Mikey Morales: All four leagues are part of this weekend. But the evidence is uneven. The challenge is deciding what it actually means. In Spain, Barcelona's 5 -0 opening win.

Mikey Morales: A match against Elche, an athletic O -side. whose 3 -1 loss against Sevilla hit a competitive performance. In England, Hole's win and Coventry's loss came in completely different game environments.

Mikey Morales: Germany gives us no leaked samples. so Continuity, new systems and European workloads matter more than reputation. And in Italy, Juventus controlled a narrow opener, while Roma's four -goal start demands restraint.

Mikey Morales: The temptation is to react to the badge, the score, or the early table here. The better question is whether the structure supports the story that markets have already priced. The Weekend Central question is simple.

Mikey Morales: Can the favorites turn territorial control into clear chances, or will the market confuse possession with dominance? We'll move through the four leagues, isolate the matches deserving deep attention, and finish with no more than three accountable positions. The objective is to understand the game, compare the reads, and with the price match, the prices and pass when either one is not strong enough.

Mikey Morales: Hey guys, welcome to the European Soccer Edge. I'm your host, Mikey Morales. And this is where the trend where we translate the weekend's most revealing European matches into tactical questions. expected game scripts, and accountable market decisions. The edge score tells us how much I trust the score analysis or the soccer analysis. The verdict tells you whether the available market prices make the analysis worth betting.

Mikey Morales: These aren't the same things here. A strong grief is still... can still be a pass when the market has already charged for it. Let's get. into the weekend and let's start with our four league weekend pulse

Mikey Morales: Okay guys. We're going to go. straight into are forward. league weekend pulls. So before isolating individual bets, let's establish what each league has actually shown us and which early assumptions still need to be challenged here.

Mikey Morales: So something that's been useful for us in... What we've seen is in La Liga, there's already been two. or i should say yeah i think it's already almost now two match full match days so we have evidence here We have some teams in the lower half like a Deportivo Alaves. Although they have four points on the table, they're showing in a lot of ways. they actually

Mikey Morales: being a pretty dominant team here. They have a 4 -1 goal differential in their first two games against a 3 -0 Getafe and a 1 -0 outcome against Rayo Vallecano. But they also... have a 33 to 14 combined shot advantage through these two matches. So they've shown that they have a defensive organization and they're able to get territorial pressure.

Mikey Morales: pressures and look It looks more repeatable in than this team than maybe other teams in the mid tables or expected to be in the mid tables already. So some scores that we... we Sorry. not we're going to try not to exaggerate on is one that I said in the intro athletic club.

Mikey Morales: Losing to Sevilla 3 -1 in their first home match against in in this La Liga season. And in the first 11th match, there was a Yuri Berichichi red card that really changed the tide of this match.

Mikey Morales: it And so much so that the... again the outcome three to one it showed how much it changed the match But even if that... was the case athletic clubs still produced a 1 .20 watt 1 .25 xg eight shots on target and 10 corners So...

Mikey Morales: We have to not let the score ex exact or the outcome of 3 -1 exaggerate how just how well Athletic Club played for the position they were in. and the other side barcelona won 5 -1 against Elche, but Elche's openness.

Mikey Morales: provided a lot of space and we don't know if if athletic may also allow that as easily for Barcelona in this Thursday matchup. So. It's still too early to claim whether Barcelona will convert every territorial advantage into this and turn it into a blowout.

Mikey Morales: And it's also too early to suggest that the Athletics opening defeat proves that their overall structure is is broken. And the only early goal differences represent each team's true level here. That's not what we're going to... We're going to see. We're going to have to look at the evidence. So the question to ask ourselves into this La Liga match day is, can the strong teams convert territorial control into the central chances without exposing themselves to transition attacks? and that's

Mikey Morales: here where we see not just in la liga but in other leagues too maybe also in the Premier League, how that was some of the the troubles for... some of these more bigger teams. So something we're going to challenge here is. And it's going to be best formulated in our. European edge. game is our featured game is Barcelona. versus Athletic Club. is Barcelona 1 -5 -0. Athletic, of course, 3 -1. So another comfortable multi -goal Barcelona victory should just be the automatically the automatic decision here. We're going to challenge that notion.

Mikey Morales: Something else we saw in the Premier League here was... that in a lot of ways that 2 -0 - um, victory for whole city over man united was one that was a legitimate strength that A hole showed. They were able to ah make two goals and set pieces, hold their back four, turn into a back five when they needed to. But they were... Less dominant than maybe we.

Mikey Morales: The score suggests. Holt protected that center and accepted low -value shots and crosses as well.

Mikey Morales: Coventry Cities is a team, also promoted team, kind of looking into... Wanting to make... make a ah stand into this beginning match day of the Premier League by winning against Hull City. They lost. They had an unfortunate start into this the season by going up against Arsenal, the reigning champions on opening the opening day of the Premier League, and lost and just got... destroyed 3 -0 against Arsenal which everybody expected but they also got their foot out on the ground by winning in a 4 -2 score and they they also exposed defensive volatility in that game

Mikey Morales: Ipswich have already shown that promoted teams can press and attack transitions rather than simply retreat. and again that's part of it one of the questions we're asking here too So some restraint to put on some scores is that. We're going to just say that because both whole goals came through set pieces now that they're the set piece kings. Something that also is in this 2 -0 victory doesn't prove that the they possess a repeatable high output attack.

Mikey Morales: It shows that they were able to perform well against... manchester united at home and to to that degree maybe there is a home favoritism here but they're not going to play at home against coventry coventry got destroyed three to zero against arsenal a away

Mikey Morales: So what's still too early to claim coming into this match day or match week for the Premier League is that the holes back five has permanently corrected last season's poor defensive underlying numbers. And that because Manchester United lost to Hull City, that now they have to produce a convincing response against ah the team that they play against at Old Trafford.

Mikey Morales: Something that we're going to question in this, a main question we're going to have in this Premier League match days, is which favorites can turn possession into clear chances against compact or transition oriented opponents? Because possession and dominance are two different things. And I think that's going to be best ah tested in Coventry City versus Hull City this match day. Something we're going to challenge against, a market assumption we're going to challenge, is that holes of victory and Coventry's defeat provide an accurate comparison of their current quality.

Mikey Morales: We don't know that yet. We have to see both a couple games to begin with, but also that home and away performance. ah rounded up. And speaking of rounding up. We're coming into the Bundesliga with really our hands up.

Mikey Morales: We don't know what this is gonna look like we have maybe close to no evidence compared to the other three leagues Yep. Continuity is something that really right now in these four leagues.

Mikey Morales: like a gem. to all of these teams. Freiburg possessed the clearest stable home identity among the radar candidates that we're going to go through. They're going up against a Verda Bremman who have ah a lot of turnovers and a lot of they also have a lot of.

Mikey Morales: Change there have a new striker in in full crook who he's had a lot of rough years since his time at Dortmund. We don't know what's going to happen with this matchup here. But we do have for Freiburg a Thursday match against Motherwall in a conference league qualifying, a qualifier match. That is going to be helpful ah data for our Sunday, before our Sunday matchup between the two.

Mikey Morales: Some things to... identify too is Leipzig they have a new system a new coach a lot of people are pegging them to be a bottom middle to bottom tier team and But they show a lot of ah upside in their aggression in this Red Bull kind of mindset of being very aggressive in this new system. so I'm excited to see what this looks like for them. Um, one thing that we can

Mikey Morales: for sure try to ask is is the structure continuity going to beat freshness and new individual talents and that's going to be well um addressed in the best test of Freiburg and Werder Bremen, which will be one of our supporting feet match day or edge match. um games that we're going to go through Something that the market assumptions are maybe saying that we're going to try to challenge is that because.

