Speaker: These short excerpts will give you a straight answer from our podcast expert on a specific question or topic related to podcasting or podcast management.

Speaker: So sit back and expect to learn in 10 minutes or less.

Speaker: Okay, there's a never-ending question about audio quality.

Speaker: Do you think audio quality matters?

Speaker: Sige, ito yan.

Speaker: Itong point ko dyan.

Speaker: And this is my own opinion.

Speaker: Tatanungin muna kita, pag nanonood ka ba ng YouTube, pag mahangin yung audio, tinutuloy mo pa?

Speaker: Depende kung gaano kalakas yung hangin.

Speaker: Pwede ba, nasa outdoors and then mahangin yung, mahangin yung, what's up guys, welcome to my blogtops.

Speaker: It really affects, I think.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Kasi audio is 50% of the video.

Speaker: Because even how good the production quality is, if you're a bad audio, you can just swipe it.

Speaker: You can swipe it.

Speaker: It's on YouTube.

Speaker: How are we, podcasters?

Speaker: We don't have audio.

Speaker: We don't have video.

Speaker: Especially the audio only, the purists that are called audio only.

Speaker: How do you convey your message if it's sad to be audio quality?

Speaker: Right?

Speaker: So, for example, this is not me, but just an example.

Speaker: The podcast is discussing about relationship.

Speaker: Relationship is the topic.

Speaker: Kasi yun yung sikat, yun yung madami, di ba?

Speaker: Yung isang podcast, ang topic is about ghosting.

Speaker: So yan, nalala ko yung last year, ang daming relationship topics about ghosting.

Speaker: So, pag pinakinggan mo yung isa, tapos medyo hindi maganda, lipat ka.

Speaker: Sayang.

Speaker: Sayang yung opportunity na mapakinggan yung episode mo kung mag-switch lang or lilipat lang yung listener.

Speaker: So, audio quality, though at first it's not that important, especially if you're starting and you don't know yet what you're doing, okay lang yon.

Speaker: Pero there's always an expectation that eventually you will be improving.

Speaker: You will improve.

Speaker: Especially if you do it on a consistent basis and you research and you apply the lessons you learn while you're studying what techniques to do or editing tips that you get on a group or on YouTube or wherever, kesa sa workshop or a specific course.

Speaker: Believe me, that's what I did.

Speaker: You apply it and eventually you improve.

Speaker: Because you just practice it.

Speaker: If you do it always, the repetition

Speaker: Pag palagi mo yung ginagawa at nakuha mo na yung tamang timpla sa pakinig mo, kasi kung maganda sa pakinig mo yan, most probably maganda rin sa pakinig ng iba.

Speaker: Para wala lang naman tayo ng hearing senses.

Speaker: Malakas at mahina lang naman yan.

Speaker: So, yun.

Speaker: So, importante ang audio quality.

Speaker: In my opinion, kasi yun lang yung pinangahawakan natin sa listeners natin.

Speaker: And we are only borrowing the listeners' time.

Speaker: Kung 20 minutes man yan, kung 1 hour man yan, or long form na 3 hours, maladyo rogan, or kung siyong podcaster na naglo-long form,

Speaker: we just have to borrow the time of our listeners.

Speaker: So let's ensure that if they click the link and it routes to our episodes, we give them 100% quality.

Speaker: It's not perfect, it's the editing.

Speaker: You know, there's no arms, no ass, no ass, no... We'll be able to do that.

Speaker: breathing, mga clicks, mga hiss.

Speaker: Darating tayo dun.

Speaker: And wag mong in-compare yung sarili mo sa iba.

Speaker: Kasi yung iba, most probably, yun yung trabaho nila.

Speaker: Kaya magaling sila.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Kung nagsisimula ka pa lang, ito lang yung kaya mong gawin.

Speaker: Improve mo next.

Speaker: Don't ever compare yourself to others.

Speaker: Kasi pag ginawa mo yun, you're just setting yourself to fail.

Speaker: And hindi natin gustong mangyari yun.

Speaker: So don't ever do that.

Speaker: You can improve by practice.
