Speaker: Welcome to Wine Mama, a podcast where two bestie moms whine while they whine. I'm Jemina. And I'm Annie. Let's whine. And I brought a little something in here with me because we just came back from New York.

Speaker: It's up to you. york do like Oh my gosh. Lady Liberty has joined the chat. Everybody. I just want everyone to know. It's a lot cuter when your hair is down, but it is a greasy hair day. So I look, um, yeah.

Speaker: So I have you guys for, if this posts, if this does not get posted, this will definitely be posted. This will definitely, I can promise you this will be a clip. i Guaranteed. Guaranteed. I have my Statue of Liberty, little styrofoam cutie, um headband, hat, um maybe a visor. Kind of similar to a visor. Could be a visor. Could definitely play pickleball in that.

Speaker: Definitely could. I mean, she gives the shade. she gives lady fingers. just given Five fingers up. Or how many is it? That's six. Six fingers up. I'm dead. Anywho.

Speaker: We are back from New York. We got these silly little hats one day. That's a whole other story in and of itself. um Honestly, we should have switched this to Chitty Chats just to talk about y'all's trip because what like.

Speaker: Let's do Chitty Chats next week. we can do chitty chats next week but i just want to point out because while annie like was experiencing life in new york city celebrating aubrey's 18th birthday which is crazy to think i went to this baby shower and we literally all talked about what like mvp parents taking their daughter not only their daughter but ah the daughter's friend or your child's friend it can be a boy too i guess you whoever you want to new york city for what you guys want five days or something Oh, yeah, we were Sunday through Thursday. So yeah, we were there for a long time because we ended up getting the Wednesday Harry Styles tickets. So I was like, well, we got to take advantage of the weekend, but we got to stay till till Thursday. So and they had Monday off of school because of a holiday. So I'm like, yeah, this will work. This is fine I'm just like, we were just also like all our friends were just like, I was like, is that not the most incredible thing? And then of course I'd let them know like the sad part about it is that I was the plan B option. Unfortunately i did not get to go but because I was the plan B. um So same with Allie and you know, of course I'm pointing to Allie.

Speaker: but I just want everyone to understand. Like I understand the importance of the parents being the one to celebrate the 18th birthday yeah and completely accepted the boot. proudly and willingly but were just like what an incredible gift and i cannot wait to che chat about it we'll put a pin on that because i have so i want to hear all about it and how it went um but i just want to give kudos where kudos gets deserves because that is like the ultimate like she will talk about that for the rest of her life I hope so. i hope so. It was supposed to be just like the best, like most fun trip for her turning 18, celebrating her, doing everything she wanted to do. so yeah, so I will put a pin in my hair looks crazy now. Put a pin in it until next week because there's so many things I want to kind of talk about and some funny things that like I just have to ask you guys if you've experienced. But Yes. and oh How are you guys doing before we jump into the wine? How, how are you guys doing? I feel like we have talk it. yeah. You know, and nothing crazy here. we we did a quick Tallahassee trip to celebrate one of our good friends, newest member of the family. She is pregnant with her third baby. We should have her on discuss, you know, how it is having three littles. Cause think she'll be three under four.

Speaker: or somewhere along. ah Yeah. Cause Will is four. Yeah. So she'll have three under four, three under four, which is wild. Um, the stamina, the energy, love, love for them.

Speaker: I love that for you. Personally, I'm on my own, um growth journey, so I just don't have the mental space for that. But, um, so it was great. It was so fun. Like I said, we, um, of course you were missed, but we totally all understood the reasoning why, i mean yeah um,

Speaker: And then other than that, kids are great. My parents, I'm going to give them a shout out because my parents, you guys finished, and I never know how to say this correctly, but they did a hike that is very famous in Portugal and it ends in Spain, I believe. It's like the Camino of Santiago, I think is what it's called. And it's like... So basically they hiked like 80 to 93 miles and it's over the course of days. Like they did like, you know, they stayed in places, you know, they hiked a certain amount and then they would stay and like, they had like a baggage service that would take their luggage to the next location. So like could track them back home, which I thought was really cool that you could do that. Yeah. Yeah. They would send us like a video update at the end and we could track their mileage. It was so cool. So I'm giving them kudos. Cause that was like, what a dream of an accomplishment for them. um Like i i like,

