The Power of Presence: Kristen Such on Self-Mastery and Spiritual Evolution

In this episode of Bigger Talks, Eric and Kristen Such delve into the principles of self-mastery and spiritual evolution. They explore the transformative power of meditation, the pursuit of wholeness, and the journey of finding one's soul purpose beyond corporate confines. Kristen shares the depths of her rock bottom experiences and her subsequent rise by embracing the teachings of Dr. Joe Dispenza. She imparts wisdom on building self-trust, the essence of surrendering to the present moment, and the significance of mastering discomfort for personal and spiritual evolution. Through her candid sharing, Kristen and Eric inspire listeners with actionable strategies to fortify their self-mastery and pursue their true path with confidence and trust.

Also in this episode:

  • Wholeness and abundance are states of being that come from within, and one cultivates them through meditation and introspection.
  • Mastery of discomfort is a key strategy for personal development and achieving one's goals, as it fosters resilience and self-trust.
  • True relationships and divine union emerge from two individuals meeting from places of individual wholeness rather than seeking completion in the other.
  • Acceptance is a transformative tool for personal growth; accepting the worst-case scenario releases resistance and fosters a greater receptivity to life's flow.

00:00:44
Speaker
And I got the lovely Kristen Seek on the podcast, Bigger Talk.
00:00:48
Speaker
I thought it was such.
00:00:49
Speaker
She just corrected me.
00:00:50
Speaker
Thank you, Kristen.
00:00:51

Thank you for being here.

She's a spiritual mentor.
00:00:53
Speaker
She's a confidence coach.
00:00:55
Speaker
She's a mindset coach.
00:00:56
Speaker
She's all the thing.
00:00:56
Speaker
This woman is powerful.
00:00:58
Speaker
By the way, I ran into her on YouTube talking about her Joe Dispenza experience and heart coherence and retreats and quitting the corporate world to get into the spiritual world.
00:01:08
Speaker
Chris, welcome to Bigger Talks.

The Transformative Power of Meditation

00:01:10
Speaker
How are you?
00:01:12
Speaker
How you feeling?
00:01:12
Speaker
Thank you so much for that introduction.
00:01:15
Speaker
I feel like I have big shoes to fill now, but yeah, I'm doing so well.
00:01:19
Speaker
So happy that Joe Dispenza brought us together.
00:01:22
Speaker
How do you do Joe Dispenza, by the way?
00:01:24
Speaker
Well, I do.
00:01:24
Speaker
I love Joe.
00:01:25
Speaker
Joe's the man.
00:01:26
Speaker
Yeah, he is the man.
00:01:28
Speaker
I had a 15-minute morning meditation that I would listen to every morning, probably for like maybe 20 days just to kind of get in that.
00:01:36
Speaker
I was like, last year, I was having like a hard time, a lot of contrasts.
00:01:40
Speaker
But he was just keeping me elevated, keeping me neutralized.
00:01:43
Speaker
And Joe's the guy.
00:01:45
Speaker
He's been through a lot, but he has healed so many souls.
00:01:48
Speaker
And what has your experience been with Joe and his retreats?
00:01:51
Speaker
Can you kind of speak on that?
00:01:53
Speaker
Yeah, so I'll share with the audience like my path with Dr. Joe.
00:01:56
Speaker
So I too went through a very bad rock bottom last year.
00:02:00
Speaker
And I was at the lowest of the lows.
00:02:03
Speaker
You know, I couldn't get myself out of it.
00:02:05
Speaker
I entered a pretty deep depression.
00:02:07
Speaker
And then one day I was just on YouTube.
00:02:09
Speaker
And I remember listening to something of him talking about like, you know, how long are you going to stay in this emotion?
00:02:16
Speaker
And something in me was like my higher self came into my body and was like, it's time.
00:02:20
Speaker
It's time to heal.
00:02:21
Speaker
It's time to change.
00:02:22
Speaker
And so that moment I put on a Joe Dispenza meditation.
00:02:27
Speaker
It was like a 30-minute meditation.
00:02:28
Speaker
And for the first time in six months after I had a really bad, very traumatic breakup, that was what rock-bottomed me.
00:02:35
Speaker
And so for the first time after six months, after that meditation, I felt just a little bit of hope for the first time.
00:02:43
Speaker
And I was like, this little feeling is what I'm going to hold on to for as long as I can.
00:02:47
Speaker
And
00:02:48
Speaker
So I went on this journey and I meditated.
00:02:51
Speaker
I said, I'm going to do this for 60 days and see if it really works.
00:02:53
Speaker
Everyone's saying that you have to be consistent.
00:02:55
Speaker
You have to really dive in.
00:02:56
Speaker
So, okay, let's go.
00:02:58
Speaker
I'm an Aries.
00:02:58
Speaker
So it's like, I go all in or not at all.
00:03:01
Speaker
And I did it for 60 days.
00:03:03
Speaker
And during those 60 days, I would say my depression lifted about 65, 70%.
00:03:07
Speaker
I started making more money in my business.
00:03:12
Speaker
things started falling into place.
00:03:15
Speaker
And I was like, okay, well, is this a coincidence or is it just because I'm getting better?
00:03:19
Speaker
Right?
00:03:20
Speaker
So I took a little break.
00:03:21
Speaker
I took 30 days off and I was doing it sometimes, but every single day is a lot.
00:03:27
Speaker
You have to wake up earlier.
00:03:28
Speaker
It's not a short meditation.
00:03:29
Speaker
I was doing 30 minutes to 40 minutes a day.
00:03:32
Speaker
And I was like, okay, so took 30 days off.
00:03:36
Speaker
Everything went back down.
00:03:37
Speaker
I was just like, huh.
00:03:39
Speaker
Okay, so was it the meditations or what?
00:03:42
Speaker
So then I took the next 30 days, right?
00:03:45
Speaker
It's month four.
00:03:45
Speaker
And I'm like, I'm going to go back all in again and see.
00:03:48
Speaker
That 30 days, everything went right back up.
00:03:50
Speaker
And I'm like, okay, I'm done testing.
00:03:52
Speaker
This is not a coincidence.
00:03:53
Speaker
I'm in.
00:03:54
Speaker
So almost every day since that time, which I guess was probably like eight, nine months ago now, I've done Joe Dispenza meditations.
00:04:02
Speaker
And I'm not going to say like Joe changed my life.
00:04:05
Speaker
The work that he teaches and how to do it has changed my life.
00:04:09
Speaker
And since I've been to two Joe Dispenza retreats, have gone like even deeper, I've manifested so much.
00:04:15
Speaker
I mean, I think you can tell when you really look at me now, like I'm happy, like genuinely happy.
00:04:21
Speaker
And I'm gonna say that the biggest part of that is that it's not because of anything, but because I just feel whole within.
00:04:27
Speaker
And that's really the root of all of his teachings is it teaches you how to feel wholeness without any conditions.
00:04:35
Speaker
And that is truly what we're here to experience.
00:04:38
Speaker
Like we're here to experience that reflection of what the source feels.
00:04:43
Speaker
We are part of the source and the source is wholeness.
00:04:46
Speaker
And so when you can feel that wholeness within you,
00:04:49
Speaker
you are now genuinely that creator that we're here to be.
00:04:52
Speaker
You can manifest, you can create anything that you want because you're creating it from wholeness and not from lack, right?
00:04:58
Speaker
We can create from lack, we do all the time.
00:05:00
Speaker
It's just not gonna give you the actual feeling that you think it's gonna give you.
00:05:04
Speaker
And it's powerful.
00:05:05
Speaker
So many downloads in that moment.
00:05:07
Speaker
So since we're on the topic of wholeness, I want to get into meditation because I think it's important.
00:05:12
Speaker
What is that feeling of wholeness that you feel today that makes you genuinely happy?
00:05:16
Speaker
What does that feel like in your body, in your nervous system?
00:05:19
Speaker
Can you express or give us the visual of what that might look like for someone who wants to fulfill that in this lifetime?
00:05:25
Speaker
Yeah.
00:05:26
Speaker
You know, I'm going to try to be careful with my words because I know some people, it's hard to explain a feeling, right?
00:05:33
Speaker
It's like asking someone, try and explain like what a pineapple tastes like.
00:05:37
Speaker
You're like, you can try, but until you experience it yourself, you're not really going to know.
00:05:43
Speaker
For me, it feels like I have everything I need in that moment and I'm connected to everything.
00:05:50
Speaker
That's what wholeness feels like to me.
00:05:52
Speaker
It's this overarching feeling of oneness.
00:05:55
Speaker
And when you feel connected to everything and like you have everything you need, you're not searching for anything.
00:06:01
Speaker
You're not saying,
00:06:03
Speaker
I want money.
00:06:03
Speaker
I want love.
00:06:04
Speaker
I want

