Speaker: Welcome to Wine Mama, a podcast for two bestie moms. Wine while they wine. I'm Jemina. And I'm Annie. Let's whine. And this is news to Jamina. It will be news to you all. But I'm going to say farewell to this podcast for a little bit because if you've ever heard of the show, The Biggest Loser, I'm signing up for it, you guys.
Speaker: Again, it may come as a shock. But my youngest told me the other day i was in I was helping her in the shower to wash her hair. And she goes, Mommy, you look like you're about to have a baby. You look like there's a baby in your belly. And I said, you know what?
Speaker: You know what? Thank you. Thank you. So I bid you all adieu. I'm going to be signing off and and finding my way to say it. Charlie.
Speaker: Yes. Yes. She goes, you look like you have a baby in your belly. I was like, huh? Mommy didn't hear you over the shower. Let me turn this off to make sure I can clarify exactly what you're saying.
Speaker: Yeah. So it's been real. It's been fun. I mean, it has been really fun until I had a slap in the face moment from my sweet angel of a four year old.
Speaker: Charlie girl. That's how things are going here. um um Honestly, though, do you think they would accept doubles? I would totally go. I don't know. I don't even think the show is still on, but I think, what was his name? There was Bob and there was, she started with a K. What was her name? julian Julian.
Speaker: Julian. Yes, Julian. Julian. Julian. Something Julian. Jillian. Jillian. Jillian. and Yes. they were They were, I mean, they worked it and I need them to work me because du i can't have that.
Speaker: Okay. The humility. It's... Okay, first of all, I know you're correct. I don't think this is on anymore, but there is a documentary that I would highly recommend. it is about the show. They're both on it, I believe, to like relive it. watch that would never That show would never fly nowadays. The way things happen.
Speaker: But also, it was kind of sad to see because like a lot of the contestants that were on there and they were being interviewed, like they had gained a lot of weight back. They were... Like even if they had won or been like second place. I'm like, man, you, you worked your ass off all that. And like, just to kind of gain, like, it kind of made me sad. Like I get that because trust me, like I fluctuate my weight all the time too. But like, I was like, wow, like it must've been like a reaction to how they felt mentally throughout the show. Like a coping mechanism, like just triggered back because yeah, was, i was, I was honestly shocked seeing some of the interviews.
Speaker: Yeah, I can imagine because you're right. It's like it's almost like a want to say like a fad diet. But I mean, being on like national television and being somewhere where you're forced to really like work at like that's you when you're going back into your day to day life. It's got to be hard for these people because they got to that point for some reason. So um but you no, it would never fly nowadays. I'm not making light of the biggest loser. I'm just making light of myself. Yeah.
Speaker: being I'm just trying to make myself feel better, you guys. Okay. Of course. Of course. Of course. Well, between you having to go on The Biggest Loser, I have to laser all of my body hair because apparently I have mustache and just hair everywhere. On my chest, on my arms, according to Avery. So yeah.
Speaker: Yeah, that's right. So they're really lifting us up is what you're saying. They are making us feel like the queens that we are. Yeah. Right. When you think you're feeling confident, you know,
Speaker: have kids Have kids, they said. It'll be fun, they said. They'll humble you real quick. Who's the they that said this because... Who started this? Who started saying that?
Speaker: Feeling quite humbled. Well, I mean, I guess I should have looked at the calorie count on this on this bottle bottle of wine before... it ain't a skinny wine, I don't think. It is not a skinny wine. So on that note, are we ready to wine with our wine of the week?
Speaker: I'm so ready. Actually, let's find out what, let's tell the, let's tell the public what the wine of the weekend is. And then I'll let you know how ready percentage wise I really am.
Speaker: So this week we are drinking Coastal Vibes Pinot Grigio. think you guys, if you've been listening to the past few episodes, you know that we have been, we've been really getting some some good wine. So I was at Publix and you said, I said, you know what, I'm going to crawl right here on this here floor and pick something off the bottom shelf. And sure enough, this was a two for 12 bottle this week at Publix or this past week, however you want to look at it at Publix. So, I mean, going to leave you with that.
Speaker: Yeah. Leave you with that. But not only was it a two for 12, it's also a Pinot Grigio, which if you're a true wine mama follower, you know that is probably not our top white choice.
Speaker: You know? Yeah. Yeah. It's not. It really is not. But you know what? We're in we're in to try to to try it right? To try it. Yes. let me Should I read the little excerpt we have, the blurb? Because I feel like I can read.
Speaker: that yes quite well um so coastal vibes wines lets your mind escape to golden sand beaches cool breezes and carefree moments i feel like i'm in the sandals ad you gotta everybody else is if you're not driving and jamina's gotta have her eyes open because she's reading if you're not driving just close your eyes yeah let me see if i can like asmr it okay these wines beautifully captured the essence of an oceanside getaway relaxing, blissful.
Speaker: My gosh, you guys, you hear the ocean breeze? Eagles in the air? I do. I actually do. Like I really do Oh my God, they're here. They're right outside.
