Speaker: Hey Ben, making a podcast is pretty tough, right? Yeah, you gotta like record stuff and then you gotta upload it and it sucks. I know, it's a fucking bummer and it's a lot of effort, but I just found out about Anchor .fm, which lets you record and edit directly through their website or app, as well as upload and publish to platforms such as Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
Speaker: So anchor .fm is not a porn site, right? Not yet, because it's still free too. So you know, they'll start charging once they got only fan style content. That's good. That's good to hear. So if you want to jump on the train before it's all titties and pussies, download the anchor app or go to anchor .fm to get started. Hey everybody, we got shirts. Your favorite coaster sucks on the Amazon store. Check it out.
Speaker: Absolutely right. We do. We got a bunch of colors available and the shirts are in two different designs. We got the classic golden ticket logo and our rolly ride logo. We also got 10 different colors, man. Yeah. Like you're wearing a shirt right now, so you could always use more shirts. Add to the collection. Get in a lot of crazy shit. Wear it in line for your least favorite ride. Tell every Theusey their favorite coaster sucks.
Speaker: Make a fanboy the fury 325 cry. Very easy to do all by sport and your favorite coaster sucks shirt. We also got sweatshirts available through Amazon. We are now shipping to Germany and UK. So if you are out there listening to us, you can get our shit there to buy a shirt.
Speaker: Welcome to the worst roller coaster podcast on the internet. Now let's join Ben and Zach as they tell you why your favorite coaster sucks. I'm Zach and I'm packing a bowl of that green nug. I'm Ben and I'm 215 pounds. Wow. Holy shit. You're like,
Speaker: Really in shape now, man. Yeah, except, uh, hopefully I don't, my heart doesn't explode or something. Well, you didn't smoke as much K2 as I did, so I don't think you have anything to worry about. Oh, is that what happens when you smoke K2? I remember reading about, like, some kid back then when K2 was, like, really a thing that had a heart attack.
Speaker: Oh, wow. I mean, one thing I remember about K2 is that if you smoked it a lot, you built up a really quick tolerance. So you had to do more and more. And I'm sure. Plus, like, there is a sketchy shit. There was like not K2K2. And it was like, oh, yeah, it's like the K2 chemical, but it's it's mutated in a new way. And so it's not illegal.
Speaker: Yeah, I remember they made like the first round of chemicals illegal, like the J01H or J018 or whatever. So they made it like J0110 or whatever. Yeah, right. They just like use a similar chemical. I don't know. I used to smoke a fuck ton of that shit because I worked at six flags and they do random drug tests.
Speaker: It was that weird, which let's be honest, if you work at a theme park and they say they do randoms, they don't do randoms. It's all suspicion based. Yeah, definitely. Also, I heard a story from someone I worked with at Six Flags that they passed their drug test by using toilet water. Huh? Like they peed a little bit into the cup, then used a little bit of toilet water.
Speaker: And then they passed because six flags used at least great America used like shitty drug tests where it literally is just like a pass fail. Was it a I cup? What's that? Oh, it's a, it's a brand of cheap drug tests. It's what Cedar Point used. It's probably similar. It's like they turn it upside down and it literally says pass or fail. Yeah. So like,
Speaker: It's some cheap shit. So I think it's pretty easy to pass those. Yeah, I'm sure I haven't I haven't had a drug test for a job since 2015. No, not even then. The last time I had a drug test for a job, my brother in law paid for me. Nice. Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah, they make those the Wizenators. The guy I was talking about in the Patreon bonus episode, Conrad, he used one of those. Because he was on parole. But he wanted to keep smoking weed, so.
Speaker: If you're in that situation, you got to use the Wizzinator. All right. Well, theme parks are. Yeah, we should watch this video. Well, let's introduce it proper. We're doing another one of our fucking fantastic series where we take a look at a Rob Alvey video.
Speaker: a TPR video from the past. This time we've got coaster expedition volume five. And I believe this one, they are in Japan. Yeah, it's their Japan, a mania trip that was in 2004. I actually this was how I found theme park review. I found all their photo updates.
Speaker: Somewhat they did. They did like a somewhat live photo trip record. It was like a daily update. So it's pretty cool. Yeah, I remember that it was basically like Twitter before Twitter. Yeah. But I also remember this, I think this was the first time Rob Alvey and them were over in Japan. If I'm not mistaken.