Abundance Beyond Material Wealth

00:06:05
Speaker
friends.
00:06:06
Speaker
You feel like you are that.
00:06:08
Speaker
There's no separation between it.
00:06:10
Speaker
And so for me, it just feels like my most natural state.
00:06:13
Speaker
But in this 3D realm, there's density.
00:06:17
Speaker
There's separation.
00:06:18
Speaker
I mean, it's not a bad thing.
00:06:20
Speaker
Nothing is good or bad, right?
00:06:21
Speaker
It's all the source.
00:06:22
Speaker
But it's just what we signed up for in this video game.
00:06:26
Speaker
We're here to experience that separation, to find that deeper level of wholeness.
00:06:31
Speaker
And the only way that the source could experience it itself, you know, it was one and it said, I'm bored.
00:06:37
Speaker
I want to experience more.
00:06:39
Speaker
So it created many.
00:06:40
Speaker
And now it's having the perspective of many.
00:06:42
Speaker
And that's exactly what we're here to do.
00:06:44
Speaker
We're not here to do anything but experience a new perspective and as many experiences as we can.
00:06:50
Speaker
Yeah, and it's beautiful because life is full.
00:06:53
Speaker
You always tell people, I don't need anything because I have everything and everything is within and I'm whole and I'm complete.
00:07:00
Speaker
I'm fulfilled, which makes me genuinely happy, right?
00:07:04
Speaker
I am meditation.
00:07:06
Speaker
I don't have to meditate.
00:07:07
Speaker
I am meditation when you feel that wholeness that you spoke on.
00:07:11
Speaker
What is your definition of meditation versus the perception of meditation?
00:07:17
Speaker
Cause I feel like you're so embodied and ingrated in meditation where.
00:07:21
Speaker
Yeah.
00:07:21
Speaker
Like once you get in it, you tap right into whatever that beta base and you become whatever you need to become to get where you need to go.
00:07:28
Speaker
I feel like unconsciously, you know, you just.
00:07:31
Speaker
How to get there.
00:07:32
Speaker
Yeah, I do.
00:07:32
Speaker
Yeah.
00:07:33
Speaker
But I will say I know and I'm very confident in that, but I've also sat with myself for dozens and dozens of hours.
00:07:39
Speaker
I've probably sat with myself for days and really sat with that feeling and understood what it was like and learned how to do it.
00:07:47
Speaker
So I think, no, I know what true meditation is, is pure presence.
00:07:54
Speaker
It's not looking for anything.
00:07:57
Speaker
It's not thinking about anything.
00:07:59
Speaker
When you learn how to find, you know, Joe Dispenza calls it the generous present moment.
00:08:04
Speaker
It's why is it generous?
00:08:05
Speaker
It's because in that moment, you have everything you need.
00:08:08
Speaker
Like if me and you can really be in this moment right now and everybody listening, this moment, listen, like listen to my words.
00:08:16
Speaker
Don't think about anything else.
00:08:18
Speaker
You actually have everything you need right now.
00:08:21
Speaker
You have food, right?
00:08:23
Speaker
You're clearly listening to a podcast.
00:08:25
Speaker
You have all your needs met in this moment.
00:08:28
Speaker
And if you actually just stay here instead of thinking about this and that and X, Y, Z and your worries and what you're going to do tomorrow and what you need to do after you listen to this podcast, that will take care of itself.
00:08:38
Speaker
But the true meditation, it doesn't need to be done with your eyes closed.
00:08:42
Speaker
It can just be, I'm purely present.
00:08:44
Speaker
I'm right here.
00:08:46
Speaker
And that is actually what enlightenment is.
00:08:48
Speaker
It's just being present.
00:08:50
Speaker
I think you said something I've never heard said like this before.
00:08:54
Speaker
Presence means that you have everything you need in the moment.
00:08:59
Speaker
Yep.
00:09:00
Speaker
That's what wholeness is.
00:09:01
Speaker
You have everything you need in the moment.
00:09:04
Speaker
We focus on what we don't have in every moment, so we can't be present.
00:09:07
Speaker
We can't meditate.
00:09:08
Speaker
You got to put that out somewhere.
00:09:10
Speaker
Is that in a book?
00:09:11
Speaker
Is that on another podcast?
00:09:12
Speaker
Because if people can just understand that,
00:09:16
Speaker
You point that terminology and that language, they can integrate the presence more of like, look around.
00:09:23
Speaker
You have a phone, you're listening to a podcast, you have your senses, you have everything.
00:09:29
Speaker
I mean, in any moment, you can drop into any dimension, right?
00:09:32
Speaker
You can drop into the dimension of lack.
00:09:34
Speaker
You can say, yeah, Kristen, but I have $50 in my bank account and I don't have the clothes that I want.
00:09:40
Speaker
Like you can drop into that dimension.
00:09:41
Speaker
There's times where I feel still lack, right?
00:09:44
Speaker
Like even though I am so abundant or I can say, I'm literally never going to run out of air.
00:09:49
Speaker
Like literally I'm never going to run out of air.
00:09:51
Speaker
I'm so abundant in air and I have 10 pairs of shoes right there.
00:09:55
Speaker
And my dog's love is never going to run out for me.
00:09:59
Speaker
Like there's so many ways that you can actually find abundance in every moment.
00:10:04
Speaker
This is what being the creator is.
00:10:07
Speaker
It's where do you want to direct your focus?
00:10:09
Speaker
You can be in lack or you can be in abundance.

