Speaker: Hello everyone and welcome to the Galactic Podcast. I'm Lauren Romo with me as always is my cousin and fellow nerd Andrea Jones. What's going on? Hey.

Speaker: Little tweak to the intro. Little change there. Changey change. We all love that. J-O-N-E-S. Damn right. We love it.

Speaker: We love it. It's been a minute, cuz. What's going on, man? Nothing. Just chilling. You know, trying to get back into this Star Wars vibe because a lot of things are happening.

Speaker: oh Star Wars is a moving and a shaking. It is. For sure. Projects are coming out real soon. Celebration's coming next year. So there is ton of Star Wars coming down the pipe. So we're excited for it.

Speaker: We did go see Mando and Grogu. We did. I enjoyed the movie. Yeah, you saw it twice. I've only seen it once. I did buy it, though, because obviously I'm going to buy every Star Wars movie. Oh, you did? I bought it, too Yeah. So I got to do a rewatch. But I love the movie. I think we both really enjoyed the movie.

Speaker: um Fun adventure. Can't wait to see them again. And whatever they do with them, I don't know if it's going to be tv or another movie. Who knows? But I'm excited.

Speaker: I love movie. I enjoyed it. I'm hoping for a show. Yeah, I wouldn't mind the show. i feel like it's a... I feel like they need to go back to those roots. Not that the movie didn't, like, wasn't good, but... So, I guess ah we're so used to that seeing them on TV in a series and then, you know, seeing them on the big screen was great.

Speaker: But it just felt it felt kind of like, okay. Like... I miss series. I miss going on a big long adventure, which this was. Yeah. i got sure so but yeah I have minded TV though, too. I agree. i agree ah I also like little short pockets of stories, you know, which I feel like you have the capability of doing with a show.

Speaker: Yeah, I agree. I agree with that. I agree with that. I think I can't remember if there are rumors of them doing another season. and I got to had to look that all up, but I thought there was a rumor about them doing another another season for sure. so Time will tell, kids. Time will tell.

Speaker: Outside of Mandu Grogu, though, we have a lot. There's a couple things we need to talk about. So, if this is your first time listening to us, welcome. we are Star Wars Podcast to discuss anything and everything within that galaxy far, far away. each Each episode, we will dive into one or two topics and have a general discussion on them.

Speaker: Topics could be movies, TV series, books, comics, a specific character, you name it. And we talk about it. Okay, Ange.

Speaker: Came, has come, and went. Usually... um From my experience or from my recollection, d twenty three is not like a huge newsy event. woo who You know, usually it's like San Diego Comic-Con, like kind of those big conventions, New York Comic-Con.

Speaker: But ah we got some Star Wars-y stuff on start with... so let's start with Ryan Gosling in the Starfighter.

Speaker: because love that guy. I'm huge fan. Huge fan Ryan Gosling. I think it's... This movie seems like it's going to be fun. Like, just the way Sean Levy is and then Ryan Gosling, like, that I think is this is going to be a heck of a ride.

Speaker: So, according to star wars du com ah They came out on D23, did a little ah preview, sneaky, peeky preview of the movie, like a little trailer. Yeah.

Speaker: I totally did not watch that pirated. I did not, promise. I saw it. I didn't even know it was it was pirated. I was like, oh. Yes. so But they they showed a kind of little quick little teaser trailer. um We have since Sean Levy has obviously given Gosling's character's name and it is, where does it say it? Cade? Cade.

Speaker: alberon alberon it's such a star wars name it really is yeah like doesn't isn't it though like it really is a star warsy name like i i love that well alberon almost even sounds like a planet yes isn't isn't there a planet don't know there's it's it's very close though i agree it does sound like if it does sound like a planet So they gave his, that's his character's name, hints, you know, they kind of gave hints of like, he's on the wrong side of the galaxy and he is intertwined with a very, with a the fastest starfighter ever built. So seems like it's just going to be a adventure, straight out adventure, and it's going to lot of fun for sure.

Speaker: When you hear the wrong side of the galaxy, what, I mean, what does that mean? Like, are you a rebel? Are you a resistance? Are you an imperial, ex-imperial? Like what is wrong side of the galaxy do you think means?

Speaker: That's a good question. I it obviously could be multiple things. It could be the you know, if you think,

Speaker: Tatooine is like, what is that? Outer Rim, I think. Yes. I mean, you could maybe say Tatooine's on the wrong, like on the wrong side of the galaxy. Like, well, at the time that we know, obviously, like it was run by the Hudson and everything. Like, I don't know if it's kind of like that, like, you know, just on the wrong side of the tracks per se, you know,

Speaker: I kind of like where you're going with it, though. Is it ex-Imperial stuff? um Is it, you know, remnants of of the First Order?

Speaker: Or is it like the Rebellion stuff, too? Yeah, that's that's a good question. i do I'm fascinated to know what that means. I like that little tease that they did with that, you know, because it does open a variety of possibilities.

Speaker: We do know that this film takes place like after the ah Skywalker saga. So this is brand new territory.

Speaker: Yeah. Which I love. I'm glad we are going... beyond you and I've talked about that before yeah going beyond the start like the Skywalker saga needs to happen and this is what this movie is going to do is go beyond that which that's very exciting I didn't realize though the cast I forgot who they casted in this freaking movie like Matt Smith Maya Goth

Speaker: Yeah. Amy Adams. Yeah. Like, I forgot this cast is kind of stacked for for a Star Wars movie. It's kind of lit with, like, really good actors. So that's exciting, too, for, like, for me, like, seeing these characters Kind of bigger names for sure, right? normal Bigger than normal in Star Wars.

Speaker: I mean, Ryan Gosling is Ryan Gosling. Amy Adams is Amy Adams. Then Matt Smith, hello. Hello. Damien Targaryen. And Mr. and Doctor Who. like Yeah. cause there was that What was that way back when?

Speaker: He was supposed to be in The Rise of Skywalker or of Fates, whatever they were going to call it. Yeah, wasn't that the whole big rumor? Yeah. That he supposed to be maybe a younger palps or something? think. I heard maybe he was supposed to be the brother, like, of Mortis, like, the Mortis brother.

Speaker: That would have been sweet. Yeah. But I don't know. I could be making stuff up, but I could have swore that's what, that that was one of the rumors I heard. Yeah, there was, I mean, obviously, back then there was a ton of.

Speaker: rumors going around of like who Matt Smith could be. But yeah, he was supposed to be in that movie ah before obviously everything changed.