Speaker: Yeah, I think it was her first trip. So let's see, 2004. This was like right after Tokyo Disney, see, it opened. It was pretty new still. Because that opened in like 2000, 2001, I think. Yeah. So it was pretty fucking new still. So that's cool.
Speaker: Well, I remember he rides or they ride Fujin region. To. Yeah, right. That ended up killing somebody like a year later. So, yeah, it's one 14. All right. All right. All right. So this is not going to be one of our classically long episodes, as you can tell. Now, Ben, do you have a beverage of some sort?
Speaker: I don't. I got I got a LaCroix though. All right. Ben's got a LaCroix. I've got a paps blue ribbon extra strong. And just to prove it. There, I just opened it. No fucks given. Well, I've also got some Hindu purple Kush that I'm smoking on. Very nice.
Speaker: Indeed, indeed. So without I mean, I don't know. Do we got anything else up top? It's something about Coaster Studios, Midway Mayhem. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'll make a quick I'll make a quick. We'll make a quick blanket statement up top. Pedophilia is bad. And if you are around pedophiles and you have a platform,
Speaker: You should say pedophilia is fuckin' bad. This message is brought to you by your favorite coaster sucks. Also, I'm gonna give another plug to Deezerland. Fuckin' Deezerland is awesome. Go check them out if you're in Orlando. Should be Deezerland. It should be. I mean, that's the entire state of Florida though, so...
Speaker: I think they wanted to specify a little more. You can go to Deezerland in Geezerland. I don't know. Anyway, that place is great. Go check them out. I saw a video of it uploaded by somebody that I follow on YouTube, so it reminded me I had a great time at that place. So go check them the fuck out. Fucking Deezerland, y 'all.
Speaker: I heard their car museum is is has been vastly expanded and is fully open now, which is really, really fucking cool. I'm sorry, I'm stoked on that place. And if they get a coaster, it's going to be even fucking better. They're rumored to get a coaster, so. Anyway, anyway, sorry. Uh,
Speaker: You know, let me just sit here and sip my beer real quick. Perfect. I'm ready to make fun of Rob Alvey in Japan. All right. Are you ready, Ben? I am. Yeah, this will be good. All right. Are you ready, listeners? Good. I'm happy to hear that.
Speaker: Of course, as always, we have this, uh, full video available for free. The link to it is available in the description of the episode. You can watch along. You can watch without the commentary. You can listen without watching whatever you want. It's all there for free. You're welcome. Oh, and while I'm saying all that, um, shouts to all our patrons. We'll read the names later on, but, um,
Speaker: Shouts to our patrons, and if you get a dollar's worth of entertainment a month out of this show, maybe consider joining over on patreon .com slash your favorite coastage sucks. Those are the folks who are able to make it so we can do these fine things like provide free TPR videos for all of you. All right, anyway.
Speaker: You seem to do the countdowns the best, Ben. All right, I'll do that then. All right. Are you as your play button ready? Yeah, it's all pulled up, ready to go. We're in the full screen. OK. Three, two, one, click. And that's OK. That was a. I'm doing hold on. I got to I got to line it back up because I thought that was it. I thought you were just going quick.
Speaker: I don't know. I don't know. Yeah, I should have specified. All right. Are you ready? Yeah, but we're going after one is what you were saying. So yeah, yeah, I'll say click. OK, one. Or three, two, one, click. All right. Oh, of course, let's start with a with a racist song.
Speaker: Well, that's one way to sleep on an airplane. I'm actually impressed by... It actually seemed like MiniDV video quality was way better. I mean, for 2004, this is really good. Yeah. Of course. Yep.
Speaker: I mean, a light with a guy that has a dick hanging out is objectively funny. I'll give him that. Yeah, that's true. But holding up like inflatable boobs is kind of weird. I love how they I love how they're basically eating at all of the American themed restaurants. Yeah, pretty much.
Speaker: Cause it's like, I think it's one of those poodle mats. That's cool. Okay. These arcades do look fucking awesome. Yeah. Wow. Rob looks like he's about half his current weight there. And, and age. Well, I suppose it's been, it has been almost 20 fucking years. God damn it. We're old.
Speaker: I remember I got this when I was a teenager though, like I won it because I remember he used to like giveaway DVDs if you signed up. Yeah. I signed up and I won this one. And so I played it a bunch. All that food they're eating, that was all like American food, right? It was like pizza and shit.