Speaker: Can't imagine doing that. I mean, they're they're not super old, but like, that's a lot of walking. yeah Yeah. With a hiking backpack. Yeah. Like, I don't even know I would do that in my, my ripe old age of 30, 36. I'm Oh my gosh. I was waiting for you to be like freshly 36 or something like that. Like, okay, here she goes. Here we go. too But I, you know, you know, sometimes I just have to, the people know, right? The ones who know, know that I am the youngest one here on the podcast. Yeah. And by by the people knows, she just makes sure she mentions it every time, especially in August, specifically. Specifically in August. Like, people probably don't even want to listen to this podcast in August because I so wildly obnoxious about it. But yeah anyway. um We're here to drink some wine, and I just want to preface that everyone is about to be shocked.

Speaker: You guys, the bomb is about to be dropped when we start discussing this wine. So with that being said, are you ready? a Drum roll. Are you ready to wine with our wine of the week?

Speaker: Let's do it. And this week in the theme of Halloween coming up, we are drinking the 19 crimes, the mummy hard shard. Now, if you guys are grabbing, grasping at your pearls, a gasp of shock. Yes. Yes. We have done a full circle moment with 19 crimes and Chardonnay. We are doing it again.

Speaker: But if you've seen these bottles in the stores, it was kind of like, listen, it's Halloween. We've got to give them a try. So this is the hard chard. It's deep, rich, and sweet, and the perfect wine to share with your not so average guest. Tasting notes are melon, cream, butterscotch, and spice.

Speaker: and the flavor profile you'll will feel some stone fruit jammy full bodied which i'm not sure how i feel about the color is giving hard sh chard it's giving hard charge she is yes yeah so um but this is pretty widely available and i think this is what gosh what was the price point on this i think

Speaker: 12.99 that's anywhere between like 12 ish to 15 of course always pending where you buy it from right um but you guys we went straight off vibes okay we went straight up vibes we know and you know what maybe maybe there's a piece of us that just really wants to give martha another chance She, you know, she deserves another shot. And maybe the mummy vibes will be the vibes. Mummy, Martha. you know Yes, yes. um So are you ready to give this are you ready to give this a try?

Speaker: Let's do it. Let's go for it. Ready? Cheers to this Halloween wine. Happy Halloween, everybody. It's not Halloween yet, but you know, you know what we mean. It's close enough. It's close enough.

Speaker: oh man it's giving hard my god sorry i think i just threw up in my mouth we're just starting to play the clip back because it definitely just came up a little bit we're just we're going to get a chaser of water with that is she okay the answer is not she's not And this is why it's good to give second chances. But, you know, fool me once.

Speaker: Shame on you. Fool me twice. Shame on me, baby. That's on me. That was straight on me. And the funny thing is, we tried to go for another wine. It like wasn't available at like one of our targets. And then you were sending other ones. I'm like, no, we just got to go with The Mummy. like It's still on brand.

Speaker: And you're like, we've done this before. And I was like, we're just going to go with it. I've seen this film before. and I didn't like the ending. Well, welcome back. You're not going to like the ending here. yeah Plot twist. It's the same ending. it's really not a Plot twist. Blunt twist. You knew there wasn't one. We knew what we did with this. um And which is why I had to preface everybody that at the shock. We went on again. We went off vibes because at the end of the day, it's going to make the most beautiful flower arrangement piece to bring to your Halloween party.

Speaker: listen, the, the, um, bottle is really, I can't get my like scowl off my face. Um, the bottle is really cute. Like it's fun. It's a fun Halloween vibe. yeah The taste is just lackluster if you will, but either way, we'll get into this fun little episode.

Speaker: Either way. And you know what, because we are in the judgment zone right now, it actually works out very perfect for, um what we're going to talk about today, because today what we're doing is we're going to, basically judge parenting decisions that we have absolutely no business judging because chances are we've done them. And but it's one of those things that, you know, we say, oh I would never.

Speaker: We do it. We do it. But we're here to judge them because sometimes it's a little different when someone else does it. feels a little different. it It's so true. And um I'm glad that you you brought that up. And listen, when we say judge, we judge you, but like, it's, how do i how am i so how do I say this? In a loving way. We're judging in a loving way, not in a way that we would ever not say this to your face.