Speaker: that ah The good or worse, whatever that's, that's people's opinions. um But the cat, like the cast is very stacked. Yeah.

Speaker: And again, I feel like it's very different than what we usually see in a Star Wars movie, right? Like, yeah, we might so have some big names, right? But like having like pretty big names is kind of a little bit of a different pivot.

Speaker: i don't know if you would agree with that. Like having bigger actors in this world. Yeah, I feel like I'm not mad about it either. I feel like Star Wars is usually kind of like this up and coming like unknowns that then become greater actors. I agree. Eventually, um you know, I think of like Oscar Isaac, you know, so and then like I even think of like Natalie Portman from the prequels.

Speaker: So, yeah. Because Hayden Christensen really, too. Oh, yeah. Hayden Christensen. I mean, Liam Neeson was pretty well-known then, I guess. Right. I mean, Samuel Jackson was well-known. But, again, he was probably, like, the one guy the prequels that, like, was big name. Unless it was, like, Christopher Lee, right? The guy that played Dooku. Yeah. Yeah. So, I'm not mad at them kind of going this route, especially...

Speaker: Doing this in an era that we're not familiar with. i feel like that's a better way to do it than like if you put these big name actors in these eras that we're really familiar with.

Speaker: i know my head My head can't, like that doesn't work for me for some reason. i don't know if that's how you feel too, but that doesn't like, I'd rather have it be the up and coming within, like in those eras that we are aware of.

Speaker: Then if we're out like this, going outside of that, of like brand new era that we're not like in having these big name actors, I'm cool. Like that. I'm cool with it Does that make sense? i don't know if that makes sense at all. I mean, you think about it, like the Mandalorian has like Pedro Pascal now, you know, um I feel like.

Speaker: Star Wars maybe needs to be more looked at as like mainstream. But just because you have like famous actors in a movie doesn't mean the movie is going to be successful. Like I think about like true that one that ah Gosling and Emily Blunt was in, like the fall guy. Like, I mean, those are two huge actors and the movie was like a flop. So, yeah, that's true.

Speaker: Yeah, I mean, you can't really, I mean, until you until you film it and whatever, yeah i guess you really don't know, even if you put huge names on the on the billboards. It doesn't necessarily mean anything. It's not guaranteed, yeah. No, you're right, you're right.

Speaker: I feel like with those names, especially with Gosling, that will attract more of a gen pop like audience.

Speaker: Oh yeah. you agree with that? Like, I feel like that's not the, like, that's not the main reason, but maybe is a reason yeah that they were like, let's get like for the main character, let's get a big name yeah to draw more people, which I, again, I'm not mad at like, that makes sense.

Speaker: And I think this is good for star Wars as far as like a fresh start. yeah You know, to get back to the big screen with like an established actor like Ryan.

Speaker: And then again, you have him in your universe now, you can use it. but That's the best part, right? Like, yeah with assuming he doesn't get the assuming nothing bad happens in Starfighter with this character, like you can see him down the line and in other stuff, you know, possibly, which is cool. Like Ryan Gosling in Star Wars is kind of cool. Like that's sweet. So I'm, I'm interested to see how this all works.

Speaker: I do like Sean Levy. I'm a fan. Like I'm a fan of his stuff. I know you're, yeah, I know you are too. i mean, it's stranger things, all the Deadpool stuff. So yeah like he's a good director, so I feel like it it like it's going to be a fun ride.

Speaker: I'm it interested to see, because for me, his style, i don't know if you agree with this, Ange, his style is more, at least the movies that I'm used to watching him direct, they are, like specifically Deadpool, like they are more of like the funny...

Speaker: like one liner like type stuff sometimes. Yeah. I mean, yeah, there's definitely like an element of humor around like his projects.

Speaker: Like, I don't know if that gives you like gives pause. Because I feel like we've we've we've kind of been down this road before with Solo and having those who are good at it. No you know shade to those two gentlemen, um them miller Lord and Miller.

Speaker: like it just didn't work out. right Whatever happened, happened. We'll never know that story unless someone writes a tell-all book about it. I would read 100%. I would want to know that stuff.

Speaker: But I wonder if the vision that he is doing, maybe those elements aren't as prevalent. And not to say that Star Wars isn't like funny at times, right? But it's very subtle.

Speaker: Yeah. You know, so like if if that's kind of the route they do, then I'm cool with it. Like I don't need obviously like a slapstick Star Wars comedy movie, which I don't think they're going to do. Like that's i not saying that's going to happen, but I am interested to see how like his style gets integrated into the star Wars universe. It doesn't fit.

Speaker: We'll find out. Right. Like I, but I have faith that it will, because he's, he's a good director. Yeah. And he's got a good cast. So like, i I would not doubt that this will be a really good movie.

Speaker: I don't know if we talked about this before, but he... Sean Levy has mentioned that Tom Cruise was on set. What? Did you know about this? No. He has said that Tom Cruise, like when they were filming, was like in...

Speaker: in the area or whatever, right? And I guess he, like, asked Sean about coming to the set, and he i guess he did one day, like, in a helicopter.

Speaker: Sounds very Tom Cruise. Yeah. And I guess he, like, was, you know, on set watching stuff, and I guess supposedly, well, not supposedly, I think Sean did say he did, like,

Speaker: film like directed some stuff yeah uh whether or not that makes the final cut who knows but i just it's just interesting to me to know that there could be a scene in star wars that tom cruise directed and i yeah i don't know i feel about that but i mean i probably won't you probably can't even tell what it would be regardless you know but just the fact that that's like in my brain though i don't know if i could turn that off Does Tom Cruise have directing, ah like, has he directed it before? i don' That's a good question. I don't know. I'd have to look at his credits. He might have. I mean, he's, obviously, he's been a big part of, like, the the Mission Impossible stuff. Not that he directed, but he's, like, a producer. Yeah.

Speaker: Yeah. I mean, I wouldn't put it past him to, like, be good at directing, Just based off of like how... um He shows up and he was like, listen, I've flown a fighter jet since the 80s. Right. Right. 100% I could see that, you know. But him being so like into cinema, you know. yeah. Like i like i I could see him being like a good director. Like I like i could... That wouldn't surprise me.

Speaker: um But I found that story interesting though, that... Tom Cruise just randomly showed up on set. And I guess I was, what and then I, I saw an interview with Ryan Gosling and he said that he wasn't on set that day.