Speaker: Dude, Tokyo looks awesome. I got to get there. I know maybe at some point we'll do our group trip to Japan. You, me, Rhianne, Don, maybe Tommy.
Speaker: The dick measure can? What the fuck? I don't know what that was. Hey, look, it's a convenience store to have in America. Wow, did you know they have 7 -Eleven in Japan? But honestly, the 7 -Elevens in Japan do look fucking really cool.
Speaker: condom hat Japan a mania oh god Hillary Duff seriously or whatever the hell her real name is it's Hillary Duff you're thinking of Lizzie McGuire oh okay that's right
Speaker: I think you may also be thinking of Hannah Montana slash Miley Cyrus. No, I definitely knew this. Wait, is this Miley Cyrus or is this? No, this is Hillary Duff for sure. Yeah. Okay. God, Tokyo Disney looks amazing. Winnie the Pooh's honey hunt does look fucking fantastic.
Speaker: Oh, he's wearing a roller coaster dot net t -shirt. Oh, yeah, it's like the rocky rods. Yeah, I think it's
Speaker: And that ride looks amazing. It's the same ride system as like test track and rocket rides. Yeah. And cars, but the story looks great. See, it's hard to make fun of this video because Rob hasn't put in much of himself.
Speaker: Yeah, right. He's just showing amazing fucking rides at amazing Disney Tokyo. So.
Speaker: The music this music didn't age well, though. No, it did not. Although it also sounds exactly like Miley Cyrus. This sounds like it could be coming from like this song could be anybody that does a Disney song like man or woman or boy or whatever, you know. Yeah, it's almost like they just sort of pick a
Speaker: They just have like whatever the girl singer is of the decade. Kind of. Yeah, I mean, I don't know. They're always churning out pop stars. I don't know if that was Chip or Dale, but I love that costume he was wearing.
Speaker: And of course, toy box, which awesome. I'll give him credit for that. Rob turned me on the toy box and I love music like this. I know, I know, I know. OK, of course, of course. And that wasn't, of course, to what was on screen, which was Rob pretending his dick was a cannon or rather pretending a cannon was his dick.
Speaker: Right, yeah. I - I forgot what I -
Speaker: I'm like, why did Rob Alvey always put in fucking footage of people eating? I never understood that. And it was like, oh, look, it's my plane pasta. Like, I just don't get why you would put in people eating like it. Nobody wants to see that. I don't give a fuck what you ate. Nobody else gives a fuck what you guys ate. Right. I mean, especially like imagine showing off food at Disney and it's just plain pasta. Right.
Speaker: So are they showing? Okay. So they're showing both parks, right? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Which is kind of weird, but kind of makes sense. Dude, all those popcorn flavors look good as shit. I was just thinking about the gun, the toy guns in the store. I feel like,
Speaker: That's probably not anymore. Yeah, right. Oh, no, it's in bed. Have filming random women, right? What a creep. Oh, they do haunted mansion holiday in Japan. That's cool.
Speaker: I don't know if they mentioned if Splash Mountain Japan is getting re -themed or not. Pfft, alright then. Oh god, of course he's using the Bloodhound gang. Wow, Regina. And this was before Kawasemi.
Speaker: Apparently, according to Taylor, this is the worst park in Japan. Yeah, right. It's just like it's so shitty. Some about zoo with a couple of rides and. Well, yeah, of course, there's the the whole, you know, discretion of Cole Martin's amazing because it has an RMC.
Speaker: But Tobu Zoo is shit. No RMC. Yeah, well, they're in the in with with I like to say Regina with Regina. What in coaster, it's. Like, it looks good, like this video footage makes the ride look really good. Yeah, it does.
Speaker: Although it's always weird to see like a PTC. I don't know if those are PTCs or not, or those intimate trains. I couldn't tell there wasn't enough footage of them. Like the actual trains close enough. Anal cheese sacks. Wow. All right. That's something an 18 year old would find funny. Yep.
Speaker: No, I mean, I feel like at 18 years, your sense of humor is a little more developed, maybe like 14. I like that took me a second, but I'm like, oh, yeah, Windjammer had just gotten removed a couple of years ago. Yeah.
Speaker: Interesting. The G max is such a funny word, like, uh, okay.