Speaker: That's so funny. Yeah. um yeah I hope you guys all went there mentally. Yes. And that description and the bottle is really cute, right? They have a bunch of different varietals of wine and all of their labels are really cute. So as I was looking at this wine, I realized they are part of TWG, which is like the, the wine group.
Speaker: um So when prohibition was, I'm going to give you, I'm on their website because there was a lot of information. i'm like, you know, I'm just going to read kind of scan it and kind of cliff notes it for you guys. So when prohibition was, was repealed at American wineries, like Franzia.
Speaker: Yeah. Francia Brothers, Mogan David and Tribuno, they were starting to rebuild um and resume production.
Speaker: And then the wine group originated within the Coca-Cola bottling of New York during a period when U.S. consumer product companies are eager to enter the wine business. And that company acquired, so those three brands that i mentioned earlier, they acquired them. So the wine group kind of started with those three companies. One of those being our beloved Franzia. Let's see. It's actually really interesting. um TWG becomes the third largest U.S. wine company in 1993. Listen to this. Largely due to the expansion of winery operations and the wild success of Franzia, which becomes the number one U.S. wine brand in 1994. Okay.
Speaker: Wow. Number one. yeah I'm sorry. Did you say my girlfriend's? Franzy. Yes. Franzy, Franzy. Crazy, right? Crazy.
Speaker: So then in the two thousands, they launched a series of new wine brands. So think cupcake, Chloe, um, flip flop, all these brands that you're like, Oh, I had no idea they were a part, or maybe you did part of this overarching, um, the wine group TWG. So seven deadly. So, you know, seven deadly Zins is a part of it. Um,
Speaker: There's Ava Grace, which we've heard of, and then Behringer. So that is kind of all a part of the wine group. They own over 6,000 vineyard acres throughout California.
Speaker: So this is a massive, massive group that owns a lot of brands that you would never know. in this Coastal Vibes comes straight from there. I'm not, I'm not, I'm not excited.
Speaker: i didn't I did not sell her. Well, maybe the taste, what we'll be tasting, maybe if you want to read that, maybe that'll kind of... let's Yeah, let's yeah see what's going on there because I'm not going to lie. Beringer?
Speaker: I know, I know. It's giving red flag, okay? It's giving a red flag. I'm going to remain hopeful though, okay? um But this Pinot Grigio... is an affordable, and when we say affordable, 6 for 12 at Publix at this time, um light-bodied wine featuring crisp tasting notes of peach, lemon, lime, and honeysuckle.
Speaker: That combo sounds amazing. It does. However, is that combo being fermented with the grapes in the correct way? We're about to find out. I'm afraid we're going to be getting a lot of that lemon live, like,
Speaker: But yeah, the price is six to $11 typically. So listen, affordability, baby. Are we ready to yeah try it?
Speaker: I didn't pour as much as I normally would because I was afraid. Also, I'm glad you poured, not poured, but are showing your glass as you do, you know? um It's so clear.
Speaker: Yes. It's so clear to me when I was pouring it, I noticed I was like, this is quite a clear, this is a very hydrated bottle. It says light bodied wine. So we're going to see, we're just going to see.
Speaker: Let's just see. will You never, you never know, you know, you never know. Cheers. Nope. Oh, cheers
Speaker: oh
Speaker: ah Sorry. um Yeah. I currently have nothing nice to say. So I'm just, you know, my mom always taught me to not say anything at all.
Speaker: So I'm going to let this progress with a couple more sips throughout. I didn't even give it a second sip. You know, I always give it a second sip for a reassurance. it It does not need that us at this time.
Speaker: No, I did do the second sip. I gave it that, um, that moment of maybe possible redemption. I'm not a big fan though. Um, but we were, you you listen, sometimes i like what sometimes when you're crawling on the, crawling on the floor, looking for that bottom shelf line, it doesn't always pan out. Yeah.
Speaker: It doesn't, but we're going sip on it as we always do. We will give it the chance that it deserves for this fun episode that we have in store. Tell tell our listeners a little bit more. We teased that at the beginning of the season.
Speaker: We did. We did tease at it. And this is one of the, this was one of those moments that Annie, i don't know if she texted me or called me, but I'm sure you guys are all very familiar with the, um, the trending, um, sound, I guess i it's called the trending sound. That's like something has come across my desk. Yeah.
Speaker: You know? If you have so if you have five minutes. If you have a second. I love to discuss with you. Annie had one of those moments and this was one of them. And I'm like, you know what? That's actually genius because I feel like I'm constantly doing this just in like our internal group specifically on prime days. But like. in our internal like group when I see things that I was like this is genius we need to start doing this as an entire podcast episode um because I'm sure there's other people are also interested so anyways not the major tease alert before I actually what it is not the build-up oh my god Building everyone up. Is everyone ready now? So anyways, Annie suggested do an episode about our current favorite things. So we have done in the past about our favorite mom items for like the hospital bag or newborn stage or whatever. But this is like current live time, we're using now. And it's not, does not have to be motherhood related. can be anything that we think is just,
Speaker: literally the coolest thing that we are obsessed with and we want to share with all of you. Yeah. Yeah. And I think it's going be really fun. So, and it doesn't have to be a thing. I can be, um, maybe a place you've recently discovered, maybe a trend you're seeing right now. So maybe you're when the, I don't know what's, I'm trying to think of like fashion trends that are like coming up to whatever in the fall. The scarf.