Speaker: So he like missed the whole, the whole thing. So that to me, that's even more funny that the main care, like the main guy wasn't even there. Wasn't even there.

Speaker: so that i guess like the that will be probably like a you know a myth legend story right like of of that movie like tom cruise was there and this is what happened like behind the scenes stuff like i love that that'd be cool um now the little teaser that they did show like i said way i we i have seen it sounds like you have seen it too i liked it like it it gave i don't know if this makes sense It gave star Wars vibes, but it gave not Star Wars vibes. Like, almost Andor-esque, if that makes makes sense. Oh, yeah, totally. Like, it it seemed, it felt Star Wars, but then it felt...

Speaker: more than that like a little bit like ah a different type of star wars like andor or you know mando pro one yes yeah that's what that's kind of like the vibe get from that little teaser that we saw I like how you felt too. Like, what what what were you thinking?

Speaker: i i agree too. And I think it's like what's needed, especially like when you have like a star cast and you're breaking away from traditional Star Wars. Like you have to have something that looks, I don't know, not like, not current, but like.

Speaker: Well produced. Yeah, no, I get what you're saying. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Not saying that like, you know, the sequel trilogies weren't well produced, but they were very, like, very Star Wars, very Disney, very, yeah you know, so, yeah, if I think of like Andor, Rogue One, even Solo, and you know, some of Mando, it's kind of pushing away from that,

Speaker: that overproduced look or that like a Disney look more gritty. Yeah. Yeah. yeah that Yeah. I, I, I a hundred percent agree. I feel like, again, just from what they showed, very small teaser, but it looked very more grounded than like a big star, like star Wars, like adventure fantasy. Is that me? Like,

Speaker: It gives those and or and like kind of those gritty, like the gritty feel to it, which I'm i'm excited for. I i think. If that's the tone, then I think it will general audience, I think, will gravitate to it.

Speaker: Yeah. You know, and I think this will again, outside of Ryan Gosling being the main guy. I think this will help but you know because it's outside of this, like we like we talked about earlier, it's outside of the Skywalker saga.

Speaker: This can be a one of those entry points that we've talked about, right? Where people get into Star Wars. this copy me like This could be it.

Speaker: How do you feel that it's releasing in May around the same time that they're also focusing on like the 50th anniversary of A New Hope? like It feels a little crowded, right?

Speaker: Yeah, i see what you're saying. it Kind of piling it on in the month of May when the original... Yeah, I see what you're saying. um I mean, I'm not mad at it.

Speaker: I mean, May... I mean, it's it's outside like... of like I think where it might run into trouble to like other movies. It's not in December because we know next year, December is Secret Wars, Marvel side note. So like it's, it's not going up against as of right now, going up against like ah another big franchise, which obviously it has in the past. And we know how that turned out.

Speaker: So I don't mind it, especially with it being the 50th. You can really market it well. With, you know, being, oh, this is 50th and, you know, 50th Star Wars. Here's a new Star Wars movie. You know, ah like you can do it and it'll be fine. Like I'm not.

Speaker: I guess I'm in, i I guess I'm indifferent about it. Like, how do you feel? Did you feel like it's too much for them to do? Cause I mean, obviously celebration is not that far off from that time either.

Speaker: Is celebration what April? Uh, yes. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it just, it seems like a lot. um It does. No, I mean, understand. I mean, it's cool because like, let's see, Ahsoka season two starts in January.

Speaker: So like we come like right off the heels of that and then are in like April. We get new news and then we get into, you know, new movie revamp of old movie, which I'm super excited for. um I can't wait if they ever, i want them to do an original ah release of Return of the Jedi over anything.

Speaker: But... um Yeah, I, you know, I think that it might divide a little bit of the fandom. Not divide, but like, oh, I'm going to see the original. This new Star Wars stuff isn't mine. You know, I don't know if people talk like that, but I can kind of imagine some people do.

Speaker: But, I mean, i'm going to go see both. But it just seemed like maybe it could have been like ah ah like a summer release, like a Fourth of July, like a, you know, like a a summer blockbuster movie instead. So, but I don't run Disney or Lucasfilm, so they have better. They pay the big bucks. Yeah. To make these decisions. But no, I get what you're saying too, because it does, like, sometimes when we have gotten oversaturated with Star Wars,

Speaker: it it doesn't go well sometimes. Nope. Sometimes, sometimes it's great. Right. It has like a shelf life, you know? Yes. You're not wrong in that. I mean, that's not like a knock, like everything has a shelf life, but like when you put a lot of star Wars in a short amount of time,

Speaker: And then like you, and then basically after this, right, what are we going to get? Like, then it's like maybe two years or whatever until we get something new. you know I'm saying? So it's like they pack, sometimes they pack a lot in, in a year or within a small time span. And then we don't see new stuff until,

Speaker: whenever, right? What is it about Star Wars and they don't know how to like express like restraint, you know? i think about like Mando and Grogu, like the merch aspect of it was like throw up, right? There was just too much it. That it was too much that people were like, oh I don't even want to see that, you know? And the stuff like, it wasn't, it was quantity, not quality, you know?

Speaker: And I feel like Star Wars does that so often. They're more about the quantity and not the quality. I see what you're saying. I don't i don't totally disagree with that. like the Maybe the small pushback I would say is we know star Wars is very tied in with merch.

Speaker: Yeah. Right. I mean, since it came out, the the figures, all that stuff. So, I mean, it' it's not surprising that they would do that, but like you're saying, does that like lessen some of it because they're so saturating that market? Yeah. um again I, again, I don't disagree.

Speaker: um But I, yeah, I don't disagree, but I think, I feel like that's just how Star Wars has been. You know, like they've been about merch.

Speaker: They've been about like all that stuff. And that, I mean, and that's George Lucas people. yeah I mean, let's not forget. He got his own, like he wanted to do the merch and get paid for it.

Speaker: Like he was smart enough to realize what this could do. Right. Way back when. And I mean, i they're good about doing merch even when it's like an off season. Right. You know, like yeah there are always like Hasbro releases. There's always a Lego Star Wars release. There's always, you know, like ah I can't think of another name of toy, but there's but when it comes around to like the movie, it's just like, man, well, let's just our, what we have, right. What we normally like promote, like Lego Hasbro, those kinds let's stick with that. Right. Instead of just like throwing up Grogu everywhere, you know? Yeah.

