbournement
football when they when it comes to these things and know I'm thinking thinking like way like longer term here can actually start to cut it out but yeah I think human beings for some reason it's more of a like representation of kind of what's going on in like that individual person's life and mind and soul and spirit if you're into that stuff, but It's more of a representation of them again doesn't make it right It just doesn't make it right and when it happens to cut down on it and to be like just just like bad, you know on social media like just
00:16:44
afcbournement
ban them, right? You know, am am I a fan? You know, am I a fan? Like, do I believe in free speech? Yeah, up to the point where it causes someone else in harm, misery, and uses discriminatory terms in the language to Yeah, cause harm, suffering to another human being, right? You know, like, we're all human beings and we all at the core of it, we're all the same, we forget that. So, anyway, those are my thoughts. You know, statements come out. I'm not, a yeah, I haven't actually shared those thoughts before, but that's kind of what I think I'm gonna, shame that Wormuth had to put out. Shame that, you know, it's been happening at recent away matches.

Ticket Allocations for Wolves Match

00:17:38
afcbournement
in order to cut it out then consequences need to be much much stricter and hopefully we can start to uh hopefully the football bodies can start to integrate and actually take action on some of that and change culture and especially football culture over the longer term so Talk about that. I even now feel sad. right let just this light down My energy's going down. But I'm going to take a quick break and then we'll come back. And there was a couple of other pieces of news, I think. We'll wrap up with tickets. So we'll do that next.
00:18:27

afcbournement
Okay, welcome back and we are finishing today's WorldCon Wednesday even episode with another bit of news that's come out. I think it also came out on Monday. Ticket information, so information and points dropped for wolves away.
00:19:40
afcbournement
So to again a statement was released or information was released on the Bournemouth website afcb.co.uk for this game that was or will be I should say not was will be Saturday the 30th of November 3 p.m. kickoff has been announced and this is for again to the Cherries trip to Mullen Mullenew Stadium on Saturday the 30th November 3 p.m. kickoff and essentially it goes into saying allocation size so the allocation is up to 1802 tickets for the match and that
00:20:20
afcbournement
the away end allocations at the stadium at Molyneux being located in two separate stands. We have the smaller allocation, which is the 1,802, and then kind of can go up to free end. 3,014 was based on kind of data points and and stuff. So, okay, it's a little bit more detailed than I usually think these things probably might need to be. But anyway, so it basically says there's like a point schedule and that and that if you have 10 or plus
00:21:05
afcbournement
away points. Tickets go, I think you can log on and get your tickets from Tuesday the 15th, 10am, so obviously that was yesterday. Seven away points from tomorrow, so first day the 17th, 10am. Four away points, and that's subject, so so yeah, four away points, one away points, general sale and off sale are all subject to remaining seats.
00:21:30
afcbournement
availability and so four away points is Sunday the 20th October 10 a.m. one away point Tuesday 22nd October 10 a.m. general sale the 24th October 10 a.m. off sale Friday the 29th November and midday pricing adults 30 pounds over 65 22 50 and 21 20 and seventeen twelve under $12, and and disabled prices, so adults $30 over
00:22:12
afcbournement
Actually, they're the same. and then They're the same. So adults 30, over 65, 20, 50, under 21, 20, under 17, 12, under 14, so 50. Personal assistant is free of charge. then goes on to talk about accessibility and wheelchair information, seek locations as well.
00:22:33
afcbournement
So like I'd be upper tier and lower tier in Molyneux Stadium. Block and U5, block and U6, block and block and and Then it goes on to talk about coach travel and pick up points. So Weymouth, K1 bust up, I don't live that down that way of the world. So if you do, you probably know where all these are more than.
00:22:58
afcbournement
I do 7 30 a.m and it will finish at ringwood at 9 10 a.m stopping at Dorchester poor Brank some the bus stop at John Lewis obviously the vitality and the vitality the vitality stadium can't talk today sorry guys and that the coach price general admission is 39 out. And then they have a little bit more of additional information, parking information as well. Then there's a link etikening.co.uk slash wolves. So that came out again also on Monday. So if you want to get your tickets and you had 10 plus away points
00:23:41
afcbournement
you know, get on that because it's kind of open now. It was open from 10am yesterday. And yeah, so that's the other bit of news information to come out of the club about information for that game that's so coming up at the end of

Podcast Wrap-up and Future Teasers

00:23:55
afcbournement
November. So get on that if you want to go to again But guys, thank you so much for tuning into today's podcast. We have been covering other news that's come out of Bournemouth in the last few days or so because it is an international break and so we're all a bit quiet on the Bournemouth front. Players got back in to train him and we'll get ready for Arsenal. And in tomorrow's episode, we're joined by the Arsenal lads and we preview that game. So any comments on anything that I've mentioned today?
00:24:28
afcbournement