Speaker: Yes, the scarf. Like, it could be anything like that. When low-rise jeans came back, I mean, you're not going to find us. It'd be in our favorite things. but Not the gauchos. Let's not bring that back. Oh, my God. Don't bring up the gauchos.
Speaker: One step closer to God. and I don't need it, though. She don't need it. My man knows. My man knows. I don't need the gauchos. She don't need it, y'all. I don't need it. If you guys don't know what we're talking about, that's an episode last season. We got the we got so tickled talking about gauchos. And by we, Annie did, i was just laughing the whole time. So I need you, ah I need you guys to all go back to listen because that was my, one of my favorite moments of the last season.
Speaker: Just wanted to preface funny. So funny. So anywho, this will start being a standing episode every season. if we get more, like, you know, if we get additional feedback on it and we want to do it twice a season, great. But right now it's going to be a fun episode um every season. So Do you want to kick it off? you want me to kick it off? How do you want to do it? I mean, i it doesn't matter. mean, I'm happy to. Okay. Okay. So the first thing that I'm currently obsessed with, and I'm also kind of trialing. So I bought this, gosh, embarrassingly enough to say, I think I bought this maybe six months to a year ago and never opened it out of the box. Okay.
Speaker: So I finally decided to open it and I am obsessed. I wish I would have started this sooner. But anyways, it's the Blue Mean. it's It's called the Blue Mean product, I guess. I don't even know if I'm pronouncing that correctly. But what it is, it's like this.
Speaker: i can I mean, I have it in my bathroom, but... It's kind of like a gua sha, I guess I could okay okay explain it that way. But it's an actual tool that not only comes with different color red lights. So it's a red light, a green light, and a blue light. It also vibrates when you do it.
Speaker: So the vibration helps with what's my favorite thing ever. What's the thing the vibration plate does? Lymphatic drainage. Lymphatic drainage for your face.
Speaker: But So I'm going to read like from the website so you guys can kind of like get the hints of what it is. we're getting so Can you pause? Can you spell out? I think you have it here, but spell out for everybody how it's blooming. So it's B-L-U-M-E-N-E.
Speaker: There you go Is what it's called. I have the Blooming Pro 2.0, I think is the one that I have. But essentially, so what it says on here, I'm going to read it just so it can kind of like hit a little better than what I'm describing. It's an at-home facial tool designed to tighten the look of sagging skin, reduce puffiness and smooth the appearance of fine lines. So basically what you do is you cleanse your, your face. Of course you can do your toner. And then when you put your serum serum or like um moisturizer, that's what get helps with the gliding kind of like a Gua Sha. It helps with the gliding and you can select the color. So each color does something different. So hold on, let me see if I can, figure out what each color does because it's so interesting to me. Okay. So there's three lights. So the first light is the red light and they call it the age reverser. So the red light is the one that's kind of like a red light therapy. It's stimulating collagen production, reducing the appearance of fine lines, or you can try the green light, which is the jawline snatcher. oh yes. So this decreases face puffiness and helps with the lymphatic drainage while toning and defining your jawline.
Speaker: And then there's the blue, which is the smoother. So that is more of like combating acne and breakouts. It clears, helps clears blackheads, strength spores. But you guys, the way that this thing went, because you can do it without the vibration. i hold it. So you, and you don't have to press anything, just like your thumb, like it, knowing that the pressure of your thumb is there. like doing it.
Speaker: One thing with it though, which is probably why i didn't open it Cause I think I just got my, my Botox at the time is they don't recommend you doing it until like six weeks post Botox or further out because of course it's like, you know, you're manipulating your face. Um, and it also says, do not go over your throat and thyroid area. Cause again, it's a red light, you know, things like that, vibrating, You can go to the side. So I do do like the side and like my jawline.
Speaker: I have a photo. Actually, i took a video because I couldn't – the first time I did it I could not believe my face. Really? And only did half. You guys, when you – You're going to have to share. You're going to have share this. I will have to share. i will share because instantly the way that I saw – and it's very minimal, but it's very evident. The way it took away my puffiness and drained my face because you it does recommend to use it for three minutes per side – Oh, wow.
Speaker: it's it's a commitment okay that's why probably ive never opened it either but i've committed to giving it a full month trial of this and you only have to do it three times a week so i dedicated monday wednesday fridays to it um i'm obsessed and then of course right after that which is a combo to this which is another of my favorite things is my shark cryo glow mask. I got it for my birthday. It was the most unexpected birthday gift from Ben because we don't do gifts at all. Like we just do experiences and I am obsessed. So on top of doing that, I also do the cryo. So that's my next favorite thing. I would highly recommend investing. I did a lot of research and all these different masks. There's the OmniLoo. There's one that starts with an R.
Speaker: Long story short, i ended up going with the Shark. One, because I have Shark products and I... Love every single shark product that I've had yeah um compared to nothing against Dyson, but I have had a lot of people who have told me that their Dyson dies very fairly quick, like right after the warranty. So they can't get a replacement or anything like that.
