loganhoward111
Hello and welcome to From Dublin to Cleveland. I am Logan Howard, and this is the final part of the Fear of the Lords series. Round of applause for everyone who has made it through this far.

Podcast resumption plans

00:00:22
loganhoward111
It's taking time to listen to me talk for five to 10 minutes every week. um Here we are at the last part, so this is the end soon. You will hear my dulcet tones and Brendan's um dolpht tones I don't know. I couldn't come up with another word off time I had. But you'll hear both of us together again soon. Summer is coming to an end and wrapping up. And so I will be back in the great state of Ohio in August, beginning of August, you know, 6, 7, somewhere in there. So shortly, mid-August, we'll probably be doing a podcast and getting that out for everybody to listen to. And we'll get back to this as routinely as we can.

New series announcement

00:01:06
loganhoward111
you know starting a new job and everything might slow it down a little bit, but we'll try and do once or twice, or once a week or or twice a month, somewhere in there, get a good fit of how it fits. um But Brendan will be probably doing some series shortly, so be on the lookout for that.

Acts 31 reflection

00:01:24
loganhoward111
um Here we are with, of course, the final part, and this is going to be from Acts 31. um first and only New Testament edition. So very interesting. But here's what Acts 31 says. the Then the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee and Samaria had peace and were edified and walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied. So how do we go about multiplication in the church? How do we go about multiplication? It's ah about walking
00:02:04
loganhoward111
in the comfort and the fear of the Lord. Walking with Him. That's how we multiply. When we walk with Him, ah others want to be want to join and be a part and grow with us. um And when they had peace, when they stopped bickering about things, stopped arguing about stuff, when they decided that, look, we're all on the same team here. Let's go together. They edify each other. They build each other up. They walk in fear. They walk in the fear of the Lord. We can have this today in our churches. We don't. We don't. You know, maybe you have some church, maybe like the Hebron church group, or you have some other group churches. and The Baptists are grouped, and the Mennonites are grouped, and the Methodists are grouped, and we can have that peace in our churches, right? If we all claim to follow Christ as our Lord and Savior,
00:02:59
loganhoward111
We can all be on the same page for honoring the good king, right? That's what we're supposed to be about. Sure, we have disagreements and arguments about baptizing babies or any of these, ge you know, minute little things, but we should be able to put on conferences. We should be able to share the gods. We should be able to have joy and peace with each other. in our fellowship.

Unity in Christianity

00:03:19
loganhoward111
Now, here's the problem with the internet, okay? Internet lets us create memes, creates things that frustrate other Christians, and then we start arguments online for absolutely no reason whatsoever. um And we can have peace. We can have this. We can build the church and grow the church the way it needs to grow because
00:03:39
loganhoward111
I'm a Baptist, all right? I am one where they make the joke that they said, oh, the Baptist, this is the Baptist corner of heaven. They are the only ones who think they're there. I know that there are going to be Catholics who get into heaven, right? There are Catholics who truly believe Jesus Christ, their Lord and Savior. Sure, they might. They should probably move to a different denomination because the Catholic Church has not been doing that lately. And there are some Methodist Church that, you know, invite homosexuality and all these other things into their churches. And I'm sure there's Baptist churches that do the same thing. um But Christians, it doesn't really matter what kind of denomination we have. It matters who our Lord and Savior is. That's the important thing. If your Lord and Savior is Jesus Christ,
00:04:21
loganhoward111
That's all I care about. Sure. Do I think that there are decision making? Do I think there's um you know pinpoint things that maybe I'm frustrated, especially the emotion part. we so We get so focused on emotions. And some of the Christian walk is not emotions at all. It is is just rational. And some of it is emotions. It needs a balance of both. You can't just focus on emotions. And you know that we can go on and on about my opinions and my topics and stuff. But at the end of the day, If Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior, you and I are on the same page, right? We're on the same team. If he is number one in your heart and life, we're on the same page. If he's not, then we're not.