Mikey Morales: our familiar profiles and upgraded personnel that they should immediately produce open matches. we saw in the Bundesliga last year. a upside on overs There's many games that ended in a 3 -3 outscore. ah like score. um We don't know that yet if that's still going to happen.

Mikey Morales: It's still too early early to claim that new managers have already installed a functional system or that last season's high scoring Bundesliga profile should transfer unchanged. We don't know that yet.

Mikey Morales: and So that's the questions we're going to be coming into this. this match day. And now we have also in Syria that. The Serie A, we have now one match day. So there's some... helpful performances we saw juventus winning 1 -0 against a promoted team in frosinone and the final score being 1 -0 looked narrow on paper but juve's issue was was really just finishing

Mikey Morales: but they did gain a lot of access to dangerous positions. And with Spellatelli's 4 -2 -3 -1, they were able to use Locatelli and Douglas Luiz to really control possession and recover second balls there. They had a 1 .99 XG while conceding only 0 .5 or 45 XG against Frosinone. Yes, this is a newly promoted team, but this is... a Pretty good outcome for Juventus. I don't want the the sportsbook to just see 1 -0 outcome and say that it was a close match. when it it really wasn't.

Mikey Morales: And speaking of... of not close matches. Rama. for... Against. ah very very lackluster Fiorentina 0.

Mikey Morales: The fluid attack. And you should watch the highlights of this game of ah Malin to Dybala. Dybala back to Malin. This connection here was beautiful.

Mikey Morales: We don't know yet if that was... Dybala and Malin. Or Roma's Gasparini's. tactical advantage Or if it was just a Fiorentina that's coming through transition. Yes, they got Mastantoano from Real Madrid for on loan. But.

Mikey Morales: There. it Looks like ah're losing one of their best players players and keen ah And it's not that he's leaving because he's got more money in Como.

Mikey Morales: But it looks like he's leaving because this is... Looks like a team that's going to be in relegation territory. We don't know that for sure. But it looks like that right now. Yeah.

Mikey Morales: So something that we can... kind of question coming into this uh syria match day is can the leading teams control their opponent's scoring routes even when their own attacking execution remains imperfect these are teams that are learning to to adjust come back into the syria and come back into competitive football Or I should say soccer, because this is the European soccer edge.

Mikey Morales: We saw Monza in... Yeah. and enter in the first match day of the Serie A, first game of the first match day of Serie A. to have a 1 -1 halftime score.

Mikey Morales: there was a scare there for a lot of inter fans but in a lot of ways it was what did show that that attacking execution was imperfect to start off the season or to start off the first half. but They really pulled through at the end by... kind of again exercising okay like okay like we it takes the time to to get our bearings so something that we're gonna

Mikey Morales: A market assumption that we're going to challenge is the idea that supporting Juventus requires playing an expansive money line or asking them to win by multiple goals. We don't know that yet.

Mikey Morales: And we're going to put a lot of these questions to the test by having ah a leading team that's more known in Juventus, Rishis Barma, who's a team that doesn't.

Mikey Morales: It doesn't really. show that they can score yet. So something we're connecting here in our all cross -league connection before we get into our first featured match. is In a lot of ways, there's a...

Mikey Morales: Strong evidence for La Liga? There's several teams already have that have had multiple competitive performances to compare. Alaves and Villarreal have supplied evidence across different opponents and scoring states. so these are This is a league that we're able to now get some some strengths and some awareness of what... the taste of the 2026 to 2020 Steven's going to look.

Mikey Morales: 2017 is going to look like for La Liga. And we can't say that again for Bundesliga. We need Out of all these four leagues, the most... humility. Match day one is going to provide no leaks provides no leak samples for us. to start off, but it is going to give us some samples for match day two.

Mikey Morales: So several teams are going to enter this with new managers. rebuilding new units and having on uncertain preparations coming into this first match day. two matches that that that's gonna do in a lot of ways the same i tests in different leagues is barcelona versus athletic club basking if Can overwhelming attacking quality produce two goal margins while controlling athletics transition? And also very similarly, can Coventry in the whole city, can a home a favorite?

Mikey Morales: turn territorial possession into central chances against a compact back five in a of a whole city. So central question to carry through. The episode is, can the favorites convert territorial control into clear central chances? Or will the market confuse possession with actual dominance here?

Mikey Morales: So no match really. Yeah, I would say no match expresses that tension more clearly than Barcelona against Athletic Club. The obvious story here is that Barca won 5 -0 against Elche in their first game away from home. and athletic at home lost 3 -1 against Sevilla, and another comfortable Barcelona victory should follow.

Mikey Morales: But... The Edge is going to question whether Barcelona's right -sided mismatch is strong enough to overcome athletics better than the score performance, transition speed and set -piece threat, and whether the current handicap still leaves enough room to act on that answer.

Mikey Morales: So let's go into our featured edge match in Barcelona versus the Athletic Club. and some central questions already off the bat. is that we've already established here is...

Mikey Morales: One Barcelona will they win comfortably against? Athletic Club. A matchup we're going to be looking at is Adama. Booyah! Bwirey? Boiru.

Mikey Morales: Um, versus La Minimal. As we saw in the first match day or first match of. um for barcelona let me know ma is Easy.

Mikey Morales: Isolated there and he showed in the lg game that Not just his age by his beard that he promised in... when he he won the world cup that he would grow but also showed that he's a human he's 19 he's had a lot of legs on those a lot of miles on those legs at just 19 and he looks tired he looks like he needs rest We also see here that.

Mikey Morales: Again, Athletic Club 1 .25. xg eight shots on target ten corners severe only having a 0 .41 xg While having one extra man it shows that athletic may be stronger than this opening result really suggests.

Mikey Morales: But... Also... Something to be aware of and to identify is that Yuri's suspension, it creates a a matchup specific weakness. And what I mean by that is Athletic Club is a specific team.

Mikey Morales: with specific rules of Who were... are allowed in their team. If they can... um They have the rule where they only have teams from the Basque region and that can play for athletic club. And so when a man goes down and gets a red card or somebody's recovering from the World Cup. um um just Exhaustion in Emerick Laporte.

Mikey Morales: It asks the question, do we have enough people to fill these spots? So some strong narrative tension coming into this is athletics underlying performance. argues against overreacting but also that athletic lack of of personnel depth. may also be a contributing factor of this idea that Barcelona are going to have a multi -goal dominance here.

Mikey Morales: So again, when we're looking at edge matches. We're going to be looking at. the acronym of what is edge. So edge stands for. the environment.

Mikey Morales: The dynamic, game dynamic. and the G game script. and again the e is for our expectations of the game So let's look in our environment. This is the first game. officially first home opening game. forth.

Mikey Morales: ah Barcelona in the new Spotify camp now. It was a weird year last year where they were playing some games to start the season in different parts of the academy stadiums, and it was very low capacity. But this is the first time that. The season's going to start. at home for Barcelona. And by home, I mean...

Mikey Morales: at the camp now. at the real home. So... When we look at some of these... outcomes.

Mikey Morales: So when we look at this Home advantage. We see first that. the last two home games again wasn't at the spotify camp now But.

Mikey Morales: Barcelona had won 4 -0 5 -0 home victories last season against... ah ah like against Athletic. Now, we don't know exactly who's going to be playing in some of these. in these games for both teams.

Mikey Morales: ah The rumor is Rodri is going to be playing this game. But we don't know again. who's going to be like ready for athletic club. um Again. It looks like Gavi will be out. Of course, Frankie DeYoung will be out for some time now. And so that's something to keep in mind.