Speaker: Yeah. I mean, I think, I think,

Speaker: I think that because of Mandu and Grogu, because of how big that character is, right? They're trying to capitalize on it. Yeah, which again, i can that that's that's marketing probably 101. When you have something hot, you keep producing and people will buy the be ah buy that, right? So i think with Starfighter, I am interested to see the merch that comes out with it.

Speaker: right? We talk about, like you talk about the Lego sets that usually come out with movies. Will they have that? Like, will we get that stuff with this movie? I mean, I would assume yes, because again, this is kind of Star Wars, right? i mean, they come out with the toys, the the Lego sets, all that stuff. So I am interested to see like the merch that comes out with that.

Speaker: i mean, there's never been a movie that hasn't had a Lego Star Wars promotion behind it. Like even Solo Dead and even Rogue One. So it's just maybe not as large as, like, you know, something within, like, the big universe.

Speaker: Yeah, within, the like, the Skywalker saga. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, that's true. So, yeah, I mean, I am interested to see, like, the merch. I do like um they – Ryan Gosling put on, like, a jacket.

Speaker: Oh, hell yeah. That's so cool. Like, the upside – Like, an upside down, like – Rebel. it call or so Yeah, like, it was It was cool. I like that. Like, again, that's the type of merch that I feel like, and i hope that they...

Speaker: like release like i'll buy that shirt in a heartbeat oh heck yeah i yes 100 and you know who will everybody else like like it's everybody else would buy that merch especially star wars nerds like us like we will buy that merch like it so yeah i'm i'm interested to see like what the what they do with the merch right like it's gonna be it's gonna be interesting um i Yeah, I mean, i'm I'm excited for this movie. I really am. Like, i'm I'm interested to see how it turns out as far as, like, the

Speaker: the marketing of it, I think is going to be huge. Because sometimes sometimes, and I think we've talked about this before, the marketing of movies doesn't go very well sometimes with Star Wars.

Speaker: no It lacks sometimes. like It always lacks. There's not enough trailers. There's not enough, like, there should have already been, like, a ah ah true teaser, don't you think? And maybe that's coming. Who knows, right? Maybe that's coming. For what, football season?

Speaker: I mean, again, wouldn't do Monday Night Football trailers. Like, we're back in that, like, timeline, which is fine. But, I mean, I would, i would, I would,

Speaker: guess that it will be coming out soon only because a with doomsday you attach that to that you know you put a star wars trailer before doomsday if you're smart oh yeah so like i could see it coming out maybe around that time or a little bit before and that plays you know before doomsday and that's again me this is how i would think of it You know how people go see Marvel movies.

Speaker: And maybe they're not the biggest Star Wars fans, but you put a trailer like that with Ryan Gosling in front of Doomsday, you're going to get a maybe bigger reaction generally audience, right? Like if you do that. So we'll see. I mean, I wouldn't... That's what I would do. But again, yeah, we don't work at...

Speaker: we not part of the marketing team at Lucasfilm or Disney. So we'll see what they do. It's going be interesting. Anything else, Ange, with Starfighter that you want to talk about or you're looking forward to or anything like that?

Speaker: Nope. No, i I mean, you know what I've never seen Ryan Gosling-wise is like Blade Runner. you watch that? Oh, haven't seen him in that. Stevie Driver, is that the other other one?

Speaker: Something like that. Yeah, Driver. Driver. Driver, yeah. Baby Driver was, the side note, really good movie still, though, too. but that was Yeah. yeah Driver. I feel like I'm going to have to, like, ah catch up on my Gosling... um Filmography?

Speaker: pulp Pop culture, you know, wisdom. Yeah. I mean, he's to his credit, he is, he has a wide range of stuff, right?

Speaker: Comedy's drama, uh, you know, uh, is Ken and Barbie. Like he, he has a range. So like, I, I fully have faith that whatever his character is, like who Cade is, like will be Quinto Central Ryan Gosling, and it will be very good.

Speaker: yeah right like It's going to be great. so i'm not yeah I'm very interested to see some of these other... like Matt Smith, who's he playing? Amy Adams, who's she playing? right like i Do we get any type of Jedi stuff in this movie? I don't don't know.

Speaker: i don't think so. I think it's more like, with the Upside on Rebel, I feel like it's more like political... war oriented, you know, maybe even like a kind of like an apocalypse themed, you know, I wouldn't hate it. I love that. Or maybe it's just straight up like a racer movie, you know, maybe it's days of thunder in star Wars.

Speaker: you imagine? And that's why Tom Cruise was there. connections, kids. This is what we just did. Just figured it out. Rubbin' is racin'. We put the stars aligned. we put it on.

Speaker: so

Speaker: Tom Cruise directed a driving scene. Hey, Days of Thunder is a good good movie. Oh, it's fantastic. yeah I love that movie. It's a great movie. It is, 100%. So, i yeah, i I'm excited for it. I'm i' excited to see what they do with it, especially with the cast and all that stuff. Like, I'm pumped. And I'm glad we're going, like we talked about, i'm glad we're going way outside. and i can't remember if they said how, like, far out we are but we are...

Speaker: Far out enough to where obviously this is all brand new territory. Yeah. Right. So a timeline we've never seen before. Correct. Right. This is all brand new stuff. So. Which is cool.

Speaker: Yeah. I mean. Which is cool, but dangerous. Right. Because some of what's best about. star wars is the nostalgia is the remembering of the old you know the call back to the old and if it's so new like it might not have that star wars nostalgia appeal that's a good point and i should work for lucasfilm i don't know why they don't call me I mean, you were in the writer's room. What what show was it? You were in the writer's room. I don't know. Mall or something. I don't know.

Speaker: You were the writer's room that was. But yeah, I mean, that's a good point. Like, does it lean into some nostalgia, like in some way, shape or form? I mean, there's ah there's a rebel symbol. So I'm going to have to say yes. Right.

Speaker: It's good point. So I'm going to have to say yes. And I mean, that's what everybody's geeking about, right? That symbol, because it it gives a tie back everything that we know.

Speaker: Yeah. So, I mean, will we get small references? Which is fine. Like, if they if we get small references, that's cool. Like, I don't like, and I don't think they'll do this, but I don't want it to, like, you know, some brand new Jedi show up in this movie. you know what I'm saying? Like, yeah don't take away from, I think, what it could be, right? Like a fresh start, brand new characters, brand new era, but you can mention what has come before, like you're saying. But if Sebova shows up next to Ryan Gosling in a pod racer, I won't be mad about it.