Speaker: Right. it's something that we would say to your, but now, if we're judging you, what but let's just, we're just going get into it. So the first one we're going to cover is letting your kids stay home for kind of like, um, say like a mental health day, but like they had a bad day before they're really not feeling it. They're really not feeling themselves letting your kids stay home.

Speaker: I have absolutely done that. I'll be honest. Yeah. But when I hear like Aubrey tell me that like so-and-so so stayed home because of all, I'm like, Oh, okay. but, my but I have definitely done it for her And yeah, I, yeah. And I feel like, I mean, think about it from our perspective too. Like we, we take mental health days. Why can't they like, it's pretty stressful out there. Not gonna lie. Um, but yeah, i feel the same way. Cause then you hear like other parents be like, Oh, well they woke up and they just said they weren't feeling it today. And I'm like,

Speaker: That doesn't seem like an excuse good enough for me to keep them home. What? Yeah. So that's the school. She's got friends there. She's fine fine. She'll be fine. Yeah. I think the problem and the judginess comes when it's twice a week.

Speaker: Oh, sure. Multiple times a month. Right. it's When it's like a consistent behavior. Now it's just like, that's our excuse. Right. And is this really what's happening? Right.

Speaker: You're not. That's when you need to like evaluate. Maybe you need to homeschool. Like maybe that's the path for them. Maybe they don't like school. Maybe these guys don't need to go to school at all and you need to be there. yeah Maybe you're the one that they need. Like, yeah again, no judgment, but I'm just, yeah it's a, it's a possibility to think about.

Speaker: I feel like it's a possibility to think about. So, okay. Another one that um i have, I'm definitely guilty of, but God bless it. If someone else does it in front of me to my children, I'm like,

Speaker: Anyways, giving dessert before dinner. Is it a reward? Is dessert considered a reward to everybody? Or is it just another food? At that point, why does it matter? um I can tell you guys literally this past week, I gave my children cookies before dinner. So...

Speaker: But that I think what triggers me more, though, is, like, when it's, like, a family member. And I'm like, no. like but Now, if they ask, then, like, if they ask my, like, permission or whatever, whatever but if they're like, ooh, let's go grab a cookie. And I'm like, oh, okay. Excuse me? Yeah. Then it's definitely no. If you didn't ask me, I could have said yes if you asked me. But now it's like. Mm-hmm.

Speaker: I don't think so. Oh, please. I mean, I've done the same thing too, but yes, for us, like a treat after dinner and they don't get one every night, but if they've been really good that day, they ate really well, like typically, yes, a treat after dinner.

Speaker: I agree. So then sometimes if you give it to them before, it's like, well, what do you have to kind of if you need to bribe them to get through dinner and did we well behaved or whatever, what do you have to bribe them with? You already gave them their treat.

Speaker: Right. ah yeah Yeah. Like you set yourself up for failure because at that point they're going to want to treat sandwich. Right. They went one before and at the end. You think these kids aren't smart enough for that? Like, please. But I totally agree with you. with it's the this I think it's the slyness of if like a family member does it, of not asking. Like, hu pending situations, a lot of times I will say, sure. I mean, what's now? Are you giving them a full-blown Sunday?

Speaker: like there's a difference. Let's rethink here. Yeah. Yeah. There's a difference there. 1000%. But I do consider it at a reward. i don't think that it's just another food. No, no. i Yeah, i I consider it like a ah reward, especially if you're out to eat. Like that is like, definitely don't always do do that. one Could you imagine if we went out to eat and we ordered dessert first? Okay.

Speaker: Have I done that? I may have. Honestly, i may have. Let me think back on this. just talking shit about myself at this point because i may have done that i'm a big sweets gal so i will always be a big you are too so we're we're big supporters of the sweet community yeah we we are a big sweet stans and this is this judgment that one specifically is about us we're we're judging we're but We're literally speaking to ourselves. Okay. On the food, like realm, sweet realm, buying a birthday cake, cake, instead of making one, does like making it homemade? Like when you, so when you go to a party you see that it's like homemade versus like store-bought, like what's the difference in your thought process there?

Speaker: Okay, this is going to be so controversial, I'm about to say. Oh, God. I'm going to trigger someone. I already know. This, to me, is kind of like when people brag about unmedicated births. Like, the ending and the outcome is the same.