Mikey Morales: to Part of the rest and preparation of their environment is that Barcelona plays on... They played on Sunday, so they have the shorter turnaround. athletic ah club played on Saturday, and they received one additional recovery time.

Mikey Morales: Barsan. Also have to think ahead of the match day match after this one on a Monday and where they host a Rio Vallecano. So they really have. Almost. Let's see about.

Mikey Morales: four days after this to to really prepare for Rio. Athletic Club have some time, a ah day extra where they play against Celta Vega. She sold the vehicle. All right. I think I believe at home.

Mikey Morales: So... Something to identify is just the the current evidence of... the performances because I think that is helpful. Because that's all we can go off of so far. One in Barcelona, the first match game, and then as as well as Athletic Club.

Mikey Morales: So they had a 4 .13 XG. created eight big chances, registered seven shots on target. and also created two ah created the second goal through pressing and very good pressing when Anthony Gordon showed up.

Mikey Morales: Athletics. performance again They. played really well after they had gotten the red card. Who knows how the outcome would have been if they didn't get it because they performed lights out when they were going down a man. It's almost they like. Push them to play better.

Mikey Morales: Um, So what we shouldn't... What should not be overlooked here is that Barson alone is 5 -0. does not guarantee another blowout gain against stronger opponents.

Mikey Morales: but also Athletics Club. Athletic Club defeat does not prove that its overall defense structure is poor as well. So we already confirmed that Frankie d Young will be out for some months. Gavi will be out for this game. I'm glad to say that he doesn't. It's more of a bruise from um when he had to leave the game against Elche. There was some worry about a severe injury because it was in his knee area where he's already had historically a ACL tear.

Mikey Morales: um Again. Unimit it, TJ. Danny. Vivienne. And when I. Eagly. igloos are all listed as unavailable one because of suspension the other two because of injury So this is an important.

Mikey Morales: Dynamic to develop developing dynamic is who's gonna replace these players and I'm about Booyoro? is expected to replace Uriel left back. He's going to be the one that's going to be.

Mikey Morales: going up against La Minamal. Gregory could add some control besides bed 3 if Flick uses him immediately. Barca could retain the fluid front line they used against Elche.

Mikey Morales: And Laporta's return would improve Athletic's organization and build up. So there's a lot of questions here. Most important role here too is athletics left. back and their left side support structure needs to be. on point, needs to be connected.

Mikey Morales: Bor - Borario? cannot be left isolated against La Minimal. Guess he looks the man looks tired. but also He's ready to show up for games like this.

Mikey Morales: Especially when you have a Nico Williams on the other side. Now, is he going to play? That's another question to ask too. So keep the wager if Luminium Alt for sure starts. barels retain most of their projected attacking structure anyways so the barcelo one um minus one five right now remains at a minus 120 or better

Mikey Morales: rees Reassess or pass if Lemming does not start. If Barcelona rotate heavily. And if the midfield's absence is create a substantial weaker lineup. The handicap moves beyond.

Mikey Morales: the handicap moves beyond 120 we pass it's an automatically pass do not Do not replace this with a handicap with over 3 .5. So something we're going to get into now is the dynamics of this game. the Tactical.

Mikey Morales: questionings of this game so the nominal 433 for barcelona it with a rafinha they don't have a number nine yet they have rafinha as the the number nine maybe you can say a false nine and some wide attackers and midfield runners interchanging around around Rafinha.

Mikey Morales: so Move. Possessions towards Lamina Mal on the right is going to be something we're going to see time and time again. we're gonna They're going to try to. identify that weakness if it is one and try to utilize that.

Mikey Morales: The means. betting beating or drawing the replacement left back here Rafinha is pulling a center back away from the defensive line And then this is where fermin Maybe Adeyemi, maybe Anthony Gordon, or another running attack.

Mikey Morales: run runner attacking the vacated spots that's created here. What we're going to see here in athletics position is they run a 4 -2 -3 -1. Sunset connects with the midfield to the forwards. Nico and Niyaki position to attack immediately after recovery is here. So something that we're going to look at.

Mikey Morales: of a primary primary progression route is if There's breaks break breaking barcelona's first press with the earliest available forward pass is going to be um Athletics.

Mikey Morales: kryptonite to barcelona releasing the william brothers behind barcelona's advanced fullbacks is going to be the key here for for athletic club So they're going to have to make fast attacks before Barcelona restore their defensive shape. And since it's receiving better between the lines, it's going to be something that's very utilized here or have to be utilized. they're goingnna They took 10 corners while being down to man. So corners and free kicks are going to be something that they're going to try to utilize.

Mikey Morales: So Barcelona, a way that they can counter. They're trying to. counteract this is by really counter pressing immediately after losing possession, carrying that pressure there. Where it doesn't have to be pressure once they come to across that line. But right from the jump. And see how they react. See if we can get another Unai Simon. If they can get another Unai Simon error there.

Mikey Morales: Because it it looks like it's not a one -off thing. He's done it a couple times. this last season, and he's done it already now in their last game. Three matchup levers to identify is one, Laminia Miles versus Adam. Adama Bauri. I need to Google that word, his last name, B -O -I -R -O.

Mikey Morales: So this is going to be a matchup that's going to be very important to identify of what's the script that we're going to be seeing. Another one is Barcelona's false nine movement versus Atletico's center backs. So Rafinha can drag a defender away from the back line. Following him creates space from runners behind, which we saw in that match kind of really show up for. Barcelona at the second half.

Mikey Morales: and it allowed anthony gordon to make some beautiful touch passes And another thing that's a match level. lever forward. for Barcelona is the Barcelona's counter press versus athletic. transition speed.

Mikey Morales: Barcelona really benefits if they stop the the first forward pass. Athletic become very dangerous once the Gnocchi brothers receive behind the fullbacks. So this match term is determined whether Barcelona sustain pressure or repeatedly defend open spaces.

Mikey Morales: So some player role hinges is if Rafinha operates as a false nine, which I think will happen right and so we're gonna identify some destroying matchups here too because we once we have a script we have to be able to identify not just straw manning the opposite of That's a fact. But something to watch up. just ta Game dynamic -wise, it's as if the Gnocchi brothers attack behind Barcelona's advanced fullbacks.

Mikey Morales: Something that Athletico... need is they only need one successful transition or set piece to threaten the two -goal handicap that we're we're alluding to. An early athletic goal creates a realistic 2 -1 Barcelona pathway that wins the match but loses the wager.

Mikey Morales: So the game script which I think is is very important for us is in these first 15 to 20 minutes ah We're going to see. is maybe possession and territory where Barcelona established territorial control in these first 15 to 20 minutes.

Mikey Morales: or Are we going to see Barcelona attacking through Lamine's side? where he notices the disadvantage and he's now able to utilize it. Athletics search for the Nyaki brothers immediately after they regain it. Is that going to be something that... show strength or if it shows maybe some weakness of getting them the ball. and what they do with it Athletic secondary route comes through.

Mikey Morales: corners and free kicks this is something that we have to is like a likely chance if we start to see this. So tempo is a really big part of what we see in our 15 minutes. Is it controlled by Barcelona until Athletic escape the press? Potentially very quick after turnover.

Mikey Morales: So. some things that will confirm our live signals is if we see let me repeatedly receive isolated ah time. Um, Balls against. Boairo. Barcelona recovering possession inside athletics half. That's going to be something that we're going to. be looking at as well as athletics midfield drops wrapping deeply that sunset becomes disconnected

Mikey Morales: Barcelona is producing at least five penalty area entries in the opening 20 months. minutes is going to be confirmation for this thesis. So things that might break this is Athletic it consistently releasing the Yankees brothers behind the fullbacks. Barcelona's false nine rotation producing positions without box entries.