Speaker: I've never had any issues with any of my shark products. I have the vacuum. I have a handheld vacuum. I have um now the shark cryo glow. Like I'm obsessed with shark. Like I really think it's such a great company. yeah But the main thing that sold me on this mask is the fact that it has an under eye cooling. ah And it's the best. Annie has one too. And it's the best feeling, like just having that under your eyes. And oh my God, it little like you don't have to turn it on. It's constantly cold. But when you turn it on and you pump it up to level three. Oh, level three always.
Speaker: There is not a puffy under eye in sight. Okay. Let me just tell you. Like there is not – there's nothing in sight when you just like – something so refreshing about it. And that one also has like different modes, right? It has like better aging mode. It has like the acne clearing mode. um And there's more – Like sustain. Like sustain. Sustain. Sustain. Yeah. Yeah. Which – I will say like the week before, you know, Mother Nature visits, I use the acne one because, you know, your hormones are strong. And it right has, again, those that combo right now of using the Blooming and the Shark Cryo Glow are just like –
Speaker: chef's kiss. And yes, is it time consuming? Yes. But like, I want to give it the full trial. Like I want to see that blooming truly does do what Gua Sha does, you know, like in its shape, like one, like, so you can,
Speaker: Like I laid it here in my forehead. It's wonderful. 10 out of 10. Anyways, I have blabbed on enough about my top favorite thing so far. She's big fan. You guys check it out. You guys check it out.
Speaker: Check it out. These are not... By the way, these we're just sharing our favorite things. None of this is like... sponsored or we don't have like a paid link or anything like that. This is literally sharing knowledge with the Commonwealth. It's always called the Commonwealth, the people.
Speaker: don't know. I don't have Commonwealth. I've been in jury duty so long that I'm just like all my terminology – No, that jury duty really got us really got us all hard. Well, I will pop in next with something that's also face skin related. yeah So it's the Primally Pure Antioxidant Balm. So I actually got this at our favorite things party as someone else's favorite thing.
Speaker: They brought it. I chose it because they The main seller was like it. ah It's kind of like a replacement for Botox or it's like kind of like Earth's or the organic Botox, whatever you want to call it. But it's ah it's beef tallow um is the main ingredient. And it's like wildly has so much more vitamin C than your typical like vitamin C serum. I have noticed a very, very big difference. I just got my next um little container of it and I got the bigger size this time because it was less expensive to get bigger.
Speaker: So I got the bigger size. It's not, I mean, it's not cheap, but it's not expensive. If you look at how big it is and how long it took me to use up the other one, I'm like, I will gladly, gladly pay that.
Speaker: The smell is lovely. You feel it your smell. It smells like you're at like a spa. You know that spa, like yeah clean smell. ah That's what it smells like. Almost like a sagey minty like.
Speaker: percy So good. And I feel like that plus the moisturizer that I use, it's another brand. um I feel like those have been game changers for my skin and I use it every single night, every single night. That's the last thing I put on my face is this, um, Primally Pure antioxidant balms. They have a bunch of other products as well, but I think this one kind of make, made them really stand out and you can only get it on their website. As far as I've found, i couldn't find it on Amazon. It's not on like a s Sephora or an Ulta. So you have to get it on their website.
Speaker: Oh, that kind of stinks. That was going to be my question because I'm like, oh, I kind of want to try it. So it's not a moisturizer because you're saying you're putting a moisturizer on top of this or is this your final step? Sorry, that's my final step. My, i should have clarified my moisturizer that I use in the morning. i feel like these two things have really, like if I had to pick two things from like one thing for my morning routine and one thing for my night routine to suggest to someone, it'd be my moisturizer. I'll save that for another, another day.
Speaker: Um, and then meaning I'll save that as a perfect thing or a favorite thing for another day. um And then this as my nighttime, like number one that I would recommend is the Primally Pure Antioxidant Balm. Yeah, it's so good.
Speaker: Adds to cart. Add to cart. Next time I come over, I'll bring it and you can, um, you can try it, but big fan. No, I'm miming with that. I love, and beef tello apparently is's just like so good for your skin in general. It's like the whole new, like it's, it's the new, uh, Windex, right? Put Windex on it, put beef tello on it. Like, yeah, so and the best and it lasts forever, lasts forever.
Speaker: Yeah. Well, was going to say like that favorite things party was like January timeframe. So like January to now that's nine months almost like, yeah, that's impressive for it to last that long. And it was the smaller size you said. It was the smaller one. Yeah. It was a smaller size. And I'm also like, I wanted to like save it. So I use like, I made sure not to like go like crazy on my skin with the amount that I was using. Cause I was like, I want this to last forever. um so, so yeah, I would say it lasts probably like eight months, seven, eight months for me. Yeah.
Speaker: Love that. I'm down. Well, my next favorite thing, I'm completely switching gears here. i see it and I love it. I love it.
Speaker: um You guys, I have been obsessed and I know I'm probably late to the game because, you know, you have seen like. All these influencers probably like advertised for this, but like, and i was just like, man, whatever. It's just another, i am obsessed with the brand Drizzylicious as a sweet treat.
