In the absence of another 4-3 defeat to speak of, the OTB podcast brings you a very special episode with voice of Norfolk and all-round nice fella, Chris Goreham.

As part of the deal for having a minor fuss made over him for an episode by Steve Sanders, Dan Brigham and Zoe Morgan, Chris shares his thoughts on the season so far, answers questions from listeners on everything from his favourite Norwich City player name to yell to who the scariest interviewee was, and (the big one...) gives us his own personal Canary Countdown of his top 25 players at the club this century.

Plus, the panel react to the sad news of an actual club legend in Michael Wynn Jones, trying desperately to paint a positive picture of a spate of new injuries, a new game involving a budding Goreham of the future and The Life of Riley, and the return of Earnie...

#220 The Chris Goreham international break special

Oh. Oh dear. Goals did not equal fun at Carrow Road on Sunday, as Norwich City lost 3-4 in a seven-goal-non-thriller, with Bolton taking a big old chisel to expose quite a few considerable cracks and leave the Canaries with five defeats from their opening eight league games.

Steve Sanders, Dan Brigham and Zoe Morgan try and make sense of the nonsensical and question where this has all come from. Is it overly gung ho wingers? Kenny's legs? Vlad's inability to make saves these days? Is Big Phil still the messiah? Suddenly we're questioning everything we held dear.

Plus, going 'phwooaar' at Mo Toure finishes, a splash of country and western, players with their arms hanging off, and possibly the most half-hearted homage you'll hear all season in the latest Canary Countdown.

#219 WTF

First-minute screamers, wild spells of clinging on for dear life, a great comeback, and ultimate heartbreak; Norwich City's 4-3 defeat at Middlesbrough on Saturday had it all.

OTB's Steve Sanders, Dan Brigham and Craig Draycott try (and miserably fail) to sum up 90 crazy minutes in ten podcast minutes: the welly of Toure, the madcap pressing, Vlad's current uncertainties, the last-gasp set-piece catastrophe, and nearly conceding from four of your own corners in a row.

Plus, looking ahead to our greatest cup win of all time, trying to fit all of our attacking players in one team, which Norwich City player would you like to be dressed as, 1980s French waiters, some incredibly quick Boyzone knowledge, and a dog burglar.

#218 Cry me a Riverside

If you think we're above Hugh Jackman film puns then you'd be very wrong. Particularly on a week when Norwich City have turned in a proper vintage away performance to take three points at Bramall Lane with a 3-1 win at Sheffield United, with a certain speedboat starring.

It hasn't all been plain sailing though and Steve Sanders, Dan Brigham and Zoe Morgan try to evaluate what City's first three points on the road mean in the context of the 1-0 defeat to Stoke earlier in the week.

Plus, two more star names hit the Canary Countdown board, it's grim up north for Norwich City, the Clement-Wilder love-in, Big Phil's team (and outfit) rotation, and a little bit of Hollywood A-lister chat obviously.

#217 A prestige win for our greatest showmen

What a difference a week makes, eh? Norwich City's league campaign is off and running after a dismantling of Burnley on Saturday, and you could say they're CUP and running as well! Right? RIGHT??

The Pink 'Un's Connor Southwell joins Ryan Livermore, Dan Brigham and Zoë Morgan to talk over a week of wins, wingers and, um, wonderful (?) Big Phil Clobber that really make you feel like Norwich City are back.

Plus we swoon over Brooks and Ben, Dan (metaphorically) points a Gunn at Connor's head, there's Sophie's Word of the Week, and two away days of red and white to look forward to as well.

#216 And Everything Was Alright Again

Norwich City throwing in a stinker at the start of a season? Oh we're properly up and running now. The Canaries were mauled by The Lions at The Den, with Millwall coming away deserving 3-0 winners on Saturday.

Ryan Livermore, Dan Brigham, Zoe Morgan and Steve Sanders refuse to be rage-baited but nevertheless do some unheard of Big Phil questioning, play the Field (criticism) and ask why this keeps happening at Millwall.

Plus, Ashley Barnes is back in town...and so is Marcus Edwards, just how do the panel unwind after a heavy defeat (somebody wanted to know, okay?), and revealing the long-awaited first two names in the Top 25 Canary Countdown...

#215 Big Phil's Bad Week

Yes, it's a hand pun because there was a handball. Norwich City start the season with a 2-1 home defeat to West Brom that owed more than a little to an illegal body-part.

But the panel of Ryan Livermore, Dan Brigham, Zoe Morgan and Steve Sanders eschew blaming The Hand of Heggebo and instead look with some optimism at what was a good performance with some fairly dodgy finishing, check in on the imminent arrival of Anthony Musaba, and ask a little more out of Pelle Mattsson.

Plus, Zootopia trivia, just how tanned will Alex Neil be this weekend, a few too many Miley Cyrus impressions, and what's the most people you've ever been booed by on your first day at work? We sympathise with poor Matej Jurasek...

#214 Hand away we go

The OTB podcast is back for a new season - and it's time for Philippe Clement to turn honeymoon period into honeymoon permanent (it sounds better when Dan says it).

Host Ryan Livermore, and panellists Dan Brigham, Zoe Morgan and Steve Sanders, are as ever in optimistic pre-season mood, and maybe justifiably this season, with the return of our friend continuity and Big Phil at the helm.

The gang submit their predictions on who'll be player of the season, who'll breakthrough, and where the Canaries finish (one of the panel has the temerity to put them 5th, naming no names...), and plenty more shouts which are sure to age like milk.

Plus brand new features, gulls on the pitch, bus kits, dark horses, light horses, farting horses, URL trouble, Atomic Kitten and some lovely white trousers. Imagine OTB 2025/26 but (EVEN) better, and you're pretty much there.

#213 The OTB Season Preview 2026/27

The 2025/26 season is done for Norwich City, and we're filing this one under 'eventful'.

The OTB podcast team of Ryan Livermore, Dan Brigham, Zoe Morgan and Steve Sanders look back over a nine months that started with optimism at a time when we thought Big Phil was an Eastenders character, took in sackings and boardroom farce, and then a daring rescue by a heroic Belgian.

The team revisit their highlights (Tony Gary's comeback, Clement's bleep test, Kenny waving his arms to help Vlad save a penalty) and lowlights (Sargent, Nunez, basically everything up until November) of the topsiest-turviest season in years, hand out some awards including a tightly fought Player of the Season, and take a deep gulp and revisit a truly honking set of pre-season predictions with the help of Michael Bailey.

Thank you for listening to the OTB (and On The Ball) podcast this season. We'll be back again for the start of our glorious promotion epic in August!

#212 It was the worst of times, it was the best of times

So close yet so far for Norwich City! The OTB panel (bar Steve) are joined by the Pink Un's Connor Southwell to dissect and digest things other than press room pies.

Ryan Livermore, Zoe Morgan and Dan Brigham, along with Connor, talk a squad that may be ready made for a play-off push next year, a wonderful, unified reaction to a *checks notes* 9th place finish that would rival most promotion celebrations, and Kenny's place in our all-time City XI's.

Plus, Dan puts a Gunn to Connor's head to find out his end of season accolades, condemnations, most unusual moments but most of all, his distaste of Blyth services.