Mikey Morales: right Because then it's in the first 20 minutes, we're not seeing that invasion there through the midfield in the box entries. And if we don't if we see athletic generating several early corners or dangerous set pieces.

Mikey Morales: The last one is if Barca reached 30 minutes at zero. to zero without. creating clear chances. so something that we can see in our script is bar if bars to score first They are strong favors for this handicap. because athletic must they all have to eventually advance into the midfield. An additional space appears for Barcelona's runners and substitutes, and it's going to open the gap even stronger.

Mikey Morales: Now with Atletico's score first, Barcelona's minus one and a half becomes very harder. It becomes very hard Athletic can protect the midfield and preserve William Brothers as transition outlets. So the live total may become more attractive than the handicap.

Mikey Morales: If it's level after 30 minutes, Barca can still reach that 2 -0 or 3 -0 advantage. So the margin of error decreases. bethletic gain confidence in their compact structure in this 30 minute time. So some scores clusters that we can't see, but I think that most likely is Barca 3 -1. We can see is even barcelo at three zero Barcelona Barcelona 2 -0.

Mikey Morales: And maybe an Altair script deserving respect can be at Barcelona two to one after athletic. Converting Transition. a transition or a set piece So last but not least in our featured edge.

Mikey Morales: Um, Match is our expectations. so this is what market is telling us and this arguably is gonna it's the the anchor the caboose to our edge framework because it's showing us are we going to be not just seeing the edge analysis as something that's on our side but also is the market over pricing things

Mikey Morales: So we have Barcelona at a minus one and a half at approximately 105. The related market is over 3 .5 at approximately. approximately a plus 125 with the lean of a one plus a plus 115 or better.

Mikey Morales: So something to avoid is Barcelona's money line. Right now it's at around a three. minus 310, which is way too expensive to rewind. To rewind, simply identifying the likely winner.

Mikey Morales: So some price logic to identify here is that the market implied reference at a minus 105 makes it approximately approximately a 51 .2 percent Now estimated Barcelona's estimated probability on my margin is about a 56%. four of minus one.

Mikey Morales: 0 .5 probability ah Estimated fair price here I have is approximately a minus 127 before accounting for uncertainty. So our projected goal here is Barcelona. 2 .7.

Mikey Morales: And. ah to a 0 .9 athletic. XG. The projected margin here we have is approximately 1 .8 goals. So why the numbers differ? Athletic's underlying performance against Sevilla was better than its final score. The market may not fully separate that overall competitiveness from the specific left -back mismatch.

Mikey Morales: Barcelona's short rest and midfield availability can create legitimate uncertainty for this. the athletic midfield as well. And Yuri's suspension in Barcelona's attacking depth still make a multi -goal result more likely than the research price really suggests. So price boundary I put here is playing through a minus one and a half at at least a 120.

Mikey Morales: reduce stake range. Already. limited to a half a unit here but right here we're going to pass ah We see anything worse than a minus 120. So something you can make as a counter argument, because again, we don't want a straw man when we look at these. And. factors or these edge scores analysis. We don't want to straw man the other side. So I want to make sure I look at the other side and the other argument. Athletic were highly.

Mikey Morales: They were highly competitive against Sevilla, despite playing with only 10 men. Nico Williams and Laporte potentially return to the starting lineup here and in a very important match for Athletic Club. Athletic possess enough transition speed and aerial quality to score once. So Barcelona are on the short rest and remain without De Jong, Gavi.

Mikey Morales: While Rodri's possible debut introduces a different kind of midfield eternity, one that didn't. necessarily work in um in the world cup with pedri in oradri so it's going to take some time to get See you.

Mikey Morales: for them to get used to each other and to make every gear work. for the same direction, and that direction is winning. So the counterarguments become decisive if Levine does not start.

Mikey Morales: Of course. which we aren't 100 % sure he will. Barcelona, rotate heavily. They're having to. after this game, kind of travel to Arroyo Vallecano to play against in that great, that big red wall.

Mikey Morales: um Their midfielders lack the control required to sustain the counterpress. So for a featured verdict I have here is projected score of Barcelona 3. athletic club one with the edge score three point seven point three out of ten that's a b plus for our edge score Now.

Mikey Morales: our verdict. Bet small. Find... the market where we have at least the playable boundary of minus 120. I found a minus 105 on Fanatics as of... as of, ah I should say... as of Wednesday. And the stake I'm putting is at half a unit.

Mikey Morales: So... the availability gate is here is lamin starts and barcelona avoid heavy attacking rotation So the position is not based on athletics poor being poor because they lost 3 -1. It's based on Barcelona's ability to isolate Yemini Amal against her replacement left back and then punish that space. Athletic must eventually surrender.

Mikey Morales: Barcelona's minus one and a half remains playable only if Lemieux starts. The attacking lineups remain strong. and the price stays at minus 120 or better. From the weekend's deepest tactical case, we move to Coventry. against Coventry City against Hull City. The two promoted teams. The league scorelines invite an easy comparison here. But Tuesday's Cup ties add a second layer.

Mikey Morales: are we pricing the team's actual structure or more or merely can Coventry's 3 -0 loss and Hull City's 2 -0 win. So we're going now. into our supporting edge report.

Mikey Morales: We can call this the supporting edge report. A. So. coventry city versus whole city this match is going to be played on Saturday, August 29th at 10 a .m. Eastern Standard Time at Coventry's Building City Arena.

Mikey Morales: or building society arena, I should say. Some obvious reads here is that Coventry should respond at home after losing 3 -0 to Arsenal, while Hull City's 2 -0 victory over Manchester United really suggests that they may be more a more Premier League -ready team.

Mikey Morales: But the better question here is, can Coventry break Hull City's compact 5 -4 -1 without Haji Wright, or will territorial control produce more crosses, corners, or low -quality shots?

Mikey Morales: So the cleanest market expression here is in under two and a half goals at a plus 100 and playable through a minus 105. We're going to look at environment.

Mikey Morales: Coventry is Coventry's first Premier League home match in nearly 25 years. If we're thinking about this, it's. in a lot of ways We can compare it to.

Mikey Morales: A rocky story. And. What I mean by that is that this Coventry City is a team that. was playing in the league too. they climbed three divisions and finally bought its own stadium.

Mikey Morales: So Saturday isn't just Coventry versus Hull. It's Coventry against 9 ,230. three days of waiting if we think about this a supporter who had played the match the last or When they...

Mikey Morales: When Coventry played the last Premier League home game away, it was a 0 -0 draw against Bradford City. So a supporter born after that time. that Bradford match could have now be 25 years old. Coffin Tree. Also, The...

Mikey Morales: To give it a comparison, too, is that CBS Arena existed for 21 years without hosting a Coventry Premier League match. So they are ready for this match.

Mikey Morales: They are going to be at the. Oh, wow. Maybe the loudest the stadium has ever been. emotional crowds should encourage country to attack but also it creates an important uh and impatience here.

Mikey Morales: Will... Coventry fans get. a little anxious and a little antsy if a low -scoring game happens. you know Will the Coventry team really kind of try to... Hold a tight line.

Mikey Morales: Both teams played well in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday and received four recovery days. So Coventry faced the more demanding trip to Plymouth and used several likely weekend contributors. But Hull City on the other side made 11 changes and played Stoke City, so their first choice group should carry less midweek fatigue.

Mikey Morales: Something to... to keep in mind is that Coventry's 3 -0 loss, again, I can't. Say this enough, it was against the defending champions in Arsenal. which this says a little little about this home favorite assignment here whole cities like On the other hand, Hull City's two goals against Manchester United both came from set pieces.

Mikey Morales: But they also conceded 21 shots and 1 .83xg despite the clean sheet. So let's not mistake this dominance from Hull City. It was a really great performance. happened in the first half, and they were able to hold that line.