Finding and Following Your Soul Purpose

00:10:12
Speaker
And when I learned, like during the rock bottom, I was really recoding my lack and my abundant mindset.
00:10:18
Speaker
I really want everyone to hear this because it might be the most important thing if you have a lack mindset.
00:10:24
Speaker
Abundance and money are different.
00:10:27
Speaker
Like really hear that.
00:10:28
Speaker
Oh, hey, whoa, say that again.
00:10:32
Speaker
Abundance and money are different.
00:10:33
Speaker
I can have $5 but still be the most abundant person in the room.
00:10:38
Speaker
And I can have $5 million and be the poorest person in the room.
00:10:43
Speaker
Yeah, I see.
00:10:44
Speaker
Some people so rich, all they have is their poorness.
00:10:47
Speaker
That's all.
00:10:48
Speaker
Their mind and their energy.
00:10:50
Speaker
That's all.
00:10:51
Speaker
When I quit my corporate job, you know, I was looking at all my friends who had their cushy, you know, and it was an eco death for me.
00:10:57
Speaker
I worked at Under Armour.
00:10:58
Speaker
I was so proud of it.
00:10:59
Speaker
I'm like, I manifested this, like I have this beautiful corporate job.
00:11:02
Speaker
And when I quit my job, you know, five years ago, and I decided to be an entrepreneur, I was teaching yoga full time.
00:11:08
Speaker
You know, I was like, I'm an entrepreneur.
00:11:09
Speaker
I'm teaching yoga full time.
00:11:11
Speaker
Like I was living more like less than paycheck to paycheck.
00:11:14
Speaker
I was using some of my savings to cover my costs.
00:11:17
Speaker
And I would see my friends getting off of work at 6 p.m.
00:11:21
Speaker
after going to the gym, going to take a shower, going to make dinner, going home, doing it all over five days a week.
00:11:27
Speaker
I felt richer than all my friends because I did whatever the fuck I wanted during the day.
00:11:31
Speaker
I taught a couple yoga classes.
00:11:32
Speaker
I went home.
00:11:33
Speaker
I made content.
00:11:34
Speaker
I felt so rich, even though I was the poorest one out of all my friends.
00:11:38
Speaker
Now, I like to think that I'm killing it, but it's a mindset.
00:11:44
Speaker
Abundance is a mindset.
00:11:45
Speaker
Yeah.
00:11:46
Speaker
And it's interesting because I think people want more of that, right?
00:11:48
Speaker
Because I tell people, I said, you know, at 22, I came to LA, I went for it, right?
00:11:52
Speaker
Like, but all is in, I'm going for my dreams and I hit a lot of those things, but I don't feel the way they look.
00:11:59
Speaker
So I always say success is getting what you want.
00:12:01
Speaker
Fulfillment is doing what you're made for.
00:12:03
Speaker
And I think what you're speaking to and what people need to take in is that what do you really love?
00:12:08
Speaker
What are you passionate about?
00:12:10
Speaker
And what makes your soul feel happy?
00:12:13
Speaker
Because if you can move more to that space, even if you still have the job, you'll probably have a little more sprinkle of happiness over here.
00:12:20
Speaker
Because it's about your soul purpose, not what you think your life purpose is.
00:12:26
Speaker
So I know you talk about purpose and finding your soul purpose.
00:12:30
Speaker
Can you speak on what you did to tap into the purpose of your soul to kind of be living abundant like you are now and being authentic and transparent about any and everything with no resistance or no fear?
00:12:42
Speaker
How did you get to that point?
00:12:43
Speaker
Like what, you know, you said Joe, the spend the meditation, but now you just send this, you're at bat and you hitting the ball every time you get up.
00:12:51
Speaker
It's like, well, we don't be winning every game and we might be hitting home runs.
00:12:54
Speaker
Yeah, you know, I think that I don't know if there's any other reason we're in human bodies other than to fulfill our soul's purpose.
00:13:02
Speaker
And I want to use these words lightly because it's not like, this is my purpose in this moment, but your purpose, everyone's purpose is an evolution, right?
00:13:10
Speaker
So at the time, my purpose was my corporate job.
00:13:13
Speaker
And that was teaching me so many soul lessons.
00:13:16
Speaker
And so if somebody is looking for their soul's purpose, my biggest and best advice for you is,
00:13:21
Speaker
Stop focusing on finding the one thing and focus on just the next step that your soul is telling you to do.
00:13:30
Speaker
So I like to tell my story because it's a really, really good reminder that things need to evolve into something bigger and they need time and change.
00:13:39
Speaker
there's steps to your purpose, right?
00:13:41
Speaker
So a good example.
00:13:42
Speaker
So let's like kind of just dial back to my first corporate job at Under Armour, which we, you know, me and you connected on because I was like, I lived in Baltimore too.
00:13:49
Speaker
And I have that four years in Baltimore that just kind of, I feel like maybe connects us a little bit.
00:13:54
Speaker
But I worked at Under Armour and while I was at Under Armour,
00:13:57
Speaker
I have a double major in supply chain and finance.
00:13:59
Speaker
That's what I went to school for because I thought that was going to make me successful.
00:14:02
Speaker
My dad told me, be in business.
00:14:04
Speaker
And I was like, okay.
00:14:05
Speaker
So I get this double major.
00:14:07
Speaker
I go get a supply chain job.
00:14:09
Speaker
I hate it.
00:14:10
Speaker
So I moved to finance.
00:14:11
Speaker
I hate it.
00:14:11
Speaker
I moved to another job in finance.
00:14:13
Speaker
I hate it.
00:14:14
Speaker
I was about to quit my job.
00:14:15
Speaker
And my mom was like, please just try one more thing before you leave it.
00:14:18
Speaker
And if you don't like it, then you can leave.
00:14:19
Speaker
And I won't say anything.
00:14:21
Speaker
So I tried a job in HR.
00:14:23
Speaker
Again, I hated it.
00:14:25
Speaker
At this point, I had been in the corporate world for four years, tried everything under the sun, and I was deeply, deeply, deeply depressed.
00:14:32
Speaker
So this is a really good moment where you can reflect if anybody's trying to find their purpose.
00:14:38
Speaker
If you're feeling depressed, if you're feeling sad, if you're feeling stuck, if you feel like you don't want to be at the next level of your job, it's probably not for you, right?
00:14:45
Speaker
You have to listen to your soul.
00:14:48
Speaker
Our soul speaks to us all the time.
00:14:49
Speaker
We just are so committed to the logical thing versus the intuitive, emotional thing, right?
00:14:55
Speaker
Our soul speaks to us through our emotions.
00:14:57
Speaker
And so finally, I hit that cracking point, that dark night of the soul where I can't be at this cube for any more days.
00:15:04
Speaker
I can't do it.
00:15:05
Speaker
I feel like my soul is dying.
00:15:07
Speaker
And I did.
00:15:08
Speaker
I felt like my soul was just shriveling up and becoming nothing.
00:15:11
Speaker
And so...
00:15:12
Speaker
Then I quit my corporate job and I decided to become a full-time yoga teacher.
00:15:16
Speaker
I was like, I don't know what I'm going to do, but I'm going to figure it out.
00:15:19
Speaker
And I just trusted that I would know what to do when.
00:15:22
Speaker
And then I quickly got burned out at that.
00:15:24
Speaker
And then I scaled back my teaching and I started a freelance marketing business where I was doing social media for all the small businesses in Baltimore.
00:15:32
Speaker
I had like four or five businesses that I was doing their social medias.
00:15:35
Speaker
And so I was doing yoga and my freelance marketing business.
00:15:38
Speaker
But it felt weird to like...
00:15:40
Speaker
also build something for someone else that I didn't really care about.
00:15:44
Speaker
So I knew that that wasn't really my thing.
00:15:47
Speaker
And it wasn't also pulling in the amount of money to give me the comfortable life that I wanted.
00:15:53
Speaker
And so then COVID hit.
00:15:55
Speaker
And so all of the marketing dollars obviously go to the trash and the yoga studio closes down and I'm SOL, right?
00:16:03
Speaker
I'm shit out of luck.
00:16:05
Speaker
And I'm like, okay, what's next?
00:16:07
Speaker
So I go inward again and I'm like, what is my soul calling me to do?
00:16:10
Speaker
And at the time I had been taking like a life coaching course because everyone would come to me for advice, like no matter what, since I was younger, like everyone would just come to me and they'd be like,
00:16:20
Speaker
What should I do or tell me how to handle this?
00:16:22
Speaker
And so I was doing that, but I was never really thinking that I was going to do anything with it.
00:16:27
Speaker
I was just like, this is something that I'm interested in, but I'm kind of too scared.
00:16:30
Speaker
And then when COVID hit and I had no way to make money, my soul just pushed me off the cliff and was like, do or die.
00:16:36
Speaker
I had to.
00:16:38
Speaker
And that was four and a half years ago now, maybe four, yeah, four or four and a half years ago.
00:16:43
Speaker
And it worked.
00:16:44
Speaker
I'm now a spiritual mentor.
00:16:46
Speaker
I have a podcast.
00:16:48
Speaker
I host retreats around the world.
00:16:49
Speaker
Like it's evolved, right?
00:16:51
Speaker
My point of telling my story is if I had left Under Armour and said, what is my soul's purpose?
00:16:58
Speaker
I need to know.
00:16:59
Speaker
I have to know before I quit this job because I need that certainty.
00:17:03
Speaker
I would have never found this.
00:17:06
Speaker
It was a progression.
00:17:07
Speaker
It was all giving me skills that led to this.
00:17:10
Speaker
And so I try to shy people away from finding that one soul's purpose and more focusing on presence and saying, what is the next step?
00:17:20
Speaker
Because when you're living in pure presence, it's actually gonna end even better than you could ever imagine, even that you could plan out.
00:17:29
Speaker
Like what I'm doing now and how I'm doing it
00:17:31
Speaker
is so much bigger than I could have thought up for myself back then.
00:17:35
Speaker
Yeah, and the thing is, you said something in your story that stood out.
00:17:38
Speaker
You said the word trust.
00:17:40
Speaker
Trust what comes through, trust what you know.
00:17:42
Speaker
So you said trust.
00:17:43
Speaker
I'm like, hmm, I'm gonna ask a question like that.
00:17:45
Speaker
And then you said you were doing something that you love to do, but it wasn't for yourself.