Speaker: you don't get a cookie or a trophy because you did it unmedicated and I chose to do an epidural. Like, I don't know. like so And this is not everybody. Not everybody speaks of unmedicated births in that sense. Some people don't have the choice and they have to go unmedicated. Like, that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking more of the people that use it as a bragging talking point.

Speaker: So that's how i feel about a homemade birthday cake. Like, it's like a, are you bragging about it Because yeah Publix is just as freaking good, dude. Like, yeah honestly, Publix is top tier. no Freaking good doesn't even cover it. It's top tier.

Speaker: Okay. Has yeah never not been. I can't even compete. Like I would love sure. Like maybe try my hand at a homemade birthday cake. I have done that once. It was a disaster. yeah So Publix can have all of my dollars. I also don't have the time to like do the layers and let it cool and then do the icing and then do more layers. that many pans. Like what is happening? How are you?

Speaker: When did you make this? Did you make it like a month ago and freeze it? Yeah. So. you know And that freaks me out. I'm weird about food, but that freaks me out. If this is from a month ago, I don't want it. i don't want to buy it.

Speaker: You can actually keep it, and me and little Timmy are leaving your birthday party. We're actually going to go Publix and get a cake. Yeah. And we'll be back here with our singular sliced cakes from Publix. Singular. Fresh. It's so true.

Speaker: Yeah, fresh. It's so true, though, because at that point, it's like, are we competing like against other moms, against social media, against a bragging point? like What's the point here? Cake is cake. like If you have the time and dedication to do that, I'm with you. I don't. I don't. I was about to say, if you have the time the dedication that brings you joy, like and you're doing it solely because like that's something fun for you, incredible. But if you're doing because it feels like it's like you want to show it off, so to speak, yeah then I'm like, mm.

Speaker: Like maybe that's not, maybe you saw it on social and feel like you have to do it. It's like, that's not, and that's not the play. But if it's like, if you're good at this, if you're very creative and you are like, oh yeah, of course I'm going to make the cake. Good on you. Like literally good on you. That is just not me because you know what? If I made the cake, we wouldn't even know it was the child's birthday. I would just be telling everyone the whole time that I made the cake. 1000%. If I made it because that's how much labor and like blood, sweat, tears, not really blood, sweat, tears, but went into creation.

Speaker: One thousand percent. I do want to give a shout out though, because when I lived in Tampa alone, Annie did make me a birthday cake from scratch, a red velvet birthday cake from scratch. And it's it was absolutely incredible. And then I left it in her fridge and she was very upset about it. But it was very – I just honestly forgot her fridge. But it was literally – It was literally a great cake.

Speaker: But I need to put everybody in the mindset. This was pre-children, pre-marriages. Like we had the time. Yeah, had time. Yeah, but it was red velvet. was delicious. It was delicious. We want to give you your kudos where you deserve there as well.

Speaker: That's it for this episode. And that's it. We're going to end that. She's gotten two kudos and that's enough for her. i know it's amazing um Okay. Sticking to the food routine because this is also like something that, um,

Speaker: I feel like every mom kind of secretly judges, but we all do it. um And that's serving chicken nuggets for the third night in a row. Honestly, seven days in a row. Like, is it convenience or is it non-nutritional? Like, where's the where are we where are we sitting in that on the judgment zone?

Speaker: Um, I may be a little judgier than that one. Like if you're changing up the frozen items, go on with your bad self. I don't care if it's like chicken nuggets one night, potstickers. don't know why thought it's up potstickers, but like, whatever it is one night, like I'm all for it. But like, i like chicken nugget, chicken nugget, chicken nugget, chicken nugget. I'm like, Oh man, are you, are you, is there anything in that belly? Yeah, that is. Yeah.

Speaker: of value for for you yeah i will say the chicken dinos that we get do have vegetables hidden in them so i do feel some sort of type way with that um but if you've ever met avery fray shared food groups consists of three things peanut butter jellies chicken nuggets and pizza so we do we do alternate but there are nice this girl will eat it for like two to three and i'm like aren't you tired of that like that's nasty like yeah do you want something else or or she'll alternate she'll do the the um Costco Chick-fil-A dupe chicken nuggets. And then the next night she'll do her dino veggie nuggets. So like variety. Okay. It's a variety of chicken nuggets.