Mikey Morales: So it's going to be helpful to when we think about the other two and a half goals. So with the update, we saw that Coventry beat Plymouth 4 -2 after leading 2 -0 inside the first five minutes and then surrendering that lead. Hull drew 1 -1 at Stoke before advancing on penalties with a fully charged change starting lineup.

Mikey Morales: The Coventry result adds attacking confidence, but also really warns us against treating the under as a low risk position. Hold results tell us a little bit about their league. the likely league back five.

Mikey Morales: So... Availability hinge is Coventry remain without 17 goal striker. How's she right? That's an important factor to keep in mind. Where's the goals going to come from? They did sign a T. I will, uh, when he. wunyi and alice sims as the central ford options here But Efren Mason -Clark returned from a hamstring issue and scored off the bench at at the Plymouth games. This adds another attacking option. Which doesn't look necessarily good for our line. So the whole defense just sent me.

Mikey Morales: Samia Ajayi, Nobel, Mendy, and Lil Coil still require final confirmations. although holes first choice 11 were rested at stoke so that's a good sign for us Ajayi and Mendy are both unavailable, so Hull's ability to protect the mid middle becomes much less trustworthy. One exact statistic that we can also look at is Coventry led the championship with 29 non -penalty set -piece goals last season. That's the biggest statistical danger to the Sun. to this under.

Mikey Morales: So a dynamic here that we're going to look at is the the Coventry in a front. footed four two three one hold defending in a narrow five four one or you can say you can put it as a five two two one Coventry controlled possession and territory.

Mikey Morales: and whole conceded circular outs circulations outside their block while protecting central spaces So something that we're going to look at is that. home advantage For.

Mikey Morales: Coventry. Are they going to be able to? reach that byline for cutbacks for this the silva or event it would You wish you could. Avoiding repeated hopeful crosses towards three center backs is something that we... Covington is going to have to not do.

Mikey Morales: Set pieces really remain Coventry's clearest secondary route. as they were for Hull City against Manchester United. and We keep their primary out, I should say. the primary attacking route away for their weight.

Mikey Morales: aspect is. Oli mcberney this guy i love watching him play if i watch the game where they got promoted um and his he wears his heart on his sleeve and shows up every match day So...

Mikey Morales: him being a Direct passes. correcting direct passes towards him is going to be important. And again, the corner free kicks rather than prolonged possession here is going to be a key for Hull.

Mikey Morales: Something, that again, to identify as as a matchup is Conventry Central Creators against Whole Cities. back five if rudani and harmer receive facing forward coventry can create some clear chances But if whole city force Coventry -wide, possession may produce volume without quality.

Mikey Morales: That's not going to help. And but it's going to help our under two and a half, I should say. So set piece factors is a real thing. The primary threat to the under is going to be set piece factors. Hole scored both in there. of their goals and dead balls Coventry led the championship in non -penalty set piece goals so This is going to be a theme of. can set pieces not be as dangerous. So something, a game script that we're looking at is like the expected opening. We're expecting Coventry to control the ball and play primarily in holes half.

Mikey Morales: Hulse settles in into organized narrow back five. Coventry generate crosses. corners and block shots rather than immediate clear chances and he'll use passes again to make bernie the direct passes and use them as outlet but struggle to sustain possession is is the game script i'm predicting so the first goal is more likely if they're a set piece rebound or defensive error than an open transition So...

Mikey Morales: If the home team score first. The under remains viable if whole retain their structure and avoid immediately chasing. Coventry can become more patient instead of forcing the second goal here too.

Mikey Morales: So the risk increases if Hull abandoned that back five early. Await. If. If whole city score first, that's the most dangerous score state for the position. Coventry possess enough attacking depth to create prolonged second half pressure. So the crowds in. a ah like the occasion here could push Coventry towards a more aggressive shape.

Mikey Morales: So the... the the Thesis confirming signal here is that if we see holes back five remaining organized, Coventry's attack ending. ending in blocked crosses or shots from outside the box. McBurney becomes isolated and combined non -penalty XGs remain below a 0 .5 through that first 20 minutes.

Mikey Morales: Some thesis breaking signals that we don't want to see is Rudani or Hammer repeatedly receiving behind holes midfield, or Coventry consistently reaching the byline for cutbacks.

Mikey Morales: Some things that we don't want to see several dangerous corners or free kicks occurring in the first 15 minutes Got to narrow that down to a minimum. So an expectation and my verdict here is my projected score is I have Coventry winning this game 1 -0.

Mikey Morales: I can also see a world where it's a 1 -1 draw. So that projected XG I see is Coventry having somewhere between a one point. 5 and a 1 .55 xg and whole having a 0 .9 xg My ad score was a 7 .4. My verdict is a bet small and conditional.

Mikey Morales: Our market here is under two and a half goals with the stake of. A happy unit. I found out a plus 100 at fandle And the play to boundary I had was a minus 105.

Mikey Morales: So. We're looking at this. I found. I actually found this, sorry, I should say, not on FanDua, I found it Bet365. I want to say I did find it on Fando. I think that's a type on my side.

Mikey Morales: So... Something that we get we have to look at as a counter -argument. Coventry scored 97 championship goals last season. They scored four at Plymouth, and Mason Clark returned with a goal. so whole conceding 66 and carried and carried poor defensive underlying numbers isn't looking good for our under two and a half coventry possessed an elite set piece attack and depleted whole defense or an early whole goal could turn the match into sustained coventry pressure

Mikey Morales: So the deciding factor here is whether Coventry can... can turn territorial control onto central chances. If Hull can protect the midfield, the middle, and force country into crosses, the Thunder has a clear path for us. If Redoni and Hammer consistently receive behind the midfield or Hull's defensive injuries weaken the back five,

Mikey Morales: The low of events. script becomes difficult to trust. so The next report shifts from us from a favorite trying to break a low block to underlying. underdog trying to prescribe at all.

Mikey Morales: Juventus against Barma gives us different pricing questions. Is it cleaner to better? to bet against Parma's attack. than to pay for it. who is who Juventus is winning margin.

Mikey Morales: That takes us to supporting age report supporting edge report B. This is Juventus vs. Parma in Saturday's matchup on August 29th at 2 .45pm ET at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.

Mikey Morales: So. A central question that we're asking as an obvious read here is Juventus should defeat Parma's side that lost its opener and experienced major turnaround throughout its spine.

Mikey Morales: The better question here though is can Padma generate enough controlled position or transition axis to score even just once? Our cleanest market expression here is both teams to score no.

Mikey Morales: Avor juventus. a Money line at approximately a minus 475 to minus 525. Avoid Juventus, even Juventus minus one and a half at a minus 165.

Mikey Morales: Target Parma's scoring probability instead of requiring Juventus to win by multiple goals. So we look at the the environment here. It's this again.

Mikey Morales: Talked about first a lot. This is Juventus' first home league match of the season. They have a strong crowd, and territorial. territorial pressure expected here early. Both teams have a normal preparation window with no midweek or European travel. which You can say that about any Serie A match or Serie A player or team, I should say. But my strip to turn creates no meaningful travel disadvantages either.

Mikey Morales: AC Milan visit the following weekend, giving Juventus little reason to turn a controlled lead into an unnecessary open match. So that's going to be helpful for us. The most relevant.

Mikey Morales: Evidence here is Juventus beat Frosinone only 1 -0, but produced 63 % possession, 20 shots, 4 big chances, and 1 .99 xG. The problem was finishing. Again, the... It wasn't accessing the territorial control.