Speaker: So this is definitely one of the DVDs I literally haven't seen in probably. I don't know, 10 plus years. I think that's one of the reasons I initially wanted to watch these is just because of the nostalgia of watching them. Well, also like, oh, these are way more fun 10 years ago. Oh, yeah. Well, it's like, oh, we're closer to Rob's age and like.
Speaker: He's very immature. Now it just seems like, wow, these people are annoying. Like it seems like they're the people that they're the reason that every other country thinks of Americans is loud and annoying. Yeah, right.
Speaker: It's like you see a raw value video and you're like, well, kind of hard to argue. You know what I mean? Right. Yeah. Was that like a Power Rangers show? Yeah, it kind of looked like it. Also, White Cyclone looked terrible. Or whatever this ride was. Yeah, I think it's White Cyclone.
Speaker: No, white cyclone. Oh, yeah. Didn't have a cyclone layout. It's like bandit or something. Yeah, bandits at that park. That's the Togo. Oh, yeah. This is I don't remember what this wooden coaster is. Why the fuck does it have a Morgan with cages on it? Oh, and the standing sitting coaster.
Speaker: which I just want to point out, not two fucking credits, it's one credit. If you want to count it personally, like it's only one credit once you've ridden both trains, fine. That's up to you. But it's definitely not two goddamn credits. Are people saying that? Well, I mean, it's kind of like the argument about Rogu and Mantis.
Speaker: Where it's like, oh, it's a it's a second credit. No, it's fucking not. Oh, they're doing hand slaps, too. Dude, Bandit looks fucking awesome. I really want to ride that ride. Yeah, it looks really good. It's kind of like the beast. Except it has hills and forces.
Speaker: It looks like it. Like if they built the beast with an interesting layout. There's a lot of dicks. Yeah, right. He was, he was focusing on that hot dog for a hot minute.
Speaker: Okay. This is some 41. He's playing the hell song. Oh wait, but this was back in 04, so Magic Mountain was a shithole back then. Yeah, that's true.
Speaker: Oh, they have one of those who's giant frisbees. I love those. Yeah, I bet that thing is shit capacity.
Speaker: Oh, that's where there's an age thing. No one over age 54. Oh, sorry. Sean Flaherty. You could probably sneak it.
Speaker: Yeah. Hey, Alyssa, film this. Yeah. Hey, I'm going to yell at something. Uh, okay. Dude, Fuji Yama looks awesome. Even with this choppy as POV. Yeah. Yeah. It looks good.
Speaker: Was Slytherin actually a shithole though? I don't know. I've never been there. I mean, the one that was in Kansas killed the kid. That's true. The dad or this kid is like, why are you filming me? Yeah, right.
Speaker: Ew. Also nice fanny pack. Me show me, so me or I forgot that it's called.
Speaker: Huh. Okay, this is the arrow suspended coaster that I was thinking of. Like I knew there's the one in this park. I don't know the name of it, but I know it's defunct and I couldn't ever think of it.
Speaker: Hayabusa. It's kind of weird, the rides like goes through scaffolding.
Speaker: Oof, Vekoma looping coaster, old one. Oh, that's right. That's the one with that Baron curve or whatever. Those ones suck. That's a weird flat ride.
Speaker: And that was Rob. Toshi man. That ride looks cool. It's like a log. Like it looks weird, but it looks cool.
Speaker: Oh, is that the third generation Aero trains right there? Yeah. I don't think I've ever seen those trains on a corkscrew model. They went to a Toys R Us.
Speaker: Maybe because you guys are at a fucking toy store, right? That looks cool. You got to be so fat if that hurts.
Speaker: Like when the restraint on a topspin comes down and you go, ooh. Right. You got to be so fat. It was like. Fabric line seats or like it's like fuzzy. OK.
Speaker: Okay. Seven days. I wouldn't show that off. Oh, this is that Katamari Damacy or whatever the hell the name it. Katamari. We love Katamari. It was like a game where you roll a giant ball and pick up stuff. I have no idea. It was a great game.
Speaker: That looks cool. Of course, he was not allowed to film, but he was anyway.
Speaker: Jaws. This is where the flying dinosaurs, right? Yes, indeed. Yeah. And Hollywood dream.