Trusting the Unknown and Embracing Growth

00:17:50
Speaker
And it's a lot of us out there that are great at something that we're doing for others, but we don't know how to do it for ourselves with the same passion.
00:17:57
Speaker
So my question to you, how does a person,
00:18:00
Speaker
Get into a trustful state where they trust what's coming through.
00:18:03
Speaker
They trust the intuitive hits and the nudges.
00:18:06
Speaker
And how do they be passionate about doing something for themselves?
00:18:10
Speaker
Like, what does that look like?
00:18:12
Speaker
Because I think that's a challenge for most people.
00:18:14
Speaker
Lack of trust.
00:18:15
Speaker
And I can't give to myself the way I give to others.
00:18:18
Speaker
Yeah.
00:18:19
Speaker
Trust is a practice.
00:18:20
Speaker
Like anything else, it doesn't come overnight.
00:18:23
Speaker
It comes over consistent action.
00:18:25
Speaker
And I love to use this analogy to describe self-trust.
00:18:29
Speaker
So let's say me and you are new friends, right?
00:18:32
Speaker
Let's say we're hanging out and we just meet at some random event in LA.
00:18:35
Speaker
And I'm like, Eric, let's hang out.
00:18:36
Speaker
And you're like, yeah, yeah, totally.
00:18:38
Speaker
So I'm like, okay, let's get coffee 10 a.m.
00:18:40
Speaker
Sunday.
00:18:40
Speaker
And you're like, yes, for sure.
00:18:41
Speaker
So we go, we plan to get coffee Sunday.
00:18:44
Speaker
I'm sitting there at 9.55, ready to go.
00:18:47
Speaker
And you shoot me a text.
00:18:48
Speaker
I totally forgot.
00:18:49
Speaker
I'm so sorry.
00:18:50
Speaker
Can we do later this week?
00:18:52
Speaker
So I'm like, okay, annoying, but I'll just get my coffee, go home.
00:18:54
Speaker
Cool.
00:18:54
Speaker
Yeah.
00:18:54
Speaker
So cool.
00:18:55
Speaker
Later this week.
00:18:56
Speaker
We plan on Wednesday morning.
00:18:58
Speaker
Then Tuesday night, you send me a text 10 p.m.
00:19:01
Speaker
You're like, hey, I'm going to be out late tonight.
00:19:03
Speaker
I don't think I can get coffee in the morning.
00:19:04
Speaker
I'm so sorry.
00:19:05
Speaker
Okay.
00:19:06
Speaker
Yeah.
00:19:07
Speaker
And then you're like, let's plan for this weekend.
00:19:09
Speaker
Then the weekend rolls around.
00:19:10
Speaker
I don't hear from you.
00:19:11
Speaker
Friend to friend, do you think I'm going to have any trust in you?
00:19:15
Speaker
Yeah, no.
00:19:16
Speaker
No, because you are not doing what you said you were going to do.
00:19:21
Speaker
Now, I love this analogy because we have to flip this back on ourselves.
00:19:26
Speaker
Self-trust is not built in big moments where you quit your job and you do all these big things.
00:19:30
Speaker
Self-trust is built in small moments.
00:19:33
Speaker
It's built in the moment you don't want to go to the gym, but you go anyway.
00:19:36
Speaker
It's built in the moment you say, I'm going to start that business and then you buy the domain.
00:19:40
Speaker
It's built in very small, seemingly irrelevant moments where
00:19:44
Speaker
where you show up for yourself and you say, when I say something, I'm going to do it.
00:19:50
Speaker
And when you feel a sense of trust in yourself, you no longer need certainty, right?
00:19:56
Speaker
I'm the kind of person where even if I fail, I failed millions of times on this entrepreneurial journey.
00:20:02
Speaker
I failed millions of times in my life in certain things.
00:20:05
Speaker
And I trust that I will figure it out.
00:20:09
Speaker
I don't need to know the certainty because I just trust I'll get through it.
00:20:13
Speaker
And when you have that deeper security within yourself, you no longer need to know every step, every move, everything, because you just know you're the type of person that just figures it out.
00:20:24
Speaker
Yeah, and it's so beautiful the way you gave that analogy because my entire life, people say, well, what about you?
00:20:30
Speaker
I was like, I'm gonna be good, trust me.
00:20:32
Speaker
I'm gonna be good no matter what, I'm gonna figure it out.
00:20:34
Speaker
But I didn't know that that was me telling myself I trust myself.
00:20:37
Speaker
I won't overshare, overgive, overdo because I'm like, I'm good.
00:20:40
Speaker
Trust me.
00:20:41
Speaker
I'm going to figure it out.
00:20:42
Speaker
But I don't know what I was saying.
00:20:43
Speaker
I just knew in my heart.
00:20:44
Speaker
I didn't believe it.
00:20:46
Speaker
There was a knowing.
00:20:47
Speaker
No, I'm good.
00:20:48
Speaker
Watch this.
00:20:48
Speaker
That's trust, right?
00:20:50
Speaker
So we got to get back to the place of how do I trust myself in those little moments?
00:20:55
Speaker
What is my intuition saying?
00:20:57
Speaker
Kristen is inviting me out.
00:20:58
Speaker
So I'm the guy who's, you invited me to get coffee, but I didn't trust what came through.
00:21:03
Speaker
I don't really want to get coffee.
00:21:05
Speaker
So I'm not being authentic and tell you, hey, this week won't work.
00:21:08
Speaker
I'm busy.
00:21:09
Speaker
Right?
00:21:10
Speaker
Instead, I say yes, and I really want to say no.
00:21:12
Speaker
So now I'm messing up your trust in me as a friend.
00:21:16
Speaker
That's another reason where we don't follow what we feel.
00:21:20
Speaker
Exactly.
00:21:21
Speaker
At the end of the day, you have to see who you are, right?
00:21:24
Speaker
Like, okay, you know, I say on the side, let's go, E. Come on, big dog.
00:21:28
Speaker
You say all this.
00:21:29
Speaker
Come on, Mr. Positively.
00:21:30
Speaker
Jump in.
00:21:31
Speaker
Jump in the deep end.
00:21:32
Speaker
You know, swim with the sharks.
00:21:33
Speaker
And then people are like, well, I'll wait when I do this and I...
00:21:36
Speaker
They say success likes speed because slow is complex.
00:21:39
Speaker
Let's do it now.
00:21:41
Speaker
You talk about so much in that moment.
00:21:43
Speaker
I think that's what people really need is trust.
00:21:46
Speaker
I mean, trust in everything.
00:21:47
Speaker
Trust in relationships, trust in partnerships, trust in themselves, trust in the business.
00:21:52
Speaker
And then the masculine thing of it, you will figure it out.
00:21:57
Speaker
Yeah, it doesn't matter what you need trust in.
00:21:59
Speaker
I think that it's all trusting the unknown.
00:22:02
Speaker
When you are not able to trust the unknown, you are constantly grasping for certainty in a literal world that is created for uncertainty.
00:22:15
Speaker
That is the easiest way to be fucking miserable on this earth plane, is needing to know what happens next.
00:22:22
Speaker
And if you can actually just...
00:22:25
Speaker
fucking surrender, like really just say, I don't know what's going to happen next, but I'm so freaking excited because everything just turns out always.
00:22:34
Speaker
Okay.
00:22:35
Speaker
Then you are in this vibrational space of the universe is going to actually serve you up
00:22:41
Speaker
the most magical moments, people's synchronicities, everything, because you're in flow.
00:22:49
Speaker
When you're forcing, when you're needing to know, you're not in flow, you're in freaking expectation.
00:22:54
Speaker
And that is not a magnetic frequency.
00:22:57
Speaker
I don't have the expectation.
00:22:58
Speaker
I have appreciation.
00:22:59
Speaker
I think that's another one, trust and then surrender.
00:23:02
Speaker
So from your paradigm, how does one trust one in their mind and how do two, they trust in their body?
00:23:08
Speaker
Because I know, not trust, I'm sorry, surrender in their mind and then surrender in their body, right?
00:23:13
Speaker
When it comes to like a relationship, quitting a job, leaving a job or making a big life decision, moving to the other side of the country, how do we surrender?
00:23:22
Speaker
Because I dealt with that and that's hard to surrender.
00:23:24
Speaker
Like last year, you spoke about your contrast and, you know, Dark Knight of the Soul.
00:23:28
Speaker
