Speaker: Our Buy Me A Coffee link is in the show notes. Now for our fun fact of the day. Let's talk about Disney villains. Many of them are inspired by real people. For instance, Ursula from The Little Mermaid was modeled after the legendary drag queen, Divine. Cruella de Vil's striking look was inspired by the glamorous and eccentric American actress Tallulah Bankhead.
Speaker: That leads us to the Pixar movie Up. Did you know its villain was inspired by a real-life figure from Walt Disney's past? The character's design was inspired by aviator Charles Lindbergh, but his name, Charles Muntz, closely resembles Charles Mintz, a man who caused Disney a lot of trouble.
Speaker: Back in 1928, Charles Mintz exploited a contract loophole to seize the rights to Disney's first character, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. He even took Walt Disney's animators to work for Universal, leaving Walt Disney in a tough spot.
Speaker: It was a happy ending, though. This setback forced Walt Disney to create a new character, and that's how Mickey Mouse was born. It worked out for Walt Disney. Mickey Mouse is pretty well known.
Speaker: All right, let's jump into a quick round of This or That based on today's theme.
Speaker: Okay, This or That, 80s songs, Word Up by Cameo or Straight Up by Paula Abdul. Ooh, these are two great songs, but I have to go Word Up by Cameo.

Sorry, Paula Abdul, but I've got to go with Word Up.
Speaker: Okay, this or that, comedy films, Knocked Up or The Breakup. I think I'd have to go with the breakup. I feel like that's more my sense of humor, but there's just so many funny things in that movie, especially like the little acapella group thing is hilarious.
Speaker: I got to go with Knocked Up. I don't know. Maybe that's my more my humor. I just remember that I laughed so much during that movie. so I mean, Seth Rogen's crushing it now. He's like winning awards. He's like a serious guy now.