Speaker: I am one of those people that has to have a late night sweet treat. And if that's the case, like I have to find a way to make it semi sorta healthy and specifically the strawberry cover, the chocolate covered strawberry Drizzy Licious.
Speaker: You guys it's dangerously. so good so good it's so good but like okay let me see if i can look it up really quick because it actually is me i thought it was just like a rice cake but it's actually made with like i believe like chia seeds like they actually have oh okay my gosh okay feeling better about myself because we love it in this house we get the costco like mixed mixed bag one and it's the best oh yes oh i didn't know they had See, i haven't tried i tried. this one and I tried. There was another one that I tried, but nothing beat.
Speaker: Nothing beat this one, the strawberry. So um I will say I'm not the happiest that cane sugar is like the second ingredient. I wish that was a lower in the totem pill, but I get it. um But it has quinoa.
Speaker: Quinoa? quinoa, quinoa, don't come for me, chia seeds, flax seeds, like red beet. So it does have red beet powder, which I love because I am very much anti dyes. If I can yeah call me crunchy. I know, i know. Um, but it's, um, dehydrated strawberries. Like it's not avocado oil. um I mean,
Speaker: i can I can pronounce and read every. like yeah And a serving size is 28 pieces. That's a lot. Honestly, that's a lot. I'm not going lie. Now, do I eat one bag in two days? Yes. So that's probably two servings. I mean, it says about four servings per container. So I'm looking at about 240 calories for a dessert. and I'm not eating that.
Speaker: Get the little snack size bags from Costco. i would go do Girl, you think I'm going to open more than one? Please. It is, it's a, it's a slippery slope. So when we we first heard about it, I, this was a, this was a while ago. I feel like Aubrey was like, can you get me this? I was like, I have no idea what that is.
Speaker: yeah Obviously she saw about it somewhere. I'm in Costco hunting for this Drizzlicious combo pack of like three different flavors. I ended up finding it on an end cap, put it in the cart and I get down like another section and someone was like, where did you find the Drizzlicious? I was like, oh, this is, this is a thing. Got it. Okay.
Speaker: People are out and hunting for this. So, oh yeah, it's in our it's constantly in our house. either So what are the flavors that you have and which is your fave? I must know now. I need sample more. is birthday cake.
Speaker: Okay. oatmeal cookie like a salted caramel flavor bag let me see if i can find them okay right i'm not gonna lie i'm not a big birthday cake flavor girl i think maybe that's why i i haven't gotten that one they have the three at target here let me see it is yes okay cinnamon swirl bites that would it is that's what it is that's my favorite the cinnamon swirl bites okay i was like oatmeal cookie no that doesn't sound right Birthday cake bites and s'mores bites. And they're all really good. But the cinnamon swirl bites, bury me in those. Like, don't put dirt over my casket. Put those.
Speaker: So the Annie always says that you guys, by the time this podcast like is ever over, I'm going to go back and see all the things we have to bury Annie in because she literally has requested so many items at this point. i know what a butners It's actually people going to be like, why are you so like, I don't know what the word is like death, whatever, but anywho. Oh, they have a Halloween pack with cookies and cream. Birthday cake s'mores. Yeah.
Speaker: Mm hmm. so See, I'm not a s'mores gal because I don't really like marshmallow stuff. And i i birthday cake is not my first flavor I go to. So that's i'm like, oh, I wonder. But that cinnamon swirl, though. Oh, the cinnamon swirl. Pumpkin spice bites. That's up my alley, baby.
Speaker: Yes. I can't remember what the other flavor I tried was. French toast. Oh, cookies and cream. Cookies and cream was the other one I tried, which was good as well. But it just did not beat the chocolate covered strawberries.
Speaker: just you guys yes strawberry yes chawberry strawberry chocolatey bites oh okay gotta try i'm honestly probably gonna get it after this stop like i'm probably i know i have a fresh bag i don't know now i'm dying now i'm dying for some drizzleicious okay let's hop over to my next favorite thing and this is which i'm i and i just want to pause before you say what it is because if it's the second thing on your list what the hell is this You're going to want to get it.
Speaker: You're going to want to get it. So going tell you the backstory of this item and why I ended up getting one. I didn't want to put too much detail on here. I i want to keep you like guessing. im like, what yeah this? So I wrote, I just wrote disco ball on here. So we had like a little mini, like kind of like think of like something that would fit like a, maybe ah a little bit smaller than a baseball size. We had a disco ball in the car. Just, it was with decorations, whatever the girls were playing with it. And they brought it in the car one day on the way to school.
Speaker: And so they realized when the sunlight hit it, it would cast like glitter or whatever, like shininess on the roof. So on the way to school, we would, whoever was close, like the sun was out their window, they would shine it and we'd get disco ball like on the roof.
Speaker: And then we would have a dance party. So I, we have Sirius XM. So I turn on BPM and we crank it up. So we're heading to school with disco balls on the roof and listening to BP. And you guys, they are like fist, like they are,
Speaker: jamming in the back seat so we had a cloudy day one day and no disco ball because it's cloudy no so i was like screw this so i went amazon and i wrote i i googled like or searched car disco ball 7.99 baby there has never been a quicker add to cart for me so i took i actually took a picture tonight because on the way home from dance they were like let's have a dance party and so i was like okay this is sideways but this is it Oh, my God. My children would love.