Speaker: No, I wouldn't be mad about it either. I would not be mad about it either. oh that'd be great. Oh God. Give that to me right now. All right, so outside of Starfighter, next thing that came out of d twenty three was Ahsoka Season 2. And they dropped a teaser trailer and oh my God, give me this show right now. Like right now, inject into my veins. now I need this. Like, is it ready? Just release it. Yeah.

Speaker: just release what are we waiting for there's nothing else going on just release just just give it to us like we we deserve it why are we waiting we deserve this right now the trailer was so good it's so good like i like how they didn't shy away like oh yeah hayden's hayden's in this yeah we're not screwing around he's a force ghost we're gonna see a flashback you know the clone era and him wearing the clone era like winter outfit love it come on and then the throne of it all oh i can't wait like this is good like kim as a ezra with zeb yes the reunion oh can't wait for that like a

Speaker: Thrawn saying like, I'm declaring war on the Rebel Alliance. Yeah. come on calling them Calling them rebels. Like, they're still rebels to me. Like, the Empire never went away. like Right.

Speaker: Yeah. Right. Oh, God, I can't wait. Like, i I can't wait. Oh, God, I can't wait. And then Nightsisters? Live action Nightsisters? Yeah, I completely forgot that they, at the end of Ahsoka season one, he said, so like, set a course to Dothamir. Like, I forgot that's where they were going.

Speaker: Oh, yeah, yeah, right. And they got all those, like, we assume, like, ah coffins of, like, all these. Witches? Yeah, of the Nightsisters. But that was odd. due When those things drop down, attach, and then you're in the ship and they come out with, like, their bow and arrow green. Oh, my God. Oh, my god that That is so cool. like, the best.

Speaker: That was the best. So, I mean, that again, that leads to a lot of possibilities, right? Like Ezra versus Thrawn part two. Like, let's go. Like, I can't wait for that. yeah You know, um I can't, I can't wait to see what Ahsoka's journey is in Sabine. Like they're on that planet.

Speaker: where How are they getting home? If they get home, like what, what, what do they do? So that journey is going to be fun. Yeah, I love that it's going to be like two separate storylines. Like Ahsoka Sabine, yeah, and the Thrawn, Ezra,

Speaker: you know, Republic. The war of it, yeah. And then the, you know, the mystical, mythical stuff um on that, i can't remember what that planet's name is, but where they are. Paridia. Thank you, good job.

Speaker: Yeah, so I'm very excited. And then we saw, ah we saw um oh, God, the roll robot guy. the Oh, Hu Yang? Hu Yang fighting ah Shin.

Speaker: Grievous style. Yeah, that was awesome. With the four lightsabers. Come on. Dude, what about those lightsabers that had, like, the green, like, wispy to it?

Speaker: Yeah, the when that was like when young Ahsoka and Anakin. Yeah, but also i thought there was like an Ezra part where there was like this green like wispy like lightsaber. Yeah, that was definitely like the Dathmerian like mother Talzin blade. Yeah, yeah. Something like that. Yeah, that looked cool.

Speaker: That looked really, really cool. How about that lightsaber that seemingly not a Sith, but like he pulled it apart. It was like a staff, but then the saber was still like lit in the middle.

Speaker: Yeah. And it was like, power was fair yeah yeah that was crazy. That was, again, never, we have never seen that. Yeah. Ever. That type of lightsaber. That's cool. Like, I want to know more about that.

Speaker: I was watching Star Wars Explained and they were talking about in like one of the comic runs, Obi-Wan explained to Anakin, like, why Jedi don't, like, over-embellish their lightsabers. Like, true Jedi, they leave them in the traditional form. Right. And to, like, to show that they, like, have control and discipline. So, to me, like, if someone's making a lightsaber that comes out both ends and you can also, like, have ah a middle, you know,

Speaker: you know blade as well too right that it's someone that is ex-jedi and then like kind of veering off the jedi path kind of also like pong krell because remember krell had double sided yeah lightsabers yep you're right you're right that's good call good call shout out alex and molly star wars explains smart't people yeah they obviously if you're not listening to them or watching them you're you're doing it wrong But yeah, no, that's a really good point of

Speaker: true Jedi keep it simple. You know, like it's very like low key. Well, I also remember like in the High Republic, remember the High Republic blades or lightsabers were like so extravagant, right? Just like, you know, they were gold and they were like, you know, they they were just like ornament and all of that stuff. But eventually... They were very incitent. But eventually they needed to like push Padawans into Jedi's, Jedi's, Knights, and they needed to like mass produce lightsabers. So that's why the lightsabers look the way they do now.

Speaker: Because I know a lot of people are like, oh, why would they get away from you know these gold, frilly, awesome-looking lightsabers? And it's because they had to mass produce them to be able to fight the Nihil.

Speaker: So they just kept it as traditional. Like we shouldn't really be over embellishing our things. We should show restraint and just keep it simple. Keep it simple.

Speaker: Yeah. Which I mean, I don't mind that either. Like that's gonna kind of smart, I guess. But I mean, it is kind of cool when they like deck them out though too. so Yeah, it is. Yeah. It's pretty sweet. It's always cool. Yeah.

Speaker: So, I mean, i I'm good either way. But, yeah, I mean, like you're saying, that it makes sense of why they would do that, especially during that era. Like, they had to mass produce those things. So they had to not, like, really embellish it. They were just like, here, here here's here's some pieces. Here's a Jedi Jedi. You turn it on here.

Speaker: yeah Real quick, kids. This is what we need, like, right now. Here's your on and off switch. Yeah. So and then obviously within this Ahsoka season two trailer, we hints of the Mortis people?

Speaker: I think so. I'm pretty excited. I'm pretty pumped up to see where that goes because we know at the end of season one... um ba is it Balin right? is yeah here He's on top of that huge statue of the father like looking out so and I i remember you when you and i speculated there was speculation and we talked about it when we did our Ahsoka recaps that what could it could be, like, the mother and all that, like, stuff. Yeah.

Speaker: Which, it'd be pretty cool, but i don't I don't know if it's going to go that route now, though. My my theory was that Anakin was now presiding over the Force there, right? Because that's, like, in the Clone Wars, that's why...

Speaker: they got called there is because the father wanted to see if Anakin was truly the chosen one and if he could actually control the light side and the dark side and his son and daughter. and then all hell broke loose and everyone died.