Speaker: The girl knows what she likes. But I'm, but I'm with you. Like and when people like sometimes talk about it I'm like, damn, like. Is that all they eat And then I'm like, wait, my kids literally only Eggo waffles in the morning. And they're good.

Speaker: So basically what we're saying with this episode is that we're hypocrites. But, you know, we're willing to admit it. and We're willing to accept the award. We're not just judgmental. We are extremely hypocritical.

Speaker: We are the problem. We know this. Okay. We know this. We just that's why we're here. We're here to express it. Okay. Hypocritical while we're drinking our like wine that we... It's just a nightmare. Truly a nightmare. Okay. How about...

Speaker: putting your kids to bed early because like you've had the day. This is more so for me, this is more so like a weekend. If we've been go, go, go, there's been like no falling asleep in the car. We don't really do naps anymore, but like no one fell asleep in the car and we're, it's like, we're doing dinner at six, 630.

Speaker: My kids are in bed. Like they go to bed at 730. My kids are in bed at least by like seven o'clock. If we're having like meltdown central, like if we're taking baths and we're melting down, We're done. We're in bed. I'm not bedtime is out the window. Yeah. gone Yeah. It's, it's, there's a fine line of a game you play with your kids at that point. And it's, yeah, it's,

Speaker: It's time now. Beckett won't nap anymore, really, but we do always have still like a rest time. So there's a time where you will go to your room and you can read a book, play silently. I don't care well what you do, but you're staying in there to relax. And so mama can debrief and reset. But I will say I may, this is going sound so horrible. I have never put my kids.

Speaker: I mean, not my God, i I'm already lying. I have put my kids to bed early. a liar. But I've also put my kids to bed early when I really want to make it on time to watch Dancing by the Stars.

Speaker: You want to be sat right at 7.58 Eastern so you can be ready. So does bedtime routine start at 7 o'clock those nights? Yes. However, my children have a way, you guys, of ensuring that that routine lasts 45 to 58 minutes. like It is a hidden talent, no matter how early.

Speaker: Yes. We've started doing intentions at night. So it's like your prayers and like who you're praying for and stuff like that. And you guys, we had to set a rule that like, you can't ask questions during someone else's intentions. Like who, what happened to them? Like I'm praying for somebody who's sick. We're like, where are they going? I'm praying for somebody going on a trip. And so we're like, okay.

Speaker: okay I would love to listen in on that. my You should. You should. I'm going work out. Maybe I'll record it. Can you do a voice? Yes. Can you do a voice note? Like a voice memo? Because it is it really is so cute and it's so sweet. And then it's like stuff that like Kennedy has heard from friends at school.

Speaker: school and she's like i'm praying for so and so and i'm like who the hell is that yeah like let's stick to the core group you know i love that you're praying for others you should but maybe put them in like the general prayer of for everyone then because that was back it when we would add like he would start a prayer you guys the list never ended the list never the prayer was an hour long Yes, we have to like, we have to, I mean, I want you to pray for everyone, but we've got to the prayer has to stop at some point. yeah Jesus can only hear. He's, he's trying. He's trying. He's working overtime.

Speaker: After your 50th person, he's, he's in overtime. He's charging. Yes. Yes. So, but we go round Robin with that. And when the questions get involved, I mean, it's long.

Speaker: We get a long bedtime sometimes. Yeah. I, I, it's a hidden talent, honestly. Like, I don't know, no matter how early you do try to strive, you're still not out of there until 30 to 45 minutes. Easy.

Speaker: Yeah. Easy. Um, and then the last one, we have a fun rapid fire at the end of this, but the last one that is, I truly can't drudge. but letting your kids have screen time marathon days because you need a day to do absolutely nothing and by days i mean like that day not like a whole weekend that you don't like socialize with your kids i'm talking about that day you're like you know what like we i will say like when we do this in our home it's probably because we've had a super busy weekend and that sunday we just need to chill like i need y'all to find three movies back to back and just chill

Speaker: Yep. That's a hundred percent. We're the same way. It's like either a super busy weekend or we had a super busy morning or something like that. And we'll, we'll do that. Or like when we come back from a trip, if we were out of town and say, we get in Saturday, Sunday is very chill. Or even if we get in like Sunday morning, Sunday afternoon, the rest of the day is like, okay, we got to run to the store, like get the groceries all together. But then you guys going to pop on your iPads and just like,

Speaker: the zen out on the ipad because my mama has to zen out i need you guys ton yeah we gotta we gotta to collectively all just like numb our brains for a second it's terrible on sounds it's true it's true and it's also like it's one of those things too like i swear like no matter how many toys they have in their playroom they have no interest in playing with them and the only ah yeah and the only thing that's gonna help is for them to have that TV time. So do what you got to Like that's not, that's one thing. Screen time.