Speaker: Send me the link immediately. Incredible. Greg was like, are you guys in the cash cab? I was like, it literally looks like the cash cab from New York. But it's so easy. um It's literally like this big. I just set it on the middle console. I turn it on. There's one setting. There's the buttons on and off. That's it. And you can charge it. It's not batteries. You charge it.
Speaker: And we literally put that we were running late this morning. I was like, you guys, we're not gonna be able to have a dance party if we're running late. Like we're going to lose that privilege because we've now we had enough time to get out the door.
Speaker: And I put it on the middle console. They say, stop. Yeah. Turn off the music. And then I think that one of the first, the one, the first or second day that we did it, um,
Speaker: We were pulling into school and I was like, Kennedy, we have we have to turn this down a little bit turning because they'll turn them. They'll put the windows down. They are vibing high, you guys. And Kennedy was like, he's like, what'd she say? like Yeah, this is how the this is how the piles show up or something like that. i was like, I'm. I was like, get out of here. But yet it has now become like a bargaining chip for me. So like tonight when I put them to bed, they always want to come down and be like, I forgot to kiss of course the cat goodnight. I forgot to tell you about how much I love my stuffy.
Speaker: You know, so I told them before I left, I was like, if you guys come out of the room tonight, we won't be able to do our dance party in the car. Sure enough. You think I saw any kids come out of the room tonight?
Speaker: nobody's silence Nobody. Nobody. Oh, I'm going to need a link. specific Okay, so we have a disco ball that ben had ben Beckett had gotten as a prize from one of those like fundraiser things at school. yeah But that it's USB, so I have to like plug it in. um and like you know so we use it in the bathroom, so they have like shower disco parties. We use it like anywhere. But this the fact that it's just like a portable and I can do it in the car, yep It's just like a flat, like half of a, half of a little ball flat. You just sit it on your like middle console.
Speaker: And then 799 adds a car. I was like, I have never purchased something so quick. And you guys, they're not in it. You can get any child out of like a, maybe they didn't sleep enough. Maybe this, maybe that every single child getting in that car, you're like okay, you back out of the driveway. You guys ready for the dance party? Yeah.
Speaker: And if they're not vibing with the song, we change the station and we go to another dance party station and we find more dance tunes. Yes. Oh, my gosh. I that. Flying and high. Flying high to school. Yeah.
Speaker: Love that. I love that. kidding say This is how we show up. This is how we show up. And and and then like two days ago, i gave charlie Charlie one to hold it because Kenny gets dropped off first. They're not allowed to hold it.
Speaker: It is one. No one. We're not taking turns. Nobody holds it. I'm not starting fights over the dance party disco ball. So I let Charlie hold it because we had already dropped Kennedy off. And I had turned the music down, obviously, because we were dropping Kennedy at school. And we're headed. We were like couple minutes after pulling out of Kennedy school.
Speaker: And Charlie goes, turn this up. This is a dance party. I was like, ma'am. So it is like it has now become a culture in our car of like disco music. Oh my gosh. Yeah. I'm, I'm obsessed. I mean, we have dance parties on the reg, but like this would really elevate. You have to surprise them. You have to surprise them with it. because that was nothing else. I have a surprise for you in the car. Yes. I have a surprise for you in the car. i have a surprise for you. And then you just, you turn on some music and you turn on. It's like,
Speaker: bam, wham, thank you, ma'am. Let's do this. You are the winner. I will. I'll try to remember to video it so I can like be like, please yeah here's the link to Annie's disco ball. Yes. there's Here's the link. So, anywho, that's my favorite thing because it is love it. it's Yeah, it's our new favorite thing in the car.
Speaker: I love that. That's wonderful. i think that that this is almost ah almost as good as a tip as the one that um it's the storybook stories, the Disney stories on...
Speaker: Yes. Pandora or Spotify. So love those. Love that. um Okay. So my final favorite thing at this moment is we call it our favorite and challenge of the day. So, you know, like after a trip, which we've talked about, we love to do our highs and lows of the trip. So lately at dinnertime,
Speaker: We have to, we have turned this into like a daily thing. So we ask the kids, what's your favorite part of the day? And they'll tell us whatever their favorite part of the day is. um Beckett's is legit. Avery's usually made up. She'll be like, I went to SeaWorld. And I'm like, girl, you went to school. But sure.
Speaker: You know what? Same, same. that's your That's your favorite thing? We're going to leave it there. um And then we ask them what the their challenge of the day was. So not like their worst part of the day, but what was what was something today that was challenging for you or like challenged you and you want to be better at or maybe, you know, like something that you – didn't like happen today so you felt it was a challenge that you had to like deal with that so it's just we sorry and so and now sometimes becca would just do it on and say hey what's your favorite part of the day today like even at bedtime he'll be like what's everyone's favorite part of the day and i'm like oh love that so yeah so we have a favorite part of our day and our challenge like our challenge and it can be something dumb like i couldn't find my socks this morning that was my challenge of the day or you know things like that again everyone's just legitimate until we get to avery and then avery's like
Speaker: She's just she's not quite understanding yet, which I get it. She is three. um But still, I'm like, no, something that really happened. She's like, oh, I love dolphins. I'm like, OK, we're just and Becca gets frustrated. I'm like, no, no, he's i mean you're challenging part this is the challenging part of the day for you, Becca, is Avery's not understanding the game.