Speaker: so um, like I'm guessing like that, I'm not guessing my theory flat out was that's the whole reason Anakin is there is because he's presiding over the force.

Speaker: And I'll stick to that theory. Yeah. I like it. It's not a bad... ah my I'm down for that three. But the whole, like, Aboleth thing and the the wife thing, like, that story is so strange to me because i don't really know where it comes from.

Speaker: i don't It's not from a show. It's not from a book. It's, like, just someone on, like... you know, like Wookieepedia decided, I don't, I don't know where it came from. And I need to like research that some more because the story is cool. Right. Like that's a, she went crazy and the father either killed her and then took, took the kids to, you know, Mortis to protect them or, and then, but she's like this deep, dark, she's the dark power that was supposed to preside over the, the, the son and the daughter.

Speaker: But I don't know where where that came from. So I need to research that some more. I want to say it's like connected to some type of... i don't know about Greek mythology. But some type of mythology um was I think where people were getting that from. Yeah, I'd have to...

Speaker: dive into that again too but i don't again that that like story i'd be cool with from again from this little teaser i just get the feeling that i i mean mortis you know the that is going to be like a part of it but i don't know how big of a part right like because what anakin tells ahsoka in the trailer is that balen He's looking for a power.

Speaker: Found or, yeah, or is looking, whatever. I can't remember the word he's used. The power to end all wars something that. Right, the power to end all wars. And that does mean, does that mean like to end all humanity? Right. You know? It's a huge, I'm not sure we've got to figure out.

Speaker: But yeah, the action looks great though too. Like the fight sequences they were showing like in space, like the battle looked pretty sweet. Yeah. Looked pretty good. look pretty good Can't wait.

Speaker: Looked pretty good. Looked pretty good, Dave. Very excited for it. But I'm excited to see it like too, like Ezra and Zeb, like you said, the reunion, I can't wait.

Speaker: And then you see Ezra in a fighter suit, a green fighter suit. Can't wait. Him flying. Can't wait. I just, I can't wait. I can't wait for this season. I am so pumped up. And then even like Sabine, like what's her journey now too? You know, like where does that go?

Speaker: Is she a Jedi? Yeah. But then like, again, the big question at the end of the trailer that Anakin asks Sokka, you know, are you a Jedi or not? You know, and that's been...

Speaker: Like that's been the question. Would you agree that of a soul? Yeah. Since she left the order, like, i am I a Jedi or am I not? You know, she tells Darth Vader, I am no Jedi.

Speaker: But now I love how it's kind of full circle now, right? Like now Anakin is asking it, you know, wanting to know it's not, she's not telling Vader, she's telling Anakin now, like, and he's saying is, you know, are you a Jedi? Yeah.

Speaker: are you a Jedi so does it matter to you if Ahsoka is a Jedi no I'll be straight up honest no I could care less if she's a Jedi or not Jedi I be right now in this moment I would say i would rather her her not be a Jedi just be who she is right very like very much like Ezra Ezra's not a Jedi he has He learned from Kanan, right?

Speaker: But is he a quote-unquote Jedi? Like, no. i don't I don't think he is. i mean, I guess that could maybe... be i mean I feel like the only person that grabbed onto that title so quickly was Luke Skywalker.

Speaker: Yes. Surprising no one, yes. That was Luke. Luke did kind of jump the gun on that. He was like, hey, I'm a Jedi. And they're like, hey, hey, hey. Maybe you should go to this planet first.

Speaker: Maybe we should talk to Yoda and let's finish your training. But but i get I guess with that though, ah again, I don't don't disagree. Kind jumped the gun on it. But you you obviously for storytelling purposes and everything, like he was being the Jedi who his father was, you know, like you get it, like whatever, you know, and they kind of did trying to think, did they really, they didn't call him a Jedi like Yoda or Obi-Wan.

Speaker: didn't call him a jedi at all ever like he kind of just anointed himself well i know when he comes back at return of the jedi and he goes back to dagobah and he says so so i am i am a jedi yeah and and yoda's like yeah he kind of laughs at him right doesn't he he was like yeah okay kid whatever kid yeah you can sure you're a jedi whatever why are you dressing all black bro

Speaker: I love Star Wars. But yeah, no, that's good point. Like, it doesn't matter. Again, no. I could care less if she says she is a Jedi or not. Like, I think the the notion of Jedi, of what that means, changes. Right?

Speaker: right like in the i mean if you go to high republic era right being a jedi was probably a huge deal right they were the protectors of the gals like truly you go to the prequel era right then jedi is still like meaningful but the beginning of the end yeah of that right Then you get into the original trilogy. Obviously, there's not a lot of Jedi left.

Speaker: Although, you know, Luke says he's one, which is fine. Whatever. That's fine. And then you move into the ah s sequel, right? Rey. she iss all She's all the jedi She is all the Jedi.

Speaker: I will say this, though. So I know it's controversial. the the The original script, right? The dual fate script was supposed to be a storyline where like Ray shows up in the middle of like this town because they're like trying to do like it's a little side mission. Right. And she starts fighting.

Speaker: And her lightsaber comes out and then like everyone around starts whispering like, oh my God, it's Jedi. Like, look, it's a Jedi. And there was like this excitement that people wanted the Jedi to come back or to see a Jedi was a big deal, which I feel like that sentiment was lost with whatever they did with the rise of Skywalker. But that's that's the one thing it's like, do does the galaxy even want Jedi to come back?

Speaker: I mean, that's a good question, right? Maybe we'll get answers eventually. Like, do right. Do they even want, like, I feel like at this point almost, well, not maybe not like truly the Jedi are almost like mythical people now.

Speaker: Yeah. Yeah. Like ever since the downfall. Right, right. Like people people are aware of who Jedi are, right? We know, obviously, we've we've seen that. ah Everything like post um Revenge of the Sith, like, you know, Kanan, for example, you know, we're talking about, you know, ah the Rebels crew.

Speaker: Like, you know, when he showed himself in episode one as a Jedi, like... That was awesome. That was a big deal, right? right Because you know you don't you nobody has seen them in a very long time.

Speaker: or they're you know Again, they're scattered, as we know, too, right? like They're scattered. We know that you know the whole um path that Ventress, assuming Ventress and what's-his-face, the Jedi guy. Quinlan Vos. Quinlan.

Speaker: Or maybe a part of that, like getting these force users and ex-Jedi, you know, into safe areas. So that's part of it. um

Speaker: But I think the, like the idea of Jedi has changed, right? So like when he asked her, are you a Jedi? Yeah. She could say yes, but it could be but the being a Jedi, I think, means something different than it did.