Mikey Morales: pills they're finishing. Parma lost 1 -0 at home. to cagliari with only 13 shots but only two on target there and the 0 .8 .9 xg Gagliari also struck the woodwork three times. So this was, it could have been easily like a 3 -0 or two even a 2 -0.

Mikey Morales: So our availability hinge here. We added this because we had a game here where we had a Como and Udinese. Both teams have scored no. And we had a player there that was going to be a big factor of our edge score. And he didn't even he wasn't even on the the game.

Mikey Morales: So this is something we notice is. is having an availability hinge. So one is yieldless foot injury. He it removes who has best creative connector if he doesn't play. it That weakens the HUVA handicap more than the clean sheet thesis.

Mikey Morales: So Colomwani remained short of peak sharpness here, and Vicario and Gatti required confirmation. Juventus added Camille Grabada on loan after sending Di Gregorio to... to Bournemouth, so any goalkeeper change would involve a newly arrived alternative, not the settled backup assumed in the original research.

Mikey Morales: Parma's new striker, El bili Bilal Torre, remained an important transition to threat, but still integrating he's still integrating into this team. So one exact statistic is Juventus conceded only 0 .45 XT against Frosinone.

Mikey Morales: Okay, we're looking at the dynamic. Juventus in Spalletti play in a 4 -2 -3 -1 with Locatelli and Douglas Luiz controlling possession and that second ball's there. Parma have a 4 -3 -3. which is likely to collapse into maybe a deeper 451.

Mikey Morales: Juventus is expected to hold approximately... a 65 possession 65 possession here they're expected to have that wide overload crosses and corners hopefully if colomoni colomoni plays occupying that the in between the two center backs.

Mikey Morales: Without yield, this Juventus can may create sustained pressure that is more repetitive than penetrative. So something we're going to look at is. In the... Way that.

Mikey Morales: Part of my play. There's a immediate vertical passes towards. toure after tone overs if we see that that's a green flag for parma if they attack the channels behind juventus advancing fullbacks and also avoid long build -ups building up sequence against juventus organized pressure We they need to give to.

Mikey Morales: Torre close support before Juventus recovered the defensive shape. So a deciive decisive here will be Luke. Locatelli and Douglas Luiz against Bodma's first transition pass. If Bodma bypassed that double pivot, Torrey's speed can really threaten that clean sheet.

Mikey Morales: So that's the worry we have. so When we think about set pieces, Juventus earned 12 corners and scored through Remmer from a corner against Fersinone. Set pieces really provide Juventus another scoring route without requiring improved open player finishing. So they reinforce Juventus' control without necessarily threatening that both teams to score a note.

Mikey Morales: What's the script here? what's what are we gonna What are we looking for? So something I expect in this game is a Juventus Having, like I said, of course, I think I have. as a 65 percent possession but also that bottom on defend with nine or ten players behind the ball I see this as parking the bus.

Mikey Morales: Juventus creating through... wide overloads, crosses, and corners, but am I looking immediately for Torre following turnovers and more Juventus territorial pressure than that end -to -end action that we kind of have been accustomed to s seeing?

Mikey Morales: so Our home team score first. If Juventus score first, this really strongly confirms our both teams to score no. Barba must advance, but may lack that build -up quality to create control chances. Juventus can manage possession rather than forcing a second or third goal here.

Mikey Morales: Now, if Parma score first. are both teams to score is effectively lost, in my opinion. Juve must increase their attack risk, and the match becomes more open for Panma. as a part of my defend as a lead and he was having to chase this game Now, our third outcome that can happen is...

Mikey Morales: If. If we think about it, it's part of my... of this the tie here. It doesn't necessarily. break our thesis.

Mikey Morales: But. And also... I guess in a sense, I should say. ah here it says for both teams to score it's that's not an option i should say Something that really confirms our signal is Padma completing more than ah fewer than three meaningful possessions in Juve's first half through that first 20 minutes. And if Torre receives with his back to goal and without close support here.

Mikey Morales: Something that... That work is going to be a good tell, too, as well. is if bottom i record no shots on target and have very few penalty area touches Something that really breaks our thesis or our signal is that if Parmaru... If Juventus 1 counter -press looks disconnected, but 2 if Torre receives facing goals behind the fullback and Padma create more dangerous transitions or box entries during that first opening 20 minutes.

Mikey Morales: So are our expectations and our verdict. Our projected score is Juventus 2. Bar Mazzaro. And our supporting score can be. One zero, maybe a three zero.

Mikey Morales: Our projected XG is Juventus having a 2 .15 XG, while Parma has a 0 .55. Our edge score we had was a 7 .4 out of 10, with our verdict being a bat.

Mikey Morales: market was both teams to score no and our stake we put was a half unit at a minus 145 for better and ah I've... 0 .25 unit from a 146 to 155. And the research price I found was FanDuel minus 134 at FanDuel. This is as of...

Mikey Morales: Tuesday that I had found this. And the price case here we have was... the market implied probability being at 57 .3%. And my model showing me more of a 62 to 63%. This is an estimated fair. price of approximately a minus 168 and that's the boundary i would set was would be a I would actually set it lower, actually. I would set the boundary as ah minus 145 for half a unit and minus 155 for a quarter unit.

Mikey Morales: Some availability gates is if we confirm that Juventus retain a credible goalkeeper and center back pairing. There's a lot of goalkeeper movement here. And so we got to know that there's some there's some consistency in who's the goalkeeper for Juventus.

Mikey Morales: If Yildiz's absence alone does not invalidate both teams to score, no. Again, we don't know if he's gonna play. It looks like he's not. but maybe he does this only helps our case if he does play if he doesn't doesn't kill it So.

Mikey Morales: Best argument against... our our bet here. parma still produces 0 .89 xg and 13 shots against uh cagliari who we're looking pretty good Torreira offers pace behind Juventus' advance. Fullback, one felt counterpriced. counter -press defensive mistake or set piece merely defeats the wager.

Mikey Morales: Juventus' personnel uncertainty can weaken their transition protection. So don't add an under 2 .5 as another official play because it's strongly correlated with both teams' score now.

Mikey Morales: The bet is only worth making if Juventus can isolate. tore Control that first pass. After the turnover and preserve a credible defensive structure. So both teams, the score now is playable for half a unit through minus one 45 at a quarter unit through. One minus 155.

Mikey Morales: If the defensive structure weakens or the price moves beyond that boundary, the correct verdict is always going to be a pass. And I'm going to suggest that it's a pass. Okay. So.

Mikey Morales: Those are the three matches receiving the deepest treatment. Now, let's widen the lens to the radar. Shorter reads from around the four leagues that give us evidence to audit on Monday without adding wagers to our official. bomb. board here.

Mikey Morales: So we have on our four -league radar analysis.

Mikey Morales: Our main, our radar one we have is in Salta Vigo. Assault of Ego versus Osasuna. Now this match is... Again, Celtic. Converted.

Mikey Morales: territorial control into clear central chances or will Osasuno's compact structure produced another match with more possession than genuine attacking quality.

Mikey Morales: Why does this game belong on the radar? This is this is research match from the post. opponent original position. The old... damage pitch argument should no longer be carried forward.

Mikey Morales: So. The current case resets on new evidence here. Limited attacking output for both teams, Osasuna's compressed schedule, and a matchup naturally suited to controlled territory and a few clean chances.

Mikey Morales: An important account but accountability lesson here is a valid original handicap does not make an old. price or old reason automatically relevant. First 20 minutes coming into this signal.

Mikey Morales: Into. this game is consult the control possession but struggle to enter the penalty area centrally Osasuna remained compact and selective about pressing and is Celta's attack and in ending crosses or shots more outside the box.

Mikey Morales: Osasuna offered little transition threat after recovery possessions. Player or role to watch here is Celta's central forward, um whether he can join Osasuna's center back.