Speaker: Oh, weird. It's just like, uh, Orlando. Yeah, cool. Film a ride. That's in 3d. That's what I was just thinking. Like, plus I always felt like universal was kind of strict about the camera thing. They're very strict.
Speaker: Although that on the right, he's holding this camera. Probably he just played the whole like, oh, if they say anything, I don't speak their language. Oh, yeah, I bet. They're like. They're like, oh, sorry, we said you can't bring your camera on the rides. He's like. Uh.
Speaker: Do you know who I am? He tried to pull out a business card. This place is gone because this is the place to have food in region to. Was there a first food in region? I don't think so. Down coaster and then they converted it into a stand up. Maybe I don't know.
Speaker: And there's a Raptor clone. It's now in France. Oh, that's right. They want the walligator. Yep. Yeah. That's kind of sad. What's that? Like three adults riding a kiddie coaster.
Speaker: Like, I guess it's not sad when you do it like once and you're all like kind of having fun and whatever. But if you're doing it on every park, you know what I mean? Yeah, right. That is the weirdest fucking water ride ever. What the fuck, a subway?
Speaker: It must be nice to be if you own a theme park in another country and you just buy us clones of rides. Right. Nobody here has ever seen it. Oh, it's that Mobius coaster. I think that was the world's longest roller coaster. Crazy.
Speaker: OK, you should not touch shit at amusement parks like that. They're the people that like you literally look at them as adults and you go, you go, OK, they are having too much fun. You know what I mean? Right.
Speaker: Oh, my God, we're so random. Here's some object that we're laughing at. Right. I'm going to I'm just going to like start fucking with like the props and a walkthrough. Dude, what? That toast man was awesome.
Speaker: That makes sense if there's one train. Yeah. Oh, God, the song. I love this song. I grew up in the early 2000s. Of course I love all this kind of music.
Speaker: I really wish I could have visited this place. You can still break in and explore it. Yeah, pass. I mean, like the fact that it looked like. Like it honestly was built to be Disneyland in Japan.
Speaker: Yeah. But then Disney was like, yeah, no, never mind. So they're like, well, we could still make it. A theme park, you know. Of course, really ghetto, really ghetto. I love I love how they use the term ghetto to I know. Like that was something you said if you were in high school in the 2000s, but.
Speaker: a white kid in suburban high school in the 2000s. Yeah, you said that and didn't realize how insensitive it was. And now we all realize you don't say that, especially if you're a fucking adult, because what are you really trying to say? Does it look cheap? Then maybe say cheap. Oh, good God.
Speaker: That was a random Jewish joke. Isn't that the creepy guy that, like, assaulted Julie through the forums? Joey? Uh... No, that was... No, that was the Denver guy. Um... Egg Mikey. No, but I was pretty sure Joey did, too. Oh, okay. On TPR. Oh, okay. Before the fallout.
Speaker: That was a random. Did you hear that when like. They showed the swastikas and he's like, hey, Joey, because I think Joey's Jewish. Yeah. Dude, Oscar looked awesome because it looked like Viper, but it has the two benches. Yeah, I mean, looking at the POV, it's like every bent is exactly the same.
Speaker: And Viper is fucking amazing. I feel like people don't show enough love to Viper, you know what I mean? Yeah, OK, go ahead and shit on Disneyland.
Speaker: Oh, my God, offspring. And that really fills you in where Rob's at when he's like a 35 year old man and listening to the offspring and Hillary Duff. Well, OK, Lissa was only like in her mid 20s, so. That's true.
Speaker: And I'll also say I'm, I'm in my thirties and I like the offspring, but that's because they were popular when I was a kid. It is very, it is like a very mean street kind of ride. Like it's funny how it looks like shit. Nagashima's spotlight is so much like Cedar Point.
Speaker: Hakuge looks really good though. Yeah. That looks really cool. Dude, I would have bought that white cyclone shirt for sure. Yeah.
Speaker: Interesting. Oh my god, I'd be so stoked to ride a Schwartzkopf in Japan.
Speaker: I would love to ride one of those ultra twisters. Yeah, it was a good. That was a rough cut. I like how he bitched about Steel Dragon not being open. Like that thing wasn't open for like three years. Like and it wasn't like it had just closed between the time you booked your trip and that, you know,
Speaker: Because it's like you really don't exactly have the right to bitch about things that you know about Like that, you know, yeah, right If like two of the other coasters were closed at that park that day I'd get it I'd be pissed too. I
Speaker: Oh my God. Those are fun. I did that in Germany. That looks fun, but it looks like it would be hard to do with Rob alley on the other side. Oh shit. Yeah. Sometimes open to the DDR music, by the way.