Speaker: right And I think Ahsoka's proof of that, right? Like her journey after she left the order, right? We've, we've, we've watched it.

Speaker: I mean, you see her in the last season of clone wars, right? Helping the sisters, h um you know, doing stuff to help others. It's that is being a Jedi, right? That is like the Jedi way.

Speaker: But is she quote unquote, a Jedi of like, you know, going around in the galaxy, helping like, it I don't, you don't need the title of Jedi to be a Jedi. And I think Sabine's kind of the same way, right? Like you don't have to be like a Jedi, like anointed Jedi, right? A Jedi Knight from the Jedi order to be what,

Speaker: that idea is what the idea of a jedi is i think and that was more important i don't either but i think if you're like if you consider yourself like a protector of the light side of the force then you you are a jedi like because that there's sith and then there's jedi right there has to be one or the other because there's a light side and a dark side of the force there's not like this middle area So if you align with the light side of the force and protect it, then you are a Jedi.

Speaker: And if you're not, then you are on the dark side or a Sith, like depending on how you want to see it. So I don't know. I think um i always like when there's Jedi and Sith. so um Yeah.

Speaker: i I mean, I always like, but I, you know, I definitely liked it when Ahsoka said, I am no Jedi because they they went on the wrong path and, you know, they disappointed her and she was, you know, she had enough foresight to like understand that.

Speaker: what they were doing was not the Jedi way. and So therefore she didn't want to claim herself as one anymore. But if you go back to the roots of like being a Jedi and being a a user and protector of the light side of the force, then yes, she would be.

Speaker: but Right. So again, it's like the i the idea of being a Jedi, I think is, and like you're saying, if you really want to protect, if you protect the light, that is being a Jedi. Being anointed like a Jedi Knight by the Jedi Order.

Speaker: I think that that's like long gone now, obviously. Right. Because that whole system crumbled. So I think it's more of the idea of what the Jedi represent.

Speaker: Right. It's is way more important than like. being called a Jedi is this if you follow what they believed in, right? Like you're saying, like if follow and protect the light from the dark, then yeah, you you are a Jedi. 100% you're a Jedi.

Speaker: But do you have to call yourself a Jedi? right Like you're saying, like, I don't know. I don't think she has to, but I feel like that's what, what's going to happen is she will say I'm a Jedi, which is fine. Cause she is, I mean, she is a Jedi through and through. She's probably one of the most Jedi. Oh yeah. A hundred percent Jedi. Like, you I mean, I, you could argue her, Kanan, Ezra are probably like the most Jedi to be Jedis in there who are not really just high anymore. You know what I'm saying? It's, it's,

Speaker: It's interesting that I kind of like how they have, when you kind of look at it big scope like that, like, especially through like Ahsoka's journey, what the Jedi were, what it came to, what it fell apart, right? Is all in her story, really.

Speaker: Yeah. You know? So it's, it's, it's going to be cool to see how that, like what her, like what she does decide, you know? it's I think it's interesting, though, too, that Anakin's like, that's a question that he wants her to answer.

Speaker: i find that interesting, too. Like, why why is that so important for her to claim to be a Jedi or not? You know, like what, like that, I hope, I hope we kind of find that out. i hope that's part of the journey. Yeah.

Speaker: Of like why that's important. Because to me right now, it's not important if she says she's a Jedi or not. Well, like, so in in the first season, when when they are fighting and like they, let's call it the world between worlds, there's like a moment where Anakin's trying to decide or to get her to realize that like her her anger towards the past is pushing her one way, you know, and and he tries to challenge if she is, you know, hit not necessarily he has allegiance to the dark side, but no longer can, can, um, call like the, the light side, her, ah like protector or companion or whatever. Right. So, um, He really challenged her in that first season, like, hey, are you are you like are you nothing? are you Are you bad? Are you good? right And I know those are very like simple terms, but he needed her to realize that the anger she was holding on to was not like serving her well, and she needed to...

Speaker: you know connect back with the light side. So now she connects back with the light side. Then what are you? Right? What are you? Are you, yeah are are you a keeper of the four light side of the what are you? So I think that's like the, the path we're going on is, is redefining like what Ahsoka is.

Speaker: Yeah, that's that's well said, because, yeah, I think that's definitely the journey. Right. Like of her deciding who who she is now, because you're right. Like in that first season, Anakin really pushed her to see like, you know, the past is the past. Right. Yeah. Define your future. Doesn't define who you are. Yeah, she was, like, mad at, like, how she got trained. She was mad that she was put into a war. She was mad that they they weren't protectors of the peace, that they were just warriors. She was mad at, like, what happened to Anakin, you know.

Speaker: She blames herself, too. I mean, we've talked about that. She probably blames herself. Yeah. Or what happened to him, too. that's I think that was a big part of that, too, right? Of him telling her to let it go, like...

Speaker: let your guilt go this wasn't on you was on me I know I love that part in the first in the first season he was like is is that what this is about right yeah yeah but he's 100% right though like if that's why you're like this is you are not paying attention and that's basically what he like that was the lesson like yeah you are not understanding what is like what I'm trying to teach you Because if you think that this is about you not helping me or like you will follow my path, like that's not it, kid. Like that's not it. I am teaching you to be better. I'm teaching you to learn from the past and still keep who you are. Like there's he's yeah, like she totally missed that at first, but then yeah she feet she caught on. ah But yeah, I'm excited to see that too. Like that.

Speaker: that grow even more right that relationship between ahsoka and anakin as a force ghost too like that's gonna cool as hell like i'm excited to see where that goes and like we'll sit we'll see being be able to see him yeah kind of excited to see where that goes like There's so much to be like really looking forward to in this show. 100%. Oh, heck yeah. Like I am, it's just so much. And I think it's because at least for me and maybe for you too, again, ah we love Ahsoka, right? She's a great character. It's one of our favorite characters. The rebels aspect of it too. I love, I love Ezra. I love Hera, Zeb, like all that stuff, you know? So I'm yeah excited to see those characters. Yeah.

Speaker: Right. And see what happens. Right. Do we get. I know I know we who usually don't go down the I want path or what I would like to see path, but I wouldn't mind a little Kanan like voice to Ezra.