Speaker: Yeah. But yeah, but that's just something simple. Yeah. It's just something simple to incorporate like in your dinner routine because I'm trying to be better about all of us sitting at the dinner table together at the same time, not them eating their dinner and me finishing up dinner, like like cooking dinner. Yeah.
Speaker: So that's why like during that time is when we do this so we can like talk and figure out because you know you know how kids are. They don't talk or say anything until it's bedtime. Mm-hmm.
Speaker: They got lots to say. I forgot to tell you. ah You can tell me tomorrow. At this point, the timer has run. Yeah. I'm done. Mommy's ears have turned off now. I'm now deaf. yeah You're going to have to wait until they turn back on. Yeah.
Speaker: Which 7 a.m. m tomorrow morning. Bye. Yeah. Literally. 6.15 sometimes for you guys. But you know what I mean. that's Anyways, yeah, so that's that's my final little favorite thing at the moment. So maybe it's something everybody else can incorporate.
Speaker: Yes, bring it into your day-to-day. So my last favorite thing is just like a a movement or a moment that's happening. And it's with all of these book talk, like popular books that are becoming movies and series.
Speaker: So we've seen it before. I'm not going to say this is like new, new, but... I feel like it's becoming like one after another and it's, it's, um it's, speak it's stuff that's like popular right now and happening right now. Like I, I know that there's a lot of movies and shows based off books, you guys, but I feel like it's become more with like the times of what is coming out. So you think of,
Speaker: Like Heated Rivalry, the off-campus series, the fourth wing series that's coming out. um Oh my gosh, I could name like a million more. I'm trying to think that. Verity, all the books. All the Colleen Hoover stuff. I mean, Colleen Hoover was like boom, boom, boom, boom. And it's stuff that's like so in the moment. And so I just love seeing it. And I love seeing the fandom behind it and people being introduced to these like shows and movies that – didn't have didn't maybe didn't read the books but they're being introduced to it in another way so just i'm a big like book lover so i love seeing on social media it's like such and such is being adapted for tv and i'm like that's incredible that's amazing and some of the stuff is like spicy stuff and i'm like who's picking who's picking that one up so um i just i made it our baby read it listen if it yeah listen if it's rated r it's for me sign me up so um
Speaker: So I just love seeing it. I mean, Rebecca Yaros, who is the author of the fourth wing series, they were doing like a whole, um she started doing stuff at like hockey games.
Speaker: And because she's a huge hockey fan, I think her son plays somewhere. But she started doing like fourth wing like um nights at the, different like hockey arenas. And I'm like, that's so, that's such a cool way to get people involved. Right. So i just love this whole new, like wave of yeah stuff that's happening with all these, these books and these authors and all that. Yeah. yeah That's my favorite. and I know, but I feel like it also is such a good thing too. Cause I think it encourages people to read cause I'm going to give shadow. I know I've mentioned this before, but Ben's recently become a reader with his Carl dungeon crawler.
Speaker: I know. And I saw those all – I was at Target the other day looking for one more coffee table book for like fall vibes. And I was in that section and I saw them all – every single one up there. I was like, dang.
Speaker: right Yeah. but I think Ben is starting the fifth book now. Like that's how quickly – y'all, Ben doesn't read. So like the fact that he has – they are massive. They're huge. Yeah. And he's starting the fifth book. And this is also being adapted into a series. And Orlando Soccer – Orlando City Soccer just had an entire game dedicated. Like they had merch. They had everything changed into like Carl Dungeon. So Ben was so jealous because he missed it and he saw the merch. He was like, I've literally been reading these books and I missed. And that's like down the street. Down the street from guys.
Speaker: Yeah, down the street from us. So yeah. So like it is pretty cool to see that. And it seems like it's encouraging people to read more, which is great. Like, right. That's I mean, that's what I'm trying to kind of show Beckett right now because we're reading Harry Potter and I'm not letting him see the movie yet I'm making him read each book first and by him I mean I read it with him right and um because that's a little advanced for a second grader maybe I don't know is it I don't know um anyways so like I just want him to get excited because now he knows the story so you can kind of like expect right what to see in the movie but yeah I love that I think that's a great favorite thing
Speaker: Yeah. Yeah. and Like you said, it's not new, but I do think it's popping up like quicker, i guess. Yes. Faster developing. Right. A hundred percent. I feel like you're just, I'm just seeing more like I just keep seeing stuff on social media. It's like such and such as being adapted, such and such as being adapted. I'm like, Holy crap. Like, let me catch up. So, yeah. So it's been, it's been great. But what I won't be doing is sitting down with this glass of wine when any of these shows or movies come out and enjoy, maybe as a sangria, but I don't even, I can't even, I can't even justify thing. dabble in a sandwich. We made a really good red red wine sangria with that one. I forget what it was. Oh, we won't mention that here.