Speaker: Not surprisingly, the name of this song is Young Forever. That is a weird track. It is. It's like deep. Is that that one Michu or whatever? Uh, I don't know.
Speaker: God damn, they got to ride three wooden coasters in Japan on this trip.
Speaker: This park looks awesome. Yeah, I know the inverts pretty high up. Yeah, like that right looks pretty good. Yeah. Pyrenees.
Speaker: begin with the plain pasta. Yep. What? That didn't even make sense. Okay. Here for Pyrenees though. Yeah. It's like the size of helping guys.
Speaker: with the layout, kind of like Raptor or Batman. And then the second half is like terrain coaster. Yeah, it's kind of like. Raptor meets. Oh, yeah, it's like Batman and rap dueling dragon.
Speaker: And of course, got to use some Shakira music for a park that's themed to Spain. That part looks awesome.
Speaker: It's all about both ways. Weird. Holy shit, that view, though. Hmm.
Speaker: It's actually like looking at all this stuff. It blows my mind how much Japan looks like the state of Washington. Scenery wise. It's like the third time she did that. Yeah, I don't get it.
Speaker: All right. Oh God, I remember this. Huh?
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: All right. Of course. Rob falling over. Oh shit. It's the, um, I full 65 or whatever. I feel 65, uh, my council.
Speaker: There is so much copyrighted music in these videos. That looks cool. Halfpipe Canyon. That looks like a fun place.
Speaker: Yeah, that's like, um, although have you ever gone to an arcade recently, like in the last couple of years, it's, uh, pretty much every arcade game now is just a flat LCD screen with a camera. Like it's all emotion sensor. That makes sense. I still feel like in Japan, they'd be cool. Yeah.
Speaker: week. It's just, and like, Oh, that's right. They started talking shit about this ride. Yeah. He's like, okay. Doesn't look that bad. No, it looks cool.
Speaker: I mean, it's clearly not expedition G force. So I don't know what people were expecting. It looks like, um, avalanche or hellcat, whatever it's called. Yeah. But as a intimate hyper coaster.
Speaker: The hell is this crap? Oh shit, blue fall. I want to go on that ride. Oh, also that coaster that goes like halfway out over the ocean. Oh yeah. There it is. God, that looks like Washington. It looks like Seattle.
Speaker: Holy shit. So it's 300 and. I want to say this is like 50 feet taller than giant drop. I think giant drops only like 230. OK, so bluefall is 328 feet, OK?
Speaker: So it's like a hundred feet taller than giant job. That boat jumping shit's crazy.
Speaker: Was shitting on knots a cool thing to do back then? Yeah, they did. They were all about it. You can tell he's like. I want to go on that ride. Diving coast your vanish.
Speaker: That's always the roller coaster that's in memes where it's like, check out this underwater coaster. And then someone random person in your family, like shares it. Have you seen this? Yeah. Or like tags you. And it's like, I could go on here and tell you what that is, but also I'll just like it and move on with my life. Yeah. Right.
Speaker: Yeah, I was like someone in my family shared a steel vengeance animated POV a year after the ride opened. And it's just like. Right, yeah, yeah, thank you.
Speaker: This is awesome. Microwave popcorn. Oh my God, dude, it microwaves the popcorn for you. OK, then. Oh, now they're at Epcot.
Speaker: And clearly this is 2004 because they have segways. Oh, that's right. There's it's not just Japan in this DVD. I totally forgot. No, they they did some other shit. I think Tommy Faircloth's in here because they go to Dollywood, I think. OK, and Carowinds and shit.
Speaker: Isn't this song in Peewee Herman? I think so. Like Peewee's Great Adventure? Yeah. Or Big Adventure? Like it's the music with the breakfast machine. I think you're right, yeah. Okay, this does look pretty cool though.
Speaker: Like if they still had this, I'd want to do it. I did this really cool job in college where I worked at the science tech technology museum in Milwaukee and I would just do segue. We had like a segue thing. So I got to do segue tours. It was really funny watching people fall off a segue. How often did that happen? Quite often.