Speaker: do not hate on screen time. i do not hate on it. There's no judgment. That's a zero out of a scale of one to five. That is a zero from judgmental vibes there because. yep ah do what you got to do, baby, to survive.

Speaker: And if you need that chill day for your children to be numb on a screen, they're happy as can be. Please. That's their dream. That is their dream. They're like, okay. sign us They're like, sign us up. How how much longer can we go?

Speaker: Exactly. Exactly. um Okay. This rapid fire, remind me, we're doing, we're rating it one through five huh of things that you would, you would judge someone if they did.

Speaker: Yeah, I think I don't know how to this is judge someone if they did not including us doing it. So we're strictly, truly. What do we do like a scale of one to five of like something that we would do?

Speaker: Oh, okay. one thing like the one We're judging ourselves. Yes. One, we wouldn't. Let's stop judging other people, maybe. um One, we we like, wouldn't do or, like, almost wouldn't do. And five, it's like, shit, yeah. so Oh, so five is yes, we would. Highly agree. Highly agree. free you know those You know those surveys. Highly agree. Neutral. Neutral.

Speaker: Okay. So is neutral three actually? Neutral three. Okay, let's go with neutral is three. Okay. Neutral three. So it's um highly disagree, somewhat disagree, neutral, somewhat agree, yeah highly agree. We are now entering a work survey, of everybody. Yes, yes.

Speaker: kind Where um your results are anonymous. But and not it really but are they really? honest And honestly, play along. Like as you're listening, what would you what would you give for yourself as well?

Speaker: Yeah. are you ready? Are we going to go back and forth? Yeah, let's go back and forth. So letting your kid wear the same outfit three days in a row. already forgot our numbers. Oh, and no, that zero does not count. Got it. Okay. um Three days pushing it for me. I'm going with a, I'm going with a solid one.

Speaker: Yeah. I'm saying a one as well. the Two is okay. Three is pushing. Yeah. No, no. Two is okay. Three is like, what are the three you nasty. Even if you're inside all day, like you're still like living in that outfit. Yeah. That's 72 hours. That's rapid fire. um Serving cereal for dinner because you just cannot be bothered.

Speaker: Five. Five. it's a Five. No question. No question. Using screen time so you can get chores done. 28.

Speaker: Five. That's a fiver, baby. Letting your child win every argument because you're exhausted.

Speaker: I'm going four because not every argument they should win. Honestly, borderline even neutral. I was about to say, I think I may go neutral because I don't give a shit. If you want to win the argument, I'm tired.

Speaker: If you want to say, oh last week you said that I could have a cure. Okay. Every time. You're right. Yeah. you're like and Now leave. Go back to your screen. I can guarantee you the argument they're having is you guys, it's not, it's not a big deal. So I'm staying neutral yeah on on, that one. Yeah. I'm, I'm, I'm with you. Um, I think it's, it's is it you?

Speaker: Yep. Skipping bath because they barely left the house.

Speaker: see but For how long? 24 hours? Oh, yeah. For one day? For just one day. Okay. For one day, I'll go i'll go four. I'll be... ah Barely left. Like, they were indoors the whole time.

Speaker: Yeah. No outside play. No outside play. Okay. I'll go for that's fine. Yeah. Put some trash in. I, I will go, probably go five with that one. Meaning not meaning that that if we don't leave the house, that's what we always do. I'm just saying like, if it comes to it, don't know how I wouldn't have the time if we were at home all day, but if it came to it, like go to bed, go switch your pajamas, switch your undies. Yeah.

Speaker: Go to bed. Fresh pair of underwear is a must though. Oh, fresh pair of underwear is a must. Yes. Like it but a must. Yes. Yeah. You've been having two D's in those all day. they Oh my God. Yeah, no, absolutely not. We don't know what has, what microbes have been festering in there for 24 hours.

