022 How Trauma Blocks Money pt. 1: Brain States for Ideas & Action

Trauma can make it harder for our brain to generate ideas, take action, and receive. Altogether, that means it can be harder to make money, especially when our other identities have received messages around being less worthy. I'm an anti-capitalist, AND I want my communities to be able to take care of themselves, so this is a huge topic for me. 

This became a two-part episode, and next week I'll talk about receiving. Ideas + Action + Receiving all have practical ideas you can try to get into a brain state that allows each of those to happen more easily. 

And as always, I want to emphasize compassion for ourselves every step of the way. This is an area where small improvements can really add up over time, and it all comes back to our own sense of safety in the world and being able to make space to expand and explore our capacity.