Speaker: Oh wow, yeah.
Speaker: Dude, Thunderhead's awesome. Yeah, this is when it was brand new. Oh yeah. That red looked cool. Mm hmm.
Speaker: I can actually see Rob like, Hey, can you spell fag? I'm sure he did. It'll be really funny. Hey, Morgan, you should knock over the fag. No, no, no. I'll pay for it. It's fine. And they spend like 20 minutes there. Like we all just kind of wanted to ride a ride or get lunch.
Speaker: Hold on, it'll be really funny. He'd absolutely be the person like, you know why we're all here, right? Oh, yeah.
Speaker: I'm pretty sure Thunderhead is the only GCI that has stronger than zero G. That's possible. Yellow card.
Speaker: Wow, Hollister. Right. Stuff. What are they doing hanging out with this teenager, by the way? Right. I definitely looked him up on Facebook, by the way. He's a doctor now. Oh, really? Yeah. What kind of doctor?
Speaker: I didn't look that hard. I just thought maybe it'd be funny to have him on the show. And then I saw he's a doctor and I'm like, he's probably not going to answer my email. He probably did a clean split off coasters pretty early. Probably being in all these videos and having all those weirdos around you probably would turn you off from that shit.
Speaker: I get it. If I was in Rob Alvey videos when I was a kid, I probably would not like this shit now. And if I did, I probably would just like it privately. You know what I mean? Right. I wouldn't want to be a member of any fucking community here.
Speaker: Um. Hmm. We didn't go in there, remember? You know what I. Yeah. I remember standing outside of that fence. Because Chris got in for free. And we were like, we're not paying 55 bucks a piece to get in for one coaster. Yeah.
Speaker: Dude, I wonder if that kid gets a bunch of weird coaster people coming up to him. So Pittsburgh is playing Cleveland and my friend's group tech, like this group text is just so funny.
Speaker: But yeah, yeah. Biddy dee dee dee dee dee dee dee dee dee dee dee dee dee dee dee dee dee dee dee dee. Coast Star Expedition.
Speaker: Oh, is that it? It's a replaying. What? That's weird. All right. Well, hold on. There's more. Let's let it play out. Shit. I already skipped it. You did know. I mean, like I accidentally clicked the timeline thing. Oh, okay. Okay. So yeah, they threw the intro in there by accident. Oh, we're up. We should re -sync.
Speaker: All right. I'm going to pause at 57 43. Let me know when you're there. It's just one segment, bump it up like two minutes. Okay. Yeah. Go to.
Speaker: Probably like 60 minutes in. OK, I met. It's an hour and 33. OK, yeah, it's a Hershey Park. One hour, 33. OK. All right. Yeah, it's the end of that intro segment. OK, shit, it's probably going to fuck up the audio.
Speaker: I'm not putting in the audio because it's all copyrighted music. Oh, okay. That's a good point. All right. All right. So we're restarting. You're at a one hour, 33, 60 minutes, 33 seconds. Yes. And the title card is fading out, right? Yeah. OK, we are restarting from one hour and 33 seconds because there is a second intro video.
Speaker: You do the countdown, Ben. All right. I'm going to I'm going to do a three to one click. All right. Three, two, one. Click. All right. Perfect. And Hershey Park with I Want Candy by Aaron Carter. Oh, Aaron Carter. Oh, it said Dave Dave guy with the weird woman wife.
Speaker: Remember that footage from, um, what ride was that? Um, megaphobia. Oh yeah. I'll have to get us, um, volume six and seven to do for upcoming episodes.
Speaker: Yeah. It's random. Storm runner and it was brand new then. Yep. Yeah. Mm hmm.
Speaker: Yeah, overexposed footage. Yeah, that megaphobia thing was so funny. Don't let him put your don't put his finger in it. I got to wonder, like, do these weirdos go like, hey, Rob, get your camera ready. I'm going to do something. Right. Yeah.
Speaker: Well, not anymore because Rob doesn't make videos like this anymore. He doesn't have fun at parks anymore. It's too busy on Twitter.
Speaker: What's kind of funny too is that there's other people in the group, in the group, but they're not. Yeah. I wonder if they're just like, no, we don't want to be in the video. Probably. Okay.
Speaker: How the hell do you make a whole video out of castles and coasters? Oh, you use a DDR song. That makes sense. I want to go there. I probably would have had these credits except COVID. Cause you know, all my in -laws are out in Phoenix. Yeah.