Speaker: Absolutely. Okay. You know what? I'm going to switch to a five for that as well. Cause I, and as long as we can change the underwear, that can be a five. Okay. um Oh my gosh. Bribing your kid with candy to behave in public.

Speaker: 100. Here's a lollipop. I don't care. I would probably say five on that one as well. Yeah. Like I'm not above bribery. We have said that multiple times. Neither of us are. If we have to bribe, we're perfectly happy with that.

Speaker: okay Leaving a birthday party early because you've had enough.

Speaker: I'm going to go, just so I don't sound horrible in case people are listening that I've left a birthday party earlier, but I'm going to go three. I'm going to go neutral. I'm going to say probably, and this may, maybe people may be yeah, right. But I'd say one, because if your kid's having a good time and like, you're the one who's like, I've had like, this is but like, now if your kid is being a terrible, I'm thinking of the terror side of things. They're being a terror. Yeah, if your kid's being bad, but if your kid's having a great time and you just like, it's too much for you or it's like whatever, then like, as long as your kid's good and your kid's having a good time, there should be no issues with you leaving.

Speaker: Yeah, I would agree with that. i'm In my mind, I was thinking more of like, they're not listening. They're all over the place. They're screaming when they're not supposed to be like that. That's when I've had enough usually. Like normally I i could chill at a birthday party all day long. You're entertaining my kids. You're wearing them out by all means. Can I sleep over at this point? Yeah. um But yeah, no, I guess I would agree. i It's a one unless my child's being a demon then. Yes.

Speaker: We got to go. That's what's overstimulating me. You not listening is what's overstimulating me. Not these other parents. I could chat with them all day. Okay. Yeah. um Ooh, buying a toy to stop a tantrum in the store.

Speaker: You can ask all my kids and I have, I only have two. i don't know why said all my kids. That's going to be a one. Mama's not buying you shit.

Speaker: 100% like you're making it worse for yourself. i I almost want to say I get maybe a circumstance, but like when we said we're not above bribing, i will give you like, Hey, when we get home, we can do like, look at this or watch this or eat this candy, but I'm not going to, while you're throwing a tantrum, buy you something. Absolutely not. No judgment if you do, but on my book, specifically when it is a self induced tantrum, yeah meaning can I have this? And you say no. And so they throw a tantrum.

Speaker: And it's the tantrum because they want that specific item. Correct. No, we are not teaching anything good there. The only time. Okay. I do have to confess. Oh my gosh. Let me unburden myself from this. The only time I guess we did do this.

Speaker: And with good reason, you guys. So we took Avery for her birthday to Animal Kingdom. And i did not know you cannot have balloons in Animal Kingdom. oh and yes. And this was like, she turned two, y'all. Okay. It was her princess balloon. So when they took her balloon away, she was devastated. Like, yeah devastated. and me and Ben just looked at each other and we're like, my God, let's just get her a bubble. Like, we didn't know. we didn't know that balloons weren't allowed. had Had we known we would not have brought a balloon, we would have let her bring, like, a toy or something else. So I guess I did buy a toy to stop a tantrum, but it was her birthday and there was, it was different circumstances. Okay. I'll say, I feel like that's, a i feel like that's different and I would have absolutely done the same, yeah like a hundred percent. And we had that, we made that same mistake too with, um, with animal kingdom, but yeah, either way. yeah um so nice

Speaker: Oh, did I do? No. Letting your kids eat snacks in bed on movie night. That's like,

Speaker: that's like a three or four for me. I'm not sure because like sometimes my kids can be messy as hell and I do not want crumbs in the bed. But I also like that's like the the point of like a movie night movie night is to be like whether that's downstairs and eating on the couch or like yeah making a pallet and like that's one of where I'm aware you. Yeah. It's like the point of movie night. So as long as they're clean. Yes. I agree. And honestly, half the time i tried to pick a snack that's not going to be super crummy. So something they can literally just pick up a like goldfish. That is the perfect size for you to just pick up one and put in your mouth. Popcorn. Same thing. Now, that doesn't mean my children going spill it everywhere. OK, for sure.

Speaker: All over the place. But I'm with you. I'm going to go three, a three point five. OK, I'm adding a number three point five, mainly because that is truly the point. Don't do a movie night if you're yeah if you are concerned about that.