Speaker: We won't. We won't mention it here. I know exactly. We've got listeners. We've got a zip to list you guys warning that it was. Send us a if you want to know.
Speaker: Send us a DM. i It isn't mentioned here. um Anywho, could probably dabble. I'd like to try a white wine sangria. Maybe there's some peaches. Mangos. Lots of them.
Speaker: Lots of them. So how are you feeling? Are you ready to cork? Oh yeah. I feel like I knew after the first sip.
Speaker: I've tried two further sips after that. I've just been i've just been s sipping, having a good time. Just, yeah. I mean, I've tried two. That was my, my third sip right there. It's just, it's kind of harsh going down. It's not just like the taste, right? Like it's like a little scratchy.
Speaker: little scratchy think that's a great description actually think like scratches the esophagus it burns yeah so um I think that I'm I'm ready think our ratings are going to be a little bit different but possibly mean I don't think it's a mean rating think it's fair think it's fair for how I'm feeling it's It's not like a one or a two, you guys. I'm not i'm not that mean.
Speaker: It's 3.1. It's 2.999999. Okay. Let's let's hear it What are you giving what are you giving this coastal vibes pinegg grigggio coastal vis just because you know the storyline is very interesting The bottle is cute. Now, keep in mind what how I'm reading this. Okay. Bottle's cute.
Speaker: It's all surface level here. Okay. um It's all about the looks and the connections it has. Correct. Correct. um it's a It's a sister to Franz, you know? You can't.
Speaker: How do you how do you go wrong from the first the first box wine you've ever had? but I think you went into this thinking about Franzia and you were like, oh my God. I did. i think that may have tainted itself. So I do take that in consideration um in my corking, but I'm giving it a 3.7. So I feel like it's not – I don't think it's that mean.
Speaker: the lowest wine no we all know martha was the lowest but that i think but that's pretty 3.7 is you know i verge i teeter-tottered on a four like an even crisp four yeah yeah but i just don't think i would purchase this again so that's why like so you know what i'll settle for a 3.8 i'll give her i'll give her a 0.1 courtesy but courtesy but But that's it. That's it. That's as much as I think I can budge. Like, I just don't, I would never buy this. I wouldn't buy it as a gift. I don't think I'd buy it again. Even if it's six for two for 12.
Speaker: Yeah. um I just, ah it's, it's a headache waiting. It's a headache waiting to happen. I even, I think even with just like a glass like this, I'm like, I'm worried. need drink some water because we're going to see, but I actually am giving this a 4.7. Yeah. um i know i know i know well because i really feel like the peach coming through here and i don't mind that part but i just i wouldn't buy like when it comes down to it i wouldn't buy it again and we always say anything five or above i think five or above yeah would at least try again and this i'm like yeah girly i can't
Speaker: can't so this is a 4.7 for me so that's why i was i think we're gonna be pretty far apart because i knew you were just like i was struggling to sit down there you were down there you had maybe three glass three sips the whole episode yeah and that's not me i mean have you guys been a part of this series at all like this any season i'm not have a good time yeah normally i'm not just a three sipper and also like it's like Pinot Grigio, which is also not my favorite. So like that could also be tainting my taste buds right now. um
Speaker: i would be interested in how you find a recipe for a white sangria for this though, because that may steer me into the force. You know, I will let you know, because it is it's not, I think peach season is ending, but there's a lot of peaches out for purchase right now. I actually just made a really good cheat, like a dip for an appetizer that had peaches on top and it was fan favorite. Everybody liked it. And so we have a cold peaches left and I'm like, maybe i will put that into here and see what happens.
Speaker: Yeah. Make a smoothie. Yeah. Oh, I was like, yeah, no. Could you imagine? I'll come on to the next but and next favorite things episode. It's like, well, you guys.
Speaker: I tried it. because Coastal Vibes smoothie is my new favorite. It's it's my daily protein shake. Yeah. Well, anyways, um this has been fun, though. I have enjoyed learning about active and current favorite things and not just like reminiscing on past favorite things we have used you know like it's kind of nice to be like in real time discussing things that we're currently using and loving and hopefully inspiring others to try i mean you've inspired me i'm getting i'm ordering a primalane pure tonight i'm getting a disco ball tonight i'm gonna try cinnamon swirl jizzy licious like My cart has been added. Okay. Oh, it is full. I'm going to put this blue mean thing on my Christmas list. Like it's like a favorite things party, but like, sorry, we're, we're just gifting you guys the ideas. We're not gifting you the items, but it's like a good virtual of favorite things tips party.
Speaker: Yeah. Yeah. that's I love that a virtual favorite things tip party okay episode title anyways moving was like I got an episode title I got it anyways you know as as sad as this coastal vibes may not have been my favorite the thing at the moment maybe once I tried the sangria version we can give it a couple extra points but With that being said, that's a wrap. That's our show. That's all the favorite mama tea we have for today. Thank you so much for listening. Don't forget to rate and review us on whatever platform you're listening on. As always, tell your friends and keep on whining.
Speaker: Cheers.