My fear was I was afraid I'm going to lose everything I created with this false identity that I thought I should be.
00:23:34
Speaker
It wasn't the illusion.
00:23:35
Speaker
It was fear that was controlling me.
00:23:36
Speaker
Once I didn't care anymore, I'm like, whatever happens, happens.
00:23:39
Speaker
My life changed.
00:23:40
Speaker
But I don't know what I did in my mind and my body.
00:23:43
Speaker
I just made a decision and things just changed.
00:23:45
Speaker
Yeah, I'll talk about it.
00:23:47
Speaker
I'm really good at making systems and processes for these types of things, so I'll talk about it from a few different angles.
00:23:53
Speaker
The first angle is there is really a trauma piece to this.
00:23:56
Speaker
If you were never taught to trust yourself or your brain is not wired to know that everything is going to be okay, this is where with my clients I use a lot of inner child and emotional regulation work.
00:24:09
Speaker
I have this meditation that I created for my clients called return to safety.
00:24:12
Speaker
And what you do is you practice the feelings of safety in your body because safety is actually a construct of the mind.
00:24:20
Speaker
Like, let's say you even feel safe at a corporate job.
00:24:22
Speaker
Well, you're not actually safe there.
00:24:23
Speaker
Like they could fire you tomorrow and tell you that they're not going to pay you.
00:24:26
Speaker
Like, that's just a construct you're creating that you're safe.
00:24:28
Speaker
Right.
00:24:28
Speaker
It's not real.
00:24:29
Speaker
It's just a construct.
00:24:30
Speaker
Right.
00:24:30
Speaker
And so you can actually create the construct of safety in your body without any conditions, which is what I'm trying to help my clients do.
00:24:38
Speaker
Like the reason that us as entrepreneurs can feel safe, even though we don't know how much money is going to come in this month is because we've created a higher baseline of safety in that unknown.
00:24:48
Speaker
So number one, I would say is like training your body and your brain through subconscious work, like inner child or safety work.
00:24:55
Speaker
And I have those meditations I can give to your audience as well, that like you can
00:25:00
Speaker
create safety, right?
00:25:01
Speaker
You create safety within.
00:25:03
Speaker
So I would say that's a really good way to start.
00:25:07
Speaker
And then what you were saying, you're like, I don't know what I did.
00:25:10
Speaker
Well, I do know what you did.
00:25:11
Speaker
And what you kind of said at the end is you were like, I thought my biggest fear was that I was going to lose everything from this fake perception that I created.
00:25:21
Speaker
But then when I accepted it, then everything fell into place.
00:25:25
Speaker
So this is actually a process I use with my clients called worst case scenario work.
00:25:30
Speaker
When you can accept the worst case scenario, you will actually no longer be in resistance to the flow of life.
00:25:38
Speaker
Oh, Christy, say that again.
00:25:41
Speaker
Oh, wow.
00:25:42
Speaker
Yeah.
00:25:43
Speaker
Okay.
00:25:43
Speaker
Let me explain it a little bit better.
00:25:45
Speaker
So let's say that you are scared shitless to quit your corporate job.
00:25:48
Speaker
I don't know.
00:25:49
Speaker
And you want to start this business and you are having so much fear that
00:25:54
Speaker
The way that I would work with it with you is I would say, okay, what's the worst case scenario if you quit your corporate job and this business doesn't work?
00:26:03
Speaker
Maybe you're like, okay, I lose the money I invested in the business.
00:26:06
Speaker
I've invested $20,000 and then I fail and then I don't have a job.
00:26:10
Speaker
Okay, so what would you do after that?
00:26:11
Speaker
I don't know, probably get another corporate job.
00:26:14
Speaker
We're not saying that this is going to happen, but can you accept that that might happen?
00:26:18
Speaker
Can you fully get on board?
00:26:19
Speaker
Like, go feel those feelings, like really go there, go there and feel it because the reason you're not wanting to do it is because you think that those emotions are so uncomfortable that you won't be able to handle it.
00:26:32
Speaker
Pre kind of like prepare yourself, prepare yourself, go feel that, see what it would feel like, sit there for a second, realize you're still okay and say, okay, if that happens and that's the worst thing, I accept it, but I still want that thing and I don't think that's gonna happen, so I'm gonna keep going.
00:26:50
Speaker
Wow.
00:26:50
Speaker
And it's so true because it's like radical acceptance.
00:26:53
Speaker
Like no matter what, good, bad, or different, I accept all of life.
00:26:57
Speaker
Even the parts I don't like about others, myself, the work environment, where I live, how I'm living, unconditional acceptance for all of things.
00:27:05
Speaker
And then I don't have nothing controlling me because of fear or what ifs.
00:27:10
Speaker
I'm just like, and then you're working with me as a client and I get off a call and next thing you know, I get the biggest email in my life to change.
00:27:16
Speaker
Like, oh, we want to move you to the East coast and pay you all this money.
00:27:19
Speaker
And it's like, cause we just got through that moment.
00:27:21
Speaker
Cause healing happens in an instant.
00:27:24
Speaker
Once you shift the paradigm and you just got that, I like, wow, that's all I had to do in your life.
00:27:30
Speaker
Yeah.
00:27:30
Speaker
Just accept, like just be in that energy of like, I accept.
00:27:34
Speaker
And you know, when I was in my rock bottom, like really deep into it, I don't know if, you know, I'm sure so many people have gone through a very bad rock bottom.
00:27:41
Speaker
When you're really deep into it and you can't see a way out, like it's moment to moment.
00:27:44
Speaker
Like you have to just get by every single moment.
00:27:47
Speaker
And I remember in that rock bottom, I would say when I was feeling so much resistance in my body to my reality outside,
00:27:54
Speaker
I would say, I would just go close my eyes and I would get into my heart and I would just say, I accept this moment.
00:27:59
Speaker
I accept this moment.
00:28:01
Speaker
I accept this experience.
00:28:03
Speaker
I accept that we're not together anymore.
00:28:06
Speaker
I accept that this is my reality.
00:28:08
Speaker
I would just go into an acceptance rant.
00:28:10
Speaker
I would feel like 10% better.
00:28:12
Speaker
I'd be like, okay, if I accept it, then nothing needs to change when you're in true acceptance.
00:28:16
Speaker
When you accept something, you don't no longer need things to change.
00:28:20
Speaker
When you accept something, you no longer need things to change.
00:28:24
Speaker
That's the ultimate cylinder.
00:28:27
Speaker
I accept it.
00:28:27
Speaker
Like every time you don't like where you are, when you need something to change, you need the manifestation.
00:28:32
Speaker
You need something to be happier in resistance.
00:28:35
Speaker
If you just accept exactly where you are, you automatically bring yourself back into the present moment and release all the resistance.
00:28:43
Speaker
And then you believe that's why meditation is so great.
00:28:45
Speaker
I mean, you can kind of really embody it the way you should and be really present.
00:28:49
Speaker
Well, yeah, it neutralizes your vibration.
00:28:52
Speaker
It really just brings you back to neutrality.
00:28:54
Speaker
Like we can't manifest what we want from a place of resistance.
00:29:01
Speaker
We just can't.
00:29:02
Speaker
So, you know, you have so much that you give the world.
00:29:07
Speaker
You remind me myself in a different way, but it's like you have this information.
00:29:11
Speaker
So I was on your social media and you had a, I think it was a thread.
00:29:15
Speaker
And you said, if you feel cringe,
00:29:18
Speaker
It's okay.
00:29:20
Speaker
And you didn't moderate on that.
00:29:21
Speaker