Speaker: Yeah. Or even like if you bring like youre just doing quick voiceover, they like bring Jason in a little bit more. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Like Ezra, I would love, I think you and I have talked about this when we watching Ahsoka.

Speaker: i would love Ezra to be like Jason's teacher. Like that's, that's, that's a path that I really want Ezra to go down.

Speaker: For him to go from student to become the teacher, right? Yeah. of the Of the child that taught him. Yeah. Like, that's Star Wars, man.

Speaker: Like, if if anything is Star Wars, that's pretty Star Wars. Poetry, it rhymes. Exactly. And that... Dave Filoni would... he wouldn't He would bring out the poetry. Yeah, he would. 100%. And it would it would be so awesome if that was the case. like If that's what happens, I would be so freaking happy if that's how that like turns out.

Speaker: like He is the one that teaches Jason. You know what I'm excited for is that we already know like what everybody looks like, what they sound like, what their ah costume is or their makeup and all that stuff. Because I felt like in season one, it was kind of jarring getting used to. live action things that we used to see in animation and see them and hear them in different ways and now that we know like this is the way they are that element is gone so like we can just kind of like be in the story instead of feeling like this this kind of like

Speaker: like i don't know this like gravity like pulling us away from the story because we're so used to hearing it or seeing it one way yeah oh that's that's a really good point angie because yeah i think part of season one was trying to get used to that stuff right yeah remember how mad i was about theron i was like why does he have a beer belly like what are we doing guys

Speaker: He's a little older, so maybe he's he's gotten the dad bod instead of the general. I'm so mad. ah ah What are we doing here? I hyped him up for a bunch of people that didn't know who he was. I'm like, oh, he's like a master stra strategizer, but he's also like a a warrior. Like he could hold his own against Darth Vader. And then he comes out looking like that. and I'm like, wow, I feel stupid.

Speaker: Barragan, years have passed. be throwing i in i as he was not true yeah i mean i get it but again we get the voice yeah the voice is great that is that's the key to me i'm sorry like you put uh michael uh was it's not lars it's um what what brother is that whoever does the voice of uh thron yeah what is his first name mickelson not lars mickelson last name is mickelson No, it is Lars. Because Mads is the other Mads is the other one. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It is Lars.

Speaker: Lars' is like voice for this character is so good. It was so good in Rebels. It's still so good now. like I cannot wait to get more of that, right? Because we only got, what...

Speaker: And that two episodes of him at the last two episodes, yes seeing him and it's not like he got like a ton. If you really, if thinking about it now, he didn't get like a ton, a ton of time of like screen time. Really? Right. It was kind of quick.

Speaker: like interactions that we saw of him but i cannot wait to see more of like really him right for a full season yeah of him playing thrawn oh i can't wait i cannot wait for that yeah ah i can't wait anything else angie within this trailer though that like you you picked up or it gets you excited ah for season two Nope.

Speaker: I mean, it's all it was all good. It was all good. Yeah, I can't wait. yeah I can't wait for this show. I definitely felt like DiCaprio sitting in a chair pointing to the screen. Oh, 100%. Yeah, that was... Oh, there's that. There's that. There's Ezra. together.

Speaker: I hope we get more chopper. I do. I hope get more chopper. man, there's a part where chopper's like holding something over his head.

Speaker: need chop to be chop, man. I need i needed him to put your bodies on the list. I need him to be the menace that he is. I need chopper to be chopper. I hope we get more of him though too. Yeah, I love i love that droid. He's the best. All right, Ange. Well, that's it. That's our little recap, re-discussion There's, like you said earlier, man, this is, I feel like this is just the beginning of it, right? Because we got, like you said, Ahsoka in January.

Speaker: then we got probably a big, promote hopefully big like Star Wars promotion of Starfighter. We have Celebration look forward to. ah get somewhere we're getting mall season two.

Speaker: animation hopefully i don't know if we'll get to next year but maybe soon like i see there's some stuff i feel like is coming down and then again the announcements that we'll get at celebration when more movies like are we getting more movies we've heard about a lot of movies that were supposed to come out like forever like will we get firm confirmations like i need to know more about simon's trilogy And who is in that trilogy?

Speaker: Does it involve Rey? i need to know. need to know. Yeah, I feel like the only one we're going to get confirmation ah of would be Thelonious movie, right? Because I did, while we were doing this, I did, like, look on the internet, and they did not confirm Mando season four. Actually, they said, like, Mando is, like...

Speaker: is like canceled indefinitely so i feel like coming out of ahsoka season two and mando we would have to get like that mando verse movie that we were expecting to get that ties everyone together yeah so i i would think that would be next on the list and That would make sense to kind of wrap up that, like that whole storyline that we're, that we're watching. I do hope we get solid confirmation that the um Ray movie is happening.

Speaker: but they've They've said it. They brought her out at the last celebration Please, please do not let that fall to the wayside. I need a Ray movie. I do.

Speaker: I love Daisy Ridley. I love that character. i need, they need to do that. They do, but. And not let it fall to the wayside. Dude, people just crap on her so bad. It's disgusting. I don't understand. it it is It is so bad. like And I don't want her to have to go through that. like It's so bad. like People even like crap on her minifigure, right? like So stupid. It is so stupid. And like oh probably the worst character that Star Wars has ever made. like it's terrible It's so terrible.

Speaker: But I mean, maybe, you know, there's there's more of us, maybe. But yeah those people are definitely louder and their it is their opinion is so disgusting. And for me, like, I would just, like...

Speaker: I hate that she would have to go through that, you know, again, kind of almost like, I think it needs a little bit more time, right? Like kind of like how Hayden did it because there was times where people just flat out did not like him as, as Anakin Skywalker. Yeah. And so they were like, nah, as you know, so i don't know.

Speaker: Yeah, that's that's a good point. I mean, with time, maybe it, yeah, it will it it be better. But i just i don't I just don't want them to have announced something, bring her on the stage, right, and say she's back and it not come to fruition.

Speaker: well i mean that would that would kind of piss me off like that would be like what are we doing lucasfilm then like what are we doing and mean you're saying all this and you bring her out and then you're not doing anything they were gonna have taiko atiti do a movie you think that's happening anymore i know in there's what um kent kathleen kennedy said in that interview was it last year in the magazine that that was still like That was still on on the books.

Speaker: Still on the books. I would love a Taika Waititi Star Wars movie, but will we see it? Who knows? Will we ever see Donald Lover's Lando movie? Will we get Rian Johnson's new trilogy that I want so bad?