Mikey Morales: can pin Osasuna's central backs and turn wide possessions into central penalty area touches. It's going to be an important part of it. And there's going to be any set success for SELTA. Low scoring direction now based on technical structure and schedule rather than the previously damaged pitch.

Mikey Morales: So this is not a bet here for us. So Monday audit item is. Did we the low event expectation appear for the new reason? And did Osasuna's schedule actually affect their attacking ambition or physical intensity?

Mikey Morales: Crystal Palace versus Manchester City. The main soccer question here we have is, can Man City turn territorial superiority into enough clear chances to win comfortably? Or can Palace expose the space- created spaces created by cities still developing structure?

Mikey Morales: So City deserve favoritism here. but they're still being priced. partly through reputation. Let's be honest. The new buildup. And midfield's relationships are not yet finished.

Mikey Morales: products here. They're going to maybe gain Enzo Fernandez. They are hopefully losing Nico Gonzalez. They're also gaining Abouadi, losing Omar.

Mikey Morales: uh, ah I'm forgetting on his last name. Marmoosh. And. Savino. And so this is a lot of change here. Palace's opening defeat looked worse on scoreboard than it did underneath.

Mikey Morales: So useful follow up to last weekend's question about separating the likely winner from the expected winner winning margin. is continuing here. The first thing we have to see in this these 20 20 minutes is can city consistently play through houses first pressure and does city's possession lead to central penalty area entries or mostly harmless circulations around the box

Mikey Morales: Can Palace complete the first pass? after regaining possession, and does City's counterpress immediately stop Palace's transition attempts? So a player to watch is city's first phase midfields control. Whether the...

Mikey Morales: They can receive under pressure or turn forward and protect that space behind advancing team. I'm looking at Elliot Anderson here. Can they, can he do it? Yeah. Market descent direction to monitor is is not a bet.

Mikey Morales: Palace with goal. with the gold protection is more interesting than ah opposing cities outright. So Monday audit item is, did Citi look like a settled elite structure or did they their individual quality disguise unresolved building buildup and transition problems?

Mikey Morales: Our other match we have is a Freiburg and Werder Bremen. Again, I was very close to actually putting this as a featured ah supporting. um Edge match. And one of those reasons is, again, is asking some of the central questions for. um for these four European leagues.

Mikey Morales: And then this question is, can Fryberg stable home process? process and set. Peace, strength, survive Thursday's European match. Or will Bremen rest in advance? reduce Freisberg's pressure, pressing intensity.

Mikey Morales: Strongest. Bundesliga read among the candidates here. Freiburg's possessed the most stable identity and strong home process, and Bremen entered with significant turnover in goal.

Mikey Morales: So some things we're going to... be looking at in this match is if Freiburg press with normal intensity after it's Thursday match, or does it kind of have that lag and tired legs after having a match in the middle of the week, especially on a Thursday?

Mikey Morales: And also, can Freiburg establish possession in Bremen's half and generate early set pieces? Does Bremen rebuild defensive communication? Key. defense communicate effectively under pressure?

Mikey Morales: So some players are... to watch is nicholas fulcroak again as bremen's central reference his ability to hold direct passes and occupy the central center backs and bring supporting runners into this match make bremen a A force maybe not to be reckoned with, but a force there.

Mikey Morales: So... Freiburg's side becomes interesting only if Thursday produces no important injuries here. and it has an excessive workload or obvious physical decline.

Mikey Morales: So. ah Something that we're going to identify on Monday is did European fatigue materially affect Freiburg or did their continuity and set pieces advantage outweigh Bremen's additional preparation time?

Mikey Morales: And our last radar match is Lazio versus Genoa. Genoa. Something to ask is do the opening results accurately separate these teams or did Lazio's victory flatter them while Genoa's defeat understood? understated their competitiveness.

Mikey Morales: Lazio won despite an unconvincing performance. Genoa competed even with Napoli for a long stretches despite losing that game. So fading allows you outright ask too much from one match of evidence. The cleaner observation is whether the match begins cautiously before substitutions and scores date.

Mikey Morales: increases volatility. So that's why the first 20 minutes is going to be important for this game. Do we so see? an aspect of lazio controlling possession without consistently receiving between genoa's lines If that's the case, that's going to be really helpful. genoa main compact and prevent central penalty areas is going to be also helpful for genoa too

Mikey Morales: Neither team can commit enough players forward to create open transitions. This is going to be something if we see is like, okay, this is a helpful insight of maybe those few shots on target and long stretches without dangerous box possessions. that can be a sign of of this maybe being a low scoring game some I'm... Aspect of what we should look at is Lazio central attacking connectors Whether they can receive facing forwards between Genoa's midfield and defensive line is going to be important part of this match

Mikey Morales: A low scoring first half profile is more interesting than taking a strong position on either team. Something we're going to ask on Monday is that the first half remained controlled before substitutions and game states changed that tempo, or did the opening result correctly identify a larger gap here?

Mikey Morales: So the radar gives us first for four ideas to observe, but none of them counts as an official position here. The market board is smaller and stricter. These decisions I'm willing to make accountable at the available prices.

Mikey Morales: So our first official play we had was Barcelona versus Atletico Madrid or Athletic Club. um That's going to be a great match, by the way. is if if that when that match happened with all the drama happening with julian alvarez um Our official play is Barcelona versus Athletic Club with a Barcelona at a minus one and a half. This is expecting Barcelona to have a two goal advantage.

Mikey Morales: This is going to come with a half unit. uh steak We research priced it at ah a minus 105, which we found on Fanatics. And the boundary that we found was... ah at least a minus 120.

Mikey Morales: something that's going to be a availability gaze is for sure if lamina yamal starts but also Barcelona retaining that strong attacking lineup that they did from last week. So think Barcelona.

Mikey Morales: Something that's helpful to know is Barcelona can really isolate Lamine against the replacement left back. And we need to see that Lamine's going to be the person, Lamine that we are used to seeing, or if we're going to see a tired, grumpy old Lamine that looked like he... turned not 19 but 29.

Mikey Morales: So something that's dangerous for this bet is athletics transition speed and set piece qualities that could really produce one goal and turn a likely Barcelona victory into a a one goal margin.

Mikey Morales: So fall back if this gets down to a over a minus 20 and do not automatically replace this over a three and a half. Our official play two is Coventry City versus Hull City under two and a half goals.

Mikey Morales: This is going to come at a half unit at plus 100 at FanDuel. And our play to boundary is a minus one Oh five. There's no significant defensive injuries. in this final follow -up.

Mikey Morales: And. I ah Jai and Mendy are not both unavailable are not both unavailable whole retain their back five structure and coming to avoid an unexpectedly aggressive two strike lineup So... A core reason why we put this is holes compact 541 and Coventry's misleading score. missing score in how she write.

Mikey Morales: Create a game in which home possession may produce crosses and corners rather than repeatable central chances. Our biggest danger here is, of course, the fact that Mason Clark's return and both teams' set -piece strengths could produce a lot of goals without sustained open play pressure.

Mikey Morales: Fall back. is a pass here

Mikey Morales: Now we have our. Last official play as Juventus versus Parma and both teams score being no at a half unit. through a minus 145 and a reduction of a quarter unit if we have a minus 146 to 155 minus 155 are Pre -recording price that we found was a FanDuel at minus 134. That was on Tuesday out on FanDuel. And our boundary would be a minus 145 half a unit.

Mikey Morales: So... Juventus retained a credible goalkeeper and central back pairing without multiple defensive absences. This is going to be really helpful for for them. And.