Because I think we all feel the cringe.
00:29:23
Speaker
Like, I got to do this.
00:29:25
Speaker
I don't want to tell this person the truth.
00:29:27
Speaker
What is that cringe?
00:29:28
Speaker
And what were you saying?
00:29:29
Speaker
What is the context you were speaking from?
00:29:32
Speaker
I'm not going to lie.
00:29:32
Speaker
I don't remember that.
00:29:34
Speaker
No.
00:29:35
Speaker
I like make so much content every day.
00:29:36
Speaker
Like, I feel like I literally just channel shit and just like type it out.
00:29:39
Speaker
Like, I just put it somewhere, you know, because it's like, it's just flowing through me.
00:29:42
Speaker
And sometimes I'm like, I don't know.
00:29:44
Speaker
Somebody needs to hear this, whatever.
00:29:46
Speaker
But, you know, I mean, I'll say what's coming through right now is like,
00:29:49
Speaker
I think so many people are just scared of emotions.
00:29:53
Speaker
They're scared of feeling cringe.
00:29:55
Speaker
And it's like, what if you decided that you were okay for one week, one year, feeling uncomfortable emotions?
00:30:04
Speaker
How much further would you get in your goals?
00:30:07
Speaker
Think about that.
00:30:07
Speaker
Like everyone just doesn't do things because they're scared of feeling uncomfortable emotions.
00:30:12
Speaker
I tell my clients all the time, the biggest hack to get what you want is to master discomfort.
00:30:17
Speaker
That's it.
00:30:18
Speaker
Master discomfort.
00:30:19
Speaker
If you can be okay feeling cringe, feeling like a failure, feeling like a loser, feeling like no one likes you for a second, if you can be like, these are uncomfortable emotions and I will get through it, now nothing's stopping you.
00:30:33
Speaker
You're just going to kill it in life.
00:30:35
Speaker
You're not attached to anything.
00:30:37
Speaker
I was talking to myself.
00:30:38
Speaker
That doesn't matter.
00:30:39
Speaker
Yeah, because you feel wholeness within.
00:30:41
Speaker
They're going to think and say anyway.
00:30:43
Speaker
And it's like so great because you're teaching them how to detach once they embody the uncomfortability of those feelings.
00:30:49
Speaker
Like, oh, this is what embarrassing feels like.
00:30:51
Speaker
Oh, this is what fears feel like.
00:30:53
Speaker
Oh, heartbreak.
00:30:54
Speaker
Oh, I felt that before.
00:30:56
Speaker
And then you can relate.
00:30:57
Speaker
So now, you know, it's not even as deep as you made it in your mind because you have the actual experience of feeling.
00:31:03
Speaker
Like, you know, I want to share something with you.
00:31:05
Speaker
Like, I feel like everybody went through this dark night of the soul last year for some reason.
00:31:10
Speaker
You know, seven, 2023 is a seven is number of truth and psychic.
00:31:15
Speaker
And I had a lot of people contemplate suicide last year that was in my life that were coming to me.
00:31:20
Speaker
And it would scare me because it's like people I love, they care about.
00:31:22
Speaker
I'm like, oh, what?
00:31:24
Speaker
Oh God, what's going on?
00:31:26
Speaker
I'm trying to find myself.
00:31:27
Speaker
I'm having an ego death.
00:31:29
Speaker
And now when that thing comes on my doorstep, I'm like, oh, this is easy work.
00:31:32
Speaker
What are we doing?
00:31:33
Speaker
Because I'm not attached to it because I have information and experience to know, like, I don't have to fear this.
00:31:39
Speaker
I can face this with love and like accept why, okay, that's how they're feeling.
00:31:42
Speaker
I know what's going on internally, but I don't have to become it to help it.
00:31:47
Speaker
I can kind of just hold space and let people be however they are in that moment of feeling uncomfortable.
00:31:53
Speaker
But now I'm so confident when I get those calls now, I'm not tripping.
00:31:57
Speaker
I'm not out of my body.
00:31:58
Speaker
I'm totally present.
00:31:59
Speaker
Okay, talk to me.
00:32:01
Speaker
Right.
00:32:01
Speaker
And they don't know.
00:32:02
Speaker
I'm doing a sense of doing Reiki on them and sending them energy and love.
00:32:06
Speaker
And I'm just like, yeah, three more.
00:32:08
Speaker
And I'm just holding space.
00:32:10
Speaker
And then they start crying.
00:32:11
Speaker
I'm like, damn, you see, you feel better, right?
00:32:14
Speaker
No one's judging.
00:32:16
Speaker
And then you're like, but I had to go through that uncomfortable part to what you were saying to feel competent in that moment again in a different way.
00:32:24
Speaker
Totally.
00:32:25
Speaker
And I think that we had very similar experiences.
00:32:28
Speaker
I don't know what your rock bottom was, but I know for me, it's like the level of trust I feel in myself before that rock bottom and after, it's like I had that basic level of self-trust.
00:32:38
Speaker
But when you go through something really fucking hard and you realize no one can pull me out of this but me, and then you pick up the pieces off the floor and you glue yourself back together piece by piece, shard by shard, there is a
00:32:52
Speaker
whole new level of self-trust that you get.
00:32:54
Speaker
Like for me, I'm like, try me.
00:32:57
Speaker
I'm like, try me life because you know what?
00:33:00
Speaker
Nothing can fucking scare me now because I just went through the hardest year of my life and look at me now.
00:33:06
Speaker
I'm thriving.
00:33:07
Speaker
Like nothing scares you anymore because you go through it and you learn, I got me.
00:33:13
Speaker
I got me.
00:33:14
Speaker
Nobody else needs to get me because I got me.
00:33:16
Speaker
I'll make it through no matter what.
00:33:18
Speaker
And that's amazing.
00:33:19
Speaker
And, you know, I got to a point last year, my mom was like, listen, the end of the day is between you and God.
00:33:25
Speaker
You can give me all and I can give you my advice from my experience.
00:33:29
Speaker
There's no need to tell anyone what I'm going through.
00:33:31
Speaker
I just need to trust and know and let go.
00:33:34
Speaker
But let's talk about, I want to get into like the plant medicine.
00:33:38
Speaker
So I did a cacao in March for my birthday and it really opened up my mind, right?
00:33:44
Speaker
I already tapped in, but I was now to tune me into a different way.
00:33:47
Speaker
And what happened for me, fear like left my body.
00:33:52
Speaker
Mama Cacao was talking to me and like fear just left.
00:33:54
Speaker
And I'm like, oh, everything is fear to keep us from remembering who we are.
00:33:59
Speaker
And then now within a few days, I'm going to go to Peru to do St.
00:34:04
Speaker
Pedro.
00:34:04
Speaker
But I want to know what's your journey on plant medicine?
00:34:08
Speaker
How has it helped your life?
00:34:09
Speaker
And do you think most people should do it?
00:34:12
Speaker
Like, what is your experience?
00:34:14
Speaker
Yeah.
00:34:14
Speaker
So I love that you did, that cacao broke you open because cacao is such a gentle medicine.
00:34:20
Speaker
So anyone who's like wanting to maybe even just dip their toes, I think cacao is like a beautiful place to start.
00:34:25
Speaker
It's not a psychedelic, it's just a heart opener and it really just cracks you open.
00:34:29
Speaker
And so I've worked with cacao for years.
00:34:31
Speaker
That's probably like where my journey started.
00:34:33
Speaker
I never really realized it.
00:34:35
Speaker
And then, you know, in the last couple, I really created a beautiful relationship with magic mushroom psilocybin.
00:34:43
Speaker
And I've done several heroic doses now.
00:34:47
Speaker
And I will say that, you know, I've been on my spiritual journey.
00:34:49
Speaker
I had my spiritual awakening when I was 17.
00:34:51
Speaker
So I think that's where the depth of me comes from.
00:34:54
Speaker
You know, most people awaken in their 20s or even late 20s, like 17.
00:34:58
Speaker
I was in freaking high school, you know, it's been a long time.
00:35:01
Speaker
And so the reason I'm bringing that up is because...