Speaker: You know? Yeah. okay um Okay. Pretending you didn't hear mom for five whole minutes. What a dream for five whole minutes, you guys. I don't think it lasts that long.

Speaker: No, mine's about 30 seconds until they're like in my face being like, hello. Yeah. um So, I mean, yeah. I would love to. or Sure. i i'm I'm going five because I would love to.

Speaker: A dream. Also, every time my my kids talk to me, and I love it so much. I know I would like i would never take this away, but every time my kids have something to say to me, it's it starts with mom. it's not like They don't say their statement. It's always like, mom, can we do this? Mom, I'm hungry. mom Everything is mom or like mommy. i so listen I hear mom.

Speaker: five fault Y'all have y'all your mom more and more than every five minutes? Like five minutes is a long time. um Mom, ah mom, mom, mom. A very long time. but Because like you said, like ah after the first mom, there's probably one one more mom and then they're in your face. Like, right now.

Speaker: So they're like, hey, I'm sorry you didn't hear me. I would actually love five minutes of them saying mom without coming up to me. Like, how do how do we opt in for that subscription? Because it doesn't happen in this household. It's so strictly coming straight to you. if Hey, did you not hear me? i like and I'm like, oh however my i thought you'd forget about it yeah like i thought you didn't need me anymore

Speaker: after he's like well i only called you once yeah these kids you guys i know they keep us young they do this wine sure does not though this wine i think ages me honestly it truly i stopped drinking it i stopped drinking okay i took that one step but i think that was enough for me to know what i needed to know I took a couple s sips and then the last one went down the wrong pipe and I thought I was going to die here on the podcast. So, um, I was the first one. It they didn't even like my body rejected it.

Speaker: We know what this is. We know what this is. And we know, again, we did it to ourselves. We are, we are taking accountability. We acknowledge, um, we went off vibes and we went with hope. Okay. Hope and faith that maybe,

Speaker: maybe this would be justice for Martha. And I'm sad to report it is indeed not justice for Martha. No justice was found here, but do you have your corking?

Speaker: I think I do. i would love to take one more step to solidify it, but I think just staring at it. you can't no No, no, no, Just, just staring at it alone. I think suffices the, yeah It's the same color as my shirt.

Speaker: it's It is. It's the same color. And to clarify, your shirt seems green. My shirt's green. My shirt is Grinch green. we i might The kids were calling me the Grinch this morning. love. Yes. loam So um i so you have your corking? Yeah, I think. You don't need to take another stick signify it? No, you're good. Great.

Speaker: Okay. I am giving this 2.7. two point seven Oh, that was very generous of you Mine's a 2.5.

Speaker: You guys, it's not good. We knew that. We were just like, um it was giving the Halloween vibes. We thought it'd cutesy and fun. we yeah um We literally went off vibes. Like I said, it's going to be the most beautiful floral arrangement when I'm when i'm done dumping it in the sink. um but where This is an episode full of being judgy, so it fits. It's fine.

Speaker: Yeah. Honestly, tracks. It tracks. Any final words? like Again, ah you guys, please take everything we say with a grain of salt. We're only saying these things because we're part of the problem, so we're allowed to say them, okay? We're not saying you're a horrible parent because you do A, B, C, and d because we're doing it, too. We're horrible parents, too. Yeah.

Speaker: Like, everything we said, it's like, okay, like, it's it's fine. We're fine. ever we're making it through we're surviving not thriving and that's what all of us are um doing i put this on to remind all of you i put my hat back on or my visor to remind you all that we will be doing chitty chats next week and i will fully divulge the um the new york trip and i also we need to talk about the newest like thing that they do like the tourist like trappy thing that they do in time square and i'm going leave you with that You don't take the Elmo or like the Mickey mouse or whatever. Is there something new? you

Speaker: This is the new thing. I'm ready. And it's very intriguing. So you guys will have to listen in to, we gotta, gotta just talk about it. Yeah. You guys are going to have to come back. Cause now even I'm intrigued and I know she's not going to tell me cause she's going want my, raw reaction yeah when we record. So with that, that's a wrap. That's our show. That is all the judgment tea we have for today. Thank you so much for listening. Don't forget to rate and review us on whatever platform you're listening on. As always, tell all your friends and keep on whining.

Speaker: Cheers.