Focus on shared beliefs

00:04:59
loganhoward111
um And so we can we can have peace, we can have we can edify each other, we can walk in the fear of the Lord and comfort one another, and we can multiply as a church, as a body of believers, we can multiply.
00:05:13
loganhoward111
It doesn't matter whether we have a non-denomination, a Baptist, a Catholic, a Methodist. If our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, get out of the way. We are running through them. We are going all the way. um It doesn't matter if you're maybe more charismatic, you know charismatic churches. ah Not my cup of tea, but if your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, he is your utmost ah you know, utmost person that you follow, then you're on our side, you're on our team. Even if you don't go to church, or maybe you are looking for a church, correct decision number one, you're on our side. um I think we need to start drawing the line there.
00:05:54
loganhoward111
and stop drawing lines that, oh, well, you have to believe what the Baptists believe or any of those things. And, you know, I'm not saying when you marry somebody, you need to consider those kinds of things, because that's a different level of commitment. But just on every day, we need to be working on, we're on the same team if God is truly our Lord and Savior. So pray for us this summer. We're going to have different people coming in. We're going to have different religions. We're going to have different
00:06:25
loganhoward111
thinking and thought processes. We're going to have atheists. We're going to have a whole bunch of kids that come to our camp this summer that and Christ is not their Lord and Savior. And it it hurts the body if we argue about the little differences between us now. And there's there's a time and a place to talk doctrine, to think about doctrine, to go over doctrine. There's times and a place. Staff training is great for it because you kind of get to know or get to talk about things that you wouldn't normally talk about. um College is good for that. um But for sharing the gospel with people, we need to all be on the same page. We need to all make sure God is our Lord and Savior, and He's our utmost. um And we do everything for Him.

Closing prayer and blessings

00:07:09
loganhoward111
so Let's close in prayer and then this will be the end, part 15 of the Fear of the Lord series. So, Jesus, we thank you so much for this day. We you are thankful for each and every one listening. We pray that you be with them, that you encourage them, that you challenge them through this series. Lord, that you know as that we would that we'd be challenged with this thought, that we are to be living out the fear of the Lord, walking in it, that we're supposed to be multiplying and growing the church. And Lord, help us with that. Help us to multiply the church, to grow the church, and to to figure out where we need to be and on the same page. And Lord, there are going to be differences. There are going to be things we're going to argue about, things we're going to be frustrated about. Help us to be on the best on the same page as much as we can, to love each other, to care for each other, and to build the body through our peace and our edifying of each other.
00:07:59
loganhoward111
Lord, we just pray that you be with us, help us to come alongside each other, to help each other this summer, help the staff to grow in this, to be on the same page, help divisions to be squashed in, um gotten rid of as soon as possible. Lord, help us to find them and them not to be hidden or secretive, but they would be out in the open and we'd be able to deal with them. Well, we just pray that you give us a good rest of the day. Bless those who listen, bless those ah who have given their time to listen to this series. Lord, help it to be beneficial to them, to edify them, to challenge them, and to grow them. Thank you so much, in Jesus' name, amen. Thank you all for listening. I've been really... It's been something I've wanted to do for a long time, just a teaching series on the fear of the Lord because it's kind of ah an aloof...

Series summary and farewell

00:08:43
loganhoward111
um thing but it's really cool when you sit down and you just go through all the verses to talk about it and um tie them together and see where God you know what does this mean what does this look like what does this full breath look like and so to tie it all together of course the fear of the Lord It is conviction. The fear of the Lord is wisdom. It's clean. It endures. It's to be taught to others. It's the beginning of knowledge. It's to hate evil. It prolongs our days. It's safety and confidence. It's life away from death.
00:09:18
loganhoward111
is better than riches provides the riches and honor and life that we need it removes the envy of sinners it is a delight and is to be lived out so I pray for each and every one of you that you'd be living this stuff out, that it would be very beneficial to you. ah If you have liked this series, you wanted us to do something very similar to this, send us an email at from Dublin to Cleveland at gmail dot.com.