Psilocybin and Profound Spiritual Experiences

00:35:04
Speaker
Mushrooms have been the most profound teacher I've ever had.
00:35:07
Speaker
It's my biggest spiritual teacher.
00:35:09
Speaker
I learned more on a six-hour mushroom trip than I did 10 years on my spiritual journey, reading books, doing work on myself.
00:35:16
Speaker
Like truly, it is such a powerful medicine.
00:35:21
Speaker
I mean, there's so much we could talk about.
00:35:23
Speaker
I'll kind of wrap it with mushrooms give you what you need, not what you want.
00:35:27
Speaker
And it's like you could go in and you could want to have this experience and blah, blah, blah.
00:35:33
Speaker
And like you could have all these expectations and mushrooms might make you look at the one thing that you've been avoiding for 10 years.
00:35:38
Speaker
You know what I mean?
00:35:39
Speaker
And that's exactly what you needed.
00:35:41
Speaker
They're so intelligent and so...
00:35:44
Speaker
Right now, I am big in microdosing.
00:35:46
Speaker
I have a microdosing practice right now, and I've taken a little bit of time off of like the big doses because I did quite a few last year and early this year that I do think that I just need to integrate because it can take a year to integrate all the lessons that you learn in that six-hour trip.
00:36:01
Speaker
I can't speak highly enough of them.
00:36:04
Speaker
As for, you know, you said, should everyone do them?
00:36:06
Speaker
Absolutely not.
00:36:07
Speaker
Like if you're not feeling called to them, then the medicine calls to you.
00:36:11
Speaker
It's such an intuitive thing.
00:36:14
Speaker
And I think that it actually could be very harmful for people to like do it when they're not ready or when they haven't done their inner work.
00:36:20
Speaker
Because, you know, you think about when people say like, I had a bad trip.
00:36:24
Speaker
My genuine feelings about that are,
00:36:28
Speaker
One, if you're disrespecting the medicine, like doing it a large dose in a setting that it shouldn't be done, that can happen.
00:36:34
Speaker
But number two, like bad trips for me are things came up that I wasn't ready to deal with.
00:36:40
Speaker
That's what a bad trip for me feels like is like, it's not a bad trip is you just haven't, you can't find the awareness where you're able to close the loop and understand why it happened.
00:36:50
Speaker
And so I like to, yeah, I don't know.
00:36:53
Speaker
Do you have any other questions about it?
00:36:55
Speaker
That's
00:36:55
Speaker
No, I mean, it's beautiful.
00:36:56
Speaker
I think you said, like you said, you should do it when you're called to.
00:36:59
Speaker
Like I'm always against it.
00:37:01
Speaker
I mean, I got friends in Tulum and all these places in the world.
00:37:03
Speaker
And I'm like, hold on.
00:37:04
Speaker
So you're doing ayahuasca, but your life's not changing.
00:37:06
Speaker
I don't get it, bro.
00:37:07
Speaker
I'm doing something in my life not changing.
00:37:09
Speaker
I like to execute and apply and integrate and embody.
00:37:12
Speaker
How's your life not changing?
00:37:14
Speaker
Oh, man, it's just crazy, but your life is still the same.
00:37:16
Speaker
So tell me why does it benefit?
00:37:19
Speaker
So my thing is, we're going through the dark night of the soul and experience all this loss and rebirth.
00:37:26
Speaker
I met someone where we're in the lines like, oh, you should do cacao.
00:37:29
Speaker
I'm thinking like, oh, cacao is chocolate, like dark chocolate, right?
00:37:32
Speaker
And then from there, it just really opened me up.
00:37:35
Speaker
And I'm like...
00:37:37
Speaker
Okay, and then my spirit was like in Joshua Tree and I did my cacao ceremony.
00:37:41
Speaker
Before I did the cacao, I had this heart in around my heart.
00:37:45
Speaker
It was from my relationship and friendships that I had to let go and it was just hard.
00:37:50
Speaker
I never told him I was afraid, I wanted to go to the hospital, but it was really hard.
00:37:54
Speaker
I'm like, this is kind of odd.
00:37:56
Speaker
I said, maybe I'm just broken and I just need to heal.
00:37:59
Speaker
And, you know, probably like 30 minutes in or maybe 15, I started really like, it's like something started to like remove itself.
00:38:06
Speaker
Like it's not hard.
00:38:07
Speaker
And then, you know, I looked at, you know, my friend was, you know, guiding it for me.
00:38:11
Speaker
And I just like, you really sold me for who I was.
00:38:13
Speaker
And I can trust people getting out to start crying.
00:38:16
Speaker
Yeah.
00:38:16
Speaker
Your heart opened.
00:38:17
Speaker
The heart is the portal.
00:38:18
Speaker
Yeah.
00:38:19
Speaker
And I was just like.
00:38:21
Speaker
And then from there, while I was in the hospital retreat, I was like, correct, I got to get to Peru.
00:38:25
Speaker
But I didn't know why.
00:38:27
Speaker
A day later, she was saying, like, I just got the offer from the ancestors.
00:38:30
Speaker
I can offer you this.
00:38:32
Speaker
You should come to my retreat.
00:38:33
Speaker
Just come.
00:38:34
Speaker
We have a space for you.
00:38:35
Speaker
Get your flight.
00:38:36
Speaker
It's something to cure.
00:38:38
Speaker
And I'm like, wow.
00:38:39
Speaker
I got to go on calls, right?
00:38:41
Speaker
And so now I'm just in a space of like, okay, this medicine I know is not only going to help me, but help my soul family and the people that's connected to who I am in this lifetime.
00:38:51
Speaker
And like you said, it's all information, right?
00:38:53
Speaker
And download from the cosmos and your ancestors.
00:38:56
Speaker
And I believe I'm here to raise the frequency of humanity.
00:38:59
Speaker
And I just want to continue to connect with the medicine in an authentic way that I'm called to do it.
00:39:05
Speaker
But everything is not for everybody.
00:39:07
Speaker
And I think what you do and what you offer to the world is what people need to hear because I like how you break things down.
00:39:14
Speaker
You make things make sense.
00:39:17
Speaker
And I think there's a lot of people who have knowledge, but they don't know how to articulate the knowledge, nor do they know how to integrate the knowledge.
00:39:24
Speaker
So they'll throw that always on this hamster wheel of reading the books, meditating, going to retreat with nothing.
00:39:29
Speaker
It's changing.
00:39:30
Speaker
So can you share with the audience from your world, how do you get someone to really embody the medicine of whatever you're teaching so they can get it and you're not always coming back to recondition or reprogram them with information?
00:39:47
Speaker
What's the best way to embody something?
00:39:49
Speaker
I've really been thinking about this lately, this idea of what mastery is.
00:39:53
Speaker
Because I think that in this day and age when there's so much information, there's so many books to read, there's so many courses to take, it's like we just want the information and we want to go to the next thing.
00:40:03
Speaker
And for me, what I really try to do is I'm like, how do I master this information?
00:40:09
Speaker
I don't want new information until I master this information.
00:40:12
Speaker
Like, I want to sit with this.
00:40:15
Speaker
I want to master it.
00:40:16
Speaker
And I think that there's not one right way for anything to change.
00:40:21
Speaker
But I think that, you know, back to, I think we were talking about this before we started recording.
00:40:25
Speaker
It's like, we have to have integrated masculine and feminine energy.
00:40:29
Speaker
That feminine energy is that more
00:40:32
Speaker
intuitive flow receiving the downloads like the getting the information right that can be more of like the feminine energy but the masculine energy is the taking action on it and i think that truly the reason i am where i am and i have
00:40:47
Speaker
so many things that I have thought or got downloaded into my mind is because I have a very strong masculine.
00:40:53
Speaker
And I think people shy away from masculine these days because they sometimes think, you know, it's all about feeling good and receiving and just get downloads and just like follow the path of least resistance.
00:41:05
Speaker
But it's not always that.
00:41:06
Speaker
Like sometimes your highest timeline is actually the path of most resistance.
00:41:11
Speaker
And I really want people to hear that.
00:41:12
Speaker
Like
00:41:13
Speaker
Sometimes your highest timeline is going to be the hardest in the moment, but the most fulfilling at the end.
00:41:18
Speaker
And so I think that whatever you're going through, whatever you're trying to master, ask yourself, like, what would it look like to master this?
00:41:27
Speaker
Let's say you're building self-trust.
00:41:29
Speaker
What would it look like to master self-trust?
00:41:32
Speaker
Maybe for three freaking months, you need to be hyper-disciplined.
00:41:37
Speaker
And then it will, you know, the pendulum will swing back in the middle.
00:41:39
Speaker
But like,
00:41:40
Speaker
Mastery is a, I don't know, it's like a forgotten art.
00:41:45
Speaker
Why did we forget to really sit with things and master them?
00:41:48
Speaker
That's the ultimate thing that all relationships are missing.
00:41:51
Speaker
It's mastery.
00:41:52
Speaker
We don't master ourselves, therefore we can't master the relationship that we want to be in.
00:41:56
Speaker
So if I don't love myself the way I need to, I cannot expect you to do it if we're in an partnership.
00:42:02
Speaker
Exactly.
00:42:04
Speaker
I think when people get into bondage or get into buying in a relationship, they're having all these expectations, but no one knows who they are.
00:42:11
Speaker
They don't have the divine master and the divine feminine to be a divine union is even distorted, wounded, or toxic, right?
00:42:18
Speaker
Because we have forgotten mastery.
00:42:21
Speaker
How do we master oneself?
00:42:23
Speaker
How do we master this thing that's sitting in front of?
00:42:25
Speaker
These patterns keep coming up.
00:42:27
Speaker
And I think the truth is that most of us are afraid of our power.
00:42:32
Speaker
Right?
00:42:32
Speaker
Yeah.
00:42:33
Speaker
That's all the time.
00:42:34
Speaker
What are you afraid to tell the truth?
00:42:36
Speaker
You're afraid you're going to hurt someone's feelings?
00:42:38
Speaker
Maybe their feelings need to hurt you.
00:42:40
Speaker
Maybe they need to be healed from your truth because you've been a people pleaser all your life.
00:42:45
Speaker
You have feelings.
00:42:46
Speaker
Or maybe you need to be calm because you're always angry and abrasive.
00:42:49
Speaker
Maybe that's how you're going to heal.
00:42:51
Speaker
Yeah, right?
00:42:51
Speaker
Yeah.
00:42:52
Speaker
But it's like we shy away from the thing we need the most.
00:42:55
Speaker
It's tough, but it don't have to be.
00:42:57
Speaker
Yeah.
00:42:58
Speaker
And I think that's like, you know, where, thank God we're going is like these, what I call 5D relationships.
00:43:03
Speaker
It is these two people that come together from a place of wholeness.
00:43:07
Speaker
It's not needing, it's like not needing to be in a relationship so that you complete me, so that I feel whole, that I feel worthy, that I feel good enough, that I feel chosen.
00:43:16
Speaker
It's like, I need to learn how to do that on my own.
00:43:19
Speaker
And
00:43:20
Speaker
then I'm going to see the reflection of someone being in their wholeness too.

