Speaker: That would be Ethiopia. Legend has it that coffee was discovered in the 9th century by a goat herder in Ethiopia. Apparently, the goat herder noticed his goats dancing and acting silly after they ate some red berries from an unknown shrub.
Speaker: He tried them himself and noticed he had a huge burst of energy. He brought them to the monks and they soaked the berries in hot water. They found the taste to be delicious and the drink helped them stay awake during long nights of prayer.
Speaker: Yes, and although we call them coffee beans, they're actually a seed within a berry. All right, let's jump into a quick round of this or that based on today's theme.

Speaker: yep I had a phase this fall where I wanted to make it every weekend too. The spicy maple syrup. Oh my God. It's so good. Spicy maple syrup? Yes. think I've had that. Lightly fried chicken and waffles. Oh gosh. It's so good.