Speaker: And I like the idea of riding an Eli Bridge roller coaster. Black dude, okay.
Speaker: Oh, yeah, I heard that. That's not surprising at all. It's fucking Phoenix. In 2004.
Speaker: Yeah, Phoenix is just like a refugee city of everyone who gets priced out of California. Oh, Astro World. And yeah, that's pretty true about Phoenix. Oh, oh.
Speaker: This guy only hung out with him for like one year. Like he was never in anything again. Like I completely understand now as an adult, like why the fuck you wouldn't give a fuck. Yeah.
Speaker: Like as a kid, when I was like a teenager watching this, I was like, like, who wouldn't want to be friends with him? And I'm like, why would you want to be friends with him? Dude, I wish I could have gone to Astro World, though.
Speaker: Not for that fucking ride, though. Yeah, those aren't fun. I think Cobra at Lauren was one of my least favorite steel coasters. Yeah, it was really bad.
Speaker: Whoa. Although, like, you see, OK, did you notice how like every one of those clips, the people looked at Rob for like a split second? Yeah, because he's being an asshole. Right. Which implies that he was very obvious about it. Which doesn't surprise me at all. Because if you look at how he looks now, right?
Speaker: God, imagine if he was your dad. They were just on their way to try to get lunch, and I was like, hold on a second, let's park here. Yeah, yeah, film this.
Speaker: Yeah, and you WK for sure. I wonder what it's like to go through one of those spinning tunnels on like second rooms. I mean,
Speaker: I did Meow Wolf with that, but they didn't have quite a spinning tunnel. It was similar. It was like an infinity room. There's mirrors on both walls and it looks like it goes out forever. That's crazy. Dude, Horror Nights is so great.
Speaker: Dude, you were not supposed to film any of Bill & Ted for sure.
Speaker: I mean, uh, uh, uh, uh, here we go. I remember watching like videos like this when I was a kid and being like, why, why would you like spend so much time in Orlando? There's not even that many coasters.
Speaker: Oh God, dueling dragons. I miss that ride. Everything else they did this year. That's not that much. I mean, for a Japan, for having a Japan trip and all those trips, that's a pretty busy year.
Speaker: But like half of that list was just FECs or fares. That's why they that's why they didn't focus on it. Got to put in an aqua song. Mm hmm.
Speaker: You know, looking back and all the time, splitting hotel rooms and sleeping on floors and shit, you know how much easier it would have been with just like a $40 air mattress to just bring on a road trip? Oh my God, that would have saved my ass in several situations.
Speaker: See, they also went to Vegas. Oh, we've been on that. Yep. Bro.
Speaker: I like those fly out plane rides. Ben, did you ever get your coaster count in order? No. I'll do it. You know, you know that you promised that on episode two. Huh? Good thing no one remembers. I'll do it. I'll do it. Maybe this week.
Speaker: I'll put on a post and note it. I'm really curious. Get your count in order. We have to compare. I'm at 477 now.
Speaker: Oh, Desperado. Why? That's not even a fun amount of asscrack to show. Like, that's just gross. Yeah, and with hair and shit. Toilet paper, shnibbles. Dingleberries.
Speaker: All right. Oh, and the boat jumping. That's fucking amazing. Everyone for your support over the years for buying our videos. All right. Well, that was fun. Yeah, that was interesting nostalgia. I feel.
Speaker: Uh, I don't know how I feel. I feel old, but it's not that much time. I mean, doesn't 2004 feels like so long ago. It's almost 20 years. Well, almost it's like 16 years. We got, we got four whole years before.
Speaker: OK, I guess it's 17 years. Well, not OK. This came out at the end of 2004 as well. So technically, that's almost like 2005. So it's like. All right. All right. All right. All right. Well, we're going to do volume four next time. We had an issue with getting that uploaded. Yeah, so so it's funny, I was clicking
Speaker: I was like clicking all the download buttons, and then I noticed that in my download file, some of them actually downloaded, but number four is the one that can't do. Yeah, that one is good. All right, we'll do that one, and I'll get six and seven, because I know a very young me is in one of those.
Speaker: Was it number six? The 2005 one that wasn't the Europe one. OK, yeah. All right, it's time to do the annoying shit.