Mikey Morales: if they can provide that. And also, if Yildiz's absence alone does not invalidate that position. So a core reason why we put this as official play is Juventus' midfield to control and second ball recovery should isolate El Bilal Touré.

Mikey Morales: making Panama scoring probability a cleaner target than Juventus' expensive victory margin. A danger is one successful Tory transition. Defensive mistake on Parmas at peace defeats the wager immediately.

Mikey Morales: So we pass. If... we don't see is the stake that that's correlated under two and a half as an automatic replacement. So the board carries three official positions for maximum of of a unit a half, and Juventus qualifies only in the reduced entry range, that maximum.

Mikey Morales: Mom falls to her mind. 1 .25 units. Every position has a price or availability boundary. If a boundary is crossed, the analysis may remain useful while the wager no longer exists. So the board records what we are betting. The watch list records what we're trying to learn. Because the most valuable result from the weekend may be the evidence that proves a... a future decision.

Mikey Morales: So let's look at our weekend watch list, and this will be our last thing for today. A team under the microscope. to look up. is, of course, Manchester United being down, losing 2 -0 to a would -be a consensus. team of being the the one of the three teams that was would be in for most people, um viewed as the... the team that would go down and be relegated.

Mikey Morales: So can United rebuild midfield rebuilt midfield turn possession into repeatable high quality chances while maintaining protection against transition? That's the question here. After losing 2 -0 to Hull, returning to Old Trafford against promoted Ipswich should automatically produce a comfortable response.

Mikey Morales: Holds win in Ipswich's opening victory are... are also tells of Hey, these... Big name teams. They got to show up every week. They're not just gonna have an easy let up here even on a home match So something to watch is whether United progress centrally into Bruno Fernandes and the attacking line or rely on crossing and long green shots. and whether the midfield's counter -press stop Ipswich's first forward pass.

Mikey Morales: If we... Have. Upgraded evidence. Something that we are able to see in this game is repeated combination through the middle, the midfield leading to cutbacks or close range chances. Ipswich transitions outlets isolate the turnover a recovery before they cross midfield.

Mikey Morales: A downgrade evidence that we have is Bruno's dropping deep because the first phase cannot advance possession. It's which repeatedly escaped the press and forcing United's defenders into emergency recovery. recovery run.

Mikey Morales: so Paulo Dybala, again, that Paulo Dybala Malin. This is a play a role that we're going to look at Paula DiBella as attacking connector at the in the Serie A.

Mikey Morales: And why it matters. Dybala created all three goals in on opening weekend hat -trick as Roma beat Fiorentina. While the Dybala -Malen connection produced three goals for three assists. So Dybala consistently connects midfielder to midfield to Malen can remain closer to goal. roma's wing backs preserve their width and the second attacking midfolds can attack the the weak side So what to watch is on ball.

Mikey Morales: Is the ball receiving between Litch's midfield and defensive? Defense while flank playing forward facing forward and also the off -ball cues, whether his movement pulls a midfielder or center back away and creates space for Mullen.

Mikey Morales: And that, of course, the transition cues is whether Dybala becomes Roma's first option after a regain or whether the liches immediately prevent that connection. A restraint we have here is one dominant performance does not prove that the partnership will work against every defensive structure. Lecce may defend deeper and deny Dybala the open spaces Fiorentina allowed.

Mikey Morales: Sandoval is also returning from entry to -disrupted previous season. So his workload his workload is going to remain pretty low. At least predictably. A tactical question of this weekend is really asking, can territorial control become a central chance?

Mikey Morales: Can... Toodles. Territorial control becomes central chance creation. So we're gonna example is going to be all of us in Villarreal. Villarreal should have more possession.

Mikey Morales: Bye. Can they penetrate Alaves' 5 -3 -2? centrally, or will their control remain outside the defensive back? In the Premier League, we already had our featured match. is ah Kevin Tree and Hull. Can Radoni and Hammer receive between Hull's line? Or will Coventry settle for crosses towards the three center back rules?

Mikey Morales: Again, with Bundesliga, we don't have enough enough evidence. But something an interesting game, because we talked about Leipzig, is Leipzig versus Mönchengladbach. Can Leipzig aggressive aggressive new system replace its missing attacking production with clear central chances? They lost their best player in Diamande. Can they still do this? Or will the new structure produce pressure without enough finishing quality?

Mikey Morales: And lastly, we have in our another featured match in Juventus and Parma. Can Juventus turn possession and second ball control into penetration? That's the question. And his yield is yoda's absence.

Mikey Morales: Kine... Still. Mm. be a gap? Yes, of course there, but that can be filled by Smoletti. So the best pass of the week. I would say. is Aston Villa versus Arsenal. Arsenal money line.

Mikey Morales: Why the soccer case is tempting. Is Arsenal or the more likely to win this game? They opened with a 3 -0 victory while Villa lost 4 -0 and didn't look like they were ah even a championship team.

Mikey Morales: Villa's midfield defensive spine and striker situation have all been disrupted. the are losing ollie watkins They're... potentially gaining another striker. I'm trying to now to remember who that striker is, but I don't i don't know if they're going to be able to get them in time.

Mikey Morales: i'm remembering now it's um the Chelsea striker. um in Nicholas. Um... That's it. Nicholas Jackson, which I don't think it's gonna be solving problems. So why the current prices?

Mikey Morales: Our uncertainty says pass is approximately a minus 190 sits too close to the projected fair range to provide a meaningful cushion for us. Phyllis Park's historical home strength still deserve respect here. So Arsenal also carry defensive availability questions. and and Ezri Konca arriving from Villa, while Saliba and Timbre have dealt with injuries throughout the... the

Mikey Morales: end of the World Cup slash coming into the season. So the main risk is Villa's transition and set -piece routes could make Arsenal work much harder than the two -opening scoreline implies.

Mikey Morales: Where we can reconsider it is if we see a minus 175 come up or better or confirming both team strikers and defense availability here. So Arsenal may still be the right soccer read and the wrong wager.

Mikey Morales: at the current price there's not enough separation between likely winner and actual value so that distinction is why this belongs on the watch list instead of the official board We have covered the evidence that the uncertainties in the match. The match is worth carrying into Monday. Before we go, let's return to the official board.

Mikey Morales: And the one question that connects the entire weekend here. Before we go. Here's the official market board. Play one. Barcelona minus one and a half against Athletic Club for half a unit through minus 120.

Mikey Morales: two or minus 120. It requires Lemina Star and Basha Lona to retain a strong attack. Play two. Under two and a half goals in Coventry against Hull for a half unit. through minus 105.

Mikey Morales: Holds back five, must remain intact. Play three both teams have scored. No in Juventus against Parma for half a unit through minus 145.

Mikey Morales: From minus 146 to minus 145, reduce it to a quarter unit. Passive event is defensive structure is materially weakened. That is a maximum of one. or 125 if Juventus' stake is reduced. The question we'll carry into the weekend is this. Can the favorites convert territorial control into clear central chances? On Monday, we'll audit the game script.

Mikey Morales: closing prices, and decision risks, and whether the results confirmed the process or merely disguised it. This. is the European soccer ad show.

Mikey Morales: And I'm glad you guys were able to enjoy. Enjoy the weekend. Also. Be feel to like and subscribe to wherever you're listening to this podcast. I'm.

Mikey Morales: I have it on Apple Music. um Also on on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. but ah Script. or snipped. Um, And i I want to continue this. This is, again, really fun. I want to be able to do this visually. So I'm hoping to.

Mikey Morales: create a YouTube account, as well as like a TikTok and Instagram account. I want to be able to. to post this and also give a really quick aspect of what our board is going to look like giving visuals. So look forward to those things coming up in the not so far future.

Mikey Morales: I'll talk to you guys later Have a good one.