New Paradigms in Relationships and Emotional Openness

00:43:25
Speaker
And that's actually what divine union is, right?
00:43:27
Speaker
So I think it's beautiful that there are men like you that are leading with their heart.
00:43:33
Speaker
When I went to Joe Dispenza, I don't know if you listened to that podcast episode, I said, for the first time in my entire life, I saw what a man with an open heart looks like.
00:43:44
Speaker
The first time, you know, I thought I knew I saw all these Instagram and no offense, you know, like it just like when you see it online, it's not the same.
00:43:50
Speaker
But meeting all of these tapped in entrepreneurial men that are sitting there with themselves for seven days, hands on their heart, tears in their eyes, happy because of no one but them.
00:44:02
Speaker
I'm like,
00:44:03
Speaker
That's it.
00:44:04
Speaker
You know, I didn't know it existed, but it did.
00:44:06
Speaker
And so I think that there's a new paradigm of relationship and everybody wants it, but nobody wants to sit with themselves and all their shit and feel that wholeness without like, I
00:44:18
Speaker
I'm just going to be straight.
00:44:19
Speaker
This path to wholeness, it's not easy, right?
00:44:22
Speaker
I'm telling all the highlights and I'm just sharing as a teacher.
00:44:24
Speaker
But there's moments where I'm lonely as fuck and I'm sitting on my couch and you know what I have to do is I don't want to go inward.
00:44:33
Speaker
I don't want to go sit with my heart, but I go sit my butt down on my couch and I put my headphones in and I say, Kristen, open your freaking heart and don't get up until you feel like the most hole you've ever fell in your life.
00:44:45
Speaker
And it's those moments that I build the deepest self-trust with myself because you think that's what I want to be doing on a Tuesday night.
00:44:53
Speaker
I want to binge Netflix.
00:44:54
Speaker
I don't want to sit with my heart for an hour, but I have such a deep relationship with myself.
00:44:59
Speaker
I'm like, you will not get up until you feel whole.
00:45:04
Speaker
And I get up and I am just in bliss.
00:45:06
Speaker
I'm like, I feel happy and it's because of nothing.
00:45:09
Speaker
Nothing changed outside, but I changed.
00:45:12
Speaker
Yeah, and it's the best feeling because I realize in my awakening and my awareness and my growth, I've noticed my language with women if I'm dating someone, if I'm saying I want to see them.
00:45:22
Speaker
The person who's not whole and complete and authentic, who don't want to show his feminine side of what he wants, he says, oh,
00:45:30
Speaker
What you doing?
00:45:31
Speaker
What you doing tomorrow?
00:45:32
Speaker
You know, like beat around a bush instead of saying, hey, I would love to see you tomorrow.
00:45:36
Speaker
I miss hugging you.
00:45:37
Speaker
Can we set time to get together?
00:45:39
Speaker
You see, it's a different energy.
00:45:41
Speaker
I'm only like, look, I want some affection from your energy.
00:45:44
Speaker
I want to hold you.
00:45:45
Speaker
Can we meet up instead of, hey, I think we should hang out.
00:45:48
Speaker
You think you're free?
00:45:49
Speaker
Like, what are you saying, bro?
00:45:50
Speaker
When men can kind of fall more into the, you know, divine feminine trust with their feeling,
00:45:56
Speaker
And like, listen, Kristen, I don't really know how to receive or ask for help.
00:46:00
Speaker
So that's why I don't never ask because I'm afraid I'm going to get hurt.
00:46:03
Speaker
Oh, really?
00:46:04
Speaker
I didn't know that.
00:46:04
Speaker
Instead of me acting like I don't need anything where I need everything.
00:46:08
Speaker
Sure.
00:46:09
Speaker
And what I loved about what you said in your example is when you're beating around the bush, it's coming from a place of lack.
00:46:15
Speaker
You're like, I want to see you, but I don't want to feel rejected if you don't want to see me too.
00:46:20
Speaker
That's the underlying message, right?
00:46:22
Speaker
Whereas if you just ask for what you want, it's coming from this place of sovereignty where you're like, hey,
00:46:28
Speaker
You're what I want.
00:46:29
Speaker
And if you don't feel like this is in alignment for you, I'm still going to be okay.
00:46:34
Speaker
I'm not scared of the rejection because I feel whole already, like nothing outside.
00:46:38
Speaker
Right?
00:46:38
Speaker
You might, we're human.
00:46:39
Speaker
We might feel a little bit rejection or sad that it didn't work out, but you keep going.
00:46:43
Speaker
Like everyone is just going to keep going and we move on.
00:46:47
Speaker
Yeah.
00:46:47
Speaker
And I tell people all the time, I say, you can't change my feelings about you with me because of what you did.
00:46:52
Speaker
Your behavior don't change my feelings.
00:46:54
Speaker
I'm going to still love you regardless because I see where you at.
00:46:56
Speaker
Now, I might not tolerate that, but I still love you.
00:46:59
Speaker
It wasn't bad in the moment.
00:47:01
Speaker
We can't go to the next phase, but guess what?
00:47:03
Speaker
Thank you for holding space in the time you did.
00:47:04
Speaker
Because I feel like when people have separation or breakup, it's always the bad stuff.
00:47:10
Speaker
But I can't remember the good things.
00:47:11
Speaker
Yeah.
00:47:12
Speaker
And be honest about it.
00:47:13
Speaker
Like that contrast or that challenge, challenge you to change so you can be where you are today.
00:47:18
Speaker
But it's all love.
00:47:20
Speaker
And I think that's what we all want and that's what we all need.
00:47:22
Speaker
But we got to be truly authentic about how we feel, especially as men.
00:47:26
Speaker
We'd never say how we feel.
00:47:27
Speaker
Oh, you can never cry.
00:47:29
Speaker
Never just like, bro, like babies cry every day.
00:47:32
Speaker
They authentic.
00:47:33
Speaker
They're not holding their tears in.
00:47:35
Speaker
Yeah.
00:47:35
Speaker
And if you have a divine feminine woman, like who's done her work, they don't want this like shell of a man.
00:47:41
Speaker
Like we're all human.
00:47:42
Speaker
We all have emotions, right?
00:47:44
Speaker
That's how we feel connected is sharing emotions.
00:47:46
Speaker
And so I think it's beautiful that you're opening your heart and you're going deeper on your journey.
00:47:51
Speaker
Like, seriously, I'm so proud of you.
00:47:53
Speaker
I'm so proud of your soul.
00:47:54
Speaker
And
00:47:55
Speaker
I'm so happy that you have such a beautiful platform because I hope that it becomes the norm that men look at you and they're like, that's the cool thing, right?
00:48:04
Speaker
Like that's cool to have an open heart because it's not fucking cool to walk around as a shell of yourself.
00:48:10
Speaker
It's just not.
00:48:11
Speaker
Yeah, it's not.
00:48:12
Speaker
You can't really feel love and you can't really have deep, real combos with women because they want to feel, they want to heal, they want to know, they want to grow.
00:48:21
Speaker
But if you're acting like you're good, they can be like, oh, he's fine.
00:48:23
Speaker
He doesn't need anything.
00:48:24
Speaker
Because that was always the story with me.
00:48:26
Speaker
I don't know what you want.
00:48:27
Speaker
You didn't ask for anything.
00:48:28
Speaker
Because I didn't know how to ask for help.
00:48:31
Speaker
Something as small as not knowing how to ask for help.
00:48:32
Speaker
I couldn't receive love from a woman.
00:48:35
Speaker
Right.
00:48:35
Speaker
So I blocked everything where I could have been.
00:48:39
Speaker
Right.
00:48:41
Speaker
So guess who I have as clients?
00:48:42
Speaker
Women.
00:48:43
Speaker
Guess who will help me?
00:48:44
Speaker
Their energy helps me help them.
00:48:47
Speaker
It's crazy, but it makes sense because it's all divine.
00:48:50
Speaker
It's all aligned.
00:48:51
Speaker
I love that you said that.
00:48:52
Speaker
And like, Eve, there's so many reflections that I'm looking at in my past relationships where it's like the guys that I was with, they had no needs.
00:48:59
Speaker
You think that they really had no needs?
00:49:01
Speaker
Like they never asked me for anything.
00:49:03
Speaker
And it's like, no, they just had a closed heart and didn't know how to tap into that.
00:49:07
Speaker
And so it's...
00:49:10
Speaker
so important for us to be having these dialogues, man to woman, you know, divine feminine to divine masculine, because it really, we need each other to grow, not like me and you, but we need relationships.
00:49:22
Speaker
Like we all grow through relationships.
00:49:25
Speaker
We didn't come on this incarnation to just be alone.
00:49:28
Speaker
We came to learn through mirrors.
00:49:30
Speaker
And unfortunately, relationships are the hardest mirrors, but they're also the place where your soul gains the most wisdom and depth and texture.
00:49:40
Speaker
Kristen, this was beautiful.
00:49:42
Speaker
Thank you so much for your authenticity, your wisdom, substance.
00:49:45
Speaker
Oh, it's nothing like saying a woman with substance.
00:49:47
Speaker
Yes.
00:49:49
Speaker
Universe, show me more women with substance.
00:49:51
Speaker
We love having these deep dive and conversations.
00:49:54
Speaker
However, how can we get connected to you?
00:49:57
Speaker
How can somebody wants to work with you?
00:49:59
Speaker
Do you have meditation?
00:50:01
Speaker
Do you have a league magic?
00:50:03
Speaker
We want to be a part of your world because you got it, you give it, you are it.
00:50:08
Speaker
I just love what you do because you show up so raw.
00:50:10
Speaker
And I'm like, I love that.
00:50:12
Speaker
You're so you that it's easy to be in your energy because you don't got no BS with what you're bringing.
00:50:18
Speaker
You're coming clear, direct, and like, this is who I am.
00:50:21
Speaker
Yeah.
00:50:22
Speaker
Thank you so much.
00:50:23
Speaker
It was a practice.
00:50:24
Speaker
So I'm really excited.
00:50:25
Speaker
And I'm going to reflect that right back to you.
00:50:28
Speaker
Like I've said, I know I just met you, but I'm just so proud of you for being your full authentic self on your path.
